Positive: Location Negative: Air conditioner was super loud. Did not have carpeting in the room making it very slippery for my disabled mother-in-law. Ants were all over the floor. Front staff would leave often and the front doors were locked. Breakfast was granola bars and fruit.
Positive: Location and friendly staff are great at this hotel. Negative: There were some design choices that caught my attention but were not deal breakers. Just a little different than Im used to at hotels. For instance, my room didnt have carpet. In a way I grew to appreciate no carpet, but a rug would have been nice.
I LOVE this hotel. Itβs small, quiet, CLEEEEAN, and the bed is so very comfortable. The decor is reductionist and the rooms are utilitarian and pretty spacious. We took a black light to the room (yes, weβre *those* weirdos) and there wasnβt a single spot anywhere. I mean this place is pristine. We were initially in town for an appointment but decided to stay another night because itβs so comfortable, the location is convenient, and the owner & staff are just lovely.
Positive: The pillows and bed was very comfortable. The room was larger than most Ive stayed in. Negative: When I arrived to check in the door was locked and everyones room keys were on a chair outside w/ names on them. VERY UNSAFE!! For a newly renovated hotel it was still outdated. For the price it was definitely not worth it. Will not stay here again.
Pretty much what I expected for a cut rate hotel. This place is the definition of sketchy. First for the good things:The gentleman at the front desk was courteous and quick when I checked in. I guess that was the only good thing. The room is small, and dated. The sink is outside of the bathroom, to your immediate left when entering. The bathroom is very small.I was in room 125 which, as you might guess, is on the first floor. And its a cement slab floor that has been painted with a pattern that I guess was trying to imitate a regular hotels carpet? I never went without something on my feet.Another decorative feature is the wall mural of a drawbridge behind the bed. Speaking of the bed, the pillows were small, maybe one foot square. The work desk paint was missing in spots and the office chair was blown out where the back meets the seat. The other clients of this hotel made me wonder what its main purpose is. I dont think its for tourists. I was travelling alone, however I would have been very worried if my girlfriend was with me. And I would never bring kids here.Last thing, I was driving in after dark and trying to find the entrance off from Monroe was difficult.
It reminded me The Paul hotel in the City (room redesign interior) both places would benefit from providing an extra blanket automatically in the room because the scorching heat during July/Aug you need AC on max but the covers are just too thin and light. But the design is modern and I love the concrete floors and tight doors, quiet π€« hot water machine in the lobby would be plus.
I always look for the new and different places when I travel, try to give them a chance. This was a nice surprise!! There was a lot of updating done in this building, noticeable immediately upon entry. Love what they did with the floors (so cool), and the bold wallpaper in the rooms.Pros:- Beautiful reception area- Friendly staff (and owner too!!)- Comfy bed- Good pillows- Cool interior design elements/details- Lots of snack options- Great locationCons:- Sink outside of bathroom- Toilet/tub area pretty small- Some cosmetic eyesores- No elevatorFor the price of this place I would say GO FOR IT if youre staying for one or two nights. Oh, and check-in was SUPER easy and smooth...we were literally was in the front door and sitting in my room within 5 mins.
Originally from the Rochester area travel here often. I like to stay at this hotel. The staff is nice. The hotel is always clean I have stayed here a lot. The hotel floors are nice polished concrete. I have NEVER had a substandard room. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. They have a nice little snack store up front by the lobby. It is always quiet here at this hotel. Always pleasant although you canβt please everyone though, I have read other reviews about this hotel that seem like maybe they are competitor spam. I will continue to stay here.
Positive: No carpet! What great floors. Thats so much cleaner. Negative: When I had tea in the lobby in the early morning I asked the front desk guy if I could have a certain channel on the TV. He basically said he preferred it to stay on that channel. The rest of the staff was friendly.
I was in Rochester, NY for a family funeral, and since I am a Choice member, I made reservations at the hotel in Brighton. Had a very good weekly rate, but the part that stood out was the attentiveness of the owner and the staff. Silas, the owner, was Very friendly and professional. I will stay here again. The downside is there was no coffee or hot water in the lobby in the evening, no coffee maker in the room. And no dresser for clothes.
Having concrete floors is easy to clean, but sounds echo throughout the building. We kept the bathroom fan running all night. Windows face narrow parking lot and Highway 31. There was a roll up, black-out blind on the 5x5 ft window. No filtering material. To have natural light means being on display. Juice machine was empty. The only coffee creamer was dry packets. On a positive note: car recharging stations are available.
This property had been recently refurbished and reopened. The new decor was eclectic and attractive, eliminating carpeting and fabric window treatments. The new beds were comfortable, as were the new furniture in the lobby and dining spaces. Overall, a nice place for an overnight stay.
The front desk were very courteous and professional and readily available to help with any issues that arise with the reservation and room. The rooms a well kept and it a quite atmosphere. This hotel would definitely be my first choice if I stay in the Rochester, NY area agian; also a place i I would recommend to others. Special thanks to the front desk staff for helping with the reservation! 10/10
I would not stay at this hotel again. On the surface level the hotel appears to be modern and updated but my room was really dirty. The vent from the A/C wall unit had a really bad smell coming from it. The shower/bathtub and floors were also not wiped down as well as the bedside table surfaces.
For anyone visiting the Rochester area and looking for an affordable place to stay, I highly recommend the Clarion Pointe on Monroe Ave. As a Rochester native, I can tell you that the location of the hotel is ideal. Itβs a safe area, and 590 is RIGHT THERE to take you into the city itself. Within a short distance, youβre close to Wegmans (one of the biggest and nicest ones to exist), some great shops at Pittsford Plaza, the Erie Canal (great for walking), and some excellent restaurants along the waterfront! The hotel got revamped recently and looks great! My room was organized and tidy, and smelled fresh and clean. The staff is WONDERFUL! The owner is a very nice guy, and very helpful over the phone when I had a few questions about my reservation.I hope everyone has the pleasure of being greeted at the front desk by Cindy and Antonio. They honestly deserve raises. Both have such sweet demeanors and were very accommodating and helpful. I needed help figuring out the TV and both of them showed me how to use the remote. They also explained the pull-out bed in one of the sofas and gave me an extra comforter for it. I do a lot of traveling, and this place has some of the nicest staff Iβve encountered among the many places Iβve stayed.
Front desk staff is very caring, personal, and friendly. This place has outstanding HOT water, deep soaking tubs, refrigerators/microwaves, and really stylish cement floors throughout. Excellent location - quick access off the highway and located between the city downtown and Pittsford.
