One of the worst hotels Ive ever stayed in in New York City. The management act like theyre charging you for the deposit and theyre just going to take the money for the room and keep hitting your account all night long. And theres absolutely no parking in the facility for your car
The staff are amazing! kind friendly and professional however, the property is well past a renovation light fixtures were not working, the room smells not due to lack of maintenance just a weird old smell and the toilet is very noisy running throughout the night. I have stayed at this property over 10 times. I love the location I hope it gets a renovation in the future.
THIS HOTEL.... AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS!!!! My friend and I checked in and within 2 minutes of being in the room we noticed the bed sheets were very dirty, so when going to call the front desk our phone was completely disconnected and the wire hidden in the bed sheets, then when we finally connected it and got through it took us 20 minutes to get our sheets. When stripping the beds we realize the stains on the sheets was dried up blood. As we were packing up our bags to leave we noticed dried blood on the walls. Immediately exited the property if you want a clean hotel and a quiet stay, please do not enter this building. Proceed with caution.
It wasnt a place I would ever stay again. There was many things wrong with the room. When you walk in the room your bed is right there you had very little room to walk around. I was told that the designer of the hotel made it that way. The refrigerator was on top of the desk the mattress cover had some kind of stain on it. The drain cover in the tub was just placed on top it was a safety hazard. When you put the cover of the toilet seat down you can see it hadnt been clean in a long time. There was also a spider in the corner in the ceiling. Take a look at the pictures.
1. Lobby is small2.Rooms are small and cramped3.Wall paper peeling from the walls4. Cracks in the walls5. Rooms were not clean; walls were dirty6. Air conditioning was broken;when you turn it on it had a horrible burnt smell coming from it7. Not enough of towels and wash cloths8. Place looks like a darn nursing home9. For the price charged for the establishment. The accommodation are horrible and subparMy suggestion is to stay someplace else.
We booked this hotel via phone through the company that I work for. Upon arrival, they wouldn’t let us check in, because the room was paid for with a company card, and asked why my name wasn’t on the card. After a half hour of various phone calls and emails, we were allowed in. 2 days later, as I was getting ready to head to work, I heard pounding on the door. I was greeted by a man telling me I missed check out, though my reservation was for 4 days. As we sorted through the scheduling mistake they had the audacity to ask what we were doing in the room, since we had the do not disturb sign on our door. The staff is rude, and management is ruder. The area is large, with plenty of other accommodations, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere
Rude staff.Room was lacking towels when I arrived and had to beg to get a mini fridge put in my room.Hotel is not well lit in the hallways.Room was very cramped with little room to move around.Poor water pressure in the shower.Room looked out to a junk pile all week.Breakfast staff were quick to kick early arrivals out before starting time and Quick to breakdown the hot breakfast stations before closing time.Hotel manager was never available to chat during my week long stay and finally called while I was in the air on my flight home. Not a place to stay again even if my employer picking up the tap for lodging. Its obvious this hotels is poorly run and it shows in a GLARING way.The corporate office must get involved in the running o this hotel at once!
Rooms are really small, almost like they lost the other half of them. Def not worth the $200 plus per night they charge. Im giving this a good rating due to the staff. They are fabulous. Hard working, friendly people that made my stay here worth it. I hope Comfort Inn appreciates them and I also hope they will build rooms bigger.
Im absolutely devastated with the service in this hotel. From the pictures that I saw in the internet, they were good and the rooms were spacious. (Reason why I even decided to book this hotel). After arriving to the nice place I could tell that this was such a scam. The rooms were so small, not clean, door were not properly working and some people were not even following the covid 19 regulations. The setting in this place is not welcoming at all. If you are looking to stay at a place PLEASE DO NOT I REPEAT, DO NOT STAY IN THIS PLACE.
Let’s just say for the price this hotel didn’t come close. Right when we got off the 2nd floor from the elevator it was bad. The 2nd floor had a mildew, stale, dirty laundry smell to it. The room itself was fairly clean but the ac was not working properly. It was actually unplugged when we entered the room. That morning we had house keeping come by at 9 saying she had to clean the room when check out was at 11 and my infant son was taking his first nap of the day.Only pleasant thing in the hotel was breakfast and the gentlemen by the name of Anthony was very attentive and catering to the guest that ate there.Needless to say, never coming back here again.
I booked a smoke free room-the entire floor was smokers. Room had stained curtains, moldy ac. Appears hotel is also being used a homeless or rehab housing, see the photo of homeless camp on Wild Avenue across from adjacent Fairfield front door. Dis not follow covid mask policy in lobby, did not get asked to submit NYS travel advisory form.
