First of all, the staff was lovely and the room was a decent size. Be sure to ask about specific amenities, because the website description of rooms was about 75% accurate. The main problems were with the room itself. Fixtures were loose. The towel holder fell down in the bathroom. The hot water was awful and unpredictable. Ran hot for two minutes, got cold for ten minutes, then ran luke warm. This happened every time we turned the shower on. There is no business center, but there is one printer for printing plane tickets. The Bistro is a small station with limited options for morning eats. At least theres a small fitness room, pool, and hot tub. It was okay but expected more for the price and newly renovated facilities.
We had a great experience here. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Beds were super comfortable and rooms seemed to be soundproof, you could not hear through walls or anyone walking above you. Restaurant was not open due to Covid but plenty of to-go options in a small market in the lobby. They do charge $10 for parking, not sure why that is. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!
My family and I spent 4 nights (November 23-November 27) at Thanksgiving and paid a rate of $200/night at the Courtyard Long Island Macarthur Airport. We had the most terrible experience I have ever had in 40 years of staying in hotels. We have two small children who got crumbs on the floor and bed the first day of our stay, and when we requested a housekeeping call, we were told that NOONE was allowed to have housekeeping unless they were staying at least 5 nights. I was dumbfounded. I understand being understaffed and having to abide by COVID restrictions, but the hotel was nowhere at capacity (the parking lot was practically empty, and yet they charged us $10/night for parking), and being asked to pay close to $1,000 total for ZERO hospitality or service at a well-regarded hotel is just shameful. When I asked for a change of sheets and vacuum, they told me I could do it myself...as a guest in a hotel. When I asked both the front desk and the cleaning staff for new towels (again, there were four of us staying four nights at this property), I was basically scolded.I have never had an experience like this in my life; I have never been treated so poorly as a paying guest at a hotel. The entire experience was outrageous, and I would like some type of compensation/refund for the disastrous stay we had.I will never, ever stay in a Courtyard property again after this experience.
Overall the experience was very good. The rooms and amenities are nice. Food options in the hotel are extremely limited (coffee and a bagel), there are 2 nearby restaurants, but very little in the actual hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was easy to find and convenient.
This was our first experience with an accessible room. There was plenty of room for my husband to move around and access everything. The staff were wonderful from the moment we checked in until check out. I truly cant say enough kind words about our experience. Our first stay outside our home was much better then we could have hoped for, thank you.
The room seems clean, but the bathroom is so outdated. There no where to put anything in the bathroom. It doesn’t even have space for a toothbrush, let alone makeup or other bathroom necessities. The only view you have is the parking lot. Still not sure if people from outside can see me or not. The AC is loud. So unhappy with my room. The website is so misleading when you are booking. Not the room I thought I was booking.
The staff are the only redeeming quality of this hotel. $20/night for parking, a la carte $2/item convenience store breakfast, broken elevator, dirty cramped pool, broken hot tub.The mechanical crew couldnt fix our air conditioning in our room so we slept in a warm humid room.
I’ve used this hotel for business conferences and lodging for events. However most recently, I decided to use them for my wedding. We booked the largest room they had and some standard rooms for the wedding party and out of town family members. I was shocked when, given this, they charged us $10 a day for parking in their lot….not a huge deal but also pretty petty I think. They also refused to come up to the room for anything and told us we would have to help ourselves if we wanted any refreshments or to replenish towels, shampoo etc for the room. Finally, NY had officially reopened with zero restrictions….open your amenities already. I had to drive to a 7 eleven a few miles away the morning of my wedding and they told me to walk over to Smokey bones if I wanted to have a drink with my best man. I will say that the women at the counter that morning were very nice and helpful. They provided anything we needed which was a few things in a hurry.
Be prepared to pay for everything that most Marriott locations provide as a courtesy: Commodity coffee ($2.75 Large), incredibly ample parking ($10.00 a day), and rather unaccommodating staff. The parking lot, which borders a restaurant and two other hotels, and is huge, is a cost. The hotel coffee, which most Marriotts provide to guests as a courtesy, is a charge. Staff debated with us whether our reservation was indeed part of the block of wedding guests, which was plain to see on our printed reservations(!), and failed to acknowledge this fact. All this for $240 per night. Never again...
Clean and spacious room. Housekeeping was attentive to all my request. Front desk made security a number one priority (all visitors were announced and cleared by me). I would be remiss to forget to mention Andrea (director of sales). I wanted to block a couple of rooms for my wedding and she was so sweet and patient with me (even when I rescheduled my wedding a couple of times).
Upon check in a $10 charge for parking who cares just pay it Coffee in room subpar ,went down to lobby recieved a coffee luke warm ,which I paid for. I did not complain because it is not my way, but I feel like a fresh hot cup of coffee is not alot to expect. Just would not revisit this hotel and will hold out further judgement for later whether I will stay in Marriotts in the future.
The room was a little dumpy and there were hairs in the bathroom. The big slap in the face is being charged to park in their own lot that is not monitored and covered in signs that say the hotel is not responsible for the cars that they are charging you to park there. What am I paying for? Just a money grab.
The staff was pleasant, however the mattress was horrible. It was extremely soft and when laying in the middle of the bed, the mattress sunk in. They were kind enuf to transfer me from a king to a room with 2 queens. Those mattresses were only slightly better. Worst 3 nights of sleep.
My suite was horrible. The table in the room was warped and water damaged. There was rust in the tub. The air vent has so much dust it almost covered the entire vent openings. There was writing on the walls. No forks in the draw. Very disappointed. I love Marriott hotels. Just not this one. They should be ashamed that they even rented this room out. Especially that I hade reserved 13 rooms abs 11 were occupied.
The check-in gal was nice, gave no explanation of the property, WiFi, etc. Hot tub did not work, pool was cold, fridge was iced over, remote needed batteries, charged for parking, charged for coffee, no room attendant. Would love a refund for this awful stay and would not recommend.
I usually stay at this hotel and typically have a good experience. However, this last stay was a bit different. The air conditioning was not working in my room (I reported this to the front desk) on both nights of my stay which was uncomfortable for me. Also, the internet connection was extremely poor.
Had family come from out of state and wedding party guests stay. This was by far the most affordable block and the nicest hotel for the price range. Andrea was awesome and extended the price for the block for our family that came up a little early. Everything was absolutely perfect!
We booked in advance for two nights at the Long Island MacArthur Airport location. Midway through our stay the governor of NY declared a state of emergency forcing us to leave a day early or risk getting stuck in the storm. Despite these obvious extenuating circumstances and inclement weather the hotel would not permit us to cancel our second night. We were billed full price for both nights with zero compassion, understanding or offer of compensation. We will not stay here again.
The front desk staff was super friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and comfortable with a spacious bathroom and a mini fridge which I appreciated. What I didnt like was that fact that they charge $10. + Tax for parking...NOT indoor parking, NOT valet parking, NOT a secured parking area, in fact the make a point of saying they are not responsible for your vehicle or any contents. Just an ordinary parking lot. NEVER in my life have I ever paid to park at an ordinary outdoor parking lot for a hotel. Its only $10. but its the principle of the matter and for that reason I will never stay here again.
