Don’t even think about going here if you can. I never posted a review of a restaurant in my life but this one needs to be put on blast. My family and I wanted to celebrate my sisters birthday so we thought this place would be a good idea. We order some beers and wine to start and they are out of almost half to 75% of their entire drinks selection. The waitress came back 4 times to tell us what they were out of. EMBARRASSING!!!! The ambiance outside looks nice but indoors is very dark and depressing. We requested to turn on the TVs and of course they were not working either!!! What kind of tavern is out of almost 75% of their drink selection and the TVs don’t work either? Add along the depressing and dark ambiance on the inside, it was a nightmare. The only choice on the menu that looked like a decent option was the burger. My family and I got up and left so I can’t really make a review about the food.My family and I are not the type of people to get up and leave but we had no choice. We are now going to try somewhere else to celebrate my sisters birthday. It is unfortunate she picked out this place and is now upset that this place isn’t what we thought it would be. Hopefully it the next place we go to , will actually have whats on their menu actually in stock to sell! Crazy …. 0/10 experience
Absolutely Excellent all around.. Perfect service, food comes out hot, drinks are served not watered down. What more can you ask for....Owners actually care about customer experience and thats obviously a Great thing. So For real.... Not a single complaint about anything. Everything was perfect and on pointI will definitely come back here. Not even a thought otherwise.
A lot of outside seating available and heat lamps in between each seat.French onion soup was perfect for a cold day and the burger was good. The disco fries don’t have enough cheese or flavor to them so wouldn’t order those even though they sounded good on menu.A lot of hot drink options and a full bar so will make anything you want.Make sure and order the spiked hot chocolate.
Probably the worst value for the money meal Ive ever had. $24 for a hamburger and fries that were basically identical to McDonalds. I would have been somewhat ok paying that price if the burger was exceptional but basically 2 thin double patties, hence my McDonalds reference. Beers are just as ridiculously priced at $8 and $9. Recommend you spend your hard earned money at a place where you get some value.
Driven past this place for years and decided to check it out on July 3rd for dinner. Was happy to see there were several seats available and not too busy. After being seated we waited for approximately 25 min before my husband had to go back inside to find out why literally no one came over to the table to at least offer water or take our order. The table next to us was leaving and heard them saying how bad the service was and they wouldnt be back. While waiting for our food, the servers kept bringing out food that didnt belong to our table..smh.Finally got the order and while the cornbread was good, the steaks were overcooked and I could taste the salt laying on top of the steak. Also had to flag down abother waiter to bring us steak knives which shouldve came with the meal.I cant even imagine what this place is like when its at full capacity. Very disappointing and not at all the kind of service youd expect based on the pricing, and location of this restaurant.
It was ok. the food is not worth the price - we steered away from the cocktails since they were 16$ a piece and nothing from the ambience to service seemed to call for that price. portions were small and not the best value. nothing was bad, but nothing worth going back for. if everything was 25% less expensive it would have been a more positive experience.
The service is really bad but so is the food. It’s like an insanely expensive Applebee’s. Will I return? Yes. Watching the eight teenaged employees chatting at the end of the bar while completely ignoring the five patrons is fascinating. I think this place has been open for more than a year but it feels like they’re still in beta. Total chaos. It rules.Definitely go if you want to have a weird time.
I’m giving a 3 because the food was great but service…lol a 1. We went New Year’s Eve. The hostess didn’t acknowledge my hello for 2 mins but was more then happy to change a song for someone at the bar then turn back and still not look up and seat me. They had one waiter and one bus boy who did AMAZING considering the rest of the staff. they had probably 5 tables in and outdoors and had 0 support from anyone else. 3 bar tenders and no one could run drinks? Considering more people were at tables then at the bar. The hostess got a drink before we did LOL. the manager was kinda serving but mostly dancing around, talking to other staff and looking in the mirror. Over all would go back for the food, but staff needs to step up. Couldn’t imagine how they handled a busy brunch.
I came to have dinner here w a friend on Thursday night ,it was a warm night but we choose to sit outside ,they had a live Spanish band who were really good,I ordered Cobb salad w grilled chicken it was by far the best I’ve had and my friend had salmon, also delicious, service was excellent ambiance and decor was also excellent, owner came over and asked how things were ,we were more then pleased with our experience,it’s going to be one of our new places to dine and chill. Check this place out ,you will NOT be disappointed!!
I didnt get a good feel about this restaurant but, I stayed anyway. My husband and I didnt have a reservation. When asked if I needed one the young lady who seemed to be doing everything 🙄said I didnt need one. (My husband was parking the car). I asked if I can sit in the lounge area outside( which had grass and a luncheon kind of feel and she said I could sit along the side of the restaurant because everything in that area was taken. So I went and grabbed a seat 💺on the side. When my husband came he went in and asked well can we sit inside and she said yes. She never gave me that option. We sit inside and ordered. My husband had the pasta with sausage and meatballs. It was a small portion and it was cold 🥶. My husband had to send it back. I had the beyond burger 🍔. It was very good 👍. And I had waffle fries 🍟which I really enjoyed.
