Amazing place, akin to a visit to the aquarium. I try to patronize small business, especially now more than ever. This is a great place with reptiles, tons of fish/marine life, cuddly creatures and even a wallaby who roams the store. Kids love this place! Plenty of supplies in stock, friendly staff
Do not go here. I refuse to give this place any business until they fix their animals enclosures. Not only are the Reptiles kept in small enclosures but NONE of the Reptiles have UVB. This is life threatening to all these animals. I confronted the worker the man whoI presume takes “care” of all the Reptiles. He didn’t give me an answer after I informed him of it, he just said “they have basking lights” and walked into some random room basically just ignoring my question. It’s actually disgusting that these people are aware that they’re taking care of their overpriced animals incorrectly. If you look next to the reptiles you see they have plenty of UVB lights in stock. The young staff who work there are very polite. They’re also not too well informed on the animals they sell and there prices are way up there. I was told that crested geckos grow their tail’s back(they don’t) and they also didn’t know what kind of reptiles they had(or any info on them) also incredibly small enclosure sizes. They keep Degus in such small cages it’s very upsetting. Do not go here until they fix these problems.
I just bought a Guinea Pig there a few days ago, actually 2 and theyre all very nice and helpful there but Carrie and staff was such an amazing help and so sweet so shes getting 50 stars from me. I also buy my dogs food there as well. theyre the only ones who carry it. Anyway Carrie and staff made it such a nice experience and were overly pleased. Very knowledgeable as well. Thank you Country critters.
After spending over $2500 on 3 fish tanks pumps heaters heaters I went back A-day and a 1/2 later to return 3 plastic shelves unopened And they wouldnt give me my money back. They sold me a stand that sat in the Front entry way for years hinges rusty. I do not recommend spending a lot of money in this place this place. youre just a number to them. they dont care who you are what you spend They just want your money. They need a lesson on customer relations. Theres good business and bad business. Keep your $100. You guys need it more I guess.
After my daughter picked out a hamster and it was in a box they refused to sell it to me because I wouldnt buy a cage from them which they told me clearly was notfor that hamster. Needless to say my daughter left in tears. She just turned seven and it was her birthday present. She was so upset I ended up sucking it up and going back to purchase the hamster and the cage and then purchased a different cage from Petco. They also sold me a 2 lb bag of food that 10 hamsters couldnt possibly eat in 10 years.
I love this store and always go here for my fish supplies, but recently i went in to buy some new plants for my fish tank and the girl at the front desk was so rude she has blonde hair and was talking to other employees and ignoring me while i was checking out and trying to ask questions. i also don’t really enjoy being questioned (it’s almost as if they don’t want you to buy the animals, and they think ur ignorant when it comes to animal care) about the care of the animals i’m purchasing either. i’m well versed in animal care considering i own a few fish tanks and multiple exotic birds.
Easily my favorite pet supply store. Far more extensive than the name implies, this store always has the necessities for exotic animals as well as cats and dogs. The aquarium section is fantastic - wide selection of healthy corals and other marine animals, and a wonderful freshwater selection too. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and dont try to sell you things you dont really need. Keep an eye out for a friendly duck, cat, or wallaby who may come to greet you!
This amazing pet store has everything animals and more! My family has just purchased our second pet from them, three adorable kittens and were treated with such kindness from the whole staff, which you could tell knew very much about the animals. Absolutely the best pet store I’ve ever been to and I haven’t even mentioned how diverse the animal type is! 10/10 for sure
Fantastic assortment of fish and all the supplies you could ever need. There was one rude older man that worked there that they so dont need there because he creates a toxic vibe. He makes you feel so uncomfortable and nearly stepped on my puppy, forced me out of the way to do absolutely nothing but pretend to move items in order to watch another shopper. Apparently people have complained about him, but seriously, get rid of him.
