Hotel was accommodating when we had to adjust our date of arrival by 1 day. Bed was clean and very comfortable. We requested room service but it never happened. There is an in-room coffeemaker but no creamers or sweeteners. Bar is closed, so no cocktails. Needed 3 stamps for letters - nope. and no help to solve the request. Mediocre at best - bare minimal service.
A great example of the oldest of old-school Courtyard layouts, where every room has a small balcony, and it surrounds a (wait for it) courtyard! with seating and a gazebo. This one is clean and functional and due for a renovation, but the staff were excellent, and the facilities were fine. Fitness center had nice, new cardio equipment and plenty of space for floor exercises.Convenient to everything in Rochester if youre driving; about a mile down a pretty busy road to get to the nearest running trails with sketchy sidewalks.
Pretty gross and badly run hotel overall. We checked in, only to find undergarments hanging on the back of our bathroom door. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, we were told that the cleaning staff probably thought it was a towel and left it there. First of all, the clothes were black and the towels were white. Second of all, why would the cleaning staff leave a used towel from an old guest there? Needless to say, the room was disgusting and obviously not cleaned properly. No attention to detail. We had family stay in the same hotel at that time in different rooms. They all had similar experiences about the grungy rooms. They also complained of the showers not draining at all.If possible, Id stay away from this place.
Clean, comfortable lodging at reasonable rates. The rooms are spacious and serviceable, but could use a refresh. The elevator is incredibly slow. Furniture is a bit scuffed. Sink and tub drains were clogged, but thats not unusual. It was once a top notch property and can be again.
Hotel has seen better days. Room HVAC system is very very loud and prevented a good nights sleep. When I brought this up to the hotel staff they said that all rooms systems were loud and might be able to move me if I checked back later in the day. Attitude was indifferent to my concerns. Also despite pre-requesting additional towels for my family of 4, there were only two towels in the room despite the hotel acknowleding my request. A 15 minute wait at the front desk got me more towels. Also had issues with little toilet paper and tissues in the room...another trip to the front desk. Hotel elevator makes very loud and disconcerting noises and the carpets are dirty. This hotel has seen better days. There are other options in the Rochester area for hotels...I will use those in the future instead of this hotel.
Hotel lobby and rooms were renovated. The hallway walls seem a little dated. The Few times I have needed to interact with staff, they have been great. I have stayed here twice and already have my 3rd trip booked. I need to plan my days better as I’d like to use the pool or hot tub next time.
Upon our arrival we were greeted professionally! Check-in was quick and easy! Our room was nice and clean! The BISTRO breakfast was delicious and the server was friendly, very efficient and professional! In this time as the pandemic eases it was great to see people working again!!
I was largely disappointed with my stay because so many things that I was supposedly paying for weren’t available. I understand things being different because of the pandemic, but please say that on the website and booking! It said in three different places that there was continental breakfast (even said it in the room!) but it was actually pay-as-you-go. I thought “well that’s annoying” but figured I’d check out what they had for that option. There weren’t even any prices listed on the menu before you ordered. I didn’t want to end up paying $10 for a container of yogurt or something and I wasn’t going to keep asking the prices of each item, so I went to a restaurant for breakfast. Then the pool hours were different from normal hours but it wasn’t posted anywhere other than on the pool door. So the pool was closed. It also required a reservation, which was also only mentioned on the sign on pool door. I had gotten into my swimsuit and everything but whatever, I’ll call tomorrow to reserve for that evening. Flip to the next day, got the reservation for that evening, no problem. Come that time, I got into my suit, headed down to the pool and there was already a huge family in the pool and I couldn’t get in. I call from outside the pool and was told that they “don’t allow day-of reservations” (Why was that not stated on the sign about reservations? Why did they allow my day-of reservation when I called earlier?). The man let us into the pool but he really didn’t seem happy about it. But I wasn’t going to go back to my room after changing into my suit for no reason for a second day in a row.The hotel wasn’t dirty but it wasn’t really clean either. The toilet had stains, there was some mold on tile in the shower, and the floor wasn’t very clean. Also housekeeping apparently doesn’t come by until practically the evening so when we stopped in to change clothes for dinner they were just coming by to clean and therefore couldn’t do it with us there. So the room didn’t even get cleaned. Paid all that for essentially no amenities.Just stay somewhere else.
This hotel needs a refresh. The rooms werent dirty but definitely worn out, especially the bathrooms. Ceiling was stained. Staff was pretty friendly. Towels seem to be an issue at this location. We had to ask for additional towels (there were not enough in our room for the number of guests from the start) and none by the pool. Courtyard was a nice area to hang out in but there were old cigarette butts on our patio. Air conditioning system very loud in our room. Im sure we could find better hotels in the area if we were to return.