Didnt really have a good experience at the hotel. We arrived late on a Thursday night around 9 pm with two young kids in tow and I didnt get a warm welcome from the the lady at the front desk. No smile just a how may I help you. I thought this was the hospitality business and expected a better welcome than that. Also while checking in I asked her to confirm that we had the 2pm late checkout because we upgraded to the staycation rate beforehand. She says she doesnt see that in the system but I should request a late check out tomorrow and she thinks that they are more likely to accommodate. I insisted that I paid extra for that rate because of the 2pm checkout and that was a major reason I picked the hotel because it offered that rate. She then said oh shell put it in for me just this time as if shes doing me a favor.I found that comment annoying but didnt want to talk to her anymore because my daughter was falling asleep in my arms. As a Gold elite member I am a little surprised at the service at this Marriot.
The hotel was convenient for the airport, but the initial greeting was not very friendly. The fact that I had to call three times about the internet not working was the biggest bummer. It was clean, but not new by any means. The shampoo offered for 3 guests was not enough!
Lovely place. Only negative is they didn’t offer breakfast. There are hotels that are offering breakfast by now; hot breakfast. And hotels that don’t offer breakfast at least have a bag with a muffin and fruit and juice. I think for the price of this hotel they should offer something
When staying at this particular Marriott be very sure your reservation was put in correctly. Mine wasn’t and reservations said call the hotel directly and they would fix it (the one night I reserved for through them was incorrectly put in as the night before I would be there) and this particular manager said they would not change it and charged us anyway. And for the first time since using this hotel we were charged 10 parking fee! Never had that before. Rude staff at this Marriott. The refrigerator in my room was not cold either.
For the price was paid for a suite, this was embarrassing. The tub was absolutely filthy with tub ring I didn’t even bathe my daughter in it. The “bistro” was being run by someone who works the front desk and she said she didn’t even know how to make a coffee. Sheets were itchy, it was just gross
Upon checking in at the front desk the process took longer because staff seemed new and not fully trained. I had a trailer hitch cover stolen off the rear bumper of my vehicle in their parking lot (see attached photo). I observed small signs EVERYWHERE in their parking lot that says damage and theft to vehicles is not the hotels responsibility (see attached photo). The hotel has the nerve to charge $10 plus tax for parking but does not provide security, cameras or even valet service. I asked the hotel desk clerk about the signs and asked if they had problems with theft and she looked confused. I asked why so many signs are posted on the property about theft and damage to vehicles and she said she didnt know. There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON TO CHARGE GUESTS $10 FOR PARKING ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE WERE MANY OPEN PARKING SPACES AVAILABLE (see attached photo). I went off peak, not a holiday, after spring break on a thursday with many open parking spaces available. Never again will I stay at this hotel.
The Staff was incredibly helpful, friendly and attentive. The canteen by the front desk had a wide selection of snacks/drinks/apothecary tools to aid your hunger/thirst/ailments to your heart’s content! The food was just what we needed to fuel the day’s activities. Overall our experience was wonderful and pleasant. The only con was paying for parking, which we felt should be included being that we needed our car to get to the hotel, we shouldn’t have been charged to store our reasonably sized vessel of transportation to said hotel. The Smokey Bones bar/restaurant next door was very convenient for meeting up with other guests and they served some great comfort food and had a lot of room to accommodate many different sized groups. Minutes away from multiple attractions/historic sites/shops/restaurants. Also one of the friendliest staffed Marriots we’ve been too, cheers to their hard work and genuine smiles! We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family!
The hotel staff is warm and welcoming. The rooms in general are clean, comfortable, and updated. The bathroom leaves you wanting a new shower stall or at least a tub that looks and feels clean. Otherwise the bathroom itself was quite acceptable. The food at the café is good but the portion has been downsized and the quality of some of the breakfast items, such as bacon, has slipped. I would recommend a stay at this hotel where you will experience and overall good experience, however, I would like to see them review their maintenance procedures and rethink the tubs in the rooms.
Due to a canceled flight, I made reservation at the Courtyard Long Island MacArthur Airport. They do not offer shuttle to and from the airport, but have a shuttle bus sitting right outside of the front door. They have a coffee maker in the room but no tea. However, you can purchase coffee and tea in the lobby.Asked for a late check out, and they extended it 1 hour. Suggested that I wait in the lounge, which I did. Had a few hours to kill, so I decided to watch the French Open on TV. Very difficult to watch TV when the speaker for the music in playing above your head.Once again I looked at the shuttle bus as I waited for my Lyft to the airport.
I flew into the Long Island airport on a 10p flight and the hotel didnt have a shuttle to come and pick me up! Uber and Lyft had no drivers available and both local taxi services (Village Taxi and Colonial) told me on the phone that it was going to take at least 2 hours to come out to the Long Island airport to give me a ride to my hotel thats 10 minutes away. I ended up waiting 45-50 minutes for a driver on Lyft that was kind enough to give me a ride, but my unexpected visit at the airport made me rethinking my hotel plans. Next time I will fly into LaGuardia and stay at a hotel close to the airport there and then drive out to Long Island for work the next day. It would have saved me the headache and almost 1 hr of my life.
Room fixtures can be somewhat dated, but they are relatively large, clean and well-maintained. Public areas are more updated and staff is excellent.Update July 2019: Wedding and conference crowds can overwhelm this hotel and the staff are not always able to control the rowdier guests. Wedding guests were partying past 2am in the outdoor courtyard and some guests were clearly smoking in their rooms despite repeated complaints. The manager did apologize and try to credit us part of the stay, but that did not make up for a miserable night.
We used this hotel as the block for our wedding on 11/11/18. Everything was wonderful. The room was clean, the hotel was quiet (despite having 2 other wedding blocks that weekend!) and the team there was very responsive and easy to work with. Special shout out to Kerri who helped us plan for 2 years! My grandmother hosted a breakfast the morning after and the staff there was extremely generous and patient with my her, which was very appreciated! She was so happy with their service.
I stayed here on Nov. 29, 2014 and had a great experience. The staff was very nice and professional and the check-in process was quick and easy. The room and bathroom were a great size and very clean. I really appreciated the ability to choose certain extra features when making the reservation, like if you want a room on a lower floor and extra towels in the room. The bed was comfortable and the overall experience was really nice. Lastly, I like that the price was very fair and there were no hidden fees or charges (some hotels Ive stayed at in the past have done that to me before). I will definitely return in the future and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone interested.
Cleanliness and service is good, no problems there. Common areas are also pleasant and well-maintained. The rooms are comfortable but a bit too sparse. For example, there are not bedside tables on both sides of the bed, so a person on one side has nowhere to set their things. The bathroom is also very sparse, lacking things like a soap dish, enough racks to hang towels, etc.
Very nice accommodations overall, the staff was excellent and friendly. The hotel overall had a good clean feeling. Some minor attention to detail items were noted. For example the elevator control on one was duct taped in, and seems to be the long term solution... Really seems like some deferred maintenance required to give it the upscale Mariott vibe. I valued the staff and the cleanliness. Like most Courtyards had a very cool contemporary vibe.
Ive always loved this hotel and have recommended it to folks. Before my last stay in November 2018, I had not been here in more than a year as the prices got very expensive. I used to stay here all of the time. During this stay, I was not impressed with the room. Although the hotel itself looked clean and the personnel was professional and friendly, the room felt a bit grungy. It felt kinda old and did not smell fresh and clean. The tub had stains and the paint job was a terrible one. I guess I noticed all of this as it did not smell fresh and clean as has been my experience with Marriott Hotels, specifically this one. I felt the room was not cleaned thoroughly. It felt as if someone had just left and the bed was just made. This was room 602. This wont be my first choice going forward, unless this was a fluke.
