Positive: Nice hotel for such a low price. The halls actually smell soapy clean. The AC was running in my room when I entered so it was fresh. Chairs and beds were all very clean and comfortable. Negative: There was a very slight smell of stale cigarette smoke in one room but they switched me to another room without hesitation. Entire hotel has always been non-smoking so it may have been one rogue guest. Otherwise, no issues.
I recently stayed for 2 days. The front desk person was friendly. I wish they would provide you with information regarding wifi, amenities, (saw a small gym that was never mentioned).My room was okay. The air conditioner kept the room very cool which is always nice. There was a small hole in the sheet in my bed. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean. At one point the hallway smelled terrible. The smell was most noticeable near the hotels restaurant. It was good to see the hallways being mopped and the unpleasant scent seemed to go away. There are alot of restaurant options in the area. The only downside is that there are alot of homeless people that seem to wander around the area. I felt unsafe walking outside at night. The gentleman at the front desk who works the early morning shift,had loud music playing in the background .
Front desk staff was really friendly and polite. The room was clean and comfortable. Housekeeping was fast and friendly as well. Definitely going to stay here again when in the area
The Hotel was a absolute sewer, air conditioning did not work, no hot water, beds were uncomfortable, and the rooms smelled musty. The hotel also charged me a $100 deposit which they did not refund, I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. When I called to inquire about the refund the person I spoke with was extremely rude and told me My bank was lying to me -- they were actually accusing Mastercard of trying to steal $100 from me ......... If you dont want to stay in a filthy stinky hotel that is going to scam you ....... STAY ELSEWHERE >>>> THIS PLACE IS BOTTOM OF THE BARREL
I stayed 3 nights there. Had a very good experience. The night was comfortable and calm. The area is so serene. The guy at the front namely Mac was helpful and gentle. would have given 5 stars but this time 4 only.

Brandon was an absolute delight, was visiting on business and he was professional, attentive and even apologized for a slight delay on getting to me via phone. Exceptional young man who I belive will go far!Only issue I had was the soap holder in my shower was broken. Other than that 100% awesome stay!

Stay was absolutely horrendous. It began as we arrived from an overnight flight around 12pm.. we were told by the manager (who denied she was the manager) that we would have to wait the 3 hours or pay $50 extra to check in early. The hotel was empty apart from maybe 5 cars... The hotel looks like day 4 of a crime scene. They do not offer breakfast at all, but refer you to an empty restaurant on the side of the desk. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The halls are dingy, the hotel room is dingy and worn... Not the cleanest. What was most off putting was that the manager was very rude and then denied being the manager. She didnt let her night staff in on her story, because they referred me to her, the manager. Samantha is her name, and hospitality is NOT her game. Find somewhere else... Not at all worth it.
While the room was clean and the bed Comfortable, The hot water was marginal and the room had no water cups and couldnt provide any at the desk. Staff was pleasant. Wifi worked fine.

Negative: 2 of the staff were not very hospitable. Someone was smoking in the hall outside our room and the smell came into our room. There was a large gap under the door. Large enough that the light in the hall was visible in our room with the door closed.
Nice room but could use a bit of updating- no breakfast offered (even to go) and we saw signs for pool but none listed online - but overall a decent stay!

Positive: The lady behind the desk in the morning of my checkout was awesome Negative: My toilet leaked all night after maintenance came and fixed it. I went early in the morning to let the desk know and the man said I will let maintenance know when they come in. I have a disabled daughter and it was just a nightmare
Negative: The front desk staff was not knowledgeable about the check-in procedure. Also I was told that the $100 security deposit they took would be returned when I check out YET when I called two days later I was told it takes 10 to 12 days to return it!
Hrrible i wouldnt let a homeless person stay at this hotel water from tub and sink was yellow. Lady at the counter was horrible. Service was horrible. No ice machines. No water machines. Doors that should have stayed locked were broken so you could enter with out swiping a card. NO HOT Water for four days there luke warm would be an overstatement.
Ive been here for under an hour and I feel more dread and despair than Amber Heards brand new bed sheets. At least the wifi works.

All I can say is ouch! Read all the other reviews and choose carefully. I feel like I stayed at a prison compound with no amenities! Just a disgusting place. I stayed here back in the day and it was a nice! This place should be closed until it lives up to the expectations of what someone should expect. The soap is in a motel 6 package! On the way out they were police officers that came in asking to look at the video tapes! I wonder what goes on at this place a regular basis! Run don’t walk from this place!
The outside pretty much shows you what your walking into. Doors that are supposed to be locked aren’t, random furniture and trash litters the location. Now to the room portion of the review. My blankets had cigarette burns straight through them, the walls had holes. The walls were pretty much fallen apart, the bed wasn’t terrible. The bathroom was missing the roof over sink and toilet area. The TV is small. AC/heating is hit or miss on when it works. The doors you had to slam them to fully close. The hallways smelt of smoke, a lot of smoke. Quick food locations are across the street and your right next to the airport that’s really the only good thing to say.

If I could give this Hotel 0 stars I would. This Hotel is behind gross. I have worked at a 2 star hotel and it was still better then this. The hotel had the worst smell possible. The hotels carpet was literally falling off. The toilet bowl and radiator had terrible stains. The products in the bathroom were also half used when I got in. I also saw multiple bugs in the hotel. When Speaking to the front desk about my concerns they were so rude and unprofessional. The front desk also Charged $20 for a change of room. Coming from a previous front desk worker I NEVER heard of such a thing. I wish I had more pictures of how disgusting it was.

