Starbucks in other cities:
Always friendly service from this super busy, often short staffed location. They do their best to keep up with the high demand in the area and make customers feel valued and welcome. In observing other customers as I wait for my drink, I would like to encourage other patrons to have patience and be kind.
The employees are nice enough… but the online mobile order always says this location is out of everything, so you can’t order ahead and you either have to wait 20-30 minutes in a drive thru or inside to get the same thing you would’ve gotten if you were able to order ahead. Seems like it’s very poorly managed.
One of the strangest Starbucks stores Ive ever encountered. The workers are great, but sometimes you cant use the drive thru, sometimes you cant go inside, sometimes theyre closed during normal open hours, they have a LONG list of stuff theyre out of, and theyve been out of register paper for a week. Its as if this store is some remote outpost that only gets deliveries every other month, not a store backed by a multi billion dollar, multi national operation. Pathetic.
Coffee is always (and I mean always) good. Customer service is typically good. The issue currently is hours of operation and whether or not the lobby is open or closed. One day it might be open, the next week it may be closed. And of course you dont know until you pull into a parking space and walk up to the door to see the handwritten Lobby Closed sign. Not a deal breaker by any stretch, but definitely an inconvenience for folks with broken window switches.
The line is so long it took me over 45 minutes to get up to the window to order. They are always out of something, and when your order is placed, they usually mess it up somehow. Go to Target up the street. They have way better customer service and it won’t take all day to get what you want.
This was my first time at this location and it didnt leave a good first impression. I went into the store (since I prefer that over the drive through). I waited in line, where there were only two people in front of me. I was greeted by a friendly worker and my order was taken. Then I waited....and waited...and waited. I was waiting about 15-20 minutes for my drink. The guy in front of me ordered four drinks, however in that time I would guess about 15 cars went through the drive through orders with their drinks. When I got my drink, the barista did apologize for the wait which was appreciated and my drink (caramel apple spice) was delicious. I just think at the time the 2 baristas making drinks for the window would have helped the slight backup inside.Im hoping next time I try this location I have a little better experience!UPDATE: went again and had the same experience.they give priority to online orders and drive-through.
This establishment has to be one of the slowest Ive encountered. The Staff truly cant handle the rush of lobby and drive thru customers. Even when the lobby is closed, drive thru is still backed up. Hopefully the establishment gets their act together and addresses the issue. If drive thru is your preference, plan to be in your car more then 25 minutes if theres a few cars ahead of you.
They usually mess my order up & I have to have them remake it & normally they still get it wrong. The one in target manages to get it right the first time, weird. But what really irritates me, is when they randomly shut down the mobile orders on a whim & close the lobby inside as well. 8 out of 10 times there’s 20+ cars waiting in line at the drive thru & it takes them FOREVER to get through the amount of people. We waited close to 30-40 minutes for 3 drinks. They really need to get it together. They also LOVE to change the hours ON A WHIM. Absolutely ridiculous & I’d rather go all the way to target & go to that Starbucks over this location ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.
They make the drinks and food just fine, but cant handle the traffic. A Starbucks is only so large, I dunno if cramming more staff in there would fix anything.I know there is a Starbucks in Target, but it seems to me there is more than enough demand to support another drive through location in or near Watertown.Dont mobile order or you will be waiting forever; you may as well just sit in the line.
Never in all my years of Starbucks across this great country have I seen a worst store. 12 people on the floor and still a 45 minute drive thru wait time. Unstocked cups and lids, empty bean hoppers, no straws, yet theres a girl pulling matts and scrubbing them (rather pathetically) in the middle of a lobby with people waiting 50+ minutes for orders. All chaos and disorder behind the bar with dirty work surfaces and missed drinks... yet 3 staff members were eating while serving customers!!! The manager or supervisor calmly strolls out from the backroom during this horrific display of a shift, pours one cup of water for the line and returns to the back room without any word to the struggling and disheveled staff. Id like to say this was a one time problem, but for this location in Watertown its guaranteed. When I worked at the Bux, this would have been grounds for a write up and 3 times youre out, but this location perpetually has long lines, dirty store front, under stocked items, random closures, or mismade drinks. Its a sad display of what a good store should run like.