For the most part, my family and I had a very good experience at this location. When we arrived, the room was not immediately ready. Otherwise, the room was clean and acceptable. The crew working the morning breakfast was very nice. Overall, our stay was to the level one would expect and I would stay here again.
First of all, the staff are so helpful and nice. They went above and beyond to make my husband and I and our 3 children comfortable. They helped is pick a restaurant that offered delivery to hotel. The rooms are fairly small but they were clean. The beds were fluffy and comfortable. We slept very well. Would definitely stay again.
The first room we got was great! The second room had some minor problems, we also had a slight issue with one member of the staff during breakfast, however I am grateful and compliment the front desk, and Melissa the Manager for their quick action in rectifying the room situation and we were very happy with how they handled the issue. Also the housekeeping department did a great job cleaning the room while we were out for the day. So overall, I can say we enjoyed our stay.
My third time to stay here. The rooms are small, but I dont come to NY to stay in a hotel room. My room has always been spotlessly clean, with crisp, white sheets on a comfortable bed with loads of pillows. The bathroom is well-stocked with towels and soaps. There is a coffee machine, an iron and a hairdryer.Staff at the front desk are friendly and helpful. Parking is a somewhat limited on weekends, due to the restaurant at another facility (there are three hotels at this location)...its the city! The breakfast buffet is simple and more than adequate. Great coffee, waffles, eggs and sausages, toast, bagels or muffins, choice of three cereals, milk and yogurt, hard- boiled eggs, bananas, apples and juice. The young woman who ran the breakfast room on Sat and Sun was really on top of things...she was very friendly and upbeat. Mondays lady seemed inexperienced and stressed.
Very small rooms with a bad smell emanating from the bathroom. The cloth shower curtain smelled like an old, unwashed gym bag and the shower head had significant and visible black mold growing on it. Pretty gross. The room itself had a tiny stand alone closet and one set of drawers so unless you are staying by yourself, it’s going to be pretty cramped. For some reason I had to get my keycard reprogrammed three times within two days after I was locked out.
Very clean rooms. Very friendly staff. It was perfect for our need to just have a good clean place to sleep. The rooms are very small and it was a bit hard with my small kids to keep them occupied, but we were out most of the time. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was big and functional.
Comfort Inn was a decent place to stay. The rooms are small, but they are clean and comfortable. The staff is five-star and they do not hesitate to make sure that your needs are met. I enjoyed the breakfast and the gentleman that runs the cafe makes you feel as at home as possible. If you are in Staten Island for a short stay and you need a place that is affordable and quiet, I recommend the Comfort Inn.
I stayed here years ago when it was fairly new and I loved the comfort of the beds most. Its a little bit smaller then other hotel rooms but I couldnt complain. I recently stayed here and although the beds are still comfortable, I didnt really enjoy my visit. The rooms werent entirely cleaned and had a musty scent and bathroom simply stunk. I was surprised. Check in is at 3 so I was shocked that the room wasnt as clean as it should be. Even if the rooms were still in the process of bring cleaned,we could have been told to wait. Instead they just did was what needed to get us in. I hate and try not to give bad reviews but I was so disappointed because I enjoyed my previous stay here.
Staff was friendly, breakfast was normal. Furniture was nice, bed was comfortable. My room had visible seams in the wallpaper. Look like a whole section fell and they reapplied it. Room smelt musky and AC also had a smell too it. I didnt contact management. Other reviews said their rooms were musky too.
The concierge was nice. It had a great view of the old landfill.the neighborhood surrounding the hotel was dismal; somewhat industrial with barely any food establishments or anything worth walking to. Delivery from some restaurants a few miles away will satisfy. However, it all had a little bit of a science fiction feel to it, the neighborhood and the hotel.
No fridge in the room. Ice machine out of order. Had to go to next hotel to get ice...not cool! Man at the desk was nice and as helpful as he could be. But broken and only 1 ice machine in a hotel? Oh and TV kept shutting off on its own. Should have stayed in my black out house instead
Their hotel is HORRIBLE, I would rate it a zero if I can.First of all, the hotel rooms are really dirty, very small, and the rooms smelled like dog poop.Second of all, we went to the “fitness center”. It only had 3 pieces of equipment. The equipment was not cleaned and it wasn’t functioning well. In addition, there was a lady that came yelling at us for being in the “fitness center”.Third of all, the towels and bedding weren’t clean at all.We were going to spend 3 days there, but instead we left on the first day. This “hotel” is something that I will never revisit or recommend to anyone.