Never again....will I stay at the Clarion. We were traveling to see family and had our son with us. The smell of the hotel and rooms were horrible. The price was definitely not worth it. With it being 4th of July weekend we had no choice. The first day, the rooms werent even touched, no towel replacement, no bed cleaning. The bathroom had no ventilation, very small. I had a cruise bathroom bigger than this. The beds were very uncomfortable. The back door claimed to need a key card to enter, it was never ever secured, you can walk right in. I had to call to ask the room service to come do their job, no we apologize, NOTHING. I give them a portion of a star, because the lady at the front desk was very kind. How are you an airport hotel and trash. Keep your family home, do not go here.
You can tell this place was real nice at one time. .......now its more like an old wound thats just healed over. My room was O.K. at best but the key card didnt work and I didnt even need it to enter my room. I had to put the lock on the door to ensure no one could just walk in while I slept, if I was paying for the room instead of my company I would have made a huge fuss over that. I recommend to my company that we avoid future business with them. The only bright spot was the parking which was perfect for truckers but overall not worth it.

Safety wise I would not recommend this hotel the side door said it is locked 24 hours and its not. I could easily pull the door to enter the hotel. Also the second door the glass was cracked which made me feel uneasy with my two children. The heater also did not work which means myself, wife and children were freezing all night. So bring extra blankets and dont try and call the front desk phone doesnt work either.
The staff was extremely nice, but the place is way outdated. The restaurant is of course closed. The fitness room was a complete disaster with equipment that is outdated. No sanitation wipes in it and the TV didnt work. The room was decent, but it was eerily vacant. The washer and dryers are also way outdated and dirty.

Needs a lot of work any hotel that has problem with hot water and has rooms that smell bad should renovate that hotel as soon as possible. It was not worth the amount that was charged. Also the entrance and reception area, as well as the hall ways and common areas, were worn out, dingy, dirty and creepy looking.
Very large but unorganized hotel. Older building for sure and it shows when you get to your room. Other wise very clean and professional staffMajor issue for my was how uncomfortable the sofa bed was. I had problems when I first checked in to the hotel no Television Remote , no working phone, shower was not working properly. Subsequently I was given another room and all was well to the last day where the Air conditioner seemed to not be working as well.. Overall I rate my experience as average. I would give this place a mulligan/ another chance as the value was reasonable.
I made the worst decision to book a room online, the hotel is very old and outdated. They have nice staff but other than that my room was not good. The bathroom ceiling was in bad condition and the parking lot has a lot of litter. The curtain was falling and see through. The carpet was old and dirty and one of the staff tried to get into my room several times.
If I could give this hotel negative stars I would…in one word it was a DUMP!!! The entire hotel smells like a combination of mildew and urine…the hallways have chipped paint, the doors are gross, and the carpet was filthy…the room was just as gross…bathroom had no ventilation and mildew on the ceiling…the place is so outdated…I had four people in my room they gave me two sets of towels…when I asked for more towels-two times mind you- they said they didn’t have any…the door by my room that lead to the outside was busted so anyone could just walk in…I was up all night…I paid $138 to stay there and if I was not desperate I would have left but we had to stay…and we had a group of 15 other rooms that were also staying there and one room was worse than the other…they had a lot of nerve charging us what they did and wouldn’t give a group rate…DO NOT STAY HERE EVER!!!

Horrible hotel. Do not even bother to stay there! Room was dirty. Shower water was either so cold or it has very little water coming out. I was washing clothes at their laundry place which the hotel has, the employee was washing their own clothes in there also. Isnt the laundry is for customer wash??? Also, the room had no fridge and no microwave! Paid like $500 for the weekend, not worth of staying here for that type of money.
The hotel was conveniently located for our visit. The staff we spoke with were pleasant. The bed was comfortable. The security door for our building was unlocked. The parking lot was being used as a hangout. We would not recommend this hotel and will not stay there again in the future.

WOW..the place really has run down. I havent stayed there in many years. Needs a serious over haul across the board. Having said that... Desk staff very polite and courteous. Over all pretty clean and seems safe. If your just passing through or waiting on a flight out its fine for an overnight. I probably would not use for an extended stay. Overall not the worst my wife and I have stayed at. But, not the best for the price. I strongly recommend the comfort inn in Medford. Stay there often and their the very best. Little more pricy but well worth it.

My daughters window was secured with a stick there no clean glasses there were no garbage bags and the trash cans theres nothing good to say about this facility absolutely nothing it reminded us of a prison scene in a movie. The fact that nobody fell on the bunched up carpeting that should have been laying flat and when I say carpeting I mean this wall to wall ugliness is an amazing feat.I didnt do my homework I should have realized from the other reviews that this place was not meant to be stayed in by a normal family or business person. I was in town for a funeral. I chose this hotel for the proximity to the airport and the airport shuttle. I included my flight info in my reservation, when I landed, I called to figure out where to go to meet the shuttle and was given a hard time about being picked up before the room was ready. As though I have any control over flight schedules. I planned on using the shuttle as the first/last mile for the journey. Eventually, they picked us up, and unexpectedly dropped us off at the rental car place up the road- which was appreciated. I’m in town for a funeral and I’m arguing about the shuttle they list as a service- either you offer it or you don’t, or you offer it at certain times and communicate those hours. I used Uber to get to the airport for my return flight, there are things not worth arguing about. There is no operational business center. I needed a bed most importantly and they provided that.
$200 a day because as they put it when a storm is here the rate doubles.VERY Bad Bed.Hot water, Heat, TV, Microwave and Fridge are all nominal.

