What a disappointment! The drinks were terrible, we had a party of 8 and no one liked any of the multiple drinks that were ordered. Our reservation was before 8pm and they were out of half the menu. Our waitress said “this always happens on Saturday’s”, well, maybe order more food if your reservations are booked out. The food was mediocre at best, Olive Garden quality. A burger was cooked well-done on a medium order, then replaced with a raw burger because the chef felt bad about the over cooked burger. We basically cleaned our own table after every course and waited for the staff to come over, only to hand them what we cleaned.
Great service, excellent food. We got there on a busy day (canal days festival 2021). We were seated as soon as the busser cleaned the table, which was very quickly done after the people sitting there left. We sat outside (they also allow dogs outside) and even though its basically a parking lot view it was lined with flowers inside tall granite planters. So it was a much nicer atmosphere than just looking at the parking lot. Our server was very attentive and even replaced a mixed drink my wife didnt like without charging us for it. Dont know how many times in higher end restaurants they just charge you anyways. The food was very good and we loved the arancini! Oh and they put cucumber in the water which is different, but refreshing in the summer.
1st of all don’t even try to get in here without a vaccine card, they won’t let you in. Unfortunately they don’t mention that on the website!2nd we waited 15 minutes to see a server to even take a drink order.3rd don’t bother asking for any salad dressing other than a vinaigrette for the over priced $8 house salad.4th all entrees not served at the same time, half of our party of 6 waited 10 minutes after the first dish was served to receive their food.5th any food served in a bowl or semi bowl, well presentation Is awful the plate are a nice square plate while the semi bowls are different colors and actually look like a cheap plastic bowl that my children used before they could be trusted with anything breakable.6th once you’ve eaten the underwhelming food and received the bill you’ll be wondering how a place this can possibly charge prices like this. 4 adults 2 children and the bill was $318 with a tip that was too generous for the underwhelming meal our total was $400. It wasn’t the servers fault for any of this so she still gets a decent gratuity.I’m sorry but I’d never eat here again or recommend it to anyone!
We made an online reservation and drove two hours to come here but were denied entry due to not having vaccination cards on our person. There was no mention of this requirement in the three reminder emails I received, nor on the website. In order to see this requirement, you need to click on the See details for the COVID protocols that they are following. This was a pretty big change to whats been required for the last two years, so it should have been front and center. Manager still refused entry after we explained that we were vaccinated and drove specifically to come here. Overall frustrated with the experience and probably wont come here again.Oh yea, and the hostesses were not wearing masks. Like... what???
Our meals were Delicious! Best chicken parm ever. However, seeing a fee for using a credit card very much cheapened the experience. We know all businesses are charged fees for that. Just include it in the price of the meal. Especially as your prices seemed reasonable. We deducted that fee from a generous tip to our waiter like most folks will do. Get rid of that practice and stop looking like a penny pincher.
Food was extraordinary. However, the experience was cheapened by seeing a charge listed on the menu of 3.5% for using a credit card. Really? Perhaps you could boost your income by adding a sir charge for silverware rental? Just fold that cost into your meals like the rest of the world does. Adding that cost makes you look like a penny pincher instead of the high quality restaurant that you could be. I wish your delicious meals were not upstaged by your misorly charge. Get with the program.
Had our 4th dinner at Compane this evening and its not a 5 star anymore. 1-Waitress didnt introduce her name to us (in the past each server introduced themselves which most people appreciate). 2-Ordered a Thinman pilsner beer which tasted like an IPA. When questioned I was told this pilsner is hoppy, never heard that before. Plus you get a 12 oz glass not a 16oz pint. Wine at $10-14+ a glass should be more than 4 oz of wine. 3-It took over 20 minutes to get our drinks while we waited for friends to join us.. and then another 10 minutes to get a beer replacement. Cosmos/martinis come in miniature glasses. 4-Bread (pre-dinner) was half of what it use to be and very very thin slices. Hey folks, you run an Italian restaurant so how about some decent, fresh, hearty bread? 5-Pasta and Pizzas great as expected. It least this hasnt suffered (yet). Is this another great new restaurant that gets greedy by shrinking the size and quality of its amenities (drinks, bread, service) only to erode its once loyal customer base and slowly sinks into bankruptcy? I hope not.
