Coliseum Inn & Suites - Garden City Long Island in East Meadow
This place could be a gold mine if it was updated and cleaned better. There are few outlets in the rooms as well as broken curtains, unseemly furnishings, etc. And they are not.a bargain. Better place are just about 3 miles away. If only they would take advantage of their location and not their Customers!
The shower had great water pressure, the bed sheets were clean. However, the floors are disgusting and the general maintenance overall is less than spectacular. Frankly, I didnt understand how it had 4.1 star rating on Google in the first place. However, I guess I did get pretty much what I paid for. Ive been to nicer no-tell motels that had lower ratings on Google.
This hotel is great for a quick stay in garden city. The staff are very nice and helpful. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Seems like the management are doing some renovations . Best thing is that the location is close to everything , Nassau coliseum, Eisenhower park, hofstra university.Would definitely recommend to friends!!
This is the worst hotel ever! Wouldnt recommend staying here! They give you a room that smells like smoke even though you request for a non smoking room. They dont accommodate you nor give you a refund! Plus you cant get in reach with management. Their staff have such an I dont care attitude.
This is a split extended and short term stay hotel that needs some serious work. Its dirty, dark, no security outside the checkin lobby, and at first pass doesnt look like a hotel at all. Rooms all need updating, and new window screens as every screen on the building was cut open. We did not stay the night, just surrendered the $100 and drove 3 miles to the Hyatt. Also was $100 and didnt appear to be a movie set for a film about new Yorks seedy underbelly.
Noticibly cleaner than previous times I have seen rooms there. The seperate building seems to a bit better than the main building. I just saw a friend visiting from out of town so I dont know if there are any improvements to other areas.
The pictures are not like in person. This place is tore up! The rooms the outside everything was just unappealing. No ice machines! Sheets were stained with burned holes.
The worse hotel I have ever seen.New York should shut this place down. Not safe at all and smells like a garbage dump
I went for the first time and i was disappointed and disgusted with everything the building itself looked like a homeless shelter for crack heads the room smell bad the bathroom sink was broken up the bed smell like mildew 👿👿👿👿
Price is right, I guess for what you get.Even tho you request a non-smoking room, they give a room that smells. It seems that they allow people to smoke in the rooms. Definitely would not recommend it.
There are no fridge, no garbages , there was a roach on the bed that got in my food that made me throw up , me and my mother had to go to 3 rooms , this is such poor condition , if i was you make a better choice and not go here thanks u! i will not be back
This place was horrible. It was a DRUG DEN.... this place you can literally pay by the hours. The room was cold, the heat did not work! He tried to give us several rooms all with the same heat issues. We were there two hours before we asked for a refund which we had to fight to get by letting him know it’s illegal to not have heat in 20 degree weather. Unless you’re looking for a few hour stay.... honestly not even worth it for a few hours. Hands down worst place I’ve even been.
Wish I could put zero star. The room had alot of roaches and there was mould in the ceiling. They refused to refund us our money.
Great place to stay! Staff is always friendly. Bena at the front desk is always helpful and very nice. I will definitely stay here again. Rooms are clean.

Excellent location from local attractions, clean rooms, outgoing staff, home away from home during my long work weeks. Looks like new ownership and a lot of upgrades. 😀
The hotel os so bed.Dont go it.the room is snokey and dirty.The machine doesnt work either.The environment is so unsafe.A lot of dangerous people near it.I say one more time.Dont go it!!!!!!!

Had a great stay. Walmart, mcdonald, webdy, sonic, deli....you name it are all around. Comfortable and clean beds.
I wish they had clean carpeting, a better appearance, and more electrical outlets.

Unpleasant place is not suitable for accommodation with children, more than a hotel it is a dirty hostel with bad smells from the entrance of the building rooms in poor condition. If you get to that place by mistake, ask to see the rooms first so you dont lose your money because they first make you pay and then tell you there is no refund, they are cheeky thats why they put the notice of no refund 🤬
Check in was a breeze, front desk staff were very attentive, organized and kind. Rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable.
Real thieves I went with my family the room very salty bad smells caused carpet and unfortunately I paid before looking at the room very unpleasant my child has asthma and explained the reason why can not stay then finally o left right away, they did not return the money because according to the policy so if ever someone falls by mistake in this place be careful ask to see the room before paying I do not recommend it at all

2022-06-19My friends booked a double room for last night, intending for four adults to sleep in a room with two double beds. An extremely normal, reasonable expectation. They were threatened by the front desk employee who told them that this is not allowed and forced two of them to leave, and even after they made those arrangements to come back to my house, the employee continued to be nasty and tell them if four adults stay in the room “it will be a problem”. This was disgusting, rude, and absolutely uncalled for. Do not book a room here. My friend didn’t even get to stay in the room she booked for this trip months ago.

2021-09-01We were looking for a budget friendly hotel in the garden city area and found the Coliseum Inn and decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised, the staff went out of their way to make sure everything was in order and they had clean and comfy rooms. The WiFi was awesome and we had no issues at all. Don’t know why there are so many bad reviews. We had a great time and will definitely come back again.

2021-08-20My friends and I stayed at the Coliseum Inn to attend an event at Eisenhower Park. The hotel was literally right across the street from the entrance to the park. Great location, close to nearby restaurants and shops. The staff was very friendly and courteous and housekeeping did a great job cleaning the room and making sure everything was in order. Hope to come back again the next time we’re in Garden City and we’re definitely stayed at the Coliseum Inn

Rooms are always neat and clean. nice and peaceful environment, Internet, hot water, all services were awesome, Great price rate for all services, I would definitely be recommended anyone to this hotel. Next time I will again stay in this hotel.

2021-11-21The government is paying them to house homeless people. There are so many trashy people walking in and out of this place. Down the street on Merrick ave there is a family selling churros, flowers, bottled water along Hempstead Turnpike. They are probably staying at this “motel” homeless shelter.

2021-07-19I wouldnt recommend this hotel it was horrible, it was very creepy, had bedbugs, the bed was broken, had cockroaches, walls where broken, it very old. Doesnt deserve the price of $120.00 ill give 40 dollars to stay in there. But the people is pretty kind.

2021-12-07They just brought it two years ago and revamp it. I must applaud their effort in turning around a Motel that had run down over the years. Best wishes!