I booked a room for an out of state wedding. Due to the impending hurricane, I called to cancel on the same day - less than their 24 hour window. We waited because we wanted to see if we could make it down. I asked for a refund and they denied me. It wasnt like I canceled for a bogus reason. My brother-in-law had a hotel in the area and got a full refund because of the hurricane.I would respond to the questions below but I didnt get close enough to see the rooms and the service I got on the phone will now lead me to NEVER use this hotel ever!
I would not recommend this hotel. I would not stay here again. Absolutely no amenities. Restaurant and bar closed. Only thing available is vending machines which do not chill the soda or water. Called the desk to ask about why there was no hot water and the first words out of the staff was would you like to check out. Staff was rude. I rather sleep in my vehicle then stay there .
The room is clean. The bed was very comfortable. Lots of pillows and nice sheets. The Hotel is huge, it feels like youre in maze. It was very confusing to find where the front desk was or exactly where you parked your car in the back. The noise outside of your room is annoying. People smoke and walk outside all day and night. People are in the hallways just making noise walking in and out of the rooms. No hot water in the shower, cold showers only. All and all not bad for the price. Big room refrigerator microwave & a nice bed. Only negative, people outside of your room making noise and confusing signs on how to navigate around the hotel.
So many issues right away. Wifi not working and no information on how it would be repaired, just that “management” was alerted. Light switch broken, phone not working, toilet very old and temperamental. A/C weak and the list on and on… Even the maintenance person agreed it is a crummy hotel. Not happy to spend money on this one evening. I would never come back or recommend to anyone else.
By far the most disgusting hotel and staff. Our room had a broken shower head, remote that didn’t work, bugs everywhere and no telephone to get in touch with the front desk. We complained and was told at first rooms were available than they lied saying they don’t anymore because of our complaint.At this point we filed with corporate and it’s being escalated. I highly recommend NOT to book with this hotel. The Indian lady at the front desk, shame on you and to the guy we spoke to on the phone who refused to tell me his name because he knew I would call him out, shame on you. This is not how you treat your customers.
Called at 11pm because our floors got stained and we couldn’t sleep home. They said they had rooms available for $157. We said we will be there shortly. Got there 20 mins later and they wanted to charge us $300 plus tax because we didn’t make a “reservation”. I stated over the phone you told me $157 and he said sorry you needed to make a reservation for that price. I said that’s why I was calling before I came here. Refused to give us the $157 and wanted to charge us double for a below mediocre hotel room. Take your business elsewhere

We are so happy with with our stay at Clarion. Our stay was totally Safe. We got it in very good & reasonable price which are way below then our expectation. Hotel staff are very cooperative & decent. Services at all area like front desk, housekeeping, room services are very good. Overall experience is safe, happy & memorable.
Inside the room was ok, but I thought the place was a dump overall. 3 times during my stay the key card stopped working. And housekeeping didnt empty my garbage, let alone do anything else in my room for 5 days.
Overall stay was ok. But the hallways smelled like smoke. Was showed on a map where my room was which was like a maze too get to. Want informed about the outside doors that were closer to my room(figured that on my own)
Truly a disgusting place. I had to stay in the area for work for one night. The first room they gave me had a broken ac system, and the lights didn’t work. The gave me a second room that had roaches crawling on the walls when I walked in. In the parking lot another couple told me about the bugs in their room. Finally I was checked into a room that seemed somewhat clean, I was just happy or have a bed to sleep in for the night. The front desk was nice and apologetic, but the place was clearly understaffed and in need of desperate repairs and cleaning. Would avoid in the future.

