Great RV Park. The owners and staff are friendly, professional and accommodating. We arrived with a broken leaf spring on our 5th Wheel. They assisted us in locating local resources to get us back on the road. They moved other incoming guests to other sites because it was too dangerous to move the rig. During this time they were patient, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Besides that the park is clean, well maintained and the privacy is exceptional. Without hesitation we would recommend this place. It was fate that brought us here.
We stayed a week in our fifth wheel with FHU. Positives: Our site was very large, with nice grass. Owners were very nice & very visible throughout our stay. Laundry facility was nice & reasonably priced. Garbage pick up was a perk. Nice to have arcade & rec room. 60/40 mix of seasonal to visitors, but seasonal were very friendly. Negatives: No free WiFi & TV reception was poor. Pool was nice to have, but needs some work. We have been full time for a year & this is the one of the highest priced places we have stayed & we have stayed a resorts & near National Parks. Received a Good Sam discount, but no weekly discount as with other places we have stayed.
This place was pretty nice and we enjoyed our time. We werent able to use the pool because it is only open during the day when we were off doing activities, and I couldnt get a single drop of hot water to come out of the showerheads, but otherwise a good Place to stay with a nice laundromat, clean bathrooms, and a nice private pond.
Our first time visiting, and it wont be our last!!! We had such an awesome time here thanks to Frank, Cathy and Rachel. Greeted so nicely when we stopped in looking for an RV park several weeks ago and was luck enough to get an opening for 5 nights. We had to go today and hated to leave as they were having a 2 week Halloween social starting!!! We cant wait to return next year!!! Being only 2 hrs away, Im sure we will be making several trips back. If you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful place with friendly owners & guests this is the place to come and enjoy. So looking forward to our return.
We had a wonderful time! We had a full hook-up site at A4. First time there. VERY clean, loved the grounds, very well maintained. Level site, quiet, but you could tell everyone was enjoying themselves. Seasonal residents have the cutest sites, all decorated so nice! Owners were very pleasant and helpful! We will be back! We enjoyed the pool, everyone adhered to the rules of limited guests. Due to covid, we couldnt enjoy the rec hall, or the game room, cant wait till we can! Store was open and had great items. Thank you for the hospitality Cathy and Frank!
This is an awesome campground to stay at the staff is very friendly and the owners are also very friendly the cabins are nice and well maintained and theres lots to do for the kids to go swimming playground or just hanging out and theyve also got no license fishing there So come enjoy shadow brook kickback and relax
We just spent a week there and had a great time. The owners were wonderful, friendly and very accommodating. The campground was very well maintained and clean. We brought our dog too! Camp was very pet friendly and the only campground in the area that allowed pets in rental units. Great little fishing pond, my son caught 71 fish the week we were there! Only 10-15 minutes from Baseball Hall of Fame. Highly recommended! We will definitely go back!
We spent our first trip in our new RV at Shadow Brook campground in Cooperstown NY, we were so lucky to find this beautiful camp a few miles outside of town for our first trip. The owners Frank & Cathy couldn’t be more helpful! Making sure our site was ok or if we needed anything. From making the reservation at short notice to the beautiful spot right on there pond. We spent a wonderful Fourth of July weekend there. We will definitely be back
This campground is super clean with very nice accommodations. Sites are level and roomy. The owners, Frank and Cathy, are friendly and willing to help make your stay enjoyable and fun! Super convenient to Cooperstown. Plenty of local farms with roadside stands! I would definitely recommend this campground.Diane and KathyFlorida.
Me and my friends had a fantastic weekend here. Theres a pond for fishing, a pool, a whole arcade, a gift shop, a play ground, awesome cabins and so much more. The cabin we were in had a birds nest with some baby birds! It is a way to connect with nature while still enjoying the comforts of home. Highly recommend and will be going again.
This is a very well maintained campground with nice sized sites. We were in site A5 which had some shade and a good layer of level gravel. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. There is a mixture of long term and travelers at the park. The campground provides WiFi. We did not have any cell coverage in the park or surrounding area.If you are going to visit the National Baseball Hall of Fame be aware that transportation to Cooperstown should be arranged in advance if possible. There is a good explanation of the transportation options on the campground website. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
What an amzing campground. The staff were wonderful and friendly. They also had a lot of knowlage about what was around and when were the best times to go. The campsites are large and have lots of room. The prices are very reasonable. My only complaint is I wish the pool stayed open later. (They close at 7pm). We actually came back here on our way home after our first experience because we like it so much. Lots of greenery if you like that. Its no city campground where you are up each others rear end thank goodness. I am so thankful for the staff and really enjoy ourselves here. We deliver and set up campers for a living so it takes a lot to impress our family. We have seen some amazing campgrounds and some horrible ones. This one is very good. Thank you guys!!
Owners are friendly and accommodating .. the facilities are very clean. The person in line in front of me didn’t have a long enough electrical cord ( we have all been there!!) offered to lend them one!! Guy decided to buy his own . When we bought our extension , different place, owner was quick to ring it up!! Thanks for a great stay!!
This was our first time at this campground and our first time setting up our newly purchased travel trailer. The owners were very helpful answering our questions, giving us a pull-through site, chaperoning us to our site, offering to let us borrow a sewer hose when we found ours mangled and had to toss it. The campground is very quiet, probably because it is smaller than the larger resorts weve been to. They dont allow campers to bring in golf carts, but the campground is small enough where you dont need one. The restrooms are very clean and campers are friendly. The pond has great fishing and they rent paddleboats (I suggest bringing your own life vest...theirs are a bit gross.) The general store isnt huge, but its got lots of gifts, souvenirs, toys, some basics and emergency supplies. In a pinch, firewood & ice can still be purchased after the store closes at 8pm. ⛺
Spent this past week at Shadow Brook Campground and enjoyed it very much. It is well kept, clean and close to the Baseball Hall of Fame. The owners are very friendly, stopping by our site during the course of the week to chat. The extras such the birdhouses in the trees, the plants and flowers, and the seats with tiki torches at the lake are nice touches. We definitely recommend this campground without hesitation.
Obviously my camping experience was not a good one! It wasnt the facility but the owners that were the issue. Would never camp there again. I believe its time for the owners Frank and Cathy to sell out to someone who enjoys being around people and enjoys what they do. Since my experience with them Ive reviewed many posts on Yelp, trip advisor and Google. Heres what Ive found...not many complaints but when you look at the complaints its all about how the owners treated their customers! Thats a big issue! If you have a problem at any campsite you dont want that problem to be the owners! Stay away dont take the chance.
Shadowbrook is the perfect campground for all ages. There is swimming, an arcade, and a large catch and release fishing pond with huge catfish and bass. The owners are very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. It is a true family campground with very friendly campers.
Best campground! Nice grassy sites with trash pick up twice daily. Really nice owners. Every immunity you could need. Pool, basketball, volleyball, recreation room with pool table, ping pong, TV, couches and games, paddle boats and arcade! Tent, RV, Cabins and Seasonal sites. They also have a store that has anything you could need. Fantastic experience!
My husband and I originally had a reservation at Cooperstown KOA; however we were extremely disappointed with the unfriendly greeting at check in. We called Shadow Brook and immediately sensed a huge difference in Shadow Brook’s professionalism on the phone! I’m so glad we found Shadow Brook! The owners are super friendly and accommodating! These owners really make their guests feel at home! I will be back to Shadow Brook and will let my entire camping friends know about them!
Looks nice when you drive in but the spots are not well kept and the mosquitoes are so bad that we couldnt go outside. It was like parking on the road and we had a deluxe full hook up spot. We left after one night even though we paid for two. It also was twice the money of the state campgrounds park which was SOOOO much better!
Would have rated it a five if not for the location of our fire pit and we werent allowed to move it. Frank, Kathy and the entire staff were helpful, very courteous and available. From the first time I called to make reservations up until the end, Shadow Brook was very accommodating. Will definitely return
Quiet, clean, and very friendly camp ground. Bathrooms were spotless, staff was helpful, and it was wonderful to hear some of the farm animals near by! We had to check out a few hours after the required time and the owners were very accommodating in working with us and our time schedule. Would love to go back and spend more time! Lots to do around the area.

