Booking was incorrect days. Front desk said they would not double charge me due to use not being there. After our stay I was still double charged. I contacted Choice and they said the manager would contact me. He never did and the problem is still not solved. Highly upset. Would not recommend unless you want to pay double for a room you werent even at.
Ice bucket was moldy. Beds were horribly uncomfortable. Staff unhelpful. Left room for a couple hours the first morning and came back to them jackhammering in a nearby room for hours with no notice to guests. I was booked for 4 days and checked out that day. No customer service at all. Emails sent to management. Call to corporate who escalated it and assigned case number and still no response.
Worst hotel ever. If I could give it less than 1 star, I would. I stayed there for a month and they did not clean my room at all. I had to repeatedly ask the front desk for towels. They also booked my room under someone elses name so I got no points. Front desk staff is rude and lazy. DO NOT STAY HERE
They said they had a room, drove there, they did not. Spent the night sleeping and my truck. Another person in my party was given a room key, they opened a door to see someone sleeping on the bed, already occupied. I understand there was extra demand because of a power outage in the area and mistakes still happen. But, yikes.
Positive: Location was great, breakfast was great. DIANA who runs the breakfast made the stay wonderful! She was so friendly. The bed was comfortable. Negative: The lobby was nice but thats about it. It rinds me of a collage dorm. The chair had stains, holes in the walls, vents were dirty.
Very very clean room good breakfast all day coffee nice front desk heat air conditioner temperature good at motel6 2 and hafl5month and i was sick my necwas grown 4compare motel 6 much much better you only paid may be couple dollars more than and breakfast cost 10 dollars already so even cheaper than motel6 very very very strong recommended 1000 Front st Comfort inn because I was stay motel 6 two and half month and they charged extra and never return money and very smell room room
Spend a few more dollars and stay elsewhere. The rate was $90 but felt more like $60 and 1 star quality hotel. We stayed in a room that was not updated. Everything about the room reminded me of 1970-1980 era. So if you are nostalgic for that decade stay here. Everything you touch, smell and see seemed old and dirty. The towels and sheets also did not smell clean. I wouldn’t be surprised if this place didn’t do laundry or change their linens in between guests in order to save money. I would NOT recommend this hotel.
When I walked in and saw how dirty the lobby was, I should have run. Floor was filthy, everything was covered with dust, even the check in counter! The hallways and elevators were dirty too. The room was worse. The TV wasnt working and the desk clerk had no clue, so I fixed it myself. The nightstand was sticky, so I cleaned that and ended up dusting the whole room. The floor hadnt been vacuumed. Pulled back the sheets and found hair in the bed. Crusty white stuff down the side. Gunk in all corners of the bathroom, and when I showered, the tub was peeling white flakes of plastic. The curtain was missing and there was only a shear, with lights blasting in all night, lit up the room like the sun was out. Had to hang up a blanket. Turned on the AC and started choking. Checked the filters and they were blanketed, I had to clean them in the sink. No way was I going to eat the breakfast, after all that, so I cant comment on that. Just overall very nasty!
Should have walked out when I saw the lobby. Dirty floors, even had food on them, dusty surfaces, including the check in counter. Dirty hallways and elevators, scuffed up walls, peeling wallpaper, poor patch and paint jobs. TV didnt work, desk clerk was clueless, fixed it myself. Floor wasnt vacuumed, hair on the sheets, half the curtain missing and only shears on the window, had to hang up a blanket. Crusty white stuff down the side of the bed, dust on everything, sticky nightstand. Turned on the AC and started choking, pulled out the filters and they were literally blanketed, hadnt been cleaned, ever. Cleaned them myself- nasty! Tub peeling plastic flakes while showering. I do not recommend, and will never stay again
Positive: Staff friendly, great breakfast, general clean and welcoming feel of rooms and lobby. Negative: While the rooms and outside were in good nick, some of the elevators and in-between areas (hallways, outside of doors) were a little shabby. But this was a minor issue.
Positive: The woman who was attending the breakfast service was the only glimmer of light in this whole experience. She should be running this hotel. She was useful, productive, friendly and keeping things clean, unlike anyone else on staff. Negative: YES. Check-in was chaotic, front desk complaining to me about other guests. Room had beds made, but WAS NOT clean. Dresser and desk had something sticky. Two towels only. Furniture damaged as if a small pet or rodent had chewed it. Never again!
After 15 hrs of driving we arrived & checked into a room that was filthy. There was feces on the wall in the bathroom & dead bugs on the bed. We were moved to another room that only slightly cleaner & had ants. Couldnt walk around bare foot the floors were not cleaned. There was what looked like vomit on the floor at the elevator entrance that was there all 5 days of our trip. The staff was nice for the most part. One short desk attendant was too lazy to get us an extra towel, we had 3 ppl & 2 towels, so he told me he was waiting for the owner to bring the key to the closet. After an hour I called & was told he was still waiting its he another 30 mins. We never got our towel. I had to unclog the sink, we couldnt wash our hands without the sink backing up and paint was peeling off in the tub. The location was great thats about it. Its been a while since I stayed at a comfort Inn & I wont be doing it again.
It’s never a good sign when the front desk staff speaks poorly about the hotel’s services.Management knew that move-in weekend for the university would be busy, yet the front desk staff, though new, were still completely untrained. I paid for a king suite, was placed in a double room, and only ended up in the right room after almost half an hour of arguing with the desk, showing them the reservation, and waiting for the manager to call and verify. I witnessed these arguments happen two more times because of the management and staff’s poor planning with room assignments. The room was somewhat dated and run down, with a poorly stocked kitchenette (no silverware, one plate), missing fixtures, cracked mirror, etc. The room had a pullout couch, king bed, and rollaway bed included for us, but pillows and bedding were lacking. The only pleasant part of this stay was the free breakfast, with a wide selection and a really sweet hostess.Maybe this hotel is better on a less busy weekend, but they know they’re close to a large college and advertise their proximity, so they should know to be prepared for a busy move in weekend.
