Clark Moving and Storage was excellent. They took great care with the packing - even noticing that some of their moving blankets smelled “musty” and replaced them - and handled my belongings with great care. Jackie was in touch throughout and kept me informed. The move went better than expected and was delivered on time (first day of delivery spread). Chris was good to work with both as a packer and driver. On delivery day the hired extras on site were conscientious and worked hard in the heat. Everything went as expected and I couldn’t be more pleased. Highly recommend. Well done!
I had several estimates done before my move. The estimates were all fairly similar but I felt most comfortable with Clark Moving from the initial contact. A team of guys from Clark Moving did my local move. They were on time, respectful, worked hard and worked well together. My job ended up much larger than initially anticipated. They communicated with me throughout the day to keep me updated on how things were going and what to expect. I believe my money was well spent going with Clark and would definitely use them again in the future if the need arose.
The guys at Clark/mayflower were very professional and careful. Loved Chris! He knew what he was doing! Hunter was quiet and polite. Nick was strong as a bull and had lots of energy. No issues with them at all. I would highly recommend them. Mike the director was very sweet and professional!

UPDATE 2: We now have a tentative delivery date for a week from now. Assuming that occurs, that puts us nearly 2 full weeks out from our initial delivery window, and 30 full days out from our initial pickup.I will say that the local Rochester office has been helpful and responsive, but Mayflower corporate has been a massive disappointment. I have a relative doing a similar long-distance move who contracted with a small, local company. Their items were picked up on Tuesday and delivered on Friday. I thought going with the large, national company would ensure a smooth move, but was proven very wrong.---UPDATE: Two days later and no progress. This is a nightmare. That a moving company has no capability to deliver items after they pick them up is horrifying. Stay away.---We hired Clark to do a long-distance move for us. As of now, we are outside of our delivery window and they have no plan for how or when they will deliver our items to us.A moving company is supposed to pickup items in location A and deliver them to location B. The first part was great. Clark was very communicative, explaining the process to us and what was expected. They worked with us to get accurate estimates. Loading day went off without a hitch; the movers were professional and friendly.But once they had our items things took a turn for the worse. We were initially informed that our delivery would be towards the end of our delivery window; which was fine. A couple days later we were told that they dont have a driver and dont know when our items will be delivered, but they were working to resolve that. We waited a couple days, checked-in and were informed nothing had changed. They still had no plans or ability to deliver our items.We are now outside of our delivery window, still in the same situation. The moving company we hired does not know how/if/when they will move our items.I would highly recommend you look elsewhere.[NOTE: I will update this review with the resolution.]
I am moving internationally and placing some items in storage. Clark helped me planning things out from the beginning and implementing my plan with great professionalism and courtesy. I highly recommend Clark Moving. They were very helpful to me and very professional. They made moving my Moms apartment very easy for me to do. The guys, Jack and Jake, worked very well together and were very professional and really great guys, very patient waiting for the elevator and considerate of the other tenants, as there was only one working elevator! After two excellent experiences with Clark Moving & Storage over the past 2 years, its hard to imagine using anyone else. They handle fragile and valuable items with great care and every one of the guys is courteous, professional, flexible, patient - and always willing to go the extra mile to be helpful. Customer service is a lost art at many businesses, but not here.
I have nothing negative to say about our experience moving with Clark and Mayflower. The movers were very thorough, professional, personable, and fast. We had no issues during loading or unloading, really made our move across NY state stress-free.
My first encounters with the Clark Co. went well. The office staff were helpful and efficient. On the day of the move the truck arrived an hour early, when I mentioned this to the movers they were pleassant and curtious and waited in the driveway until we were ready. The movers were pleasant, helpful and polite throughout the move. I signed all paperwork, which was not clearly explained to me. The insurance I signed off on was for 30 cents per pound. No one mentions that if you think about that it means when one of the very nice guys breaks a 10 pound torchiere lamp, (replacement cost being $75 dollars) that after they nicely apologize and say not to worry we will take care of it. It means you will be reimbursed $3.24, which doesnt even cover the tax. I feel I was blind sided as to the insurance and now need to replace the lamp that was clearly broken by the mover!