Upon arrival, I found the place clean and the staff friendly. Considering the place was EMPTY due to COVID-19, I was surprised there was much noise near my room all night. Enough to significantly disturb my sleep. I mentioned it in the morning but nobody cared. I didnt ask for anything. I felt something should have been offered. A coffee at least... but nothing. Ill never stay here again. I am Platinum with Marriott.
Nice Courtyard hotel. Our room was a Queen double and the beds seemed on the small side for Queen but were comfortable. Facilities are good and the common space in the Lobby are is large and comfortable. Food is good as it is at other Courtyard hotels and uses the updated menu, though nothing is included. Enjoyed our stay, though as of July 1st they now charge $10/day for parking which is unusual for a hotel outside a downtown area.
1. I made my reservation via phone, I later found out they had the wrong last name and the wrong home town for my reservation.2. When I arrived at the hotel and checked in, the receptionist informed me that I will charged for parking my car. I have stayed at many hotels/motels and this was the first time I was charged a parking fee.3. When I entered my room, I noticed there was a water bottle on the bureau near the TV, there was a tag on the neck of the water bottle, $3.00 charge for water.4. The next morning I was expecting aa nice complimentary breakfast at this wonderful hotel; I spoke a representative at the front desk and he told me there was no such thing as a complimentary breakfast. For the price that is charge for this hotel, I will probably never ever stay at the Marriott brand.I have stayed at very nice hotels in Europe for nearly half the price that Marriott charges, and they offer a full European breakfast.I have stayed in the Best Western brand hotels and they offer an American style breakfast.
The beds are comfortable. It feels like a pretty nice hotel room. Theres no breakfast served here unfortunately unless you want to get something from the starbucks in the lobby. When we first arrived, a large crowd of people who were there for a wedding were nearly blocking the front entrance without being told to move, but the hotel itself probably couldnt do much about it. Overall, its a nice hotel.
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while on Long Island for my son’s wedding. The room was very nice and immaculately clean, which is very important to me. They didn’t furnish shower gel which I prefer to bar soap, but that was really the only thing lacking. We had breakfast from the breakfast bar both days, and it was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, a very lovely stay. Highly recommend.
Old Run down and uncomfortableThere was no breakfast, the tv was so old it didn’t offer any features and was small, very old run down hotel, bed and pillows were so uncomfortable, it was lumpy and soft, no amenities that were not old, old bathroom. Elevator was old as well and only 2 so you can wait more then 5 minutes to get one. Staff not accommodating at all especially for a platinum member. The front desk did not let me know that they would be renovating my floor until the morning of although I asked about my room. They had me come back to move to another room and then there was the renovating issues. The front desk was uninformed, not friendly, not helpful, and not available. They didn’t provide water or any amenities to an elite member.
The room was clean and spacious, the accommodations comfortable. The staff were friendly and the location convenient to my scheduled customer meetings. I would not have minded there being tea in the room as an alternative to the self-service coffee, and the options at the in-hotel restaurant were limited, but my stay has been satisfactory so far.
Our stay was an unusual one, we stayed for a little over 3 weeks, our hotel apartment, was spacious, and almost everything we needed (no streaming services, we brought out Apple TV + optimum WiFi)We had breakfast almost every day, it was somewhat varied. From Monday thru Thursday they had a light diner, which included wine or your choice of beer... but we also had the benefit of having a kitchen in our apartment to prepare our meals as well.House keeping was decent, but the house keeping ladies themselves were very courteous. We did laundry and we never had to share machines. The hotel featured a mini golf course, gym, but the pool wasn’t available just yet. Overall, the entire staff were great.Extremely satisfied!
Overall the hotel was very nice. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. Everything I would expect in a hotel! There was an unfortunate power outage timed exactly when we were taking wedding photos. This significantly affected the wedding day. The power outage was not the fault of the hotel, and they did express their apologies. However, it seems that some sort of compensation or token of apology would be appropriate. This was not received. Therefore, although the hotel was nice and well located, I feel that there could be improvements in how the management handles unfortunate events.
I am always greeted by a staff that is professional, welcoming, and informed. I often arrive early and Im never told that the room is not ready. The room is clean and welcoming and the food is excellent. Ive been staying there overnight on the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays for the last two years and Ive had a great experience. The hotel is convenient to all the locations I need to access and is easy to get to. Id recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a great place to stay whether its for personal or business reasons.
We checked in at 10pm coming from a long trip and they tell us that theres no hot water and there will be no hot water until the next afternoon. Then the lady at the front desk tells us that we can cancel our reservation and as a courtesy they wont charge us a cancellation fee. What were we supposed to do at 10pm at night? A courtesy phone call earlier in the day would have been nice. We decided to stay because we were tired and it was so late. Then shes trying to swipe my card for incidentals and she says its not going through when I know there was more than sufficient funds in the card so when I tell her to give me the card back so I can call the credit card company she says let me try again and then miraculously it worked. Little did I know she charged me twice. These ladies at the front desk were not professional and were not friendly. Not once did they smile or apologize for the inconvenience. They acted like I was interrupting their personal conversation. And then to top it off the next morning I ask about the restaurant they have on site to get breakfast and one of the 3 girls tells me, very rudely, to walk over there and ask. What ever happened to good customer service? We will never be staying at this hotel again. Hotels are a dime a dozen but customer service apparently isnt.
Room was clean and staff was friendly. I only gave 3 stars because our AC was broken — we had it set to 50 the length of our stay and the room was an uncomfortable 75 degrees. The rooms are setup with only windows that view the hallway, not the outside of the building so we couldn’t even open a window to cool off. The sink and the shower drains were clogged. There was also a leak in the ceiling in the hallway on the second floor. Bits of the ceiling were crumbling and falling off and went unattended to. Seems they have maintenance issues that have been going unaddressed. We let the front desk know about these issues when we checked out, but were not offered any type of discount. We will be staying elsewhere in the future
The facilities, rooms and staff are all wonderful. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. The staff are professional. The deal packages - inclusive of breakfast are confusing. The food is excellent and well presented but you are not allowed to order your preferences, but pick one item from the menu. I love breakfast so it mattered to me and may not to others but I thought I would review it.
Absolutely deplorable costumer service from the manager Susan and the director.. or assistant manager (although her business card doesn’t say that- so I guess they just decided that day that she was the assistant manager) can’t fathom a Marriott was run like this. Never again.
There is a parking fee. The television is old and not app-ready. The fridge is small and could not fit my lunch containers in it. Room service came into my room at 9:30 without so much as a knock when checkout is 10. Could have stayed somewhere better for the same amount of money.
