I just had dinner at Copperhill tonight, and I cannot begin to describe how absolutely AMAZING everything was. We started with a drink at the bar, fantastic service. We moved to a table, server was sweet as pie. I tried the Bad Seed cocktail…LOVED it! The toast trio…a light and delicious app (the barata and honey was my favorite!). I had the duck for dinner and I’m still thinking about it. The ability to create such a flavor explosion that you can taste in every bite is magic. We closed it off with the Apple crisp and it did not disappoint. If you haven’t been here to eat, you’re missing out! Highly recommend!!
The night before my wedding memorial day weekend 2022, I had my rehearsal dinner at Copperhill in their private back room. To say Copperhill exceeded my expectations would be an understatement! The food was prepared for 50+ people and everyone commented on how amazing the food was. The ambience was absolutely perfect, and the whole planning process and experience with Copperhill was so easy and pleasant. I could not recommend Copperhill more :)
Every once in a while, I like to try new places to see how they are. I love my standard go to places however, tonight I just added a new restaurant to my favorites.Copperhill offers you a very eclectic dining experience. The restaurant atmosphere itself was just so nice, I was looking around right away thinking about my next visit.... and I wasthere only 5 minutes. The staff are all so wonderful. Cassie our waitress was just amazing. She comes to the table tray to get you excited about your dining experience. She brought such a wonderful presence to this restaurant. She gladly took our drink orders and was back in a flash. She made sure that you were all good with your drink, no empties!Cassie have us some great suggestions for dinner as well. The food here is just so all amazing. From the presentation to the taste. We started with a wonderful charcuterie board that had prosciutto, a smokey style sausage (I shouldve asked what it was) it was so delicious 😋, and another meat as well...maybe cappicola? We also had a board with thick toasted Italian breads covered with crab meat, cheese and another bread that i can not recall. Dam IPAS. Also in the first round were these amazingly delicious figs wrapped with bacon in a balsamic reduction. (OMG Delicious). THEN.... for the next round. I went with the buccatini pasta in a delicious carbonate sauce...oh boy! For dinner, oh yes, I wanted more pasta. I ordered that Parpadelle pasta in a lamb ragu...delicious!!!!All our guests just raved about their food selecting, from hanger steak to scallops, which were 4 nice sized scallops! Check out my pics, then had over to Copperhill and ask for Cassie!
Over Memorial Day Weekend 2021, my wife and I held our wedding ceremony and reception at Copperhill. The overall experience provided by Bari and her team was first-class from start to finish! At the time, we were living in San Francisco, CA, and planned most of the celebration from nearly 3,000 miles away. Bari was detailed oriented, gave excellent advice, and made the day special on so many levels. The flexibility she provided by meeting over Facetime, discussing pricing options, and plans for inclement weather made all the other details come together for our big day.We celebrated with 40 members of our family and friends in the private back room. The evening was perfect between the delicious fresh food, heartwarming service, and lively entertainment. We look forward to celebrating many more milestones at Copperhill with Bari and her team, as they have our total trust!Best, Nolan & Kat Hickey
What a GREAT find for Long Island!! Portions are good and the price is quite reasonable for the calabre of restaurant it is. My sister and I went there for the 1st time. They gave us a 4-top table -nice! The drinks were AMAZINGLY unique & delicious! We split a Starter, each had a Salad, and split a Pasta w/Crabmeat dinner - which had a lot of crab on it, btw. Portions were decent enough to do this and Im not a very light eater. The bar was full - people eating there as well. Atmosphere is sophisticated-casual, with an open feel. We were casual, as wed been walking in a beautiful local park/garden before we went there. Wed come at the beginning of a new menu/season. The menu is quite limited because its fresh Farm-to-Table food. They add specials as the season changes she explained. But let me say, the food is excellent and unique! Salads are phenominal as well!! I only wish they opened earlier than 5 pm. Id love to pop in there on my way home from work and grab one of their salads for dinner or go for lunch/ brunch!
Today 5/04/22, my family had a very disappointed dinner at Copperhill restaurant. First the service wasn’t that great! We waited for everything, even the water for a long time! Then the food we ordered including the bread was very greasy, salty and over priced!!! Very very disappointed! starters salmon curdo and burrata tasted only okay, 3 main dishes bucatini+crab, wild mushroom and lamb chops: the lamp chops costed us $38.00 with only two small pieces, wild mushrooms were so little that sitting on top of a big puddle of oil, the bucatini? Compare to other two dishes seemed a bit better, but it was too salty from my opinion! I was looking forward to this dinner for a birthday dinner, when I was told there was a 25 dollar charge only to cut the cake, this destroyed all the fun to bring the cake to the restaurant! Anyway, couldn’t find any reason to go back to this restaurant! The only good thing for this restaurant is probably they have a parking lot on the back!