Disgusting. Run, do not walk away from this hotel. Booked in course of road trip with the family. Got in at 11pm, exhausted. Just wanted a clean bed and a few hours sleep. Wasn’t looking for anything fancy. Front door (full width automatic slider) not working when we walked up. No sign. Kid just sitting on other side at desk with headphones, no attempt to help. Finally put bags down and pried the door open. Got a shrug when I mentioned it. Checked into room. Pulled down the covers (bed clearly made and rest of room in order) and there were food crumbs and flecks of dried dark brown material between the sheets. Pulled back kids covers, same thing. Packed up room, back to desk, given new room. “Do not disturb” sign on door. Back to desk: “are you sure this room is clean/unoccupied?” “Absolutely, that’s a clean room.” Back up to 4th floor. Nope. Hadn’t been touched since whoever last left it. Back to desk. Room #3 (last open room apparently) fortunately clean-ish and finally got to attempt to sleep around 1:30am. Got nothing more than a “sorry, we only work nights” from the staff. Should have just driven through the night.
This place was disgusting. Stayed there this past weekend for my daughters move in to college. The first experienece checking in was a fellow guest who came to the front desk to who had recently checked in to compalin her toilet was not working, the front desk person stated it was recently cleaned and worked, her statement was if it had been cleaned how did no one notice that the last guest had not flushed. Every red light was turning on for me. First of all the bathroom was dirty. We had no cold water in the shower. You think this may be good but if you turned the nozzle it was either, burning or scalding no in between. Showers were taken with a very hot uncomfortable drip. I stayed in room 201. The carpet was dirty and frayed from overuse. The towels were yellow from overuse. I luckily had brought towels with me as my husband and I were driving to a friends house after drop off. Thankfully it was only one night and I am in the process of cancelling my reservation with them for parents weekend. Please save your money and go elsewhere.
Just dont do it. We had to move rooms 3 times because every room was filthy. Drawers full of cans, boxes of cereal, moldy bread and the list goes on.The property manager refused to give us a refund and told us to go to another hotel. Its a holiday weekend, he knows the hotels are booked. He was incredibly unprofessional and rude.
Positive: The bed and pillows were so comfortable! Overall seemed clean enough. Negative: There was q crqck in the ceiling above our bed. There were clean clothes from a prior tenant in the dressers bottom drawer. The free breakfast consisted of microwave individual egg omelet from the store and a banana. A couple ants found in our room.
AwfulThe room had an awful smell to itThe room was very smallThe blankets and sheets and pillows were stainedThe bathroomThe bathtub was dirty and peeling the drain was clogged or something the water was going down very slowThen i when to use the washcloth that was folded and hanging and it looked as if someone used it to wipe their butt with Over charged my card and whenI called the manger wouldn’t even talk to me
The room was nice and clean, which is an essential start. Otherwise it was like staying in a decent hotel room from 2002. Nothing awful about it, but it definitely feels dated. The price was quite reasonable though, so no complaints as long as you know what youre getting.
There were computer problems when I arrived. I was asked to sit in the lobby until the computer was up. After about 30 minutes, I had to threaten to leave before the desk person would assign me a room. I had a reservation; the information would be available as soon as the computer system was running. I don’t understand why the desk person could not assign me a room in spite of the computer problem. It was very thoughtless.
This is a clean Comfort Inn with a good highway location. Old building with little amenities during covid. It was adequate under the circumstances.Pros: Easy access to highways + stores. Relatively clean. Takes dogs. David at the front desk was very kind and friendly at check in.Cons: Front desk (not David) called us at 10:15am pressuring us to check out. Check out is at 11:00am and we had no intentions of being late. This was very off putting. However, what was worse was that--despite a Do Not Disturb sign on the door, at 10:45am: housekeeping (without knocking and without a face mask) came into the room while one of us was using the restroom. Im not sure why they were so eager for us to leave, but the lack of respect of the Do Not Disturb sign was alarming and unsettling. My key was also shut off before 11:00am so I could not reenter to check the room to make sure we took everything with us.During covid, there is no breakfast (nor any apparent refund for that service). While the front desk is stringent on mask use (as we were happy to see!) for themselves and the guests, the contractors working in the building and housekeeping were mask-free.Our room was fine. It was old (popcorn walls, rusty closet tracks, etc), but it seemed clean enough. I brought my own Clorox wipes to wipe down the surfaces regardless. The dog fee is high for the level of hotel this is. The room fee was about $92/night on a Tuesday, with tax. The dog fee (I have 2small dogs) added $30/night + tax. Given that the room had tile floors (thus, easy to clean), and was small and sparse, (and they dont give out dog bags/beds/crates/treats) I am not sure that fee is justified here.
Room 316 was filthy. Hair in sink, tub. Mold in corners of tub. Dirty smudges on bathroom walls, baseboards & door. Complained to manager who promptly changed our room. New room 430 was better but still not as clean as it should be. The cleaning staff are TERRIBLE and management are not holding staff accountable. 2nd room had baby power all over ottoman, probably from someone changing a diaper without using a towel. I pushed ottoman over just slightly and there was bottle of baby powder. If room had been cleaned, powder would have been vacuumed off of ottoman and bottle picked up off floor. Will never stay at another Comfort Inn. Also, no one is wearing masks except us and weve been vaccinated. Rooms should be spotless after COVID break!!!
The hotel appeared nice out front until you looked closely and saw even the front door did nothing fit right. The elevators where old and many lights and buttons where out or missing. The floor, sheets, and towels where all dirty and the tub did bit drain. The microwave and ice bucket where gross.
I arrived at 2:30 AM Friday July 9th and the front desk person, I didn’t get his name, was rude and unprofessional. I had a confirmation for my reservation which was paid, and told me that there were no rooms available. He didn’t check the computer, he didn’t try to help and basically told me to check other places. I didn’t care to continue the conversation because it was clear he didn’t want us there. I was able to get a room next door at the Red Roof Inn where I was welcomed and treated with respect.