Over the last 2 years I have stopped at this location numerous times; today was their last chance and I walked out empty handed. Once again I placed a mobile order for a Venti Flat White. Many people were waiting at least 45 minutes! When I checked in the 2nd time, as we were social distancing I was outside, they had lost my order. I then requested a refund as I wasn’t going to wait any longer, and they were surprised! Really!? I’ve already been there an hour at this point! Who manages this particular Starbucks?I frequent Starbucks almost daily, for many years and in several countries. Never once have I ever come close to experiencing this consistent lack of service.A few of us had a conversation about while waiting also. Our suggestion- new management!
Whenever I can I avoid thus starbucks. Wait times are insane and hours are changing constantly. Today it’s 7-4, what kind of coffee place opens at 7??? Most other starbucks are up and running at 530. I’m giving this two stars because the drinks are still good but the wait is ridicoulus and shutting down mobile orders did nothing
Consistently cannot handle juggling the drive thru and in store orders. After waiting 40 minutes and watching the drive thru line disappear before I received 2 drinks, I decided to put it to the test.I sat in line until I could no longer go forward without risking getting trapped while my husband went inside. I can confidently say, I could have made it through the drive thru before my husband made it out. 5 cars passed me made it through before he came out.
Went on the day when they were giving out the free holiday cups, and despite them being crazy busy they handled it awesome! Very organized to keep things running smoothly. Order was correct and delicious! The entire store and drive thru was crazy busy and they handled it great.
Went through the drive thru and asked for a Trenta Dragon Fruit refresher, they handed me a grande. I didn’t make a huge deal, and walked inside and said, “i payed for a trenta, and got a grande.” Girl at the cash register apologized and offered to fix it. Until the girl behind her rudely cut me off and said whatever the receipt says, is what i got. Not to mention, i payed for a trenta. Wasn’t upset or anything until the worker rudely told me i was wrong, and said she can’t do anything to fix it. Only bad experiences at this starbucks.
Waited 10 min for my drink and the line was not moving. I asked how long it would take for my drink and they said another 30 min at least. That is UNEXCUSABLE. Who expects to wait almost 1 hour for a coffee? If we were told that from the start when ordering we would have not ordered and wasted our time standing there.
I submitted my mobile order at 3:04, and I understand that the establishment was busier, but I did not receive my 2 cold brews until 3:36. It would have been quicker to go through the drive-through, as people who arrived after me were served before me. What is the point of having a mobile account and building loyalty if youre just shuffled in with the masses? I also saw the barista printing out tickets and pulling orders out of order based on people complaining - which just made patient patrons have to wait even longer. Just so disappointed in my visit today. (3 stars because some of the staff were friendly and the drinks were made accurately).
Food, drinks, and service are fine, but do not go through the drive thru unless you have 45 minutes to spare. And this wasn’t a one off. Every single day it’s like this. I don’t get why as I’ve been to several other locations that seems to move right along. At this location, each car is at the window for about 7 minutes. Insane!
Never have the nitro cold brew. They have actually sold me regular iced coffee as the nitro cold brew on several occasions pretty much ripping me off. Since the lines are soooo long I hve never went back to question it or get money back. They are never open on the hours they have posted. Ill arrive there at 540a.m. and the place is still closed. Just pretty poorly managed overall because this stuff happens frequently.
Torn with the change in review. Used to be my favorite coffee. The machiatos very strong, which is what I prefer made with espresso, but lately it has been inconsistent not only machiatto but lattes as well seem to be mostly creamer. Way to often I have ended up with a cup less than desirable.
I realize that were in a covid protocol right now but it wouldnt kill you all the cleaned up tables on the patio keep them somewhat nice and had a garbage can out there. Some of us like to sit outside and have a drink while we still can, and not have to bask in the nest in this on top of the tables from other people. Other than that my drink was fine in the oatmeal was delicious.
Unfortunately this location has been having issues with being out of products lately. They have a huge list of items, ingredients, and foods they arent currently serving. Kind of a bummer, especially since the line is always extremely backed up, and there is no way to know if they will have your drink/item until you order. (Mobile ordering also hasnt been available for some time now.)
I just went through the line at this Starbucks in Watertown, I ordered the same drink I get everyday. I was the only car in line so I was glad I didn’t have to wait. When I get to the window to make my order I was greeted with attitude, I just ordered and made sure to thank her. I get to the pick up window to pay and was given the wrong drink. I paid and went because everyone has bad days. I went to take a sip and my drink was literally just milk. I wouldn’t mind it if there was any trace of the main ingredient but it was just a cup of milk and for ten dollars I just wanted the right thing. I go back through the line to talk to the barista and apologize for coming through again and just asked for a small cup of chai so I could put it in myself, not to remake the drink because I knew it would be frustrating for them. She then proceeds to tell me that I’m wrong and that the drink was made right and ended it with a snide remark. I am astonished being that I work in customer service and hers was absolutely appalling. I go to the window to apologize for the inconvenience and she just says “YUPPPPP” and walks away like I was the one in the wrong ?? I used to love this starbucks but that will be THE LAST TIME I will be getting ANYTHING from here again.
