Costco Wholesale in other cities:
I been going to this Costco location in Vernon Blvd Long Island City since I became a member in 2011. Great benefits for Costco membership. You have to buy regular membership for $50 but you will get rewarded with cash back for getting points buying from Costco. Executive membership $120 something but again you will be rewarded with cash back. They send monthly discount on whole sale items in mail for member. Convenient parking spot available in front and nice East River with view of Roosevelt Island. They give away tasting of some selected items and put them in sale. They can beat the price of most of the giant stores in New York city. They have a food court and liquor store unbeatable price. Their Chicken bake and turkey sandwich are really good. Their meats are expensive but they taste really good. There is another location in Queens Blvd but this location is better. There is big park behind it near by river for kids to play and family gathering or picnics.
Love it ! Place clean ,huge , well organized ! and I just edit my post cause honestly it did help me a lot to shop from Costco instead of the supermarket when the prices raised like hell 😤😡yes the priced did go up in costco as well but still a bit better especially when youve got kids 😜
I love this Costco! It’s super conveniently located and there is free parking available. Definitely come early on the weekends because it does get crowded. I will warn you that this Costco isn’t the biggest but they do have your basic items. I also realized that this Costco doesn’t make cupcakes, just cakes. Also if you have kids there are 2 parks that you can take them in the nearby are that are located in the waterfront.
Ill have to admit, when I saw the queue to enter trailing into the parking lot, it was a little unbelievable. But the line went quickly and they disinfected our carts. There was more room to shop than on normal days and even though half the resisters were open to leave 6 ft between customers, check out went fairly quickly. Everyone was extremely helpful and it was a really nice experience.
This store doesnt carry motor oil no bird seed on weekends running out of Canada dry and sometimes water .even Sunday evening sometime u cant get organic eggs .its a very busy store Costco should consider customers comfort seriously .why should a customer has to go all the way to Long Island or 5 town to find stuff
Good place for wholesale shopping. We can find almost everything from electronics to clothing, eatable to drinkable items and medicines to toiletries. If you are hungry you can find precooked and prepared items at reasonable rates. They do have a restaurant too within their premises where you can find pizzas, hot dogs, sandwiches, sodas etc. The best thing is that if you buy anything which you later realize is not needed or is excess as per your requirement, you can easily return them without any hesitation.
Costco is way better than BJs .BJ is a little expensive ( if a $100 shopping is done at Costco it would cost $110 at BJS. At this particular store most of the time you dont find things ( now a days its short of cooking oil Canada dry soda & on weekends even organic eggs ) .this store also dont carry motor oil and bird seed .you have to go all the way in Long Island .
This is a great Costco. Very large space and excellent service. They always have everything you need and I love coming here to shop for groceries, staples and everything else in-between. I wasnt a discount warehouse shopper before, but this helped confirm all the great benefits you get from a Costco membership that definitely make it worth it. Highly recommend.
Very good deals for litterly everything 💯, shoes are very good quality and they are very cheap, I’d rather buy some sneakers here the actually do to any other footwear store like sketchers for examples. They have the best food around the area in the food court, everyone is social distancing and they provide really cheap health care, when your a member at Costco the prices for normally expensive things for electronics but here they give you like a 150$ discount which is valid.
Much better than the Brooklyn store. More parking and since its only on one floor there arent waits to use the escalators. Also there is a tire center here, while the Brooklyn one was removed a couple of years ago.No skim milk is sold here or at the Brooklyn store which annoys my wife.
I spent years wondering if I should actually bite the bullet and get a Costco membership, and now I basically go there weekly! This place is great, totally worth the chance to snag some great deals on some quality foods. If you can drive there and fill your car that is perfect, but for me I always had to carry things back to my place and finally got a hand cart as well to help. The cost for membership is small compared to the savings and also getting a chance to buy some decent items in the process. The added liquor store to the side of this location as well makes it attractive to stop on by and get exactly what you need maybe for a party in bulk. Get the membership, you wont be disappointed. Go on now, go get the membership!
