The store was disorganized when I was there. A tripping hazard everywhere. Even if re-stocking, safety should be a priority. Staff not well trained on inventory and customer care; one staff member said they dont carry my item. Second staff member just pointed to general direction to find my item (duh). I wont return.
Thuis place is a very welcoming and friendly establishment. They took the time to show me the different option i could use. And when I ended up chosing the glass the employee took his time and made sure to cut it perfectly. They really give you the feel of an old time hardware store where people actually want to help you with your project.
Chris was very helpful, I came in with horrible paint from Lowes and he helped me match the color and was very friendly
Helpful staff, good product, not a long wait even on busy Saturday. They are always good about returns with receipt, honoring coupons, etc. Often have some very good deals on grills as well!
I am very disappointed in this store. I went here on April 16th at 6:30pm to buy potting soil. I ended spending over $50. I was with my daughter and her fiance. The whole time they followed us around and made us feel very uncomfortable. I asked the cashier a question and he had no idea and then I said Thank You and good bye after I got everything paid for and the guy said nothing back. They made us feel like we were going to steal or something the way they followed us around the store. I will never go back here. I am very offended. Very disrespectful place and the associates dont even know what they sell.
Matt the manager at Ace Hardware was fantastic. He ordered the shed that I needed and we got it ASAP! Then when I went to pick it up it was too big for my vehicle they deliver it for free! We couldn’t be more satisfied with your excellent service. We highly recommend them.
Was great. The associate was super friendly, she filled up my propane tank and helped me pick out the perfect Yeti tumbler to keep my Twisted Teas cold during yard work season.
Wow- I was very impressed with the store- Its clean, bright and well organized. The People were attentive, friendly and very helpful. It will now be my first stop hardware store. The paint department is excellent- they even carry Benjamin Moore. Associate Matt Sawyer does a wonderful job.
Very helpful. Tinted our paint purchased from Restore as a community service. Great to see the support they give to the community, an example of which was the special needs individuals helping with stock and supply and the way staff interacted with them. A bunch of nice, friendly people!

I ordered what I needed online and used the curbside pickup today for the 1st time. It was super easy and quick. Ace employees are extremely friendly and helpful too. Maryann, the manager is awesome and exceeded my expectations.

Good in a pinch when you something right away or they have a sale but they are pricey compared to big box however they are more personable than the big box stores. They are done with Christmas stuff way too early. Went there like 2 weeks before Christmas and there were almost no decorations left. I used to get all my decorations there but sadly not anymore since I dont want to get them before Thanksgiving.
Very disappointed in this store. They are very un informed about what they sell. They made me feel very uncomfortable by following me around the store. The associates were talking very inappropriate as well to each other. Not something you should talk to a co worker about at work. Disgusting
Staff are helpful, small town mom and pop store feel. Prices are great and so is their return policy. Sales are often, and the rewards program is worth it. Most busy on weekends. Theyll help with any project till they cant anymore

Obviously more expensive than Lowes or Home Depot.But whenever I went there I had the most pleasant experience. They must train their employees so well. They are knowledgeable and courteous. They listen, are honest and will try to save you money.

Ace is a unique hardware store kind of feels like a mom and pop shop. I have been to multiple ace stores and always had a good experience. I went to this ace and one of their employees I wish I could remember his name. He was extremely helpful and patient since I couldnt figure out the exact gasket I needed. All of the employees I dealt with here at this ace were friendly.

Great local Hardware store. They have everything I need for any job around the house big or small. Helpful staff and quick service. They are able to answer most questions I have had. They do Propane refills as well.
Normally I love this store but so angry rite now I just left there and didnt realize they are price gouging the most publicly need items hand sanitizer almost 8 buck for a 12 oz bottle U should be ashamed of yourselves. After 13 years of shopping here I am done with this store !!!
Great neighborhood all purpose hardware store. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The store is well stocked and organized. I just wish the propane was cheaper. I always use this store and would highly recommend it.