Positive: the staff was friendly, kind and accommodating as much as they could. Negative: the shower -- completely warped and molded, i would not step in that. the floors were not carpeted, allowing the screaming children to echo until 2:00 am, no elevator, no hairdrayers, just sparse and not well appointed
Positive: Not much to like, I guess I am most happy with the fact I survived the night. Negative: Did not feel secure. Alot of shady characters in and around the hotel. Loud music from somewhere into the night. Hard to navigate entrance into parking lot on a rainy night. A/C unit was loud and banged all night long. Pillows were small throw pillows
I learned upon arrival that I could not pay cash, major inconvenience. Comfortable bed & clean room BUT the floors in the room are painted concrete, very uncomfortable. Upon departure you are expected to get a bag from the front desk and put your linens & bedding in it, $95 a night and I have to housekeep my own room, REALLY?!! I have been traveling for business throughout the pandemic and have never had to do this at ANY other hotel. Also, there is no breakfast. Many hotels have not had breakfast through the pandemic but they at least have to go bags with continental breakfast items. Prices have also been discounted because amenities werent available, not the case here.
The hotel was very clean and well kept from the lobby to the room. The room had a couple of drawbacks. There was no dresser or area to store our belongings. We had one suitcase on the luggage stand and had to operate out of the other suitcase on the floor. The room was small, but there was more than adequate room for a dresser. The chain was missing from the door. Bathroom very small. Extremely limited breakfast offerings.
Rooms where not comfortable and equipment not working (tv, telephone). No chair at the desk. Reports to staff offered no correction. Checked out early and denied a refund even after being told the television would not be repaired. No elevators and short staffed. Never going back and will not refer to anyone ever.
Please follow us on Facebook at SNDTRAVELS & also Eat Well Travel Often and Instagram at SNDTRAVELS and SNDTRAVELSEATWELLTRAVELOFTEN.Very nice and clean hotel. The room (107) had everything but a coffee maker and I dont know if that was an oversight or typical. The staff and owner were thoughtful and friendly. Recommended π.
The room was very clean each day. Beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly. WiFi was good, but did slow a couple of times. The only issue was running out of meat very early during breakfast. A large group of contractors were at breakfast before it was scheduled to begin. By 6:30 the bacon was gone. This happened twice out of 4 mornings. It would not have been a problem if I were not on a low carb diet.Still....I will not hesitate to stay there again.
We have been a on an eight day trip and this hotel was our favorite and also the best priced. This hotel is amazing! A clean European feel with Epoxy floors!! The breakfast had a multitude of healthy choices from Wegmans grocery. The desk clerks couldnβt be friendlier and more helpful. We experienced a positive stay. Highly recommended.
Dont stay here. It is a hotel set up like a college dorm. A very low quality college dorm. My room had no heat, no carpet, no dresser, no elevator...... just terrible. I had 8 nights booked and left immediately after my first night, during which I had to wear long underwear to sleep in as there was no heat and it was in the low 30s that night. No carpet, just some silly epoxy on the concrete floor to make it look like marble. Terrible experience. Dont be fooled by the pictures of the reception area.
The hotel was just okay. Had been renovated but the bathroom is very small, the bathroom sink is in the living area and there was little to no hot water for my morning shower. Also website advertised coffee in the room but there was none. Continental breakfast was okay. Kind of an average stay nothing to make me want to come back over trying another hotel.
The hotel was very easy to find right off the highway. The room was great. On the smaller side - but very nice and no complaints. Awesome shower. Size of room was not an issue - I just like larger rooms. Very comfy bed - beautiful fixtures in room. Clean! Would definitely stay again
Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was a bit small but was clean. Towels were fluffy and sparkling white. Breakfast was adequate, but not spectacular. We werent able to check in until 3 pm, with only one hour to dress for a 4 pm wedding - so that was an inconvenience, but we managed. Cleanliness is my main concern when traveling, and this motel rates 5 stars in that are. We were pleased enough to join the Choice Hotels rewards program.
Overall rating is a 4 because they had breakfast included. Full breakfast available even though the DD was next door. The traffic was crazy getting in and out. There is not enough parking for guest. The overall cleanliness is a 3+ because of the area. Most Rochester hotels are clean. The tub clogged when shower was on but bathroom was pretty clean. Not spotless. Hotel staff during check in was efficient but stressed due to situation. The morning staff was better. I also liked the workout room and times available. Needs an elevator for people with children and pregnant women, just 1 due to facility size. I would recommend this hotel for a weekend stay.
Very pleasant stay at this hotel. The place was clean. The beds were very comfortable, fitness center was great with fully functional equipment. Breakfast was fine but staff needed to keep a closer eye on refilling empty trays. We would stay there again if in the area.
Location was good, just off of the freeway. Rooms were of a good size and clean. Plenty of pillows of varying density, I took a hard one and my wife took a soft one.. we were both happy. The towels passed my wifes thickness test-good quality. My only complaint would be the very small vanity around the sink and lack of places to put my travel kit and my wifes travel kit. No restaurants are nearby and the breakfast was not as good as some other Comfort Inns we have stayed at, but it was acceptable. Will definitely stay here again.
The staff were unusually helpful in answering my questions regarding access to the hotels wireless network and obtaining food items I wanted for breakfast. The room was very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Excellent shower also, though the bathroom was quite small. The hotel is set in somewhat from the street and at night it was initially hard to identify because of inadequate street lighting.
The staff is very helpful and friendly. the hotel is easy to get to, and is near many different restaurants. The bathroom was teeny tiny, but clean and kept up. I do wish my room had two queen beds instead of 2 full size beds, but other than that, there were no problems with the room. The breakfast was fine.
The hotel provided a very nice room and the bed itself was excellent, although only one chair in the room you could really make do with that. The bathroom was comfortable and the shower superb.Breakfast was worth the stay to eat it. Eggs were hot and sausage was done perfectly. The food selection was very good.Check in and Check out made you feel welcome coming and that you were going to be missed when checking out.
We stayed at this hotel for the DCA championships over Labor Day weekend. I chose this hotel because it was a non-smoking hotel and that was very important to me. The check-in process was smooth and friendly. We got our room key and were given a room on the 2nd floor. There is no elevator at this hotel, but there is only 2 floors, so it was not that bad to walk up the stairs, but if you have difficulty walking up stairs or you have a lot of stuff to carry, it could be an issue. The room was smaller than most Comfort Inns I have stayed at, but it was adequate for what we needed. There was some severe water damage on the ceiling that was brown and discolored and desperately could use some paint, but it did not smell moldy, so it appeared to be more of a cosmetic issue. The bed & pillows were very comfortable. The sheets & comforter appeared crisp and clean. The bathroom was very small and a little difficult to maneuver around the door to get into the shower. Breakfast was okay. Had all the usual things like waffles, cereal, bagels, muffins, yogurt, scrambled eggs & bacon. Breakfast area was small, but it was very clean and the attendant Lyndsey did a great job keeping things stocked and cleaned. Check out was easy and all the staff that we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. I would probably stay there again if I was back in the area.
