This is a great Real Estate Company! Rose Cipriano was our agent and she went above and beyond. She was very patient and took us to multiple apartments keeping in mind all of our requirements. We ended up finding our dream apartment and just moved in. I highly recommend this agency and her specifically!
This was my first time moving to NYC and that came with a lot of difficulties and questions. I worked with Jake Thomas who made the process simple for me. He was constantly sharing updates and was responsive at all times of the day to ensure I got the apartment I wanted.
My Girlfriend and I used Cooper & Cooper to help find our first apartment together. It was a very stressful process and at the recommendation from a friend, we turned to Cooper & Cooper. We worked with Lena who was amazing! She was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process. She went out of her way to make sure that my girlfriend and I were happy with the place we decided on.We had worked with other agents at other agencies who didnt come close to provide the level of service that Lena at Cooper & Cooper provided. We would definitely recommend her to anyone that is in the market for an apartment.
We partnered with Eric Brown to source an apartment in NYC and he was nothing short of a joy to work with. Hes professional, knows the city inside and out, made relevant and actually helpful recommendations to us, and was just a joy to hang out with. He guided us through a unique rental market and we cannot recommend him highly enough.
If you are looking for a fabulous agent--look no further! Kate Grumet found me my perfect apartment (and under budget!) after just one afternoon of looking at places. All six apartments she showed me met my criteria and I would have taken any of them. Kate so closely followed what I was looking for. She had another four lined up to show me but there was no need!Kate helped me apply to my apartment that same afternoon and has helped me through every step of the process since--from moving in requirements to setting up my utilities.I cant recommend her enough.
Cooper & Cooper was such a blessing. Jordan Cooper (one of the principals) contacted me himself in order to set up an appointment and really took the time to understand my needs, requirements, and deadline. Even though we were moving in about a month, we had to find an apartment that specific week due to other work commitments, which would only leave us one week before our scheduled move. Jordan set me up with one of the firms managers (Genevieve) and we met the next day. Genevieve met with us at our hotel and took us from the Upper East Side to the Lower East Side. We saw about eight apartments, all ranging in sizes, prices, and amenities. She was friendly, professional, organized, efficient, right on spot with the timings, and responsive. We made the decision to go with a wonderful complex in the Upper East Side, steps away from the subway station, within blocks of Central Park. Although it was on the higher end of our budget, we could not be more happy with our choice. Genevieve even managed to negotiate our monthly rent down and include two years of free gym membership in the building (savings of $1200!). Jordan personally attended the lease signing in order to answer any question we might have had and show support. Cooper & Cooper even offered to oversee the movers if we were too busy! In any case, our experience with Jordan and Genevieve could not have been any better. My wife and I felt like they really cared about us and about their reputation. Every firm has good agents and bad agents. But we thank Cooper & Cooper and know we wouldve never found this complex without them.
I had the great fortune of working with Lindsey Pressner for two real estate transactions (a rental, and then a purchase) in the last 6 months, and I cannot endorse her and the rest of the folks at Cooper and Cooper highly enough. Lindsey is always available to answer questions by email or phone. She worked super fast to coordinate showings for places I was interested in, responded to my feedback to find an apartment that fit my tastes, and went above and beyond to coordinate all aspects of the purchase and make sure everything closed smoothly, quickly, and painlessly. Speaking from months of experience working with her, I would recommend Lindsey and her firm for all of your real estate needs, rentals, purchases, and sales!