This store is pretty small. Its also kind of disorganized. I was looking for something in there and it was in a completely different section than what I thought it would be in. But this place is ok for a last minute pickup of certain things if you dont feel like driving to the other big named hardware stores.
MATT THE MANAGER AND MARYANN WERE SO HELPFUL IN ASSISTING ME WITH MY ORDER OF 8 EXTRA LARGE ADIRONDACK CHAIRS WHICH WAS SO IMPORTANT TO MY WIFE AND I AS THEY WERE A GIFT TO OUR DAUGHTER FOR HER BIRTHDAY. THEY MADE SURE MY ORDER WAS PROCESSED QUICKLY AND ASSISTED ME IN THE STYLE CHAIR THAT MY DAUGHTER WOULD LOVE WHICH I FOUND TO BE VERY HELPFUL. MARYANN WAS EXTREMELY PLEASANT AND HELPFUL AND WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL. THIS IS WHY I ONLY SHOP AT THE ACE HARDWARE IN NESCONSET, NY. Excellent store !! Employees are friendly and helpful. I did have one bad experience awhile ago but it seems the owner or manager must have delt with the issue. This store is very clean and organized. Its great to have a family business in town. My first choice is always Costellos Im not a fan of the big box stores like Lowes or Home Depot most of there employees have no idea about there department. The employees at Costellos are educated about there inventory and if there not they go out of there way to get you a answer. Thank you
Excellent customer service and friendly staffs you can find anything you need in your home to do or fix something. I went there to get some staples for my stapler which is hard to find in other stores.
Needed some insulation for air conditioner and I went to Lowes and home depot and neither had it. Went into Ace and they had many different sizes and shapes. Always find what I need here.
The store is really convenient. You wont find building supplies but you will find most home repair items. The staff is very helpful and customer service is outstanding.
Everything is priced significantly more than home depot & lowes (ex. $29.95 for the same paint that was $19.99). Asked paint employee to tint the can of Kilz, said they cannot tint primer. The label said tintable right on it. One other visit I was told they did not sell the cans of oops paint that are sitting on the shelf with price tags on it. They wouldnt let me buy it.

Ace Hardware in Nesconset, NY is great. The only reason for no five star review is the small size. But even though it is small, they always have what you need, and the staff is always more than helpful.
This store has almost everything, is local and saves trips to the big box chains. Also staff is always within earshot and knowledgable.
They were open late on a Saturday. They had what I needed (Krinner Christmas tree stand) and they were very helpful.

2022-03-01I had a $10 birthday coupon. Took a while to find something for $10 that was not on sale. Had to buy a candy bar for $2 so I could use my $10 free birthday coupon. Wanted to buy a bag of wild bird seed but it was on sale 11.95so couldnt use my coupon for that even though I would have paid the extra money. To me that was weird. Pete was very helpful.

2022-03-08Just came from my favorite store Ace (Costello) hardware. Whenever I go in there they always have just what I want. Always someone there to help you or give some advice. Today my Sister and I worked with Pete, he is wonderful, so very helpful and a delight to work with. I am 77 years old lady and believe me need help with my purchases. I never go to Home Depot or even Lowes — everything needed is right at Ace and no hassles or crowds. Try them you also will like them.

2022-05-26Terrible service and store. Went in the store to have keys made and purchase other items. Guy in the key department tells me I have to get in line. He points to the register line. I look for the line only to find a cahs register line with 1 person. He then takes a customer who went up to him and told her he would be right with her. After she walked away, I asked him if whether or not there was a line or perhaps he did not want to take me as a customer. I questioned his intent. The cash register guy starts throwing F bombs at me. Getting angry I ask him how he can curse at a customer the way he did. Never, ever going back.

2021-11-11Went there for expertise in fixing a plumbing issue. Got help from someone who never dealt with a plumbing issue in their life, and had no idea how to help me. Excellent reason to continue with big box, say what you will but at least most of the people have some practical experience.

2021-08-14Absolutely great experience at Ace, I purchased a patio umbrella at this location. All of the staff was very nice and polite. Kevin went above and beyond and actually carried out a 28 pack of water for my wife when I didn’t have an extra hand free when carrying the umbrella, highly recommend!

2021-06-30Most of the staff is helpful and knowledgeable. I recently purchased a grill from them and although they were out of stock the young lady that helped me found one in another store and had it picked up, assembled and delivered within a few days. Great customer service