I went to dinner there on Friday 1/29 with 6 people. The new space is fantastic. Really solid ambiance. The food was delicious and nobody at the table had a qualm. The opportunity I saw though was in the service. The wait staff was awesome, but the speed of how they churned the food out was way to fast (as odd as that sounds). I could understand that being the case if there was customers waiting to be sat, but that wasn’t the case. We were looking to have some drinks, a great meal and take our time. They easily could have gotten another round of drinks out of us if they slowed down. We walked in... had salad, entree and 2 drinks each in 1 hr and 4 min. It felt rushed.
Great location. Love the interior design layout. Looking forward to seeing the outdoor dining area in the spring. Chicken parm was tasty but a little dry. The extra sauce we asked for helped. Food was warm but not hot. Service was great. Very attentive waitress truly seemed to appreciate our business. Whats up with the 3.5% service charge added onto the check for credit card payments? No one does that.
Update: just heard Compane has decided to make patrons show proof of vaccination before walking in. We have been to this restaurant several times since my first review. You have just lost our loyal family of 7 for life. I hope you go out of business. I will never support a business that discriminates against anything especially the vaccine. Btw our entire family has the vaccine. This is just wrong. Did not work for Radio Social or Swillburgers and will not work for you.My wife and I went here for the first time with another couple. This place was awesome. Great service unbelievable food. I travel a lot for work and I am a big time foodie. This place definitely stand with the best restaurants in big cities. We will be back.
We were highly disappointed in our takeout meal from Compane Trattoria tonight. Had been excited to get a nice meal from a local restaurant, but were not at all pleased. Ordered 2 pizzas that we’re burnt on the bottom and crust. As a result they tasted dry, bland and burnt. The chicken Milanese was small and only fair in flavor. The Chicken Parmesan was good, but better quality can be found at other restaurants. I wanted to be able to give 5 stars to this local restaurant, but can only give 1.
Definitely a mixed review and mixed feelings. I even debated giving them a two but felt that dinging them with a three was enough during these COVID times. Great food, no value.First, let me say I welcome the new setting. So much more open and pleasing than their old location across the street. It actually was quite nice with the smaller # of tables in the physical space. With the high ceilings and lack of acoustical support, however, it will be quite loud when they are finally allowed to go to capacity and this is something the restaurant should definitely consider addressing while they have the chance. It will also be quite nice when the weather warms up and they have a chance to place tables outside on the strip in front of the restaurant. Well, youll be overlooking the parking lot, but at least it will be outdoors. As more places go into the building, this will become the place to be in Fairport. But this brings me to my first ding, and its not really their fault but the location itself. Theres simply no parking available in the small lot. We ate on a Thursday evening and though the restaurant was full, it was limited capacity, and I dont believe the other breweries were that busy. Right now you have two restaurants, two brew pubs, and a distillery in this facility with plenty of additional space for other places to go in. Frankly, its going to be a mess in the summer with crowds. Not the restaurants fault, but it will come back to bite all of the great pubs and restaurants in the facility as well as those to come. But enough of that, lets talk about the service. We were promptly seated and greeted. Our waiter was enthusiastic and did a great job (and was compensated well w/tip) for his service. The bar was slow, but they were busy so Ill forgive that. But the attentiveness of Josh, the speed of food delivery, and the attention to the table after the meal was superb. So lets talk about the food. We shared the arancini and dip trio as openers. Both were good, the arancini were superb. Cooked perfectly and the sauce was seasoned just right. I had the gnocchi, my wife had the swordfish (special Mediterranean style) and our dinner companion had the salmon (special). I cant say enough about the food. Everything was cooked perfectly, seasoned just right, and overall wonderful. So why only three stars (possibly less)? Well, it has to do with value. First, if you look at the menu online, it bears no relationship to what you see in the restaurant itself. Thats okay, except the online menu mirrors more closely what they used to serve across the street and it shows very moderate prices. The salmon we had was $30, the swordfish was $31, and the gnocchi was $26. Now the gnocchi is homemade and it was cooked perfectly so Im not going to grouse too much about a high price for potato flour but the fish portions were not overly large and as we often eat fish and prepare it at home, these prices were just too high for a local casual restaurant - even in the pandemic. But what made me start to write this review in the first place was the drinks. We started with a Smokestack for everyone - rye, maple syrup, etc. A wonderfully smoky and smooth take on a Manhattan. But when the drinks arrived, I could barely restrain myself from making a comment. They come in very cute glasses, a curved take on an old highball glass. But they are small (hence why I said cute). They would be small if the drink was served straight up. But these came with a large single cube in the glass. Classy, but it took up more than half the glass, probably 2/3. Remove that ice cube, and you dont even have the equivalent of a single shot. Its two good sips and the drink is gone. $12 for a half shot of rye. Tasteful, but completely disappointing. But perhaps not as disappointing as the 3.25% credit card surcharge that appeared at the bottom of the bill. Its not shown on the web site & I cant recall seeing it on the menu. Wasnt mentioned by anyone.
