🙌🏾 Nneka!!!! 🙌🏾I recently had my eyebrows done at this fine establishment. For starters, my initial consult via FaceTime was prompt and professional given our current climate. Needless to say, I was destined to book with Nneka.She is professional, knowledgeable, hospitable and personable. I was nervous as with any foreign process. Nneka’s environment and energy is serene. I was impressed by her ability to effortlessly ease my anxiety, while mastering the look I wanted to achieve.The process itself was 2.5-3 hours and worth it. She talked me through each phase and gave me valuable critique.I am in love with my brows. For stupendous service and achieving your desired brow look, stop at Color Lab NYC!
I had powder brows done with Nneka and I love them so much. She really knows how to customize them to your face and give you exactly what you want. She was very patient during the whole process and I felt comfortable the whole way through. #1 spot for brows in NYC! The massages on Sunday’s with Adrian are amazing too, best hands in NYC!
Kate was amazing and made my experience great. Henna Brows and Classic Lash install came out perfect!
I had a fantastic experience with Kate. She was professional, kind, and the salon was adorable and calm. I am eager for my brows to heal so I can see them after the process, but I can tell from the care and attention she put into her art that they will be great. Couldnt be happier with everything and I appreciate that Kate has been so responsive re: aftercare.
I am in love with my new brows. Kate did an amazing job. They are perfect and she was amazing and made me feel extremely comfortable. I would recommend her to anyone looking to get their eyebrows slayed by the best!
My technician Alexandra was so sweet and patient with me, not to mention she did a hell of a job. She does a mapping of your face so you can see what it will look like before she proceeds. The strokes look like natural hair and the shading is just enough. She also sent me home with everything I needed for the healing process. The place was spotless from reception to the working area. Very Covid friendly.The owner followed up with me the next day to make sure I was satisfied in every way. She also went over the healing process again. A+ service.
From the moment I booked they were super professional. Alexandra answered all of my questions and Nneka the owner was even responsive to emails when the receptionist Christine was unavailable. The fact that the owner was so hands on amazed me. They truly operate as a team and followed up even after services were rendered and paid for. I heard nothing but good things about this place but I was hesitant to let anybody do my brows since I’ve been going to the same person for over 15years. How I ended up here was due to the fact that my eyebrow lady left the shop I was going to, so it was time for me to try someplace else.I got to the salon a bit before 9 and my technician was there and ready for me, I had the best experience with Kate this morning. We had really good conversation and she made me feel comfortable and secure with my decision to try a new eyebrow place. Kate did an amazing job tinting and shaping my brows. Kate worked with the shape I already had and used the perfect tint color, I will be back in 2-3 weeks. I must say this has made my decision easier to move forward with microblading which I will get done once the summer is over.
Had my eyebrows threaded here and they came out good, but overpriced. But beware, you need to cancel something like 2 days in advance or they keep your money. Things happen, I was stuck at work and called to reschedule but they said they wouldnt reschedule my appointment and kept my money. Went back to check my confirmation and saw nothing about a 48 hour noticed. Oh well....
Nneka’s customer service, along with her expert knowledge on the services she provides is beyond exceptional! I went in for my initial Microblading appointment, and left with all the information I needed in order to take care of myself “post op”. I ended up needing a touch up a few weeks later, which wasn’t a huge surprise, since she thoroughly explained all the “could be’s” + “would be’s” during my first appointment. I would highly recommend the Color Lab + specifically Nneka, to anyone looking to indulge. My eyebrows are poppin, and since we’ll be wearing masks for god knows how long, that was really important to me! 10/10!Key things to note:She’s very kind and personable. Extremely knowledgeable, the space is very clean.