First I had to wait before a guy finally came out to check me in, he was not friendly. I walk into the room and it is disgusting. Dirt all over the floors, crushed dry leaves, crumbs under pillows, dust like thick dust all over the furniture. I went down to ask for 2 more towels was told I had to wait for maintenance and that they would call once they got them. You will never guess.... I never got the towels! Ugh. Staying here, you would be staying at youre own risk.
The rooms are clean, comfortable and well maintained. The lobby is updated and well laid out. The staff is friendly and helpful. I booked five rooms for a golf outing with my friends and we all enjoyed our stay. The breakfast could use a little attention though. Other than that...It was great.
Unfortunately we were traveling, it was late & we didnt have any other options. First room (king on floor king) . The room was musty to start, there were stains in the chair fabric & carpet. Each side of bed had a line of filth on each side of base & the top of box spring next to wall was beyond gross. Second room was barely do able. Ceiling was peeling off & pieces were on 2nd bed. Bathroom had black mold in spots, shower fan had black tape all over it as did part of shower head. Tub drained slowly.
Had a very pleasant stay here. All the staff are friendly and very accommodating. The free breakfast is good. The hotel was clean and given our circumstances and having to stay at the first place we saw I would say that it was an overall wonderful experience. Will choose it again if ever in the area.
The staff are super friendly. The pool is amazing and the rooms are very clean. They also have a picnic area with picnic tables, grills and a basketball hoop. If you are a Choice Member you can not beat the price and its free to join. Great location as well to anything you may need.
The room smelled very musty. The hotel is undergoing construction at the entrance and it was difficult to negotiate getting in the back door at 1 am with all of our luggage. There were steps. If there was a ramp, we didnt see them. Breakfast was OK. Pretty basic choices, but it was quick and the serving area looked clean. The staff is very nice. Fortunately we had a short stay...about 8 hours. The sheets looked wrinkled. I wonder if they had been changed from the last guest.
It was ok.. no more no less need a bit more maintenance and a bit of refreshing in the rooms (ceeling was peeling off in my room) parking lot is accessible for a truck trailer combo. Keep up the good work i know you do your Best employees at the front desk were very kind!
Hotel lobby nice and clean, check in was took way too long, employee more interested in talking with other employees. Breakfast was ok, but if they run out of something it probably wont be refilled. Room itself was excellent, Housekeeping were excellent. Beware of shouting TV. They are testing 5 of these out, hope you dont get one as there is no remote to change the volume.
Friendly staff and BRAND NEW ROOMS! They just finished renovating the entrance as well.Beds were very comfortable.Rooms were secure and quiet. The WATER in this town is amazing!!!! Showers never felt this good in DC!Breakfast is still free with lots of choices - fresh fruit, waffles, bagels, yogurt, the sausage was great - and of course- powdered scrambled eggs.Plenty of room for kids to run around in the back. The only bummer was that the pool was drained. BUT I bet they’re going to work on renovating that next!!!
Was pleasantly surprised that all the rooms had just been upgraded. Big bonus there. Loved the staff and the 24 hour coffee, however, its probably instant. Breakfast was ok, and dont expect much from the eggs, but your kids will be happy enough eating as much as they want. Theres still fruit and yogurt, milk and juice - so no issues there.
The room was filthy. The trash from the previous guests had not even been emptied. The comforter and sheets had stains on them, and the wall had a smear of a brown substance that I dont even want to begin to guess what it could have been. My friend and left and went to another hotel.
The hotel is under renovation but discarding the construction, the place was clean and quiet. The staff was very kind and accommodating. Breakfast was good with lots of options. Two types of waffles! I will definitely stay again and cant wait to see the finished look.
Our room was very dirty: toilet seat, tub, bathroom floor, refrigerator, sink counter and sink. Hairs of all kinds on bathroom floor and in tub and on tub walls. Soap dish had previous user’s old soap stuck to it under new wrapped soap. Ice machine and room it’s in are filthy. Elevators walls and floors dirty.
Excellent experience. This motel has apparently made upgrades to their reception area as it was very modern. We had a king size bed room which appeared to have been updated. Bathroom was really nice and clean. They had an excellent breakfast selection. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating. Greatly recommend this hotel. Well priced. Overall excellent experience. We will be returning to this hotel whenever we are in the area.
I stay at this hotel several times a year as I have family nearby. Usually uneventful. I don’t believe the hotel was anywhere near full, yet we were placed right next to the elevator. I should have said something then, but we were tired after a long day. ALL.NIGHT.LONG ding of elevator and LOUD voices coming out of elevator and banging on doors. Or hearing ice machine. I turned off the HVAC unit as it was very loud but in hindsight I probably should have kept it on to try to drown some of the noise out. I will definitely bring earplugs (although my husband won’t wear them as he says it is unsafe. But it is that or no sleep) or some sort of white noise next time. And definitely ask for a room away from the elevator. JMHO, but unless asked for, that should be the last room assigned.
Good location, comfortable bed, nice breakfast, poor room lighting, TV satellite froze every 15 seconds without bad weather so impossible to watch, couldnt connect to WIFI, 2 computers in lobby for guest use - one didnt work the other was an old OS and painfully slow
The exterior dated the building, but we hoped that the interior would not reflect that. Upon walking in we noticed the tacky 90s hotel decor of mirrors and brass. When arriving at our rooms, the first thing noticed was that the doors were warped and in disrepair; as if they had been there since the building was built. Inside, more brass...No refrigerator or microwave in the rooms, these are for rent for an extra $1.50 per day. I have a hard time getting over this since I stay in hotels for half of the year and 95% have these in every room for no additional charge.Internet regularly freezes forcing me to use my wifi hot spot.Breakfast variety was okay since they have sausage and eggs, but they do taste quite odd.On the positive, the hotel staff was very friendly. Housekeeping does a great job keeping clean, although they change your soap and towels daily despite their efforts to be green. I hung my towel every day and they still changed them daily defeating the purpose of conserving water. And why, oh why do hotels feel the need to change out the bar of soap daily? Completely unnecessary waste of product and its packaging...