Positive:The front desk staff was top notch. Very friendly and very helpful no matter what we needed or what we asked for. The hotel itself is beautiful and I really liked the fact that they had ample space on the first floor with TVs and areas to hang out at any time. I loved the cafe and Starbucks and options for food. I also loved the fact that there are 2 restaurants right next to the hotel, one of which is open until 2am. All of these things give insomniacs like me options.Less positive:I would post on your website that all of your pillows are DOWN since so many people, including myself, are allergic! I almost slept on it until I saw a feather fly out. I would have been hospitalized because Im that allergic. In hindsight I should have asked but Ive been to other Marriotts and they dont use down so I was surprised. The staff in the cafe was SLOOOOOWWWWW. I mean, paint drying on the wall slow. Very understaffed and no sense of urgency whatsoever. Granted, there were apparently 2 weddings in the hotel and lots of people. So if the hotel knows this, bring in extra people to cover breakfast! I waited in line 20 minutes for a coffee and a banana. The second day I went elsewhere because I was there on business and had to get in and out quickly. They were very nice but a hotel cafe needs to perform faster because people are not in a hotel to hang out in the hotel. Theyre there to get in and out quickly and go to their destinations.I was happy that they had a pool and hottub but it was indoors and very small and filled with screaming, running children and oblivious parents. Not your fault but someone really needed to be policing that place. I stayed 10 minutes and had to leave. Also the elevator is one of the slowest Ive ever been on. And again, the hotel was really busy so a few times it literally took 5 minutes for it to get to the 5th floor. I took the stairs more than half the time I was there. They need more or faster elevators.Overall I liked the hotel but would choose somewhere different on a busy summer weekend with an outdoor pool and better elevators and cafe. In the winter or for business on a weekday, perfect.
Dark rooms,no lounge or restaurants pool hours limited eventually closed due to sewage leak from floor above for days. No coffee or simple bagels or danishes to go. courtesy van closed down. Not clean. No sanitizers by elevators same cigarette wrappers and bud light caps for hours in elevators. The one hand sanitizer dispenser was out of service for at least 12 hours even after being told it was empty. Web site showed packs of wipes in every room and updated cleaning not done.A dump.
My mom and I stayed in room 616, which is a 1 bedroom suite with 2 queen beds. We booked this room because we were travelling with my 9 month old and needed a kitchen with a microwave to sterilize his bottles and heat up his jars of food. The room is not up to Marriott standards. The kitchen was very outdated and, initially, the microwave did not work. The bathroom was not as clean as it could have been - there was hair on the floor and we could not get the tub to hold water. We complained to the front desk about the microwave and they were very helpful. They sent someone to swap it, but we were able to get it working before they arrived, so we declined the swap. They also offered to move us, but my baby was already sleeping, so, unfortunately it wasnt an option for us (if he wasnt sleeping, we would have moved). We also mentioned the condition of the room at check-out and the manager gave us a credit on the total cost of the room. Overall, the customer service was very good as they did try to resolve the issues, but I dont know if I would stay in this particular Courtyard again. At the very least, I would not book this type of room again.
We had multiple issues during our stay in the largest suite and were not offered any type of reimbursement or apology. The room had several maintenance issues including noisy/inefficient air conditioning, no hot water (they fixed this issue in a timely manner but one of us still had to take a cold shower), smelly carpet (awful foot odor), doors not working properly (hard/loud to pull shut and a security issue for the front door) and the pull out sofa bed is a complete joke. This room is supposed to accommodate 6 adult guests...NO WAY could 2 adults sleep on the sofa bed - its right down to the metal bars with the touch of a hand and completely sunken in the middle. Luckily we had 3 kids with us who begrudgingly agreed to sleep in unideal conditions. The pool was closed for almost 2 days (of course it was raining outside and our kids were stuck inside with no pool). We were told free breakfast at check-in and found that not only was that NOT the case, but the Starbucks was somehow only open ONCE for us to grab coffee. We were told the front desk staff could make us a drink the first time we found it closed and we obviously declined and never bothered after that. The outlets next to the bed were so loose our chargers kept falling out (no USB plugs available). We were completely surprised at check-in with a $10/day fee to park our car in a poorly lit parking lot. We extremely overpaid for a 1 star experience and I will never stay at this location again (we stayed 5 years ago and it was fine but the hotel has taken a complete nose dive).
Stay out of the general mangers way when shes on the rag. She will find an excuse to kick you out of the hotel. Also make sure when you extend do it early before youre accused of damaging the room This is a bogus underline business thats trying to get up to 5 stars but looking in the wrong areas. I fully recommend the Homewood Suites next door. Bigger microwave and fridge and a kitchenette. They actually make you Feel welcome to stay there and not as if they dont want you staying there . This day still have not seen one charge. They are manipulative
I love Marriotts because they always have GREAT bedding and showers. The staff at this location were all very kind and courteous, and the property was clean and well-maintained both inside and out. There were only two downsides for me. First, the water in the room never got really hot--it was warm, but the shower was eh. Second, the ONLY option for breakfast at the hotel was the Starbucks counter in the lobby, and on Friday morning between 8 and 9, there was only one person operating even as the line grew to more than 8 people. Otherwise, I was really pleased with my stay. I wouldnt say not to go; I would just say to go prepared.
My travel was on business, in one night, out the next. This hotel has been recently upgraded, with nice lobby and eating area, plus a much improved gym to be spacious, with plenty of equipment and room to move. Room was quite, clean and comfortable with a great bed. I would stay here again for sure.Proximity to restaurants within walking distance was convenient.
The staff was incredibly thoughtful when my head was not focused. My stay was planned very last minute to attend a funeral. The staff there were on top of every detail, first making sure that I had a good dinner, then even making sure that my transportation to the church in the morning was scheduled that night so I wouldnt have anything else to worry about besides a good nights sleep.
I love staying at this hotel when I come to see my grandchildren. They love when I stay here because they can go in the hot tub & the pool LOL! This time I had to get the room with the 2 queen beds & full kitchen - worked out perfectly with the kids (get their own snacks & drinks, etc.) & for me to cook meals instead of having to eat out every day. Nice to have room for them & a living room for me to unwind after they went to bed. Every necessary item was in the kitchen. Worked out just great!Always clean, welcoming - staff is outstanding. I will be staying again in 5 weeks (with the grandchildren for an overnight) & both the kids & I are looking forward to it.
We had an after wedding brunch. They charged us 22% gratuity that did not go to the staff. I am disgusted with this and feel it was a hidden extra fee that we were told were going to the staff as a tip. When the staff was questioned by us we found out this was not true. The general manager as well as the head of banquets swore to us that most of the fee would go to the staff. This was a lie. I am calling corporate for an explanation. We are disgusted
The check in was painless, though the front desk seemed always understaffed, which was a bit irritating but not enough for me to drop a full star. The room was clean and comfortable, and very quiet even though it faced the highway. Didnt get to try any of the dining options or other hotel amenities.
The hotel was very nice looking. We had the suite and there was a full kitchen. We had a wedding nearby and blocked rooms at this hotel and had multiple problems. The shuttles did not pull into venue and some of our guests missed their rides. A few people had their doors knocked on in the middle of the night and an employee just walked in uninvited to check the water. We also had a guest that asked to pay with cash and was assured her card would not be charged but was charged.
I was pleased with the size of my suite and the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. Just wish the internet speed was acceptable. I expect free Wi-Fi connectivity to be a bit slower than normal but this was simply non-existent. I love the shuttle service, they were very responsive to my request to be taken to the LIRR station and they say do the same for the airport too. We stayed here after a vineyards tour out east.
We had to move out of our home for a week while work was getting done. Rooms were clean people were friendly and it was quiet. We needed two rooms one handicapped and asked and got the adjoining room. Handicap room no place to put toiletries but room clean and maid was nice and pleasant every day.