Just want to take a visit to country critters just to let people know for future reference theyre in the middle of redoing their aquariums they have like no fish in the store all the shelves are being rebuilt and redone so theres no tanks and only a few fish and a few tanks its going to be a couple weeks before theyre finished
This is by far the best pet store on the island. This place is huge & has so much variety. The staff is extremely nice & helpful. It feels like an aquarium & a petting zoo not like a store. They have shop cats that wander for you to pet & play with, a shop duck & even a wallaby they take out for you to interact with! I will now be disappointed every time I walk into a different pet/pet supply store
In my opinion, best place to get fish for your aquarium, plus the fish products are great. The stuff you can never find because the other stores never have it... they got it. No need to order off amazon when you see this. Wide variety of all pet products, very friendly staff with experience. Plus a beautiful indoor pond, cute little critters for sale and theres even a DOMESTICATED WALLABY WALKING AROUND!! 👍
Awesome place for the kids, big and small. They have large aquariums with lots of exotic fish, they have rabbits, reptiles and even a (not for sale) wallaby mascot that runs about the store. Aside from all that excitement, they have a wide range of pet supplies and staff is courteous and very helpful. Definitely check this place out!
Can I give this place a 0? No? Okay...They do not care for their animals. Their reptiles are in worse shape than animals in big box stores. The reptiles are always looking half dead, and in bare-bones habitats. Every time I go in there the employees look at me like they dont want me there, and no one ever approaches me for help. To get mice I have to wait 20 minutes for anyone to even ask me if I need help even after making eye contact with me multiple times. An overall bad place and I do not suggest buying animals from them. Do not support their unhealthy animals/breeding projects.Literally youre better off buying from Petsmart or Petco. They have higher standards than this place.
I’m not the kind to leave reviews but after this visit I had to. I was so excited to come here, but left really upset. The reptiles are kept in horrible conditions. They had a cage that had both bearded dragons AND uromastyx together. Bearded dragons shouldnt even be kept together, let alone another species of lizard too. There was another adult bearded dragon who had ripped apart his whole cage and there was dry poop everywhere, he was clearly stressed and trying to escape. All the reptiles are kept in super small and filthy cages. Same goes for the rodents. They have stingrays in tiny tanks too. Seeing this really hurt my heart, do better!
I’ve never seen an aquarium store maintained so well. All the fish look healthy . Tanks are well taken cared for . They quarantine new shipments. They deserve an award for the care they give to their fish. Only problem I have with this place is that guy Dom who works in the fish area small bald guy . Very mean and has a bad attitude for no reason .
The place is filthy and there was stuff in the some of the isles that I had to step over and they are a little expensive. But I have sugar gliders and I guess they dont get too many people buying stuff for their species so they probably dont get good prices themselves. At least they carried stuff for them. They do have a wide variety of products for different pets. And have a huge supply of types of fish you can buy for your tank.
Honestly if it were going just based on the fish department Id give this place a 0. The reason Im giving 2 stars is because the staff in the front are not bad. The fish department is the worst with rude employees working there. Thats when you actually get someone to help you. When the staff walks passed you multiple times and dont ask if I need help, then you ask for assistance they make it seem like I am bothering them. If you dont like your job that much, maybe customer service shouldnt be where you should be working.
I used to be a fan of this place after taking my kids here for years to take a look at the animals and buy pet supplies. However, they are very over priced and by the looks of it, don’t treat their animals right. The place is also very dirty and the customers are very rude. You can find cheaper pet supplies else where. It’s time this place kept up with the times
I’ve avoided making this but I feel now it is necessaryif you’re there for the aquatics you wont be disappointed and thoroughly enjoyed the guys in that sectionhowever when it comes to the small animals, birds and especially the reptiles I would run far away. Management in that department is awful and they WILL act superior to you if you arent following their methods to the T they will yell at you, give you an insane attitude and be completely unhelpfulthey could care less and their “animals no comes first” motto couldn’t be further from the truthif you’re seeking employment here, DONT. any issue that management should be taking action on in regards to animal health WILL be ignored and then blamed on you when the animal is too far gone or dies. They will not set your animals up properly long term, they will not provide you the proper resources you need to be a successful new reptile keeper or small animal parentthey absolutely feed off ignorance and your willingness to listen to them blindly for profit especially if you’re willing to spend a lot, and if ANY issue arises especially in the first 7-30 days they will not help you but blame you, make you feel terrible and not work toward a solution or positively try to help fix the situationIf you’re there to buy pet rats just know they take their feeder rats that have been festering in their own waste withh 35 other rats in a feeder bin for weeks and bump up the price they usually have respiratory infections and since they’re meant to be feeders have terrible terrible genetics, i beg you to shop for your pet rats elsewhereoverall i firmly believe this place shouldnt be as popular as it is and is an awful environment
I used to really like this place. I had gotten my rats from here but I should have known from then that the animals weren’t really taken care of. My rat has a chronic sneeze from this place. And I also have a friend who just got a baby too and SAME problem. And to top it off, today I went in and I went to the rat section. There was a dead baby rat in the tank. I literally could not believe it when i saw it.Again a really cool place. Staff is nice, but they need to take better care of their animals. I was disgusted.
