Very good staff, a mistake was made and our room was cancelled, however the front desk staff took her time to make it it right, find us a room at no additional charge and offer complimentary breakfast, thank you. The rooms are you standard fare NYC small efficient rooms, but you didn’t come to New York to stay in your room. The central location is ideal
This hotel was just lovely! It’s a beautiful building and a great location! Short walks to Central Park, Radio City Music Hall, & Times Square. The room itself was nicely equipped and the bed was very comfortable! I was on the 31st floor and the view from my room was stunning (see attached photos). The building felt very secure and in the elevators your floor is only accessible with your room key. Lastly, I cannot say enough good things about the hotel staff! They were so kind & accommodating - allowing me an early check in as well as a late check out free of charge. This will now be one of my preferred hotels when traveling to NYC.
Gen and Sabrina were awesome. You would have thought I was checking into a little place outside Ft. Worth, TX. It was that kind of how are you ,welcome in, thanks so much for staying with us. The extras!!!Ive stayed all over the country. You expect kind but transactional in NYC when checking in. Its not a bad thing, its just what you expect. So getting a warm welcome, was a nice surprise. Gen was training and Sabrina was assisting. What a kind duo and assets to your company! Also my fridge needed turned on and Sabrina was all over it! Well done to them both!
I stayed here for 2 nights. In my opinion, the hotel is in an excellent location. Times Square, the theater district, 5th Ave etc. are all walkable if you dont mind a 10 to 15 minute stroll. I also like that where the hotel is located on 54th street is a one-way street makes the pick-up location for an Uber easy. The hotel lobby was always busy but staff kept it clean and organized. I didnt have to wait long to check-in and they held my bags so I could explore until my room was ready. My room was comfortable. I did not like the double bathroom doors...seemed more fashionable than practical and got in the way. There is a breakfast buffet available and I did that one morning but I do not recommend it. Its your basic continental breakfast but you have to pay $15 for it. There is are plenty of fast and sit down breakfast options on the same block...spend your money at those places instead. It rained most of my visit and the hotel did have umbrellas you could borrow for free. For the most part, I found all staff courteous and professional. I will definitely stay here again. The rate and location make it a great spot.
We stayed overnight as we were in the city just for a Broadway show. We found the hotel very quiet and chalked it up to the location not being as attractive to those looking to stay up all night partying. We were up on 18th floor and that isolated many of the sounds from the street below. This is definitely a great location if you’re attending shows on Broadway.
I travel all around the country for work. I have stayed in hundreds if not thousands of hotels. This hotel was top notch. Most of my work is outside the cities and I have never been around cities. I drove in on a Sunday evening and was a nervous wreck. The valet and hotel staff could see I was stressed and took time to make sure I was completely taken care of and comfortable with my surroundings. I could not have asked for a more amazing arrival. The room was small but was beautiful.
Dont bother with this hotel, it fails to offer basic things: theres no usb socket in the room to charge your phone, the receptionist didnt have an adapter either. Theres no teapot, just a coffee machine. There is NO drinking water in the room at all. Theres NO room service. This hotel offers room only service at best. Tried to call front desk and they tell hold the line and youre stuck with them for ages, theyre NOT answering. The hotel is overcrowded as well. Avoid.
Just checked out of this motel. Room was so dirty and small. Hair in the sink and bathtub. Used toilet in the toilet. Stains on the shower curtain and sheets. Housekeeping definitely didnt vacuum since there was tons of dust and even loose change on the ground next to the beds base. The room is so small, how can you not get that room cleaned easily.Location is the only thing about this motel. I would go somewhere else.
The best thing about this hotel? It was right next door to the Hilton Hotel and their Empire Grill and Bar. 5stars to the Hilton for great customer service. Marriot very blah! No mini bar, no bistro or cafe open at advertised times (in-house ) Lift your game Marriott. It’s New York and not back of beyond!
Loved this hotel ! World not hesitate to stay here again the next time I am in NYC. Location is super convenient, minutes walk to the bustling time square yet away from the very rowdy & crowded streets. There are 2 subway stations (42nd st. Bryant Park and 42nd st. Time Square which connects to any parts of NYC. The room was clean & quite spacious considering that it is NY city Center. Bed was comfortable & staff were all very friendly.
I arrived at 2am after a long work day and my rooms air conditioning was not working . The front desk agent was super friendly and attentive and upgraded my room for me . It makes a huge difference after a long day to have excellent service like this and my room was nice and clean thank you so much!!!
We had a fantastic experience. The room was clean. I highly recommend the Times Square room view. We were able to easily get food delivered downstairs for the nights we stayed in. You’re far enough away from Times Square that it doesn’t feel crazy busy. The hotel took cleanliness seriously and vaccination status. We were able to easily get our cards approved to access the fitness center: We would return here for another trip.
Excellent location that was central to everything we wanted to do and convenient. Front desk employees were very kind and helpful. Room as clean. Bedding was very comfortable. Very little street noise and absolutely no noise from surrounding rooms. The morning we checked out we did notice that we could smell cigarette smoke in the bathroom that must have been coming from a neighboring room. We wished that the water temperature in the shower would go hotter. The actual rooms were up to date but the hallways seemed dingy. Overall we had a great stay and will return next time we are in NYC due to friendliness of staff, cleanliness, and ideal location.
This was my best stay in the the city. The view from the rooms on the top floors is mesmerizing. The staff was great, very polite and professional, I even got upgraded room. Thank you so much, guys! The room itself is really spacious by NY standards and was cleaned everyday. The location of hotel is perfect - everything is at walking distance. I strongly recommend this hotel for everyone.
My daughter & I spent a long weekend here and loved our stay. The hotel was conveniently located at the corner of 54th & Broadway. There was plenty of light and pedestrian traffic so we felt safe coming and going at night and appreciated the security measures (elevator access for guests only) so we felt secure in our rooms. The hotel offered a convenient complimentary breakfast though there is so much available within a short walk, we only took advantage of that one morning. The soundproof rooms were amazing!