Enjoyed my time at the hotel. Was in Rochester on business however I brought my husband along. Arrived early and they were able to check me in without any issues. Room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Internet connection worked well for my business needs. Very convenient location to shopping and restaurants. Had to leave before breakfast, so I cant offer any feedback on that. My husband and I enjoyed our overnight stay. Made reservations to stay again.
This hotel is clean, modern and the towels were soft. It is located right off interstate and in a nice area. But our two complaints are that the rooms are too small and thus not comfortable and the walls are not insulated - we could clearly hear conversations and TVs in rooms on both sides of us. We could also hear the doors closing from the hallway. The toilet/shower are in an extremely small room. The sink is in the bed area and has very little vanity space.
The hotel provided a value for a one night stay compared to the competition that particular weekend. The night clerk, Samatha, was very kind and helpful- she was the best thing about our experience at this hotel. The room was clean, the king bed was new and comfortable, and the TV was large. However, the bedroom and the toilet/bathroom (The sink was outside the bathroom.) are small and the TV doesnt get all Network/local channels, so it was hard finding the news programs we like. The bathroom toilet area might be too small for a large or obese person. The room had only one chair, While the room can accommodate two, it is not that comfortable if one person wants to watch TV and the other one wants to read. The breakfast was disappointing, with a limited number of selections although it did have some cut up fresh fruit.
The staff are well-meaning and nice, but the rooms are just okay and not super clean. My refrigerator made a constant pinging noise and I had to unplug it. I did not ask for a new room because I was already moved once. My first room had a very strong body odor smell, and I was moved to the last available room with a king bed. Hence, I did not report the refrigerator problem. Make sure you mention any discounts like Triple A at check-in time. I did not because I booked online and checked the discount on the web site. Apparently that did not transfer to their computer system and I was still charged the full rate. The hotel is located on a very busy street and it is difficult to pull out. Overall the hotel company doesnt seem to be very well run despite having well-meaning staff. I recommend staying elsewhere in Rochester. There are many other hotels in this price range from which to choose.
I spent only one night here but was very comfortable. The single room was well laid out and the bed was very comfortable, I got a great nights sleep! The room was smaller than other hotels Ive been in, but I actually appreciated that about it, it was the perfect size for one person. The only thing I noticed was some noise from the highway, but not bad enough to keep me awake. I noticed it more when I woke up with the heavier morning traffic. Good selection of sit-down restaurants right next-door with sidewalks, so driving wasnt needed.
Naturally the time that I planned to visit my daughter in her new home in Rochester was the same time that winter weather decided to visit also so in an effort to get ahead of the storm, my son and I arrived at the Comfort Inn Rochester Monroe Avenue very early, way ahead of the posted check-in time. Even though I wasnt holding out much hope that we would be allowed to check in earlier, Antonio at the front desk was very kind and courteous and booked us right into our room. All of the staff was very attentive, kind, and helpful but Antonio definitely got the prize for the nicest! Our room itself was directly off of the lobby but there was never a problem with noise and it was great to prop the door open and walk just a few steps to grab a cup of lemon water, tea, coffee or even hot chocolate. The beds were comfortable, the towels were large and fluffy and not like the sandpaper towels one normally finds at a chain hotel, and the WiFi was fabulous. All in all, there was nothing to NOT like about this Comfort Inn and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend it to friends or stay there again.
My daughter and I stayed at the Comfort Rochester for a quick trip to visit RIT. The Comfort was clean and up to date. We liked having the sink outside the bathroom so it was easier for us both to get ready. The fridge and microwave were nice to have too. It was peaceful and we slept well. The staff was welcoming and helpful with anything we needed. It was a perfect hotel for our quick trip.
The Comfort Inn on Monroe Ave., Rochester, NY was clean. This was of major importance to me. I have had a bad experience in a Rochester Hotel in 2009 so did quite a bit of research before booking a room in Rochester again. This Comfort Inn was rated very high so I decided to book here. I was not disappointed.Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The hotel, lobby, and breakfast room were clean and neat. Best of all, my room was very, very clean and comfortable.I did wish I had a pair of gardening gloves to pull weed in the front and side of the hotel. It would be nice if management did a little more to make it look well kept on the outside. The building itself is in good shape, just needs a little landscape work.Would recommend this Comfort Inn and would stay here again.
The staff were very courteous. Rooms are on the smaller side compared to other hotels but for the rate, it gives you a place to sleep.I was only there one night for a wedding so it provided the bed I needed to sleep in and a shower. The biggest issue I had was getting ready for the wedding. All the lights in the room were very dim, so I really had no idea how I truly looked until getting to the church. Ladies, bring your own light if youre one to do anything more than a light foundation and some mascara. There was a lot of static as well. Every time we moved at night you could see blue sparks in the sheets. Not sure if it had to do with it being winter and the heat on or if its the way the do the laundry but it was a bit annoying. The coffee was good though, and its nice that they leave out the hot beverages for guests.
Small building, easy to access. Nice decor. Flooring is great. at first was hesitant to take off shoes, that it would be hard and cold, but is very comfortable. Is a poured epoxy or something similar. No frills, but nice lobby and breakfast spread. friendly desk worker.
This was one of the cleanest hotels Ive stated at. I dont know how new it is but everything was just like new. And the price made it even more awesome. Yes the sink is in the room, but so what - youre not staying at a 5 Star Hotel. It just feels like it! Very nice continental breakfast too.Cons - lighting over the sink is not the greatest. They should have put the lights over the mirror facing downward for better lighting. The bath/toilet room is kinda small, but what do you need alot off room for anyways. The fan in the bathroom is kinda loud, as its powerful - which is a good thing for... you know.Dave
Good location. Nice, helpful staff. But decor and facility is strange. Narrow hallways. Old hotel poorly trying to look modern with strange, new flooring. Air conditioner sounded like a freight train and tv didnt work. When it finally did, Poor channel selection. Tiny bathroom with sink in room. No counter space. Ok for bed to sleep in if you can sleep over air conditioner noise.
A great deal for your money. The location was excellent, close to everything. The hotel was renovated and clean. The staff was great and the price was right . I would definately stay there again! They had coffee and tea and had a continental breakfast. the workout room was very small and the pillows were not comfortable but everything else was great.