I have a 13 year old chinchilla with a heart murmur who can only eat liquid food. My amazon order was delayed with her food and I called every pet store and vet/ hospital searching for her food. Lucky Country Critters had it. The people were so helpful and kind both on the phone and in person. I have now cancelled my amazon order and will only get her food through this wonderful and friendly business and support local. The store itself is beautiful and worth the stop. Thank you country critters!! I will be back soon.
I enjoy this store because they have good products that you can’t typically find, and their aquatic section is lovely! But I give only 3 stars because I was being helped by a very knowledgeable young lady in aquatics, she was thoroughly helping me solve a problem in one of my tanks. But some older male employee came over and interrupted us just to degrade her and lecture her in an extremely rude and condescending way (for something very minor in my opinion, considering I also work at another store for aquatics) and I was so taken back by this. Not only did it make me feel incredibly uncomfortable but I felt awful for this girl. She is brilliant and a very hard worker from what I saw. Definitely rubbed me the wrong way. Every other employee I’ve ever met here has been wonderful. But this man has always been either rude or just blatantly unwelcoming.
Go visit their newest addition...the duck! Oh my goodness he is too cute and you can feed him too. He gently nudges all the fish out of his way to get his share! They had an African grey at the front desk that was so sweet and danced. Not for sale but entertaining. We came here to see what they had for sale in parrots. None. Too bad well have to come back when they finally get some in. Apparently people are buying birds quicker than they can get them in. Fun place to look around for sure
This store continues to sell animals despite the continuously rising number of abandoned and neglected pets across Long Island. The business claims to hold an Animals First mantra and yet arguably contradicts this statement through the sale of exotic animals and small pets. The NYS Senate has already seen the issues that arise with the sale of animals in pet stores and has approved a bill preventing the sales of dogs, cats, and rabbits. Its time for stores like this to follow suit and to adhere to a higher ethical standard--lest it wants to continue to lose customers.
Amazing store and an awesome unique pet store for anyone who is lucky enough to visit. Extremely dedicated and knowledgable staff who are eager to help and work tirelessly to help wherever they can. I dont get to visit as often as I wished I could but I always recommend them to anyone in Long Island. No matter what youre looking for whether its fish, corals, reptiles, birds, small animal, you name it theyve got what youre looking for. Really a special store - do yourself a favor and go visit and shop local.
I have been shopping for over 14 years there and wont go back again. It is about 6 miles away but I am going and searching for new place. I lost my coy last year all of them. I have 3 ponds and have spent a ton of money there over the years. Coy/cats/dogs/ wild bird food. I took my brother with me to buy new pump. Wrong one. I said I washed pump all hoses dried them with hair dryer the next day brought it they pointed to sign no exchanges no instore credit.I explained just spent 80 for new net and I am very good customer and take there advise over the years. I lost all my fish and had to start over. New algae bulbs ,food etc. Over 500 to start up minimum. There loss, but hurt over my treatment. Didnt speak too me just pointed to sign. They also sold me peace lily instead of lily for pond. This is only bad thing I ever wrote against any business. If I am disappointed i just said nothing I could not hurt any small business but there is no way they didnt care I was old customer and look at my return. If I said it was broken and lied I probably would get a store credit and they would still have it in their store. ??????
Biggest selection of popular aquarium fish Ive ever seen. They have anything you could ever need for an aquarium. A lot of stuff for reptiles and rodents too. The people there are very knowledgeable and can help people that are new to having pets. The place is very clean inside and you can tell they do their best to maintain it. There is always someone around to help you which is very nice.
Best pet store Ive ever been to. I got my little buddy here (hand raised parakeet). They are knowledgeable, helpful, clean and amazing with all of their animals. In addition to all the pets and pet supplies they have some animal friends that are staples there! I admit that I sometimes stop there even when I dont need anything!
