Beautiful garden in hells kitchen besides the theater district. The garden is a great escape to go read a book or to just take a peaceful meditative walk. Its quiet, clean, colorful & Beautiful.

Huge fan for more than 25 years living on the same block. Unfortunately, right now, the garden is nit open (even to key holders) because of the pandemic. Blah blah. But the garden is resplendent and well-cared for by volunteers. Individual plots are also available. And there’s an apiary! Come and enjoy this oasis in the city.

I love nature! This is the right place to feel free from the loudness and air-polluted Manhattan. My son enjoyed every walk around this small yet amazing place.

10/11/15:I have visited this community garden twice now and it really a wonderful place. I received a tour and brief history about this particular garden and was interested to learn about the park + garden design. When you walk into this space, you enter the park area where there features a small open and wooden pavilion-like structure with grapes growing from the ceiling. There are various types of flora and a stacked bee hive where gardeners extract fresh honey. The garden section features fruits, vegetable and even some carnivorous plants. From these two visits, I can already see how peaceful and useful this garden is for the community.

On the waiting list seven years for a garden plot. Then, out of no where. Love, love, love this singularly beautiful little oasis of green, now technically part of the NYC Parks system. A very interesting history led to its establishment. A dedicated and eclectic group of volunteer gardeners care for, maintain, protect and love this island of chlorophyll.

Beautiful, peaceful garden maintained by volunteers with love. A stunning oasis in the city. Open to the public on weekends, and open to local residents during the week, who pay a nominal $15 for a key.

This community garden has been a part of this neighborhood for decades. Having a green space for the neighborhood is so important, and the folks who help maintain this gem for the neighborhood are lovely!

One of the nicer gardens I know, esp for the area. Have to be a local resident and on waiting list for a key.

A gem in the city. Cozy, clean, well-kept. This small park invites you to linger. There is nothing to buy and no toilets, but you do not need that there either. A few corners further, you can indulge in consumption again. Just switch off and relax.