Honestly quite disappointing. From the outside, Copperhill presents itself as a sort of high end restaurant, the menu prices reflect that. Unfortunately where they fall short is their service and their food. The wild mushroom with polenta was drowning in oil but the taste was pleasant. The lamb chops were $38 but when they arrived with only 2 lamb chops which we cut to become 4, I was pretty speechless. The bucatini with crab was probably the only enjoyable entree since they gave a good amount of crab meat and pasta. As for the two appetizers: burrata and the salmon crudo, taste wise i would rate 6/10 but presentation was lazy and sloppy for the price. 2 apps, 3 entrees, 1 cocktail and 1 mocktail came out to 180 with tip. Definitey pricey for what you get! Also, we weren’t offered any dessert menu after our meal even though I saw other tables had been given dessert. I think their main upside is they have a huge parking lot. Atleast parking isn’t stressful! Overall, I wouldn’t recommend to anyone unless you don’t value your life. Treat yourself better.
Our first Copperhill experience was on a crisp fall day, and it was a memorable one. The decor is that of a modern farmhouse, and is aesthetically pleasing. The food was fantastic we enjoyed the buttermilk chicken sandwich that puts any of the fast food variety to shame thanks to its crisp coating and juicy interior on a delicious bun with a wonderful sauce. The BLT was amped up with perfectly ripe avocado, the crab roll was bursting with freshness. The salmon and hanger perfectly cooked all accompanied by either awesome fries or chips. Highly recommend.
Love this restaurant. 3rd time coming here. The menu always changes, so different options are available. Farm to table. Inside and outside dining available. Great atmosphere and great selection of food & drinks available. Parking on site. I highly recommend this place. My favorite was the lamb chops with babagunush entree, they havent had that in a while though... that was why I fell in love in the first place. But the other two times I had the skirt steak and then the hanger stake which were both delicious. They really need to bring that lamb chops entree back though. My Instagram is @zarinazzzgab feel free to follow me
Had a dinner at Copperhill tonight, very disappointed! Small portions, very greasy and over priced!!! A $38.00 lamp chops dish was only two small pieces of meat! All the dishes we ordered tonight, the chef seemed pour half bottle of oil on them! Never come back to this restaurant again!
Great and friendly staff from the start! Great interior design. For brunch, we ask to be seated in a corner and near the windows and they accommodated us well.Food was good. I got the eggs benny. They were okay. Another person in my party got lamb burger which looked great. Great Brussels sprouts salad!Egg Benny was okay. Oyster Nachos were good.
Came here for Sunday brunch. The service was friendly and attentive. Decore is very rustic and modern. The clothespins on the table reminded me of the French Laundry. We ordered 7 different dishes and they were all delicious. I had the Hanger Steak, it was cooked just right and the potatoes are amazing. Highly recommend!
Wow... what a place! A friend of mine has been raving about this place for a few years... boy was he right. The party I went with decided to order a bunch of dishes to share... at the end of the day it was a great option as we were able to all try a little of the amazing dishes! Nothing disappointed!! The favorite dishes were the poutine and the ramen cacio e pepe... yes ramen cacio e pepe... amazing combination! Definitely try this place out!
Very good modern American with French influence in Williston Park. The restaurant itself appears to be a turn of the century farmhouse that has a wrap around porch and a wheelchair ramp. There is ample parking in the back and they even have a private party room.Upon entering, the lighting itself focuses on the Bar area where you will find about 16 seats. I can understand why they focus on the bar as there is a menu of creative drinks. I had the Bees knees, a gin based drink with hints of lavender. Very tasty. The food was good overall and the prices seem reasonable for the food. We werent planning on ordering wine so we didnt pay too much attention to the wine list. Beware the dinner rolls, they can easily fill you up, but they are tasty enough that you dont realize you keep reaching for them. Our favorite dish of the night was easily the Foie gras pate. It is a rich and flavorful dish, slightly spicy, hitting all the notes on the palate.
Amazing got to say the service here is prob the best I have ever experienced in my life...all the waiters were extremely nice....had the chicken sandwich and it was delicious crispy on the outside and tender within.... everything was homemade and great. Will def come again in the future.
Thank you for the service and the food was amazing. Next time, pls make the kids burgers a little bit smaller because they were a bit big. But tbh, it was amazing. The chicken was organic and it was really good. The setting of this place is really cute too. Kind of like a small outhouse. Real cool. The furniture is good too. We especially loved the servers, as they were nice and came to us if we had questions. One guy in particular, I think it was Tim, really helped us. We really appreciate it. And we hope to come again!!😀
Ive passed this place (and its predecessor) so many times, often wondering what it was like inside. Last weekend we had a chance to go with some friends to celebrate a birthday. First of all, ample parking in the back and without the need to valet. Second, you enter into a beautiful space that was mostly illuminated by candlelight - romantic. The decor was tastefully minimalistic. The scene was set for a wonderful evening. For appetizer I had the cheesy ramen noodles - cacio e pepi style. As anyone who eats ramen knows, is the noodles that make the dish. The noodles were surprisingly good - springy and with a good chew. They were tossed in a sauce that was creamy and thick instead of a soup that was light and brothy. For my main, hangar steak with a side of kimchee fried rice. What? Yes, fried rice made of the spicy Korean fermented cabbage. Couldnt pass that up. Steak was tender and tasty, maybe a touch too salty for me. The rice was ok and the kimchee was pretty authentic, but one out of a million varieties thats good but not great. Dessert was ice cream in a pastry tart. It was good, but not overly memorable. The place was pretty quiet but we were probably that loud and obnoxious group that night, based on a few looks we got from a few other patrons. Service was good and attentive. Im glad I finally had a chance to check this place out!
