My husband Stefan got a cut and shave. He looks great and had a great experience! Ask for Mike, hes a hero and got mad skills with clippers and a blade! We visited Long Island to see the in laws for a week and needed a clean up before heading back to work the next Monday. Fast service, great price, and exceptional service!
A very friendly and inviting atmosphere. Mike is the best around, makes you feel right at home, and cuts my hair perfect every time. All the other barbers are equally as skilled. I highly suggest Cool Cutz!

Ive been getting my haircut from mikey since 2011. only guy i go to unless im out of town. he moved from lake success to south shore (merrick) and i followed him straight to his new place. i drive from FAR to see him. sometimes one hour with traffic. it doesnt matter bc hes the only barber i trust. he has clients from all over even jersey. he does a great job. his whole staff is wonderful, young fresh funny fly dudes. they all do a great job and theyre all very kid friendly. all the time i see entire families coming here, moms dads uncles and kids. when its back to school you have a long line of little toddlers. only barber shop ive seen that has such a wide spectrum of clients. they love what they do and never show signs of slack. mike does exactly what i ask and takes his time. all around great person also who always asks about my family, my health, and stays in touch. very personal as if he leaves town he will tell you exactly which dates hes out. he loves his business and ive never seen an unsatisfied customer! also he let me bring my dog here once and whole staff was incredibly friendly to him. good atmosphere and good vibes, and never a long wait.
Let me start off by saying that, on God, I have never in my life reviewed a damn thing.I tried this barber shop out because it was closer and a few dollars cheaper than my barber at Ace of Fades down the street.The guy who cut my hair not only cut my hair differently than I wanted, but he cut my neck up with his razor. At first I thought he just nicked me a little. But then he got nervous when I started to bleed.He kept saying it wasnt that bad even though I was sitting patiently watching him scramble around to clean up the mess.I didnt give him a tip because of his mistake and walked out. Once I got in my car I took a few pictures with my phone to get a closer look.Just a lil nick. Are you kidding me?! I had somewhere to be afterwards but its embarrassing to go out with my neck all chopped up.I will never go there again, and I would recommend that everyone avoid this shop!I usually get my hair cut at Ace of Fades as I said before. They give great haircuts, beard trims, etc. for only a few dollars more. And they have never cut me once in the 3 years Ive been going there. I regret trying out a new shop and if you dont mind driving a couple more minutes down the road then you should go to Ace of Fades.Ridiculous.(By the way, if you want to see pictures of their “fine work”, go check out my review on Yelp, just so everyone knows I’m telling the truth)
Ive been getting my hair cut by Mike for yrs. Ive followed him out to his new shop here in Merrick because no one cuts a head of hair like him. Great shop, great haircut! I highly recommend!

I was coming here for quite a while until I guess I got their back up guy and he legitimately butchered me taking an extra 15 minutes to stop the bleeding on my forehead and neck. If it were my kid in the chair I would’ve knocked the guy out.
Love this place. My husband and two sons go here and they always come out with a great hair cut. Everyone is friendly and they listen to what you want. Prices are fair. They take their time and pay attention to each customer.

This place rocks, the guys are great and the environment is clean and well managed. You sometime need to try different barbers to get the one that knows your cut. But once you find him, its a great experience.
I have been a long time customer of Mikes, I dont live close, but it is worth the drive, even if there is traffic. The service and haircuts are excellent, and the shop is clean and very nice. I highly reccomend this barber shop.

Mike is the owner as is a really nice guy but is clueless to how his employee manny treats his customers.waiting is part of life but being made to wait because they choose is wrong.and getting advice about religion from your barber is wrong,so please give your employees common sense or find a better location

2022-02-22Mike is the owner of the barber shop and he is a professional in styling and cutting hair. I am a very picky person in how I want my haircut and too many barbers in other shops messed it up countless amount of times. A guys hair is harder to cut than girls because it stands out even more when cut wrong since guys usually cut their hair short. Mike really listens to his customers by being open ears when customers explain how they want it cut and also he is a good person who is truly good to his customers. I can guarantee you that Mike is the right barber for anybody and he teaches his coworkers who work under him the proper techniques as well so they are all good. I recommend this barber shop without a shadow of a doubt.

2022-05-14Ronnie is our absolute favorite! He does a great job on all three of my sons, ranging in age from 5 to 13 years old. Hes especially patient and gentle with my 5 year old, who used to cry and insist on sitting on my lap, and now sits happily by himself for his haircuts with Ronnie. I dont trust anyone else to cut my kids hair. Youre the best, Ronnie! I also appreciate that he has always changed the channel on his tv to cartoons for the kids without me even asking. Thank you for your consideration, kindness, and consistently great haircuts!

2020-09-27Ive been coming here since i bought my house in Merrick 5 years ago or so. Today 9/27/20 i took my almost 2 year old for his second hair cut with the owner Mike. Excellent job, and great with kids, the wife and I are very happy with our sons haircut. I highly recommend this place. My father in law, brother in law and many friends come here as well. All are very please with the service and friendly staff. Thanks cool cutz!

2019-06-01Ive been coming to Cool Cutz for over a year now and drive from Queens because the experience is worth it. Mike the shop head is an absolute master barber and his staff is a hungry crew of young men who are fortunate to be in his guidance. Manny and Eliran do phenomenal work as well.The shop is very spacious with plenty of comfortable padded seating and each station has its own individual television and cable box, allowing the customer to choose whatever they want to watch. This dedication to user experience is amazing and the overall atmosphere at the shop is as well. There is a genuine sense of camaraderie amongst staff to each other and with the customer.There is also free parking in the back, and all the times Ive come here the wait is rarely ever more than 30 min, which is astounding for as busy as the shop gets. I would highly recommend this barbershop to anybody who is looking for a quality haircut and top notch customer experience.

2019-07-08I bring my son to Mike, and every time we leave, we are completely satisfied! My son is only 2, and Mike really knows how to deal with him and create a comfortable & fun experience. With an amazing haircut as the end result!!! Such a great atmosphere, everyone in there is so friendly. I recommend Cool Cutz 100%!!!!

2020-02-24At Cool Cutz they treat you like family. Quality haircuts with shave and hot towel every time. Perfect for kids and great environment overall. They always have multiple barbers working so not a long wait and if you do they have free wifi (always a plus!) Mike and the boys won’t let you down and you always feel welcomed there.

2019-06-30Finally found a barber shop for my kids and myself.. what an amazing outstanding staff.. first and for most i would like to emphasize on customer service.. the staff is very caring and take their time to provide quality work.. I’m very picky with my cuts and mike (the owner) always delivers above and beyond. Not to mention how amazing he is with 2 of my boys (3&7) always takes his time to make sure his work is perfection.The shop is very clean , staff is friends and I’m glad we found this shop. Will be recommending all my friends

2019-02-23My husband has been going here for a few years now (awesome cut each time) and insisted that we get my son’s first cut here. I absolutely see why now! Mike was wonderful with my son and we had a tear free first cut! Highly recommend!