A standard Comfort Inn have stayed here twice on separate occasions and it has met the needs of an overnight stay during a long drive. Very slight lack of cleanliness in the room, but not completely disgusting. Would still choose this hotel again in the future if needed.
Newly renovated room was very comfortable and clean, and had lots of electrical outlets which was so appreciated. The breakfast area was well stocked and had several healthy options, and the lemon water offered throughout the day was appreciated. We didnt have a chance to use the pool but the water was crystal clear. All of the staff were very helpful and we loved having some light conversation and smiles with the breakfast lady. No complaints are warranted from us!
I was very happy with my stay here; I was in one of the renovated rooms, and it was fresh, clean and roomy. The wifi reception was good, the refrigerator was a good size, and the temperature controls worked well. I found the bed quite comfortable and the free breakfast was great. There are places close by for other types of food, as well. The only little glitch for me was that the only ice machine was in the lobby, and once Id reach my room, I wouldnt want to trek all the way back down there to get ice! This was a good hotel and location for me, a reasonable rate, and an easy drive to Animal Adventure Park.
Staff was friendly. Breakfast adequate. Beds and room comfortable. Appreciate that you allow pets. This was our first trip traveling with them and it helped to have a hotel to stay in during our trip where we could allow our cats to come inside with us. The lady who took our reservation quoted the pet fee after we discussed two cats, but the desk clerk wanted to charge two fees, but honored my expectation.
Hotel is undergoing renovation but only inconvenience was not being able to use the front entrance.Overall typical Comfort Inn with two exceptions; bathroom sink is outside bathroom which I personally dont like and I could not access the hotel wifi. I couldnt even get to the login page. We didnt check in until close to 11pm so I didnt bother calling the front desk for assistance. Hotel is pet friendly and room was very quiet and clean. Standard Comfort Inn breakfast fare.
The beds were comfortable and there sufficient numbers of towels, and amenities (soap, shampoo, coffee/tea) in the room. The complimentary breakfast needs some work. Not very much variety. Also, we didn’t have any hot water in the shower. They allowed us to change rooms for the second night of our stay.
We stayed a night in April, 2018, and found the Inn to be clean, comfortable and quiet. We got a good nights sleep at a very reasonable price! The staff was friendly and helpful. We left a valuable item in our room after checking out and were able to retrieve it intact later that day. The honesty and concern of the staff were was appreciated!
I recently stayed at this hotel and found it a good value. The room was clean. I found the hallway rug to be in need of replacement but the room looked like it had been recently refreshed. Breakfast was a bit lacking and I would have like to have seen some English Muffins. Overall though it was a good stay. Staff was friendly especially the housekeeping personnel.
We were travelling back to New York City late one evening, and I really needed to pull over because of tiredness. My wife and I hadnt stayed at Comfort Inn in quite sometime. I thought Id give it a try. The night clerk checked us in quickly and professionally, getting us a nice quiet room. The room itself was very clean. The refrigerator was a nice amenity, even tough we werent looking for it. The bed was comfortable. (There was also a Gideon Bible, important since we accidentally left ours at home.) The shower was clean and updated. The water was hot (something you dont see at many hotels). There was plenty of soap and shampoo available. The selection of food at the breakfast buffet was very good, with bacon, eggs, cereal and bagels available. The choice of breakfast foods is important to me, due to the dietary restrictions that I have. The lobby was also clean and comfortable. The hallways were well lit and clean. There were signs around regarding construction, but we saw little signs of this. We have spent nights in a more expensive chain, but going forward, we will be using a Comfort Inn where available). We would recommend the chain and the Binghamton, NY location to anyone.
We were greeted by friendly, professional front desk staff. Check in was quick and efficient. We did have an issue with our first room which was handled immediately to our satisfaction without hassle. The most impressive aspect was the friendliness of every staff member we encountered. To our recall, this is one of, if not the best Comfort Inns, or other hotel of same caliber that we had ever stayed at.Highly recommended.
I enjoyed my one night stay at the Comfort Inn - Binghamton. The staff is friendly and professional. Check-on was quick and I found my Room to be very clean and well attended. The wireless internet was strong and worked well throughout my stay. The breakfast attendant was very friendly and goes out of her way to see that you are welcome and attends to your needs. The fitness equipment is in good working order and features a treadmill, stationary bike and along with a couple of other machines. This hotel may be showing some age but over all it is very clean, well maintained, with a staff that goes out of their way to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. I would recommend this hotel.
Very nice staff. Very good mattress and pillow it’s was good stay... Easy check in and check out. It is secluded so you dont hear a lot of traffic at night.. Breakfast was plentiful and they even provided milk as an option with coffee/cereal. I would definitely recommend this place.
Four stars I would highly recommend. Our room was clean and updated. The staff were very nice and very knowledgeable. The free breakfast was very nice and was appropriate. It was a great stop over for our trip. If we ever need a hotel again in the area we will definitely stop and stay there again.
The bed was very comfortable and the staff were welcoming. The room was clean but humid despite the air conditioning, and theres the hotel cleaning products odor that stays in older facilities, but its tolerable especially considering the good quality of the bed and room cleanliness. The food was average at best and not varied enough. The fruit was limited and bruised. The fitness center was clean and the machines in good condition.
They are finishing a complete overhaul of the whole facility. Our room had been redone and in the near future their will be all new furniture. There were not that many people staying at the hotel on this night. We had someone in the room next to us. They came in at midnight and were quite noisy for over an hour. The walls are not that resilient when it comes to providing quiet.I just dont know why when there are not that many people why they dont separate customers. I have stayed at this hotel many times and the staff is always friendly and helpful.
The staff were wonderful, room was pristine, breakfast excellent. Microwave and mini fridge too if youre staying a few days and want to heat up leftovers or cool beverages. One minor comment...I wondered if there were limiters on the hot water. We both started with nice warm showers, but turned cold very quickly. It may be an energy saver, but a little warning would be nice if that is the case. That said, there was ample time to wash, and a minor issue to an overall great experience.