Can’t thank Bari and the staff at Copperhill enough! We had my sisters bridal shower here over the weekend and it was absolutely beautiful. So classy! We are still getting messages on how awesome of a place Copperhill is from the details at the bar all the way to the food, it was spectacular. I HIGHLY recommend having a party at Copperhill. Bari is amazing to work with, has a great eye for decor and made the process so easy and stress free for us. We will definitely be back to keep enjoying dinner at Copperhill!
This was such a wonderful dining experience. You eat with your eyes and the minute you walk in to the restaurant, it steals the eye. So much wonderful detail to decor. Then you move on to the cocktail menu. The whiskey sour I tried belonged in a speak easy and the signature cocktails were extremely unique. We shared four appetizers between seven people and we couldn’t eat them all. Then we went on to entree. Everyone ordered so differently. There was duck, sea bass, roasted chicken, scallop, roasted, boned half chicken, seared scallops, and happily for me a vegetarian pasta. No one had room for dessert, and I don’t eat cake, but a had a fresh fried cinnamon donut brought out to me with a candle. The wait staff was phenomenal. He was training a new employ, but did it with such fitness that you may not have realize it was occurring. I thank you, copper hill, for making my birthday celebration an amazing experience
I would give it a 5 but when I was trying to do my ladies night they were not too accommodating with regards to saving a space for us unless we ordered full menu dinner nor were they accommodating in terms of lower priced drinks, However they did give us a complimentary champagne toast which I really appreciated. Their happy hour appetizers were fantastic and Service was good. Very nice atmosphere
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! We just held a private dinner their after our wedding for 30 guest and it was beyond perfect. Bari the event coordinator went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. The large private room in the back was setup and decorated beautiful for us. The bartender and the waitstaff were on top of everything. The food was incredible. Everyone is still talking about how good the food was. Half the guest are from either NYC or Westchester and are already planning nights out there. I truly cant say enough good things about not only the food at the restaurant but the people who work their. They really do take care of everything you could ever need. Cant wait to go back their to try the rest of the menu!
My wife, daughter and I dined here for my wife’s birthday in June. We enjoyed the interior decor. The service was great, as was the food presentation and taste. It’s a bit pricey; however the quality is there. We would certainly dine there again. It seems to be a great place for adult couples and groups.
Modern Farmhouse with quality fresh food, charm and service that makes you feel at home. You can write a book on the attention to detail taken here. From the design elements in the venue to the compilation of ingredients in each drink or dish. The serving sizes were perfect, we shared two appetizers and an entree and were pleased. Excited to try the Sunday Brunch. The venue is also perfect for private events: weddings, showers, corporate ext. We have found a new home!
Copperhill is a very nice spot. It has a chic ambiance and had nice menu selection. We enjoyed brunch there and the chicken sandwich was tasty. They made really good cocktails as well. We were in a large party of 12 people so some of the items took some time to come out, but again probably do to our party size. Parking is available as well.
If I could give 10 stars I would!Ive been here twice - once for Valentines Day this year and again to celebrate my birthday with a friend this year. The staff are so incredibly friendly and I am so pleased with the service I have received on both occasions. For my birthday they gave my friend and I complimentary champagne which was unexpected and then when my dessert didnt come with a candle the waiter got us a stack of little donuts with a candle on it. I almost cried! It was so incredibly sweet and I have never felt so special. The food was great on both occasions and the drinks Ive had were awesome. Thank you to our server last night (I think he said his name was Wyce) for being so great! And the front desk who was so accommodating when I arrived. Also to the girl who I think is the manager who both visits she came to my table and asked how everything was and took the dessert order.I have already started telling everyone to come here and I will definitely be back!
Amazing experience! Went for Valentine’s Day... our waiter, Wise, (not sure of correct spelling), was incredible! Very knowledgeable, made some thoughtful and “wise” suggestions. The atmosphere was beautiful and extremely clean. Everything we ate was delicious from the crab toast all the way to the donuts.
Back for another celebration and the brunch was amazing. From the specialty drinks to start to the donuts for dessert this place earns its 5 star rating. As a former NOLA resident I can attest that their grits are the real deal and the donuts have you drippin for Cafe Du Monde. You will not be disappointed-I guarantee!
We had a great experience at Copperhill celebrating 2 Birthdays. Weve wanted to come him for some time and they did not disappoint. Customer service was amazing going out of their way to make our celebration extra special. Everyone loved their food which was nicely displayed and tasted amazing. We will surely be back!