This place is adequate. I dont hate it, but it was far from perfect. Though the bed and bathroom were clean, the mini fridge in the room was covered in crumbs. While inspecting the bed for bed bugs, i found a tshirt and used deodorant bar buried between the mattress and box spring, and while i requested a king size bed upon reservation, im pretty certain the room i was in had a queen size mattress because my legs were dangling off the bottom of the bed. Also the room was kinda cramped, not leaving a lot of space around the furniture, and the blinds are only for show, as they dont extendnover the windows. I had to pull them together and clip them with one of the hangers from the closet to keep the harsh lights of the parking lot out. That said, the staff is friendly, the menu binder in the room was stuffed, so it was easy to decide where to order from, and this hotel does offer complimentary breakfast from 6am to 10am daily, thats a plus if youre looking to save money. This isnt a bad hotel, and if youre from out of town looking for a place to crash for a couple nights, you could do worse, but dont expect anything other than average from this hotel.
The room was the size of a walk in closet. No room for bags so we had to step over them to get around the room. The outlets on the lamps didnt work half the time. No fridge or microwave. Waking up to a dead phone and needing to use it first thing in the morning for business was not fun. We found hairs in the bed that were not ours (Before we slept in it) and the toilet was dirty. There were busted walls in the hallways, the floors were filthy, the elevator is very slow and the doors randomly open for no reason. Parking is a joke. With two other hotels using the same lot good luck finding a spot. I didnt have their free breakfast or use anything in the cellar so I cant comment on it, but if the room is this bad I doubt anything down there is good. If I had the money to I would have canceled my other 2 nights here and gone somewhere else.I accidentally forgot some personal info in the room that I thought I had packed. The next day I got weird phone calls from a casino so Im suspicious that my info was taken and used. Will be reporting it. I called the hotel to see if they found it and get them to mail it to me. By this time it would have been found by cleaning staff since I checked out the day before. My name and number are in this info and it was in the room so they knew who it belonged to. They said they found it but couldnt ship it so I had to get someone i knew in town to get it and mail it to me. They seemed very irritated to have to deal with me at all. Even if the room had been nice this bad service would be enough to stop me from ever going back. I was put on hold 5 different times just trying to tell the person at the desk the name of my friend so she could give it to the right person. Ridiculous.
It is an irresponsible hotel! I made a reservation very early and got to sleep late at night and had NO ROOMS AVAILABLE. And the only solution of the Manager was to say that I had to find another hotel and that they would simply return my money and I had to do it myself, all that at 2 AM and after a very long trip. Also, if you have bugs at the reception, Im not interested in knowing how the entire hotel will be plagued. disgusting also.
Our stay at this hotel was pretty good. The room was very clean and a good temperature. They had good parking available and were very good about respondingnto our needs. A few negative things were that we didnt have a microwave or fridge in our room and any time we tried calling room service, we just got that it was busy. Literally, every single time. Im not sure if they truly were that busy or if our phone just didnt work. All in all, I would stay here again.
As we entered to check in we had a warm greeting and easy check in. That being said This Hotel is HORRIBLE!! The rooms are so small my husband and I literally had to squeeze past each other every time to walk around the room cause two people couldn’t walk infront of the bed at the same time. The King size bed was basically a foot away from the dresser and desk. (Too much furniture for such a small room) The walls are so thin you can hear everyone entering and exiting their room which meant constant talking and doors slamming all day and through the night. I didn’t sleep at all! The bed was comfortable but what’s the point when you can’t sleep. I called the front desk to ask for a toothbrush and they said I had to come downstairs and get it. Never had I been to a hotel where the staff doesn’t bring what you request. There also wasn’t enough towels in the bathroom and the room was feeezing upon entering cause the draft from the window. I put the heat on and then it was too hot. Ridiculous! Not worth spending your money here! The Comfort Inn wasn’t comfortable at all.
Room was small but was clean, so was the toilet. A TV was available. Breakfast was simple, includes vending machine area. One elevator served all floors causing delays, had to take the stairs a couple of times. Staff were fast and friendly, WiFi was good. Will stay again.
I was skeptical at first because of BED Bugs posts but i did not experience anything bad worth reporting.Housekeeping: Rooms were properly cleaned and there was no sign of bed bugs.Breakfast: Breakfast attendent was lively and made my day with his attitude and delicious food.Cleanliness: Everything was clean and tidy.Parking: if my memory serves me right there are around 20 parking spots around the building and they have 5 floors. Each with 20 rooms. You do the math. I found parking very easily.
Good for short business stays. The nighttime staff is polite and helpful and the amenities are good. Very cozy. Yes the rooms are small but this isnt want for vacationing. Its basically a comfortable place to get a little extra work done, shower and sleep. The extra are the breakfast and fitness and business room.