Other than the target and on post outlet this is the closest Starbucks in north country. They know this yet continually dont have enough inventory. Its constantly sorry were out of that with an attitude of what they do have as if to say: how dare the customer ask for a menu item we failed to properly resupply. Nasty attitude wench.
The lack of customer service is unreal!! My drink was not made correctly, so I went inside and explained this to the woman at the register. Mind you, this is the first time I have ever had to do this, but I’ve drank enough of their coffee to read the message on their cups. The woman at the register was rude and unprofessional and began talking slow as if I wouldn’t be able to comprehend if she spoke normally. Told me how to order next time. Well, I’m here for my “next time” and ordered how she told me to. The woman at the drive-thru was confused and corrected me. I had to explain to her that’s how the rude woman wanted me to order it. Regardless, I’ll no longer be using this location despite the convenience. There’s a Tim Hortons right next door.
Do not utilize the drive-through unless you plan on waiting 25 or more minutes, the drive-through service at this Starbucks is the slowest service I have ever experienced and it wasn’t just today, it’s always like this no matter when you come to this location. Fully plan on waiting no less than 25 minutes because they are absolutely the slowest drive through in all of upstate New York.
Management needs work on hiring. I enjoy Starbucks but not any longer, the old baristas made the store worth visiting and I miss them. 2019 was a much better year for this location and returning to this location is a letdown now that some of the ladies there are gone. Heartbreaks
The females this establishment are rude and talk down to their customers. I literally waited 40 minutes for a single ice coffee while I seen there were cars flying through the drive through . when asked why it was taking so long I got a, we are under staffed answer. I think its absolutely ridiculous these people would lose their mind if they were in an actual busy area like the city or long island
I visited the store twice during the week of June 29th. They were compliant with Covid which is good, but they seemed to be overloaded and I had mobile orders that still took several minutes to get going despite ordering them a good amount of time in advance. I am happy they are getting a lot of business but hopefully they’ll be able to project now to have enough staff on to meet demand timely.
Pretty good service, although some of the baristas dont use the proper formulas for drinks i.e. water in iced chai, and dont top off drinks if they dont have whipped cream. In spite of this the manager is really nice and most of the staff are incredibly polite even when they are busy.
Im having to change my review from last year because the quality has seriously declined! The baristas dont always read the lables clearly, often dont even mix the drinks, and forget to add things. Today I went to get my drink and instead of heavy cream I got regular milk and there is NO coffee in here. Its just a cup of milk and pumpkin syrup. Just go into Target if you have the time or just skip it in my opinion.
I love this Starbucks! The staff is always friendly and helpful and everything is always made to my liking. The place is clean and organized, usually stocked with everything. Oh and did I mention I loooove the staffs attitudes? I will be there in the morning to get my drink and egg bites.😁
Got a matcha latte and it was barely warm. Not only that but the staff was extremely unprofessional I could clearly hear them talking about someone, not in a nice way either. Not sure if it was a customer or a co worker they were talking about it but myself and the person next to me could head them clearly and they were pretty obvious. Extremely unprofessional.
This Starbucks and it’s employees are great, however I think the management team needs to explore options to place another stand alone store somewhere in Watertown. This Starbucks during rush hour becomes very overwhelmed and individuals end up waiting over 30 minutes during the busy times of the day.
We were in the drive through and my friend took a picture of something on the drive through counter while the window was closed. The associate proceeded to yell at her and told her she needed to delete whatever picture she took. And that it was against starbucks policy to take pictures of associates. To which she showed him that he was in fact not in the photo and he still yelled at her to delete it. She then looked up their policy and it states employees cant post photos of themselves but nothing says customers cant. If she had taken a photo of the associate it would have been much different and she would have deleted it but his behavior was completely uncalled for. We will go elsewhere from now on.