No pool available. You had to reserve spot because of COVID and all spots were taken before we even checked in. No ice makers on the floor, just wires. No vending. Bistro was closed our entire stay due to a holiday weekend, None of this was told to us when we booked the stay (by phone). Phone in room didn’t work Staff was friendly. Room was clean and comfortable.
Was pretty impressed, nice little balcony in room, no hot tub even though the pictures show one. Still, was happy. Until we went to bed around midnight and found our sheets covered in blood (neither of us were bleeding, checked multiple times) Called front desk to be greeted by a rude woman who brought up sheets for myself to change (at midnight, no blanket, no pillow cases). Proceeded to go down and ask for refund, same rude lady yelled at me, told me shes not doing anything for me because this is her last day, shes quitting. Drove the half hour home instead of dealing with changing sheets or packing up and moving rooms so late at night.
This courtyard needs attention. The elevators are dirty, ragged and loud. The TV streaming services didn’t work. Hot tub didn’t work. Bar still not open even though the covid restrictions in the state have relaxed. Layout of the whole place is old. And on top of that had to pay top dollar because of events in town!
Overall the hotel was comfortable. Our primary complaint is the breakfast. The breakfast did not open til after 8 one day and there was no option on Monday. We stayed due to a local hockey tournament and being from out of town, we rely on continental breakfasts when games are early.
First and foremost, I am a loyal Marriott member. Mostly, I am very happy to stay at Marriott enterprises and thats why I choose the Courtyard at Rochester. All of these complaints I surfaced to the GM and front desk personnel.CleanlinessToilet had stains, I cleaned it myself. The obvious toilet issue caused me to clean ALL touch points in the room with disinfectant wipes. The tub was dirty, I cleaned that too.The carpet needed to be vacuumed and it smelled. I raised the issue several times. I also purchased a Febreeze product and used that. The carpet needs a good cleaning. The AC/Heater unit cover kept falling off, I told GM about this. Also the toilet seat is damaged, also told GM about this.GM was cordial and apologetic, offered me a free day. The front desk people were very good and friendly. The most significant issue is not having enough workers to clean regularly. I feel that once per week is really not enough. I will fight the urge to not use Marriott as my go to lodging, but this trip/visit was simply below the Marriott standard.I used the laundry facility and found the washer and dryer to be in good working condition. Sadly, cleanliness was again an issue. I wiped out the washer and dryer with disinfectant wipes and cleaned all the touch points. The floor needed sweeping and mopping.
Do not stay at Marriott especially during pandemic. No housekeeping services and no supplies yet charging full price. There are many many other choices in the area. No housekeeping services and they dont tell you before check-in so there is absolutely no reason to stay at a hotel when airbnb would be cheaper. Housekeeping is the main advantage of a hotel over home rental. the least Marriott could do is offer a discount.
The hotel is a great stay only if you do not plan on being in the room for long periods of time. the hotel is not up to date at all. The room I stayed in, I was woken up to the sink bubbling and backing up with water. After trying to be accommodated to another room because of the clear plumbing issue the hotel staff completely disregarded me. (They don’t know how to deal with upset guest who are not satisfied with their rooms) I was a bit upset because I thought it would be basic hospitality to accommodate people to a new room especially for a plumbing issue out of the guests control but their staff wouldn’t budge and did not want to give me another room and I still had one night to stay. I just packed my things and left. The water in the shower also does not get hot, it’s stays warm if you know what I mean. Just overall 2 stars if that. I’m glad some of you other guest were able to have great stays here as I was not given that opportunity to do so!
We booked a weekend special package over Labor Day that was supposed to include a bottle of wine and daily breakfast vouchers. At check in no one had ever heard of that particular online promotion package, and had no way how to check the reservation system for details in order to accommodate the online offer. We didnt receive anything that was to be included with the reservation. Plus, the on site restaurant wasnt even open on Monday so the breakfast vouchers should not have been part of the promotion in the first place. Also, there were pieces of plastic corner edging that kept falling off of the walls, I took it one to the front desk at checkout. And there was some sort of staining on the walls behind and around the TV.I dont fault the front desk for the problems with checking for online offers, that information should be made clear and easily accessible for all service personnel by the booking and reservation system. There is a clear problem with management, not staffing.
Very average place. I stay at a lot of Marriott properties and this one seemed very basic. My room was a little run down looking. The amenities in the lobby were sparse no snacks, barely any water and very mediocre coffee. The staff was hit and miss too. Some were nice and some had zero personality. I would pick another property next time.