This hotel was central to absolutely everything we had planned to do. Walking to so many places. The bell staff was fantastic! Specifically Eric was so helpful and friendly! Every encounter with him and others in the staff was perfect. Thank you for arranging our vehicle transportation back to JFK. We were a group of 5 women and we felt safe and comfortable at the hotel. We will be back!
The Courtyard by Marriott Central Park is located on Broadway. Times Square is within walking distance, but the noise will not bother you. Central Park is just three blocks away, so if you want to stay in Manhattan, the location is 10/10. The staff is very attentive and helpful. Rooms are clean, beds and pillows - comfortable, the shower works perfectly, you will have a coffee machine for your morning routine. We spent our honeymoon week here; hotel gave us 30-th floor king room with a breathtaking view of the city. We will be back here for sure! Cheers ❤️
Thank you for taking the time to respond and take my comment into account.I forgot to specify that I just paid a supplement for an up grade of the room in order to have a better view and a larger room. But despite this we found ourselves on the 9th floor with a view of the neighboring building.I did not receive any refund for that either and the home did not want to hear or find a solution.
I would recommend this property for those traveling with family. We really enjoyed our stay. The 4th floor common area was a real plus for this area. As we were a large group it was not possible to meet in an individual room so we would meet on the 4th floor to plan our day or to enjoy meals. The hotel was very clean and the staff did everything possible to ensure guests were well looked after. The room key would grant access be it from the front door to getting to your floor, so we felt safe on this property. I would most definitely visit this property again.
We stayed here for 5 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. Our room was spacious and had a great view. We did use the gym, which was appropriately stocked with multiple treads, Peloton, and cable machine. The business area had a nice bar for drinks at night and Starbucks in the morning. Its conveniently located by multiple subway stops and plenty good restaurants and places for drinks after. Would stay again.
My family made a quick trip to New York to enjoy a couple of Broadway shows. We were very happy with our stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and housekeeping was professional. The complimentary breakfast was tasty and and so convenient. The hotel is conveniently located to the Theater District, Central Park and Times Square. I would recommend this hotel very highly.
If I could give this hotel 4.5, I would. I really liked the room. It had floor to ceiling windows. Our corner room on the 24th floor had only a sliver of a view of Times Square, but the view out onto the surrounding streets was great. The room was comfortable and it was quiet - no excessive street noise. It was very clean, but the bathroom needed an update - and the toilet was tucked into a small space that basically had you-to-face with the wall. Weird! Otherwise, the room was very spacious by NYC standards, the staff was professional and I would definitely stay here again.
Positive: FABULOUS location! Close to all the theatres, restuarants. I would stay here again in a minute!! Check in was smooth, room was a little small, but it is NYC and it was only for a night. I would stay here even if it was more than one night! Brkfst good. Negative: No
The location was the best part of my stay. Close to Central Park, the subway, shops and eating places I had the chance to walk to most places. Friendly and helpful staff for the most part, I enjoyed a comfortable stay. The room was clean , it might have been a little snug though(something that one can expect in NYC). I did make use of the luggage storage services which was very helpful. The laundromat on the 35th floor was extremely handy.
This was our first experience at this location and our stay couldn’t have been better. From start to finish the staff was exceptional and our room was immaculate! In addition, the complimentary breakfast was an unexpected treat and I loved that the fitness center was on the top floor instead of in the basement! We will definitely be back!
For the price, I was blown away by the size and view from our corner room. Im new to NYC but the guest services made my first week in the city memorable and comfortable. I had the most pain-free check-in and check-out of a hotel in my entire life and had plenty of assistance with flagging taxis, toting my luggage around and getting extra things sent to the room like bathrobes. With all the chaos of settling into a new home in a new city, Im incredibly grateful for Courtyard for making my stay worry-free and simple.
Very nice clean hotel, in a good location. Staff was always eager to help. Room was clean, cleaning service every day. Grab and go breakfast was good. Other than having to wait on the elevator a few times. Our stay was excellent. Definitely would stay again. Thank you
Room was clean, staff courteous and upgraded me to a two-bed room for second child, 24 hours before arrival. Staff masked for Covid. Courteous and helpful. The gym was a good size and maintained. Included 2 peloton bikes and free usage so I tried it and liked it! Also enjoyed a peloton post-workout stretch class. Excellent location in heart of Broadway, blocks from Central Park and lots of better food. Tsurutontan & Ippudo for Japanese, Pick-a-Bagel (line moves fast), Le Pain. Got birria tacos several times from the orange & white truck near 35th & 6th. Their in-hotel Starbucks was a bit pseudo, don’t expect 100%.
King Grand View Room . Great Value. Awesome view. Bed was very comfortable. Very clean rooms! and a cool Kitchenette setup.Hotel staff were awesome! The area is probably the best place in NYC. Posh around the corner, 10 minutes to; crazy, noisy Times Square , Broadway Theatre District or Peaceful Central Park. Subways are close and cabs are plenty. A small breakfast (grab and go) was included. (covid has put a brake on the buffet) You can enjoy this in the lounge. Great view of Broadway. I spent 2 nights . I will return Christmas week and will spend 4 nights.
Fantastic hotel with great views, excellent service and staff, and a great location. The hotel was accommodating in allowing me to check in early. The staff informed me of the available amenities which included continental breakfast and a Starbucks on the fourth floor. The hotel has an excellent location with several restaurants around the corner or across the street. Another plus is that its just far enough away from Time Square that you can easily avoid that chaos. If you wan to visit Time Square, Central Park, or Rockefeller Center, its only about a 15 minute walk away. Great experience and will stay again when visiting New York CIty.
Elevator noise.................wow..not good...personally I would not stay there again due to that alone. Rooms on top of elevator need updating.. (we changed) other rooms are good...views are nice but unless you are on tippy top of the hotel you have to look through building to see Central Park.
While the hotel is in good condition and in a good location, their business practices have soured my experience with them.First time was good in august 21. I booked a free cancellation more than 5 days before room through Priceline to return in January 22. Due to COVID I was unable to attend but cancelled it on time. I did not receive my refund. I have called and was told that on their end it showed as refunded so they would uplift my situation to another staff member. It has been 4 weeks and I have not been contacted by them. I’ve called again and haven’t been able to get in contact.Be wary of staying here because if something comes up and you can’t make your trip, even if you cancel with ample time you will likely not get your refund.