Your rabbit purchasers are contacting us to rehome their rabbits. Stop your ignorant rabbit sales. You know what you are doing but the purchasers are not informed. One of your purchasers is going to ask you to take back a rabbit. Stop adding to the already abundant unwanted rabbit population. Rabbit rescues are overwhlemed thanks to these sales and breeding which is irresponsible. Wecannot be picking up after your messy ignorant rabbit sales.
Such an awesome place to visit! Staff are very helpful even when its busy, its an exciting, clean, & fun place to go. Unlike most other pet stores. They really do an incredible job in caring for the pets/ aquatic life being sold. Theres no other pet store like it! I highly recommend you go and check it out, you will not be disappointed!
Ive been going to Country Critters for decades. They have a diverse selection of pets which span very common to rare and exotic. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. We sometimes visit just to let our little one see all the different animals and fish. While they dont have the cheapest prices on supplies they are not part of a chain or franchise so it is expected. I shop at Country Critters not only to support local businesses but because of the options and experiences Ive had there.
Awful reptile care/husbandry standards, those in charge of them will give you uneducated, outdated or straight up misleading/false information and prey upon your ignorancethey will sell you products that harm your animal. youre better off spending your money elsewhere where individuals will guide you properly, encourage proper research and give you a healthy animal
I came here with my family to look for a bunny for my daughter. We went to about 4 other pet stores and this was by far the best. The employees were all very nice and were quick to offer help. We did come in very close to closing time and we werent rushed at all. I was helped by Jen who was very knowledgeable. She helped us from start to finish, answered all of our questions, and suggested a few items we would need. She was wonderful. We put the bunny on hold, set everything up the next day, and came back to pick up the bunny. Before taking her home they even clipped her nails for us. Gave us clear instructions on what to do for the next few days and its now about 3 days later and our bunny is doing great and is very healthy. We had a great expereince and i highly recommend this store over any other store on the island. 5 stars. There are also really interesting animals to see in this store! Theres a shark, a duck and a kangaroo.
A great place for buying or just browsing. Its a big place full of so many animals. Theres a huge diversity of different fish. They also sell snakes, lizards, birds, and pet food too. When you enter theres a pond of koi and their pet long Island duck named peep, you can feed him for 25¢. And even if youre not there to buy anything, thats alright, its like a mini aquarium.
By far one of the best pet stores ive been to. The have tonnes of exotic animals available. Good selection of animal supplies. They are so animal focused that they have a store dog and a cat roam around the store (honestly my favorite employees). The fish selection is great for both fresh and saltwater. Prices are comparable to most LFS. If only more pet stores were like this.
I absolutely love this place. There are so many differents types of pets for purchase and they have everything you will need for then. The staff is very knowledgeable and sweet. I recommend this place for anyone looking for a pet or for anyone who has kids that loves pets and wants to see them while they shop. They have so many options from small reptiles, fish, basically anything under the sea, to hamsters, rabbits, birds, snakes, and spiders. Of course they have cats and dogs as well. If you have never been there it is definitley worth making the trip!
Every other animal there is well taken care of. They are in good condition and their enclosures are nice and clean. My only concern is that they dont seem to know anything about tarantula care. Their enclosures were set up all wrong, so they were stressed and in poor condition. I bought one that was half dead to save it.
This was an amazing pet store, youre greeted with a duck and a koi fish pond. They have so many fun and interesting fish here. They also have a walbi roaming around along with a cat. They also have a large selection of fun and endearing birds. This is a wonderful pet shop I definitely recommend you stop by and see whats inside!
Cool fish store, some really awesome larger tanks. But pretty pricey, and the freshwater fish are chronically overcrowded. I came here looking for corydayous catfish, and not only were the tanks visibly overcrowded and tight, but the cory cats fins were all 100% shredded. The pandas, the bronze, julis and albinos all had shredded pectoral fins and nipped tails. A nice selection of fish, but man I would want to be a freshwater fish here. Compared to other local fish stores up the road, the fish quality is a little lacking. But they do have beautiful saltwater tanks/corals.