The set up is beautiful outside but the brunch food is so so. Frustrating customer service though. We had 4 different servers/waiters (other tables too!) and it’s very disorganized. They forgot our orders several times since we didnt have one designated waiter. Manager should organize the staff and make sure each table has a waiter and bus boy only. Not several staff.
Great concept, poor execution. Service is very much lacking. Food is (grossly) overpriced for the quality. No attention to detail. Seems to be a disconnect between management and service. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was especially poor. I had high hopes (because the beautiful decor was so enticing)..but this was my first and last time at this establishment..
I hosted a small event amongst my brother and the staff was absolutely amazing I want to thank everyone there from the manager Sayany for having us, the host Olivia, the bartender Mariah and the amazing and phenomenal YAYA for taking great care of all of us, the energy and vibes from everyone was amazing. first time visiting court street tavern and it will not be my last. the ambiance was so great the library room in the back was the perfect setting. and let not forget about the food OMG the oysters the bacon the Brussel sprouts the chicken sandwich the wings I cannot wait to go back thanks again for the wonderful experience YOU LADIES ROCK!!!!
My favorite cocktail bar in New York City, and I’ve been to quite a few. Court Street Tavern has unique charm with its ice rink , my kids had an fun eventful day here and I got. to enjoy drinks and a bite . The drink prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is classy, warm and unpretentious. The service has always been gracious and efficient , Amanda is great ! The indulgent food pairs perfectly with the classic cocktail. I spent a great Sunday afternoon here with the family , I highly recommend it ! I can’t wait to come back.
Not worth the price Tip not included - The cocktails starts at $16 piece water down quality measurement small appetizers no optional at $13 Main course meal starts at $18 get ready to spend money this place is expensive honestly the food quality isnt worth paying for its just overpriced, The owner should change the menu prices and have a suggestion box
We really enjoyed the food and experience. Beautiful spot, attentive server (Amanda), professional staff, and nice ambiance. We ate outdoors and the heaters kept off the chill. Give it a try, price is on par for the neighborhood and both food and drinks were excellent.
Food tastes great. Thats about it.Service is mehh.Everything is additional and quite expensive for what you get. Must be the area. Brought my mom for her birthday and she wasnt too thrilled which was a bummer. I had many options, chose this one and regretted it from the moment I saw the menu.Too bad. I dont write 1 star reviews but this one deserved it.
Drinks - 3 stars, beers are standard quality and standard price. The cocktails were off, got the mule with vodka, tastes like bitter lime juice and vodka.Food - 3 stars, portions on the small side. The quality of food is ok. We ordered the shrimp pasta, the shrimps were cheap quality and tasted off. Mash potatos were made from powder not real potatoes. Tasted ok. The chicken sandwich was good. The Brussels sprouts was good but on the greasy side.Ambiance - 5, great spot to hang on a nice warm sunny day with your dog and friend over a beer or drinks. Super chill, good vibe.I would recommend this spot for beer and hanging out, seems like the locals here were doing excatly that. You see folks hanging out reading a book or gaming and vibing. Food and cocktails were mediocre, best to find another spot for good food.
Huge place. Plenty of space inside and out. Burger from the brunch menu was good but not $21 good. Clean design to the place. Unfortunate they opened under the circumstances and the fall weather. Can imagine it having more of a busting atmosphere during the warmer seasons.
Wonderful experience at Court Street Tavern. Great ambiance, amazing food and kind staff. The waitress that assisted us, Jaylen, was the best! She was very patient and was extremely pleasant. She offered to help me and even charged my phone for me when it died during dinner. That kind of hospitality and kindness is unmatched. Will definitely return for another dinner date! Thank you Jaylen!!!
Came here for our first indoor dining experience for the first time in a year and boy, what a disappointment. Lesson learned. The food isn’t superb but that’s not why I’m giving it one star. I saw multiple employees walking around inside without a mask. One man - not waitstaff another employee? - continuously walked around indoors maskless and stood next to me at the bathroom sink washing his hands, mask free. When I mentioned it to our server as an FYI that one of their staff didn’t have a mask on he simply said it was their first day transitioning back. I get that there are hiccups transitioning and I commend everything restaurant employees are doing to make this possible. But dismissing the fact that people are walking around inside maskless is not OK. Don’t go here. Not worth the food and definitely not worth the risk.
Food is very overpriced. $21 for a burger 5 fries? Also they undercooked my daughters burger so most of it went to waste. The kids didn’t enjoy the fake ice in the “ice skating rink”. It was difficult for them to skate since it was plastic. This should be advertised on the website so that you don’t waste your time and money going down there.Save your money during these hard times. I spent $100 to sit in the cold, and my daughter didn’t even enjoy her time or the food.

