Was here today and the gentleman that waited on me was very friendly and had great customer service. Which is a change from other visits I have had here.

Granted the office is updated but it is not plesant to visit. There are containers in the rest rooms for junkies to put used syringes. Along with signs posted that tey check on you if you are in the restroom for more than 5 minutes. When you attempt to walk in you are greated by people hanging out out side asking for cigarettes. And the biggest insult was being accused of fraud when you have exhausted all efforts for help. In my 20 some odd years of adulthood i have never experinced such a bad experince, not even in other counties where the office is located in the inner city.
All they do is act like any help you receive is coming out of their pockets and they are very quick to take everything away from you when they arent supposed to because you have waivers to exempt you for certain situations and they never follow their own guidelines

Get job lists for all jobs available in area. Helpful staff. Parking available. Full service fir benefits and advise . Office.
These people have lied, lost paperwork, schedules, and have forced me to become jobless. Im an injured vet and these people only made life worse.
Professional and pleasant workers, although the wait time can be a bit before you actually get to talk to someone.

2022-02-06They are the worst department of Child Protective Services. An hour and half drive to be told visitation is cancelled because school is cancelled. They victimize her every court hearing. They dont blame the father for his behavior. They blame mother for staying with her abuser. They say she lies about her injuries even though all are documented. They set her up to get her caught by CPS trying to get her only clothing after a well child visit at the doctors. They place her daughter with the fathers parents. The father is not to see his daughter but its easy because he lives next door to his parents. She has completed every requirement to get her daughter back while the father does nothing the court ordered. Why isnt he in jail? Because he has a personal, non work related relationship with the father but we cannot get him to recuse himself. Her just keeps attacking the mother. Its downright shameful and illegal!!! People should flood the phones at the attorney generals office in New York State!!!

2022-02-25Ive been trying for 3 days to get my emergency heap since I ran out of fuel Monday morning. Ive left multiple messages and havent heard anything back. The system is a joke.Update- 3 years later and Ive called 40 times today havent gotten an answer. Love it.

2021-05-31Most of staff is friendly and can help you with any questions you may have. I do feel like the place could be a little cleaner. Not that its dirty, I just feel like their cleaners werent trained properly.

2021-08-23My experience at Clinton county social services was great. I called a day ahead to replace my benefit card and they had a temp card ready that same day! They have a very convenient set up for these covid-19 times!!

2021-12-17I know people who work there and I asked for their thoughts and opinions. All I have to say is before you paint everyone with the same brush take some time to get to know the obstacles they face. It takes a special person to deal with the emotional drain everyday. If you have money in your bank account and are free count your blessings! 👳♂️

2021-08-20The address was wrong on Google maps, it brought me to the jail/sheriffs office. The real address was 13 Durkee St. Plattsburgh NY 12901. The staff were very pleasant unlike back home though

2021-04-23The cps part of it, is horrible. They dont care about your life and what you been through. They just take your kids away. These people ruined me more then my whole life combined. They should have took the intuitive to help get past things that regard to my past.

2019-02-06Not often are you going to enter a county Social Services office and be happy. During my most recent visit I was denied help, however, this denial was explained in full. Other options to get help were offered and I was informed where to go to receive it. These workers try to be effective and efficient and are knowledgeable in there delivery of information. They do there best to meet the needs of an ever-increasing population and deal well with disappointed and angry citizens.