Room, lobby, and halls are small to the point of being cramped. Door lock mechanism was bent making door difficult and noisy to open. Room obviously was cleaned well daily by the pleasant and helpful maids, but the hotel needs a heavy duty cleaning and renovation to overcome the aged and worn look of the place. Staff tried hard but the hotel is just not up to a decent starndard,
Stayed here over night after a wedding and it was ok at best. The room smelt like mildew, the floor was soaked from the air conditioning. Im horrified in finding bed bugs in one of these hotels but I have to say the bed was actually very clean. The bathroom was actally very clean as well. VERY small room. Breakfast was good.
The first room I was given had not even been cleaned yet. The towels in my new room had make-up stains on them. Then I was forced to leave, after having been given permission for a later checkout time of 1pm. When I asked to speak to the manager the staff was incredibly rude. Definitely will never stay here again.
Horrible stink in the room. First thing the staff tells you at the front desk is to make sure you dont smoke in the hotel, meanwhile the rooms stink of smoke and whatever else it is that gives it a horrible, awful stench. Rooms are tiny. The bed covers are very thin so you have to keep the heat on which makes so much noise. Wouldnt recommend, especially that the prices are comparable to Hilton.
The rooms were a bit smaller and cramped than the average size Im used to. However breakfast was delicious and consistently refilled. Complementary wifi was pretty fast. Double bedroom lacked a mini fridge or a microwave but breakfast area had one. Overall I would definetly recommend this hotel. However its not as high end as the other two hotels within the same square.
The staff was welcoming and helpful. Ours was an end room, VERY small but clean. The bed was comfortable and shower had good water pressure. The room could use updating, the wallpaper was beginning to peel. Good access to WIFI. The hotel is in a good location off the highway. There are three almost identical looking hotels on one parcel of land. We found adequate but tight parking in back of the hotel. Breakfast was basic and something to get us on our way in the morning.
My family and I were placed in a room with a king size bed that was about 7 feet by 7 feet we could barely get around. We were not able to walk past each other it was that tight. We called the front desk and were never accommodated with a bigger room even though we were promised one. The towels were dirty and had previous guest hair still on them. Every time we went to the bathroom it smelled like old sewer water in the air. The room sucked I would not stay here again. The front desk was barely available for questions. Also the hotel is a good distance from the Staten Island Ferry about 30 min driving, the free breakfast was not appetizing and we went to McDonalds for breakfast. The hotel is located in an area that is not accommodating for travelers, nothing is close by. Save your money and book with another reputable hotel.
Very disappointed in the cleanliness at this dump, infested with bedbugs my colleagues and I discovered bed bug throughout the hotel they were infested in the mattresses and carpet. A few of my co workers had to be seen at urgent care for treatment. They never offered any compensation or accommodations for all the trouble
Pros - Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. Decent breakfast every morning. Small but effective exercise room. Free wifi.Cons - Limited television channels. Not a lot in the nearby area as far as food and shopping, will have to travel to get anywhere notable. Not every room has a small fridge and/or microwave.Notes - Get rid of the new breakfast coupons. It is a little degrading to be asked for what is essentially identification while Im getting my free breakfast. This is clearly a poor attempt to cut down on people taking more than one meal.
The housekeeping department are not honest people. I left a very expensive pair of Nikes in my room. When I called they stated that they never found a pair of sneakers. This disappoints me and am very Leary of the staff. Not only are they dishonest but are apparently thieves. Be careful not to leave anything behind. Sad to have stayed in such an establishment. Also very angry 😡 👎🏾👎🏾
Jessica is amazing to work with! :) She helped us find the best rate for a hotel very close to our venue. She guided us through the entire process and gave us a summary of the best finds. I recommend Comfort Inn Staten Island for any busy couples, who dont have the time to work all the details. It takes a ton of work off your plate. I am super happy with the service provided.
The room is not as spacious as in a regular comfort suites, my room had a king size bed and there was very little space left to move just enough to go from the desk next to the tv, to the door; it is small. Room has no mini fridge or microwave nor the hotel has a laundry room.
Had a reservation which I booked through an affiliated site. Hotel cancelled the reservation and didnt bother to tell me, so when I arrived there they said they had no record of it. Showed the check-in clerk the confirmation on my phone and she declined to honor it, said there was nothing she could do.
Rooms were no bigger than a walk in closet, not very clean found half eaten cookie on the floor and some bugs in the bathtub, wallpaper was peeling, heater set if the smoke detector when turned on, breakfast was suppose to go till 10am, went down at about 9:40 and everything was empty. Only plus was front desk staff was friendly.
Next to a former landfill, downwind from a stable (the air outside is barely breathable), tiniest hotel rooms Ive seen outside of Japan. The staff were AWESOME. I almost wish they had another property to work with to truly shine. Theres another hotel next door but I wonder if its any better...
Very bad service room very small housekeeping are so loud talking on their phones while cleaning other rooms wakes me up so early every morning nolbea in the house keeping is very rude!! Will never stay here again and highly don’t recommend it.The lady at the front desk is very professional.