I bring my 4 year old son there and he loves it. First we have to feed Peep the duck and the koi in the pond. Then he wants to find the cat that walks around. Then we walk through all the fish tank area. Last time we were there the wallaby was walking around. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
I went there to start a new discus tank. Lots of variety to choose from. Very knowledgeable employees in the aquarium section. If they didnt know, they found someone who did. One gentleman in particular spoke to me for almost an hour, (sorry about the other customers waiting.) But he knew I was new to discus and wanted to be sure I had the information I needed. He also fed the fish for me so I could see which ones were the better choice. A bit expensive, but they did negotiate the prices when they saw I was serious. I purchase 3 discus one week, 3 more the next. All are doing great after listening to the experts. I will go back there to finish stocking my tank.
Place was awesome...Prices were really affordable and reasonable. People there were very knowledgeable and helpful. There was a huge selection of everything. I definitely recommend Country Critters for all your pet needs. A++Also they have a Walabee(sory if spelling is incorrect) you can pet!
The ONLY pet shop I trust to clip my birds nails. I usually deal with a woman whose referred to as the bird whisperer and I couldnt agree more. Since Michelle (believe thats her name) wasnt available when I recently visited, I had the pleasure of dealing with the owner. He was remarkably kind and considerate to me and my bird. I can honestly say their abilities in nail or wing trimming is akin to my avian certified vet. Thank you for turning a stressful task into a pleasant experience!
Wish I could give this place a zero star rating... First Id like to say they are very pushy here.. I understand wanting whats best for the animals but they push on you to buy certain things in order to get the animal you want, which makes sense but when you say Im going to get a different cage or different this they become kind of agitated... very pushy and nasty place that is hungry for some money. Everything is overpriced. Gave me wrong information about some of the animals. Sadly, I heard this was a great place to buy animals , i had to drive 25 minutes for this place just for them to give me two sick guinea pigs ... I love my two guinea pigs dearly and Im glad I got them help which Im almost positive country critters would not have helped because when I first had came in for a guinea pig.. I picked out this beautiful white guinea pig and was told I would not be able to take him home due to him having scabs, I was not educated on what that was , as I thought that was just an injury. I came back three days later to pick the other guinea pigs I had picked out since they were too young at the time to take home .. when I asked for the white one the workers all acted as if they HAD NO clue what I was talking about. The guinea pig I originally chose with the scabs was missing but the worker made it seem like there was never a white one, I had explained to him that when I first came to the shop I was told I wasnt able to purchase that specific guinea pig. That worker then told me to go tell the manager how I was getting told false information. Later on... a week later my two guinea pigs had scabs which I found out was a skin infection and mites... they had all the guinea pigs together knowing that one of the guinea pigs had active mites . I dont know what they did with that poor white guinea pig but I believe something very fishy had taken place . I had spent roughly about $200 with the vet bills. Between My two beautiful guinea pigs , Romeo and Ruffles !!! Glad I have them because I dont know what would have happened to them. On the positive side they have such wonderful and beautiful animals here.
After recently purchasing a bunny from them about a month ago, I decided I wanted to get another one of the same breed. I went there on Friday to buy fish supplies and seen they had a new set of bunnies. I was told by a worker that they’d start taking deposits on Sunday for them but if I really liked one I saw that I could call and put a hold on it. I called on Sunday just so no one took the one I liked and everything was fine. I get a call back telling me they weren’t taking deposits for those bunny’s until the middle of next week. It sounded a little odd to me so I went down there (I had to get stuff for my other bunny anyways) and I went back where the bunny’s were and I asked a worker if they were taking deposits as I seen the sign under their cage that said they were. She said “yes”. So, I proceed to the front counter to put a deposit on the bunny and the owner (who after the fact claimed she wasn’t the owner just a ‘manager’) told me they weren’t taking deposits for those specific bunnies. Totally confused, a different worker took my info but as I went to get the bunny supplies I needed, another woman who was looking at the same bunnies went up and easily put a deposit down on one of them ....I was told that the bunny I picked was “sick”. Then why was it in a cage with four other bunnies? Why didn’t you inform the lady who just bought one that her bunny was enclosed with a sick bunny? Both owners (husband & wife) refused to give a valid reasoning why I couldn’t purchase a bunny, YET, I already own/bought a bunny from them. He’s been to the vet and has a clean bill of health. Hes a terrific little guy. I would figure that a repeat bunny buyer, buying another one, would be easy. Both owners constantly claimed they weren’t the owners yet all their workers pointed them out when I asked who they were. I still have no idea why I wasn’t able to purchase a bunny. After all the money Ive spent at this store, I officially wont recommend anyone I know to go there. It was a nice place before they equally pulled this scheme. The young girls working didnt know what to do as they must have been told not to allow us to purchase a bunny for reasons UNKNOWN. Yet others were freely purchasing rabbits left and right? It was an unprofessional move on both owners parts. And Im still dumbfounded as to why I wasnt allowed to purchase a bunny. If the bunny is sick, then its sick. But surely you would remove the bunny from the same cage, wouldnt you? Ive worked within pet stores for 30 years. I know how they run. I cant imagine the ordeal for whomever goes to buy a lizard or a hermit crab. Plus, the girls working in the rabbit department are uneducated but want to jam this how-to-care-for-your-rabbit speech down your throat. And FYI, to anyone going to purchase a bunny from there, dont buy the oats they force you to buy. Rabbits cant have oats. My veterinarian who specializes in rabbits made it clear that oats can harm a bunnies digestive track. And secondly, they tell you that the bunny cant have veggies until a month after you get it. FALSE! They can have certain greens like lettuce but be careful with the carrots as its basically sugar to bunnies.Country Critters, my advice to you is to learn some professionalism, learn to be honest, and educate yourselves and your staff better about the animals you intend to sell.