Overall we had a great stay. Staff were always friendly and helpful. When we requested extra towels through the Marriott app they were delivered promptly and I needed to arrange early morning transfer to the airport on our departure which was very easy and well priced. We loved the location which made walking to Time Square or Central Park very easy. There were also many restaurant options nearby. The only reason for the 9 is that there was often a mildew smell in the lobby when we entered and the elevators were very shaky. Aside from those small things we enjoyed our time there and would definitely stay again!
My kids and I loved our time at this hotel! It was a great experience! The front desk attendants were polite. The bellmen were kind, informative, and great at giving directions. The gym was well equipped with great view! The laundromat was a plus! It’s location is very convenient to many great tourists attractions. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely stay here again!! Thank you for making this a memorable stay!!
The location is amazing. But thats where it ends. Despite there being 4 elevators only 1 works at a time. So plan on long wait times to enter and exit the hotel. If you have somewhere to be give yourself a good 20 minutes to exit the building as the one functional elevator rolls by full..and you wait for another and another.. I found dried cereal in my white leather chair and a potato chip in my bathroom upon checking. The Starbucks on the 4th floor only had 1 person at the counter..and there are 34 floors of people trying to get breakfast/coffee at once. The gym has basic equipment but great views.
Positive: This hotel exceeded all expectations. Room was exactly as advertised and definitely worth the value. I highly recommend the king corner with city view of grand Times Square. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Beautiful. Quiet and private room. Negative: I drove so parking suck, they offer valet for 60/day with no in/out. Even with the parking disadvantage, hotel was still so good i still give this hotel a perfect rating.
I miss the City! The view from this place was spectacular! Loved everything about my room. Was very clean, everything worked. I stayed in two rooms during my stay. First 2602 and then 3102. Both corner rooms. Room 2602 felt like a much better room. The customer service from the front desk was wonderful. The Club Lounge is non-existent but you can sit there and have coffee. Close to EVERYTHING. Loved it and will be back!
We are very cautious people and were concerned about traveling right now. This is one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. We were at ease. The hotel is beautiful and well kept. The view is to die for!!! Wow. And a quick walk to Times Square, Central Park so many other places wow you can’t beat this. I really don’t have any complaints. If I have to think of anything it would be the shower is a bit odd and needed some repair. Other than this minor thing, I wouldn’t change a thing about the hotel. Will def stay again!!
I truly enjoyed this hotel. The staff was super professional, friendly and handled everything with tact, calmness and patience. I will definitely return. The only issue was the vent for the A/C airflow. It blew directly onto the bed! But this hotel was very clean and the views were spectacular.
Was at this hotel for a week and was met with wonderful service. After our original room seemed to share a vent with someone chain smoking cigarettes, we were met with absolute top notch service. Our room was upgraded to a higher floor with an even better view than our first and they threw in a bottle of wine. The front desk was incredibly polite and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy again. Cant blame them for someone disobeying the rules, but they did everything and more to make sure we werent effected by it and ended up happier in the end. Not only all this, but the location and proximity to the 53rd street metro station made getting around Manhattan a breeze. Will stay again when returning to NYC and highly reccomend you staying here on your trip.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, walking close to the main points in midtown and the Central Park but away from the noise and smell of the Times Square. The rooms are big enough with a nice view, comfortable bed and cleaned everyday. They offer free water and coffee.
This Marriot is in a great area for food, bars, and entertainment and the views are amazing, but what really sets this Marriot apart is the amazing staff. They are welcoming, professional, and simply amazing. If you want to get away and be pampered while experiencing all that NYC has to offer stay here.
My 2 night biztrip coincided with my birthday. Megan and her team made my stay special. I received a birthday card signed by all staff. It made my day in New York, City where I supposed to celebrate by myself like a lone wolf. The room was very clean, firm mattress, foam pillows, a gorgeous Broadway view, and steps away from Central Park. I managed to pack 2 fun runs in the park during my stay. Cant be better. I will be back.
We had a wonderful time staying here. We got the Corner King Room with the Times Square/Manhattan city views. After a long day of walking around 10 miles, it was nice to sit in the chairs and overlook the city with a glass of wine. The lights really do shine into the bedroom at night, and the noise was almost non-existent. The room was always cleaned for us everyday, and new towels were delivered on a daily basis as well. When it was time to leave they called us a taxi to the airport. We’ll definitely be back again.
Courtyard’s location was great. Staff was also great. However, rooms were poorly kept. We had to changed rooms due to duct tape being placed over windows and the other room had the same duct tape over windows, which I did not feel safe with my 6 year old twins in the room. Valet to retrieve your car took 45 minutes, which was very upsetting.
You cant do any better in midtown Manhattan for convenience. We walked mere blocks to Rockefeller Center, Central Park, theater, Moma and more. The room was small but very clean and adequate. The complimentary breakfast on the 4th floor was a great bonus. My only criticism is that the decor of the hotel needs some updating.
This is a nice hotel. I hate that they charge the entire stay amount the minute you check in but I guess thats the way it is.Seems like they are way understaffed but that is also to be expected at this point in time. The hotels extremely convenient, clean and well decorated in the rooms.
I was weary about traveling into the city during COVID. The staff made me and my fiancé feel so safe. They were friendly and kind, and our room was beautiful! Amazing views of the city! Everything was very clean and welcoming. From booking the room to check out everything was perfect. I just wish we could have stayed longer! 100% recommend!!!
Positive: The hotel was clean, but because of the pandemic we brought our own cleaning supplies and pillow cases. The ad says the microwave is in the room however it is located on the 4th floor of the hotel. The fridge is located in the room which was a plus. Negative: The room is powered by the room key which was new to us. I can see if you werent aware youd think something was wrong with the lighting.
This particular Marriott hit it out of the park in all areas. The location, the staff, the room, the view, and the amenities were far superior. I usually only stay at Marriott, but this specific one just had it all. When visiting NYC again, there’s no other hotel choice. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all. The view in the bar was priceless. There was a Starbucks two minutes away, which was a plus.
