Worse, medical transport ever!!! I’ve been an EMT myself for about 20 years before becoming a nurse & this is by far THE worse medical transport EVER!!! Consistently late for hours, very rude dispatchers, very rude employees. I would give them a negative star if there was an option.
Ambulance number 791, at a high idle, emitting dark exhaust fumes (diesel) no driver present, parked in front of my house and driveway from 4-6am on a Sunday. I called complained to Samanta who doubted the vehicle was there. took the complaint and advised she would reach out to the driver. Some 5 minutes later a gentlemen dressed in uniform exits the rear loading doors. gets in makes eye contact with me and together with the front seat passenger smiling, waving good by. while driving awayI called again spoke to Samanta asked to speak with the supervisor advised Eric the supervisor is not available.Following day the same Ambulance Idling, no driver, parked a block away. next to a residential home on Van Nest Ave. I asked the same front seat passenger who was laughing in conversation with someone seated inside the rear of the Ambulance. Why they there again causing a disturbance. A gentleman in uniform exits the rear doors. and calms the front seat passenger down who became confrontational. I called the base spoke to Samanta advised of the circumstances. who informed that she advised her employees to avoid parking near residential homes but she could not give a guarantee because the vehicle need to be close to the hospitals.Based on my interactions with this company: it is clear that my complaints were not handled professional and objective mannerand that the employees do not consider the property and privacy rights of people who live in residential areas and have to be so disturbed.together with my neighbors will be monitoring the situation I we will advise the Mayors office if it continues. Frustrated Home Owner
Two very professional young ladies showed up to move my mom from the hospital to a rehab center. The helped mento ensure discharge went smoothly and ensured everything was in order at the receiving center. Excellent service and actually seemed to care about my mom as an individual. Not just a job or package being moved.
This is a most incompetently run company. Delays of up to 3 hours. This is criminal! Should be reported to Medicare for the abysmal level of services provided to their members. If you are scheduled with this company, ask for another or be prepared to deal with unacceptable wait times. If your loved one is ill this will negatively impact their health and well-being. RUN FROM CITYWIDE!
I am a former employee of Citywide Mobile Response, many times i have complained about these issues and nothing is done. They are so disorganized that one part of the company has no idea what it the other is doing. They frequently force and put crews in unsafe vehicles that should not be out of the road. Examples include vehicles with exhaust fumes coming in the patient compartment, no air conditioning in the summertime. They frequent cut corners to save a dollar and put patient and employee safety at risk. They rather fix it with duct tape or medical tape then actually get it repaired. They frequently promote unqualified people to management positions because they are cheap, these unqualified people make countless mistakes. They frequently put trucks out on the road not in compliance with part 800, missing critical supplies just cause they dont have enough equipment to meet the demand. Examples include missing gauzes, suction, broken stretchers. And they always get heads up with DOH inspectors are coming and will empty the yard of vehicles and staff to avoid getting fined by DOH and put out of service. To meet the demand they cant handle a lot of calls are dispatched as priority calls when they are not. Discharges from hospital crews are instructed to go L/S and shut it down before they get there. putting public and drivers at risk every time one of their ambulances go lights and sirens.Routinely put the public in danger by putting drivers on the road who have worked doubles and triples in other departments because they cannot meet the demand of transports and their 911 contracts. Routinely putting unqualified EMTs and MVOs on the road putting their employees at risk and the public. Putting MVO in ambulances with no training on how to drive lights and sirens getting in accidents.
I enjoyed working st city just because David Roman was there. He was very strict however was doing his job. Another great dispatch was a Spanidh guy.. very helpful. I met good people but overall there was a big chaos and drama. 3 stars for the company AND 5 STARS FOR DAVID ROMAN and the Spanish dispatch that unfortunately I do not recall his name...upon dispatched in I was used to say going there.
I dont know who you are or the experience you had at citywide, but i can say i have worked for about 3 different ambulance companies including Citywide and by far Citywide is the Best ambulance company i have ever worked for....It is really hard to get fired at Citywide. you have to do something reckless or just over the top to get fired their.... they are pretty lenient if you ask me...you just have to do your job...i am not saying this because i am a supervisor there or anything like , in fact i am just a regular EMT their for 2 years now....
For The Heads Up , if Anybody Ever Works At Citywide Mobile ... Dont ever in your life get sick , because if you do they will fire you,Dont ever get admitted in the hospital , if you try to take the issues with the union rep , they will tell you even though you were in the hospital & can not go to work , you have to deal with the fact that your fired ! If you want to become an EMT , they wont let you , they will tell you to stay as a driver , even if you try to go to school on your own , they will fire you , Citywide Mobile is the WORSE EMS company EVER !! They dont care about employees or patients 🤷🏽♀️ their vans are always disfunctional , so if you get into a car accident because of FAILED BREAKS OR VAN RELATED ISSUES , they will BLAME you & FIRE YOU !!
Second time they show up late (time of doctors appointment) because they did not have enough drivers...what?!?!? Pick up was made and confirmed prior to appointment. Most of them are very serious and unprofessional. Blasting music on the radio. I don’t recommend this ambulance company.
I work at Fidelis Care doing transportation to book trips. Im sure Ive spoke to one of you before 😊I just want to say thank you for whoever member you guys transported on such a long trip. Just saw a vehicle here in Schenectady, NY. I know it can be a hassle. So thank you again for working with us.
Ambulance 772 has a female driver with serious aggression. I found this company unprofessional and extremely rude. However while searching other mobile response teams in the area. I found several that were much more professional, careful, and direct. CITYWIDE IS NOT RECCOMMENDED.
Wow , How Un Professional Supervisor Denise For Hanging Up On Me . Such a Simple Question No Need To Hang Up The Phone .I Worked For City Wide 20 Years Ago. It Was A Much Better Run Company When Roman Worked There. He Would Have Answered My Question or Replied Not Sure.
NO STARS. worst service ever. cancelled pick ups and drop off without notifying patients, were never on time. This company should close down and not exist. and if they happen to still manage to ruin patients lives while in business, the least they can do is train their staff. GOOD FOR NOTHING!
Had my mother pick up from Lutheran Brooklyn for a 10 minute ride home took her to wrong address across town my mother inform they were heading wrong way she was ignored by the drivers waiting about a hour to at wrong site My mother keep saying she does not live there I called dispatch they said they had wrong address mom arrived 2 and a half hour home scared and upset She cried feeling how she was treated she is 92 years old and able to understand I,m very upset and issuing a complaint to the hospital ,state and her insurance staff should have check after being told about the error by the patient zero stars 10/27 2020
This is a bad ambulance company if anybody needs a job just look elsewhere dont even bother going up there.Their name should be firewide not citywide because all they do is hire people make them work like slaves and then fire them even if you do as your told.I do not recommend anybody to go there looking for jobs.Nobody works for citywide for long all the employees who work there are looking to transfer somewhere else now what does that tell you, even the managers would advise you to either go back to school or go to another ambulance company so there