I waited a long time to find the right person who would listen to my needs and work with me to create a brow shape that I felt comfortable with since I do not wear much makeup day to day. Nneka spent this time with me and led me through this process with care. I came initially several years ago on the advice of several friends who had been to Color Lab so I felt I could trust it, and have since been back for the necessary touch ups. At this point I would not trust my brows to anyone else!
My brows are perfect. My Godsister and I got our ombré brows done together. It’s a professional environment and very inviting. Nneka and Alexandria are amazing artists and extremely knowledgeable. You will be very happy and will find any excuse to admire your brows in the mirror. ☺️
When I say I went from having NO brows to having wake up and go brows on my face is amazing. Nneka is amazing she really talks you through everything about the process. It was smooth and easy. I want to share my experience while at colorLab Nyc. So first I want to start by saying how patient they were with getting my appointment set up from start to finish it was all about me and that’s a plus, whenever I do business I pay attention to customer service and not ego. Now when I arrived Nneka greeted me very warm while sticking to the safety guidelines not to mention how clean the office was. When we sat and talked about the whole process it was explained in great detail especially after care. She made sure to ask what I wanted and explained all options for my ombré Brows which I must say are amazing. For me being a transgendered female it all about comfortability and that was amazing I was treated as a person. During the process we talked I felt like I knew her forever so much that it was painless. but again I was comfortable to trust her with my face and she beat expectations I mean she did her thing with my brows and this was the first appointment. When I was finished with the whole process I received a text message from her with all after care detailed instructions again along with cleaning, and maintenance material. My experience here at Colorlabnyc was just amazing! I did ombré brows with Nneka and she is such a professional and a master at her craft. She works with absolute precision and care. The appointment from start to finish was lengthy but it was very personalized and extremely thorough, and full attention is on you. She talks you through the whole process and answers all your questions. The time spent here for this process is all worth it. The best part is my finished brows! They look amazing and natural. I got Ombre brows from Nneka and it was a wonderful experience! She perfectly mapped my brows and checked in with me every step of the way to make sure I was happy with the process. Also, the Manhattan studio was beautiful and cozy with some great music playing in the background. Nneka is very kind and professional. I will definitely be going back in the future.
My experience at this establishment has been nothing less than wonderful. Nneka has provided me and my family with the true definition of amazing customer service. From booking my appointment to after care, Nneka has made me, my mother and grandmother feel comfortable enough to get microblading; an investment that took me two years of research. Do not hesitate to book an appointment with this establishment. I wish it didn’t take me so long to find this place or I would’ve booked sooner! Soooo I been looking to get my eyebrows done for over a year then Boom I found Nneka on Instagram at the Color Lab in Brooklyn!!!!! I watch and watched her page for months told my girl friend about her and found out they new each other. I said well damn let me go try her out and Babyyyy she blessed my skinny eyebrows… I love when I come across people who are totally into there craft she did a phenomenal job on these eyebrows. I also went back for my touch everything was nice and smooth and relaxing that I fell asleep multiple times. Lol!! Do I recommend her DEFINITELY!!!!!!!
It’s been almost a week since my first time getting combination ombre and strokes of microblading @ColorlabNYC and I could not be happier!I am a no fuss mommy to 3 who wanted to add glam to my zoom screen and Kate achieved the natural look I was seeking.Local in BK, black owned with professional staff like Kat on lashes and Kate on brows! 5 stars hands down...
The place was absolutely beautiful— from the cleanliness to the decor.. very warm inviting feel.Nneka’s energy was very welcoming. She was very detailed in explaining the process ( ombré powder brows) and made me feel very comfortable thru out the process. Needless to say - my eyebrows turned out AMAZING!!! Ok i just want to start by saying ,super professional and a very clean environment Kate worked on me and I got a combo of shading and blading and I was comfortable every step of the way .. Nneka Is so amazing I did the scalp Micropigmentation.At first I was nervous and a little embarrassed and she made me feel so comfortable. she explain every step. She showed me her equipment Which was helpful to settle me down. She somehow became my therapies during the session in which I felt no pain, In which I was a little concerned about in the beginning. I was so comfortable before I knew it I was done, The place is so beautiful and clean she is just amazing I wish I can give her more than 5 stars, I can’t wait for my touch up She did an amazing job.