Horrible customer service!!! I had trouble canceling my reservation. I spent over 2 1/2 hours dealing the main hotel and their scheduling company. The employee (told his name was FELIX) was extremely rude and unprofessional. The hotels customer service rep was even hung up on by this employee. Long story short, felix refused to cancel my reservation without a penalty. Since I was going to be charge a fee I decide to stay at the hotel and change my plans. When I got to the hotel I found out my reservation was canceled. The lady at the front desk apologized for this matter. (she was very pleasant) During my check in, I was explaining what had happened the day prior and some random guest had spoken up and said she too had negative experience from this employee. I wrote to the hotels corporate office and still never heard back!Over all hotel room was small and very expensive. I would not stay there again.
I would never stay here again. Black mold in curtains, ac unit and ceiling. You could smell the odor.. Bathroom sink did not run hot water. Bathroom was larger than the room. When I went to desk to complain, I was told no one was there to manage that morning. Well its been 4 days and still no one has called. I guess they just get away with it, black mold is dangerous, so if you want to wake up coughing book yourself at this one star hotel.
This by far is the worse smelling and smallest rooms i have ever seen in a name hotel. 2 twin beds squeezed into a tiny room with an even smaller dirtier bathroom. The air condition smelt horrible. The hotels response was that it was the hard waters fault?!? Ummm an air conditioner is a self enclosed system way the hell doors hard water have to do with that. The place was so bad I cancelled the rest of my reservation and moved over to the Staten Island New York hotel
My fiance and I were asleep at 12:30am, in a very small room where the bed was about 3 feet from the door to the room, when suddenly we were woken up by a couple opening the door to our room with a key and entering. After some yelling due to surprise, we went outside to find the couple apologizing and saying they were given the room key to our room. My fiance called downstairs to ask what happened and the person at the front desk didnt respond. So we put our clothes on and went downstairs. After some discussion about the issue, we find out that the person working the front desk, had in fact given our room and room key to another couple. Unacceptable. The person said they would let their manager know and they would be in in the morning. We went back upstairs to sleep. We came down in the morning and there was a new person working the front desk. They said the manager wasnt coming in, or wasnt there yet. We were told they saw a note about the incident and would be in touch. That was over a week ago and we paid full price for the room and never heard anything from anyone at Comfort Suites. Obviously Ill never be staying at a Comfort Inn ever again, will share my story when and where I can, including Google, Yelp, etc, especially when we dont even get an apology. Unbelievable.
The receptionist was very present! Unfortunately the reservation I booked could not be filled because my credit card is a payroll card with no name on it! I should have read the small print! Made the reservation over a month from California, No time to call and confirm my reservation and remind me of the things I would need for a smooth check in? I really would not have minded! Oh and to top that you dont except Cash!
Stayed at the Comfort Inn in Staten Island overnight for a work trip. The rooms were relatively comfortable and clean, parking at this hotel proved to be quite difficult however, with the lot being filled with Hotel guests from two competing hotels. Breakfast was also a little bit disappointing, with no coffee or orange juice available the morning after we stayed. Still, a good nights sleep is a good night sleep.
Check-in was easy, the staff was very friendly, and breakfast was decent, apart from the coffee. Room was very clean but extremely small. I know this is New York City, but this isnt Manhattan and even by Manhattan standards, the room would be small. Parking is free, but somewhat limited.
As a city residence I needed a hotel for an unexpected funeral on Staten Island with easy access to Newark Airport to transport family. Erica, who cleaned our room is a sweetie. You could hear people walking and talking on hallways. Pam was wonderful and very pleasant for breakfast each morning. Shuttle to & from ship is free with room.
The Rooms are very small but very clean ,but we decided to still say here anyway. I asked to use my AAA discount upon check in but she didnt know how to apply it.This was no big deal for me because she explained the next women could do it with no problem. The next women said it could only be done at check in, but attempted to solve the issue because the women before needed a manager, and one wasnt available at the time. She fixes it and 5 mins later she calls and says ohhh I cant fix it, Ill leave a message for management in the morning.Morning comes a new women 3rd women says she would be talking to Matt (management)and giving me a call after she spoke to him. Im currently here with a plunger because of bad plumbing, and a check out bill that says they charged me another day I am not booked for on top of my initial 2days. I was never called yesterday!! and the man in the front now doesnt have a clue of what Im talking about. He says it will be refunded back to my card immediately. We all know that never happens. How is there a mix up when my departure date is correct at the top of my bill? And way do you have to leave another message for management...Im like dont you all talk or get briefed about issues before your shift.!! I wouldnt recommend staying here. The only reason I have an extra star is because of the women who cleaned my room she did a great job!!
