One of the best experiences I’ve ever had! Workers are so nice and kind, every spot is fun and colourful, I went with my sister and we took lots of amazing photos! The macaroons, fummies and ice cream we had was very good, I will definitely recommend you to go there!!
First thing I Liked about the place was the complementary coat check they provided to all guest. Only posted a few pictures don’t wanna spoil it for other who are interested in going. To begin you pick up a little bar code card to scan and register your email. Some of the rooms have scanners so you can take pictures in front of their camera setup in room. The photos are automatically uploaded to the unique bar code of yours and sent to your email for you toSave or print out. Each room has it own little interactive experience. Take your time down rush through it. Some rooms have a snack or a souvenir for you to take with you. My daughters favorite rooms were the confetti room, headphones room, and ofCourse the ball pit room. The ball pit room is the center of attraction and gets crowded pretty fast. Overall good place to make memories with friends, family or couples. Most of the staff is friendly and greets you respectfully. In the ball pit room there is a slide you can go down. There are not rules posted about how to go down a slide. It sounds crazy right?!?! Rules to go down a slide! Staff yells at you saying can’t go down head first or only one person at a time. I think staff should be proactive and let guest know as they approach the slide on what is allowed instead of yelling at children orAdults.Color Factory Thank you for the experience. Hope different interactive rooms are added in the future.
Very fun and immersive experience! I didnt know what to expect going in, and by large, the experience exceeded expectations. Although little pricey, I think this is something everyone should experience at least once. You also get lots of treats and great places to click pictures .I will definitely recommend this factory. Great for date nights!
I can say that my expectations were normal and when I finished I ended up wanting to start the tour again. Excellent service, very dynamic attraction, all very beautiful and clean. I can say that me and my partner connect with our inner child, we laugh so much! The beautiful images are great, a tremendous experience that I recommend to everyone.
We went here on a whim and was it ever worth it! There aren’t too many spots for adults to “play” but that’s exactly what we did here and we had a blast going from room to room! I love how they have cameras set up so you don’t even need your own camera. Also, we didn’t know this, but there are treats throughout the exhibit! This was definitely an enjoyable way to spend an hour or so - highly recommend!
Such a great place to visit when in NY! so many interactive entertainment pieces, and was so interesting to walk around! You do have to buy tickets in advance, however I was able to snag some the day before I visited. Pro tip: clear your photo storage beforehand, youll need it!
We were visiting NYC, and my daughter says, lets check out this place. Never heard of it, and didnt know what to expect. We entered, and was pleasantly surprised. The different rooms, had us wondering, what was next. A definite if you have kids. And for the kid in us.
We debated going here because we worried it was overpriced- It was SO worth it!!! When you buy your tickets you pay not only for the experience but it also includes little goodies you get as you pass through, and professional-quality photos that are emailed to you. Such a fun experience and great for families, a date, or anyone really! We had a blast and I definitely recommend this experience!ALSO while we were there we frequently saw staff members disinfecting surfaces and interactive displays, as well as cleaning the restrooms. The staff was very friendly and definitely contributed to the fun environment.
Cool place. Definitely more for adults or older kids. Best part is they take your digital pictures in most of the rooms for free. Ticket isnt cheap is 40$ per person. Highly recommend to wait for friendship week in end of July where you can bring one person free with every ticket. Oh BTW there are free snacks or ice cream given in every room.
Our experience at Color Factory was excellent from start to finish. Every small detail has been thought through here. From the coat check at the beginning, to never needing to take your own pictures. The staff were kind and seemed to enjoy working there. The sweet treats and surprises are fabulous and there is nothing left out!! I am an event planner for a living so I mean it when I say Color Factory is thoughtful, immersive, and fabulous. A must-go if you’re in NYC! And they clean the ball pit!!!! There is signage about it. Don’t be turned off because of germs here! Go go go!
Meh experience. Great, friendly staff, but a very underwhelming experience. Just a large, overpriced art installment with no learning experiences. Best thing of our visit was the phone/single-line drawing experience. I actually connected with my partner on it, but everything else is just an IG influencers wet dream. Thought the follow-the-path quiz would lead to something more insightful, but once you get your color and photo taken in your color, its never brought up again. Lots of young, wannabe IG models who have no idea what theyre doing and just block your way or ruin the experience further. Loved the macaroons at the entrance, but the next treat stop is really weird. As I said before, the one-line drawing/phone is a great experience, but then they give you a candy pairing based on your colors. To explain, you sit at a black phone, your partner sits a white phone. There are multiple color pairings at the phone portion. Then they say you must pick the candies that pair with your colors, when we didnt even choose the colors. They sat us there. Just seems like a try-hard experience with no direction. The automatic pictures were high quality and great for social media, but thats all it is. A shallow experience for purely social media purposes.
