Ive been going to Cornerstone for quite some time now. I do like my doctor but the front desk is THE WORST! First of all, getting through the phone takes for ever! Unbelievable long wait, but the worst is the african American lady at the front desk, the first time I thought she probably just had a bad day. The second time I thought maybe I caught her in a bad time...but then the 3rd, 4th, and every time after that! Her demeanor was less than professional, it almost feels like she was doing me a favor by taking me in. As I walked out of the clinic, a lady approached me and say, I cant stand that lady! Horrible aptitude!....So, I wasnt crazy! People like that should have a job where they are not talking to people and answering health concerns day by day.

Heres your Urgent Care- unavailable and unopened. Not a great time for being bit by a feral animal. Severely disappointed that this establishment failed to keep their website up to date.

Be careful when scheduling your first appointment. I called the number listed for the Port Jervis location and scheduled an appointment. Called the day of to confirm as no reminder was ever sent. I get to the location and they say my appointment is in Newburgh. They apparently utilize a call center but they never once asked which location I wanted to be seen at or mentioned the appointment was for Newburgh. How a call center doesn’t clarify location is beyond me and no form of reminder doesn’t seem like a good practice as that could have cleared up the situation as well.

I was worried about going due to the low rating, BUT it was the best experience I have ever had at a doctors office. Apparently there has been new staffing and it has made the difference. I came 15 minutes early like they asked and the nurse came and got me before I finished my new patient paperwork. The nurse, Danielle, was super friendly and welcoming, she was understanding and very good at conversion to make you more comfortable. My doctor, Jennifer, came in only minutes after Danielle left. Again very friendly and welcoming. I didn’t feel looked down on while talking to her like I’ve experienced with other doctors. I didn’t feel rushed and it was all very personable. They helped make me a OBGYN appointment (they have a dental wing as well) I had a 1:30 appointment and was out before 2:30. Unheard of and wonderful!Also they are renovating so the building will be updated just like the staff was. Completely recommend, especially to people who have already tried and had a bad experience there. It’s worth another chance now.

My husband has flu symptoms. The best this place could do is a virtual telehealth 7 days from now. No care or other solutions offered, this place is a disgrace to healthcare.

Terrible waiting time every single time I go , everyone seems all over the place and understaffed. I wouldn’t bother scheduling an appointment if you have other plans an hour or two later , because I’ve sat there over two hours just for the doctor to be in the room not even 5 minutes. It’s just unprofessional , and very disappointing. Although the doctor was nice and I certainly appreciate that, he had no idea what my appointment was even for, after me waiting all that time. I don’t think there’s much of a regard of people’s time whatsoever. The last two times I’ve gone I was there for over two hours. it’s genuinely ridiculous, and is the main reason why I will be changing doctors and going elsewhere. Please consider how much time you have available before scheduling an appointment there and whether or not you want to sit there from 1.5 - 2 hours.

I must that I am pleasantly surprised by this primary care. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. I’m this day I’m age I find that it is extremely difficult to find a doctor as 30-something year old black woman. I found dr. Ashwin Koshy incredibly humble, helpful and caring! He takes his time during the visit and explains all options and test that are being done. He is around my age so he understand the type of lifestyle I lead and displayed no judgments or disapproval’s which made it easy for me to be open and honest. I insisted I was healthy but he let me know my options for blood work. Which was a great thing because as soon as he got the results of my labs he called immediately to schedule a follow up. He called me many times in efforts to reach me! I was so impressed by his dedication and persistence to speak with me about my results. I found out I was severely vitamin d deficient! I was shocked but he already had a plan and a prescription to help me improve. He also scheduled my follow up and let me know what i can add to my diet to improve further. I also loved his nurse who was able to draw my blood in one stick! She was kind and gentle and took excellent care of me during my visit! All in all this place is a diamond in the rough! But the care is top notch!

I gravitated to this location after the excellent doctor they had in Milford moved away and they closed that office. I have been to this location in Port Jervis several times and have yet to meet Dr Stratis and Im not entirely sure if she works at this location or if she even exists. Today I had an appointment for a simple blood test which ended up being a parade of various nurses and/or physician assistants asking me repetitive questions, wondering why I was there, and obsessing with medical issues which had nothing to do with my visit. They were very insistent in the reminders that I be on time but after I walked in they seemed to be stalling. After 40 minutes I was told that someone would be in to take me down to the lab for my blood test at some unknown point in time. I was already going to be late for my next appointment so I left. This is pretty-much the last straw for Cornerstone as far as Im concerned although I am not advising anyone to not go to this office which has more of the feel of a free clinic than anything else, not that theres anything wrong with that.

Expect to wait no less than and hour for your scheduled appointment time. Expect the front desk to call you anywhere between 2 and 20 times should you have abnormal pap results. Expect the dental section of the facility to completely ignore your multiple calls and voicemails that they promise to return. Unprofessional, unorganized, extremely frustrating dealing with these people.

The new doctor decided to cut my moms medications off completely without explanation or ANY help for detoxing causing my mom to be hospitalized 3 separate times. The reason this doctor gave was I dont do things like Doctor Garrison On top of this she also just refused to send the pre-authorization for my moms new NON narcotic meds because she can wait 24 hours or go back to the hospital even though its literally just a one click process. I will NEVER let my disabled mother be seen at this place ever again. Even the insurance company is going to be filing a complaint. If you need ANY medical attention just go to Hospital first and save yourself the headaches and mistreatment. This place will kill or seriously hurt someone one day .