The Clark moving team did an exceptional job. They were very professional, personable and made sure that every detail was covered. They certainly made everything much easier for us! We will definitely be using them for our upcoming out of state move as well. I recommend them very highly!
The two movers arrived on time, very organized, thoughtful, professional, polite and careful. Where the client moved to WAS NOT SET UP for ease of delivery! The FAIRPORT Baptist Home does not have a service elevator to move furniture. It took three x’s as long going from upper floor to 1st floor where the resident moved to! Was horrible and never a complaint from the movers ! They were THE BEST!! Would recommend in a heart beat❣️
Michael from Clark showed up to give a qoute. He gave us whole salesman spiel about how they’re such a professional company. Took a walk around my house for a long time and asked me several questions. And then l was told within 24 hours I would have a qoute.I decided that point no matter what the cost. We were going to use Clark moving storage because he was so professional.48 hours had passed. I had not heard back from Michael. I emailed him and several hours later he got back to me and told me he had no information for me and that I had to wait even longer for my qoute.By end of day yesterday he emailed. I was advised that they were completely booked. And that because my date seemed very solid that they just didn’t want to do it . Well my dates aren’t solid we did not discuss that.I have absolutely no problem with them being booked but I have a huge problem with them sending out a sales person when they knew my move-in date and they were fully booked already. Why in earth would you waste my time. I wouldn’t recommend using them for a local move. And if you’re hoping they can get you in they can’t. But they’ll make you feel like they can. And that they have your back. Its all talk. I’ll find a real moving company. So disappointed.Then after telling me they couldn’t help me and making this review. They sent me an email trying to explain themselves away when that’s not even what this is about there so unprofessional
Hi, my husband and I used your go mini storage services while we moved. I cannot say enough good things about your team. Shirley was so wonderful when our closing date got pushed out. She was able to coordinate everything in an instant and was always a pleasure to speak with. The delivery driver, Bob, was always considerate and made sure to let us know if he though something would shift in the mobile units so we could adjust things to avoid damage to our belongings. These movers were amazing! I have never used movers before and they made the stress free. They were professional and took very good care of my belongings. They were fun to be around and did a wonderful job!
Clark Moving was wonderful to work with from the estimate to the move. The three men who did the move were friendly and unbelievably efficient. Despite working swiftly, they were careful not to damage anything at all. They finished in much less time that was estimated and our payment was refunded accordingly. I would highly recommend Clark!
This is the third time I’ve used movers and Clark stood out above them all. I highly recommend them for their professionalism, promptness, and organization. Moving during COVID isn’t easy, but we were able to do a virtual walk through to get an assessment of the time and space needed for the move. The movers wore masks while speaking with me and they worked quickly on an extremely hot day.

We felt terrible because we had so much more furniture than these guys expected, but they went ABOVE and beyond to make sure everything was handled with care. My boyfriend and I decided to get our first place together and with that always comes the nerves of moving, but thanks to the manager, Gary LaPietra and the rest of his crew, our first experience was perfect. We cannot express how thankful we are for these guys for all of their hard work. I absolutely recommend them to anybody planning a move!!
As far as movers go, doesnt get much better. They came, they were courteous, they brought everything in carefully and efficiently, and they reviewed every piece that was moved to confirm nothing was missing. Easy, simple, what more could you want.

I just wanted to send a belated Thank You to your company and staff for making my parents move so effortless. My parents decided to move out of their long time home, and they were very worried about making sure their possessions were well taken care of as they were transported to the new location. I was concerned about how long it would take because my parents had a long day ahead of them.Al and Joe arrived promptly and were very courteous. They were so patient with my dad (he had just woken up and wasnt ready for the bedroom furniture to be moved) and mom (who was tending to dad) and with me (as I nervously fluttered around the house). They packed everything very carefully and the contents arrived and were unpacked with no damage.I also appreciated the call to find out how the move went later in the day. I felt as if it added a caring touch to an emotional experience.We also received a slight refund in the price because we had less boxes than expected. That was good for the budget as well!