I loved everything about this place. It is so well thought out.The small gifts throughout the experience were delightful and considerate. The colors were mesmerizing but very organized and not haphazard or just thrown around. The personal QR code and strategically placed cameras to capture your visit is unlike anything Ive ever seen. I got my pictures immediately and couldnt be happier. It was one of those experiences you cant help but tell your friends about and totally worth the trip.
Great place to take kids or even go for a date. There were various cute activities in different rooms that you walk through. The ball pit is the best for insta worthy pics but there were a few others that offered a fun surprise. I especially enjoyed the activity where you listen to instructions for drawing while looking thorough a glass panel at whoever you came in to the exhibit with. The option to also pick a keepsake from an assortment of choices was fun as well.
What a wonderful and fun experience for kids and adults. We had sooo much very worth the visit. Complimentary pictures to our emails so we can all be in the pics+ complimentary small gifts all around the tour wonderful and very enjoyable. Staff is friendly. Highly recommend.
We had a lot of fun!A very colorful and beautiful place for pictures.Cute content. And the most worthwhile thing there is the huge ball pool that is perfect for both adults and children. There is a name full of charming little gifts. We had a little problem with the photos and got fast and excellent service. Highly recommended.
I thought this place was overhyped when we made our reservation but I was wrong. This is a super fun place for a science nerd like me and it was just like extremely fun and colorful and you get so much free stuff like gelato and mochi ice cream and a souvenir that it just feels super worth for the entrance fee. The staff seem to have fun as well and the ball pit is great (sanitized too). The best part are the free high quality photos really and I have so many I want to keep!
My 14 yr old daughter wanted to visit the Color Factory SO bad....I was NOT excited to go, thinking it was just a bunch of rooms with different colors in them.Boy was I WAY off! This place was SO cool! Interactive in EVERY room and they even give cool goodies in many rooms too.Definitely fun for ANY age! Worth the money (I wasnt too excited about that fee for sure) and you can usually find a coupon code by googling it..... I scored 30% off by doing so. 😊
The color factory is an amazing immersive experience for adults and children alike. The employees are wonderful and attentive. We were pleased with how thorough the team was with covid precautions. My kids said that this was their favorite part of their weekend in the city and i have to agree.
After visiting the Color Factory, I feel more than good - I feel great! It is also fun and interactive, just like any other art exhibition, except that this is about all colors, like a rainbow. It also has a merch store inside as well, which I find interesting. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wishes to enjoy the fun and have a good time.P.S. It feels good to be fully vaccinated.
One of the best places I visited in NYC! It’s very interactive. I had no problem with wait time and they space out tickets so that it doesn’t get crowded. They sanitize everything and keep it clean. Also liked the little treats they hand out in the rooms. Be sure to buy tickets in advance!
I’ve been to many immersive experiences and my favorite is Color Factory. The place instantly screamed JOY and FUN. We travelled from room to room, experiencing color stories in unique, unexpected ways. We were invited to follow our curiosity, discover and play. For more about our visit, check out my Joy et Joie.
Although a little pricey, I think this is something everyone should experience at least once. Great for date nights! You arent rushed through so make sure to take your time and enjoy each section! Definitely a memorable experience. The staff was friendly and the styling of the experience is definitely unique.
We nearly spent 3 hours here admiring all the art it was simple beautiful. The building architecture and amusing pieces captured my eyes. The stimulus was surreal. I will definitely come again as I didnt get an opportunity to see the mirror room. Great place to visit.
Color Factory is a fun place to go as a family or couple! Lots of treats, places to take photos, and get souvenirs from each level/room! Youll leave this place with more than you expect and have a nice sweet treat to enjoy at the end. It cost $40/person but I feel its worth it! Make sure to take a photo at the blue ball pit - the lighting makes the photos turn out really nice ✨
This is an amazing experience, something that everyone should take the pleasure in at least once. You get to explore yourself and the world of color in a way you never expected. Plus they give you snacks throughout the whole place who doesn’t love snacks I highly recommend taking a visit!!
Color Factory was amazing. It is a bit pricey but totally worth it. The employees are really kind and it is super easy to go there alone as they have photo stations that you can use for free and that sends your pictures to your email. You also get plenty of treats and goodies besides all those nice pictures. Definitely something for every age group in my opinion.
This place was a highlight of our new york trip. its interactive, colorful, and provides great photo opportunities. the wait wasnt too bad on a thursday afternoon (after seeing the line for the museum of ice cream im glad we went with this place instead). its good for pairs, they have activities that are specifically made for two people. the only sour spot was the screaming kid in front of us, but we waited it out in one of the rooms until he moved on. one neat thing is that they give you a card to use on photo booths and then you get digital copies of your photos at the end. highly recommend.