Modern hotel with great location near Central Park. Academy OK Quiet room with safe and good wifi. Mini bar The safe sits on top of the minibar on the same shelf and heats up. I was even afraid to damage valuables but there was no problem I even found out that if I buy a sandwich or packed food in the afternoon and leave it in the safe, it gets warm at night and at a good temperaturePhoto Safe and view from room window
Everything was great. The location: close to central park, Time Square, and the shopping malls. The service was good and the breakfast was great (coffee, bagels, and eggs were yum). We stayed in the 26th floor, which had a great city view. I will stay at this hotel next time, too.
First trip to NYC. I had no idea about location or places to stay. During my many searches I always found myself back on this site. I booked directly through Courtyard and the booking agent encouraged me to get the corner room overlooking Time Square and oh what a view. Everything about this hotel far exceeded my expectations. Great location very friendly staff and clean would be an understatement. We will definitely stay here again during return trips to The Big City.
I really think the hours and amenities available in the cafe/bar on the 4th floor was not acceptable. Yes there are plenty of restaurants nearby, but sometimes it’s just easier to make a quick run to the cafe to grab items and charge them to the room rather than trek outside, especially for families. For what it’s worth, If I was traveling alone or with another adult I probably wouldn’t even use the cafe.
I travel to NYC (mainly to chase my dreams lol) and stay at many different places. This hotel is very nice. Daniel checked me in - he was great! Its adjacent to the Stephen Colbert studio. My room wasnt the best, some door knobs missing, weird paper beneath the toilet (not good) bt the service made up for it. The 4th floor is a stunning space for meetings or to chill (if travelling with friends or have time, I have neither). Would definitely recommend!
Giving it 4-4.5 .Location is fantastic- close to great attractions, 10-15 mins of walk to Central Park, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, St Patrick Church and 5th Avenue shopping. Subway also accessible for more distant sightseeing.Would have loved it more if 1) room was bigger, though not unusual for being in NY, but we didnt have even have space to lay down our luggage. And 2) our view was just OK. Guess we had the not so great part of the building. As a long time Marriott member, I was hoping for better room assignment, especially since I was there for a week.Nevertheless, if you dont mind the view and room size, you will appreciate the location. Not sure how the other Marriott properties are in this side but I do plan to check them out next time.
2 nights in a Corner King room to finish a 2 week holiday over Christmas. The view was incredible, the bed very large and super comfortable. Bathroom was a good size with a bath and separate shower cubicle (something I haven’t found too often in en-suite hotel rooms) but a slightly strange layout. Lighting was also slightly intense in the bathroom with neither providing a setting for mood lighting to relax in the bath nor providing a particularly natural light to dress/do makeup in the mirror. Room service were very attentive with the room being kept to a very high standard of cleanliness and tidiness, as well as daily re-stocking the Keurig machine.Overall a great stay.
Great location. Good view. However, toilet is placed very close to the wall opposite it making it difficult to stand up from a seated position. I know, such a weird thing to complain about but I’d never experienced it before! The wall was 12-18 inches from the front of the bowl. I’m a larger person and apparently lean forward to stand up. A taller person would likely have their knees touching the wall. Very uncomfortable and for that reason alone wouldn’t recommend this property.
We were very happy with our stay at the Marriott Courtyard Hotel. Everything was so clean, people were very helpful and friendly, close to all the main attractions.... Times Square, Central Park, 5th Ave etc and the decor was very pleasing and up to date, would definitely reccomend! Pamela J
The location is ideal and thats where it ends. Despite there being several elevators, only one works at a time. If you need to be somewhere, leave yourself 20 minutes to catch an elevator. The Cafe on the 4th floor had 1 person working it. The chair in my room has dried raisin bran stuck to it and the bathroom has a Pringle on the floor. Despite providing my Marriott Bonvoy ID # upon checking in, I never received points for my long stay. I contacted customer service twice about this and they were useless.
Courtyard New York Manhattan/Central Park is very conveniently located on Broadway at a walking distance from both Central Park and Times Square. There are several good restaurants and bakeries in the area (nearest Le Pain Quotidien bakery is on 56th and 8th Ave).Rooms are modern, clean, and good size for NY. Iron, coffee maker, small fridge, and a lock box are all provided. The elevators are fast and the wait is not long. The free internet is very slow. If you plan to do any work from the room you would have to purchase high-speed internet ($7/day).
Hotel is in a great location to walk to Central Park, time square and many other NYC staples. Rooms are small but it’s New York. Amenities like food and beverages weren’t available on 5th floor likely due to covid. Still a nice place to relax after walking around in the city.
They didn’t have the room we reserved, hotel was overbooked, electricity around the bed didn’t work, stuff growing in the fridge. Breakfast was a banana and yogurt and the Starbucks wasn’t open at all. Very nice views from the 23rd floor though and elevators great and bed comfortable.
Reason for visiting: stayed here while on vacationDate/time of visit: July 5-8Parking: n/a; I didnt park here but parking is ~$50/night, I believe. Its better not to park a car anyway since subway is near by.Party size: 17Environment/ambience: pretty tricky. Most navigation apps will lead you to the entrance on Broadway but loading/unloading is on 54th, along with being able to valet, etc. Rooms were ok; keycard needed to power the room but the do not disturb door signs keep falling off. Some of the room doors dont shut on their own, you should make sure your door is shut before leaving. Elevators can take forever since they try to limit the elevators to 2 people or 1 family at a time. The rooms were comfortable, not huge or anything. The view was good; I can see Broadway.Service: great. The guys that work the lobby are good, both the front desk and bellmen. No room service though. Elevators to the left (when facing the elevators) are for Residence Inn; elevators to the right are for Courtyard Inn (they only go up through Floor 35). Theres also a gym on the 35th floor.Food: morning breakfast was grab n go, on the 4th floor up through 9:30 AM. Bar is open during the day time; you can buy beers from the front desk as well. Theres a bar across the street when the bar is closed.Cost: ~$230/night, (no parking)
We loved every moment of it. From check in, where Pamela took care of making us feel very welcomed and provided us with the best service and good energy. Throughout the stay, Meghan made sure that we had all the questions answered. Thank you Pamela and Meghan for a truly great experience. My wife and I are both Diamond level at Hilton but well choose to come back to your hotel because of how you made us feel.