2022-03-07The food & presentation of the food was amazing. Really tasty, delicious food & the atmosphere is welcoming too. The $40 DIY mimosas were soooo delish and perfect for 5 ppl! Our server was also very sweet & welcoming!Only downside—I reserved for 5 ppl plus stroller and when I got there, the hostess was trying to seat us at a table for 4. Kinda awkward when we came in but nonetheless it worked out. Definitely call to confirm seating arrangements because it could’ve been more comfortable for us!

2021-10-29Came in for dinner with a reservation, ordered the French Onion Soup and Ricotta Toast. As a main entree we had the Chicken Rollatini and the Rigatoni with Sunday Sauce. The place has a very fresh atmosphere, modern decoration. Giving a 3 stars because the server forgot about us after we received the entry and because the food was cold.

2021-09-07Great experience all around! The outdoor space is highly Instagram-able with the huge flora displays. The service was quick but not overbearing. The drinks were cold & tasty. The food was lovely— we had the fried artichoke hearts and the ricotta toast which were both awesome. Definitely want to go back to try more of the menu.

2022-06-10I had the opportunity to come back to Court st Tavern on Friday for dinner and I must say they were exceptional.Enrique the general manager took the time to greet us and take care of me and my sister. The food was great the service was amazing. The decor never disappoints. The outdoor seating is perfect for summer days/nights. The Margarita and sangria was made exactly how I wanted. I’ll definitely be coming back again.

2022-06-26Im here now having brunch with a group of 4. Lets keep it short. The drinks on the menu are terrible and honestly one note. First star. It took way too long for the food to arrive given how simple each item is. To make the situation worse 3 other tables received their food before our. We had to make two complaints to get our order. Second star. The food quality is extremely basic given the price. No one at the table was impressed with the portion size or quality. For example a waffle with a few cut pieces of fruit costs $16. It was OKAY. It would be helpful to have SOMETHING on the side or an extra waffle to justify the price. Third Star.

2021-10-22We walked in as they were closing, but it was the night before my daughters birthday and they sat us all down (we were a big group!) They served us all several shots & cocktails and made the night extra special.Since then we came back to celebrate another birthday, big table, lots of good service and nothing but pure hospitality.

2022-07-14Was looking for a place to eat kinda late in the night and their staff was so nice enough to keep the kitchen open for another 15 minutes for us. They even offered a bottle of seltzer on the house. Food was amazing. The menu is pretty limited but other than that everything was great.