This place is overrated. Service overall was okay. But the drinks tasted watered down and anything that was cooked by the kitchen was so bland and did not justify the prices they were charging. There was nothing memorable about the food, and for the prices charged, it should have been spectacular instead. Beautiful spot and attentive servers, but the only person who would enjoy this food is someone with no taste buds and lack of experience in dining out in general. Save your money and go somewhere where they actually know what they are doing.
Nice classy spot near my house, I went there with some of my friends for a late birthday dinner. Food was good, everything was good up until the server gave us our leftovers to go. The server ended up mixing up all of our to go bags and we didnt find out til the next day so we just tossed it all. I had a feeling too but he sounded SUPER confident when handing it to us so I didnt bother checking. Super disappointed since some of the dishes were almost untouched because we ordered too much. What a waste of food and money. Killed my entire vibe. DOUBLE CHECK!!!!
Good food and attentive service but hard to see what youre eating when seated outdoors in the dark section of the restaurant. My burger was ok but ended leaving a bit hungry. The fries were good but a bit cold and hard. The star of the night was the salmon others ordered and we will try that next time. Overall this restaurant is a solid choice with seasonally changing menu.
Copperhill is a beautiful restaurant with a great decor. The lighting for dinner was very nice, low lit and intimate perfect for a date, but bright enough to read the menu. Cocktails were well made. I truly appreciate a bartender that uses a jigger to properly measure out the ingredients, it shows that they are thoughtful to the drinks being crafted. I had a refreshingly bright gin cocktail with pomegranate, the name escapes me but it was excellent. My date and I shared the little gem salad, a play on a classic wedge salad. Main difference was just swapping iceberg for romaine. It was lovely fresh tasting cream dressing with nice tangy chunks of blue cheese and pieces of bacon, so good. We also had an appetizer of carnitas nachos, definitely suggest getting these! I had the night special braised short rib with creamy parsnips and root vegetables, the beef was a little drier and not as tender as I hope but still completely delicious. The scallops entree was simply perfect. If you like scallops order this. We tried the chocolate mousse and apple crisp for dessert. We preferred the mousse. Overall great dinner and will definitely return here.
Food was delicious!! Ambiance (inside) is rustic with a flare for contemporary! I had the pork chops and they were delicious, drinks had a healthy pour, I ordered the Bad Seed 👍! Waiter was very informative and professional! Definitely add this place to your short list of restaurants to visit! Good job staff!
This place was delicious, I would highly recommend going if you are in the area. My whole group loved the experience, the waiters were all friendly and they were taking necessary covid-19 precautions. The desserts were also really good. It was a great experience, and we will definitely be coming back.
Such a pleasant surprise - an awesome restaurant right in my backyard.I must have driven by this places hundreds of times without noticing it. What a loss. The location is so well designed and decorated and the staff and service are top notch. The drinks are solid and the wines are all great. The food is all really great as well. We definitely will be back to order more options (although we really all liked our first choices!)Thank you Copperhill!
Copperhill is hands down one of the coolest, most delightful restaurants I have ever dined in. I was immediately impressed by the clean, modern ambiance. Somehow the owners managed to turn an old fashioned farmhouse into a unique treasure. Upon arrival, I was seated right away and was served by an amazing waitress, Channing. What made our waitress so special was her kind smile and outstanding people skills. She read us a chic, quirky drink menu (props to whoever put it together) and let us read our menus. I started out sharing the devils on horseback, an individual starter unlike anything I had ever tried. Definitely recommend if you are in the mood for a savory, unforgettable app. For my main course I splurged on the Lamb Chops and am so glad I did. It was so tender and cooked to perfection. Thank you to Channing and the staff at Copperhill for making a regular dinner so outstanding. I will be coming back very soon.
Used to be a great place with a wonderful staff and bartenders, great happy hour. Now there is no more happy hour. People that answer the phone have an attitude. The menu selection is small as are the entrees. Honestly happy hour was this places saving grace (also the awesome burger) No more happy hour, over priced small portion entrees, and a snooty jerky woman answering the phone inspire this one star review.
Super friendly and attentive staff/bartenders. Ive been here for brunch, dinner and happy hour multiple times. Definitely a repeat patron and will keep coming back. They offer jazz brunch on Sundays, plus an excellent happy hour menu. The rotating seasonal menu also keeps it fresh. Highly suggest the devils on horseback, shishito peppers and fried oyster nachos for starters.
Food was very good. The interior layout for dining and the modern minimalist furniture was way on point to enjoy a casual and relaxing delicious meal. The portions were perfect, prices very reasonable and again the food was good. Has a nice beer on tap and draught section as well as the wines. Our waitress Sharon C. made my wife and my lunch very enjoyable. Will be back to try the dinner menu. Come and enjoy.
My favorite restaurant and right in my neighborhood. Copperhill makes Williston Park shine so bright. Love their food, which changes seasonally and is farm to table fresh. All the dishes are artfully prepared and so creative in each detail. The drinks and wine list are amazing. I am never leaving Willy P so long as copperhill is here!