I was so happily pleased with the packing job done by them on my art. All paintings were packed appropriately depending upon medium, and arrived in pristine condition. The one clay pot that was broken upon arrival will be taken care of by insurance. I highly recommend these folks, most reliable and meticulous.
[Edited 2/19/19 to reflect follow-up from their COO]Our salesman, Rick, was professional, courteous, and a pleasure to work with on our move. However, the actual move did not go well. The movers did not work efficiently. When asked to get back to work, they asked, you know the estimate said 8 hours, right. Thats not what a customer wants to hear. They wrapped couches and chairs that wouldnt get scratched anyway and neglected to wrap certain wooden pieces that were more fragile and susceptible to damage. They seemed to move items multiple times and stage them before moving them into the truck. They also seem to be really straining themselves rather than relying on each other for help and assistance to lessen the load. When they arrived at our new home, they did some damage to some walls, ceilings, paint, and furniture. Multiple pieces of furniture were dropped and two were broken by the movers, and not because they shifted in the truck. One of them used the F word many times in front of my wife and young son. He didnt seem to realize how unprofessional and rude this is. I told him to stop. When the home office called me to ask how the move was going, I told them about the swearing. Soon after the mover confronted me in my own house asking if I had a problem with their work. Luckily for him his boss arrived at that very moment. I expected an attempt to rectify the problems on the spot instead of the manager explaining them away.It took this review to get some true follow-up from upper management who finally did take the time to listen. He apologized and promised to make it right, and he was responsive and easy to reach from that point forward. He stated that this would be a learning experience, and that Clark is committed to good customer service and referrals. Im happy with his personal involvement, and I appreciate the time he took with me.
This group made our move unbelievably easy.The communication and teamwork that these guys showed was amazing. I’ll never move again but I’ll gladly recommend this company to anyone.They moved my entire house including a pretty big hot tub for a lower price then most companies wanted for just the tub. In fact they came in $400 under the estimated cost.

The office team was quick to respond and help me schedule everything... when the actual movers showed up, there were more than i expected and every single was very helpful with all furniture, boxes, suitcases, etc!!Hopefully, i dont have to move again... but if i do, Ill definitely call them!
I was very excited to hear what this company has to offer based on the reviews. I called in, and the first person who answered was very polite. He transferred me to another individual, and I left a voice mail to call me back and see what they can do to help us move. When I did receive the call, the lady on the phone had a very condescending voice and seems like she was rushing to end the conversation with me. Least to say, the conversation was over in less than a minute. I dont think I would want to work with someone who is ready to shut me down when asking basic and valid questions. I am genuinely disappointed.
Clark Moving company (affiliated with MayFower) was efficient and they cared about customers valuable belongings. They built a crate to protect a glass top console table made in Denmark for me because I would not be able to find a replacement if it was damaged. The table arrived in perfect shape along with the rest of fragile furniture and items. On top of that, their co-ordinator Jackie kept me informed of all status updates from Rocheste, NY all the way to California. During the shipping across US, I was confident of shipment were watched carefully by Clark Moving company. I was very pleased with service and skillful wrapping from Clarks moving crews. Clark Moving Company is highly recommend to the folks in east coast and beyond.