Really interesting selection of aquatic and land critters. Love stopping I to see but everything is overpriced and when u think u getting a deal on an item turns out your not. Also have a very hard time maneuvering the wagon when I get water refills due too the slopes and narrow isles.
Looks great now! seams like it did a few years ago when the old owners where there .and they have some of the most experienced staff i have ever talked to.I couldnt believe the corals and Fish And fish and corals next time I need to bring lunch and spend moor time I didnt get to see it all the octopus and the zebra-sharks my favorites.my friends complaint was he went in four snails and left an hour later and spent moor then his wife needs to know we cant weight to go back!!!
This place used to be 5 star back in the nineties but has gone down hill. I recently came hear to purchase coral frags for my reef tank and was totally put off by all the pest aiptasia anemones I saw on just about every frag. The whole aquarium dept just looked shoddy and unclean. Left here feeling very depressed. A place that I used to hate to leave I now couldn’t wait to get out of. I remember back when they were in Medford on 112 the original owners were on Regis and Kathy lee with a rare animal they used to keep in the store, my how things have changed. No better than Petco now, maybe even worse.
If I could give zero stars I would. This place sold us a hamster and failed to give us the tablets to prevent “wet tail” which I then had to go back and pay for when I was suppose to be already given and I had to purchase stuff to get rid of my hamsters went tail when unfortunately he died and suffered. Then we purchased a new hamster which we got for “free” but has to pay the difference of the new hamster we wanted and now this hamster has passed. They obviously do not take care of their animals and they didn’t even seem concerned except the young women up front who was helpful. I’ve shopped here many times and will never ever shop here again.
They sold me a deformed catfish, and wouldnt let me look at it until after I bought it. When I returned the next day to return it, the tank it was in, along with all the other catfish in it, were gone. There was an empty section of the shelf where it was. They told me they never sold me the fish, and that I was wrong. Get this, the guy I was talking to was the one who sold it to me the previous day! Avoid the fish section at all costs!
I have been in lots of pet shops and this one really seems like a family who loves the animals. Not trying to shove pets out the door. I have seen them multiple times not sell animals so they can make sure the pets are healthy before letting them leave and I have never been harassed/upsold/etc.
I got a hamster but the lady in the store took very long to put it in a box because she was busy. The cages for the hamsters were either too small or too expensive. The hamsters were put in tiny cages and didnt have enrichment. They couldnt play, run far, or create tunnels.
So not just A pet shop..Its a quality store run by caring educated people who will assist and advise the customers in care, purchase and more of all pets, pet food, habitat and the like..amazing animals in there..Outstanding Fish selection..care like no other for miles!!Love the Pond set up with huge Koi/Duck..the free roaming cats,dog..its very welcoming..and you knoW they are into the Animal care..not just $$$$..as too many pet places are sadly!!! prices are good too..quality always top not!! Advice cannot beat!! ty to the fish man..always helpful!!
I have to visit each time Im in town!I was born and raised in Patchogue, and love outside of Philly now. Every time Im back in town, its a must visit with my kids!My sisters and their families are both still local, and get all of there supplies there. Suck a nice staff!