We went there for our holiday luncheon from work. The food was OK. The service was bad. Although the waitress was friendly she forgot couple of our orders. We did kindly asked to take a group picture since it was our work holiday lunch and she refused it 3 times alleging she will returning to do it which she did not. When the bar tender, who was not friendly, stepped in to help vacate the table, we asked her to take the group picture as well and she refused saying, your waitress should be back soon. Seriously it takes 1 second to take a picture. We were not happy at that point after being rejected 4 times, our order forgotten and being treated as we were bothering them. At the end a different waiter volunteered and finally took a picture. Needless to say we will not return there.
Im pregnant and Im vegetarian and I was so happy that they offered vegetarian options, also for the cheese plate she knew which cheeses were pasteurized and safe to consume while pregnant. They also were very nice to make me a virgin cocktail. Friendly and competent staff.
More than pleased with my experience at Copperhill! The service was incredible from the start, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was lovely. They also accommodated for my dietary restrictions with kindness and care! Our server was Sharon, and her positivity, warmth, and energy made our visit to Copperhill that much better. You will not regret an evening spent at this fine establishment! 😊
Went for an anniversary and felt very taken care of. Service was excellent, would have eaten everything on the menu if I could and the cocktails were above expectation. This place gives off a caring and wholesome vibe that seems to come from the top; tables were spaced out more than most restaurants and the server (Sharon) gave us a detailed rundown of the menu, making me feel like she was solely focused on giving us a good experience. Thank you, Copperhill.
My expectations of Copperhill were not only met, but completely exceeded. I scheduled a large lunch for my family after a service at the National Cemetery and everything was perfect - from the planning of the event, staff flexibility on food options, service, easy corkage for wine brought in from the outside. The food was outstanding, as were the drinks. This place gets an easy 5-stars in my book. Great job - highly recommended for your events - Bari is a gem.
Went for brunch after reading all the rave reviews. Have to say was disappointed. Had a 1:15 reservation, table was not ready. I dont mind a wait. Waited by the (not busy) bar for our table where the bartender took in excess of 10 minutes to prepare 2 drinks. I guess she needed the extra time to ensure her hair was in one of the drinks. Waitress was bland and persona free. No specials. Just a, are you ready to order? And got the order wrong. Ordered the brunch salad without onions or beans. Guess what I got? Onions and beans. Didnt see her again until time to pay the bill. Had to flag down a busboy for salt. No bread on the table. Service was lacking (granted there was a bridal shower going on but still). Food was OK. Not great not terrible.Service was lacking. Decor was nice. Not sure Ill return.
Nicely decorated space, food was excellent, server was knowledgeable and very professional, happy to give us recommendations. Portions are surprisingly large for this kind of eclectic new American place which was a pleasant surprise. Plenty of vegetarian selections as well.
Valentines Day Dinner with friends turned out surprisingly delightful thanks to the unusual drinks and super food at Copperhill. The menu had something for everyone including the vegan and vegetarian....even Poutine. Staff was friendly, pleasing and co operative. Our boisterous group was thankfully given a charming candle lit corner round table. We ordered all that was recommended and every dish was creative and delicious.Currently one of Long Islands best upscale restaurant.
Snacks, Starters and Toasts - what a wonderful way to begin the evening with friends and a glass of wine. We may have overindulged in these. Entrees - Skirt Steaks, Veg Cauliflower, Cavatelli - all delicious, perfectly prepared and served. Nice wine list. Our server was great with lots to say about the menu. Even though it was happy hour with a crowded bar, we sat at a relatively quiet table at front of restaurant in what may have been a porch. Coming from Queens, a real perk is a parking lot. We will return...
Came for brunch with some girlfriends on a Sunday thankfully it wasnt too packed and they have a large sized parking lot. The brunch menu had a nice variety of choices such as eggs, burgers, sandwiches, poutine, fish and a variety of mixed drinks. Service was a bit on the slow side but our server and the hostess were friendly. They have a large party room and offer great pricing for bridal/baby showers.
Delicious farm to table dining. Beginning with the warm rolls with whipped butter and excellent cocktails, our evening was a home run. Shared a number of snacks/small plates and all were enjoyed. These included fresh whipped ricotta, heirloom tomatoes with burrata, and salmon poke. Entrees were also winners. The chocolate tart was outstanding. The corn ice cream basically tasted like vanilla. We were not rushed and were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. We will be back!
Modern farmhouse charm with NYC quality food in Nassau County. I got introduced to this place for a business dinner and was super impressed with the quality of food and its setting. I love a good restaurant that appreciates good snacks and appetizers to split and share. Enjoy the entrees but do not short yourself or the table with too few appetizers.
This place is becoming my go to brunch spot in the area. The menu has changed since Ive last visited but it is still as good as I remember it to. They have top notch food and mimosas, and thats all I really want for brunch.Reservations is highly recommended as the place gets busy!
