Corona Hotel in Corona
Great hotel and location every time am in nyc I stay here, train it’s only a block away restaurant it’s a block away if you know your way around everything it’s close by, also you take the train to Manhattan you be there on 20 min better than a cab with all the traffic . I recommend this hotel.
3.5 rooms were clean and comfortable for a quick one night stay. The location was very convenient to the subway however if noise bothers you DO NOT stay here. The 7 train runs directly above the hotel and we were given a room right IN the lobby area. Sound proofing is non-existent in these rooms - we were awake from 3 AM on with the noise of people and yelling children in the lobby.
Customer service was good, but I would have to say the overall stay was below average. The room they gave us smelled like smoke and the non existent free wifi worked intermittently and sluggish at best. The subway and hollow walls made it impossible to sleep too. This hotel is in close proximity to the airport though, so if you need a place to lay your head for the night, give it a go?
The hotel is very nice and neat. the bed rooms are in order and sheets along with other small items always replaced. staff are nice and friendly and work with what ever ones situation is. the complementary food is small but enough for someone on the move quickly. overall a nice hotel to stay at.
Great location for the train but lets be real i would call this a motel and a sex motel at that. its mostly short stays we stayed overnight in the double bed which was to expensive . the bed is awful so soft and goes in in the middle like its been there forever. There was some kind of white stuff all over the tv which grossed me out. place is good if u going for a few hours just not good for an overnight... watch out the Best Western across the street is a city male shelter so they are all outside trying to talk to females and smoking weed.
Stayed there for an event at Citi Field. Hotel room was clean, smelled nice, and staff was very friendly. Breakfast was just about the same as every other hotel with a continental breakfast (no waffles), and was being restocked often. It was very good. Price was a bit much for the night, but was within walking distance from Citi Field so it was worth it. Small parking area, but not bad. Overall great stay!
The room itself was small but comfortable. Its right next to the train tracks so the whole building seems like it falls down every 20 minutes, sounds like theres someone playing the tuba for some reason, never figured out what that was about. The sheets are like sandpaper and they were cleaning rooms at 4:30 this morning when I left, which seems odd and created a lot of noise.
We were going to the Mets game and were going to sleep there for just a few hours so why waste the money on a nicer hotel? Right?Making a long story short, we checked in the hotel and then just turned around and left. If you want to stay in this area, it makes sense just to pay more and get a decent place.
My flight was cancelled at LaGuardia and was forced to find last minute accomodations. I paid $190 for one night stay at the Corona. It stunk like pot and has a loud subway train right next to the hotel that is extremely loud. The beds were uncomfortable. I was not a pleasant experience to say the least. 2 star hotel at best.
Good location for US Open (.4 miles), but actually a bit further to the south gate entrance. Hotel is right next to subway line, so it is never quiet; however, the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was subpar (bagels, yogurt, coffee), and dining options nearby are abysmal.
I have been in many bad hotels but this one beats all of them by far!! Its dirty, it smells and by god we had cockroaches in our bed, not to mention the slums area and the train every few minutes that shakes the whole building. Here comes the kicker, I got stuck in the elevator for over half an hour and thank god I wasnt with my kid in it. Whores and potheads walking in and out, the staff is unprofessional and not very helpful, all in one it is the worst dump Ive ever stayed at and whoever said its a good hotel is a hobo!
I stayed here while traveling to Queens for work. After rsearching for all the hotels surrounding our business destination, it came down to the Corona and the Holiday Inn, both of which had similarly daunting reviews (many of which I suspect were written either by people who dont know what to expect in the city). The Corona has friendly and helpful staff and the room was well maintained. There is a small parking area behind the buildings facade; not enough space to accommodate a vehicle for every room in the building, but this is Queens, you can expect to search for parking at some point or another; still I never (in three days) had to search for a spot at the hotel.Internet is easy, username and password is guest name and room number, so you dont have to call the front desk to get access. The free breakfast probably wont rock your world, but its good enough to hold you over until lunch.Everyday I came back from work and found my bed had been made, towels replaced, etc...I think I remember reading some reviews that said otherwise, but over my experience, the maintenance was neat and regular. The subway runs above the street in front of the hotel so naturally you can expect to hear it pass by periodically, although I slept through all the urban soundscapes just fine. The surrounding neighborhood is rich with local shops and cuisine, and for the budget-conscious traveller there is a nice grocery store just a block or two down the street. All in all, this is a very nice place for the area and I enjoyed my stay.
Cant blame them for trying. The hotel would get a better rating but the subway is at the 4th floor. The ceiling in the bathroom had mold. The Jacuzzi tub didnt work. My door lock worked to get me in the room like 1 time. The rest it took 10 tries. The room we stayed in smelled like what ever was outside. The only good thing was it was close to the NYSCI and Queens Museum witch is why I was in town.
Expedia claimed Free shuttle service from this hotel, but when we arrived they said that service stopped Jan 2019. The room smelled and there were hairs in the bathtub, yuck. The cleaners were whistling in the hall at 11:30 pm, the room door was paper thin so we heard all the noise in the hallway
BLOODY BATHROOMIm not perfect and dont expect others to be perfect. But when checking into a hotel I expect to not find blood in several places and bloody tissue paper crusted to the floor. Looks like it wasnt cleaned at all and when attempting to get in touch with a manager, was met with unfriendly staff who couldnt care less. Manager was not there both days and never returned a call. Overall, a nasty place with bad service..
This hotel is in the worst possible place. The subway train comes by every 10 minutes and shakes the whole building. The rooms were very dirty and smelled like smoke. The house keepers dont change the sheets obviously because there was hair all over my bed. Just do yourself a favor and go to another hotel.
From the initial booking process to checking in was the most problematic issue that I ever experienced. The hotel cancelled my reservation and a month later charged my credit card without notification. I telephoned this establishment to gain an understanding and was told that the online siye tgst handkes the bookik ng made an error. I decided to not didpute resrrvsyon with mt credit catsmanager refused to speak to me and provided no resolution to the staff attending the front desk. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
I was on a delayed flight into LaGuardia. Booked this hotel, then I was able to find a flight to my final destination.I called the hotel front desk and informed them that I would not be coming. They told me that because my reservation was last minute, it was non-refundable by them. However, they also told me that if I spoke to Expedia, who I booked through, then Expedia would cancel and refund me for the stay that did not occur. Keep in mind, this information was from the clerk at the front desk.I spoke with Expedia and they told me that they would speak with the hotel about a waiver for the stay. Corona denied the waiver. If someone from your management team assures a client that a refund is possible, then that refund should occur.Do your jobs.