It is my Best supermarket place! Good merchandise, good customer service BUT sometimes , you can meet some rude workers in the aisles. You ask them a question and the answer I dont know or they give you wrong information just to get rid of you.The supervisors are more professional than workers.Costco needs to take care of it.Besides the workers, Costco has tasty fresh food and bakery. Kosher, Halal food aisles too.If you want to end up your journey at Costco, get a pizza or sandwich or hot dog (kosher) or a churro with any refreshment or a smoothie from food court of Costco. You can also enjoy your food with a nice view on the river. There are some bunches where you can sit.Roosevelt Island is in front of you!
The individual in the picture came to my aid when the automatic wheelchair which I got from Costco lost its charge right in the exit. I called out for someone to help me and no one payed any attention until Chad came along. He was professional and kind. He gave exceptional service to me with a disability. He walked my groceries which were already bought to my car and he proceeded to place my groceries in the car trunk. He took the wheelchair out of blocking the door where it turned shut down. Chad provided excellent intervention and he was kind and carful. I would like to commend Chad and commend Costco for hiring this outstanding worker!! Thank You!!
Just shopped here 1hr ago with 2 very bad experiences.1:purchased 4 tires for replacement on 2/27, order arrived on 3/2, went there today to replace tires(appointment made on 2/27), only to hear only 3 OF THE TIRES ARRIVED AND NO ONE KNOWS WHEN THE 4TH TIRE WILL ARRIVE. NOBODY HAD A COURTESY TO TELL ME about the situation for 10 DAYS since the order arrived- time & money wasted2: Bought sharper image power percussion deep tissue massager and opened the box after I got home(40min. drive)- guess what- IT WAS AN EMPTY BOX! called the place for 5 times, NO ONE PICKS UP THE PHONE. I dont know how they will treat me when I go with the empty box for exchangeoverall seemed like a highly dysfunctional & unorganized place
Good prices with some deals better than on Amazon!Clean venue, but only I dont like is the fact there are few employees there on the floor, so if you need something its gonna be a little struggle to find it.Also, keep in mind that some of items are sold only in bulks (milk, eggs, juices, etc).Avoid weekends, go during weekdays if you can.Convenient location.Big parking lot.Lastly, make sure you bring your own bags, since they dont have any.
I would have expected a response but it goes to show... They dont care.We pull into the most dangerously unattended parking lot I have ever been in. We being myself, wife, and 5 week old. The lot was so filled with uncollected carts, cars were blocked, handicap spots wasted and a man I believe named Raphael with a Cart pulling machine blocking 7 cars into a traffic jam sprinkled with pedestrians risking their lives to get into the store. He refused to move when asked. Upon attempting to return bottles, again unattended, people were arguing and fighting, cutting and general stupidity because on one machine was not filled. This is where it gets WORSE! My wife walks with the baby to ask for help and is told to walk with the baby into the Parking lot to find someone elses to help. When I laid a person, I swear he looked at me, ignores me and kept walking. A customer allowed is to use the machine as at this point our child was in hysterical tears. Then we get inside! There are no wipes for the carts and no hand sanitizer. They were not cleaning the carts prior or providing anything to do so on your own. We were told that there were other places in the store to get the wipes and sanitizer stations. There was nothing in the store. We asked an employee and they tried to tell us where we could find wipes to buy?I also want to make a point of the lack of reasonable actions or thought by the employees. We needed baby wipes, this picture is what we find. Do you want to buy something someone was just walking on?
Pretty cool cotsco, the bakery instead of been inside the cotsco it is outside. It is convenient for people that are not members as u can get food with no membership. The only downside side is that this cotsco is close to Astoria projects, and sometimes you might get some undesirable characters as I experienced in 2012 but outside of that is a cool cotsco.