I have been coming to this establishment for about three years. My law firm is couple of blocks away so we generally do any business meetings here. Last year i did my yearly birthday happy hour at this location with about 20 attorneys and 10 Judges. This year once again I notified the acting manager that there would be approximately 20- 30 attorneys and Judges present and that we would order appetizers and cocktails all night. The day of my birthday party Bari Kearns, the owner was present. She began by to tell my guest to calm down and that it was a “sophisticated restaurant and not a dive bar” and we should not be talking too loud. At this time there were about 30 people in my group. Other than my group there were only four tables occupied dining, while my group was spending thousands of dollars. Instead of seating the four tables in the back she sat them right in front of the bar area. She kept reprimanding the attorneys and Judges for not keeping there “tone down” I was mortified. My associates brought over a cake to the restaurant after contacting the owner prior to the event and the owner allowed them to bring it but was charging them $25 as a “cutting fee”. My group began to sing happy birthday to me and as soon as I blew out the candles the owner, Bari Kearns, approached me and told me that my group had been too loud at singing happy birthday and me and the rest of the group needed to leave... i have never in my life met a business owner that has absolutely no ability to run a business like Bari Kearns. She was demeaning, disrespectful and rude to me and all the other professionals in my group, after I have given her business for years. I would highly recommend that you go somewhere else, especially if you want to have an event run smoothly and your guest to feel welcomed.
The experience of enjoying food should leave room for a sense of longing ; that is exactly how I feel. I cant stop thinking about the Devil on Horseback , the steakwith kimchi fried rice , the salmon poke. I cant wait to come back and try different things from this amazing menu. a well put together menu, amazing fresh ingredients, warm rustic and inviting ambience. It is not just pretty looking food--- it leaves you wanting more.
Easy to see right off of Hillside Avenue servicing Williston Park and the adjoining areas of Nassau County. Plenty of parking and a wheelchair accessible entrance. Clean facilities. Public Restrooms. Reasonably priced. Credit cards accepted. Nice staff. Give it a try and you decide.
Dinner for 4 on a February Friday evening at Copperhill in Williston Park (the former La Marmite venue). Early on, at 6:30 p.m., the place was relatively quiet; 2 hours later, it was positively bustling. Each of us was drinking something different (Margaritas, and 3 different wines: a California red blend, a rose, and an Oregon Pinot Noir), so the wines were by the glass. I feel compelled to assure you that mine was not the rose (although I understand that theoretically some tasty roses do exist, I’ve never found one to my taste, and that included my wife’s rose…).Service was excellent – the team took good care of us both early on when it wasn’t a challenge (other than our menu questions!) and later when they were stretched a bit more among the occupants of a full house. They showed great care and concern for our well-being and enjoyment in a variety of ways that I won’t detail lest this mini-review turn maxi. You can just trust me on this. Or not. ;^)The food at Copperhill ranges from very good to excellent. We shared a couple of appetizers. Most noteworthy, based on the resulting assorted ooohs and aaaahs and other sounds worthy of the second-named protagonist in “When Harry Met Sally” (in the Katz’s Deli scene) was the “kunik” (warm cheese) dish. If you’re one of the three or four US residents who doesn’t know what scene I’m talking about, Google the movie’s title and Katz’s, and watch the YouTube video. Heck, even if you do know the scene, spend 3 minutes and watch it again – it’s still hilarious, IMHO. My skate entrée was borderline perfect (and matched nicely with my Oregon Pinot), and my wife’s burger was a 9.5 out of 10. I’m looking forward to returning to taste the other selections on the menu (and I’m thinking that 2 or 4 like-minded people could split the burger as an appetizer…).Follow-up review in early April:A return visit to Copperhill in Williston Park last evening for dinner with a friend. The cooking is creative and well-prepared, the service is high-level, and the setting is an attractively repurposed old farmhouse. Theres even ample parking, and a party room that can seat up to 60. The hosts are a lovely couple, husband and wife, who both aim to please - he is head chef and she runs the front of the house and events. You can tell that theyre passionate about every aspect of their restaurant. Theres nothing wrong, and everything right, about Copperhill.
Dont come here, and certainly dont plan an event or celebration here. Fun and happiness are not allowed. AND your event may be cancelled the day before!A few collegues and I have been regular customers for years now. A group of us planned to go there for happy hour to celebrate one of our birthdays. We informed the owner in advance that we would be coming and bringing a birthday cake. She said that was fine but they would charge a $25 cutting fee. When too many people came and we were too loud singing Happy birthday we were told to leave. Needless to say, we will not be back.In addition, I was recently made aware that the owner cancelled a large event that was planned weeks in advance THE DAY BEFORE THE EVENT. The reason being that more guests rsvpd than they were originally expecting. This is not a small restaurant and the event was on a weeknight. The additional guests would have been paid for. My friend happened to be at the restaurant having a drink on the night of the cancelled event, and said they were the only people there. For some reason, this place really does not want your, or anyones business. So do yourself a favor and DONT GO.