I would avoid this Marriott until they are fully staffed again. No hot water 3 days in a row, no garbage pickup from the hallway. The staff is overworked, and it shows. The staff they do have are helpful. The rooms are ok, just ok. I expect more from Marriott and will not be staying here again.
Great stay! The room temperature was never really comfortable, it was either too hot or too cold, but overall I was very pleased with the cleanliness and the great staff!Oh, and I wish there was a microwave in the room, but there was one in the lobby we could use anytime.
Typically, a hotel that delivers just an average experience isnt a good thing but when its offered at a budget price it becomes my go-too place to stay. On top of that the hotel was quiet, clean, and welcoming. The staff couldnt have been better. We will stay there again for sure.
This hotel was so gross. After checking in, we found someones undergarments hanging on the bathroom door. When we told the staff about this, they didnt care. They said that it was mistaken as a towel. First of all, even if were a towel, is it normal to leave used towels in a room? Second of all, the undergarments were black in color. Since when have the towels been black? Additionally, we had other family members stay in other rooms during our stay. They complained of the shower not draining and also how dirty and grungy everything was.
Terrible service compared to last year. Anything we needed they ask to shlep through whole hotel to front desk to get it.. Door slamming all night long in room 133 switch if they put you there. People smoking and cigarette buds by door.. Front desk people missing - waited for half hr to get extra a bar of soap. Stayed 3 days. Got 1 small container of shampoo. This place got really cheap and rundown, liked it before. Would not recommend or stay here again.
We stayed for 5 days. No housekeeping service. Had to go to the front desk to get towels soap and toilet paper. Trash not emptied. Only decaf coffee available (they were waiting for a shipment )which I didn’t notice until mid afternoon when my caffeine headache kicked in. Thin walls. Could hear everything in the hall. Room dated and musty.
This was the dirtiest Marriott property I have ever stayed at. After traveling for 12 hours my daughter and I just wanted a clean comfortable room. The beds looked clean and my daughter climbed in and went to sleep before we saw the rest or we would have asked to move rooms. We found filthy unvacuumed carpet in the room. There different types of body hair on the bathroom floor and in the tub! There were cracker crumbs around the nightstand and on the floor next to the bed. There was even a blood stain on the door frame into the bathroom. There was no remote for the TV and we were only given one bath towel and two hand towels. There was supposed to be coffee in the room but there wasn’t. I was able to get some at the front desk.
Overall our stay was mediocre at best. It was difficult to get basic amenities including: clean towels, pool access, coffee, or a location to take out garbage. I understand that in some locations that covid protocols are still in place but then there needs to be opportunities for dirty towel drop off, clean towel pick up, and garbage dumping.
When I booked the room and paid an advance of $1800 for two weeks the hotel never said there was going to be limited housekeeping for once every 7 days. The operations manager initially told me that there will be housekeeping services provided only upon request after a weeK. The general manager fortunately intervened and now my room is cleaned every 2 to 3 days. But customers need to be aware of the difficulties and need to enquire about housekeeping before booking. Its a nice property. But the corridors, walls etc are a bit jaded. It needs more maintenance and regular cleaning and vaccumming.
Please note. This hotel is NOT servicing their rooms! First night we had to request clean bedding. No cleaning after the previous guest ! Same story the next night. Only then are we told they are not servicing the rooms. Charging us full rates! Wow! And blaming vivid restrictions!!! Just horrifying
The view in the bayside rooms is absolutely breathtaking! The location is perfect! .... but if you are going to visit, do so during the fall or winter months. Sadly the room got to over 80 degrees during the day and the air conditioner unit broke down, so we had to close the curtains on what should have been a stellar view for the better part of most days. Also, the kids that were working at the only place inside with food - a pseudo Starbucks - were young and slow. They even had a dog visit that jumped up and put his feet on the counter where they were petting it. They never wiped down the surface after it left either. Covid is one thing, but I would never allow anyones feet on a business counter that serves food.
I recommend Courtyard Rochester Brighton because the staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. It is a fabulous place to stay when in the Rochester area. I give it a five-star rating. The only issue I had was with the sparsity of the foodservice, although the hotel is within walking distance of several eating establishments.