A CRIME! Our party of four dined here on a Saturday night after hearing nothing but amazing things. I’m normally not one to leave reviews, however, every person in our party left feeling taken for a ride, and felt the need to let others know. Our server Casey was wonderful, and the service was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable, so we did appreciate that. She is the reason I’m even giving this place 2 stars. We started by ordering 2 pizzas, which sounded delicious on the menu, but let me tell you, they looked like frozen Totino’s pizzas and for $20 EACH, tasted about the same. Next we each ordered an entree consisting of Bolognese pasta, salmon, and the burger. The pasta was DRY, flavorless, and also came out cold. The portion was meager especially for the price. The over-priced cocktails were lackluster and my friend didn’t even finish hers because it didn’t taste right. If you’re charging Good Luck prices for cocktails, they better, at minimum, semi compete. Bottom line, the ambiance and prime location by the Fairport canal must be what draws people to this restaurant to pay these exorbitant prices for cafeteria quality food. As someone that fine-dines frequently in Rochester, if you want to spend $200 on a night out, go somewhere where the quality backs up the cost.
Food: excellent /service: excellent /atmosphere: good… final bill/check - service charge 3.5% for using a credit card? really? who’s idea was that? add 3.5% to every item on the menu and no one would notice or care… been dining out for 30+ years and never been charged a service fee for using a credit card AND in today’s world, there are businesses moving to 100% cashless. all you’re doing is putting your server in an awkward position and turning off customers.. seems petty? sure is but thats not on the customer..
Most delicious dinner ever! We all had wood fired lasagna, and chicken and eggplant parmigiana. Lasagna was perfectly layered with sausage as the main flavor that popped with a kick of spicy and complimented with a sweet sauce. Huge serving.Parmigiana dishes were breaded and cooked perfectly and with the same sweet sauce with homemade pasta. Had the berry and carmel cheesecakes that we were told were from a local bakery. Hats off to the chef and staff. Great service and very friendly. Will spread the word and will definetly be back soon.
This place was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. My girlfriend and I went for our 4 year anniversary dinner and the whole experience was great. The owner greeted us and offered to take our coats and hang them. The atmosphere is cozy, comforting, and clean. The bar area was great with great selection of wines. I know people say this a lot when something good, but the calamari was the BEST that me or my girlfriend have EVER had. Melt in your mouth fresh. I didnt even dunk it in any of the sauces because it was so good by itself. The specials were amazing. She ordered the meatloaf wrapped in prosciutto, and made of beef, lamb and bison! I ordered the truffle cream pasta which was probably one of the best tasting things Ive ever had. There was about 8 different things on the menu that we still wanted try! We will 100% be going back. The owner talked to us on the way out and put on my girlfriends coat for her - very friendly and hospitable service. This is how you run a restaurant!
My first time here and it was excellent. The restaurant was fairly quiet being a Tuesday night but it was well staffed. I can understand how it might get noisy as it gets busier being very open with hard surfaces everywhere but its a lovely higher end casual feel. Some ceiling hangings might dampen that echo.I highly recommend the cider glazed salmon with crispy Brussels. The salmon was done perfectly having a nice grill flavor that paired wonderfully with the very slightly tangy cider glazed and the char of the crispy Brussels. I think I could easily eat a plate of the Brussels as a meal on their own.The bartender was friendly and happy to answer questions about all the food and the restaurant. They have definitely priced some of the entrees and specials on the higher end and based on the salmon i cant argue much though for that price range a wild caught salmon might be better. Though I cant quibble over $1-3difference Id suggest. It really was delicious. They do have pizzas and pastas if youre feeling less spendy.