We walked in the lobby and smelled dog, we walked into the elevator and smelled dog, we walked in the dining area and smelled dog. We realize there needs to be pet friendly hotels, but there needs to be a way to neutralize the smell. One of the elevators the floor buttons did not light up. Thank goodness the smell was not in our room. The heat worked very well in our room. And the bed was comfortable. However, the room needed some repairs as the ceiling was peeling.
The hotel was in a good location. There was construction in the area so I eventually realized why so many men were coming and going. Also the Hotel has been, and I think still going through renovations, so it will be a pleasant surprise. The day staff are ok, but the night staff was attentive and welcoming. The breakfast lady was nice, and the food descent serving its purpose. You could make waffles and oatmeal, also there are eggs, sausage links, cereal, biscuits, sausage gravy, yogurt (mines was expired), toast, hard boiled eggs, and other stuff. It was a good hotel for work purposes and adjacent to towns with malls and restaurants.
The overall hotel was clean, our room was clean although bathroom tube showed some signs of needing update. We were disappointed that our room did not have a small refrigerator as we had brought snacks and beverages with us in a cooler that needed to stay refrigerated. Plenty of ice from vending available so not a real big deal. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Decent breakfast and pet hotel was pet friendly. Work out room, outdoor pool, computer area, all nice amenities. For the price, we would stay here again.
This is the third occasion for us to stay at this hotel. That is certainly a reflection of the fact that we liked our previous stay. The rooms are large. Each time the room has been clean and beds comfortable. The reason they did not get a higher rating is all three times we have stayed here there has been TV problems. On our first two visits we called the front desk and attempted to fix the issue. This time we again had tv problems. It would shut off on its own or the picture would become blurry. As we were not staying up late we did not call for help. I think it is a bit disingenuous to act as if it is a new problem and not fix what seems like a recurring issue.
Terrible beds and temperature in the room made it very uncomfortable to sleep. I’m addition there was a rancid smell in the room. The pool was closed even though it is the middle of summer. Not many options for breakfast and the food was mediocre. Melancholy vibe in the lobby and hallways. Would not recommend.
This property has good bones and it has obviously experienced some recent upgrades. But it lacks conviction: details unobserved by management leave things to be desired. The room we stayed in was ungainly: huge space between double beds; the night stand, supposedly in between, holding reading lamp, alarm, and phone was stranded in a 6-wide gap between the beds, accessible to neither bed. Bathroom nicely updated but water pressure in the shower close to a dribble. If the owners/managers viewed their property from the prospective of the guest, theyd have a really nice Comfort Inn. As of now they have half that....and so, alas, does the guest.
Cleaner than most but smells, bad fridge, lack of towels. The reservation line was terrible. The girls were more interested in promoting themselves than in helping find a good rate. I called 3 times trying to find rate info and could not get it despite time consuming calls. The local desk was competent.
We encountered several problems during our stay, but when mentioned to hotel staff all problems were fixed very quickly. All hotel staff we dealt with were extremely pleasant. I liked the extra little touches, such as books, childrens books, and games available in the lobby. The breakfast was stocked at all times, and looked very fresh each day (no day-old pastries).
The staff were very good and the overall appearance of the hotel was very good. The room felt damp and the bathroom light didnt always work. The bedding was ok, but somewhat noisy and uncomfortable. The breakfast was very good and the dining area was very pleasant. Two years ago the experience was excellent, but this visit was somewhat disappointing due to the room.
The staff is friendly here but the hotel is outdated. I arrived to an unheated room with an uncarpeted floor. I had to run a heater for a while to heat it up. The clock wasnt set to the correct time. I was tired after traveling and being with a loved one in the hospital. I needed some comfort and it wasnt there.Theres no second mirror at the sink and the blow dryer is in a bag, not mounted on the wall. The daily, free breakfast that is served has a lot of options such as cereal, waffles, fruit, danish, etc.I dont know how the price compares to other hotels in the area. I felt like I did not get the vase for my money.
This Comfort Inn was solidly ok. The location was convenient and easy to enter and exit. The building seemed to be in a bit of a state of disrepair, but it appeared that they may have been in the middle of a building-wide remodel. Nothing was dangerous or gross or anything like that in any case. The room was fine, pretty standard for the price bracket. There was a fridge and a microwave, which I always find to be a nice little extra. One pretty serious complaint we had about the room was that the beds were extremely hard. The included breakfast was totally standard: scrambled eggs, waffles, yogurt, etc. Overall, we found this Comfort Inn to be a good value and a reasonable place to spend a few hours unconscious before getting back on the road in the morning.
Its 5 stars not because its perfect, but it did exactly what you would want out of a standard hotel. Good price, good location (right next to Nirchis pizza, cant be a bad location with that.) And clean rooms.Everyone there was nice, the breakfast selection was pretty broad also. Most of what you would expect/want with the occasional surprise like what I can only describe as a cinnemon square (it was really tasty). The breakfast eating area is across from the front desk and that was quite nice, it seemed pretty new. In fact, while we were staying a lot was being updated, mainly the front parking lot.People are so quick to give 1* with hotels and I think thats unfair. My experience was the best you would want out of a hotel like this: clean, good breakfast, comfy bed.
I have stayed at many Comfort Inns. This one was the cleanest and most up-to-date ever. The remodeling they are doing is fantastic. The bed was extremely comfortable, wi-fi was the fastest of any hotel I have ever stayed at. The service desk people were great. They joined in when I was joking around. Next time I am in the area I will stay at this hotel.
Upon arrival the desk attendant was very helpful. Check-in took less than 5 minutes. We had made reservations on line. We were provided with the password for the internet. Signing onto to their WiFi was simple and the connection was good. My favorite thing about the room was the fresh scent, nothing over powering. It smelled clean. We had a restful nights sleep. Although we chose not to have breakfast the breakfast looked appetizing. Overall our stay was a pleasant experience.
The overall feel of the hotel is welcoming but the room we stayed in looked older and out of date even though the cleanliness was adequate. There was some remodeling going on so I am not sure if we got an older room or not. We were unfortunately near the elevator and with a large group coming in late, it was noisy. The screen and window were extremely dirty and unsightly.