Positive: Convenient location Negative: Service horrible, our room was not clean, they moved us to another, forgot to note the change, our keys kept not working AND someone walked into our room with his key! Coffee machine didnt work, phone did not work, found a contactlens adhered to counte
Website and signs state that hotel is a non smoking hotel as well as rooms, Smelled Marajuana and Ciggerette smoke all through the hallways. Front desk staff was not whag customer service experience should be like. When talking to any Customer Service Rep. You should feel invited and calming that if your request will be looked at and taken care of if it is in the means of them to do so. I coukdnt get more towels for my roim, a change of sheets after spilling water on them, there was no trashcan liners in the room. The room had debry left under the bed, the toilet leaks on the floor from the bottom seal, The remote for TV was sticky, The towel feel like sand paper. I will never return to your establishment and will never recommend your establishment to anyone I know. All in all terrible experience on what was suplosed to be a special day. The so calles breakfast that was supposed to be from 6-10a as stated by front desk worker was false, they breakfast isnt even an option.
The room was clean but there were little things that kept me from enjoying my stay. Broken microwave that couldn’t be replaced because it was the weekend. TV was unplugged, had to call front desk to have them move the bureau away from the wall. Several other annoying little things.
I stayed at this hotel as my reservation at another hotel was delayed. This hotel was very clean and the room was spacious. The bathroom was also clean and the room was quiet. The staff at the hotel was very kind and the hotel was close to a couple of good restaurants. I’ll definitely be back here.
Very clean and comfortable stay at this hotel. The staff is some of the friendliest and most accommodating I have ever met. Rooms were clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Pool and hot tub were nice for relaxing. Ate at the Bistro and the food and service were great! Had breakfast in the lobby in the morning. Everything was delicious! Would stay here again!
The location and cleanliness were great. While they we had to repeatedly ask for towels and they werent always available which was disappointing since they werent at full capacity. In addition, the website advertises the bar/bistro area but we never saw anyone working there.
We stayed at the Marriott Courtyard Brighton for a States sports competition at the Rochester Institute of Technology. It was a ten-minute drive from RIT, so pretty convenient. We stayed in the 1-bedroom suite and the room was spacious and comfortable at a reasonable price. Room was well-appointed with updated decor. There was TV in the living room area as well as the bedroom, which is nice when traveling with a family. The bathroom was clean, but small. The sink area was outside the bathroom with little to no counter space to store toiletries. We used the pool and hot tub and both were well-maintained and clean. Clean towels were available in the pool area, which was convenient. A few restaurants were within walking distance from hotel for dinner. Lobby area was updated with plenty of seating to eat or hang out. There was a sundries shop where you could also purchase snacks/quick foods and a cafe-type counter to purchase quick on-the-go breakfast foods and coffee. We werent looking for a hot breakfast, but I assume they offered it as well. One thing to note, most hotels in the Rochester area I searched offered free breakfast, which is economical if traveling with a family. I assume since this Marriott was located in a business park it may primarily cater to business travelers, so it makes sense that their business model does not include free breakfast.
Furnace cover was off and on the floor, would not stay on, when I called the front desk took me 3 tries to get someone. They said no one was available to fix it. Low on toilet paper, called front desk told us we had to go up and get it. Mold was on the bathroom ceiling. Toilet was leaking water on the floor. Dinning was not available n coffee was charged to our room. Pool was booked full prior to our arrival.
This hotel had everything to meet our needs for an enjoyable weekend. The pool and courtyard area were clean and attractive and easily accessible. The lobby was spacious and pleasant, the room was clean and spacious. We had a balcony we enjoyed that looked over the lovely courtyard. The food was excellent. The staff was quite young but very nice and pleasant. We will go back to this place!!
This is one of the worst Courtyards that we ever stayed. The hotel shows its age. It is very old, worn-out and outdated. Rooms are very small. Even though there were very few guests due to Covid-19, the hotel was extremely noisy at night due to poor sound insulation. The air-conditioning only adds to the noise.I am Titanium Elite and the hotel staff showed zero appreciation of loyalty, which is typical of Marriott properties in the U.S.A.We are happy to cross this hotel off our list.
Enjoyed the lovely courtyard on 1st floor but noise from hallway was somewhat annoying as people headed to/from lobby or pool. Small room but most comfortable bed I’ve stayed in at a hotel recently. Staff were polite but not very friendly- perhaps a NY quality? Added the breakfast and that was a great treat and so much better than a “free” breakfast of cereal and waffles and old muffins. Loved the breakfast sandwiches and the bistro staff were friendly. Will return and ask for a different room location.
The hotel is nice clean neat. Its in the perfect location for Rochester for all your needs right in the middle of town. The price is on point and inexpensive. The housekeeping staff was wonderful and always did a fantastic job made you feel at home. The reception desk could use some improvements when it came to customer service but that was it. Had a wonderful stay!