It was about $40-50 a person here after all of the fees. Theres probably 8-10 exhibits you can go through and theyre all fun in their own ways if you go with friends. Its a good experience to have if youre with somebody. Very cool first date spot.It might not be as fun to go by yourself, just saying. But there are stations where you can get some pretty decent pictures in if you were to go alone.
Excellent! Fun for both tourists and native New Yorkers. A wide variety of fun activities and treats/gifts. The attractions are gimmicky, but certainly not in a bad way.It was an overall fun experience and I would recommend it for anyone, adults and children alike. It might be better to go with a friend though, because some activities might be awkward with strangers. You will have to book a ticket in advance as they do not sell at the door and tickets sell out fast. The only things I disliked were the expensive ticket price and the relatively long wait time. It was worth it though.
I love this place! It was such fun I went with friends and a place for kids and adults to explore and interact! The ice cream they give you after the ball pit was so amazing and def a good ending on the experience. If your photogenetic this is place is for you!!!! kid friendly as well
Best experience we had as a family. We were there on a weekend but since it was raining outside it was more busy. (At least that’s how I felt). It didn’t hinder the experience though. The big ball pit room needs air conditioning or something. It was extremely humid. Other than that absolutely loved it. The colors did wonders for my daughter an I.
Great place to go with a group of friends or kids. I’m sure both adults and kids would enjoy every part of the Color Factory. It costs $38 but, they kept giving us snack/sweets and trinkets entire time 😆 Also, I really liked their photo booth system. In the beginning, you register a card with your email address. Whenever you find a photo booth, you tap a card and automatically they send a picture to your email (No additional cost!)These are the things they gave to us:- Welcome mochi ice cream.- Macaron- Pick your favorite color badge- candies- popcorns- a cup of ice cream- trinket (you can pick one from 5-6 selections)
This place is A M A Z I N G. Literally amazing. The whole experience is worth every dollar. This place makes you actually HAPPY while you are going through the rooms. My favorite room is the balls room, very fun experience in there. The staff is dressed in colored jumpsuits and that is actually fabulous, very comforting for the eyes. They are very friendly and actually love what they are doing. They also give you a lot of treats after almost every room you go through. The place is simply fantastic for kids and adults. You get guided through each room by a staff member and they make sure you are enjoying your time. You take a lot of free pics with their built-in camera with just a scan of your card. I love the concept overall. It is very enjoyable place and it refreshes your energy.
Had a good time, I thought it was a very cool experience. This is very much an Instagram opportunity though so I am a bit confused by the museum label.Took a star off as I felt the place was pretty dirty and could have used better sanitation (especially during times like these).
We went there in summer of 2019 and it was so much fun!! Great place, it’s definitely worth the money. We had a great time, took amazing pictures and got little treats during the whole experience. Every room was unique and we weren’t bored for a second.Highly recommended!!
This place in New York is magical! @colorfactoryco is a mind blowing arts and visual exhibit and we got a chance to experience it on the weekend. Would you like to visit here? It has multiple rooms which are art projects by many big artists and each one is different with its unique colorful activities
Loved this!! The photo ideas were sooo much fun and so interactive especially when your holidaying as a couple and can barely get photos together other than selfies. I loved all the concepts from drawing to dance party and the secret rooms. The absolute highlight of our holiday
This was an INCREDIBLE experience, but I feel compelled to leave this review because we were charged an additional $10 because we purchased the tix on our phones upon arrival. While I understand they want ppl to purchase tickets in advance, being unsure what time youll arrive prevents that from being the most convenient option. Charging an extra $5 per ticket for that reason is absurd and disappointing. We continued with the experience and it was so much fun, however this definitely put a damper on the beginning of the event. I urge management to reconsider, feels like a cash grab unnecessarily.
The color factory is a building with about 10 different activities all of whom have something to do with color. There is a room with a giant ball pit for both children and adults. Another room is a non stop confetti drop. These two rooms were great for both children and adults. Others, such as a room where you sit across from other people and draw their face, seems to be only for adults. The subway is nearby and there is parking lots nearby as well. The price is a lot but in line with similar places in Manhattan. Its fun and recommended.
Visiting NYC with my 12 year old niece and she asked to go to Color Factory. She had fun but the one thing that SHE stated and I agreed with is that they should provide little bags to put the stuff they give you in the different rooms. How is one supposed to navigate the rooms with all these little knick knacks in your hands. I had to hold all her stuff so she could be free to do whatever she wanted in the room. I actually ended up trashing some of my items because I didn’t have anywhere to put them. At the end I offered that suggestion to the host and she indicated they used have little bags but discontinued them… Not very logical to me. If you are providing a bunch of little items give people some place to put them. Other than that it’s a fun place and I love the fact that the pictures are emailed to you instead of charging people in addition to the admission cost.