2022-06-26Beautiful family Campground with lots of community joy and good engagement. Great access to the lake at Glimmerglass state park 5 minutes away. Downtown Cooperstown is 17 minutes from the grounds. We arrived for a two night stay. My sons baseball tournament in town brought us here. The people at Shadow Brook are kind, helpful and we enjoyed our escape a great deal. Smore night by the fire was fun, the general store has enough to keep you going in a pinch and lots of friendly dogs roam the park with their owners. Its all very calm and wonderful. Somehow great campgrounds like this know exactly how to slow time down and appreciate the finer things in life.

2022-06-19This is a peaceful park with a pond, nice laundromat, clean showers, good camp store and level sites. There is access by taxi to Cooperstown. As others have noted, the owners are extremely helpful at solving any problem that comes up. One small suggestion for the future: consider adding a shower stall to the more distant bathroom, rather than having the showers limited to the office area.

2022-06-26Beautiful spot to camp, but the new owners ruined it. Gary is very disrespectful and steals. Added an extra charge for people and pets who were not there. I explained to him that was wrong and he said do I have proof, if not he can’t help. You charged me wrongly, and now you can’t fix your mistake. 125 extra dollars later, these new owners are money hungry. I would not recommend.

2022-06-28This little campground is beautiful. Everything is well kept and landscaped. The pool, swing set, and other kids activities are dated, but it honestly adds to the charm.

2022-05-23It has the potential to be a nice campground but sites were not mowed which is A big turn off. The owners were very nice and we wish them all the success in the future.

2022-05-23The new owners were very pleasant! The only downfall was the lawn was not mowed, and the bugs because of that were so bad that we left a day early.