Extremely friendly staff and front desk personnel. Room was comfortable and clean. Nice and quiet, also! Would only recommend requesting a first floor room if unable to do stairs, as the hotel does not have an elevator. (Hotel is 2 stories). Nice hot continental breakfast provided which included waffles and eggs. Great value for the price!
This was a basic room to sleep in. There was nothing special about it at all. The room smelled musty, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was nice that the air conditioning was adjustable. The breakfast was good and fresh and presented nicely, and the staff taking care of the breakfast did a nice job. She was the high point of this stay.
The lack of carpet in the rooms was interesting but something I could deal with. The real reason for the 1 star is because the rooms were dirty. The first room had coffee grounds or something like that all over in the sink. The second room had dirt all over the AC system and they were dust bunnies all over the floor. Needless to say I chose to go to a different establishment.
We stay at the Comfort Inn on Monroe Avenue several times a year to visit family nearby. Its a well-maintained property with accommodating staff. I notice that the faces dont change very often and thats a great sign. The rooms and the breakfast both have small touches we never see at hotels elsewhere for two or three times the price. Things like: plenty of places to plug in electronics, a working fridge, plenty of clean fresh towels, fresh fruit and healthy options at breakfast. While its not a fancy place, its always clean, quiet and in good shape whenever we visit. I always get a good nights sleep and things work just as they should. And the price cant be beat.If I hadnt visited other hotels in the same category in other cities over the past couple of years, I might not be so appreciative but I have -- this Comfort Inn always does better!
I stayed in Clarion as I prepared to sit my licensing exam at Pearson place This was the best experience I needed.to start with, the customer reception at check in was very warm. The rooms were very clean and very restful.I was moved by the reception I received since I checked in and by the time I checked out.I would really recommend this place to everyone looking to sleepover in Rochester. It is assessible to food, and many locations. It is also pocket friendly. My five star is for the love.I would go there again.in addition, they are very flexible and accommodating. They will advice on directions if you are new in Rochester. Its not their job,so I was moved by the kindness of every staff I met.
My father had a problem with his room rate during his stay over Veterans Day Weekend. I called and spoke with Chris, one of the hotels guest service reps, and he quickly fixed the issue in a very professional manner. He was very persistent on having our business, so Im happy to say we will be staying at this hotel next year and hopefully many years to follow!
I stayed here with my mother and my children. The room was nice and the beds were comfortable, but the layout of the room was a little awkward with the sink/mirror in the main room and a tiny cramped bathroom. We forgot a bag here and unlike the Comfort Suites in South Point, OH, they called us immediately to let us know they found it and we were able to drive 40 mins back to the hotel to retrieve it.
I stayed for a sporting event at this hotel for 2 nights. The front desk people are friendly and will accommodate any reasonable request. Breakfast is good with enough choices of healthy and traditional foods. Fitness room is functional but a little small. The tread mill can use service. The room cleanliness and the bed quality are very good. Overall you cant beat the price and the quality of the service. I would recommend this hotel for short stays of any occasion.
This was one of 3 Comfort Inns that I stayed in on a recent road trip. The front desk staff were very nice and the room clean, but with a major irritant. The drain in the sink emptied very, very slowly so the water backed up before fully draining. I didnt notice it until after I checked in. I had unloaded quite a few things from my car and didnt want to go to the trouble of asking for another room...too tired to move. In my experience in staying in CIs, there isnt maintenance available after hours, and since the room was otherwise clean and acceptable, I didnt say anything until I checked out the next morning. The inn was otherwise so nice, that I give it 4 stars, and I did report the problem the next day on checking out. The thing is that this is a problem that I shouldnt have encountered because it certainly should have been noticed by housekeeping. If it wasnt reported, they didnt do their job. If they did report it, either management or maintenance didnt do theirs. Besides being an irritant, I dont see how the sink could have been adequately cleaned. Nevertheless, Id stay there again when in Rochester. I have now learned to thoroughly check out a room before unloading the car.
We originally planned on staying only one night, but at the last minute were able to book an additional night due to cancellation. Upon arrival to our room, room was very clean and near outside exit. Plenty of towels were supplied and when it was discovered that a toothbrush wasnt packed, the front desk was happy to provide one. The continental breakfast had a good variety of foods , dining area was very clean and sufficient seating was available. Location very convenient to restaurants and shopping.
Nice little hotel with clean, comfortable rooms. Bathroom was tiny, but clean. Breakfast items were fresh and dining room was pleasant. Staff were very helpful and cordial. Hotel is right off the highway, but you will need to drive a few miles to find decent restaurants or shops. I prefer hotel rooms with windows that open, which was not the case here. Overall, it was a very good experience and a good deal.
We checked in for two nights. The room was clean and had all the basics. We felt comfortable sleeping in the beds and liked the choice of the firm or soft pillows. The bathroom is small and the sink is outside of the bathroom. If you need change in the bathroom, it is a very tight space. Breakfast both days were eggs, bacon, waffles hard boiled eggs and various breads, oatmeal fruit and yogurt. You have a variety. We enjoyed our stayed and would recommend this hotel for someone who isnt looking for anything fancy, just a simple and clean hotel.
This was my second stay in this Comfort Inn. Both times, I have found it to be clean, quiet and staffed by pleasant employees. Given its location, its convenient to locations on the east and south sides of Rochester. The rooms are ample and well-finished. It was nice to have a room heater that didnt wake me up every time it kicked in during the night. The complimentary breakfast was okay and the wifi worked quite well.
The hotel had the most comfortable bed that I have rested on in the last 10 hotel stays. The room was clean with no smells. Problems with the air conditioning in the middle of the night interrupted a good sleep for both my wife & myself. We also had a problem when we checked in & we hoped that the problem was resolved by the desk clerk but A.C. stopped in the middle of a hot night. When I wanted to shower in the morning, there was no shampoo. Breakfast was good but items were limited.
This hotel was very clean, and hard to beat on value for the money. We stayed in the suite with three kids and were very satisfied. There was plenty of room for the kids to move around and not feel like we were trapped in a small hotel room. I would definitely stay here again, and for the minimal price difference between the suite and traditional rooms, would spend the extra next time as well!
Everything was what I expected - room was very clean and comfortable - bathroom was very clean also (as it should be). Breakfast was good - nice to have some hot items and not just continental. There is no elevator but that was not a problem as there are only 2 floors (we were on the second floor). Hotels staff was friendly and check-in/out was a smooth process. Would definately return if I were in Rochester again. Only draw back were the guests in the room/s accross the hall (I believe they had 2 or 3 together) making way too much noise after 11pm in the halls. Not really the fault of the hotel though - Just hoping people read this and think about others when youre up late partying - some of us would lke to get some sleep LOL
Hotel was okay. Cleanliness is important to me and if could have been better. Room floor was not vacuumed, ice machine had black mold or something in it. Also the cleaning manager told me it was to late ro get my room cleaned at 11:30am when the note said we have until 12 to let you know we want it to be cleaned.