I chose to work with Cooper and Cooper because of their high ratings on Yelp. However, they scammed my roommate and me, quite seriously into an illegal two bedroom in Manhattan.C&C assigned Joseph Tuttle to help us find an apartment. Joe was dismissive of our preferences: he restricted our search to only one neighborhood although we asked specifically for others, and he pushed us to the edge of our budget, lying to us about what we could get for our money. As new college grads, we didn’t know better, but having lived here in the city now for several months, we are much more savvy about prices. We have found strictly better places for cheaper than Joe showed us.Joe helped us look for 2 bedroom apartments on our specified day, and all of the listings were unacceptable. However, he pressured us into deciding by the end of the day, repeating “The market moves fast.” Joe assured us that one particular apartment was the best value. He also told us that apartment was the only one we were guaranteed to get because C&C was the exclusive broker for that building. Based on this information and not wanting to submit multiple applications, we chose that apartment. However, the apartment was illegal. One document for the building is invalid with the NYC Department of Buildings. This is because our apartment was not up to code. One of its floors had a “window” that had been completely carved out of the ground, which means it did not qualify as a real bedroom, as Joe had advertised to us. The floor was completely flooded when we moved in, and it had not been when we initially saw the apartment. Further, Joe neglected to mention that there would be construction scaffolding put up only two weeks after we moved in. As the exclusive broker for the building, he reasonably had access to this information and did not tell us about it. The scaffolding left our garden completely unusable and took away all of our natural light. Why did Joe push us toward this apartment even though Cooper and Cooper knew it was illegal? It was so Cooper and Cooper could collect a double broker’s fee, from both us, the tenants, and the landlord of the building.Do not do business with Cooper and Cooper. They don’t have your best interests in mind.
I worked with Kate Grumet in finding a three-bedroom apartment in NYC and Kate was very professional and quick to respond to the three of us throughout the entire process! We are first-time renters and she made sure to understand our criteria precisely and answer any questions we had about finding the apartment, also helping a lot with lease negotiation. I would highly recommend Kate to anyone trying to find an apartment in the city!
Amy Hershman at Cooper and Cooper was absolutely fantastic in helping us throughout our real estate buying process. She arranged a tour of all the available units, helped us limit those to the most valuable and best target units in our price range, and then convinced the other side to sell to us.Her efforts didn’t stop there – she referred us to the right mortgage lender who provided excellent service and then she personally made sure the walk through was efficient, and addressed every potential concern.Amy exceeded all of our expectations!!!
Marsha was the worst. We gave her very specific criteria as to what we wanted in an apartment, and she either showed us places that were much cheaper than what we wanted and under budget or places fancier than what we wanted and over budget. Im not sure why she was unable to find a place within our budget that we would actually want. She showed us the same place multiple times and argued with us that we hadnt seen it yet.She wouldnt help us negotiate our apartment price down (probably just wanted to keep her broker fee high) and when we had a pet dispute with our landlord, because initially we had talked about getting a dog, she blatantly claimed to have forgotten that we wanted a dog despite several and repeated conversations in which we talked about Bernese Mountain dogs. Most brokers are terrible, and this is another one that you dont want to give your money to.
Courteous, professional, fair and honest. This was such a great experience. I am used to brokers and agents acting as impatient sales people and the associates at this firm could not be further away from that. They work with your budget, provide honest feedback and have very fair broker fees.If you are looking for an apt in NYC, you are in good hands with Cooper & Cooper. My interaction was with Jennifer Nau and I highly recommend her if you are looking for something on the UES.
My agent never showed up to show us apartments, she had us meet the building managers and when we couldn’t secure the apartment I wanted I never heard from her again. Ended up finding someplace on my own. I heard great things about this agency so I don’t know what happened.

