The people answering the phone are rude and frankly seem like they want to NOT sell you tires. I was given completely wrong information that if I ordered my tires on the Costco website, they would have them with 2 days at the shop. So I went online as told by the person answering the phone and ordered the tires. When I called back to schedule a time to have them installed I was told that no I would have to wait 5-10 business days because I ordered them online instead of physically coming in and paying for them in person to get them in 48 hours. He also said they did nothing over the phone (which is just stupid knowing that you still have to come in physically get the tires installed!). Its not like you could run some phone scam and NOT come get the tires in person with the credit card.Ridiculous.
Are the tires and services fees cheaper than local tire stores and mechanics? Usually, yes. Is the service top notch? Not exactly. I feel like its the jiffy lube of tire shops, just people with the bare minimum knowledge of one part of car care, or at least thats how the employees Ive tried being patient with act towards me. Last three visits put such a bitter taste in my mouth, I am not sure if I will eve return again. First time, a staff member told me, youre better off going to Mavis Tire than here. (Seriously??? Advertise competition rather than just doing the job?) Second time, a week after the staff member told me to try Mavis, I asked a different employee if they could just put an order in for the tire I needed. The staff member said sure, it would be 3 weeks. Came back in 3 weeks an they had no clue what I was talking about when I asked if the tired I had ordered had come in yet. last time I went in, I was told all variations of the tires for my car were discontinued. The reason was my car was too old. I ended up going to a local, nearby mechanic from this location and got the same exact tire the employees told me was discontinued. Should have just sucked it up and gone there in the first place instead of thinking I would be getting a deal coming to this place. Go figure...
Wait time on the front end is much too long. You need more help handling sales and scheduling. One man handles all phone calls and paperwork. Often you cannot get through on phone. Today there was a 3 hour wait for service after waiting on line to purchase tires. I gave up for the second time.
I purchased 4 new tire at this location and i was helped by Dante hayes. He was very professional and nice with the whole process. I had to comeback to rechecked my tire balancing but he was able and ready to help me to make sure everything was fine. I am happy with the service and Dante hayes keep the good work... 💪Update 11/20/2020: 4 years and 6th tire rotation later, i feel satisfied with the high level of service offer by the costco tire team.Dante and Richard took care of my tire rotation and a tire repair. Process was smooth and in and out in 45 minutes.
Over torqued my tires and wheel stud finally snap . Left front wheel pop out . Couldnt get the towtruck bc it happened during a holiday 3 day weekend. Lost a day work and had to figure out how to fix to my self. I called they offered to reimburse me for the repairs. But I didnt had to cash to pay it out of pocket up front. The product of tires are great but if your the last guy in the shop be sure to watch them.
Very nice and helpful staff. Eventhough I couldnt wait for them to special order a tire for my mini cooper the gentleman that was assisting me, Erick I think his name was, was very helpful by giving me other tire shops near by that might be able to help me.
I have always had superior service. I am prepared to pay more for tires from Costco. They stand behind the products they sell and install. I never had a problem. They are the best.

2022-05-11I ordered two tires and asked them to put my two good ones from the back in the front. They said yes of course we always do that. I still asked them over and over to make sure they would do it. It too k them 2+ hours to replace the ties. I thought, they had to change 4 ties so I did not really pay attention, but once home I noticed my used front tires were still on. I had to go back to be told they had thrown them away and that they would look for them.. still waiting. They seem not very together and really dont care about customers indeed. I would not recommend at all. Nobody seems to listen to the customers request, even after asking over and over...After a month wanting to replace my used tires, I am still stuck with them and hundreds of $ down the drain thanks to Costco Tires Yonkers

2022-01-12Quality service and products with value pricing, BAU costco. I came in for a flat fix, the garage tech determined the tire needed replacement, they ordered it & under their road hazard warranty I only had to pay NYS fees, about $18. When I returned for the tire installation the professional and friendly front manager, Jamaican man, upon seeing me, remembered I had a Lexus. The tire tech replaced the damaged tire and even remounted the spare under the car! Id never go anywhere else but costco tire.

2021-08-02Tire center staff doesnt care about customer service. I pulled up in front of an empty bay, and the tech tells me I have to park and go inside to make an appt. Fine, you need to boss someone around, I get it. So, I park (its super busy in the warehouse, mid-afternoon, so I had to park far. The tech obviously knows this, and wanted to play his game). I run into the office, wait my turn, tell the guy I have a punctured tire, and he says you need to make an appointment. Cant do anything today. Not even take a look. There are four bays, only one had a car in it. On my way out, as I write this, I pass the bays again and I hear the guys talking about a woman passing by. You get the idea.Costco, perhaps you cant hit a home run with everything, but this low level of customer service is a blight on the Costco name. If a service cannot be provided, fine, but at least pretend you care about the customer.

2019-10-04Roger (the manager) and Bryan (the technician) were so helpful when I had gotten a flat tire. They were very professional and went the extra mile to help me. Both were pleasant and so kind. They were able to answer all of my questions, and did a great job changing the tire.

2019-11-24Tire Center in Yonkers, NY has the worst customer service. When I ordered the tires, someone else who had ordered tires was trying to get them installed, but apparently the shop lost them. When I got to the shop to have my installation, even with an appointment, it took three hours to complete. The one service rep was even arguing with someone from the back in full earshot of all the customers. Then, the store made me find the car on my own, which they parked in the very back of the very busy parking lot, in the pouring rain. Never going for tires there again.

2018-03-27My husband and I came here immediately having to use a spare because we got a flat on our way to ifly. We were about an hour out from where we live and I was hesitant on coming to Costco for tires because of the poor reviews. But we were both pleasantly surprised by the service all of the guys at the tire shop. Unfortunately they didnt have the tires I needed in stock but they gave us helpful suggestions. I wish this Costco was closer to home, I would definitely make it my go-to spot for tires.