We were a little skeptical due to our high expectations of hotel service and cleanliness and were very pleased with this hotel. I must admit that I am somewhat of a hotel snob, and my family always looks to me for my reaction to a hotel that we havent stayed before. It was all great experience. Love the 4th floor gathering place...great for morning coffee and breakfast before heading out for the day. Location is perfect to most anything you want to see and do in the city and the staff was friendly and helpful both before we arrived and while we were there. Rooms are small and we had two for family of 4, two teens and two adults. We will stay there again for sure and will recommend to friends looking for this type of hotel for their stay. Great Job!!
Positive: Great location. Several different train lines within blocks. Walking distance to Time Square. Lots of places to eat right around the corner. Antonios one block south is awesome and reasonable. Hotel also had laundry facilities on 35th floor. Negative: Everything was awesome.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Courtyard/Central Park. While the room was small, the view and floor to ceiling window was awesome and made up for the size. And also, while I cant say anything outstanding about the hotel itself, it was clean, the elevators ran smoothly and the staff is outstanding. The checkin was quick and efficient. Probably one of the quickest Ive ever experienced. And Melissa made sure we were happy with our room and went above and beyond to do so. She actually went up to check on the availability and wait for us. We truly appreciated that. I would definitely visit this hotel again.
I specifically looked for a room with a mini fridge and it was broken. Once you’re all unpacked one doesn’t want to hassle with moving to another room or with anyone entering your room during Covid-19. Annoying! Plus please get the darn bar and restaurant fully up and running. Also annoying!
Confortable rooms. I had to valet my car, they kept the car parked outside on the street for more than 3 hours with hazard lights on. Had to request the car to be put away before it got ticketed. Arriving to hotel is horrible. Busy road and no place to park or stop to get out
Positive: Location and the staff were Very friendly. Negative: The room was clean except the phone had about an inch of dust and fuzzy stuff on it and the wood part over the head of the bed was very dusty. Had a few dust balls! Not good where you are breathing all night. Couldnt get coffee till 4?
I had a terrible customer service experience with Marriott. They cancelled my reservation and rebooked me at this worse hotel the week before my reservation so that I couldnt book anywhere else. When I asked to escalate they said a GM would contact me in 3 business days. Been over a week no contact. Our room had scuffs all over the walls, bent shower holders. The only redeeming qualities were the onsite staff. I will be sharing this review everywhere.
Excellent place. Especially if you can get one of the top rooms. The view is astonishing both by day and night. Service at the desk is very helpful and housekeeping too. I had some issues at the beginning but with the support I got there is nothing to complain about.Rooms are relatively small however clean and well equipped so if you plan a visit in NYC consider staying at this hotel.
Me and my partner arrived at the hotel and within minutes we were in our room. Once we opened the door, Immediately we noticed how much better the room was, as opposed to the photos. Below our some key points.•The view was fantastic (king corner room)•The bed was extremely comfortable.•The shower water pressure was perfect •The staff in the lobby were great.•The hotel didn’t ever seem overpopulated.•The location was perfect 5-10 minute walk to Central Park, or the same time to time square.Overall our stay was an absolute delight. We had booked this stay to celebrate our Anniversary and the hotel staff did a fantastic job in helping us do so. We will 100% be back to stay when we are in New York next.
If you are going to NYC with your family, this is the place to stay. It’s clean, staff is friendly, and you’re walking distance to Times Square, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, along with plenty of dining; and Subway access to any location in the 5 boroughs. The best value in the city.
I visited the city with my 11-year old and my adult son along with his girlfriend. I was a bit skeptical due to the price per night for our rooms. My room was on the 7th floor, and my son had a corner room on the 23rd floor. The hotel staff was accommodating and friendly. Our rooms were clean, and our turndown service was excellent. Their 4th-floor lounge was a beautiful touch, friendly waitstaff, and they even had live music on Tuesday evening. Our midtown location was ideal for an easy walk to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Bryant, and Central Park. We were delighted with our experience, and I would highly recommend the Courtyard/Manhatten/Central Park location. I plan to stay there again on our next visit to NYC.
Pros· The bed was super comfortable, the shower was huge and the water came out strong and hot. The room was very clean and the housekeeping staff did a great job. The front desk staff was very nice as well. The elevators were pretty fast.Cons· Our room had no natural light. It was squeezed between buildings and was very dark with no view; something I would have expected from a high rise hotel in NYC. Had to go to the basement to get ice. Included breakfast would have been nice as it is included in the Courtyard across town.
This place is great. I was treated with respect, and even was provided an upgraded room on the elite level. Rooms were cleaned to perfection on the daily. I did have an issue with AC, but they came up and fixed it as quickly as possible. I also found a cockroach one morning. Gross! BUT, to be fair, there are thousands of people from all over the world hitting this hotel. Im sure the staff is doing everything they can to control pests. Overall, a great hotel.
When I checked in my room was already ready, I asked for extra towels, I had them 5 minutes after I was in my room. When I checked out there was an error on my bill which they fixed and I told them the air conditioner was performing well and they credited my account without even asking for my inconvenience.
I would like to comment how pleased I was with the service provided to me by Melissa & Jamie. During my recent trip I was fortunate enough to stay at your property. I have stayed at many Marriott properties across the US and have found most of them pretty good and the staff generally friendly. Your staff has by far out paced every one of them.I have very high standards and Melissa & Jamie exceeded them every step of the way. Being in Human Resources, part of my job is to spot outstanding achievers and make sure senior management is aware of their dedication. This hotel was fantastic! Not only was it an extremely clean and well-maintained hotel - it actually has a lovely interior. My guest room were very very clean - they actually even smelled fresh which scores big with me. PLUS - service, all across, the board - was exceptional. Really friendly and flexible management and staff who made our executives and our corporate guests feel attended to and taken care of. Theres a high level of genuine personal attention extended to our program/event - that easily extended to our attendees - it was refreshing as it was fantastic. From management, to front desk and banquet/kitchen staff this Hotel delivers on service all across the board.