One of the worst places Ive ever stayed. The girl who checked me in was nasty as can be and caused me a lot of problems. Ive never had such a horrible experience in my life and Ill NEVER stay at a Comfort Inn again!!! If anyone ever goes to the Staten Island Comfort Inn stay clear of a girl named Crystal who works at the front desk. If you dont meet up to her standards shell cause problems for you and your family.
Overall, not a good experience at Comfort Inn. I stayed at the Ramada a few weeks ago. Everything there was lovely. Ill definitely go back to Ramada next time. I reserved a queen room. I was given a king. It was a bit tight. The bathroom was 1/2 the size of Ramadas too. Toilet worked if you held down the handle. Comfort Inn is renovating the cellar floor where breakfast is served as well as the 1st and 3rd floors. Had to take a room on the 5th floor. There is only 1 elevator and it was obnoxiously slow. My room keys didnt work. Had to get new ones. Bath & tissue paper were seriously rough. Scrambled eggs seemed like they were watered down? I make them often at home. These were lighter in texture and flavor. The paint fumes were at times awful. After thinking the windows were unusually drafty, I realized just before leaving that the window had actually been open the whole time I was there. Youd think theyd check that when setting it up for the next guest. Neither hotel has room service. Ramada has toiletries, utensils, snacks & microwavable foods (& microwave) available 24 hrs as well as a frig in the room. Unfortunately, the best I could find at night at Comfort were plastic knives to maneuver my food to my mouth. Ramada room was a bit bigger. I had absolutely no complaints at Ramada. It was by far much more comfortable.
There are two other hotels right beside this one. They are more expensive, but Its probably worth it. This is a place to go when you want to party. I dont recommend families or single women to stay here. There were several drunk men in the elevators and in the halls. One room of guys had the door open and they invited me in, umm. NOT! Its not the cleanest place either. I am allergic to room fresheners and they keep the smell pumping throughout the halls and elevators. It may be to cover up something else. If you want a cheap dive. I recommend it. If you want to sleep in peace. Look elsewhere.
Worst breakfast ever. Ive stayed in hotels of every chain, in almost every state for the last seven years now, and this place had the worst breakfast. There were two different ladies working on breakfast. The older lady most of the week and a young lady one day. The older one would not put anything out until 7 and then she would put a few items out while everyone waited for food. There was no cereal, no milk, two yogurts, and no freaking coffee. The young lady had everything filled by 630 and asked if we needed anything. The older lady just didnt seem to care to do her job. Its a shame because i do booking for my group at work and i will not be booking there again.
I did not really have a good experience at this hotel 2 weeks ago. The rooms are extremely tiny. Probably about the size of a jail cell. I came out the bathroom and smashed my toes right on the bed frame pretty bad to the point where I was limping even to this point. My vacation to the Bahamas on a cruise was the very next morning. We are right across the street from the staten island dump. The smell of garbage was entering our room.
I had a 2 bed room, it was very nice and affordable at and reassonable price. The service was great including the room; it was clean and tidy. Bathroom was spotless, they had cable and I got the WiFi udername and pasword for the hotel..my overall experience was nice. They also deliver free breakfast in the morning!
I stepped into the lobby of this hotel because the ATM at the Holiday Inn Express right beside it (where I was staying) was broken. I asked where their ATM was, and the night attendent was very helpful and pointed it out. The ATM worked, so I give this place a 5/5 stars. Full disclosure, I am only writing this review because Google asked me to through the Google Opinion Rewards app. I havent stayed at this hotel as an overnight guest, so dont use this review to help you make any decisions.
Was put up here by my company. The rooms are ridiculously small.a king size bed with at most 2 ft on either side, and thats being generous.parking is non existent and shared with the holiday inn express next door.despite being relatively new, I could not plug anything in as the only outlets are located on the lamp bases and the contacts are spaced to far.the beds are comfortable and the furniture is decor is up to date..breakfast is mediocre at best and located in the cellar...it is actually called the cellar. Terribly designed hotel.if I had a choice there is zero chance I would choose to stay at this hotel.
The room its self was ok small but ok ... It smelled really bad even with the room referesher .. housekeeping staff was amazing and also the breakfast people .. front desk were not very friendly ..but I guess you get what u pay for .. 100 plus a night I just thought it would have been a little better .
The staff was rude and unwilling to help me when I first checked into the hotel. Infact initially when I came into the hotel parking lot the staff was actually in their car smoking marijuana. The heater in the room did not work and the staff told me there wasnt anything he was able to do about it. Completely awful experience
They are holding my money. They charging double and they are saying was an accident and I am still waiting my security deposit which they told me will be in 4 business days now I’m calling them and they are telling me it’s going to be in two weeks because my bank is a problem but it’s but is not true it’s a lie.