Patty was exceptional. We came in for a funeral and she ensured my room was ready and not only that she went above and beyond in writing a kind note and included a care package in the room. The package wasnt anything big, but it made a big difference in our stay. It was thoughtful and well received, something she didnt have to do but did. She is amazing. Thank you, in time of sadness you did something heartfelt. I wish you all the best Patty. She is worth keeping around in your hotel chain.
The staff is awesome. The Hotel is in a great location. The rooms are always clean. I have two issues I would like to see improved. TV channels need to have more options. YES and MSG would be great additional channels. When staying in rooms that are on the end of the hotel building (rm 531) the strength of the Wi Fi is weak.
The parking lot is really big so you dont have to worry about running out of space for your car. The lobby was big to have 2 huge spots for people to sit and talk or to sit and relax. The staff at the desk was very awesome and was always to introduce themselves when you walked in the door. There was a Starbucks, bar and restaurant in the lobby as well. They were open from 7-10 and then 5-11. The food there was outstanding. I would recommend the burger or pizza and the fries there too. The rooms was huge. My sister and I stayed in a room with 2 queen size beds and we could easily fit 5 people in the room comfortably. The beds were so relaxing to sleep in and the bathroom was big and always clean. The staff was so amazing there, I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and co workers to go there for pleasure or business.
This hotel and its wonderful staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. I was there an entire month and it fast became my second home. I would go back in a heart beat. I have severe allergies and they helped in every way they could. All staff members were kind , joyful and helpful... Truly a home away from home. I think of my stay there often with fond memories. Oh and free airport shuttle service :)
I enjoyed my stay! However I dont mind paying for some food and beverage, but I think there could be some type of complimentary breakfast for the price that is being paid a night at this hotel. The service was great but not for the amount I spent for two nights. I hope this helps, and I would so much more be will at a 10 to stay at a Marriott.
I stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend on 2/14/15 for one night. The staff was extremely friendly and the rooms were great. They were super clean and up to date. We had absolutely no problems with our stay. The staff treated us like we were frequent quests, although it was our first time at that hotel. We will definitely be going back and recommending the hotel to our friends and family.
Fantastic. This place was super clean and did not smell. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I even got a free shuttle ride to the airport. Has a pool but no life guard half the time. Has a bar and restaurant in hotel. Buying anything like drinks and toothbrushes cost 2x store price so get everything before you go. I was traveling so I had no vehicle. The room had wifi and ethernet, Lg tv pictures on the wall, microwave and mini fridge. I got lost looking for ice but a great experience. I will be returning.
My husband was on his journey for his new job 750 miles from our home. We have been married for 20 years and have never been apart as long as we will for the next 5 months. He was tired and missing his family. I called direct to the hotel and the hotel staff was amazing. They not only upgraded his room, they said some funny stuff to him that I asked them to say. Everyone got a good laugh and the Hersey bar you gave him was a huge hit! Thank you Brittany and Kaitlyn, you were awesome!
The hotel itself is very dated, and wasnt all that clean. The staff came off as rude. They had very secretive and shady policy of charging for parking. The girl at check in said that they intentionally put the parking fee very small at the very bottom of the page because not everyone drives when I pressed her on the issue some other woman came out from the back, I assumed she was a manager, and interjected into my conversation to say what do you want from us were stuck here working on a Saturday nightNot the quality of property or service I expect from Marriott, I wont be staying again.
This is my favorite place to stay when I am in Ronkonkoma. Staff is really friendly and helpful. They have a restaurant on site that serves breakfast and dinner only. Rooms are very nice and well kept. Smokey Bones a really good Bar-B-Que joint is just in the parking lot along with Red Lobster.
I had a great customer service experience. Despite the fact that our large wedding group was fairly obnoxious, the staff was understanding of most of us locking ourselves out of our rooms, and we specifically had an issue with a drunk guest passed out in our locked room that was resolved without much problem. The gym was a little lacking, but I wasnt expecting much.
Overall a decent place, unfortunately the local staff and Bonvoy werent on the same page. Tub had rounded sides and was very slippery. Carpet had stains. We had two rooms, one had very well functioning ac, the other not so much at all. One of the rooms had a strong perfume odor..... maybe to cover up the smell from the stains???
We booked a two night stay for our daughters 12th birthday. We wanted to relax and swim. Overall, the experience was great....but the second day of our stay the pool was freezing (the first night it was perfect); the second day the hot tub was too chlorinated (the first night it was perfect). Wish it could have stayed perfect for us to enjoy the second day of our stay, which was why we had booked a second day---with check in at 3:00, and check out at 12:00, we wanted a whole day to enjoy the pool/hot tub. So we were a bit disappointed. The only up side, is that the food at the bistro was really good; and the beds were really comfy!
The staff here are super friendly. Im currently staying on the quiet side of the 6th floor. When I arrived in the late evening, I did hear some airport noise, but nothing that bothered me. The hallway smelled of pot even though the hotel is clearly marked as a smoke free hotel. The pool and exercise facilities were very top notch. The gym is not a large room (approximately 20 x 45 room).I came here for business and I would stay here again.
On a recent visit it was horrible. First the AC did not work and when desk was notified they said are you sure. They never sent anyone up after several calls. They put us on the side of the building where major construction was going on. Banging began early in the morning. To top off our stay they turned off our water not once but twice on the day that we were getting ready for our special event. They refunded a half a day and did not even give us enough rewards for a free night. The staff were rude and Customer Service did not exceed the staff. Very disappointed with our stay. We have stayed in Marriotts often but now will reconsider.
We checked in at 10pm coming from a long trip and they tell us that there’s no hot water and there will be no hot water until the next afternoon. Then the lady at the front desk tells us that we can cancel our reservation and as a courtesy they won’t charge us a cancellation fee. What were we supposed to do at 10pm at night? A courtesy phone call earlier in the day would have been nice. We decided to stay because we were tired and it was so late. Then she’s trying to swipe my card for incidentals and she says it’s not going through when I know there was more than sufficient funds in the card so when I tell her to give me the card back so I can call the credit card company she says let me try again and then miraculously it worked. Hotels are a dime a dozen but customer service apparently isn’t.
Overall for the price and where they were located, and what was close by to do activity wise, it was a great day! My Grandkids went bowling, ate a good dinner and then went swimming in the pool for over 5 hours. They met some new friends and had a great time. This has been at least the third time we have stayed at this Hotel.
The staff at this Marriott has always been terrific. Ive stayed here many times. I think management has changed because Id come down for breakfast and there was only one poor gal serving everyone and at night the cook had quit. I hope they get their feet back on the ground because it is such a convenient location.
Area was kind of out of the way, but great for Airport Traffic....There appears to be lot of construction going on, suggesting outside gardens or eateries.... at this time not much to do...We did have a fire alarm, go off ....Building was emptied, under staffed, was inefficient for the alarm.little or no direction, folks standing outside in heat... and this went on for hours.... At least a bottle of water would have been nice . No one to be seen except for a single person at front desk..We should have offered some sort of compensation for the stay....
I cannot recommend the Courtyard Long Island MacArthur Airport more highly! Comfortable beds. Our suite had a full kitchen, table, and an amazing jacuzzi tub. It will be our go to on Long Island from now on! Great service from check in to check out. Friendly staff! Amazing SNA upgrade and recognition of Titanium Elite status. Close to both highway and airport with no noise and close to everything that Long Island has to offer from beaches to adorable towns like Port Jeff. A+! Thank you we will be back!