Nneka is the BrowGod!! I was super nervous in getting microblading, and Nneka walked me through every step, made sure I was aware of the entire process as well as the aftercare. I rarely write reviews; I think I’ve only done this twice in my lifetime. But, this changes today.This place is incredible. From the moment you walk in, you feel at ease. The humidifier is on; it smells terrific, your mind and senses automatically gets put at ease.And, of course, the bathroom is right there and waiting for you to wash your hands. They’re not taking any chances with Covid. And as someone who works in healthcare, I thank them for this.They even offer you water. To avoid any issues, you get an email with all of your instructions the night before and a text message upon arrival to check-in.I hadn’t even met my brow artist (yes, that’s what they are… Artist *please pronounce it in French for full effect*), and I was excited!When I finally met Nneka, she was terrific. Aside from being skillful at reading your face, seeing the unseen, she’s also a great communicator. She listens to what you want, but she’s also honest. She advises a few things that might work better in your favor. She understands skin tone, skin type. She gets people!She then proceeded to give me “my look”. She meticulously draws what I’ve envisioned, and then she hands me the mirror, and voila. I fell in love!If you’ve forgotten how gorgeous you are, that mirror will remind you quickly. And if you’ve never realized how beautifully you are, you’ll discover it that day — in that mirror!If you haven’t noticed, this is just the prep. She had me in awe and in love with my brows during the consultation process. I visited Color Lab NYC for scalp micripigmentation in February 2020 twice (initial session and touch up) and I was truly amazed at the results. Nneka is professional, knowledgeable and personable. The level of service and care that she provides is extraordinary. Throughout both sessions, Nneka makes you feel as though youre catching up with a friend.After receiving superb service earlier this year, I recently went back for ombre brows. Nneka provided her professional opinion on what would suit my brow shape as I had existing microblading done by another individual. I am beyond happy with the results. I also love and appreciate that Nneka follows up to make sure you are healing properly. I also can not forget to mention the precautions Nneka has in place to ensure you are in a clean environment. Shes constantly disinfecting any and everything.If you are even considering getting microblading, ombre brows, scalp micripigmentation... you have found the BEST so look no further.
I had microblading in 2017 when the place was Browzing and I returned for the same service.However Nneka discussed the Ombré process during the teleconference and I have them and I’m in love!! Much better healing and the powder finish I really wanted!

Just in from a massage appt I had at Skinfatuated NYC/Color Lab. Self care Sundays are the best. My massage therapist Adrian, my as in I am claiming him as my person going forward. He provided such a great experience. A super pleasant and warm individual. Anyone that vibes off good energy will feel is genuineness. And on top of all of that he is a great massage therapist. Adrian provided me with a fantastic massage. He listened to my concerns and addressed them accordingly. So I left completely happy with my service. And with every intention on returning in the near future. It’s not easy finding a massage therapist you like so I’m thankful to have found him.

2022-02-08My first time getting micro blading and the experience was wonderful. Yliana did a fantastic job she explained everything to me in full detail before beginning. Definitely will be going back here again and will recommend anyone to go here. They get five stars from me. Actually planning to start doing my lashes here as well.

Nneka took the time to provide thorough education about the process and kept me informed during. I also liked that she asked if I liked the initial design and if I wanted to change anything about it before coloring. It truly felt like a collaboration and Im so glad I chose Color Lab NYC.

2021-08-13I always go to see Kate at Color Lab. She is THE BEST at everything for lashes and brows and MU application. I travel all the way from Queens just to see her.She knows exactly what she’s doing. I asked to have a natural brow and lash look and that is exactly what she gave me. I never used to get compliments on my brows or lashes but now I get them ALL. THE. TIME. and it’s definitely because of her expertise.I’m always coming out of Color Lab feeling like the hottest bisshhh out here.

2020-09-08What a great day when I found your shop on social media! I have had two services completed at Color Lab NYC and both have been great experiences. The facilities are clean and welcoming. The owner is kind, personable and knowledgeable. She even kept in touch with me while my eyebrows were going thru the healing process. Overall a wonderful experience. I look forward to returning to get my touch up! I had been contemplating getting ombre eyebrows for years. And I am so happy that I shared this experience at your shop! Highly recommended!

2021-09-08I didn’t receive a PMU service (although if I had the opportunity, I definitely would!) instead I was able to take a training provided by Nneka and OMG it was the best training I’ve taken. As a PMU artist, it is very important to continue education and know the right/ wrong things when it comes to this industry. I learned so much from her course and I feel like my own artistry has improved tremendously. 10/10 would recommend! Also Nneka is just amazing! Love that I will be able to reach out to her if I need anything!