Wifi and TV have been terrible my entire stay. Told someone was working on it but it never gets better. Garbage in the hallways every day. Only one washer and its broken every time I go to try to use it. Staff is rude and unhelpful. There are better and cheaper hotels that this pile of garbage
Employees friendly, couldnt beat there rates , my room was spotless & co in & out easy. Breakfast was from 8-10am I got there at 9:15 hardly any scrambled eggs left & I like Bacon no Bacon. Biscuits hard. Breakfast a disappointment, so only 4 Stars. Ty Robin Gray Rm 205
We arrived at the Comfort Inn with a 12 trailer in tow. We were moving from Vermont to Florida and were worried about adequate parking at our hotels along our route. When we pulled in, David was tending to outside tasks and he directed us to a parking location that would provide safety & security. Upon checking in we met David again. He was working the hotel reception desk. We were very tired from the first leg of our journey and just wanted our room. Well, that quickly changed. David was full of life and excitement. He engaged us immediately and made us feel special. We asked if he had a recommendation for a dinner place and he went on and on about a couple local establishments within walking distance. We went to The Spot and had the most wonderful hand crafted meal served up by the warmest most genuine people. If you stay here you have to ask about the local establishments. You wont be sorry. When we returned to the hotel David was as excited to hear about our experience as he was to give the recommendation. We loved David! Beyond all that our stay was great. Our room was spacious, well appointed, very clean and comfortable, not to mention reasonably priced. Also, the hotel was getting a major exterior facelift to match the obvious interior upgrades. Wed passed through Binghamton times before but never thought to spend a night there, always opting for someplace else that was more expensive and far less accommodating. This is a great place to spend time away from home.
Front desk worker Catherine was delightful, and the room was nice and clean. Although I had to wait about 3 hours for the room when I was told rooms were available. Then I received a room with a double bed when I requested a single bed. And I drive a commercial vehicle and received a pretty high rate. Most hotels have separate rates for commercial drivers, but I guess this one is special.
This is a delightful hotel that is pet friendly. The pet fee was $5. which is reasonable. They had a nice grassy field in the back to walk our dogs and provided poop bags and a waste can for them. We would recommend this hotel to anyone with or without pets. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was great too. Nice healthy choices and very clean.
The hotel was very good. We chose it because of its pet friendly status. The only issue I had was with the reservation process. I did not get an email from choicehotels.com. I had to call the hotel directly to verify that the reservation had gone through properly. The desk clerk was extremely helpful and sent a verification directly from the hotel. Follow up emails came through just fine.Overall, pleased with the experience.
My wife had unfortunately left her iPad in our room, and several hours after we checked out, to our surprise, we received a call from the Hotel advising us that it was found and will be waiting for us at the front desk to pickup anytime. Which we did on our return yesterday. We had no idea that it was left behind and it could have just as easily disappeared for ever.It is a well known and documented fact, that hotel, airplane etc staff rarely return lost property and I want to thank you and extend our major kudos and appreciations to the maintenance and front desk staff for their thoughtfulness and honestly.I am sure glad that I only stay at your Hotel every time I pass through, and have been for years. Thanks again.
Nice updated reception area. The reception was excellent and very friendly recommending different locations to eat.Our room was very clean and appeared to have been recently updated. Wifi was excellent and had no issues. Was surprised to see the poor reviews when our experience was very good.Priced just right.
We had once stayed at a comfort inn and we had an amazing experience. Last night, we stopped in for the night to this hotel. We were tired and just wanted a shower and some sleep before continuing with the long ride. The lobby looked nice enough and the staff was great so we checked in. As soon as we entered the hallway though, we were met by a horrible smell. And it just kept getting worse from there. The lights blinked a few times before turning on, some of the fixtures didnt work, the shower didnt work and I found hair on the bed. We were so tired so we just went to sleep but I was hardly able to get any sleep. I was so relieved when morning came. I really am disappointed and would not recommend anyone going to this specific hotel until they get some things fixed.
Inexpensive and the breakfast in the morning was reasonably good and free. But other than that, nothing really to recommend it. Rooms were a bit old, my bathroom door wouldn’t fully close and the lobby decor was rather clinical. Functional if you need to be somewhere close to where the hotel is.
The wife, dog, and I were heading upstate for the holidays. The weather started getting pretty nasty so we decided to try and find a hotel. Thankfully, the Comfort Inn had a pet friendly room open! The guy that checked us in was extremely polite and friendly! The hallway carpet seemed a little old, though, inside the room itself is well kept and new feeling.
The Comfort Inn in Binghamton is a pet friendly facility, which is great for traveling families. However, Ive never encountered a pet-friendly hotel that has a policy that prohibits the pet being left alone in the room at any time. Our dog is crate trained so could not do any damage to property or pose any threat to any one who may enter the room. Yet we had to take the dog with us when we were only in town to attend a funeral. Luckily, the weather was cool enough that it was okay to leave her in the car for the hour-long service. Overall, our room was comfortable. Bed firmness was great and lots of pillows, some soft, some firm. Everything was clean and well appointed. Love the breakfast and the complementary chocolate chip cookies. The most discomforting issue was the heating unit was noisy and too warm, and the mattress cover crinkled or rustled at every movement.
Had a very nice stay at this Comfort Inn. The front desk staff were very friendly and hospitable. The rooms were comfortable, homey and clean, and the breakfast was ample and tasty. The location is convenient to everything in the Binghamton area. The street is somewhat residential and pleasant compared to more commercialized areas around town. We will definitely consider staying here again when in the area.
Well, where to start. I know the motel was being renovated which is why I didnt give it a lower score. The lounge was great, clean, fresh and bright. The desk clerk was surly. The door to the room stuck and required a good deal of force to open and close. The night latch was broken, and the dead bolt would barely engage. The toilet rocked every time you sat on it and the shower leaked. The bathroom door also had a hole in it where the hook had been torn out. The room smelled like adhesive, and the sheets had been put on the bed crosswise. If it hadnt been late and only for one night I would have asked for refund and gone somewhere else. Would I recommend this place no, at least not until it is completely renovated, and maybe not then.