The new location is a hugh upgrade from the former site. The repurposed American Can Building offers a retro style, New York City venue that adds the perfect ambiance to this newly redesigned restaurant. The larger bar area still looks over the kitchen and brick oven and offers a full ledge area around the side walls of the new space. There are several seating options, in a number of rooms that can be separated by hugh doors. The colors of a muted gray and soft lighting provide a warm and comforting setting for a delicious meal made fresh to order. The menu selections offer traditional pasta dishes to pizza named after some of Fairports original streets. Be aware that unless you want to pay a 3.5% Service Charge to use a Credit Card, take plenty of Cash with you. Thay was both a surprise and disappointment for us. Other than that, the food is delicious and the venue is just what the doctor ordered for some tradition pizza and pasta dishes. Make a reservation and enjoy the newly updated location, youll enjoy it.
The food was very good, and fair prices. Everything very well seasoned. Gnocci was perfect and the beet salad too. My husband loved the polenta and the crispy eggplant. I would go back again for sure, and recommend it. Service was fast, even though the place was very busy, and the waitress was friendly. I didnt give it 5 starts because the ambiance didnt wow me, decorations were a bit bland. I would give 4.5 starts.
20 of my friends/family and I dined at Compane on 4/7/18 for dinner, to celebrate my bachelorette. We had a wonderful experience. It was ALL of our first time there, the food was incredible and the service impeccable. Everyone was friendly and helpful from the first time I called a month prior to ask about a reservation for our large party, up until we were walking out the door after our fabulous meal. Highly recommend, I will definitely be returning!
My first time at Compane Trattoria and I couldnt be all the more thrilled. The space is beautiful, spacious, and perfect for social distancing without a worry. I had the scallop meal and the lobster spaghetti so delicious! also I could see staff following covid-19 regulations perfectly cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer everywhere. this is the perfect spot to go to if you really need to get out and have a nice dinner. Get lost in the beautiful atmosphere and also it just makes you forget about the craziness of covid-19. Everyone deserves a nice meal out and this is the perfect place to do it.
We sat at the bar and were the only ones at the bar. I expected excellent service. Yes, Ive waited tables. The food could have been great but the they had to substitute 1/2 eggplant for zucchini in my meal because they ran out. Not only that, but they overcooked it. It had been fried just a little too long. The prices were insane. I had water to drink and my date had a cocktail so it evened out. Overall with the tip it came to $76 some? Little steep if you ask me for a Brick oven Bistro.
Come for the food and stay for the drinks. Basically Campane is known for their brick oven pizza, but their menu offers many other Italian dishes. The wine menu appears to be fairly complete, however I’m a beer drinker and felt like the tap selection was fine.I had the Chicken Parmigiano which I really enjoyed, I even had leftovers because of the portion provided. My wife had a Sweet Pea Agnolotti, her meal looked great, but ended up tasting on bland side and sparse, leaving her less than satisfied. The wait staff was friendly and prompt. Everything we ordered came out quickly and without any mix ups.The atmosphere is clean and cozy, however we spent a good deal of our meals listening to a man next to us, who I assume was on a first date, bragging about how stellar he is at whatever he does for work. Which happened to be caused by our table-for-two being a bit too close. This seemed to be common throughout the entire dining area. The bar area is very nice and relaxing, laid out in a fairly comfortable arrangement.Overall I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a quaint evening out, but maybe stick with the basics when ordering.
I was excited to try this restaurant because I had heard such good things about it. The restaurant itself is beautiful and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and the service was great. But, unfortunately, I was very disappointed in the food.Everything was definitely overpriced, but if the food had been good, it would have been worth it. Everything is ala cart so the salad was an additional $6-8 and they only left 4 small pieces of bread at our table, but it did have a tasty oil mix to dip it in. The salad was delicious though. My friend and I had the Peas and Pancetta for $20. The serving size was generous but it was tasteless! After adding a ton of cheese and salt and pepper we were able to eat most of it. My husband had the Sunday for $19 and again there was a healthy portion, but he said it tasted more like canned spaghetti than the home made that they claimed. My friends husband had the Short Rib Agnolotti for $24. He said it was quite tasty but the portion size looked like it was for a child! So, all in all, a very disappointing experience and a waste of $100, which was our tab for dinner for 2 with 2 glasses of wine and 2 very small glasses of beer. We will definitely cross this restaurant off of our list for future visits.