We had a lot of fun there. However, we wanted to continue our adventure so we tried to follow the neighborhood map that is shown in the ball pit area and on the website. We spend time walking to some of the locations to find that two of the stores had asked for new inventory that hadn’t be received and a bench who’s special phone number is no longer connected. It was a waste of time. I wish they had let us know the neighborhood tour was not up to date so we didn’t waste the time walking around. Maybe just cover it up in the ball pit area or get everything back up and running. Left us a little disappointed.
BUYER BEWARE!!Although I had an extremely enjoyable time at the Color Factory NYC, I am now involved in a credit card dispute with them following my visit.I made a purchase of $115.41 in the gift shop during my visit and the Color Factory NYC charged me twice for my gift shop purchase (not to be confused with the $176.70 I spent on four tickets). That means I have $407.52 total in charges from the Color Factory, instead of $292.11 - which is already a significant amount of money to pay for a few hours. The phone number for the Color Factory NYC does not have any option to speak with a person and disconnects you after you listen to their menu. It instead directs you to fill out a web form on their website for any questions, which I did to ask for one of my two $115.41 charges to be refunded. I attached a snapshot of my multiple charges received on my statement. The Color Factory customer service wrote back: “We have checked our system and we only have one charge in the system for you for that day. We suggest contacting your back to dispute the charge.”Since I was indeed charged twice, I had to open a claim with my credit card to fight the charge. Please be careful when dealing with this vendor since this is very shady and really affected what I initially thought was a great experience.
If you make a reservation be prepared to stand on line outside. Even thought you pick a spot for that time, there are several other groups with the same time. Average wait time was 30-40 mins on top of your scheduled time. Price was not worth it. It was like we where rushed, staff was whack as far as their excitement. Overall the place inside was nice.
I paid around $45 per person and god it was an amazing experience. They don’t just give you goodies inside but also outside. I went to around 19 different rooms inside the color factory, each one as interesting.I went during covid so the policy is to always wear masks even during pictures, I believe they have a limit to how many people can be there at one time. We did have some photo bombs because of the mask but it was worth the money. You can still click pictures, they also issue you a card that you can scan and get your pictures on email. They give you an orientation in the beginning, and a gift at the end. My favorite place was the last room with blue balls pool.If you are going in a group, make sure to check out each room, experience all the activities and click great pictures. The food they give is in packets now, you can’t eat inside but they give you a bag to take it out. I mean honestly the packets are tiny but I like the effort. My personal recommendation would be to wear something nice, I went casual but people were all dressed and check out their page for picture inspo.Might go back without the mask some day!
Spent about two hours throughout the whole visit :) Snacks were given out throughout the museum. Every room is beautiful and you can interact with a lot of the things in each room. Lots of helpful staff around. Most convenient thing is that they have a coat and bag station so you don’t have to carry your bags with you. It makes for a much better experience.
This exhibit has been the prettiest one that Ive ever been to. The colors are extremely appealing along with tasty treats to consume that make the experience sweeter. The souvenirs that they also provide are adorable and are a keeper, my favorite being the compliment cards. The activities were very entertaining, with each room being a pleasant surprise. I would recommend this to anyone, the price is worth this beautiful exhibit.
A very satisfying and memorable experience! Myriad of activities exploring depths and nuances of color. Most recommended to go with a group of good friends who operate on similar wave length and certainly take your own time to explore each well designed exhibits with happy mood. Many treats were given along the way. We still remember the great times vividly weeks later.
I thoroughly enjoyed the color factory. Its an interactive art exhibit, and it is quite colorful, indeed. They give snacks throughout like mochi ice cream at the beginning, macaroons after the intro video, drinks halfway through and a mystery snack at the end of the self-guided tour. They let you know that you can take your time throughout the experience which is good because most people enjoy the opportunity to take one of a kind pictures. This is a great activity for a date or a day out with family. Youll never forget your time here!
Definitely a worthy experience. Be prepared to wait outside. I suggest arriving 15-20 minutes earlier. The art installation is fantastic with friends, family or partner. Be prepared to take plenty of Instagramable pics and they even take photos for you to share on social media.