Today we moved an 87 year old gentleman from his home of many years, to senior independent living community at Chapel Oaks, Rochester, NY We had two outstanding young men by the name of Joe Caccamise and Jake Trieste do all the heavy lifting, pushing pulling and hauling on a hot and at times stormy day. They were respectful and always mindful of the senior in our presence. I highly recommend and commend the efforts of these wonderful employees. Thank you for a job well done!!!! The curved glass on our China cabinet was broken during the moving. Mover stated it went on the truck in one piece, came out broken. They claim they are not responsible for the $862 repair, very upsetting!
Everything worked wonderful. they were very helpful and flexible with preparing for the move. the packing and unpacking went smoothly and in a timely manner. the packers/un packers worked carefully and provided suggestions and advice that resulted in a safer move. when unpacking, and furnishing location needed to be changed or relocated, they were right there to do it for me. very patient and respectful of my indecisions .... GREAT JOB

Mayflower loaded our belongings on August 29, with a contract delivery date between September 3 and September 9. On Friday, the 6th, we were told by Lori that they had a driver who would load our belongings on the 7th and start his deliveries and she would confirm with us on Monday. We called her to confirm on Monday (today) and she said she would call us back. We have not heard from her, so we called Mayflower headquarters who informed us a driver was not even scheduled until this coming Thursday, with no indication of our expected delivery.We are very frustrated.

Overestimated by over 1.5 tons - verbally said it would be refunded - it was at $.30 on the $1.00. Ripped off by about $4k. Damaged both our house we were moving out of and also where we moved into. Impossible to file for damages. Beware!
If i could give them zero stars i would, i just contacted these guys to do an estimate the woman on the phone was so rude i just ended the conversation. In addition they could not have someone out to do an estimate for over 10 days. As i had further questions the woman on the phone clearly had no interest in helping or answering any of my questions with her arrogant, condescending attitude. Congratulations on losing my business.

2022-03-04I used Clark Moving & Storage to move my entire household full of belongings to their own storage facility. Six months later they moved everything into my new home. Every interaction, from the initial visit to provide an estimate to the final piece of furniture delivered, was exceptional. Every staff member (including the delivery teams) was professional, kind and knowledgeable. There was never a time that I had to follow-up regarding next steps. It was all taken care of for me like clockwork. Ive used other movers in the past and theres no comparison. Clark offers a level of service and attention to detail that is refreshingly superior to the others!

Al, Hunter, and Jack were great in juggling stuff that was going to the storage unit and stuff going to Moms new place. Jackie called in the middle of the move to see how things were going. 2022-08-07Three workers from Clark were on time and carefully moved my furniture and some boxes. They put the furniture where I requested.There are two points, however. 1: They did not remove the large mirror and bring it to the new apartment. My fault because I was too tired to return to old apartment and check it over. I took their word everything was out. and 2. They reluctantly took some of the moving boxes you loaned me; I still have a large stack to be picked up. Will Mike be by to get them?All in all, a worthwhile experience! Thank you.

2022-04-22The driver and crew were courteous and efficient, but did some slight damage to my furniture and floor. I realize there is always a risk in the moving process and overall everything went well. I would recommend Clark to anyone who needs a professional moving company.

2022-04-27We have had 17 moves in the last 47 years. This move with Clark Moving & Storage is by far the best we have ever had. They arrived when they said they would and completed the job when they said they would. The four person crew worked together without even a hint of discord or disagreement. They cleaned themselves out of our house. By far the best packing and loading crew we have ever had.

2022-07-22Very Very disappointed in this company changing policy after an agreement to store a camper. 1 month ago I offered to give a down payment to keep the offer open until we could store. I was told it was not necessary. That storage for the winter was no problem. Yesterday they called and renigued on the storage promise. Saying Policy has changed. This denial is costing me $1000 of dollars more in transportation needs, loss of Hotel Fees, gas prices and inconvenience to say the least. I live in Florida and was excited to be able to store my trailer in Rochester. By the way, I have stored with them for years when I lived in Gates. Very upset. They may be a good moving company, but the storage name is unjustified. They also gave me no reason for the cancellation, other than thats are new policy. Very disappointed financially and professionally of their service.

2022-08-15The guys were on time to start with. They were friendly, helpful and courteous. The estimate was right on, no surprise ending. From start to finish everyone was responsive. I would recommend using this service.