If I could give it a zero star I would ...the first night I stayed there I woke up to my room flooded with toilet water all the way into the bedroom ....then they took forever to come change my room... almost a half an hour for someone to come they changed our room ..the room the switch us too the key wouldn’t work ....the second room I kept getting shocked with my key every time I went in my room. So obviously they have electricity issue..So they change it again didn’t even apologize I didn’t say anything like at all they don’t make iContact and then to the maid when she comes to clean the room she knocks twice and then enters like we’re in a nursing home like no you have to let someone answer and she just walks into your room no privacy at all like that place is unsafe the back door doesn’t lock so it’s like open at all types of night like someone had a gas taken from their car like the place is just run down like it was my fault for not doing more of my research but I would not recommend this place to ANYONE!!! the truck drivers don’t even stay there..they sleep in their cars that’s another thing I notice that’s how bad it is that they use it for a rest stop. Definitely calling the health department on this place. Oh n before anyone say “why didn’t u just leave?” I already booked it online and if I was to get a refund it will take 3 to 5 business days for me to get the money back ...plus I booked a room for three days so that means I would have to book another three days waste money more that I really didn’t have....so I had no choice but to stay there
Beware of staying here! The Guest service lady made my partner & I sit for a whole hour so that she could personally check the room before giving my deposit back! First, she did not ask any persons before me checking in for a deposit. Secondly, it should never take an hour for my deposit to be issued back to me! When I asked her why we were waiting so long when others had checked out after us and left before us. She laughed and said they have not checked your room yet. We checked out at 11:30am and did not leave the establishment it was half past 12.
The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The mattress was old and sagging, I felt the springs digging into my back all night. I woke with muscle pain throughout my back.There was a large bug crawling on the bathroom floor.The receptionist who checked me in apparently didnt do it correctly because someone else was assigned my room at 1:30 AM and I was woken by them trying to get in. Luckily I had done the bolt. I thought maybe it was just a drunk guy with the wrong room, but in the morning when I went to check out, they couldnt find me under my assigned room number and had to spend 5 minutes trying to find my check in paper work.
Never activated my key I had to go back to the desk to have them do it. Instead of being accommodating they told me I was doing it wrong. My shower won’t work and the toilet won’t flush. I called the desk they are sending maintenance down. I asked if I can move rooms they won’t move me until they come see it. As I was asking what they can do for me the lady hung up on me. Not happy won’t be staying here again.
Convenient location is the best reason to stay here. Hotel is clean. No food at hotel, you have to sprint across highway or use food delivery. I was lucky, I have family locally. This hotel needs a facelift, I remember the same carpet from my prior stays when this was the Holiday Inn. Desk staff is helpful and knowledgeable of local transportation.
PEOPLE BEWARE!!!In addition to the lack of hot water, a non working phone in the room and very dim lighting throughout the building, the main issue that we had with building C Room 250 was that there was no lock or closure to the rooms window. The former lock had been previously broken and the room was lacking a screen for said deteriorated window. After notifying front desk (Felix) about this startling finding, he told us that maintenance could not fix anything until the morning. As we were only staying the night, we did not feel safe for we were all women and it was close to 1:00 in the morning. The agent offered another room, but this was after we requested a refund, for we decided to go elsewhere. Upon speaking with the General Manager Samantha and made her aware of the situation, she too thought a broken lock window in the room was not bad and she said she was not going to assist. If there was an option for 0 stars, that would be selected. WILL NEVER RETURN!
The staff is extremely nice. Some rooms smelled of cigarette smoke despite the No Smoking policy. After changing rooms, I found the bathroom extremely clean and the rest of the room clean. Bed very comfortable. Very quiet room as requested.Overall, this hotel needs to be demolished and rebuilt. Too much competition in the area to stay at this hotel. It is EXTREMELY dated and has an old smell to it. Despite the bathroom being super clean, it smelled of body odor which did not dissipate with the ceiling fan and the door being left open.
This hotel is trying to refresh itself after years of neglect. Hopefully given enough time they will get there. Dont expect too much here.

This hotel is horrible! From the lobby with worn, dirty and buckled carpeting, worn and stained furniture, and peeling wallpaper,surly and extremely rude staff, to the rooms with cobwebs, broken beds, air conditioners that dont work, and general shabbiness and uncleanliness, you would be well served to stay somewhere else.
The worse place I have ever stayed. Very dirty room. As if it was never cleaned. There were no towels and face cloths in the room. There is no inside entry to walk back to front of building. You will have to walk outside and around the building to get back to the front. The telephone was inoperable. Staff was not helpful at all.

I do not recommend staying here please avoid if possible. The hotel is old not clean. The room I stayed in was not clean. I found a used insulin needle in the bathroom. The room had a musty smell. The shower does not get hot.
My fiancé and I stayed at Clarion for one night this past weekend because we were traveling, and it wasn’t great.The room was okay, clean bathroom and bed, but there were bugs around the air conditioning unit and near the closet.The real kicker for us was the deposit on the room. I’ve never been to a cheap hotel like this with a $100 security deposit. But fine, we agreed because all the hotels we’ve stayed in previously had pending security deposit charges that dropped and never went through. The charge for this room went through and decimated our account. And trying to get help offered me nothing. I have to wait 3-5 business days just to see if they’ll give it back. And then the woman helping me said that for next time, most people just leave a cash deposit so they just give it back to them when they check out. Yes, extremely helpful to know now that they already took our money that we needed for other things.Overall, if the security deposit had just been returned to our account, it would have been a “meh” experience. But their poor handling of supposedly valued customer’s money has me never wanting to check in to this hotel again.
Stayed at the Clarion hotel for a few days for work. Its an older hotel that could use renovations. The bed was comfortable. The carpeting definitely needs to be replaced (wear your socks or some sort of foot wear). My job made the reservation on my behalf. I personally wouldnt rent here. The exterior security doors arent secured so anyone can walk in without a key card. The staff was nice and friendly. I would only stay here again as a last resort.
I Loved the Location - had stayed at the same hotel a year ago. This year’s visit was a Huge Disappointment. I had NO Cell service or Internet service in my room. The ice machine on my floor did NOT work, the shower was leaking and the toilet at times would run.....
The best deal on Long Island for your budget. Clean, great location, close to ISP Airport and restaurants. ample parking and safe.

The owners of this establishment are completely rude. Not only did they yell at everyone constantly. They through out my passport when I dropped it in the lobby, knowing that I was still staying there and they also charged me a late checkout fee on top of me booking an additional night. When I asked to speak to someone, they said that there was nothing I can do about it because I they were a franchise and the owners. The decor and facility is way out of date. Some rooms have refrigerators and others do not. They had a microwave, but did not have not one plate to warm anything up on in the entire facility.

Loved everything about my stay. As always, the entire staff, especially Sri at the front desk, are wonderful and go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied. One example, one morning the toilet in my room flushed but the tank would not fill back up with water. I told Sri about it an went and had my free breakfast. I returned to my room about a half hour later and the toilet was already fixed. Thats service!! I can not stress enough how clean and comfortable the rooms are. How wonderful the cleaning and maintenance staff are. And once again, how friendly and helpful Sri and the entire front desk staff are. Another great stay!
Comfortable bed easy to get to from the high . Security to enter the hotel needs to be more secured with doors being locked. Did not know that I need to leave a $100 deposit was not notified when booking the hotel and the hotel seems to be out dated and the hallways smelt like cigarettes. Due to those reason we checked out and stayed at another hotel.