Went in January 2019. Great date spot or outing with a little one. Not sure how much has been updated and changed since COVID, but from my experience it was awesome! Loved that you can just go through each exhibit(?) and really be present (#mindfulness) because they have designated photo 📸 spots. You’ll see when you get there ;)
Its Manhattan so overpriced. U walk thru activities for bout 20-30 min, cant go back once u go thru small rooms with simple activities like coloring, confetti falling room, best part is the ball pit although my kids were in it for like 3 min cause of static plastic balls are covered with loose hairs, its ok specially in a cold day cause what else can u do in a cold day In the city.
Fun experience! There are many activities, but the first activity is a paired activity (so you might want to go with a friend/partner). From a user experience point of view, there are still subtle things that needs to be reconsidered. Overall good experience but could be better!
The very best part of the color factory was the adult sized ball pit...hadnt been in one since I was like 10 years old, so much fun!Its very expensive and Im not sure why. They claim 16 different rooms/activities but one of them was a take a color button off the wall and another was kick a balloon around a room. Many of the rooms were boring. One room was downright weird - close your eyes and draw the other person in a room setup like we were in prison talking through one of those phones. Very strange.Another thing that annoyed us is that we have dietary requirements and no one could give us clarity. They tried to accommodate us but it was to no avail. We left without having a single bite. Sad because there were three separate sections for us to try but we couldnt.Overall - very costly for a ball pit.
Fun experience, will only go once though. Special sweet treats on the way. Bright and helpful staff along the way. Only negative was the pit balls had a smell and there was only two toilets upstairs which wasn’t enough for the amount of people waiting. Also worked well with the New York pass, no reservation required although best to visit weekday with this.
Fun place for an activity with teammates or friends. Its smaller than we thought so you dont need a lot of time to go through the entire thing.Their photo booths are not very good quality and the lighting isnt the best in most places (for photos).Youll have good memories, cool photos and some souvenirs at the end of it.
We visited the Color Factory in December 2019 because wed seen it online on Instagram and it looked super cool. We werent quite sure what to expect since the website is a little vague about what all youll experience but we knew to expect great photo ops. We got that and more. As soon as we arrived (you have to get tickets ahead of time and then youre given an entrance / admission time) we were given a Mochi ice cream treat and allowed to check our backpacks and coats for free. Within about ten minutes we were then lined up and taken through an orientation by one of the staff. After that we went into the first of 16 rooms and had another snack, a macaroon. There were all kinds of activities in each room. We drew, danced, took a quiz, looked at plastic barf and even jumped in a ball pit. One other cool feature is the cameras on a timer in there that, if you register, automatically send you an email with your photo. I thought it was a little expensive for what you get but it was cool and we had a lot of fun so were giving it five stars. Wed like to check out the one in Houston.
Had a lot of fun. Fun and interactive and great for the whole family and love that you get free treats and snacks along the way. Employees are very friendly and everything is done smoothly and there were no issues. Love that little gelato you get after the ball pit. That was my favorite room. Oh, to be a kid again!
Quite disappointed by how basic it is.... especially given the cost. There is one cool exhibit where the rooms wall art changed dramatically as the color of the light in the room changed, but the rest lacks depth/imagination, and only really exists to snap selfies. Nothing wrong with selfies, but pretty weak as the main focus of an exhibit.
Color Factory is so much fun! I had no idea what to expect, as the descriptions Ive found online were very vague. It was a colorful, fun and surprising visit. Our group was made up of teens, 40s and 50s. We all had a wonderful time. There are photo opportunities, treats and surprises along the way. Dont miss the sparkly toilet :) The restroom was very clean.
Really cool experience. There’s over 10 different rooms with every room being a different thing to enjoy - plenty of food inclusions - macaroons, gelato, mochi ice cream, soda, etc. They really try to make each room a unique experience. Really enjoyed the partner activity, the ball pit, and they take the pictures for you! Just scan your card (given to you) at each of the stations and it’ll count down from 5. Only difficult part can sometimes be locating the camera.
Wow - who could say anything bad about this place! We had a blast! Adults get an opportunity to feel like a kid again. Fun rooms in different colors with neat activities. What person hasn’t wanted to play in a giant ball pit! Pretty much every room also includes some type of snack or sweet included.
A very fun, highly interactive and overall, beautiful experience. Many art exhibitions in one building, all themed around the use of colour. There are complementary sweet treats and souvenirs to take home as you explore and you will leave feeling happy and pleased with the money spent to visit a unique and family friendly attraction.
Color Factory should be at the top of your list if you are visiting NYC. This interactive museum is great for families but even more awesome for adults. Throughout the space there are stations of treats including macaroons and ice cream. The best part of the museum is the photo cards that allow you to have your picture taken by photo booths. You simply scan the card and pose for the camera and the photos are sent to your email. It’s pretty awesome and allows you to enjoy the museum without being distracted by your phone.