The Courtyard by Marriott Central Park was conveniently located to Columbus Circle, Central Park, Rockefeller Center and all of the shopping and sites. Slightly outside of the hustle bustle , this hotel was in the perfect location to all of the touristy parts of town. It was clean and the city view rooms had great views of the city. The Fitness Center on the 35th Floor had a GREAT view of the city and the bar on the 4th floor was big, comfortable and modern. The overnight rooms were clean and comfortable and had a modern design. The king size room was perfect to sleep my husband, myself and our 10 year old son. An affordable option that close to the sights and sounds of NYC? Who can ask for anything more?!
We had a wonderful stay! Upon checking in I was told I received an upgrade and the view was amazing! The breakfast isnt great but I would suggest finding somewhere else to eat because of the awesome cuisine you can find at anytime and most places are within walking distance. The rooms are clean and more than suitable enough for having a place to stay. The hotel staff is very nice, welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. Theres a police precinct a 4 minute walk, a bar, at least 2 pizza places one is open until 430am, bus stops and subway entrances. ENJOY YOUR STAY!
I loved my room, was comfy and with a great view. Personal was great. I only wish they had streaming services on the TV or at least a way to connect my phone to the TV. I dont really watch cable. But not big deal since I end up using my computer to watch some movies. The hotel has a perfect location for going jogging in the park and close to the metro. Highly recommend.
My husband and I came all the way from Queens (ha ha) for a one night staycation. We loved this hotel! First of all, the staff were so welcoming and had friendly, fun personalities. The room was large for Manhattan and functionally designed with a nice closet space. Also, it was very quiet in our room, which has not been the case in many hotels in the U.S. The view was fantastic, the floor to ceiling windows really make it. We had a nice chair to sit and look out. Sometimes you need a break from the hustle and bustle, so this hotel gives you a nice place to relax in your room or in the spacious lounge area on the 4th floor..The room was very clean and the complimentary breakfast tasty and made fresh. If you’re visiting the city to sightsee, you couldn’t ask for a better location. I’m definitely recommending this hotel to family and friends.
Great location. Perfectly situated if you intend to enjoy the shows. It was close to Times Square, about a 15 min leisurely walk. The front desk service sucks! We were never greeted while coming or going, not even a smile or acknowledgement when eye contact was made. The rooms were comfortable enough for a 3 star. The door to the bathroom doesnt close all the way. The mini-fridge wasnt very cold. Our neighbors were annoying; calling to each other down the hallway. Common courtesy people! This hotel was rated highly in Trip Advisor, but I feel like I choose poorly for our 10 yrs anniversary stay. Would definitely not stay here again and would think twice about staying at another Courtyard.
I stayed here with my boyfriend for his birthday. I upgraded to the corner room with the view of Times Square. Definitely worth upgrading! The view was amazing! I’ve never gotten such a great city view before! The location of the hotel is also great! Right near Times Square which is nice if you are into that. It was also pretty close to Madison Square Garden which is nice if you’re going to hockey game like we were. It’s about a 25 minute walk or a really easy/quick subway ride away. The room itself was really nice in addition to a great view. It did show some signs of wear and could have maybe used a deep clean but it didn’t feel dirty though. The hotel staff was super friendly and they even gave us free breakfast because it was my boyfriend’s birthday. The breakfast was pretty good but not super exciting. No waffles/pancakes anything like that. Coffee was good though and the breakfast sandwich I had was pretty tasty. I’d suggest getting breakfast elsewhere if it’s not included just because it’s expensive and not really anything special. Overall it was a great experience and we had a great time! I’m definitely glad we stayed there and will probably be back! I HIGHLY recommend getting the corner room on a high floor. It was JUST like the pictures online. Such a beautiful view of NYC and that definitely made it more special!
Small but nice rooms, good to have coffee makers in the rooms as well as ice buckets and mini fridge. Ice machine is onlyvon the 35th floor, ice buckets are small. TV didnt have reception, staff was very friendly. Location is perfect for just about anything. 6 blocks from Central Park and not too far from the Hutson River. Places to eat and shop are all there.
I have stayed at this hotel multiple times in the past. I had always had a good experience until this last trip. The room was to be a city view and was a view of the corner of building. But i understand that can happen so i was not upset about that. What was the issue was the disrepair of the room and lack of cleanliness. There was a chunk missing from the counter in the bathroom. Both the bathroom shower and the refrigerator had mold in them. Yes mold! And the head board had stains that i do not want to know what they were. Also the Tv was dated and made a buzz sound at all times. Also the lights require a key card. So when the key card is in automatically turns a light on be hide the bed which in are room could not be turned out unless we took the card out. The issue was this killed the power to the outlets we had a phone charges in so we woke to dead phones. I made these issue known the next morning was only offered points on my account. No discount or any kind. I am not one to make a scene so i said thank you and left. The hotel does have a good location. Any maybe i just got a bad room. I will be looking else were in Manhattan for my next trip in November.
Not a good experience at all. Pulled the entire room amount out an entire month in advance when they said pay at the hotel. Two of the four elevators were broken our entire stay (5 days), making our wait for an elevator 10 minutes each time because there are 35 floors. Came down for breakfast at 10:30, EVERYTHING already cleaned up and put away, coffee flavor pumps completely out, cream not restocked. So much for sleeping in and having some breakfast and fresh coffee. Breakfast also not included with your stay, you have to pay extra per night to eat basic breakfast food. Fire alarms had a “false alarm” that went off for one of the nights for 30 minutes at 4:30 in the morning. Pulled a $20/night fee for anything you bought at the hotel, which is fine but it was not mentioned until we arrived at the hotel and we were tight on money for our stay already. Bartenders at the bar had bad attitudes, no smiling or conversation of any type, no hustle when busy. ATM not working on our last day. I highly recommend finding another hotel. Only thing good about it was the location.
Love the atmosphere and staff were courteous and supporting. Unfortunately, I didnt receive anything (promised to me by a nice Mgr.) for my troubles (extremely LOUD 🔊 noise, finding clothes and underwear in a drawer). Other than this one visit, I really enjoy being at this location.