Four years ago my son got married and stayed there with his groomsmen and father. It was very nice there. So I thought it would be a good place to stay.My friend and I stayed there the past 3 days, and I was more than disappointed. The staff was rude and unfriendly. I was given a hard time trying to replace a key card, the window had a stick in it to secure it. They were not helpful at all. They acted like they were doing us a favor by staying there. I will never come here again.
Where to start? From rude and uncaring front desk staff, to the advertised pool, fitness center and restaurant all being closed, to the missing ceiling panels, peeling walls and shower that literally screamed at you, it was all bad. It also had broken AC, blood stains on bedding, electric sockets that not only spark, but actively arc, security doors that failed to lock at all, drug dealers in the rear parking lot, and perpetually damp carpets that smelled of mildew and cat pee. Oh and the caked-on mystery substance on the built-in hair dryer...that was the cherry on the poo-flavored sundae. Never again.

Paid full price to stay in a wing that was dilapidated and undergoing repairs. Water damaged ceilings and walls. Cockroaches in room. Overflowing rubbish bins outside side doors. Two stars because staff we very friendly.
If I could give this place a negative rating I would. They should be embarrassed with the way the keep this hotel. Dirty clothes and shoes left in the hallways. Open Luggage left out in the parking lot. Mold in the vents of the room, exposed electrical wires, plaster falling off the walls in the rooms. It’s disturbing even after showing the front desk pictures they still denied there was anything wrong. After several attempts of trying to rectify the situation they threatened to kick us out and wouldnt give us our money back. This place is absolutely disgusting. The health department will be notified, especially in times like now. STAY AWAY!!!

Front desk service is horrible. Had an issue getting my security deposit released. My bank states that the deposit has not been released and asks for a letter stating the release of deposit. Called the front desk and the gentleman at the front desk was far from helpful and states that we dont write emails of letters, its your banks problem. Theres nothing I will do I would recommend any hotel in the area over this Clarion. We reached out to the Clarion franchise to make them aware of the poor service they have in the ronkonkoma location
Very dirty people, they try to make like their hotel or some kind of first class rate operation in reality its the third world country hotel. Very noisy extremely dirty bathrooms bedding definitely had some kind of substance on them. Ice machine was absolutely disgusting you could catch something from staying at this hotel. Do not go to this place. The rooms are not great. Overpriced as well. We was charged an $100 for a holding fee that was supposed to be returned when we checked out and never received it. When we called a week later we was told that they would check on it and give us a call back. Never received a call and every time we call they say the same thing. We believe the clerk made up the fee and pocketed the money. Terrible place. Stay away....
Easy access to McArthur Airport. Clean, though dated, facility. The staff are warm, welcoming and professional. The decor could use updating, but the value is in the price. Bed was very comfortable.

Staff were all super friendly and made the extra effort to accommodate. Wonderful people. Nice pool area. They made the effort to have things to do if you were there like karaoke & happy hour. Beds & linens were very comfortable, shower worked well. The rooms are a little dated but quiet and functional.

The Clarion Hotel is in desperate need of renovations and cleaning. The location is good but the company is not maintaining their property. Not sure if the company is in hard times but it could be a great place if effort and funds were put in.
The Clarion in Medford, N.Y. is dated and not very secure. Several entry points to the hotel didnt have latches nor locks. The desk chair was broken, as well as the sofa back in the room to which I was assigned. I was disrespected and challenged by a hotel employee. I really wondered what was truly at the root of this negative and totally unnecessary encounter......??I was very annoyed and disgusted with this my stay. I would not recommend this hotel!
The room had a very dirty feel to it. House keeping only cleaned the room 2 or 3 times during a 2 week stay. The air conditioner only blew warm air and I called the front desk 5 days in a row to complain. They said maintenance would come check it but never did. I requested a new room and they refused to give me a room until maintenance looked at it. On the 5th day maintenance came and replaced the entire AC unit. The front desk staff was rude except 1 guy. Felix! He was the only one that put any effort into fixing the situations. Worst hotel stay ever!! Will never stay at this location again!!

I was met by a very friendly associate, the room was very clean and spacious. I had an early flight and this hotel was very close, so it was easier to stay, rather than rely on a ride or taxi. The hotel offers a free shuttle service, which took all of 5 minutes, easy peasy.
Horrible motel disguised as a 3 star hotel. Rooms outdated and dirty, phone and ac where broken, shower drain broken. Internet was basically useless the entire week I was there, kept going down for hours on end. Its been over a week and I am still waiting on the return of my deposit.

The Clarion staff is excellent. They are always friendly and I feel valued as a customer. The hotel is in a great location next to the airport and is fine for the price paid. Overall it feels like it is stuck in the 1990s. The entire hotel feels dark and it could definitely use new lighting and a brightening up. A complete remodel is needed at some point. The beds are comfortable and the room was clean. If you are just looking for a comfortable place to lay your head this may be it.