Great location right near the main roads and close by St. John College where I was attending a conference. The only thing to mention was the bathroom sink and toilet were slow draining. I mentioned it to staff upon departure and am sure that had since been remedied. Other than that comfortable hotel and convenient.
Nothing out of the ordinary. The rooms were clean. The brand was a little mismatched with Quality inn items. Small location. I didnβt like that the back door didnβt lock. The employees seemed nice. Not to much to complain about but also wasnβt βwowedβ. I did enjoy the location being so close to many shops and places.
Room was very small for 2 people. For the price I thought it could have provided nicer rooms. We had a little problem keeping the room temperature regulated. The location of this property was excellent for this trip. Close to restaurants we wanted to try and close to my business meetings. Really nice staff at breakfast making sure everyone had what they needed.
This was a nice, pleasant place to stay. The room was quite spacious. Sink was in the corner of the room, but had little counter space on it. There is construction outside that affects the exit from the highway as well as the entrance to the parking lot, but it was not a big issue. The mattresses are a little soft. There is coffee all day!
Our experience with this hotel was excellent in every way. We literally walked in from a bad experience the evening before at another hotel. We were allowed to see the room to make sure it would accommodate us for our lengthy stay. We were treated kindly and considerately. Our room was always clean and anything we needed was readily available. The staff were all friendly and we enjoyed the breakfast each morning. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who might be traveling to Rochester.
Needed to stay at a hotel in my childhood home of Rochester on the occasion of my Moms funeral. We picked the Comfort Inn on the recommendation of my brother and his wife who often stay at Comfort Inns. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and service of this hotel given the affordability. Half of our large extended family stayed here for three days - it was a wonderful spot to spend quality time together. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was super! We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel!
Comfortable bed, microwave, apartment fridge and large TV. Bathroom was tiny, but we didnt have kids so it really wasnt an issue. Continental breakfast was decent and the coffee was available all day. :) Conveniently located near a major highway and across the street from a great restaurant.
For the price I did not expect glamorous conditions. The hotel is generally very clean. There are no frills and the rooms are tiny. I was ok with all of that because it was clean and the staff very friendly. Unfortunately I didnt get any sleep at all as all of the doors seem to slam shut on their own. It was like staying in an echo chamber. We could hear everyone talking, walking, flushing toilets and constant noise until late in the night. Not much you can do about it since it must be a construction issue- but a good nights sleep is not included!
We have stayed at this Comfort Inn several times in the past, and have NEVER experienced ANY negative issues connected with our stays. Our rooms have always been very comfortable, and spotlessly clean, and the breakfast is generally one of the best that we have encountered at any Choice Hotel. Kudos to the management and staff!
Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and professional, and price point was good for the area. The hotel was easily accessible from the highway and close to University of Rochester and RIT. Also close to Wegmans and plenty of restaurants, which was great. The section of town where the hotel is located is not the greatest-looking, but we had no problems and our stay was comfortable. We were also able to print some documents at the business center (desk area with computer/printer). Breakfast was the normal basics - eggs, sausage, muffins, cereal, etc.
The hotel was in a nice are of town right off expressway. The parking lot was small. Throughout the weekend the driveway to enter had 3 orange cones for no apparent reason blocking it. The bathroom was extremely small. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The room smelled like dirty feet. Breakfast was ok.. same all 3 days we were there.
Room was dirty.. Who ever vacuumed did a poor job. There was very visible dirty along the edge of the whole room and there was dried pasta stuck to the rug. Hotel is worn and needs work. This was my go to hotel when I stay in Rochester but that has changed. To many good hotels in area. The only good thing was the staff was pleasent.
This hotel is excellent. Comfortable and nicely furnished rooms. Clean rooms and lobby area. Staff is very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast well displayed and tasty.Location is right off the highway and about 10 minutes from downtown. Hotel is down the street from good shopping and restaurants. Will return when back in Rochester.
The price was right. The room was very clean, updated and the bed was quite comfortable (there were five pillows to choose from)! The wifi was speedy and the desk staff was extremely friendly. There is a free continental breakfast (although it was overrun by a college group when I was there). Location provides easy access to downtown Rochester and surrounding areas. One con, the room doors do slam loudly. If we travel that way again, we will definitely return to the Rochester Comfort Inn.
I would stay in this hotel again. It was near my daughters apartment and was easy to find after driving all day. Checking in and out was easy. We skipped breakfast so cant comment on that. It was a good room to sleep in. Not too hot or cold. Enough blankets. The bath towel was a little small.
Ive stayed in other Comfort Inns and had much better experiences. Just coming off of knee surgery I assumed this motel, as other Comfort Inns has an elevator. It did not, which made going up and down stairs a painful event. When asked about a room change they were not able to accommodate, even by switching someone who what not yet arrived. Also the hallways were in need of a good deep cleaning...noticeably soiled along the edges. For the most part the staff with helpful where they could be, but some of the breakfast staff were very complacent. This maybe picky but attitude is everything and will bring people back. Lastly I felt the stay from Friday-Monday was overpriced. There were better accommodations to be had for the same price.
The hotel was clean and comfortable. The room and beds were small but we managed as we only slept there and visited family during the day. We had a little trouble adjusting the heater as it got hot very quickly on a low temperature setting. Staff offered to help but we managed. Staff was friendly.
Other than the gross liquid eggs from a carton that all these hotels insist on serving, everything else about this hotel was very very nice. (I refuse to give 5 stars to any of these properties until they serve hot breakfast food that is actually edible.) comfy bed, nice shower, quiet room, heat and AC that works, clean modern room, etc. highly recommend this hotel, and Ill be back when I have to go to Rochester next time.
I stayed at the Comfort Inn while visiting my daughter at college. The hotel was clean and presentable, however the way to get to the second floor from the lobby was a flight of stairs, which is o big deal except I suffer from sever osteoarthritis in my knees and it a bit difficult to go up and down stairs. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The surprising aspect of the room is the bathroom sink is out side of the bathroom proper in the main sleeping area which I found to be both good and bad. When someone is in the shower the other person can use the sink which I guess works out. I do prefer the sink to be in the bathroom.
This hotel does not have a lot of amenities (like pool and spa) but it is clean and very easy to get to. The staff are friendly and helpful. We have stayed here a couple of times since it is very convenient to the Rochester Square Dance Clubs. Nice relaxing breakfast.