Large beautiful costco. There is also a liquor store attached. Inside is spacious. They have a large selection of everything. The only complaint is that the lines are always too long and the weight is more than 15 min. However the staff is very friendly. Outside is seating that faces the water. Its glorious. This is our favorite Costco.
Everything was wonderful! Costco from 3250 Vernon Blvd, Queens, NY 11106. Exemplary service ❤ I am so happy and satisfied! I recommend it to everyone who needs a good eye exam! not to mention the super efficient technology equipment ❤ Congratulations to the entire team that assisted me.
A classic carrot cake can’t be beat. This place makes it the way it should be, with the right balance of spices and sweetness. Let me not forget the perfect cream cheese frosting- perfection! You can grab a slice of a carrot cake or a whole cake. I recommend ordering the whole cake. This place is an Institution!
Costco at that location should be divided to 3 parts1- THE supermarket that is very convenient with great customer service and the best time to shop is at night from 6pm to 8pm as there is no crowd at all. “Most of the crowd is in the morning”2- Food court needs more attention from management.3- Tire shop service is not recommended from a previous experience.Unfortunately there is no Costco gas station at that location.
Im a big fan of Costco, however we found a lot of molded shishito pepper product in the produce section. Disappointed to see what looked to be a whole pallet of molded peppers. See white mold on the stem of the peppers pictured in three different packages. I figure its a one off. Ill continue to shop here, and I will revise this review depending on future visits.
I have been a steady customer since they opened. This was a 5 stars place with outstanding customer service , supplies, and employees. The management must have changed. The artisan bread was not available at noon or at 6:00 pm.Two weeks ago at 2:00 pm on a Sunday the ladies working in bakery told me they will have it when all the other breads are sold. I spoke to the manager/supervisor Kenyatta (?). Unbelievable attitude. She did not even look at me when I spoke to her. And I am not a Karen. I am polite and respectful. I, too, work for a living. The negative change has been going for few months. They had the bread today, however. The shelves are not stock. Friday there were empty boxes from muenster cheese but no cheese whatsoever. Never seen that in Costco before. The shelves are disorganized. Empty boxes all over. Please bring back hands on management. There were two men, managers, always there on weekends, on all aisles, making sure all is stellar. Too bad I do not know their names. One was Asian. Outstanding, respectful, professional, and helpful. Please dont allow such an establishment to fall apart. For now I will consider moving my shopping at BJ.Did I mention there is no hands sanitizer for a long time? Why you still keeping the dry dispenser at the entrance?
Ive been to many Costcos around the world. Every Costco location has their own unique quirks and caveats. This location has the smallest Costco parking lot Ive ever seen. There is only 1 way in/out. This leads to heavy congestion of cars going in before realizing there arent any parking spots and driving right back out to look for parking elsewhere. Most other locations have at least 2 means of ingress/egress.
I like the stock and availability of items at this Costco. Free parking is a plus too. However, at 5pm on a Sunday, there were A LOT of people and some shelves and items were a mess. There were shoes all over the aisle, many produce boxes turned upside down in the walk in refrigerator and the bathrooms were disgusting. I am hopeful that its just the Sunday late afternoon rush thats causing this. Otherwise, a very well spread out warehouse with separate food court, liquor and tires.
It can be really busy, but the staff does a great job with the crowds and you cant beat the deals. Dont forget to stop by the food court outside for a hot dog. Also, you dont need a membership to shop at their liquor store. There are some great buys in there! Be careful in the parking lot though, its like Thunderdome out there. Lots of bad drivers in oversized vehicles that barely fit in the tiny parking spots
Its crowded, which is usual for Costco. They dont have childrens toys and the clothes are a bit pricey, so I stick to the food. Sometimes they run out of stock for a needed item and Costco in general needs more options. This specific location is usually clean, but the staff can be a bit more polite and understanding.