2022-04-15My brother Alex was a EMT with them for 2 years. He enjoyed it a lot. It was a hard work job to have, but also taught him a lot along the way. A lot of people complain about Ambulance Companies all the time, but do not understand that it is not tip-top easy-peasy. I will say thank you to Citywide Ambulance Response for being out there, & helping people. Mostly during the coronavirus time, & when NYC Really Needed Ambulance Companies out there. Thank you.

2022-06-29Horrible Service, starting with the dispatcher. I dont understand how they run their business. At first, my Dad was supposed to be pick up at 3PM, then at 6:45pm, then at 7:45pm, then at 8:30pm. There is no time management or accountability.

2022-01-19Earlier today (01/18/2022) at approximately 7am, 2 wonderful and lifesaving people arrived at my mothers house to transport her from Queens to Weill Cornell in Manhattan as an emergency. This is my first and hopefully last time using Citywide as an emergency to get a loved one to a hospital that I trust. From the dispatcher Brittany that answered my call to the 2 EMS (I regret not getting their names) that arrived .. I couldn’t be more pleased to have dealt which such professional and helpful people. They arrived at the house in the time that the dispatcher said (30 mins) and we arrived at the hospital quicker than the ETA. The EMS personnel not only had the patience of a saint with my mom by lifting her off of the floor in the most safest and professional way possible but allowed me to accompany her in the ambulance and got us there safely. I hope that this review lands in the right hand so that the 2 people that helped my mom this morning as well as the dispatcher Brittany are given the deserved acknowledgment. Thank you Citywide for helping my mom and my family by getting her to the hospital safely so she can get the medical attention that she needed. From the bottom of my heart thank you! Janine from Whitestone, Queens.

2021-05-29This company has good reviews but I must say that my review of this company is not good at all. My father has been waiting for an ambulance to transport him home for the past ,and no exaggeration, 6 hours. When I called this company 3 hours after the ER made the arrangements I was told by a dispatcher that it would be 45min more and that was at Approximately 7pm. It is almost 10:30pm. How much longer? I asked myself.

2021-03-22Citywide Ambulance went above and beyond for us. Everyone, from the receptionist who so patiently walked me through the booking process to the crew that transported my grandfather with care all the way to VA, were exceptional! Im incredibly grateful to have found them.

2021-01-23Most unprofessional ambulance service waited over 5hrs on several pick up for my mother. Every time you call it’s 30mins 45 mins 90 mins and they only have one ambulance. They are always changing the story on why they aren’t there. They don’t deserve any stars. They should be removed as a ambulance service for elderly ppl.

2021-07-28Citywide is very unprofessional they made my 88 year old mother wait 3to4 hour to pick her up from Diaysis. When you call them they say theyare coming in 45 minutes but they don’t come until 3 to4 hour later.

2021-07-19I am a former employee, Horrible it’s a shame I even work for them, they don’t even care about vehicle safety. These old ambulances are horrible and unsafe. When you make a complaint they try and say there’s nothing wrong with them when things break everytime they are used. They are soo cheap all they care about is money not their employees. Management is rude no respect.