2022-04-21My girlfriend and I were trying to move to the city and get a lease fast. We saw many places and got scammed twice. We decided to change tactics and find a reputable broker first. We saw the reviews here on Yelp and reached out to Cooper & Cooper. They introduced us to their agent Katie Van Brunt, who is quite good at what she does. She got us showings super fast, got the paperwork through fast, and got us in an apartment within a week. And it was exactly what we were looking for. Great job, Katie!

2022-04-13If you used Cooper & Cooper to help you, and they did a great job for you, that is fantastic, I am very happy for you and your family, But for me I felt that they didnt even care enough to help me, I was told by the broker that he couldnt help me, and no other real estate companies wont be able to help, but Cooper and Cooper were wrong I went to another Realty company and they did everything they could to help me, they found me a rent controlled apartment. I am grateful this other Real estate company cared enough to help me, even though my credit wasnt good. I would like to say to Cooper & Cooper, listen to your clients needs and try to help them, Care about your clients more, not just the rich, but the poor people that also needs help, and encouragement. I went through a lot when the pandemic hit us hard, and the other Company I used, really guaranteed a apartment for me in less than a week, they found me two apartments, This company knew I needed to move desperately and they did a fantastic job for me. Cooper and Cooper please help your clients with care, emotional and support. Its crazy because they said you were the top Real Estate agency, What happened to services that you were supposed to provide for me, I am so disappointed in your company.

2022-05-13My experience was great thanks to Amanda Rust. She went above and beyond to look for the perfect apartment during peak season. She was always available, great attitude and provided insights and advice. She even toured with us during a storm and championed it! Keep the great job Amanda! You guys have a star!

2022-02-14Please-please do not use this company. Cooper&Cooper has no integrity, they do not care about people, they dont care about the quality of the property management companies they work with, and they will mask any issues and throw you into a disastrous living situation. This company lied about questions I asked about a building before i moved into it. Theyll promote a building as a having a live-in super that doesnt have one, theyll tell you that there are no cockroach/pest issues on file by any residents even if it is not true. This company will lie and try to rent you in any building regardless of any underlying issues. Please use this review to not go through the hell that I am currently going through because of being misled by cooper & cooper. Below are photos of my apartment on my second night living there. The property management company is Hubb property management, steer clear of them. If a unit you may like is listed by this company, I would keep scrolling.

2021-01-16I was lucky enough to be paired with Robert Pucciariello of Cooper & Cooper while on the apartment hunt. Robert was an absolute joy, and was so pleasant to work with.Robert was quick to respond to my (many) questions, understood/respected my budget, and made sure I had everything I needed to make sure I was comfortable in my new space.I am so thankful that Robert was my broker for this new apartment. The NYC housing market can be intimidating when looking for a new place - but rest assured you will be in great hands with Robert - he is hands-down the best broker I have ever had the pleasure to work with.

2021-02-02I worked directly with agent Robert Pucciariello from Cooper & Cooper Real Estate. My experience was exceptional end to end. Robert was swift and attentive in our initial correspondence and accommodated a last minute apartment showing. He was on time, adhered to covid safety protocols, and truly listened to my requirements.I discovered Robert to be an experienced, honest, and hard working professional in the industry. You will be in terrific hands if you rent or purchase real estate with this company. He provided we with the tools and information I needed to have a smooth and seamless application process. His office has garnered a working relationship with top management companies in the city. The existing infrastructure of Cooper & Cooper’s network of buildings allows the renter to move through the application process with total confidence and ease. He also made himself available anytime I had questions or concerns. My turnaround was fast. From seeing the apartment for the first time, to moving in, it all happened within one week. Robert’s attention to detail and follow through made my experience a positive and painless one. He genuinely cares. He followed up with me a week after I moved in, just to make sure everything was going well.I highly recommend Cooper & Cooper Real Estate and specifically agent Robert Pucciariello.

2021-01-15I worked with Robert Pucciariello who helped secure the apartment I wanted in less than a week! There was quick communication between the leasing office and Robert/Cooper and Cooper to get the deal completed. If there is anything you need answered about the lease or property you will get a response as soon as possible. I would definitely recommend.

2021-01-09Robert Pucciariello went above and beyond to find our ideal apartment in Hell’s Kitchen! When the first apartment he showed was not quite to our liking, he listened to what we were looking for and found some great alternatives to consider, ultimately showing us our dream apartment. He was also very communicative when liaising with the leasing office and helped us lock in our lease in less than a week!