Avoid this hotel unless you intend to film an adult movie or want to listen to someone else doing it. Monday night, had to call multiple times as the rooms on either side were loud well past midnight. Shared my concerns with the front desk on Tuesday and they asked if I wanted to move. Because, that’s the right thing to do...make the person who is minding their own business move on account of people that are most likely violating several hotel policies.I’m an Ambassador Elite and have never mentioned that before...but I explained that they should probably avoid placing rooms side by side when the hotel is only at 30% capacity. I told the staff I expected to see the problem resolved. Guess what? Up at 3am to the sounds of the bed next door hitting the wall.Do not bother. This place is average at best, but the clientele and service are terrible.
On the plus side, the rooms are very clean and the staff is incredibly friendly and receptive. Also, additional towels were delivered to my room, which was a nice touch. Also, the wall thermostats work great.Negatives include room size. Mine, which was King-sized, was exceedingly....small. It definitely did not resemble a suite in any way. Lack of a true breakfast place (replaced by some kind of mini-bistro) is made up for the fact that there are plenty of nearby eateries in the area.Worst was the fact that my room was across from an elevator which was very squeaky. But overall a very nice visit and I would visit again.
In town for a stressful healthcare visit. Felt welcomed and cared for by an exceptional staff and the facility could not have been better maintained. In a time of stressful travel, I always feel safe at a Marriott.Thank you for making a difficult time somewhat easier.
Clean facility, friendly staff, reception is very efficient, easy check in and out. Would have preferred buffet style breakfast, afternoon snack preparation took forever, my friends order had to be remade as it was not prepared as he requested it. Bathroom sink countertop area is too small (otherwise very nice and very clean). For 1 night stay is ok, would drive me crazy if I had to deal with it for several days..
From the minute u walk in... it’s a beautiful, welcoming lobby with a lovely, friendly & Covid conscious desk attendant. Smells CLEAN & ODORLESS, from walk through the hallways, inside elevator & into room! Such a pleasure to have a nice-looking room with a clean bathroom I will shower in!!! I also found a decent rate. My last 2 overnights to pick up son from college, I tried to go cheap... NOT WORTH IT!!! Last 2 Wyndams had ODOR issues with concrete-painted-looking(?) walls in rooms with creepy bathrooms needing a carpenter’s care. Not worth it. You can’t go wrong with a Marriot! Especially this one! Enjoy it!!!
Stayed on a Friday night. The room was nicely furnished. The property is large and spread out, the location of the elevators not well marked. Be sure to ask when checking in the best entry door to use, there are several. This is the only reason I gave the hotel a good rating instead of excellent. Business Center area was very nice and no issues with Internet. The area was very quiet, but there are some places to dine within walking distance.
The hotel was being renovated which could have made it noisy and messy, but not so. The renovation didnt interfere with getting around or activities. The room was comfortable and clean. It was very snowy with salt everywhere outside, yet somehow the staff kept it clean, especially in our room. Also, the front staff was very accommodating--we had to extend our stay because of a hospitalization and the staff gave us the hospital rate which was lower than the typical weekday rate. Nice customer service! Breakfast was fine--not fancy--but perfect for us. Healthy and fast.
Great service from arrival to departure with convenient workout room (albeit a basic one) and small pool to relax in. Breakfast was reasonably priced and tasty. Rooms are comfortable - just be aware the parking area is not covered so if it snows you may need to allow a few extra minutes to sort that out.
For the past 7 years we have frequently stayed at this hotel when visiting family. We have always enjoyed our stay. We appreciate the comfortable bed, nice decor and grounds, heated indoor pool and fitness room, excellent location to restaurants and shops, good food and service and friendly staff. The hotel has been recently redecorated and the grounds are nice; in warm weather you can enjoy the outdoor patio. The breakfasts are prepared fresh and the menu is varied. Service at the Bistro and at the front desk is excellent. A great place to stay!
I really enjoyed our stay. One of the best stays we have had in a while compared to other hotels. From the parking lot to the room, everything was clean and well maintained. Staff was exceedingly helpful, professional and personable. Room was comfortable and clean. I will definitely prefer courtyard on future trips.