This is a must visit, try, enjoy, etc restaurant. Definitely get their bread and dip - it’s amazing! The mixture of oil, cheese and vinegar is an explosion of taste and flavor in the mouth, and goes great with bread. I tried their pizza - large, well seasoned and just “what doctor prescribed”. I was pleasantly surprised. We had press-pot coffee with cannolis afterwards... both were good. Honestly, from their decor to our server Mickie (not sure of spelling), to service and food - we loved it all.
What an incredible find! Compane is a small restaurant that has a menu filled with fresh and homemade Italian dishes like Chicken Parmigiano, Wood Fired Pizza and more. I have tried both the Chicken Parmigiano and the Eggplant Parmigiano- both were incredible. The dishes come in a hefty portion size, so bring your appetite. The crispy calamari is also some of the best that I’ve had. During my most recent visit, which was on a Frdiay around 6pm, the owner was at the restaurant greeting every single table/ person. He personally came to our table 3-4 times to check on us, and even strike up a brief conversation about the process they use to make they’re fresh pasta and eggplant parmigiana. Fantastic food, well worth the price, and an owner who truly cares about the restaurant and it’s patrons. We will definitely be back!
Four in our party. Each of us very well pleased with the presentation and flavors of our meals. However, the complimentary bread was almost like cake. I prefer a heartier style of bread. One big concern was the noise inside. There are several sound absorbing panels on the walls but not nearly enough. I honestly could not hear each person at our table. Waaay too much noise and it became uncomfortable for me. Id place many more sound deadening devices on the walls, high & low. If I dont see more upon my next visit, Ill ask for a table outside or go somewhere else. But remember, very good food.
Yelp gave a 4 with the wait staff being poor. We found the staff was outstanding, ask for Chelsea. For drinks I had a glass of pinot noir, which was a very short pour for 10.00, very disappointing. The appetizer we chose was a roasted Brussels sprouts salad, it was the best thing we ate truth be told. The bread brought with the oil was too soft. For dinner we had the pan seared scallops with risotto and black peppered beef tornadoes. The scallops were good, not better than good, the risotto less so. The black peppered beef tornadoes were perfected cooked however extremely over seasoned with black pepper, almost like the jerky you buy at a gas station, so much so it took away from the meat. My second glass of pinot was less than the first, so on the third I asked to please give a full pour. When I received that, it was the make up for the two short pours.Over all, the experience was about a 3 of 5. For 94.00 it was disappointing. I tipped well because we like Chelsea. Would not recommend to friends.