I was looking for interactive art museums in NYC and stumbled upon this one.My husband and I came with three of our friends and had a blast. There are a handful of different color themed rooms (maybe 10?). They have snacks throughout including mochi ice cream, macarons, raspberry soda, gelato, and gummies. The rooms are all interactive and are a lot of fun. They also give you a card with a qr code to scan in the different rooms to take pictures of your group. They then email you the pictures. The pictures are pretty low quality, but it was still fun.At the end, they give you a map of different color themed activities throughout Manhattan.Make sure to get tickets in advance because theyre usually sold out day of (we got ours a few weeks ahead of time).Im really glad we came here and would definitely recommend it.
This exhibit was amazing!!! I went by myself and I had so much fun. Theres photobooths set up in most of the exhibits and captures your photos for you and it gets sent straight to your email. Definitely spent waaay too much time in the ball pit. Had such a fun time! Must visit!
Definitely an interesting and fun place to go for the experience. There is quite a bit of wait when it comes to going it to the exhibit, especially on a weekend. However, you’re planning on going for the photo opportunities it’s overhyped. There are many interesting photo opportunities and keep in mind that there are a lot of young children there with their parents which makes it a little difficult to take your time to get a perfect shot. But with that being said, you do get a few free snack throughout the exhibit as well as free little knickknacks which makes the ticket price worth it.
This is an awesomely amazing place! I considered bringing my big camera however, after reading other reviews I didnt. They have ample cameras for all you needs and it works out. The colors and rooms were vibrant. You get treats and not just one kind. Plus a surprise at the end. I highly recommend it.
Cool and fun colorful experience!!! Adults and the kids will love this place. Its a one time place to visit. You can spend as much time as you want here. There are many activities to do here. They have freebies like mochi and macaroons. The last room is the best of all and can spend hours there. You must go for yourself to see it!!!
Our visit to The Color Factory was a total blast! Lots of complimentary treats, free coat check, fun interactive room, and more. Before you start you register your email and they give you a photo card so you wont have to take selfies the entire time (unless you want to).
Such a fun interactive experience! I was pleasantly surprised with this colorful art exhibit - $40 was steep for me but I enjoyed all the rooms and felt like a kid again. Only a couple things I didn’t like - licorice candy + ball pit (cuz I didn’t want to risk getting HFM disease).
It was SUCH a fun time visiting color factory ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 The ticket price might come off pricey, yet I believe they did a great job creating a wholesome experience full of characters, senses, laughters, and play! I thought it was worth the trip and price. Also, I love different factoid related to the city of New York, colors, and artists behind each creation. Also all the treats that come with each experience. Yum! 🍭🍬🍨The staff members were helpful and attentive, and the setup of taking and loading pictures via card to my email was well programmed. Can’t wait to see how the same place will transform into a different experience. 🥰 Lastly, it’s so close to Soho full of great shops and restaurants so you can make a full day hanging out in the area.
Had fun at this colorful museum. It’s very interactive. The treats complemented each room. I liked the selfie automatic photo machines. The only thing I didn’t like was the stink of the ball pit room. I resisted the urge to get in and just stared at it. They really need to get some Febreeze.
A pretty interesting experience at this unique venue. It provides a number of differently themed rooms where you can play games, dance, eat, drink, and experiment with sounds. I wont get into much detail but suffice it to say that the rooms are well designed and indeed very colorful and fun. The only downside is that the famous color pool of balls smells like body odor probably due to infrequent or insufficient cleaning of the balls/pool.
I had originally thought the place was over priced for .... colors. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was kind and helpful, making the experience much more pleasant. The museum was not one in which you would sit and ponder the meaning behind every piece because there was no meaning other than being colorful, but rather it is meant to create certain vibes while being interactive. It’s really fun and a must go to location when visiting New York.
This place is unbelievably beautiful and well thought out from design to giveaways. Walking in the door you’re greeted by the team and offered your first treat. Walking through the doors the tutorial makes your heart skip a beat. However, when it comes to cleanliness this place is a bacteria heaven. We took our shoes off and jumped into a ball pit this wasn’t alarming to me straight away. It wasn’t until the smell started to blaze our nostrils. Then after taking a few photos and noticing hair everywhere on every ball. Made me worry about my son and my health. I addressed this to the staff and they seemed very interested in my thoughts and sent a manager over to speak with me. I would have enjoyed this a lot better if cleanliness was a top priority for the company.