Breakfast was good. Room was large. Shower sprayed over the shower curtain wetting all towels and my clothes. Water was barely above warm. Room was by the exit and you could hear slamming of the door all night. Room above us were loud all night. Room was hot couldnt get the heat to turn down. Had to walk from the back of hotel down cold hallways to front for breakfast. I wont stay here again. Dont recommend this place.
The hotel is not in good shape. Every area in the hotel was in a poor unworkable state. Dirty, old material. Photo copy of my drivers license was completed claiming it was required in New York. As an airline employee and staying at many hotels in long Island that is not true.
To their credit, the reasonably friendly staff did deal with problems in a timely way as they arose. But ...Room had not been cleaned when we entered it, and we had to change rooms (near midnight).It took calls to three different areas to get room service. When it arrived, there were no utensils, and when the kitchen was out of bacon they didn’t tell us, just substituted sausage. The food itself was fairly mediocre, too.All in all, the room was decent and the staff doing their best, but overall the hotel seemed pretty disorganized.

This was the worst hotel I ever stayed at. Roach on wall as soon as we entered the room. Dirty sheets that took two hours to change. No restaurant or pool like I was told the night before I checked in. Cold shower no cable channels. Smelled like smoke and mildo. Drug addicts in parking lot. I called the police on all the drug activity. No one at the front desk would give me there name or the general managers name. Refused a refund. It was disgusting. I will also be calling board of health today on them.

All these positive reviews are fake don’t believe them (done by a fake review company) the hotel rooms are horrendous and front desk staff is a huge problem for everyone and harasses anybody that is staying there including myself and 2 groups of people that were in line to check in ahead of me. Stay was so awful that we did not even spend the entire night we checked out and went to another hotel down the block. I will not be back here.

Very bare bones hotel. Has a decent breakfast. Reminds me of staying in a dorm more than a hotel. The hallways smell and they could use a fresh paint on the walls and new carpeting. The rooms are located on the other side of the lobby past the restaurant which isnt clear. Better to park in the back as this is closer to the rooms.

My go to hotel when I want a clean, comfortable room along with great service. As always, Sre at the front desk has a smile and makes you feel welcome. She is the main reason I keep coming back! The rooms are clean and comfortable and the beds make sleeping easy! Housekeeping is top notch as well. An all around great place to stay!

The reviews on other sites were alarming but we found this hotel to be perfectly adequate for a Clarion.Anyone familiar with the Choice portfolio knows what to expect from a Clarion, a dated budget hotel that’s seen better days but isn’t really offensive either. It was clean and the location was good. Front desk staff was great.
Wish I could give zero stars… the hotel room was disgusting:- Ants crawling around the bathroom- The toilet was cracking and dirty- There’s a giant grate in the ceiling with pipes and wire hanging over the sink- All of the air vents were filled with dust and clumps of dirt causing us to wake to sore throats- Our socks were damp after walking on the carpet- Beds are very lopsided- Furniture is stained with bodily fluidsI could continue, but PLEASE do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to stay.
I stayed here for my sons Grandmothers funeral. It was a difficult time, but the staff was very sweet and accommodating, and always helpful. Especially the front desk staff, they always did everything they could to help me with anything I needed and answered all the random questions my husband threw at them. The only exception is the bartender in the restaurant, as she is extremely rude and the food is not up to the standards of the rest of the hotel.

We only got to stay for a night due to my husbands work but the staff was extremely friendly provided tons of information very patient and understanding. The rooms were very clean and they are very serious about the rooms being clean
The desk attendant was beyond helpful. He was cordial and empathetic to my travel story.The room was clean, but the air was stagnant . The mustiness never seemed to dissipate. The radiator needed to be bled as you could hear the air bubbles in the line over night. The shower had amazing water pressure. It was definitely the highlight of my stay.Checkout was a breeze.
This is a tired, unkept hotel. Staff were nice enough but the upkeep of the facility is very poor. Also known for some sketchy late night activities according to locals. Find another.
Hotel needs total upgrade. Needs to do away with charge for breakfast on weekends. Breakfast needs to be improved. Not up tp other Choice Hotel we have stayed at. We are booked into the Comfort Inn & Suites in Schenectady, NY next June for daughters wedding. Hoping for a Much Better Experience!!
My stay was from Sunday till Friday. Complete garbage service. Zero customer care/service. Cleaning staff took my DO NOT DISTURB sign off the door. Wouldnt stop knocking and asked me to leave. When I tried explain my duration-she didnt speak English. Then walked away w/ the sign.Missing bulbs in the room. Even at check the desk clerk verified 5 day stay but programmed the room key for 1 night.I couldnt even take fruit back to the room. I tried to explain i worked overnight and by the time I would be ready they will close breakfast. The associates at the desk said the restaurant is separate from the hotel. 😡😡

