Clock Tower Grill in other cities:
There is no better restaurant to eat than the Clock Tower Grill. The food is off the charts delicious. The staff is the friendliest most welcoming staff anywhere in Putnam, Dutchess and Westchester county. The owners who are very much accessible and engaging are the nicest people on the planet. There really is simply nothing negative to say about this restaurant. I would recommend it to anyone that wants a great dining and social experience
This is a local spot for us. We try to support them whenever possible especially during times of covid. Their food is always delicious but the portions of the sides are lacking. I have seriously gotten 5 halves of brussel sprouts on my entree plate before. For a close to $30 dish I expect to have a decent amount of vegetables on my plate. Especially since chicken is not very expensive. But its hit or miss. Weve ordered a family style meal recently and that came with tons of food. Just wish the portion sizes were more consistent. Overall a good spot.
Great experience, start to finish! Starting with a warm greeting when we walked in, to an embracing welcome at the bar, coupled with a fantastic dining experience of tastily prepared food and top shelf service, my wife and I rate our experience a 10! (And thus the five stars!!) Well be back, no doubt!!
We found this place through an unusual circumstance. We had taken our daughter to her choice of restaurant for her birthday. It was summer, and the restaurant(as usual) was packed. Their A/C was broken, their drink machines were broken, and menu items were unavailable. We decided to bail. I looked up restaurants near me, and the Clock Tower Grill came up. It had great reviews, so we gave it a chance. This quickly became an obvious good decision. The place is classy and chill, tucked away in a small commercial park, and they have outdoor seating. Very clean, with unique ambience. It is an upscale type of place, and specializes in farm-to market fare. The ingredients come from their own farm. They grow some of their herbs right outside the restaurant. The bar is top notch, with a large selection of local/regional American brews on tap. The taps are always clean, assuring fresh beer. The menu has some staple favorites, and new creations cycled in and out. Its eclectic gourmet fare that is always exquisitely prepared, and amazingly delicious. Same for the desserts. Even the coffee based beverages are great. The popovers are a must. Its a country farm feeling in there, and somewhat dark. Its also kind of hipster, so the servers, while being professional and helpful, sometimes have an odd vibe. Theres one young lady bartender there we dont like at all. But, the sumptuous unique meal you get there makes up for any oddities. Its not inexpensive. You get what you pay for.
We may have over-ordered because this was our first visit, but we we ended up enjoying alot more than we expected so in fact we ordered just enough. The cocktails were amazing, eveb after transporting them home. The Brussels sprouts made the drive home hard with out diving into them and were one first sides finished. The pumpkin carbornara was tasty and did not dissapoint in anyway. The the sourdough beet toast was amaze-balls. We will be going back soon and we will try to complete a lap of the menu... Thanks to the chef, bartender and servers...
I was at a baby shower. 3choices for entree all fabulous. I chose the chicken. I got half a chicken. Delicious but I felt a bit bad cos I didnt eat half of it. And since it was a party I didnt ask for a to go box. I dont like being wasteful with food. At my table I saw the baby ribs and gnocchi, yummy and the salmon, also lovely. Nice light and welcoming decor. I would definitely go back there for a meal with my family. Also the wait staff were very attentive, polite and efficient.
This was our first experience here and we simply expected more. Many food items were under seasoned and bland (popovers, Mac n cheese). Service was slow. Waiter was apologetic so it was at least acknowledged. Great beer list. Nice atmosphere. Cocktail was teeny and overloaded with ice. A couple swallows and $12 was down the drain. This place has a lot of potential to be great it just needs some conscientious tweaking.
Very impressed with my first experience here and cant wait to come back and try more! Our server Andrea provided excellent hospitality and made our experience! Food was truly delicious, the menu is full of enticing offerings sourced locally. I had no idea a restaurant of this caliber could make it tucked away in Brewster. Wonderful staff, skilled & thoughtful chef, great ambiance, fantastic food and drinks! Best dining experience Ive had within 30 miles of this zip code! Thanks
I cannot begin to express my gratitude for the owners and staff at Clocktower Grill--theyre compassion to my family at a time of need was extraordinary. The food was simply amazing---the best grits i have ever had and the service was exceptional. The outside and inside dining are beautiful! Clocktower Grill is a phenomenal restaurant run by phenomenal people! thank you Cassie, Rich and all of the staff!
Nice atmosphere, quiet setting, waiter was great! Food was very good, not large portions, but when entre came out & it was mentioned to our waiter, the dish was a little small, the chef fired up an additional portion, at no charge and came out to the table to ask how things were & if he could do anything else for us. Its was great to see such attention from the staff & the chef/owner. We will be back again.
I like this spot! They prepare first-cleass food, they have a nice menu, The chief cook in that spot is very trained, I love a lot tasting all their food. The dishes are consistently tasty, the service towards the visitors is agreeable. I often go to this restaurant and I was never discontended. I recommend it with no hesitation.
Forgettable food poorly prepared with oblivious servers. I found the food deli quality at best (a la steam table). The wait service was slow, and fairly inept. For the price point, simply awful. I can think of at least 10 area restaurants that are much less expensive and provide a quality experience. I was there on valentines day, so maybe this was not their A-Team. Not for my money, or even yours.
I took my mom here on mothers day because I wanted to treat her to a special meal, which has been hard to come by since moving to the area. The service was top tier and the decor and setting was very nice and quite comfortable. But the food, for the price you paid was sub par. Im not going to say it was bad at all. But it didnt really light my world on fire. And for a $150 meal, with no alcohol I expected a lot more. We got the block, toast and duck fries. I would not suggest the block. The cheese was fine, but the sausage, and pate was lackluster. The toast wasnt bad, and the duck fries were good, but not what I expected. I got the salmon bowl with riced cauliflower and again, it was just bland. The ginger soy sauce had little to no flavor. The salmon itself was fine, just underseasoned and boring. My moms scallops were decent, however. Again, Im not going to say this place is bad, but at a very similar price point, you can eat at The Inn at Pound Ridge for a far superior meal.
My wifes favorite local go-to Restaurant. Always well prepared diverse seasonal farm-to table dishes and excellent service. Last night was no exception for Pot pie Palooza. My wife had the lamb/stout pot pie and I, the beef & bacon which we really enjoyed. Highy recommend this place for any day of the week dinner and especially for the event dinners that require advance reservations and quickly sell out. You wont be dissapointed.
Decided to try a new restaurant for Christmas Eve dinner, needless to say service slacked tremendously the waiter hardly came over to check on us. our drinks were mediocre especially with our mint Mojitos barely tasting of mint. we tried the holiday gingerbread mojito too and it was so overpowering with Gingerbread it was vile. Had three of the people in our party ordered the New York strip steak to have it come pre-cut when we questioned why the chef had cut the steak we were told it was because people dont know how to properly cut their own meat poor presentation of a New York strip steak. The owner was rude and didnt care to fix anything the entire dinner was a dragged out joke.
Confused as to whats so great about this place. Perhaps it used to be good? Food is very pricey for the area with little to show for it. The appetizers in general are incredibly small. The Caesar salad with a $6 add on for chicken came with a mere quarter of a chicken breast, diced. A chicken sandwich had an equally small piece of meat and lacked the cheese and bacon listed on the menu. The service was good, but go elsewhere for the food. For the price of this place, you would expect better quality or quantity.
This is our go to, good food, fine dining, anniversary, birthday events, or when I want to have a meal and be guaranteed satisfaction we go to clocktower. The food is always exceptional! The staff is courteous and attentive. Please try, you would pay triple for this kind of quality food in nyc.
Went for restaurant week. Had their fried chicken entree and it tasted terrible, bitterly terrible. Dont know why they thought this was a good dish to have on the menu. It became a joke at the table to see who wanted to try it. For the price point its worse than Wendys food.
Tasty food, upscale menu, reasonable price. Has a private room, outdoor seating, a bar, and a decor that is farm/Americana with a bit of humor thrown in.I highly recommend it if you are looking for something better than your typical bar/restaurant, but not too much fancy restaurant. People from either will feel comfortable here.
During Hudson Valley Restaurant Week we try new places that appear to take many of their regular dinner entrees and appetizers and offer them at the prix fixe price of $32.95.Instead of just providing a very limited selection or some small platesClock Tower Grill is one of the special places that offers their regular menu items at the discounted price..Their regular menu is so varied that we have often been tempted to take the long journey and HVRW was just the right motivation we needed. We had selections from both the Prix Fixe and the A La Cart menus. For starters we had the Tuna Tartar and the Butchers Block, an assortment of craft meats and cheeses, both were wonderful.Gnocchi with Shredded Short Ribs and Gorgonzola was perfectly prepared.Shrimp, Scallops, Spinach, and Pasta in a White Wine Sauce was delicious. The Wine selection is reasonably priced and the quality very good. This quality of food at a giveaway price is impossible to resist, therefore we took the drive