I reserved a room a few days in advance. I was given the option of 2 queens br, 1 king br, 2 queens br with whirlpool tub or 1 king br with whirlpool tub. I picked 1 king br room. I checked in but when I arrived to my room, it was 2 queen size beds. I called the front desk and they explained that I was involuntarily switched to a room with 2 queen beds. I requested to be switched to a room with a King but the hotel was sold out. I wish I was told before I checked in that I was switched to a room with 2 queens. I might have considered upgrading the room to a King with whirlpool tub or getting a room somewhere else. Also when I checked in, I was told that I would have to pay for breakfast in the morning. I am not sure that was true or not so I didnt bother going downstairs, I decided to get breakfast elsewhere. I woke up to maids entering other people rooms to see if they checked out yet but people were still in the rooms.Overall, I have stayed in numerous other hotels and this experience will be placed at the bottom of the list. I am not eager to stay at another Courtyard or Marriott hotel. I will consider staying at another hotel next time I am in the area which will be very soon.
The front desk staff were so helpful during my stay. They were able to give us adjoining rooms. Brian at the front desk helped me during check in by taking my bags to my room while I retrieved my sleeping granddaughter and then escorted me to my room as I was carrying her and couldn’t use my key card. Such a nice guy
The property is conveniently located on the eastbound side of the Long Island Expressway between exits 60 and 61. It’s a short hop to both Mac Arthur Airport and to the Long Island Railroad station. In-house amenites are good, & the staff was wonderful. 2 chain restaurants are located across from the property. With that activity and ongoing construction next door (another Marriott property?), it can be somewhat noisy outside-both daytime and nighttime. The noises made by patrons entering and leaving the restaurants managed to filter into my room at night. Overall, this property is fine and convenient; however, hearing outside noise is not what I’ve come to expect whenever I stay at a Courtyard. Be assured that I will stay at this property again with the hope of seeing progress during future visits.
We spent a night at this location. The check in process could be done online which made it easier upon arrival. They had available rooms for early check in and were open to free late check out. The hotel was clean and well taken care of. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable and the service was great.
Stay was good. Did not have any issues. I stayed at this hotel for about 3 weeks and room was kept clean and maintained. Staff was friendly as well. Tons of parking but beware, some parking is for the restaurant only. But if you go the other side of the hotel, there are tons of parking.
Booked this hotel last minute because a friend came to town and we decided to get together. It was the perfect location, very clean and provided us with all the amenities needed for a short stay. The staff was extremely friendly and very willing to help us, answering all our questions. I would definitely stay here again.
We took a quick trip for a old neighborhood buddy reunion, didnt spend much time in the hotel, we did not use any of the facilities, but we did look around and from the front desk staff, to the food/beverage center as well as the bar/restaurant, it was all very clean and more then sufficient, Our room was larger then expected with a king size bed, the bathroom amenities also in good shape. Red lobster and wings bar was right next door and opened late. Would definitely return.
We checked in as a small group for the night before our wedding. The staff from the moment we checked in was courteous and friendly. They were helpful in all of our needs. Everything was excellent. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place to stay
The hotel was clean. The room was nice and the bed was so comfortable. The fold away couch was small and uncomfortable so if you need an extra bed go with two queens rather than the king with pull out sofa. My teenage children complained to me about too much clorine in the pool.
A great place to stay! I have just one criticism and it is minimal. The grab bar in the shower is painted steel and is starting to rust, and looks bad considering it is painted white. I would suggest replacement with a stainless steel version. The traffic noise from the Long Island Expressway wasn’t bad considered its proximity. Being there on a Friday overnight was fine, and was not impacted by the construction of the new hotel next door. The fact that the Red Lobster and Smokey Bones restaurants are right across the parking lot is a big plus! I highly recommend this property.
The rooms were nice and the WiFi was fast, but thats about it. There is no kitchen at this location, so no room service. No breakfast available, complimentary or otherwise. The elevators operate at a snails pace. I walked up to my room on the 6th floor faster than my girlfriend who rode the elevator. No evening turndown service and lastly, entertainment on the TV was basic. I think you get more channels with the digital rabbit ears.
We Booked 2 rooms for my daughters 16th birthday she had 6 girls in the best suite I must say I usually have some sort of a complaint but not at this hotel everything was wonderful. The staff was super nice and helpful and the hotel was immaculate. All the girls had a fabulous time. I cant say enough good things about the hotel and out stay!!
The hotel is conveniently located near the end of the rail road and air port. The rooms are of good size and the beds are very comfortable. It is about 10 minutes from town though so it wont be a good walking hotel. The staff was pleasant and the downstairs entertainment area is very spacious. The rooms are dated slightly. It is an average hotel nothing special but I have no complaints.
We made a reservation at the Courtyard off of the Long Island Expressway in Ronkonkoma, NY. It was in a central location for us as we traveled to see family. The room was clean, and in very good condition. The grounds of the hotel were well taken care of, but the surrounding area beyond the hotel was awful. There was a construction site that looked like it had been there for years. We were disappointed with the view outside of our window. The hotel was clean, and other amenities were in excellent condition. You do not get a free breakfast at this location. We were expecting to get the service you get from other Marriott hotels, but this one has a limited restaurant. Overall, a good stay.
I have stayed here with my husband several times here we call it our hotel. This time we had a room on the top floor for the first time. The water was never hot. I didnt feel well and was shocked to find that you can only get coffee at certain times no food without having to leave the hotel. We became afraid to leave the hotel for fear of trying to find a parking spot which took at least 20 to 30 min and ended up moving orange cones to finally park as the pizza we had to go out to get since we couldnt order food was getting cold and I was very sick and the parking lot was a sheet of ice you couldnt walk to or from the car. But the best was the never ending work being done in the parking lot which began very early and lasted all day dropping huge metal things the beeping of the trucks backing up. I dont know why we called this our hotel. every time I have been here we have power outages or some crazy thing happen.. But this time I have learned time to move on and stop giving the Marriott chances to improve. Good Bye to you
Very clean modern hotel. The staff was friendly. The room was a nice size, with a lot of amenities. There is an indoor swimming and a whirlpool, nice to relax in. There is plenty of free parking. And best of all....FREE WIFI. Prices are reasonable. Ask for the specials. We had a good time. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby.
I only had drinks at the bar, so I cant speak to the overnight experience. That said, the bar was well stocked and staffed. We came back here after a wedding with a large and roudy group, but they were able to handle us just fine. There was even some non alcoholic beer choices for the pregnant or otherwise nondrinkers in the group who still wanted to enjoy a cold brew.
They charge you daily for parking, $10. Its not even underground garage. Ridiculous. and trust me, go to a Hilton brand hotel and they will have better treatment for you. Not to mention no free breakfast. And the rooms look like 1995. We are in 2020, the rooms are pathetic.
We loved the suite which was perfect for our family in lieu of getting two rooms close together. Baby and older brother were able to sleep uninterrupted and the kitchen was perfect for keeping milk cold and washing bottles, etc. Loved that they had bowls and utensils stocked!! Exceeded our expectations!
Should have been a nice getaway for my kids. The sole reason we were there was for kids to swim in pool. Kids were so excited but disappointed to find the water in the pool cloudy, gray, and with residue on surface. We were told it was safe to swim. Apparentlt, 30 girls swam in it that afternoon and it hadnt recovered. It was disgusting. Manager unable to compensate and we left. The whole experience left us as Marriott Elite and Vacation Club members severely disappointed and feeling extremely undervalued as loyal customers.