As a Marriott titanium member this is not my first stay at a courtyard. While I don’t have the ability to post pictures in this review, suffice it to say the room I stayed in last evening was NOT cleaned....We entered to room to be welcomed by a muddy handprint on the wall...turn the corner to see pink balloon stems still taped to ceiling and walls. Pink paint smears on walls and in the shower (clearly a gender reveal party happened the night before - congrats apparently it was a girl)....shame on me for not asking for a new room, but we ignored and went to sleep. The following morning I awake to my wife sharing that we can’t take a shower as the spigot thermometer is broke and the water only comes out at scalding hot and can’t be adjusted. Frustrated, we decide to get dressed, pack-up and leave. We stop at front desk to share the pictures of our “cleaned “ room (during a pandemic). The the bistro manager - Dan Miller was working the front desk. He half listened and flippantly said “thanks for feedback”. A bit bothered by the brush off, I asked to speak with the manager - THIS PART I CANT MAKE UP . Dan’s response was “why, there is nothing he will say that I can’t.” I reiterated my desire to speak with manger. He said he’s cleaning rooms it will be a while. I said ok, I will wait. The response “you do what you feel you have to.” After 10 minutes of waiting, I wrote down my cell on a post it and asked to have the manager to call me. Not surprisingly never received a return phone call. There is a reason there were only 4 cars in the parking lot. Strongly suggest you think twice before staying here.
Great place, nice front staff, great cleanliness, good on food, decor is excellent, mattresses are top notch as well as are the pillows. They sell them through the chain and using the bedding in the rooms is the best advertisement as the nights here we’re some of the best nights sleep I’ve had in years! Way to go Marriott! Rooms were spacious and pretty good for noise resistant too. A very nice stay.
This hotel meets the high standards of Marriott properties. The staff is excellent from top to bottom. The hotel is undergoing some lobby renovations, which are being done with little or no inconvenience to the guests. The rooms are functional and nicely decorated. The internet was easy to access, and fast and reliable.Special praise for housekeeping and the desk staff, who perform exceptionally well in their duties.Having stayed at other places, I think this is probably the best hotel in Rochester. I always try to stay here when in town.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating from start to finish. Fast internet. The decor and lobby amenities were modern, clean and gave a very warm and welcoming feel. So much so, we opted to eat dinner in the lobby, which felt more like a living room. Seems everyone hangs out there anyway. The location is right off the highway, so very accessible. Also has a 24hr Diner around the corner with good food. Would definitely stay again.
We were in town for a wedding. We had adjoining rooms - one with a King and one with two double beds. Everything was clean, comfortable and up to date. The lobby featured a part-time area with coffee and food in addition to an area off of the front desk where you could buy incidentals. The staff was friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff were quick and efficient. If I could change anything I would include free breakfast and I would change the double beds to queen-size beds. However, it was a great place to stay convenient to shops, restaurants and the airport.
This is a value hotel and it fits that profile with clean, safe rooms at reasonable prices. There isnt room service or other amenities youd expect at a higher quality hotels, but it is a notch nicer than other value hotels from my experience. It has most of the basics with a decent bistro/bar, fitness center, pool, internet, decent lobby for hanging out. It does lack some things - no water in the rooms, bistro/ bar hours are very limited in the evenings (closes at 10), very limited dining options, no room service. I personally find the beds uncomfortable because the cushion under the fitted sheet never seems to stay in place so I was constantly re-making the bed in the middle of the night. All in all, I would recommend this as a good value hotel if youre looking for a basic, no frills hotel with a clean room at a reasonable price.
This hotel is conveniently located and staff were friendly upon check-in. Many the rooms are small but adequate. This hotel is a little older and some of the rooms seem to be showing wear. The food items were fresh and prepared nicely and the lobby area has connectivity to print boarding passes, so overall pleasant visit with no major surprises.
The hotel is a great location for going to malls and restaurants, it was in close proximity to the strong museum. The rooms were comfortable but the heater a bit loud. The pool was nice and clean but water too cold, the hot tub whirlpool jets were way too slow barely could tell they were on. The staff was nice and friendly and informative, however not getting a free breakfast in the morning was a draw back for me and a deal breaker, if I had known we were not getting breakfast I would have stayed at another Marriott location that offered it.
Hotel was conveniently located along the way of our travels, and not far from the highway. Check in staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Went above and beyond to assist us when needed. Hotel is very clean. The lobby and bar area were very well kept and clean. My husband saw the indoor pool and was very impressed by it. We did not use it, however, he commented on how nice and clean it is. Room was clean and it was a very comfortable stay.
Great hotel, absolute no complaints. The lobby was beautiful and casual, very relaxing decor. They had an in house cafe food place sort of thing, and although the food was a little expensive, this should be expected of all hotels, and it was good food besides. The bathroom and beds were very clean, there was complimentary coffee and tea in the room, which is amazing because typically hotels leave that stuff out but then charge you if you use it. The pool and jaccuzi was very fun, there were a handful of others in there with me and my friends but they were asrespectful as us, and we had no complaints. There was also a fitness room with a treadmill and weights to lift, among other things. The rooms for social gatherings were also perfect for the event I attended, not too big not too small for around 15 people. All in all, I have no complaints and my experience was only positive. I would recommend this hotel to families who would enjoy from the pool during their stay, but its not necessary.