It doesnt get better than the staff here, they are absolutely wonderful people, however parking is SEVERELY LIMITED. This Inn shares a parking lot with the Holiday right next door, and the parking lot is puny. There are people parked in fire lanes, on the curbs, literally all over the place. If you stay (which you should - the hotel is fantastic), just know that if you have a larger vehicle such as a truck, you might want to inquire about parking in the LA Fitness parking lot across the street, there is plenty of room over there.
Small room, one slow elevator, no dining in or bar, breakfast was ok except for the meat, they only had pork and I dont eat that. Egg was really bad. Coffee sucked... entertainment on my tv, most channels didnt work. Only news and espn.... I felt over charged for nothing. We left a day early. Very disappointed.
Me and my fiance stayed at this hotel and Im sorry I didnt read the reviews first thing we couldnt find parking then the elevator took forever to come down to the lobby becase theres only one elevator which is so small only four people fit at a time mind you we were on the fourth floor so trying to come back down was the same thing.. the room was so small we could barely walk in the room the shower didnt work the headboard of the bed had smudges and the curtains in the room didnt close so we were up early in the am because of all the light that came right into the room just horrible never again will I stay at this hotel. Wish I could give it a no star.
I would not recommend this place ever.At check in time a lady was there doesnt know what costumer service is and how to treat customers. Her tone was too loud like she is scolding ppl. When went up my room was 420 and a lady from house keeping whom I asked for DND bcz I was leaving asked me room no. I got confused when she saw my expressions she said in a very rud way that I dnt hv anything to do with ur roomJust asking if u need anything....I mean, really....!At check out time same lady was at counter and I needed more time I was keep calling no one answered finally after like 50 calls a lady picked up I said good morning she replied how can I help uI said again good morning she hanged up.Then I decided to check out n not to ask for if I can have some more hrs as my flt was 720pm and check out was 11am.At check out time I said I was calling u she replied she had guests......Then who I was????To much discrimination...Not good for international travellers as like ppl me who travel all around the world cant bear bad attitude.
The price is very reasonable compared to what you would pay to stay right in the city. Staff are pleasant enough and competent. The location is very scenic and it is worth taking a walk in the morning. A special thank you to Nelson who help us secure our bicycles inside the hotel.
Amazing place to stay if you plan on visiting Staten Island, Manhatten, the Statue of Liberty, and Ellis Island. Youll be able to park anywhere on the parking lot even if its closer to one of the other 2 neighboring hotels as the lot is owned by the same person. In addition, throughout the day therell be a shuttle bus that takes you to and from the Staten Island Ferry. Also, the rooms are perfectly cleaned as I didnt notice anything wrong about them. Lastly, Ive heard from my parents the breakfast area is stocked well with cereals, doughnuts, and coffee. Overall, Id highly recommend staying here if you plan on having a great and comfortable time on Staten Island.
They had mopped the floor in the bathrooms and did not put up a wet floor sign. My girlfriend ended up falling and she already has metal rods attached to her spine due to scoliosis when younger. The staff who was working during this was very professional but when the general manager came to work the next night she came up with a reason to kick us out and made us leave the property when they were originally supposed to be comping us a room. We will definitely be pursuing a personal injury claim against this company. Very unprofessional of them to do this at all.
I am a choice employee and had a great rate, for a guy like me who just need a bed to pass out for few hours this is the best option rather than spending soo much money anywhere else, FD staff is awesome Specially Evette, Shes the best they got. She knows how to put a smile on your face. Place is clean, Room attendants know there job. only sad part is there isnt any store on walking distance so if you have a habit of smoking or eating snacks in the middle of the night, make sure you grab that during the evening or you would be stuck. Thanks for being awesome Evette. and thanks to all the FD staff for taking good care of all their guests.
Been asking for my refund on my cancelation for the past 2 weeks. The amount of money is over $1k and i havent received my money within 3 days how they said I would. They keep telling me that their GM will get back to me and i havent heard from this mythological General manager ever since I canceled it.
HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!!!!! Dont wanna say any names but Im pretty sure your always greeted like shi!@#$% in this place......Time square prices belong in Time square. Theres 2 other hotels steps away from each other and I personally know for a fact that they are all affiliated with each other Staten Island Scumbag move They charged me $168 for a 4 hour stay. I lost my keys and had no choice!!! The first one tells your booked so you walk 10 steps to the next one.....Then the second tells you the same so they JACK up prices.....GTFOH, Im from Brooklyn and I KNOW A SCAM WHEN I SEE ONE!!! Wow, What disrespect! PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE! ♡
BED BUGS!!!!!BED BUGS!!!!!! BED BUGS!! FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR CHILDREN AND YOURSELF DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT STAY HERE! I booked two rooms on Friday April 21, 2017 by Saturday April 22, 2017 my 10 year old daughter was covered in itchy swollen bites! I called the hotel on Sunday April 24, 2017 to let them know of the problem and to find out if they had any other complaints (of course the answer was no) , I just left urgent care and they are indeed bed bug bites!