No free breakfast, no vent fan in the bathroom, no USB ports, no free Wi-Fi until you join the rewards program. The TV sucked, as well as the cable package. Less expensive places have some, if not all, of these. The employees were very friendly and helpful, however. I had never stayed in a Courtyard by Marriott before, and I will try to never stay with them again.
The fitness center is small, In fact two out of my three mornings there , the room was overcrowded and I didnt even go in. They only offer Starbucks coffee which is great if you you dont mind shelling out for it however; I am not a fan of Starbucks. The room was quite clean as was the pool area and the fitness center. I have stayed there on more than one occasion and will do so again with the understanding it is a clean place to sleep and shower.
We came as a group for a wedding and had a great time. The staff was friendly and very helpful with any questions we had. I would definitely recommend it to my family and friends. We attended a brunch at the hotel and surprisingly enough the food was great. We all had a great time and are so happy we celebrated our dear friends wedding!
Stayed in 2 room suite 3 nights. Manager was excellent and addressed all concerns, complete satisfaction , to best of his ability. However, checked several rooms..they smelled musty, like wet carpet. Dirty ac vents, drain clog in kitchen. Full kitchen more like kitchenette..small fridge and dishwasher. Cups and plates missing. Dishwasher racks broken. Im paying 350 a night with fees. Cmon, step it up. Other courtyards better in kitchen and cleanliness area..2 exits away on LIE and has breakfast. The outdoor seating and fire pit was a hit. But clean or change the seat cushions and clean the area more often. Oh, you stay in a suite or room for 3 nights and you cant consume your own alcahol or food outside your room ??? Stupid...Bartender , loose term as its a coffee bar by day and a few motel type bar options in the evening,, says no outside beverages or food in the outdoor area, duh....You have a BBQ grill out there !!! UghSecurity guy was good as well. Doing his job as far as the outdoor patio consumption concerned. Female counter tender that served drinks was on a power trip or management trying to squeeze guests into spending money at a cafe that doubles as a bar...No problem, offer a better product and I wont need to bring my own..Peace outFinally..not sorry if you think I slammed your biz but its my opinion and is what it is..I do stay pretty much only marriot tho.
We love to stay at this location. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and welcoming. The only issues we had during this stay was that the hot water wouldnt get hot. The power did go out on Sunday morning for about an hour, but it wasnt due to anything with the hotel. We will definitely stay at the hotel again.
When I checked in the front desk person assured me that if I party or smoke in the room my credit card will be charged $250. I felt like she was judging me because I was not.dressed all posh like everyone else.I had to be up at 4am. My guest and I did not get any sleep what so ever. Between the parties going on in the rooms, the door slamming, drunk people arguing in the hallways, the bed being uncomfortable it was just impossible. The pool and fitness center are small and get crowded easily. If you dont like to be around people like myself I suggest to go early or dont go at all.
Overall is was great, the only complaint about the trip was the fridge in the rooms is too small, we have stayed here before and had booked the largest room and it has a whole mini Kitchen in it complete with large refrigerator. We werent looking for that this trip but we didnt expect the fridge to be that small, we couldnt even fit our leftovers from dinner in it.
We had booked a couple of days ahead of time, one room for my grandparents and my husband and I, as a pitstop after our flight landed at midnight. We were told there wouldnt be a problem that it was after midnight, but when we got there in the computer we were booked for the next day. We had already had a rough night, as the airline forgot our luggage and we had nothing. We were exhausted and worried we would have to get a taxi and find another hotel. The hotel was absolutely packed - there was an entire wedding party and guests! But, the staff was AMAZING. especially Christine. She found us a room, while we waited got us coffee and made sure we were comfortable, and then gave us vouchers for breakfast in the morning. On top of that, when we woke up, there was a bag from the bistro on the door with snacks and water for the four hour car ride she know we had ahead of us. I cannot say how much we appreciate her help and kindness. My grandparents are in their 80s and travel is difficult. We are also on a trip to see a dying family member - so we were all having a hard time as it was. To have an employee and a business go out of their way to treat us with respect and go above and beyond was so heartwarming and what we needed during this hard time. My husband and I love Marriot, but I would say this was the best one and the best experience Ive had. Thank you so much.
Booked room for a wedding close by.From check in to check out and the breakfast staff in between where great always smiling like they actually liked there jobs. There was a security gaurd at night just in case you where wondering.Hotel was extremely clean and for once I have not one complaint..
Room clean, bed comfortable, bartender Sandra very personable and professional. We were advised at check in that breakfast was included. That inclusion was even noted in writing on a welcome sign for those attending a specific wedding event. Still, breakfast was not included and cost $26+ for two cups of coffee and two breakfast sandwiches.
I would not stay at this hotel again. While the room amenities were ok, the room temp was not. The room did not get nearly cool enough and took too long to get comfortable. The second night, the air seemed to stop working during the night and I woke to a room that was in the high 70s - very uncomfortable.
Everything was very satisfactory, the only exception being you have to pay for coffee. They only offer Starbucks in the lobby. Other than that, no complaints. The beds were extremely comfortable, the best sleep I have ever had in a hotel. I take that over coffee any day :)
1. The gym equipment was rattling with noise when peddling the bike. Could have used a 2nd bike in the gym for couple exercising. 2. The eatery was limited on breakfast foods to order and was a little bit pricey. I paid $8.95 for bowl oatmeal and juice.3. We received a note under our door night before about the hotel turning off water between 11:30am - 3:30pm. The next morning went to take shower at 11am, freezing cold water. Called front desk, was told the workers started shutting down switches in certain areas earlier. This was not pleasant at all! 4. Lighting was poor in the room even with several lamps, need to use brighter LED lighting.5. The shower (handicapped) had no shelf to put soap or shampoo products, had to use the floor. We were put in this room as there were no other rooms available at the time (reservations were made in advance). We are a flight crew for a corporate aircraft. We will more than likely not use this particular hotel in Islip again (we fly to Islip frequently).
If I could, I would give this hotel an OUTSTANDING. I booked the day before arrival and got the best rate of all the nearby hotel chains. The room was absolutely beautiful, sparkling clean and I loved the way the refrigerator/coffee maker was in an alcove. Front desk personnel were cheerful and efficient.
This is my second stay at this Courtyard, and we chose it the second time over a cheaper option because we knew it was a great property with good amenities and very good staff. Once again, we were very glad with our choice. The staff is so courteous and helpful (the cleaning staff literally go out of their way to give you a smile and a greeting, for example). No question, we will stay here again if were in the area without giving it a second thought.
The room was large, clean and comfortable. The pool and whirlpool are well kept. The hotel is within walking distance of the train station if you dont mind the lack of sidewalks. My only complaint was the hours of the Starbucks in the lobby. It is prominently place, located as the first thing you see but the hours are horribly ridiculous. Who opens a Starbucks at 5pm?
I stayed at the Marriott Courtyard at McArthur Airport on both Thanksgiving and Christmas while visiting family. I was pleasantly surprised at the excellent service, the clean and updated rooms, and the available food service in the hotel. The lobby was surprisingly modern and welcoming, and the staff pleasant and professional. There was amble room for handicap parking as well as regular parking. I will certainly be staying there again in the future and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting in the area.