All observations and pictures were taken on a day with moderate store traffic (2 people in front of me at cash register):- spilled food and broken containers everywhere: coffee beans all over the place. Nothing cleaned up.- No restocking of merchandise, no removal of empty cardboard boxes, no cleaning up of spilled food- one female employee at returns counter just fiddling with her smartphone. Shooting angry looks at perplexed customers waiting in line, just slacking off while giving customers attitude.- in many cases the shelves just display empty containers (this Costco feels like a store in Venezuela under Chavez or Maduro)- couldnt find one cardboard box with Navel oranges that didnt have mildew and that werent rotting away- got home and discovered that one of the plastic containers also had bad apples, half rotten- in many cases it looked as if an employee had started a task and then just abandoned it half finished: look at the pictures of the broom parked in a corner or the inventory list left on the shelves or the shopping cart filled with empty cardboard boxes or a roll of pallet wrap left on the merchandise- many aisles halfway blocked by high stacks of empty cardboard containers- harrassed in parking lot by a pack of teenagers from the nearby housing project for money. Cant Costco hire a security force to protect its customers safety while loading their cars?Who is doing the hiring at this Costco in Long Island City?Isnt it time for some adult supervision?I have shopped at this store for 13 years and the store has completely gone to hell! VENEZUELA is here right among us at the local Costco.
The manager went above and beyond to retrieve the Kirkland toilet paper for me without hesitation as soon as they came off the truck was good timing for me because I didnt leave the store yet I was just at the checkout so I was very impressed so thank you for having such a dedicated worker so thank you for having someone who responds to their customers no matter what it is charlotta Williams Astoria Costco
Costco always offers the best prices and selection of items. This location is very much similar to other Costcos in NYC. Staff are very helpful and the large parking lot guarantees parking at any time of the day. The food court offers great quality pizzas, hotdogs, and beverages at low prices. The tire center here is my go-to if I need to switch out my tires. Be aware that Costco does not switch individual tires and they are required to switch out tires in sets. The wait time is significant so its best to do some shopping while you wait for them to finish.
We all know Costco stores. With their ups and downs. I usually coming here once every other week so I am buying a lot each time. but no matter what I do it is never enough. lol.Best soda prices ever. Best nuts you will find. Best clothes prices. Not the best parking and checking out.
Competent, courteous line workers, intelligent management and supervisory staff, more than adequate parking. And, of course quality CostCo branded products at really great prices. Only downside is that singles, especially older singles, may find it difficult with the Big Box tradition.
Coscto is my place to go for bulky shopping. I am very satisfied with their products and although it is still very difficult to find disinfecting wipes, all other products are available. Lines are not too long and so far staff has been very helpful at directing me in the right isle to find items I need. The glasses department is very convenient and their prices are better than other places.
CostCo at Long Island City.. Place was clean and un order. The nice girl at the membership desk was super nice and professional. I also would like to thank the cashier, Lea who had a great attitude eventhough the store was a little crazy. You need people like that in these craze times. They make you feel normalcy. Thanx guys for your hard work
I recently had to return a complex item and the customer service at the membership/refund was fantastic. I especially want to thank Raul for his profesionnalism (and always smiling) that makes Costco a fantastic company, as well as Jay, his manager.Living in Manhattan, I was going to the Manhattan location but now I go this location which is much bigger and nicer.
Always crowded and long wait times at the register. Staffing needs to be managed better to compensate for volume, because westbury location just as big and busy but wait times are about 1/2 the time. At the same time Im not blaming any employees there, everyone is always friendly, hard working and helpful.
Love Costco, I am a member since 1992.Everything is a great quality and the prices are lower than any other store. The return policy is great, never had a problem returning something.Their stock value is high, I wished I had bought it when they first went public. Thank you Costco!!!
I love to go this place because of its free parking lot. Overall customer service is good except the food court. Cashier and the worker who take order for pizza and other food are rude. Last time feel like I came to order a pizza in wrong time when I order a pizza at 7:10pm when the cons to closed at 8 pm.