Location was good for walking around. Not so good to find reasonably priced eating places. Hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. We booked and paid for a king/queen room with bath. After being give a double with no bath, we were moved to a bigger room the next night with.. a tiny bath (it came up to my calf!) which was no good for bathing in. Reception was adamant that no room or facilities were guaranteed, even if specified on booking and premium paid. I have never heard of this in any hotel before!?Bar was not good, had no atmosphere and did not offer a great choice of drinks and no specials (as advertised in the lift)! Overall, the location is the best thing about this hotel but I think there are many hotels around the same price that would offer better facilities and service. I have stayed in Marriott hotels many times and was confident of a high standard however I was disappointed in this hotel and would not recommend.
This is our second time coming to New York and decided to stay at this location once again after our first great experience. (Amazing corner room views!) This time around we came to celebrate my Fiancée and I anniversary. Our flight landed early in the morning so we were able to store our luggages at the hotel while the room was getting ready and walked around the city. Once the room was ready to check into, we came back and the front desk agent gave us our corner room in one of the highest floors possible, on the 33rd floor. Upon entering we noticed something was waiting for us on the table.. a bottle of Champagne and 2 small cheesecakes, with a lovely hand written card from the hotel! (Thank you Jamie for the hand written card and surprise) This gesture was so unexpected and it caught my Fiancée and I by surprise and gave us a huge smile. We loved that they went out of their way to provide such a wonderful experience as soon as we entered the room! Each time we comeback to New York rest assure we will be returning back to this property. By the way did i mention how amazing the views are from the room? Breathtaking!
This hotel is in an excellent location. Walking distance to times Square, Central Park and lots of shops and restaurants. The hotel is modern. Bedroom is quite small but there were four of us in the room, 2 adults, 2 children so it was to be expected. The Starbucks on the fourth floor of the hotel was really convenient. The gym on the top floor was very well equipped. This is a busy hotel so you may have to wait on the lift from time to time. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Great place, very NY cozy! Clean rooms, roof top gym is awesome and very well equipped. There is also a well kept bee farm on the roof. It is safely kept away from people. (Picture). It is right in the middle of it all, short hop from Central Park. The staff is very nice and thorough in explaining NYC Covid rules. I would def come back to stay here!
Each staff member we dealt with was knowledgable, friendly and efficient. The room itself was beautiful - especially the bathroom! The shower was lovely and clean with a great shower head. We ate at the lounge a couple of times and the food was very good, the view even better! The furniture in there was so cozy, and there were many seating options depending on the type of experience you prefer. LOVED our stay here and would definitely stay again.
As expected, really nice hotel, clean rooms and beautiful views. Close to everything (walking distance to Times Square, broadway shows, Rockefeller centre, etc) which we loved as we could get back in the room at any point in the day if we wanted. We had originally booked a corner room (asked for high floor and got 32nd floor) but there was some noise from the pipes at night and changed to a king room with city view which was as nice (23rd floor). Lovely birthday surprise for my husband - cakes and four bottles of water which we really appreciated.A nice experience and we would definitely choose this hotel again.
Belated review for my stay in Sept 2017 for 3 nights. I prefer this location in its proximity to Columbus Circle/Central Park, and being at the top end of the Broadway strip by Ed Sullivan Theater.Stayed in a room with 2 beds with my parents. Floor space was a bit hard to come by with their bigger luggage compared to my carry-on, but we made do. The bathroom is a decent size for Manhattan. Enjoyed looking out the floor-to-ceiling windows down to Broadway. Bed/pillows were comfy. There’s an in-room fridge, a safe, bottles of water, and a Keurig(?) machine (didn’t use). The staff/concierge were friendly and great to be around. They were even thoughtful to leave an anniversary gift (for my parents) of chocolate-dipped strawberries, a bottle of sparkling wine and a handwritten card - all ready to go when we got up to our room! I put in a note during the room reservation about the anniversary and this generous gift was a surprise! Each day they greeted us when we leave or enter the hotel. My father loves to chit-chat so he makes himself known. They provided us with umbrellas when it was raining and we even got to keep them! Also arranged for car service to 2 separate airports, and it was seamless. Thank you and will be back!
Impressively good hotel. Rooms were good size for NYC and were updated and comfortable. Lots of storage and work space. Small kitchenette was very nice.Over all a great experience. Spent 2 nights there.Only downside (or upside) is that its close enough to times square that youll get a lot of tourist traffic.
Modern hotel with a great location. The entire staff clearly understands who pays their salaries, and there is nothing that they wont assist you with! Rooms are on the smaller side but they are up to date, clean and comfortable. Many of the rooms have fantastic views. Amenities are great in this hotel. I wouldnt think twice about staying here next time.
The hotel is amazing. The rooms are small but feel large due to the high ceiling and openness. The associates are great too. I was given complimentary water due to the outdoor temperature which all in all was a great gesture. I really didn’t expect it. I will definitely be back to the Hotel. It’s also in a decent location and close to pretty much all that Manhattan has to offer.
My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 10th Anniversary. The hotel is gorgeous! Our room was upgraded at no charge to time square view corner room, with breathtaking views of the city and Times Square out of every window. The staff were all incredibly friendly and kind. Jamie Bond went above beyond by sending up champagne, cheesecake and the sweetest note. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom is beautiful and for being in the city the room is a great size. Without a doubt we will be returning!
Booked with them and had a question about their pet policy. Tried to reach them through booking.com, email and phone. Never got a response and they hung up on me after their automated answering machine. Cant recommend if you need to arrange anything more complicated in advance, no idea about their hotel itself.
Arrived at the check-in desk and was immediately struck by the helpful and sincere nature of the person checking us in, who did everything he could to accommodate us and make our stay pleasant. The room was exactly as we expected based on pictures. Staff was helpful meeting our requests. And the cocktail in the lounge was perfect! The location was also super-convenient for a night out including, drinks, dinner, a show and late night dancing!