Our stay with family was a great experience. We are relocating and tested out the commute for my husbands job (train to nyc is 2 blocks away) and checked out the local community. The experience at Courtyard Mariot gave us the opportunity to be relaxed and enjoy some downtime at night for dinner, swimming, and a great breakfast in the am to start our day right!
Overall hotel was fair priced, clean, staff friendly and breakfast food was good. Did not eat dinners there. two restaurants next door to hotel. Location good to airport. Problem is they charge you $10 per day to park at hotel and they are not responsible for your vehicle which is absurd. Other hotels in area have free parking.
Upon check in the bathroom had dirty hairy used soap in it and towels on the floor from the previous guest. I called the front desk and it was taken care of but still that’s gross and for a small room it shouldn’t have been missed. Makes me think if the linen is changed too
Good location, close to both sides of Long Island. They accidentally charged us for parking although our booking confirmation stated they had complimentary onsite parking. I pointed it out to the management after our stay and she happily refunded us. We would stay here again in the future.
The only negative we had was the wi-fi, we couldnt sign in, it was very slow. My husband and I didnt even care, everything else made up for it. This hotel is very clean, the staff is friendly, I love the Starbucks which is located in the lobby. I would stay here again and again.

2022-05-31Fantastic Hotel and service. Rooms were big and clean. Front desk staff was warm and welcoming. Large lobby with a Starbucks. We traveled with three couples so we always had a place we could meet after running to our rooms before the next outing. I would highly recommend a stay here.

2022-04-01This place was clean and quiet, the beds were comfortable and the towels were normal size (lol). The rooms were not brand new but the beds were very comfortable and the TV was a 55 in (I have stayed at a few lately with itty bitty TVs and terrible cable service). Everyone who works there that I spoke with was extremely professional and friendly.I would say the only part that was weird was the way they had breakfast for sale items set up in the pantry. To that same note, the pantry area was stocked extremely well compared to many other Marriott courtyards that I have stayed at recently. I will definitely stay here again.

2022-05-08Here we are in New York my husband Parwinder Singh Kang and myself A’JeeA’JeeKaurSinghQueen Kapur A’JeeKaurSingh-Kang spent one night at the Holiday Inn Express because they were booked with no rooms available. So, then in a haste I booked the wrong place spending a ($1,000) one-thousand at the Marriott Residence Inn. I couldn’t take another night so I was ecstatic when I went to the Courtyard Marriott. The Manager, Day Evening, and Night Staff were Phenomenal.I booked my usual a KING size SUITE with a Whirlpool. We ordered from the Indian restaurant Curry which we enjoyed because I wasn’t going to cook. Here I’m spending near $2,000 two-thousand I requested for room service. Shockingly I couldn’t believe the housekeeping especially giving them a tip prior to stepping out. I sent a response to staff onboard and yes they were apologetic but nothing was done.Thank you for sending housekeeping services. Perhaps, the hotel is low on dish washing detergent for the dishwasher. As I dont wash dishes by hand nor put liquid detergent in a dishwasher. However, I do rinse the debris and scrape the food out before placing it in the dishwasher. I didn’t bother to inquire or disturb the hotel cleaners when I had first told them the soap dispenser and shampoo were empty. So, they went and gave thé refills to other staff to bring in the room. One of the garbage pails they didn’t place a bag. Well, if I had known this is the service I would have received I would haven’t given both of them a tip. My husband and I left. we didnt feel the need to hover and watch. Thank you for sending your housekeeping services. The desk staff has been wonderful , pleasant and helpful. I want you to know I do appreciate your kindness.Least did I know they didn’t give my husband and I a full bottle of body wash. I told my husband I watched her pick up the full bottles but then went into another guest room where another staff brought out the bodywash to place in our suite. Seriously, I told the staff to just shut the door once she was finished as my husband and I were heading out. As I returned the Whirlpool jet tub wasn’t cleaned. Then I noticed the partial half midway bottle that I feel was taken from another guest room.My husband stated yes they put partial and take the full bottles home. I said NO…that’s stealing and why would they want to risk being dismissed from work. So, I couldn’t believe the amount of money I’m spending, especially when the hotel isn’t immaculate or prestigious. To be done in this manner by their housekeeping is absolutely obscured.

2022-06-29This hotel doesn’t make any sense. My friends an I did a small trip. Me and two of my other friends were 21 so we were old enough since their website says 21 is the minimum age. All of our other friends were over 18. They wouldn’t let us check in because some members of our party were not 21. That made no sense. What if I was on vacation with my kids am I not allowed to check in because my kids are not 21. So I don’t know. I guess if you have kids you cannot book a hotel here because they might not let you check in. The staff members just judged my friends and I as irresponsible teens that were going to destroy their rooms. It was unbelievable.

2022-02-04Rooms are dated, not well cleaned, bathroom was moldy. Was working nightshift and housekeeping came in my room multiple days while I was sleeping despite the do not disturb sign in the door. Had to ask one to leave multiple times.

2022-01-26Staff were AMAZING. Very kind and helpful. Seemed to really enjoy their jobs. HOUSEKEEPING staff were extremely quite as they cleaned the rooms. Issues with having hot water for a shower need to be addressed.

2021-12-16Disappointed. Duct tape around the windows. Rusted through metals in the shower. Van back up beeping at 5a. Maids letting the doors slam at 8am. Front desk people were very nice and apologetic but this is a HOTEL!! Ample parking. Price was reasonable but factor in poor sleep and hey. You get what you pay for. Smokey Bones was a plus. Didn’t try the red lobster. Why play music in the hallway on the guest floors?? QUIET!!!! Duct tape around the windows?? Only on Long Island. Renewed my Hilton membership.

2022-01-03I’m going to tell you somethings really wrong with this picture I am at the Marriott hotel in Ronkonkoma and I am currently paying $239 a night +5 dollars for parking and I am currently vacuuming and wiping down my own room. I have stayed in motels that were $70 a night and hotels that were $90-$100 a night where housekeeping came in every single day and the room when I would get back was immaculate. There is something very wrong with this picture I am changing my own table cloth I am wiping down the counters in this room as well as vacuuming the room changing the towels daily in the room again this room is costing me nearly $250 a night shame on the Marriott hotel not to mention this isn’t a normal every day room this is the “King Suite” aka the best room in the house. What an experience. Not to mention within five minutes of checking in my TV had to be checked three different times in the same day do to a power issue with the outlets in the room as well as my bed has come off the track two different times all within the first two days.

2021-10-12My stay at this hotel was excellent!! The check process was a breeze! I booked 6 separate rooms for a wedding this past weekend and the receptionist was able to check us all in smoothly and quickly. They provided two of the rooms with rollaway beds without any hassle; extra towels and blankets were brought to our rooms within 10-15 minutes of calling for them; and the staff was exceptionally polite. The rooms were clean and we had an overall great stay.

2021-10-05The Marriot was very cozy and although I didnt make use of all of the amenities, I respected the use of social distancing where necessary and a very professional demeanor when speaking with difficult guests. One aspect of the stay that I noticed that were in need of change, was the repairs throughout the building that needed upkeep. Some of the rugs were dirty and worn, walls had wallpaper coming off, and in my bathroom specifically, the towel holder was coming off from the wall. It seemed like an overall maintenance checkup is due.Despite this, it didnt take away from my experience, considering we didnt really spend much time in the hotel anyways. To clarify even further, we stayed at this hotel last wedding that we came to in the area and would stay a third time.