Pros: nice staff, clean rooms with control of temperature, mini fridge in room, good complimentary breakfast bar, and exercise roomCons: poor soundproofing (I could hear a persons TV and loud conversation through the wall when I was trying to sleep), poor curtains ( the curtains had an inner sheer layer and an outer layer that were black out blinds, but the black out ones werent wide enough to cover the window and my window faced the sunrise),no microwaveI gave 4 stars because the cons are minor and easily to correct.
Amazing Place very clean very very clean always seeing the people cleaning every single time I stay there Im very welcome I feel like Im home great delicious clean breakfast in the morning to wake you up in the beginning of the day I feel refreshed and ready to conquer!
Rooms were small but your only there to sleep. Apparently a lot of people who are daytripping into ***hattan stay at this hotel, as they have hourly shuttles to the ferry. There isnt much in walking distance from the hotel, but a Wendys. I will stay here again when I visit relatives.

2022-04-22I had a good stay. I wasn’t interrupted by noise, my room and bathroom were clean. I had a good stay. There was actually a work out room downstairs. And vending machines are downstairs as well, along with a microwave. Got it for very cheap on short notice, check in and check out were very quick and easy. Nice staff.

2022-05-01This review is for a one-night stay in a room with a king sized bed in late April, 2022.The website clearly states that breakfast is provided and shows pictures of a breakfast area with food. However, no such breakfast is available! There is a breakfast area but it’s closed off.The rooms is extremely cramped. It’s impossible to walk around the room if you setup an ironing board. The room had a dinged up mini-fridge sitting on top of the desk, which makes the desk essentially unusable. The air conditioning unit was hard to turn on and smelled weird. A blew what looked like a dried beetle carcass out when it finally did turn on.Overall— this seems to be a safe place to stay the night. It’s not a pleasant place to stay. I won’t be staying here again.

2022-03-29Positive: Price was reasonable. It was convenient for my needs. Internet and parking was free. Beds were clean. No sign of pests. Negative: Location isn¿t convenient. Parking lot full of pot holes. Constant smell of marijuana inside building despite no smoking rule. Low sound proofing of hallway. Slow elevator that regularly had spills in it but the staff tried to keep it clean. Carpet dir

2022-02-01I booked for four nights checked out after 2 nights and they charged me for the four nights. Lesson learned. I advise anybody checking out to demand a receipt. Don’t let the receptionist dupe you into just leaving your key on the counter with the impression they will check you out.

2021-05-24This was by far the worst hotel experience ever. Ive stayed at Comfort Inns in the past and this location is a poor representation of the name. From the moment we checked in and walked into our room the disappointment began. The walls in the room were filthy, the room was extremely small, and we smelled smoke. We asked to be changed to another room and that was a little better. Throughout our stay we did not feel safe. We were approached by a man who heard us talking and commenting that a refrigerator was going to be placed in our room and he Mentioned that he helped the staff with carrying it into our room. This individual was not a staff member, but a man we frequently saw walking around the parking lot and mentioned he had nowhere to stay. I felt very uncomfortable that someone who was not a hotel employee had been in our room. Our next nights were loud, a group of men rapping in the hallway in front of our door and cigarette smoke coming in through vents in the bathroom. We had 1 night out of our 8 night stay comped. We will never stay here again.

2020-09-16My 3 friends and I booked 2 rooms. We will most definitely never return to this establishment. The property was not clean, it smelled old and mildew. My room was a complete joke. The sheets and curtains were absolutely filthy. There is no way this room was serviced. The carpet was black in places, the phone and remote control disgustingly dirty. There was a bandana over my smoke detector which I reported 3x, including security and nothing was done. They didnt take my safety seriously. I couldnt even get someone to come and change the bed. To top it off , the curtain didnt close so a bright light shined in the room all night. I could hear people in the lobby and outside area talking loudly. Needless to say, I never slept! During a pandemic I would think hotels would take cleanliness very seriously. The entire experience was completely outrageous. I would rather sleep in my car!

2021-05-26Positive: This hotel was the worst hotel experience I¿ve ever encountered. Negative: Worst experience. Room was dirty, walls nasty. Loud noises at night, people rapping right outside our door. A man who was not hotel staff was allowed in our room to help maintenance carry small refrigerator in that we requested. There was smoke smell