I was really excited for my first Mothers Day out with my husband and our baby. My husband saw Compane had a Mothers Day Brunch going on until 2pm, decided to call earlier in the week, and was told they could give us reservations for 2:30pm- and that it would still be the Mothers Day brunch event. We figured they extended the hours since they were so busy and were excited nonetheless. When we arrived, about 5 minutes early, the parkinglot was near empty, but we were told our table still had people at it and we would have to wait about another 10-15 minutes. We thought it was strange there was a specific table just for our particular reservation since we didnt need or request a high chair, but didnt give it much more thought and just waited at the bar. When we were seated, we saw there were about 4 or 5 other 4-person tables just like ours that were empty- so it was odd that we had to wait specifically for our table, but again... no ill feelings just yet. We went up to the buffet and took turns staying at the table with the baby. I went first. It was clear that all the food had been sitting around for a while, which isnt terrible or unexpected, but none of the burners were even lit and NOTHING in the warming trays was remotely warm. I avoided the eggs benedict (that I was really looking forward to), tried a sausage link that seemed ok, and loaded up a few waffles, because, really- those cant be messed up or make you sick if theyve been sitting out, right? The rice balls were pretty good-- just would have been way better warm (or even labeled, as I had no idea what they were. Luckily Im adventurous.) I saw gravy, marinara, and something that looked like syrup in between, but when I swished the ladel around I realized it must be au jus for the meat at the nearby carving station. The lights were on the remaining chunks of meat, so I imagine that was at least kept warm. I didnt get the chance to find out.I took my cold waffles back to the table and joked that Id at least get my fill of bottomless mimosas to make up for the poor food choices (oh, I did!) I ate my dry waffles (there seriously werent any waffle toppings anywhere) while my husband went up to look around. He also thought about waffles but I didnt tell him I couldnt find syrup and thought hed figure it out. That darling man saw the au jus and dove in without thinking it could be anything else but syrup. He said the carving station guy looked at him funny but didnt say a word. I died laughing. Watching my husband eat waffles with au jus almost made up for the afternoon of cold foods that should have been kept warm, and warm foods, like the salad, that should have been cooler for sure. Almost. They did bring out a few pizzas while we were there, which my husband really liked, but I was in the mood for the rest of the brunch options they listed, not pizza; so I decided to try again and hit the carving station. In fact, it was only about 10 minutes after we were seated so I didnt think anyone would be packing up or stopping work on the buffet since there were other people who had just come in, like us. I saw someone walk away from the carving station and waited. And waited. And waited. No one ever returned and I didnt get to try the turkey or beef that I assume were the only still-warm foods out on the spread. No one behind the bar asked if I needed anything. No one went to get the carver. No one said or did much of anything other than our waitress who was so sweet and knew that this new mama could use a few more mimosas. We only stayed about 25-35 minutes since there was no fresh food coming out, and noticed that the carver had STILL never returned as we were leaving.Overall, we spent more than we normally would have at a nice restaurant for dinner/brunch, and this being a special occasion, we expected to. But we also at least expected to eat food that was warm, if not fresh. Unfortunately, Ill always remember this being apart of my first Mothers Day. Very disappointing.
Can not say enough about this place. Great ambiance, food was amazing and service was prompt and attentive. Would recommend to anyone thats into wine and an easy night out. We even brought a two-year old and were treated like royalty. A tremendous experience from a team that gets what it means to be in the hospitality industry.
Food was a disappointment but they have great customer service that made it right. I ordered takeout tonight and picked it up came home and opened it up to eat.. All of it looked old and soggy. Salad was completely wilted and the peas and prosciutto pasta was so bland and cold. However I do want to add that their server was extremely attentive to my complaint.
Compane is a romantic gem you should make your regular spot. It is under new ownership and seems to feel lighter and more open then when I was there over the Summer.Atmosphere: Its cozy and warm without feeling crowded at all. The bar area in the front is really beautiful with space to sit and have a drink, mingle or grab a bite at a high top. The decor is charming while still being modern and cool. The whole feel of the place is friendly and happy! Also, the bathrooms are pretty and very clean which is a key point for me.Drinks: The bartender, Rachel, was great. Even though there was a full bar everyone had a drink in hand. I didnt know what I wanted and she asked me a few questions and made me a delicious bubbly cocktail. Sitting at this bar with a drink makes you feel like one of the cool kids. What I ate: I tried a lot of food here because I like to eat off of everyone elses plate. We had arancini, artichoke French and meatballs for apps. All three were delish. I got the beat salad and I have to say this salad was AMAZING. I do not usually say that about salad but this thing was so so good. Big chunks of beet, goat cheese, some kind of perfectly toasted nut and dressed with the perfect amount of dressing. I thought about that beet salad for a week. Try it. For an entree I had the bolognese and it was right on. Im not used to having braised pork in a bolognese and it was lovely. I also had some of the woodfired pizza. It had the perfect crust, crispy on the bottom and soft in the middle. Also, the cheese was perfectly proportioned to the sauce and everything stayed in place.Service: Our waitress was Jen. She was wonderful. Very professional and attentive. Definitely gave the feel of a more expensive dining experience. Also the chef was circulating the dining room and bringing food out to people which makes you feel like a rock star.Overall take away: Go here is you want to feel special!
This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Village of Fairport. The food has always been outstanding as well as the service. I love that they are so gluten free friendly. They have gf pasta and pizzas. In my opinion the best gf pizza in the area. Love what they have done to the place, great bar area, outdoor seating in the back for summer time and now the outdoor patio in the front with the fire pits great for the Fairport Community!