The hotel was very clean and staff was very courteous. I asked about a college rate and was given a cheaper rate than originally given online. The room was very clean and beds and pillows comfortable. I would definately stay here again. There were many breakfast choices to choose from. Only problem I had was that my internet would not work on my i-pad. No biggee.
I have to admit that I can be a bit of a hotel snob, and wasnt sure if my stay at Comfort Inn, Rochester, New York would meet my traditional standards....am very pleased to say it met them and more: the room(s) (we had 2, one with 2 double beds. and 1 with a king) were clean and very comfortable. For the reasonable price of the room, the fact breakfast was included was a plus. Breakfast, too, was a pleasant surprise! Though not expansive, there were belgian waffles to be had, bacon, freshly made scrambled eggs, etc. (In short, more than enough to satisfy anyones hunger, and it wasnt just cold, pre-processed foods...I have to say, I think I have become a Comfort Inn convert!
We stayed for an extra night, 5 nights in total. We really enjoyed our stay here in Rochester. The room was very quiet & comfortable with lots of pillows on a great king sized bed. Very clean. The bathroom was small with the sink outside of it, but The shower was wonderful with lots of hot water. The breakfast was very good with a large variety so you could have something different every day. Everything was well maintained. It was very conveniently located with easy access to the highway, & close ( within 15 minutes) to the major attractions in Rochester. Do not miss the Strong Museum of Play. It is great for all ages. The nearby Pittsfield Plaza has many stores including Wegmans for groceries, the largest Barnes & Noble book store we have ever seen & several restaurants: Cheesecake Factory, Applebees, Burger Bar, Steak & Crab. There are also several restaurants in Schoen Place including for crepes. You can have a lovely walk by the river after dinner there.
We were very pleased with our visit to your hotel. The young lady at the desk was very personable and helpful, even to providing directions to a destination in Rochester. We were particularly impressed with the comfort of the bed. Our night at your Comfort Inn has prompted us to purchase a new mattress. I wish I had looked to see what brand you use. My only comment would be that from the road, it is a little difficult to find. Perhaps when the construction next door is complete, a larger sign could be placed at the edge of the road. Thank you for your desire for excellence.Regards, Richard and Denise Leavitt
We had a king sized bed which was very comfortable. However the size of the bathroom was very small and the sink was outside it, which meant it was impossible to get up in the middle of the night without waking up your partner.Desk help was very good. Bed, super comfortable. Good nights sleep.
No elevator. No staff really engaged with us. I initiated the only Good morning we received from a staff.Halls smelled of cigarettes (although no smoking allowed) and mold. I couldnt even breathe when we arrived. Had to step outside for a minute.Bath tub looked like it hadnt been cleaned from previous guest.Sensor for remote kept falling from the tv. I had to move stand 2 times a day (at least) to fix.beakfast and directtv were good.
My stay at Clarion Pointe was bittersweet. Dropping off my son as a freshman at RIT was very hard, but the kindness of the staff at this hotel helped me have a safe, clean place to rest after long emotional days - especially Antonio! I will definitely be back. The room was just what we needed for the week. We will be back!
The room was nice enough. The amenities is where they really fell down. The eggs at breakfast were tasteless. The bacon was all uniform in shape and size. Im not sure how you do that but they did it. And it was nearly thin enough to read through. Another head scratcher was that, of the 30-40 stations on the TV that I flipped through, about two stations were actual programs. The rest of the stations were infomercials. Three of them were for the same mattress! But there was CNN, not seen in my room, on the TV in the lobby at breakfast. If you want a room in an okay neighborhood but dont care about anything but sleep, stay here.
Bathroom was tiny, but room was very clean. We were there for RIT open house and staff gave us the college discount. Price was much lower than what other Rochester hotels were charging for the open house. If my son does go to RIT I will be staying there often, as the school is too far away for a one day round trip. I picked the hotel because of the online ratings about how clean the rooms were, and it WAS very clean. Room heater was not noisy, and I didnt hear noise from other rooms. Also picked it because the entire hotel was non smoking. The continental breakfast in the lobby is included free, but when you want a more substantial meal the hotel is close to restaurants (and shopping), Easy access off highway, but I didnt hear highway traffic from my room.
My wife and I recently enjoyed a 1 day stay at this motel for a pleasure trip to my sons. Everything about the hotel was excellent.. The decor was very fashionable modern, bright colors and inviting.Only negative was the road it is located on is very busy at times making it hard to get out. But despite the traffic it was very quiet inside the motel. We will definitely stay there next time we visit Rochester.
We stayed here for one night for a wedding. After a short wait for a room to become ready, the clerk let us check-in early so we could get ready for the wedding. Overall we were really pleased with the quality of the rooms and the breakfast as well. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We would stay here again.
I was so impressed with the cleanliness of this hotel and the friendliness of the staff. I forgot a toiletry item and the front desk provided me with one. The breakfast was terrific and I watched a staff member go above and beyond to wrap up a breakfast item someone needed to take with them to a meeting. I will definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
Great place to stay, but same minor issues as other reviewers. Bathroom exhaust fan went on with light automatically (can be noisy overnight); lavatory sink is outside of bathroom (could be a pro or con, depending how you look at it); and room/bathroom on the small side, but how big does it have to be (other than to accommodate beds/dresser/desk - extra space is just wasted space). Room heater was whisper-quiet (best Ive ever experienced) but not sure how quiet the AC would be during hotter weather. Breakfast was excellent, on par with similar establishments. Check-in, check-out, and parking were all excellent. Road access is excellent. Plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby.
We were there for a one night stay on our way to PA. This is a great little hotel for a short stay. Rooms are a bit small but satisfactory. Have stayed here a number of times and have always been very satisfied. Hotel is very clean, rooms are in good shape, and its quite. Staff is excellent. Great location in a very safe area of Rochester. Great value for the price.
The Comfort Inn on Monroe Avenue in Rochester, NY exceeded my expectations. I have stayed at other Comfort Inns, and while my experiences have been fine, they were just that: fine, not fantastic. This hotel was different. It seemed newer, fresher, and the staff could not have been more pleasant. The rooms were nice, the bedding was fresh, the pillow selection was awesome, and the internet access was free, quick and easy. I will absolutely stay here the next time Im in town.
The hotel was very clean. The staff were all nice and very helpful. Nice little breakfast area to grab something quick. Located in a great area next to restaurants and the Flagship Wegmans. Anything you could want or need is just a quick trip down the road. If you are looking for a clean, well located and economical hotel this Comfort Inn will fit the bill.