Excellent service and customer options. I love the hypo-allergenic room, comfortable pillow-top bed, and suspendable maid service thoughout the stay. All of the associates were extremely friendly with a greeting and a smile (excellent customer service training). The furniture was clean modern and comfortable. I like the king bed, loveseat combo. I like the ability to open a window/scren door. Exceptional quiet rest with no disturbances. I felt right at home. Starbucks is an excellent breakfast choice. I also like the personal products stocked for the bathroom.
Agreed with all the reviews. Rooms and bathroom were small but very clean. The hotel itself is otherwise very nice. Small business center perfect for last minute printing of tickets you forgot to print at home (oops). Side entrance near the elevators too the parking lot so you can go straight there than going through the lobby. Staff was friendly. Beds felt a little small but they were comfortable. Stayed for one night but would definitely stay again if the need arises.
The rooms themselves are pretty good. The beds are comfortable and clean and the bathrooms are nice. The couches in the room are incredibly uncomfortable. The pool/spa area is nice, but is often full of adults drinking alcohol while their children scream at the top of their lungs and bother other guests. This screaming can often be heard down the halls and management does not seem to care
Nice, clean hotel. Had tea available the first two days, but they didnt replenish it the second morning. I dont drink coffee, so that was disappointing. And they hang signs about not washing towels unless on the floor to be green, but appear to replace the towels everyday anyway. But overall, a good stay.
After staying at Marriot Courtyard Brighton for 4 nights in a row my flight out of ROC was delayed due to electric storms in ORD. So I called them back to get a room, relayed my patronage to Matt who spoke his name unintelligibly. I hope thats his name. Matt said sorry were full and said goodbye. No additional assistance... no forward thinking about how to get me a room at their several other locations in Rochester. After I advocate for a little more service he gives me a 1800# whereby Im asked 3X by a bot before I put you through please answer this brief question. The last question being a survey! When I finally make it through the blockades the hold time is 26 minutes. This hotel is located at 33 Corporate woods Dr. for a reason. Its corporate. Watch out for their elevator carpets that hold coffee stains and build-up from months of neglect. Refund my tip for the cleaner!
I love the staff here, they really are the best. My only complaint is the menu, as someone who stays at a courtyard often, it gets old very, very quickly. The folks at Marriott need to realize that if you want business people who stay in your hotel to eat in the hotel, you need change the menu up some.
A quick one stay. I was worried at first because there was a large group of young boys there for a hockey tournament. It was a fairly rambunctious crowd when we checked in. However the hotel gave us a room away from most of the crowd and even had signs in the halls that evening asking for quiet. They seemed to have worked as it was a quiet evening at the hotel.
The Marriott Courtyard in Brighton was as nice as the photos on the website show. We had a good size room with a sofa and loved the King size comfy bed. The pool was large and we enjoyed the hot tub too. Everything was clean and the staff were friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here. The few extra dollars it might cost is well worth it.
The hotel had just gone through renovations and looked amazing. Everything was up to date and extremely clean, you could even smell how clean it was. The staff was so friendly and accommodating to every guest that walked in the door. It was more like going over to a friends house rather than staying at your average hotel.
The hotel was nice and clean. The staff were polite. The only two problem we had were that the booked Queen beds were not queen but full sized. Not comfortable at all. Also, the AC/heater unit did not have a fan setting, so during the night the AC kept turning on/off.
The location is great and close to everything you need. The staff is extremely friendly and they have a very nice bar/bistro. The rooms are not as nice as other courtyard locations. They are smaller, and laid out awkwardly. They have a fairly small gym on site, but do offer complimentary gym visits to a local full size gym.
Very nice in appearance.. modern.. clean rooms.. nice staffwould like to see coffee shop staffed and open all the time, so you dont have to wait for them to come over from front desk. and coffee should be available in the conference rooms so that we dont have to leave the room to get some and miss out on what it was we were there for. It seemed a little like we were interrupting them if we needed coffee or something else outside of the regular shop hours.pricey rooms
Pretty impressed with the neatness and stellar service of the staff. The small bistro in the hotel cooked some good food as well. Only complaint I had was that I entered into the courtyard via the pool area and had a difficult time getting back into the hotel (most of the doors didnt open, and it wasnt obvious how to open the door).
We stayed at this hotel over Easter for 3 nights and everything was wonderful. We had a room with a roll in shower, ate dinner and breafast there, and used their pool facilities. My only issue was the jets didnt work on their hot tub by the pool. When I told them at the desk I was told well their old. So they were very aware of the issue but didnt even care. My suggestion is if you know something is broken and dont care about fixing it, then dont advertise you have it.