This exhibit is the best experience I’ve ever had since COVID-19 has started, i had plan to come for my birthday but I came late, I thought that was it I lost my money but hey guest what lol they rescheduled it for me I was so hype when I read my email saying here your ticket hope you enjoy it mannn I kiss my mother twice and she was happy for me too. I am so happy that I had the chance to go and I sure did bop around each of my favorite room like a cherry in a blender plus they have save the last for the best you have free pictures taken of you for free plus you get those pictures just in a second through your email can you believe that we had a lot of fun I wouldn’t mind come again with more friend plus I definitely recommend that place to everyone. New adventure create the best memory with friend/ family/ partners.
The color museum was an unexpected surprise. You will first be greeted with ice-cream, followed by a intro to color video. Then you will register and have a complimentary macaroon. Every single session ended with some type of treat. You are also provided with a card that activates that photo booths around the facility and those fotos are automatically sent to you at no extra cost. This way you can enjoy the color museum to the fullest. The price may be a little steep for a NYC museum, however, the experience is worth it.#color #nyc #museum #photography #Surprise
The entrance pass is not very cheap but the experience is fun and includes some appetizers. While you wait to get in you are served with a Japanese ice cream. During the entire tour you will receive some other options of appetizers. The place is very colorful allowing you to take amazing and vivid photos. The place also has some cameras to take pictures with them . You just need to slide your input card. These photos are free and you recieve on your email one day after your visit.
The Color Factory was the perfect activity for a rainy day. They carefully regulate how many people enter at a time. Even so we spent a good bit of time waiting rather than really enjoying the experiences. The best part was the little snacks and surprises throughout the rooms. It was definitely worth going. Make sure that you reserve your tickets ahead of time.
Took about an hour to go through the exhibit. Lots of fun extras are included- like treats and giveaways which was a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend wearing socks for the ball pit:). Lesson learned. Have fun! Also- where else in NYC do they have a glitter toilet seat?
Color factory explores a lot of ideas for what, on the surface, seems like just another collection of experience rooms. Sure you could go through and squeeze this for all its Instagram juice, but youd be missing a big part of the experience. And while its photo ops are great, there are places that do that aspect better, such as the Wndr museum, but its Color Factories smart, multisensory and philosophical/art museum approach that stands apart. Almost every room has a collaboration with an artist who shapes the idea for the room and explores it in some fashion. In some cases it misses, such as the room with inflated balloons with wishes written on them and fans that blow them, the idea is just not executed in an interesting fashion, though it still makes a great photo op. Most times though if you take the time to engage with the idea, the room becomes that much richer. And speaking of photo ops , they use a card tap system to automatically take your picture and email it to you, a nice addition that frees you from having to take pictures yourself, though its advisable to use your own camera as there will be quite a bit to take pictures of. Your never rushed, and are allowed to take as much time in all but one room, though you cant head back into any room. They use themed treats that are as beautiful to look at as they are to eat and just as colorful. These arent just random food items either but treats from some great NY institutions such as Il Labrotorio del Gelato, and Mille Feuille bakery, its about $10 worth of treats you get. Thats the thing about color factory, they dont skimp and do everything with quality and care. For example your given a little artist designed souvenir at the end to choose from at no additional cost.(I picked a beautiful enamel pin, though there was a great keychain among other things) One of the first experiencs requires you to take your partner and sit across from them and look into one anothers eyes while doing a non visual continuous line drawing, a very intimate experience actually. The staff is fantastic, and that ball pit, while I know just a ball pit, really does make you feel like a kid as you dive into it with no inhibitions. Just thinking of that room brings to mind that relaxing shade of blue and is quite calming. In the end Color Factory is what MoMA would do if it did an experience, its far less about color than it is about what emotions and ideas color signifies. Oh and as you leave your given a map with installations throughout the city for you to further engage with, just another exaxmple of how well thought out this is.
Went into this not knowing what to expect but we had a blast. You go through a bunch of color immersion rooms that all have a nyc story tied into them .. there’s photo stations set up along the way to Sanp as many pics as you want. Enjoy lots of sugary treats as you go.
We went to the Color Factory to celebrate my son’s 5th birthday. We invited his friends from school. Even though we were a big group the Staff made it easy for us and assured we had a great experience through. From doing reservations, to checking in and letting us use the exhibition without any problems or restrictions. The staff was attentive and willing to help us in order to have a great time and lots is fun. Thank you. I am planning on going back very soon.
- NOT FOR KIDS < 10yrs.- Be prepared to maximise your sugar quota for the week- Have your belongings stored. You’ll only need a camera at most. *There are multiple perfect instagram opportunities here!I had a toddler in my group that ruined the atmosphere and the opportunity for his parents. Thank goodness I was able to move ahead of them after the first few exhibits.Lots of sweet treat were given out along the way at exhibits. Each visitor is limited to only 1 serving. There are multiple photo stops along the way, but it’s best to bring your own camera along as the photo ops are only in designated spots.