We stayed for the night of 8/2/14. My daughter and I were up until until 2am due to loud drunk guests. We checked out at 8am. At 4pm we realized we left expensive items in our refrigerator. We drove back to hotel and I spoke to desk manager. I told him the room number and had to beg him to call the room. He was very rude. He told me the housekeeping staff cleans it daily and the items would be in lost and found. Surprise they were not in lost and found. I asked him what can I do to get my items back. He was useless and gives me a speck of paper to leave my number. I called asst. manager the next morning and she was not much better.I will never stay at another Comfort Inn. I drove back to reclaim my items and it appears they were stolen. The management at this hotel was inferior and rude. Very disappointed.
This hotel, in Rochester, was amazingly clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. The continental breakfast was delicious and keep us full as we proceeded on to our next destination, which was Vermont. A great midway stay between Ohio and Vermont. We will definitely be staying on future trips to see family.
A comfortable home away from home. Nice to have a comfortable lobby with a fireplace & seating area to shelter in should insomnia overtake you! That way, youre comfortable and the rest of the family can sleep in peace in the room. Since the kitchen area is also located in the lobby, you can fix yourself a midnight cup of hot cocoa. I forgot my toothbrush; the Front Desk happily provided one at no charge! All in good repair, even the gym equipment. Well be going back as its a very nice option when we go to the Pittsford area to visit family.
The stay and staff were great ... Rooms were clean and staff were fast and efficient. One issue I have with most hotels is that the beds were hard and even though its great to have your choice of pillows I found it overwhelming .. Just two pillows would have been fine... I enjoy it there and will be back again next year!! Thanks again
Rooms were great for the price. Ive stayed here before in the winter. Standard Choice hotel breakfast. Refrigerator and mw in rooms, very clean, very helpful staff. You cannot beat the quality and the price in the area. Thanks for a great stay. I always stay at Choice Suites and Comfort Inns.
Our bike group of 9 rented six rooms on the night of July 25. Bikes needed to go in rooms and we wanted to wash them. A hotel attendant set up a hose and brought us cloths to wipe bikes clean. He was very helpful and accommodating. Thank you for that and a good stay.Marlene Dudley
From arrival through departure, a top-notch experience. Staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. It is clean, well-appointed and comfortable. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of foods and beverages: all fresh and well presented. We enjoyed our stay so much that well be back on our next visit to Rochester.
Comfortable, clean and affordable. Nine of us arrived in a group with bicycles, splattered in mud from riding in the rain all day. Front Desk attendant, Antonio, was patient and courteous. He went above and beyond by offering to set up a hose in the back so we could clean up the bikes.
The hotel is located close to stores and restaurants. The traffic can be quite heavy on Monroe Ave making a left turn to 590 very difficult. We were pleasantly surprised by the bathroom fixtures and new sink. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful.
I was happy with the cooperation that this hotel and the management had with me as I had a group of 29 college students with and without disabilities stay with us. They were extremely gracious and understood that we needed to have some accomadations to include a handicap accessible room.
We checked in, and then my friend had a serious medical emergency. Chris and his staff were remarkably helpful and compassionate ! They made it easier and quicker for the ambulance crew to attend to my friend. While still in the emergency room, Chris called to check on me. He again called the following day to assure me credit for the room would be forthcoming and to inquire on my friendβs status.Patient, kind, responsible - Chris and Comfort have my business forever !
The mini-fridge in our room was missing a foot so it wobbled every time we opened it. I was afraid it would topple over but it didnt. I was a little disappointed with the breakfast because we were expecting more than a continental breakfast. The breakfast on the website described a hot breakfast featuring eggs, meat, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal and more, including your choice of hot waffle flavors. The only eggs were hard boiled in the fridge and there was not a meat served at all. The choice of waffles was very good though. I enjoyed the blueberry. The beds were the most comfortable we have ever encountered at any hotel rated from one to 5 stars. The hotel staff was very friendly as well.
This was good for an overnight stay, close to major highways and the locations we were visiting in Rochester and Irondequoit. The suite was clean, comfortable and spacious. Front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. The property seemed a little outdated and there was no elevator to the 2nd floor, but overall it suited our needs well.
True diamond in the rough. I travel all over the east coast and usually never stay at a Comfort Inn as typically their quality is different from hotel to hotel. This one has to be in their top 1%. The hotel is smaller but dont let that fool you. It is SUPER clean and they are very resourceful in using the spaces to the best potential. The breakfast was great compared to another Comfort I stayed at in Delaware. The staff was very pleasant and courteous. They even made reservations for me at the restaurant across the street. Very nice hotel and will certainly be back on my way through town in Feb.
This was our third time staying at this particular hotel to visit with Nazareth College. It is close to the school and close to stores. Conveniently located. The gentleman, Antonio, was the one to check us in the past two times we stayed and he was very pleasant, courteous and friendly. The room was clean and supplied with all we needed. Will use this hotel again when we visit with our son in college
This is my second visit to this hotel. Here for RIT move in day. Once again the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and I didnt hear any noise of the nearby highway. The breakfast didnt seem as good this time, no scrambled eggs, I got the egg patties instead. Last time there was no microwave in the room, this time there was! The hotel is right up the road from many restaurants and a grocery store and is just a hop onto the highway. Easy short commute to RIT and costs much less than the hotels closer to campus. My only suggestion this time is that a Kleenex box in the room would be nice, oh and maybe doughnuts!
We have visited Rochester many times during the past six years , and have stayed here several times in both suites and rooms. The accommodations have always been clean and comfortable. This Comfort Inn is a great value as compared to other places in the Rochester area. The breakfast is more than adequate to get you started in the morning. We will definitely stay here again.
Great location to access downtown Rochester with places to shop and eat within 10-20 min drive. Hotel is clean with great beds. Excellent staff to handle any requests. Breakfast is average. Business center is just a small desk in lobby/breakfast area but wifi is great.
The desk clerk was apparently new, and it took over 20 minutes for check in with only one person ahead of me. Our room was clean but small. (Think NYC size room!) The breakfast had a meager selection as compared with other Choice properties I have stayed at (only white toast and plain bagels for toasting, etc)
I have been a long time member of Choice Privileges and choose Comfort Inn for all our college travels when visiting or taking the kids back to school. It is always a pleasant experience. Unfortunately we were unable to book the location we normally stay at in Rochester this time and chose the Monroe Ave location instead. At this location the rooms were small, the sink for the bathroom was outside of the bathroom in the doorway when you entered. There was no towel bar attached to the cabinet for a small hand towel to be readily available, nor any counter space to place toiletries. The bathroom itself was quite cramped, consisting only of the toilet and tub, once again no counter space. The light in the bathroom was connected to a very loud exhaust fan, so that it was impossible for someone to use the restroom in the middle of the night without waking the others in the room. The noise of the air conditioning unit was also quite loud, that between the two it was impossible to hear the television... no wonder I could hear what my neighbors were watching next door! Overall a very disappointing visit.
