Joe and his team did an amazing job renovating my basement, bathroom and bedrooms. All the work came out great and Im very happy with the job. It was done within the time frame quoted and the budget quoted. Before starting he gave me many options to try and save me the most money he could. He truly has the customers best interest in mind. JB general contracting did an Amazing job to my concrete sidewalks, Pavers in my driveway , Stuco on my foundation walls and beautiful Wrought iron railings.Joe the owner was Very professional and Extremely knowledgeable about all phases of my construction project.They started on time as promised and were very respectful of my property and neighbors. We have used JB multiple times. His prices are competitive with other contractors. They did concrete at my storefront over 10 years ago and we chose joe because he was the only contractor that could do the job in the time frame we needed. All other contractors told me 5 days A week or even longer. Joe came with a crew of guys AND KNOCKED THE JOB OUT IN 2 DAYS!!! The job was done right and held up perfectly all this time since then he has done the concrete inside my auto body shop a much bigger job that came out beautifully ,sidewalks at residential property’s and even a patio on my own home Always more than satisfied with jb

Joe and his team were professional, showed up on time, and, most importantly, did the job exactly as promised. The sidewalk was replaced and they closed did some custom iron work. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

After hurricane sandy hit my house it was a mess we had alot of garbage that needed to be picked up. Than I called J.B such good service they came shortly after my call. Ive called 3 times for an estimate for kitchen cabinets. Not 1 person from this company has bothered to call me back or even acknowledge that theyve received my messages. How unprofessional. Your secretary states that youve just been so busy. Busy ignoring potential new customers. Thank you for absolutely nothing.
Just a heads up to you all. This is my sidewalk after less than 1 year. Another great job done by JB General CONTRATING of Queens, NY. His (Joe) excuse was its the salt from the salt spreaders of the NY Sanitation. I guess thats my fault for subpar material or workmanship. Either way dont waste your time using him.

I found J B General Contracting on Angies List. I was looking for a mason to change out my front porch. J B General Contracting was one of the top 3 on that site that I met to get estimates and evaluate. After meeting all 3 and evaluating estimates and experience to that point, I made the choice to go with Joe and his teams at JB General Contracting. Right choice! His teams follow Joes lead in professionalism and goal to maintain the highest level of service and quality. I think it was a challenging job on an old house because I had one mason not even quote it in that top 3 that were on Angies list. They did their work quickly, cleanly and left behind only a beautiful front porch all at a fair price. thanks joe. See you in the spring to evaluate the rest of my mason to do list.

When I needed the back wall of my garage replaced, Joe was the first contractor that came to mind. I have used Joe on other projects and he did not disappoint on this one. Joe and his team were on time, were meticulous to the level of detail and discarded all debris. Joe was always kept me informed to the progress of the project. The back wall looks great. 2022-05-05Overall, I would highly recommend this company for your concrete needs, as the concrete looks good, the team was professional and responsive, the price was competitive, and the payment terms were reasonable. Due to my newly installed concrete, my front yard is appropriately sloped - no more puddles - and my front step now does not feel insurmountable as the cement matches the incline of such first step. The job started a day earlier (probably due to weather conditions but without enough notice) which could have been inconvenient as Im home with an infant and dog who couldnt eat or go to the bathroom as he was stuck in the house without the ability to walk outside; they did not provide a make-shift ramp for me to enter the house while the cement dried, as I requested. After the cement was dried and I could access my yard, the team forgot to allow my iron gate/access to my driveway, albeit the Supervisor was responsive and personally came to dig out both (at the outset, he told me to hit myself with a hammer which I thought was off putting). Lastly, I had my awning replaced and the awning specialist mentioned that the tressel that supported my former awning was not replaced when the cement was installed, which could have caused the awning to topple (I did not mention to Supervisor, but I am confident he would have responded and fixed). Nonetheless, I recommend this company and just warn that you have to watch and confirm that everything thay was moved is replaced/working after the job and my neighbor was impressed and requested their contact information, albeit another neighbor mentioned that the cement pattern was not straight and they dropped cement without cleaning same up on my draining system and iron gates.

2021-10-21JB General Contracting is amazing! Joe is a gentleman and advises you what you need and nothing more. Joe makes suggestions upon his experience and knowledge of the Job. His team of construction workers are very knowledgeable and professional, they speak very nice to you, they clean up after themselves, they measure and keep checking over their work, and make sure everything is right to the customers satisfaction. My backyard was very uneven and a lot of high and low elevations. JB’s team straightened everything out and is perfect now.I’m a neighborhood person and I highly recommend this company!Thank you JB!

2022-06-23Joe was very responsive to my call regarding work on the outside of my home. I have used him many times before and I always experienced his excellent workmanship. This specific time he and Moe demonstrated their high quality and efficient job to add a barrier around the side of my house and cleaning out my sewer pipes to expedite drainage.