I loved the overall experience! My favorites part was losing my wallet in the ball pit and of course it was a light grey. Very close in color to the ones in the ball pit. Two of the nicest workers ever helped me find my wallet. I don’t know if the workers read these reviews but if they do I would love to extend a Venmo or cash reward to the gentlemen that found my wallet ! Because of this worker I am able to catch my flight for the next day and for that I am grateful ! Thank you to color works for an amazing hands on experience 😂.
I took my significant other and two teenagers here and we all had a blast. They were busy, but they broke up the crowd very well and you werent left waiting too long. Each room was a new surprise to be explored and filled with picture taking opportunities. Wed definitely return.
Amazing fun experience for all age groups with lots of treats, friendly staff, and a whole ball pit. It’s definitely a must try if you wanna take your mind off of things. I totally loved the whole time I was there. We booked the tickets online 2 hours in advance and checking in took about 10 mins.
Had a blast at the Color Factory recently. My girlfriend and I went there while we were visiting NYC and it was well worth the price of admission. I found the staff to be very polite and helpful, and any time we had a question they had an answer for us. There are snacks and surprises throughout, it was such a positive experience and we were smiling the whole time. Yes, it is a very hip place, and there will be people trying to get a new profile picture for social media, but if just ignore them and enjoy all of the rooms!PS: Dont look to much in to it, just go and enjoy! The surprises of each room make it so much better!!!

2022-06-18We had a great time here. There were several different interactive areas, and tons of photo opportunities. The huge ball pit at the end was fun for both kids and adults. We bought tickets ahead of time which I would recommend. They let people in, in small groups, so it wasnt overly crowded, and the staff was great.

2022-01-31The color factory was so much fun! With different rooms expressing color through various ways, your friends or family will have a blast! We saw groups of adults as well as groups with young children: this would be fun for all ages. Themed snacks and various takeaways complete the already fantastic experience.

2022-06-04Arrived a little earlier than the scheduled time and was welcomed in without a problem nice friendly atmosphere photo opportunities in almost every room (digital copies included with your admission) each room was a vibrant display of colors and something neat to do. Drowned in the ball pit but it was worth it. Quick run about an hour to enjoy the whole thing would recommend it

2022-02-09It was so fun! What I will say, is that there wasn’t so many candies. The macaroons were great! But the ice cream was a very little amount, and you’re allowed only one, it was a fun activity, the head phones and the ball pool... But it wasn’t as big as I imagined, it did make me want to buy real ice cream after. But after all it was fun!

2022-05-03The Color Factory provides a unique and super fun experience for family and friends. I definitely recommend purchasing the tickets in advance, they have a no refund policy but if you happen to miss your time slot you can always reschedule. Staff members were all really friendly and helpful. It’s a one direction tour that you experience with lots of rooms each having their own little activity and/or treat. Prior to going I thought my favorite room would be the one with the ball pit but it turned out to be the confetti room. It was such a lovely experience and above everything they have selfie stations set up in most rooms (you don’t have to ask a staff to photograph your party!) Upon entering the first room, you are asked to set up a QR code and enter your email, at the conclusion of the tour the photo link will be emailed to you and you can download all photos free of charge. Really considerate of them!P.S.: the factory is right next door to a Trader Joe’s if you are interested :)

2022-07-05Fun way to immerse yourself in colors... Each room had different activities. Colorful sweet snacks were offered along the way. My kids had a lot of fun here. We made a day of The Museum of Ice Cream, followed by The Color Factory, followed by Artechhouse - all near each other. The ball pit at the end was definitely the best, most fun part of Color Factory.

2022-06-20I love this place. I came out so happy, the colors are used so well and you interact with each room. Great little treats, like a relaxing Willy Wonka of Uptown. Highly recommend this place. The ball room at the end is so fun. Throughout each room you get photos taken, then they email you the reel for free. So fun. Go to this!

2022-06-17Was a great time! It looked a bit pricey, but all of the exhibits ended up being really interesting and its a pretty easy way to spend an hour and change and still have a great time. All of the little snacks and gifts they give you throughout the exhibits are a really fun touch, and the ball pit is a must. They give you these QR codes at the very beginning that let you scan at certain checkpoints in order to get pictures taken. On the screens in the exhibit they look fine, but you get an online album link sent to you and all of the pictures look great there! Definitely even more highly recommended if you want to get some fun pictures.

2022-05-06This place in New York is magical! @colorfactoryco is a mind blowing arts and visual exhibit and we got a chance to experience it on the weekend. Would you like to visit here? It has multiple rooms which are art projects by many big artists and each one is different with its unique colorful activities