I feel like a lot of the employees have had an attitude or moved really slowly here on a number of occasions and the baristas are VERY inconsistent with the recipes. I always get an iced caramel macchiato and it is always a different color, with either a ton of caramel or sometimes barely any. I love when I ge t extra coffee but there are times that my drink is essentially milk. Ive been to countless locations as a regular in the past and this place is by far the most unpredictable.
I ordered a venti Carmel macchiato with 3 shots of espresso this am and got a cup full of milk. There was no Carmel drizzle, or vanilla syrup, and I highly suspect there is no extra shot. Generally they are pretty good but this am was awful. I don’t like paying 6 bucks for a cup of milk.
Place looks nice, employees seem nice but my god the service is incredibly slow. I used to go here once a week but I started to notice if I didnt come ridiculously early, Id be late for work especially since their drive thru is extremely narrow and once youre in you cant drive out. So I started to come inside, same wait times. I stopped coming for a while but the fall flavors are back and they are delicious! Went last week - almost 30 minutes for one caramel ribbon frappuccino. Went again today - a tad over 20 minutes for a pumpkin spice frappuccino. They should put a TV in there with how long you wait.
Rude staff! We are 6 hours unto a road trip and very ready for a bathroom break and a coffee! The staff is yelling at us “MAM YOU CAN’T USE THE RESTROOM”. Covid closed.Ummm.. what are we supposed to do? They sent us to Speedway, but their bathrooms are closed.Seriously, if you can have merchandise and drinks/snacks for everyone to touch, then you can open the restroom and keep them clean for your customers.
Chill cozy atmosphere. Modern spacious layout. Modern lounge space and tasteful placement of furniture and tables. Playes music over the speakers that I enjoy listening to. Temperature controlled. Friendly workers. Spoiler alert I dont drink coffee, but my friends do -- and they wanted to go to Starbucks.
Great place to go and get coffee. Its unfortunate that so many older people like to come here and berate all the baristas for doing a terrible job, even though they are in fact the ones that terrible and impatient as can be. The staff was wonderful and very polite with making sure everything was correct.
Walked in and there was already a group of people waiting... ordered A Strawberry Frap. Waited for more than 15 minutes to finally receive my order with more whip cream than anything! Tons of people came to get their orders fixed from drive thru as well as dine in! Not satisfied with my order and was even insulted when I asked why my order was wrong !!
The coffee and service was just amazing. And the store its self clean, fresh, and a very welcoming area. Besides the wait, its well worth it. Try to find the times when theyre the most busiest, just so you dont get stuck in the morning coffee drive thru, mid day life crisis coffee run, and or my personal favorite Give me the coffee and no gets hurt run. Also please do try their yummy selections of treats. The lemond bread is on point!
Their coffee is very good along with their food. I just wish they would put the flavor choices on the menus for the coffee. I dont have a starbucks in my town but when i drive to watertown and want to get a coffee i stop here and can never figure out what they have because their menu is missing all the flavors.
Usually this place is top notch. But we drive through Monday between 12-2 and we are wondering why its taking longer than usual to get out drinks. The car in front of us had a couple drinks, no big deal, then it was our turn, we buy a couple drinks and my friend and I look through the window and see the employees carrying on in conversation. We see her holding my friends drink in her hand and we are wanting to get home, but we already paid. . . So we sit there for like 5mins watching these girls carry on while holding her drink in her hand. We started to catch onto why everything was taking so long. New employees Starbucks. Tim hortons has faster service.
Place was Filthy, bathroom has mold growing on the tile walls near hand dryer along wall tile Grout. Grout was black with what looks like mold. (I ve seen the tile grout mold in numerous similar starbucks bathrooms tho.) Oh yes took 30 mins to get 2 Hot Drinks which were tepid at Best. But the Staff seemed really Happy. Worst starbucks experience ever
Best coffee ever and well around town thats for sure ...the service is amazing and the workers are always smiling and happy ever in the early morning hours ...my favorite by far the salted Carmel mocha. ...venti in a mug not paper cup ....super delicious...i give it 5 stars definitely recommend to all :)
Extremely disappointed with this location. I love Starbucks but this place should not be aloud to represent their name. Wait times are always ridiculously long and staff always seems to be running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Countless times I have gotten drinks 3/4 full or sweetened when I specifically said no sweetener. Today was the last time I will ever go there. I cannot have Coconut as I am allergic so when I asked for a Chai Tea Latte with Almond milk and they made one with coconut milk I told them to remake it. They did and I left but when I took a sip I immediately realized it has coconut milk in it! Now luckily I’m not allergic enough for that sip to cause any issues, but seriously this is ridiculous and thank god one sip wouldn’t hurt me! This place deserves no stars in my opinion.