2022-01-15We had dinner on Christmas eve it was decorated very uniquely. The service was excellent but I wasnt thrilled with the food. Could very well been because of the choice I made (duck meatloaf) I will definetly go back and order something a bit more traditional. Hubby had Partridge which I think was inappropriate for christmas 🤣🤣

2021-07-27My brother and sister in law love this place and we went to the Roaring 20’s Beefsteak Event... Long story short. Perfection. Clearly the owner loves what he does and throughout this event he weaves a piece of culinary art together into an experience that will not be forgotten. Each dish includes his color commentary making it deeply interesting, whether it be the locally sourced grain which is milled and baked locally into a sourdough, or the fifty day dry aged meat..Everything was fantastic. Ambiance was cool. Wait staff follows their bosses lead and their passion shines through. I wish there were more places like this.....

2022-04-19I picked up dinner tonight but have had amazing meals at the restaurant as well. I love to go for a delicious cocktail, (we always end up taking note of the ingredients, but nothing is as delicious as when they make it!) Pick up is so easy. Had short rib pot pie, soup dumplings and sweet chili chicken wings... What can I say?! Everything was delicious! I love to see whats new depending on the season.

2022-06-09Not bad. Id give it 3.5 stars. The place is super chill. Great vibe to take a date or have a night out. The problem is that the food is hit or miss. Ive had some meals that were amazing. Then I had some that I didnt even bother to finish. Overall more good than bad, but worth mentioning. If youre in a gambling mood, CTG is a pretty good bet. Just know you can come up bust.

2022-05-31Great food but the service ruined the meal. Grilled romaine was excellent, as was the wild mushroom pasta. We had 5 different servers, 4 were completely clueless. They were all really nice people, but poorly trained. I blame management for that.

2020-10-20Disappointing and overpriced. I took my mom here as a special night thinking it was going to be a nice evening based on what I heard and read. The ambience is like an upscale pub that is losing its charm.I had the salmon and my mom has the steak, $27 and $36 respectively, see photos. The food was acceptable but certainly didnt match value. The popovers were dense and flat flavour-wise. Seltzer was $2.50 and charged for refill. The bathroom toilet seat is broken and they have 2 soaps which theyve refilled with soap that isnt as good quality as the label suggests. The clock in the bathroom isnt working either :-/I dont mind paying money for good food but I expect at least the experience to be enjoyable and the atmosphere and services to match. Will have to be convinced to return in the future.