Optics department I was just at this location I have bought 5 pairs of eye lents here and today I broke one of them I came in to get another frame to put the same glasses in a same or similar frame by because I need them to read and drive well for my surprise the lady at the counter told me that I better get a new pair of glasses all together not just the frame because she was not going to compromise her license to sell me another frame, I told her that I need the lents today because I was going to be driving out state and at night, she was more interested in selling me another pair then providing service to an existing client I was amazed with this incompetent employee, her license is worthless as long as she has this attitude to deal with clients. To say she was useless is a short statement i went to another Costco to get my problem fix, when i told them about my experience they were very embarrassed that one their coworkers acted like that.
11/07/2020 (updated review)We would like to publicly thanks Jessy ( Assistant Manager of Costco LIC, NY) for honestly communicating with us with exceptional assertiveness pair with diplomacy and for handling the pressure put on him while he was being held accountable for the questionable performance of his staff. His analytical abilities as a leader allows him able to make difficult decisions quickly after doing his due diligence and assessing all options to be taken into consideration to resolve positively the issue for both parties (store services/staff performance and customers’ needs).Jessy “congratulations for your great leadership targeted for the continuous growth on good service for customers, appreciation to your team work staff and also for keeping full control over business and its performance at the same time. Great work done!!!!!!Best wishes for your successful growth through out your career path and encouragement to always do what is right.10/27/2020“Bullied by intimidating and aggressive attitudeinflicted to my disabled mother by a Costco employee at the food court”.During our most recent visit to Costco LICcomplying with the health rules imposed to the community by “The Center for Disease Control”of standard preventive steps to follow by the use of not only of “wearing cloth facecovering in public setting where social distancingmeasures are difficult to maintain” but also wearing gloves anddisinfecting them on an often basis to prevent the spread of the virus. After finishing shopping inside the store “wearing the required protective preventiveequipment at all times”, we decided to make one last stop before leaving Costco parking lot to buy from the food court 2 pepperoni pizzas, hot dogs and sodas “to go”.While we were waiting for the 2 pizzas inside the food court (with only 5 people inside aroundcoming in and out) as we kept a safe distance of more than 24 feet away from the rest of the customers; we decided to take off our masks to drink a little bit of our sodas while we waited for the rest of the order.Out of “nowhere” an employee from Costco came to bully my mother: (approaching to where we were secluding ourselves from others, shouting at her, intimidating her, scaring her, demanding from her to put on her mask immediately in front of him.Needless to say this situation left us feeling powerless and humiliated by his aggressive unnecessary approach that he purposely chose to enforce store policies as he claimed. This type of aggressive and bullying behaviors should not be tolerated and motivated on behalf of the employer for employees to deliver policies of the store. No human being (a child, a mother, a grandmother, a disabled person, and elderly person, a customer that is willingly to comply with all the rules, etc.) should be recipient of this inappropriate and unauthorized aggressive approach. We are proud and happy to say that we acted in a calm, respectful and peaceful manner following the demands the employee was imposing on my mother contrasting the unacceptable aggressive, bullying, intimidating approach that this employee had no right to inflict on us.We should all work together to prevent violence especially during this challenging times that our country is going through. We should all be accountable for not only for our mistakes but also for showing tolerance and respectful ways on how to resolve our differences regardless our skin color, religious orientation, believes, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, etc.Upon arriving home we decided to contact customer service and requested to speak to a manager whom was very apologetic courteous and empathetic and in the best disposition to address in a respectful and professional manner the terrible incident we were victims of many thanks to him.Hoping this episode is taking seriously by the upper management in order to improve the safe and pleasant environment needed to shop during these difficult times at all Costco stores.
Since the Pandemic started in March is Terrible going inside Costco. First the line is huge goes around inside the parking lot. Line does not move same person on line for 30 minutes. Inside Costco lines to pay are ridiculously long. I discovered all this just by asking to use the restroom. After I immediately left and visited a Local Supermarket. Costco been a great disappointment.