This hotel is in a great location. Clean and comfortable room, extremely friendly and helpful staff, bar and restaurant are on site. Breakfast is not included but it is an excellent buffet spread, well worth the less than $10 for fresh scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes along with the standard continental offerings. They also have a free shuttle to the airport, very convenient!
Overpriced generally but they offer a military discount. The did not convey a sense of pleasantry, excitement, happy to have you attitude. Things generally looked run down and unexciting.
The hotel itself seems old, the hallways have a bit of a damp smell but the rooms were clean and the event was fantastic. The food was actually exceptional and it was served on time. I want to note that this is first time Ive ever stayed in that put four full sets of towels and washcloths in the room instead of two. We had four people and didnt have to ask for extra. Also wanted to note how friendly the staff was. Very professional, very helpful. Both ice machines in our wing were broken, had to go to the bar to get ice. Very nice single night stay.
Overall, the staff is friendly and professional. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was in need of a serious update. The paint job in both the bathroom and the bedroom was depressing. I was comfortable, but this hotel wouldn’t be at the top of my list, if I were in the market for a hotel stay in the same area. You get what you pay for.
As soon as my family and I stepped into the hotel, there was a women arguing, which is already a sign that this hotel wasn’t that good. When we went to check in, they said your reservation was “cancelled.” We we’re staying for a tournament far away from home and we needed to stay at a hotel. The front desk said that we didn’t sign a group contract. If that was the case, why didn’t they call letting me know that I had to sign something? However, other girls on the team got into their rooms just fine. To find out later, the room next to ours had ants in it. Along with everything, the stairs were musty and the doors that said were locked 24 hours, were indeed unlocked. The worst part is, anyone can come inside if they go through the side doors of the hotel. One positive sign is that the breakfast is better than I expected and I would go eat there again. Would not recommend.
Omg. I had to stay there for a week. First of all they charged me a $250 smoking fee and we dont smoke. As we can tell the walls and smoke alarm were yellow obviously from nicotine stains. The front desk manager Samantha does not speak English well, is very unprofessional and very nasty. She has no people skills what so ever. They are renovating the hotel so theres hammering ans sawing 24/7.The breakfast buffet is not free although it is advertised as free. The staff I believe live on the premises. They really need to get new management there. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE !! PLEASE DONT BOOK THERE. Theres many hotels within a 2 mile radius that are cheaper and nicer.
Miserable! They advertise a smoke free property. Would be nice if they told the guests that were smoking marijuana all night. Smell was so powerful it was out in the hall and permeated in to my room. And, another false advertisement was air conditioning. My room was 75 all night and the relic of a unit ran all night wuth no change. Would not even give them 1 star. Guess you get what you pay for
The price for the hotel is reasonable but obviously you know the old saying “you get what you pay for” which is why the hotel itself is eh, it’s ok..it’s an old hotel it doesn’t look new at all. The rooms are very bland..if you’re looking to just get a place to sleep in and not be in the hotel a lot then it’s recommended, however, if you’re those people that are particular in your hotels, may want to try another place

This was my second time staying at this property. This is an older property that was recently renovated. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit. The people who run the place are great, the rooms are clean, and parking as free. I didnt try the restaurant but as an added bonus, there is an Applebees within walking distance of the hotel. I will definitely be staying here again.
Positive: Motel style and ran down Negative: Needs to be updated this is turning into a fien motel. Cops arrested a lady the locked door to get in wasnt locked. Needs TLC all around
I give this hotel two stars because the room was clean and comfortable. I also give it two stars because they charged me a $100 deposit at check-in. I assumed I would receive my deposit upon check-out like other hotels, but no, 5-7 business days. Ive never heard of such a practice by a hotel and it was extremely inconvenient. I ended up spending over an hour and a half on two separate phone calls with Clarion and my bank attempting to track down this money. For this reason, I will never stay at this or any other Clarion Hotel ever again. If you are forced to stay in this hotel because its near the airport or some similar reason, ask about when you will have your deposit returned to you.
I have stayed at a great deal of hotels in the past 40 years, yes it is a little dated, but it is clean. The staff is wonderful, I asked (politely) if I could get a frig and microwave oven, they were more than accommodating to do so. Breakfast is complimentary Monday through Thursday, and descent. My hat is off for everyone who works here to make everyones stay as pleasant as possible. Thank you
Would make it your last resort for the exception of brickyard bar an grill highly recommend them an the food but for the clarion there is only one front desk staff that remotely service friendly which I commend then as for the rest of my stay not so much leaking walls soaked floor mildew smell all.thru the halls! When u say anything about any issues its brushed off like its nothing they just put loud fans in the hallways trying to dry the carpet... very poor management an ownership!!!

A dated hotel that has several hotel entry doors without locks and or latches. The desk chair in my room was broken along with springs in the sofa back. Most of the staff was courteous except for one ignorant, napoleon complex inflicted individual. He was named Harry or Louie, noone would tell me??He insulted me and was very offensive! As a choice diamond member whom has been too MANY choice hotels within the family. This os a no go!
Good sized room, nice layout. Clean and warm, but not too warm. Breakfast was average, except for the extra touch of fresh fruit, (melons). I like fresh fruit. The bar had friendly bartenders and very good wings.

2022-05-31This place is a dump. Stayed here for a wedding and people at the front desk wouldnt let my friends up to my room. Made me come down and get them. One friend was even asked in the hall if he was a guest and what his room number was. Never been in a hotel where they have hall monitors. Common areas were not air conditioned and it was plenty warm outside. The bathrooms in the lobby obviously hadnt been cleaned in a very long time. Someone urinated in one of the stairwells and that wasnt cleaned in the 3 days I was there. The ice machines didnt work. Most snack machines were empty and the ones that did have anything in them the product was old or unusable. For example, there was only an ice cream machine and a soda machine close to my room. Bought an ice cream that had obviously melted and refrozen and the seal ring on the soda had already been broken. Water pressure in the showers was terrible. Ive literally been spit on harder. No breakfast in the lobby. Stayed Memorial day weekend and the pool had no water in it. There was a pizza box that sat on top of a trash can outside my room for the entire 3 days I was there. Overpriced and literally no amenities. Pure garbage. I WILL be contacting their corporate office and asking for some money back.