Horrible. I waited about 15 minutes to be helped and then finally got some only after asking and then waiting some more. I spoke with one of the people in the fish department and specifically asked for non-aggressive fish to go into my community tank. I did get a nice pair of guppies and a female swordtail, and then an albino rainbow shark. I thought sharks were aggressive, but I relied on this persons advice who said they would be fine. Wrong. Now they wont take the fish back and Im stuck with it. Never going back.
Very knowledgeable employees. Dont have to worry about someone who works with the birds helping u & trying to answer questions about fish out something they arent knowledgeable it trained in. When I need help with something I know the person helping me actually knows what theyre talking about. Thank you so much Country Critters 🐾💜🐈🐸🐦🐕🐢🐍🐠🐌🐹
They were very helpful had told me the right fish and the amount of fish that I should have in my tank it is my favorite place to go to get fish supplies and fish the people are very nice they take the time to show you what you need to know and they have reverie healthy stock
Love this place, awesome duck, you can fist bump him but dont let him get your fingers that hurts like a mother, awesome birds, great place to get rodents for your reptiles (good prices/variety) and some sweet animals to see too, a walabi, some coconut crabs, and some pretty cool fish and reptiles
Very disappointed the way they have those poor hedgies here. DO not buy them here. It is bad enough to buy them from pet shops. They arent given the proper food here. Hedgehogs Need specific cat foods, fruits, treats NOT hedgehog food from a bag. PLESE do your research before getting a hedgehog it isnt just an animal to give it whatever and to have for show and tell. Another thing that bothered me is the fact that they give them cottage cheese... they are naturally lactose-intolerant soo anything with milk doesnt help at all. One Maajor issue is the fact that theyre all in one cage.. this CANNOT happen, this is how you get a surprise litter. Guys please do not bother on getting your hedgie here let alone any other pet shops. This pet shop gets mad when you correct them on how they are suppose to be treating them, well maybe do Your own research and maybe you wont get any complains
Don’t shop here, my 16 yr old son saved up enough to buy a hedgehog. After only 2 wks started falling over & biting. Called their store , gave me a vets number, vet didn’t specialize in exotics. Couldn’t find anyone and when we finally did after calling 20 or so vets had no app available not even emergency. He died 3 days later. He was absolutely heartbroken and they did nothing to help but did say for us to spend hundreds on a test to see what it was. It was wobbly hedgehog syndrome. They did nothing to make it right and sold a 16 yr old a sick animal. 3 weeks after purchase it does , and they do nothing !!! SHAMEFUL !!!!

2022-05-28I love this pet store. I bring my Guinea Pigs here every few months to get their nails clipped and they do an awesome job. They are super fast and friendly to their customers. They have a lot of pets in the store that are not only for sale or adoption but their own. They let them roam around the store which is pretty cool. Great pet store. If you are looking for a bunny/rabbit to adopt/purchase please go here. They have so many and they are all in one cage. They need a place to call home!

2022-04-02The fish selection is awesome! Tanks look nice and clean. Will be back to purchase new additions for my tanks. Lots of great products for all pets. Reptiles and small animals all looked healthy. Birds could look better but overall a very nice shop!

2022-05-22Me and my family love this store. my daughter loves all the animals and fish she can see, my husband had picked up the hobby of keeping aquatic life; he loves the verity and how helpful everyone is. It so clean too, even with many animals it doesn’t smell as such and animals look well taken care of.

2022-03-02I bought a rabbit here two months ago. I questioned her behavior and they said she was fine and healthy. Now Im sitting at the vet saying she needs $4000 worth of work to make her ok again. I will never buy a animal from here again; its sad that they sell people unhealthy animals just for them to die

2022-04-02Just found this gem by mistake. Was looking for fish food and didnt want to drive out my way. The place is run by amazing staff that is so friendly. Its like a zoo mixed with an aquarium and it doesnt have an admission ticket.

2020-12-30This store is HUGE. The fish look healthy! They don’t have just fish they have chinchillas, a wallaby, fancy sting rays, all kinds of hamsters, cats, rabbits, beautiful finches, moray eels, all kinds of shrimp. Huge store, huge tanks, clear tanks. I only spent 15 minutes in the store because I came before they closed but it was so great. Will update my review after I actually buy something. LOOK. They even have a duck!