Lots of good things to say.Location excellent, bed really comfy, Shower excellent. View ( 31 st floor) great. Hotel decor funky and interesting. Staff on floor 1 very pleasant and professional. TV good size. The difference between good and excellent is in small details. The air con was really noisy, the room was given a spit and polish rather than cleaned. i.e ( I dropped a powder compact on the floor and due to peripheral neuropathy could not pick it up. Expected cleaning staff would do so. It was still on the floor when I got back). The bar person never mentioned that happy hour was in 5 minutes when we ordered a drink ( that we didnt really want but cleaners still in room.) She never gave us a bowl of prezels either until I asked for them.
Great location easy to travel across Manhattan and to other boroughs. Staff are always attentive and understanding to your needs. Very good hotel overall with a contemporary style!Hotel appeals to people of all ages, Im in my early 20s and it didnt feel too young or too old for me.
Kimberly at the front desk is amazing, helpful and very kind. The rooms are small but thats expected in a big city. Its a bummer they dont include breakfast as other Courtyard Marriotts do, A/C works great in the rooms, nice assortment of pillows offered in the rooms, as well as coffees and teas (Keurig). Great location for tourists! Good city views. Noisy street with cars honking and emergency vehicle sirens.
We stayed at your hotel on Fri, Jan. 17th When we first arrived, we were very pleased with the hotel itself, the location and the wonderful customer service. The reason for my low rating was it quickly went down hill. For starters, the elevators didnt work, we were in room 905, so it was essential the elevators worked properly. But my biggest complaint had to do with the smoke alarms going off from 3am to 5:30am, every 5 minutes or so! We could not sleep, could not enjoy our planned day in the city! It was unacceptable, especially since it was an issue with the system! I spoke to Megan W., The manager, who offered me a refund on our stay. She has not issued the refund and has not returned my calls! If you want quality service and a good nights rest, I advise you not to stay at this hotel!
Although I typically choose a Marriott over a Courtyard, I found the Courtyard Manhattan/Central Park to be very sleek, stylish and contemporary. Its location was perfect for where I would be spending my time for an extended 4 day weekend getaway. The front desk staff were all wonderful and very accommodating. Although there was no restaurant at the hotel, I found the 4th floor bar and coffee area to be a very pleasant alternative option. I didnt have dinner but I checked out the menu and had a great cappuccino while I waited for my room to be ready. My room was spacious and the bathroom was updated and modern with a GREAT shower. Several bars and restaurants were literally a stones throw away and accessibility to Uber pick-ups and cabs was a breeze. Overall, it is definitely on my top list of places to stay when visiting the city for sight seeing and meeting up with friends.
Had a wonderful time at the Courtyard with my fiance visiting NYC for a couple of days. We stayed here for two nights and was upgraded to a suite when we first checked in. We booked a corner room with a view originally but this room had a nice small kitchenette area when walking in. The room was small, but we expected this due to it being NYC.Pro:+ View+ Customer Service+ Location+ Very cleanCons:- Small small bathroom + tiny toilet- Loud elevators you can hear via roomIf I needed to get a hotel in this area, I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Enjoy your trip!

2022-05-06Fantastic hotel in the heart of the city!!! The room are a little small but the design inside is so pretty and vintage style. Great location with subway entrance less than a block away. There lots of places conveniently located near the hotel to eat at or get take out. Also there is a Starbucks across the street. I recommend you this place when you stay there, because It was clean, and the staff was polite.

2022-06-28This place is a factory, get them in, get them out. We stayed 2 nights. Breakfast was exceptionally poor and plastic plates, plastic cutlery and cardboard cups just didnt do it for me. It was so poor. Our shower in our bathroom leaked, the fridge sounded like a helicopter was hovering outside our window and the 37th floor. Bed was comfortable in fairness. Aside from all that, guys on the front door were great and the location was excellent. There are better and cheaper hotels in NYC.

2022-06-23We had a fabulous experience! The staff was super friendly and if you get to meet Sabrina or Victor at the front desk they are so kind, helpful, and will put a smile on your face. I had to order an emergency package and they made sure I received it. Overall, great amenities, great staff, and great stay! Will definitely come back.

2022-02-07Fantastic hotel in the heart of everything! The rooms are small but the design made it feel surprisingly spacious. BEST HOTEL SHOWER I have ever enjoyed. Amazing water pressure and a temperature gauge so you could see how hot/cold the water was.

2022-04-15The hotel was located in a perfect spot for the things we went to New York to do! It is a couple blocks from the theater where we saw The Music Man and just a few blocks from Central Park! So the location gets 5 stars but the hotel itself was lacking. The rooms were very small and the hotel amenities were few! For the overnight cost I expected the hotel to be more accommodating to their guests. So the hotel gets 3 stars. In total a 4 star experience 👍🏼

2021-12-18Service was excellent. Rooms were quite roomy unlike a typical NYC small hotel room. Very clean hotel. Had a issue with two elevators not working but that didnt keep me from giving it five stars. Staff was great and very knowledgeable. Plenty of restaurants near this hotel and a short walk to times square and central park. Really enjoyed my stay here and look forward to staying here again in the near future.

2021-12-27Had a great stay at this property, stayed for 3 nights, the bed was comfortable, room was beautiful and modern, although it was on the small side. We had to pay for breakfast which should have been included in the price, and a short period of time for breakfast given the amount of people coming and going. Otherwise, check-in was quick and easy, the lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas.

2022-02-01I’ll spare the details with a belligerent guest, but I can’t say enough positive things about the staff and manager. I wish I could remember the name of the pretty girl working the front desk, but she was professional, courteous, and handled herself extremely well. The manager was what you’d expect a hotel like this to have: Dignified and proud of his job. Thank you all for wonderful service. I’ll be back!

2022-04-12Hotel is great. But their staff dont care.5 times i was put on hold while calling the front desk. 3 times they hung up before saying anything. Thank goodness i was not in an emergency. Nobody responds. I had no internet connection in my room and meetings to hat I could not have because of that. How sad. Such a beautiful place.

2022-05-23Excellent stay small room, near to the time square & Central Park. Comfortable bed, quiet if you are in the higher floors and not near to the elevator. I like everything except how busy the lobby & reception sometimes. This stay is the second time in this hotel but the previous room was better because it was larger room at the corner & broadways view.