Hotel was clean. There was an array of food for breakfast and until the, who cares that I just sneezed in my hand, patrons came the area was clean and orderly. Best part, no smoking in the entire hotel and no flea and tick infested mutts are allowed. This is the hotel I will stay at when visiting family in Rochester, NY.
My colleague and I stayed for a week in this hotel, and we want to particularly applaud the excellent service given to us by Tracy, one of the front office staff. Our flight was cancelled due to bad weather and we had to return to the hotel from the airport to get on the internet to check for flight matters.Tracy was very helpful in providing information on taxi book, car rental and room availability around the area as the hotel was fully booked on that day. Comfort Inn is just another hotel, and what makes it outstanding as compared to other nearby hotels is the service by its staff such as Tracy.
The Comfort Inn is a great value. The staff, room and breakfast selections were very good ! The hotel is in a great location. Everything from restaurants, shopping plaza, and of course, a Starbucks for you coffee drinkers. The lobby and rooms were kept clean at all times. Give it a try. You wont be disappointed.
This hotel is great!! It is a hotel with excellent accommodations, a very friendly a helpful staff and a great breakfast (with chocolate waffles!!)We have stayed at several other hotels in previous years for the Jazz Festival in Rochester and this hotel is absolutely the best choice; one can easily travel by car in about fifteen minutes,
The hotel was clean. Some of the lights and outlets did not work in the room. The fitness center had a treadmill and stationary bike. The treadmill needs to be serviced, it was very slow. The breakfast was not very good, all the food was processed. Overall, this was a decent hotel for the price.
Heavy snow and very poor snow clearing in parking lot. Rooms are cramped and there was no easy chair or couch in the room. Bathroom was very small and cramped and the exhaust fan was very loud and annoying. Vanity was very small and way to close to the entry door. Access is ok getting in but leaving is a challenge as the interstate ramps are to the left and during rush hour, the traffic coming from the left is relentless. Be aware this is not a 4.5 star hotel.

2022-05-30We stayed at this facility from May 09 - May 18, 2022. It was a pleasure. It was the cleanest hotel we have ever frequented. The room featured epoxy floors rather than carpet, so no allergens, dust, weird mystery stains, etc., while still being comfortable underfoot. Ample storage for clothes, lots of outlets around the desk for computers and peripherals and an excellent WIFI connection. The bathroom and other areas of the room were immaculate. The owner took the time to greet us at our room and made sure we had everything we needed. Free coffee. tea and snacks were available. The maintenance staff were very nice, quiet and did a great job. Ample parking, secure entry, excellent heating/air conditioning, easy in-and-out of the facility and proximity to major roads and the 590 expressway. For all of that, however, it was completely quiet and peaceful. And all at a great price. We strongly recommend this facility.

2022-06-30Good enough for our 1 night stay. Room 124 was very minimalistic, which is fine. I did like that there was no rug (those can be gross if you think about it). No closet but there was an oddly sized wardrobe. No bureau but a desk. Room was pretty dark for our liking because there wasnt any overhead lighting. There was an ironing board, hair dryer, mini fridge and microwave. Looks like they were either in the process of remodeling or finished. Noticed little things like the paint on the inside of the door was peeling. The nightstand was either scraped or it was paint droppings. The window shade was too small for the window and so if anyone walked by outside they could look in and at night the outside light shone in and was annoying especially if you like to sleep in the pitch dark. The bathroom was HUGE so maybe we were in a handicapped room because there were grab bars everywhere. The sink water never quite got cold enough so we went for ice but the ice machine was broken and the desk clerk had to get us ice from the office. But the biggest disappointment was the deluxe continental breakfast they claim to serve. We have stayed in enough hotels to know this was not anywhere close to deluxe and barely qualified as continental. There was coffee (no decaf), tea, milk, 3 types of juices, granola bars, pre-packaged danish, and apples...THATS IT!

2022-05-16Amazing staff, very clean rooms and quiet. Manager went out of his way to help my daughter find some ear buds she had left behind. Kind hearted people. Would recommend this hotel to everyone π

2022-04-04The desk clerks are super friendly and nice, however, the rooms are dirty which made the stay un-desirable. If you are looking to stay in a clean hotel this is not the place for you. The hotel was super quiet, however, the lack of cleanliness was disappointing!

2022-05-29This hotel has become Extremely Weird since it was rebranded as Clarion Pointe.(1) All the carpets have been removed due to covid and the concrete slab has been finished with an epoxy pour that is (I think) intended to look like marble. Its an interesting idea but not well executed and a hotel room with a painted concrete floor is just not comfy. The series of choices that lead you to do the floors like this is just baffling to me: its obvious that the owners wanted To Do The Least, but the work must have required some skilled labor to pull off. Why not just do vinyl flooring? I dont get it.(2) Every stick of furniture has been painted the most unsettling shade of gray, but the surfaces werent prepared properly, so of course its rubbing off to expose the wood veneer underneath. Its cool to see exactly where every guest before me had rubbed their pillow against the headboard.(3) Your window covering choices are no privacy or no natural light. Oh and the windows dont open even a crack.(4) No coffee/tea service in the rooms. Despite this, the heater smelled like burned coffee when I turned it on. WHY.(5) Front desk dude had to steal me a tub stopper from another room so I could take a bath. Him: Ive never seen one of these!(6) The utterly adequate breakfast service in the lobby has been replaced with what looks like a Thruway convenience store. Do not believe the photo in this listing β breakfast is gone.(7) One wall of the room was a giant print of a photo of apple trees? Okay, cool, yeah, its Western New York, the are apple trees here. But whoever made it put the Weirdest Filter on the photo, making everything appear Brown and Unappetizing. Picture shiny red apples appearing inexplicably on dead trees. Under a curse maybe? Dont eat such applesJust WEIRD choices and unforced errors all around. Its like if extraterrestrials built a hotel habitat for their human captives. (Why humans cry when put in room?)Its like staying in the honeymoon suite at GITMO.Its like the relentless meat grinder of capitalism is wringing out every last cent of value from this property before it has to be gut renovated.Clarion is supposed to be one of Choice Hotels midscale brands. I shudder to think whats going on at their economy brands.

2022-06-04Its a nice place, clean room and common areas. Pleasant staff. Would definitely stay here again.