Spring is in the air and on your plate at Copperhill in Williston Park! We walked in and were greeted by a cheerful cherry blossoms and candlelight artistically arranged on a welcome table and found two seats at the beautiful bar on a festive Friday night. Bartenders Lauren and Kristin and manager, Gwen, couldn’t have made us feel more welcome! We started with their burrata and beet salad...so fresh and creamy...and continued with their new farfalle dish — w/ clams, sausage, and fava beans (beautifully presented). Wow! So delicious! A glass of sancerre was the finishing touch. This restaurant has become a second home to us. Owner, Bari Kearns, always greets us with a hug and great conversation, and we consider her husband, Greg Kearns—owner/executive chef—a culinary artist. The restaurant itelf is decorated with a modern farmhouse feel. You can have a more intimate dinner in the fireplace room or front porch room, or have a festive, casual dinner in the taproom.I HIGHLY recommend Copperhill in Williston Park!
My husband and I came here for nye dinner at 530pm. The place was empty, three tables including us. This is our third visit. We ordered two appetizers, one small plate and two entrees. We enjoyed the in house bread very much. Keep in mind they came in two small pieces for two ppl. When we asked for the third round of bread, busboy #1 said he CANT give it to us. He said he will check with the kitchen but never got back to us. We asked again with busboy #2 and was told there was a two round limit per table. I believe the servers took this order from management. Bread is on the house and its for free. It doesnt cost much to bake. Management should take it as a compliment that we loved the bread very much. We ordered five plates. We didnt come here to get full on the bread. Better managing method would be: hi, theres two rounds per table but we would give you the third round just bc you enjoyed it so much! Good customer service should never say NO to customers especially when they ordered five plates.Im very disappointed with their customer service. Needless to say I dont see myself coming back again.
If you are looking for a place to host a party this isnt it!the event planner does not return any calls when I spoke to the manager about this I was told to come in and look at the place after I went not even the manager would speak to me.very unprofessional .I guess they are too busy for more business. Horrible
I havent been here yet, was told its fantastic, reading the reviews and cant get past the review that was blasting the restaurant for not giving them a third round of (free) rolls based on inventory control, especially on New Years Eve, being very familiar with the restaurant business its so easy to say the customer is always right but we all know thats not true.... Petty, picky and miserable customers come with the territory and it would be so nice to tell them to never come back, but they did that for you, guarantee its no big loss.

2021-12-31My partner and I went on a Saturday night for our anniversary. This was our first time dining here and definitely not our last. We got the poutine appetizer which was incredible. Then we had the hanger steak and the scallop dish for our entrees. The scallops were absolutely to die for. There were so many textures and flavors in the dish, I have raved about this dish so many times since this. We finished our meal off with the apple crisp dessert and an espresso martini. The servers were all friendly and helpful, the manager came over and personally asked us about our experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant was modern and filled with lush greenery. It was the perfect date night for the two of us. Well deserved 5 stars.

2022-05-05Copperhill is where my husband and I had our wedding dinner. I’m giving it 4.5/5 for the following reasons:5 stars:- Venue says it all if your going for intimate, elegant, rustic wedding- Staff that served us are all friendly- Personalized printed menu- Parking lot for your guests- Budget-wise, it is value-worthy- Salmon was so goodRooms for improvement:- We asked for a champagne toast but it was not served- Steak served at our event has a different taste than when we dined for dinner- I feel like they are more friendly/supportive when you tie up with their vendors to arrange everything. We did a DIY wedding dinner- Evening events were said to be 3H but when we sign the contract, they gave us 4H. When we finalize and do the recap, it is again 3H. My husband and I understand that there is a time limit but misunderstandings affect overall program flow planning (Good thing they did not charge us when we finished 15 mins late)Overall, I will still recommend Copperhill! Our guests enjoyed the intimacy of the place

2022-02-10A must try! Its a bit pricey but well worth it. The cocktails are inspired and all the dishes are outside of the box , fresh, new and scrumptious! Went recently for a birthday celebration with the kids and the staff was super accommodating

2021-09-13We walked into Copperhill on a Sunday afternoon a little before 2pm for brunch service. There was one table available for the outdoor seating area as their outdoor seating is on a first come first serve basis, the table outdoor had no shade whatsoever as opposed to the other tables that had umbrellas providing some comfort from the blistering sun. We inquired about the availability for seating indoors, and were pleasantly surprised to find one open table adjacent to the bar area. We waited a few minutes for the hostess to prep the table and were seated promptly. We sat for approximately 20 minutes before the first server came up to us to even ask us if we needed anything. Decided to go for the 1 Liter option of the Bellini drink, the waiter immediately told me that the liter option equated to 4 champagne flutes worth of drinks....upon having the drinks brought out we were told to mix the drinks ourselves. They provided 4 champagne flutes with blueberry garnishes, a peach puree and two small bottles of proseco(187ml of alcohol) I am not a math wizard but last I checked 1 liter = 1000ml. Youd also think