I visit this Starbucks frequently. I am easily satisfied and many baristas at this Starbucks are great. But today my experience was the worst. I ordered a green tea latte and it came out white....... I asked the barista to remake it and she was rude. She insisted she made it correctly and trash talked me behind the bar with her back turned when she remade it. No apologies at all, only a glare and huffing when she pushed my drink back at me. The next time I return to Starbucks I may walk out the door if she is the barista again.........it was THAT negative of a experience.
The wait times in the drive through are ridiculous. I remember now why I never come here any more. Service is poor, wait times are poor, and prices are high.Edited: I used to park and go in as recommended but the waits were just as poor. I have even ordered ahead with the app and get the same poor experience. Not coming here again...it is a waste of time.
This is a small place and parking is at a premium since several folks like to just hang out, as is typical of Starbucks, and the parking lot is small. The busy young staff appear a bit stressed once in a while, and you cant blame them, but the coffee..... aahhh..... it just doesnt get any better than Starbucks! I have to say its worth dealing with the parking, or just go thru the drive-thru because the end result is sooo worth it!
Never been to such a rude and slow and unprofectional Starbucks . And I’ve been around the world even in foreign country’s ha . They never can get my drink right the first time , I’ve had so many remade drinks it insane !!!! Always additude even before getting my order which is a simple americano out . Like the easiest thing to make I don’t understand why I’m the one telling them how to make it ! Won’t be back !
Its official, this is the worst Starbucks ive been to in my travels. Its like their machine is broken because the espresso suck and by suck i mean weak, incompetent compared to other starbucks. The baristas have 90 percent chance of making a crappy drink, the flat white suck, the way they make the cappuccino suck. The reason i gave it two stars before was because starbucks is known for a richer darker roast but this particular starbucks is the worst ive ever been too, i mean their drinks suck most the times i go there.. I strongly believe that their espresso machine is broken or baristas are re using espresso grounds. And or they all suck.
Pretty good Starbucks location overall, but the music here the last couple times Ive been was way too loud and often a little obnoxious. I think the music wasnt from the usual Starbucks playlists, since it was different from what the Starbucks app said was playing at the location.
Okay from a coffee perspective Starbucks wins hands down, that said they need to figure out their staffing, their online orders and prioritize, I have left twice because the line was down the road, well over a 40 minute wait is beyond ridiculous and it has no signs of improving
I think corporate, like most franchises around Watertown, underestimated the popularity of Starbucks even in a rural area and chose one of the smaller square foot options available. Hence, the location suffers from a lack of parking and indoor seating and makes for a poor user experience. Often times the line for the drive thru stretches out into a nearby restaurants parking lot, and Im sure every hardworking, polite, under-paid barista there is sick of tripping over each other behind the bar. That said, the new christmas tree frappuchino is a real hoot, but be sure to get it made with coffee.

2022-05-30Very hostile inherent environment these young people were rude , very lazy dirty and completely unpleasant while I was there 5 times and would bring colleagues in for a cup of Joe we were showered with bullying by employees to employees, one time we were told that the fresh pot would be the same as a pour over? To put it simply the whole store and differently the managers need to be dismissed completely restored.

2020-09-18Last time I went in someone immediately screeched “wear a mask,” before hello. No politics here...they’re just rude. This town is rude. We have 2 of these haunts and honestly after a long-day-drive or what have you, I seek out that mermaid Illuminati lady hoping for that ray of sunshine (even the awful red at Xmas)...It makes living worth it. But here, have no expectations and if your coffee is lukewarm and almost what you ordered you’ll at least be content when you leave. It’s Watertown, be friendly, share love and don’t expect any return on your affections—but at least you tried.

2021-11-18ISo this morning I went to this store to pick up an online order! A Toasted White Hot Chocolate! Pick it up really quick and after a while I figured it wasn’t a Hot Chocolate. It is actually the first time I got my drink wrong there. Mistakes happens and I totally understand! Not mad or nothing. It was coffee based and I can’t have coffee! Went back to the store and got it fixed in les than 2 minutes. I really don’t remember the girls names but they were the best honestly! I’d felt really grateful for it. These are the things that I think need to be shared the good ones!!!! Thanks Starbucks for always go above and beyond for the customers!!! 🥰