It was the beginning of Columbus holidays in NY..So, I couldnt find a hotel... And the price is too high..I wanted to go to the airport in the early morning, so I chose this hotel..But it is located just beside of the railway... and the furniture was so old and dirty...
The hotel its very clean, but the staff is rude and not professional, if u dont care about customer service its kool, also i dont know if it was only the day i went there or if its always...but god damn its pothead heaven there, u can smell it in the hallways, in the elevator...if u dont care about walking out like someone who smokes weeds its kool, i did not like it.
Hotel location is very good. As the flight is late, it is already night to the hotel. The front desk staff is about to close the registration, so the check-in procedure will be completed soon. The room feels good, no matter from which angle. There are many choices for breakfast and the staff is very polite. Overall, this is a very good experience.
Very comfortable room. The beautiful large bathtub, the view from all the windows is very beautiful. The best breakfast I have ever stayed in Italy. Everything I love here will come again. The staff is very helpful. Walking to the town is short. There is a bus stop close to the hotel.
I live there to attend a meeting, so I didnt turn around at the hotel. The rooms are average and clean. The bed is comfortable! If you like, Starbucks coffee is in your room. Room service is great! But considering the price of the room here, I expect more, but maybe this is the average price in New York City.
10 minutes walk from citi field, home of NY Mets.It is very convenient to go to a baseball game or a concert. It is a strength that there is no worry on the way back.It is convenient to go to Manhattan immediately near Metro Station. However, I was surprised that I could not use the card key every day. I had to go to the front each time.I can not think in Japan.I feel that this is a foreign country. There is not refrigerator, safe box in room either.Clean service is not every day.On the first day there was no bath mat.Hotel staff does not say hello.I said to open it because the breakfast yogurt lock was locked.I can not recommend it except baseball and a concert.Although it is possible to stay at half the price of Manhattan, it is questionable because the security is not so good.
WIFI is bad & TV is monoIt couldnt be used in the room because the wifi was weak, and it was outdated if the TV wasnt digital. Im worried that my luggage will be stored by myself in the luggage storage area. Im worried about the smell of the room. I have stayed at over 100 hotels in the United States, but for the first time I didnt have a coffee maker in my room.
It is a very beautiful hotel comfortable bue. Service of the best good quality bue. Price comfortable bed you shower bathroom service everything clean cozy good customer service lift fresh air good holors wide bed for 2 sheets clean soft pillow all wonder good carpet refreshing lobby wide aisle bars for the stairs protection on the stairs furniture for the client While you wait for fast and safe attention, be satisfied. I loved visiting the crown hotel

2022-03-19My flight was canceled and needed a last minute accommodation, but I would not recommend this hotel even for 1 night. They have music in the lobby all night clearly audible from the room. Very loud, this hotel doesn’t have any quiet time rule even in the middle of the night.

2022-05-24The ac unit made an annoying clicking noise all night and about every 5-10 minutes you can hear a very loud train car overhead the room. It also is in a sketchy neighborhood and seems like they buy fake google reviews to artificially boost their rating. As a last resort this place does the job if you have a cancelled flight and need to sleep and you can manage to fall asleep in a loud room

2022-06-02Positive: The location is not the best. But the hotel is clean and the rooms and bathrooms are very clean. Walking distance to restaurants, city field and tennis center, I would stay here again, Negative: I was disappointed that there was no coffee in the rooms

2021-09-08I agot my flight canceled, and needed a place to crush. Based on Google search I picked this hotel. It was clean spacious room, didnt have any coffee or water in the room not USB charger. Expensive compared to Manhattan hotel which offers more amenities for less. Probably got at higher price due to last minute reservations.

2019-07-12This place was DISGUSTING. I spent $210 on a night here. There were long black hairs in my bed, all over my bathroom, and the bathtub had clearly not been cleaned in weeks. I mean truly disgusting. While the bed was large, the air conditioning was not strong, the TV was distorted, and the neighborhood made me uncomfortable. Also, I paid in advance, and they *still* made me pay when I arrived. You can hear the train passing by about every 20-25 minutes throughout the night. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Truly a terrible place.