that they could prep the drinks and bring it out at the ready for you.The waiter we had was extremely impatient bordering on rude and lacked courtesy for customers of the restaurant. I would suggest that the staff could be trained in having better manners while speaking with patrons of the restaurant. Not once during our meal did we have a single visit from the waiter asking if we needed anything else or to check in and see how the meal was.Onto the food, we ordered the honey harisa wings, and buttermilk biscuits with jam as appetizers. The best part of the meal were the appetizers, the wings with the honey glaze were cooked perfectly and on point. The buttermilk biscuits came with whipped butter and a small jar of raspberry preserves, it was the perfect combination for the hot biscuit. For the main course, we had the lobster roll, hanger steak, potato hash and eggs, cheeseburger, and buttermilk chicken sandwich. The lobster roll came with a bland roll which was overly toasted to the point where the bun broke apart before it even came to the table. They served the lobster on top of two large pieces of lettuce which looked very pleasing but was not practical for eating at all. The lobster was pretty decent tasting however I did find a small piece of shell in the mix. The hanger steak was cooked to medium rare but felt quite chewy and not overly fresh, the best part of the dish there was the potato hash that was served on the side. The buttermilk chicken sandwich looked really delicious when it came out but upon further inspection we discovered that the lettuce served with the sandwich was not properly cleaned prior to service. The lettuce had bits of dirt and some dark looking bits which totally turned us off from eating anything on that plate. We brought the lettuce to the attention of one wait staff and were met by another person whom we believed to be the manager. We explained to the manager that we had discovered that some of the lettuce had not been cleaned properly and that we wanted to bring it to their attention. She immediately came back to us with an apathetic tone that she could offer to swap the lettuce out for some new lettuce and tried to give an excuse that often times with organic products there will be dirt on the vegetables. We didnt need the staff to air their condescension with us but rather to acknowledge that they had made a mistake. We often understand that no one is perfect but our whole experience here has been off putting and we will more than likely never visit this restaurant again nor will I recommend it to anyone else.

2021-08-29One of my top brunch spots located in a charming old farm house! They have both indoor and outdoor seating and I have seen private events being hosted in the back. The food and drinks are excellent. I have been here so many times the place never disappoints. Favorite items are buttermilk pancakes with chocolate chips, the brunch burger and blistered shishitos and bees knees cocktail if you like gin.

2021-09-18Nice little gem that has indoor and outdoor seating as well as ample parking in the back. Food was absolutely delicious. Started off with the Ricotta and honey toast and soft shelled crab. Main was the roast chicken with mash potatoes ans mushrooms. Chicken was moist and flavorful with super crispy skin and the mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery and literally melted in your mouth. Dessert was superb with cinnamon sugar donuts, chocolate mousse with hazelnuts and the peach crisp. Service was great and friendly staff!Edited 9/17Just had a wonderful dinner with friends and our server was Brendan R who was absolutely amazing. He overheard someone saying it was a special night fpr us and he made a truly special night. He was attentive but gave space, very knowledgeable in the food and drinks with wonderful recommendations. Would absolutely love for him to be our server again

2022-05-05Although I’ve had better experiences at Copperhill, tonight’s dinner (Mom’s Birthday) was a complete dissapointment.Upon being seated, we were told there was a “cake cutting fee” of $30 which was fine as this is common policy at some restaurants. We decided to opt out and save the cake for home. No worries 👍We ordered the salmon crudo and burrata as our appetizers. Both of which were unmemorable. Burrata definitely needed some more acidity (perhaps a balsamic glaze?)For our main dishes we order the wild mushrooms, lamb chops, and the crab buccatini.Unfortunately, there seems to be a theme of all the dishes being overly oily.Wild Mushrooms - whole lot of polenta and not whole lot of mushroom. May as well been a polenta dish. In addition, the dish was swimming in oil (probably partly due to the rendering of the cheese but still absurd) - see pictureLamb chops - nothing special. Not much to rave about and not much to complain other than the price-to-portion ratio.Crab Buccatini - lots of crab which was nice. Decent dish. However, what really hit the nail on the coffin was when the waitress slipped us the bill after our meal without offering dessert. This was Mom’s Birthday and didn’t have the decency to even mention a dessert menu while other patrons were receiving the courtesy. Huge slap in the face if you ask me.Overall drinks and bread are always good but the service/food tonight were very upsetting.Message to management and staff - Please do better!!!!

2021-10-16Not your ordinary menu!If you’re looking for a different culinary experience (and I’m not talking about trying a different cuisine) - you have to check this place out.Everything on the menu was carefully chosen and delicately formed to perfection. The dish in the photo is Skate (fish). Yeah - Google it! And that’s only one of the many unique dishes they serve.I’m definitely going back to try more of the dishes they offer.Oh - drinks were on point as well!

We had a book club meeting there and it was wonderful ambiance. the food was great, the waiter was truly outstanding, so courteous, kind and helpful in choosing menu items. The food is organic and delicious. The fish was great. And he took pics of us or our request. We will be back soon!