The room had no carpeting. The swimming pool was drained and thusly out of order . there was sufficient room to walk the dog. Some of the nights were noisy. Compared to other comfort inns, this one was below par. I would believe that this motel should be down graded.
This Comfort Inn had a very large and well laid-out area for the morning breakfast and it was the first Comfort Inn I have stayed where there was a staff member who prepared the waffles for you! That was nice! Also, our room was on the second floor and we were able to open the window which I always enjoy as I find the heating/air conditioning units to typically be noisy. Nice outdoor pool which was very clean and a nice area with picnic tables.
I had a reservation for today with this hotel. Unfortunately I couldnt make my trip today due to something beyond my control. I tried numerous times to contact the hotel to cancel my reservation. I was put on hold the first call for over 15 minutes before the line went dead. Called back twice to try to cancel. Was hung up on both times. Finally I called corporate to talk to them and explain the situation. Also asked if there was any way to lose the points and money I used for the reservation. I was told it was up to the hotel. They of course denied the request and hung up on the lady trying to help me. Either they have a problem with there phones or they are just rude. Possible also despite for the money for the room.
Have been a Comfort Inn customer many times at various sites. This site did not seem to be at the level as the others. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. The staff was very helpful. Overall, the site seemed seedy. It could be that they are still undergoing renovations yet the windows were dirty, the rugs in the hall not clean. The breakfast area was not attended to quickly i.e.: table was dirty (I washed it myself); spilled food and liquid not cleaned up quickly.
We were very unhappy , our door was broken. The deadbolt was difficult to use,the hook look screws were out and broken. Our keys didnt work several times for both rooms. Our phone didnt work, reported it 2 X did not change it . Furniture kind of old and beat up. Also not enough towels only two.....got more from the cleaning lady. The breakfast was ok.....We stay at Comfort Inns routinely...this one needs a lot of work.
This was my first time there. My purpose was to look for a room for my next two years there. Due to lack of preparation, I redeemed points for one-night stay since its a budget option. Reception was very efficient and helpful. Room was functional and quite basic as well as other moderate chains. I skipped the breakfast; this, I had no authority on it. Overall, its a nice stay.
This is the Best Place to stay in Binghamton We stay almost exclusively at Choice hotels. Some are better than others. Some we pass over just based on reviews. This Comfort Inn is a gem. Attention has been paid to every detail. Everything was clean, well maintained and functional. Breakfast was as good as you will find anywhere at any hotel price. We rarely travel the same road twice, but if were ever back near Binghamton we will stay here.
I have mixed feelings on my stay at this hotel; the location was ok for us in wanting to visit the neighboring areas, mostly Ithaca. Check in took a little longer than usually for me, and the same can be said for the individual ahead of me I was waiting on. The font desk staff were cordial enough, but left a little bit to be desired. While I had reserved a King room, I was given 2 double beds. We had arrived late and I had forgotten what I had reserved; the next morning I checked and noticed the error, but I was content to stay in this room although it was not ideal. The hotel at the time of this writing was under construction, but in fairness, other than seeing some construction material in what was the vending area on the 4th floor, you would never know. We didnt hear any noise or see any work being done while we were there. Our room with 2 double beds seemed a bit strange. The two beds were about 5 feet apart, with one night stand in between that was about 1 foot and a half wide, so you do the math. My wife and I slept in separate beds as with me being 63 left little room for her in the full size bed. One bed was right on top of the floor level air conditioner, so I needed to set up a barrier of pillows to deflect the air coming out while I slept. The matresses left A LOT to be desired. You could tell they were well used, and the bed I slept in felt like it was filled with golf balls. The room was basically nice enough, clean, and functional as was the lobby and breakfast area.I would say if the price suits you to give this place a chance, I think it has potential, we just had a little rough stay, but not a horrible one.On our last night there, the area suffered a blackout for some 3 hours, and no mention of it on checkout or anything; they didnt ask how was your stay? which I find fewer and fewer hotels are asking anymore. I guess they are afraid of what they might hear.
Arrived late around 11 pm. Needs updating, in a big way. a little scary coming off the elevators with a dark room right off the elevator. First room assigned to was was not up to par. Second room was slightly better until the morning when I saw the shower. I wiped it down before I would use it
Raining outside and my room had water pouring in from the ceiling and I wasn’t on the top floor. Hate to see what the room above me looked like. They moved me but I didn’t get a restful sleep thinking it could collapse and trap me. That is how much water was coming into the other room.
Overall, my mom and her nurses stay was comfortable and pleasant. There are exceptions however, that posed some problems during her stay. She is 410 and uses a wheel chair. The bed was exceptionally high for someone of her size to get into it. A ladder(unrealistic for a handicap person) was almost necessary to reach the mattress in any convenient way. The mattress was very comfortable however, once she was able to finally manage to get into the bed.The sink has an exceptionally long length, and was very high. The design made it very difficult to reach the faucets without assistance. The breakfast was bountiful, and enjoyed.
As a Bing Univ student over 21 I need a place to stay for a night before move in day on campus. Manager asked me to show ID, which I was fine with, but then he interrogated my reason for wanting to stay the night at their hotel. Then he proceeded to allow me to get a room as if I were some sort of child. It was very obvious he does not like the university students and told me I was not allowed to have anyone else come into my room (as though I were some sort of party animal). He was incredibly disrespectful and he thought I was lying about my age. He also continued to scowl at me the whole while. The girl at the front desk was very helpful, but that was the only good thing about this hotel. I took my money and left because I was shocked by how rude this man was. He had no right to interrogate me about why I needed a room or for me to prove that I was a student and over 21.So, Binghamton students, dont plan on getting a hotel room here if you arent with you mommy or daddy. The disrespectful, arrogant, and rude manager probably wouldnt allow you to.Take your money elsewhere.