2022-06-18This place is glorified motel. The outside is not bad but inside needs alot of work. As you enter the lobby is equipped with dirty furniture, too many instructions as to what you shouldnt do like seat or stand in the lobby. A section of the lobby seating area is closed so you have to stand to wait for your transportation. The carpet is nasty throughout the hallway. Poor customer service. Inside the room was not bad it was clean and spacious but the AC didnt work. We were so exhausted from our travel we didnt even care to complain. The shower had buildup dirt when we opened it but cleared up quickly. The only reason we stayed here was because American Airlines booked us here after a canceled flight not to mention it is 1 hr away from JFK. I definitely wouldnt recommend it unless you are desperate for a night.

2022-06-10We had no choice placed here my Delta airlines. The place is dated a fantastic building for urban explorers and the hallways great for a horror movies. The place needs deep cleaning particularly the carpets. BTW no service to keep luggage after checkout. The most impressive aspect is the key card holder made from scrap paper

2022-03-15Not a bad place to lay your head down. Friendly clerks. The outside of the hotel is adequate and the hallways are lit better than some brand x hotels. The carpet in the halls was clean. The room and the chairs were clean and the carpet was clean. I would stay here again.

2022-01-30The outside of the building looked horrible, but the lobby looked like they tried to make an effort to look presentable with some artwork on the walls. The room was not dirty, but dingy and very old. The bathroom was tiny with a yellowing shower curtain. Right outside the bathroom was a closet on one side and decent size fridge and microwave that was lopsided, the button for the door stayed stuck in when you pressed it and you had to physically move it to the edge of the counter to plug it in. I was surprised to see drinking glasses made of real glass and ceramic mugs by the mini coffee machine. They did offer a flat screen TV and HBO, but no USB ports. The door had a chain on the inside and the regular turn lock did not work. Another inconvenience was if you needed to go to the front desk, you had to go outside and walk/drive to the front to get to it, Im pretty sure you could not access it from any hallways which were set up strangely as well. They also did not offer any breakfast and noticed that whole area was dark and stacked with boxes. There was a restaurant that looked okay, but I did not eat there, so it would not be fair to comment. I would not recommend this hotel, especially since there are much better ones in the area that I have stayed at very close by that are almost the same price or slightly higher that are a lot better quality and look more presentable.

2022-07-052 days in advance, i asked if there was a pool but didnt think to ask if pool had water in it, very disappointed children on a holiday weekend. Lobby is dated with hazardous carpet bumps /seams theoughout building; it was so hot i could barely breathe. Warning to families, elderly, disabled, and asthamatics. Clerks dont communicate well but arent rude except wouldnt allow us to use elevator. Problem isnt sanitation nor customer service; its just such an old building without attention to inexpensive details. Lobby microwave is small and low watt. Fitness room decent just really old, missing most hand weights, & no signal on tv. Vending machines everywhere. I was scared to see room, but that part was actually good, fresh, clean, cooled off, everything works. Room had all of basics. Bed was very comfortable. Dual usb chargers on nighttable was a plus! Had to ask for clean towels on day 2, but they were quick and courteous in response. The interior courtyard is well landscaped, enjoyed morning strole, despite view of several decommissioned rooms full of storage. Its an odd place, not worth paying extra for, but you wont die or get bedbugs. No att signal, very weak wifi. First appearance 0 stars, but room is solid 3. Would only return in emergency. Im confused why they charge what other budget hotels in area charge, bc dropping even $40/night would tell people theyre lowER budget and prevent so much disappointment. Lower rate wold probably improve public ratings too.

2022-05-11Very overpriced, does not offer anything more than a motel but charges the price of a hotel. They didnt take my deposit until many days later which was very confusing and hard to handle/expect financially for me especially since they say it will be 10-12 business days before the refund hits. The lady at front desk was rude, but thats okay we all have bad days... but she also forgot to add my room to the key card so i walked all the way around hotel with a bunch of heavy stuff for the key not to work then had to walk back and forth again getting the new card. I wouldnt stay again, just too expensive when you could get exact same thing at the crappy motel down the road for no deposit that will screw your whole week up and $30 less/night.

2022-07-05What a dump ! This hotel reeks of cigarette smoke, same with the room. No free coffee, everything is directed to the restaurant which is overpriced. I ordered a salad which they got wrong. When I complained on the one hand they offered to replace the salad and on the other they told me that they were missing many ingredients so that they couldn’t give me what I ordered! The website advertises a pool, but the pool has no water so no swimming. I felt the place was run down and didn’t measure up to the Clarion Hotel standard. It goes without saying I would never stay here again it was so disappointing.

2022-06-30Location is great. Close to everything. Applebees across the road for example.Rooms were not good at all. The bed is clean and was okay, but the bedroom floor had obviously old blood stains on the floor (I work healthcare, its easy to recognize). Same with the hallways. Blood and vomit stains.All of the doors to the buildings say they are locked and to use key cards but all the locks are broken, some quite obviously with the doors hanging ajar. I tested multiple doors in my late night walk, and you could easily get into any part of the separated hotel buildings without any trouble, just open the door. Not safe at all.On the plus side, my truck wasnt stolen in the morning and I slept good...so thats a win. Would not stay here ever again, but I was so exhausted yesterday I couldnt deal with finding somewhere else.

2022-05-15This hotel needs serious work not just cosmetic. This doesn’t look safe to me. Also the faucet in my room shoots water out of the handle about a foot tall when set to cold. The room it’s self had a peculiar smell. At nearly $275 for one night I expected the quality of at least a $150 room. Disappointing and probably won’t book there again