This Costco wholesale is one of the best in the City. Conveniently located in Long island City. Its very close to and from Manhattan. It has a parking lot and in the parking lot there is food for sale. They have a liquor store and a garage that sells and installs tires. They also sell prescription glasses at cheap prices. I never have a problem with items being out of stock this place is always fully stocked. They have very friendly staff and a very organized way of doing things. The lines are never long, if they are long, the staff is very diligent and get you out quickly. Shopping here is very pleasant and I have no complaints. The bathrooms are always very clean. I highly recommend this place.
PLEASE, Please bring a rogue cart or buggy into the store with you to help reduce vehicle damage (and free up parking stalls and walkways) as has happened to one of my trucks as the result of a wind gusts. As you walk to the entrance you will very likely pass several carts, why not just take one in with you?Nice views of Manhattan from the parking lot.Great value and selection. Selection is even better online.
Was there with my wife to return something we have purchase a couple of weeks ago. There was a line around the block I spoke with the girl all I needed do do is exchange something so call the manager, me and my wife are senor citizens I told him I couldnt come back to exchange the merchandise. This manager Jeffrey very sarcastic tells me there a lot of people coming to exchange and that I could wait like they are. Lack of management experience. Ive exchange stuff at Bj with no hassle. Time to give new training to these so call managers!
I get the ferry from midtown and it is only a few stops. The food court is a separate area which is nice but it can take a while to order and get your food (depending on the time of day). The quality of food and use by dates are good. I have never gotten anything that was soon to expire.
This is a members only store. It has big parking lot, but space is not enough when it is busy. Most of the time there are a lot of empty cart, but sometime people also scrimmage for cart. You would find evening like food, grocery, deli, electronics, electrical, ready food, fruits, households.staff are busy, so you could hardly find anybody to help. But customers are familiar with this store.
No no no no no‼️ This food court is ALWAYS out of things (condiments, soda plastic utensils) & ALWAYS semi-dirty. Its too popular and they are understaffed, ALL-the-time. Ive called the office while eating there, & even spoken to District managers, while in the food court! They dont seem to be interested in putting any more supervision, resources or EFFORT into maintaining and upgrading this facility. Having said that, I stop there all the time for the hot dog & soda BARGAIN.
Good for electronics, but little variety on vegetables, fruits that at the end even buying in large amount there are a lot of supermarkets that offer lower prices and better quality than Costco They ask you for social distancing and to wear a mask. But their employees wearing masks the wrong way and finally yesterday that guy started to argue with me calling stupid because I didnt know I was in the wrong line when both of them are cashiers; store manager told me he will look into and will give a call back but....

2022-01-25Free parking. The customers I encounter at this location behave as if they have never experienced such abundance -- reach over me, get in my space, lack basic manners. The personal shoppers are very aggressive as well. Not a pleasant shopping experience. Im in and out as quick as possible!

2022-05-28Fair amount of variety available at this location on Vernon Boulevard, however in comparison, the Costco Wholesale in Brooklyn is still my favorite.During my most recent shopping experience, I was surprised to see the store stocked with fresh sushi.

2022-04-23Well stocked in most sought out products and produce. Associates are friendly and helpful when one manages to find them. One noticeable concern: the whole store has only one coffee grinder for costumers.

2020-12-05Love this place! I started out by getting lunch at their little restaurant. Had a Slice and a large lemonade for less than $3 !!I was there on a Friday afternoon. So I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. No super long lines. Paper towels in stock. Free parking. Easy access back to Manhattan.

2022-05-17A wider range of nutritious drink then the Costco at Rego Park, and it has it own designated liquor store. The food court is extremely limited but overall it was a good trip.

2022-07-03Decent stuff at times. You go there 1 day they have everything you want. The next time you go they dont carry it anymore. The employees act like theyre all in charge. They either stand around and talk to each other or point for you to go to a cash register. No help at all.

2022-06-14I love this store . It is very clean and has plenty of options. Customer Service associate Rumi was informative and helpful. Thank you for amazing service