Comfortable beds and pillows, room clean, rented microwave/refridgerator at modest price. Full breakfast was great! Staff courteous and was given fresh linen as needed. Pool looked clean but freezing cold in August/September, smelled strong of chlorine. Take bottled water, tap water smelled of chlorine also. Otherwise perfect stay. Close to shopping, restaurants, Otsiningo Park, walked dinner off at Cutler Gardens (go as early as possible in evening before the bugs come out). Had a little trouble with the wifi.
Hotel, when first entered was very clean, staff very friendly. Once you left the lobby this hotel was in major need of repair, and update. I would never go back. The room itself was okay, but disappointed. at least the bed was very comfortable. Noise and doors could easily be heard. Next morning got up at 5:00, coffee was ready which was great. Staff again very friendly. Breakfast was terrible. Eggs like rubber. Could not eat.
The staff was very efficient and welcoming. I forgot something in my room when I left. I had a phone call from a staff member telling me they would hold the item at the front desk. When I came back through that way, it was right there. The room was comfortable and clean.
As retired travelers, we have experienced some good, some bad, and some UGLY! This was one of the best stays weve had in 10 years. The room layout was well planned, no extras we wouldnt use, such as a microwave or refrigerator, and the breakfast was excellent, providing some protein (eggs and sausage) as well as fresh fruit, yogurt, assorted breads and cereals, juices and milk products.
I was there for a mini-seminar, so I was not able to look around the hotel or check in. From what I could see, it was a very nice and clean establishment. The entrance lobby had a very comfortable feel and there were many places that would make it easier for guests to relax (bar-like table with outlets, computers, etc.)
I have stayed at this hotel many times during the past several years. I have always been very satisfied with my experiences at this Comfort Inn. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The owners have recently invested much money into upgrading the facility. The rooms are very clean and comfortable.
A little off the beaten path, but very friendly and helpful staff - all-around. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. Our dog also had a nice huge space in the back of the hotel to sniff and run around. The late check-out request was accommodated and everyone was extremely cordial. Thanks!!
We stopped here on our way to and from Washington. The staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast had a good variety from toast and cereal to eggs, sausage and waffles. There are several restaurants close by for meals. The only negative was our room was above the front entrance and you could hear the door open and shut.

2022-05-15Arriving to our hotel room, we were met with dog and human hair between the sheets. The door handle to our toilet was falling apart. The ac unit sounded like a diesel generator. We went to the front desk and there was no one there to tend to us. Nevertheless, we made attempt to clean the bed ourselves since we were in need of a good night’s rest. At 1 am we were awaken with doors banging, yelling and loud laughter from next door. We called to the front desk to handle the situation but as I write this review at 2:30am, the loud disturbances continue. For a hotel whose motto is “to offer travelers a consistent, warm and welcoming experience. With all the amenities you need to be at your best, our hotels will help you feel rested and ready to take on the day” you all lack tremendously and fall short of the promises made to customers… especially for the price paid. Cleanliness and some degree of quietness are enough to ask for from you all. If there was an option to give this establishment a 0 star rating, I would not hesitate. With those things in mind, I will no longer do business with this hotel chain.

2022-04-28Got here kind of early with my rig( Tractor Trailer) was able to swing all the way around the building with a 48-ft flatbed and had enough parking on the right side of the building to accommodate my truck. Stepped out for dinner and came back and the parking lot was full with other trucks. Including a car carrier that they made special accommodations for, The front desk called the owner of the hotel to ask permission for the gentleman to park in the front but so that he wouldnt have to drive another minute on the road to find another safe place to park for the night. That to me is worth a review because truckers are normally the forgotten and that shows an exceptional level of commitment to customer satisfaction and the overall safety of our drivers on the road. The gentleman who drove the rig parked in the front of the building was not one of our drivers but he belongs to the thousands of truckers that keep America rolling every day. For that we thank you Comfort Inn! You have definitely earned our future business!

2022-02-23The location was great, inutes from anything in the area. Staff were friendly. Room was clean with the exception of a sticky spot on the side table that I cleaned. Mattress was very hard and I had a hard time getting the heater to stay where I put it. I called in the morning for late check out, which they said was fine. Then I got a call at 11am asking if I was checking out, let them know I had late check out. Then at 11:30am housekeeping knocked to see if I was leaving. Overall it was a good stay. Would book again.

2022-06-05Another short staffed location. Garbage cans overflowing. Not enough help at check-in. Rooms not 100% clean. But, nice decor in rooms, refrigerator, microwave. Awesome, complimentary breakfast with hot food items. Bring back to room if youd like. Worth getting up early for!Tip: Cheaper if you book online then if you just walk in. Even if you do it in parking lot then go inside.

2022-06-07Door did not have a lock, ripped off. Wood on doors peeling off. So much dirt on the window seals its disgusting. Carpet is stained. Got out of the Shower no hair dryer, called front desk and they refused to go to another room an get one. I had to drive to CVS and get a hair dryer. Beware this place is a HOLE!

2022-05-31Seriously for how expensive this place is you would think they would have two working elevators and better clean rooms. The bathtub would not drain hair every where and tolit paper wrapper stuck in the air vent in the bathroom. Breakfast was watery eggs. The tissues on the bathroom sink where soaked. Dirty carpets, I had to wear shoes the whole time. The night manager, he was a nice guy.

2022-04-27Room was filthy they wouldn’t clean it for us so we bought new sheets and blankets and cleaned it ourselves …and then the construction started-right next door! When we talked to the owner about these issues not one “I’m sorry” or “ I apologize for the inconvenience how can I make it better” he said and I quote “well you can check out then”. Complete unacceptable on all accounts even more but no use typing when u get the gist -never stay here

2022-03-05Worst hotel ever, over charging my mom, having us sleep on yellow blankets and sheets. Bed bug central, kept getting bit every night I was here. The staff here makes smart comments about people, they don’t cover their mouth when they cough. The guy at the front desk will be reported! Also, the staff is HELLA RUDE! DONT STAY HERE