Our favorite place to have wine and a meal in Fairport. The Galusha Pizza is a big favorite as are the Eggplant Caprese. We love sitting at the bar and socializing. Service is always good and the wine and drink list are always being tweaked. Great family owned business. Highly recommend it.
Horrible wait staff. Long wait both for seating and then for food. Wouldnt say this is authentic Italian. Plan on being there at least three hours for shoddy (or mediocre at best) service and food. And when your order is a long wait or incorrect, plan on not getting any recompense or caring thought about it.
Sat down and a customer behind me screamed at our party of 12 to shut up and aggressively verbally instigating an issue, the owner followed up by apologizing to him for “our” mistake and repeated him and treated us as if we were at fault. The gentleman attempted to physically raise a hand to me because I told him he was being disrespectful. Will never go again owner is a clown.
Would never order from here again. Ordered an $19 pizza from this establishment through GrubHub and the pizza came as stale, room temperature pizza missing the extra basil topping I ordered. I mean, the restaurant is a PIZZA restaurant and they cant even get that right.

2022-03-23Very nice atmosphere, we sat at the bar because it would have been an hour wait for the dining room. It took about 20 minutes to finally get a drink and then another 45 minutes just to order food. The one lady back there was running circles around the two guys that were working there. Besides the long wait times the food was very good and drinks were made well.

2022-02-16Consistently amazing food. The flavors are always rich and full. We started with drinks and fried calamari, love the crunch and the kick of spice from the pepper. I had the Chicken Milanese, it was fresh flavorful, crisp and seasoned perfectly. My date had the ravioli... Full of flavor, creamy and just perfection on a plate. We finished with the chocolate bread pudding with fresh strawberry gelato. The desert was serve in a warm vast iron pan, nice crusty top with a gooey chocolate pudding center....paired with the strawberry gelato... Just Perfection!

2021-10-27From drinks to dessert everything was very tasty, but the shining star was the oatmeal cookie cheesecake, do not sleep on getting a piece of that!! The new location is beautiful and am looking forward to the next meal. A gem of a restaurant in Fairport, check it out.

2021-09-04Noah did a fabulous job taking care of us! He makes you feel like he is glad that you are there and really wants to make sure that you have a great experience. And the owner was even making the rounds ensuring that everyone was more than satisfied with their meal and service. We had the veal parmesan and ravioli and it was magnificent. As much as possible, everything is locally sourced. And the pasta and sauces are made in-house, fresh daily. If you love Italian, you will love this place!

2022-06-18Very spacious, modern interior with large patio. Food was excellent! My ravioli was very tasty as was my husbands halibut. Pizza was larger than a normal personal wood fired pizza and cooked perfectly. Well be back!

2022-01-22Have had a wonderful meal each time we have eaten here. We would eat here more often, if only it were closer to where we live. Also, one of the safest dining out experiences weve had since Covid hit. Thank you for protecting us all by mask and vaccine requirements. I wish more restaurants in Rochester would do this.

2022-04-27I wanted to REALLY enjoy this place-i REALLY DID as its local and Im new to the area. Ordered the Primavera.... with NO cheese. They put cheese all over it. It said it came with sun dried tomatoes but there were only two very small sliced tomatoes in the entire HUGE dish and hardly ANY asparagus. Theres NO onion listed on the Menu ingredients yet or came with lots. I spent money and would DIE eating it cause I CANT HAVE ONIONS. Tried to taste the pasta...dry AF. The pizza I ordered for my son I didnt know they used GREEN instead of black olives.. they DO not list this. Just nonsense. Pretentious prices and we ordered takeout so we were home by the time I seen everything as the receipt of purchase listed everything I ordered just NOT what they said it would be. Waste of money. Nice bartender though. We sat down and waited there for the food to go. Not worth ever going again..

2022-07-05Chose to eat outside... a bit too loud inside. Menu seemed limited somehow. Service was attentive and pleasant. Her GF pasta was excellent; my pizza was OK. Marinated tomatoes were interesting - once. In sum it was good, but not delighted.