We stayed here while attending a admitted student preview days at SUNY Geneseo. While it was @1/2 hour away, our stay was very pleasant. Room was clean. Bedding and bathroom were fresh. Front desk staff were very polite accommodating when we requested extra toiletries. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
The hotel had a warm welcome home feeling. The staff was always curtious and the hotel was very nice. The room was well maintained and seemed to have just gone under renovation. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone that wants a great experience at an affordable price!! :)
The hotel it’s self is functional, I would say average to just above average of all the hotels I’ve stayed at. They staff is exceptional, one of; if not the best I’ve had the experience of interacting with. The location meets my needs, but if you do not have a car, there is not a lot within walking distance from the hotel, and the shuttle service only takes you from the hotel to the airport and back. Its clean, well maintained. The Bistro gets old eating at over time, I would like to see more menu items added. Each of the rooms seems to have a refrigerator to store fool in.
As a contractor, I travel a lot for work. The Marriott Courtyard has been my home away from home for the past 6 months and it has been a wonderful experience. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable, the food is good, and the amenities wonderful. However, it has been the professional and courteous staff that has truly made my stays seem more like visiting friends, rather than traveling for business. Keep up the great work!
The first room I had a terrible smell that I eventually identified was an old throw up stain underneath the bathroom sink. Apparently the cleaning staff didn’t thoroughly clean it. After a few calls and going downstairs to the reception, I received a new room. The smell was horrible. The new room smelled fine and was cleaned properly.
I like the hotel location and the room decor, but the bed and sheets need help. The bed needs to be replaced the side would just bottom out when sitting down on the bed, it was only okay to sleep on, and kind of had a person dent on my side (by the bathroom). The sheets were scratchy, not soft or smooth at all, they felt very cheap and not what I would expect in this price range. I also saw an ant in our room, which is kinda miraculous considering the carpets is varying shades of dark grey.
We stayed at the Courtyard where there was no cleaning service. I called the front desk to ask what changes we needed to expect due to covid and I was told pool service and food service was limited but everything else was the same. I wish I was told there was no cleaning service so I could Hansen prepared.
My son goes to school nearby, so I stay at this location a few times a year. Never fails to surpass. Nice, warm, welcoming and cheery staff after a six-hour drive from Manhattan was soooo appreciated. Lovely grounds, comfortable, large room. Always a pleasure staying at the Courtyard Rochester Brighton.
The elevator floor and door were dirty our whole stay, the same garbage that was on the ground the first day stayed the whole time along with splashes of stuff on the door, not sure what it was. the sheets were terrible on the bed and would not stay on the mattress, we complained to the front desk but it never changed. Had to sleep on top of the bed our last night. We travel light and rely on the shampoo and conditioner that they provide so I dont have to pack any. When housekeeping cleaned our room, it looked like only the bed had been made, got up early the next day to go sightseeing and no shampoo to shower with.
Amazing hotel. Great courtyard rooms. Hot tub and heated pool. The bar tender Katie is amazing and so personable. Definitely will be back to visit again. Thank you Katie for an amazing experience. First week of work and you are doing amazing. You are beautiful and have a beautiful soul to you. Thank you.
Stayed 3 nights in August, 2014. Great location for visiting the area and not far from the Finger Lakes. Easy access to I-390. Rooms very clean with high quality TV and HD channels. Pool a bit cool, but awesome whirlpool!!! Very friendly staff at front desk. Would recommend this property to anyone!! Thanks for a great stay.
They said they except CLC … when I get here they run the card and tell me they realize they don’t except it… I still ask them if they can hold a room for me they told me no because I had to get my company card release…. I come back in the room is gone the lady tells me oh we sold out… they know who I am they referred to me oh you’re the truck driver…And they don’t care about hospitality they just want the money Fill up the rooms and that’s it…And apparently the people around me were complaining about how the room smell and the rooms are still dirty… frustrated dissatisfied just expect a hassle
The king suite was heaven on earth! The beds were wonderful. The two bathrooms were clean ~ perfect for a family of 5. We all felt refreshed after our night of rest. Breakfast was WONDERFUL. A MUST for all to try. Everything was cooked to perfection and FAST. Best eggs, bacon, toast and fruit cup that I have had in a long time! We will make a point to come back.
Nice hip/modern hotel. Very clean with amazingly friendly staff. Very happy and welcoming. The Bistro has some great options, with more helpful staff, and their small market in the lobby is full of lots of food/beverage options (I was shocked). A couple of restaurants within walking distance and very close proximity to the highways. Plus, the Paul Mitchell shampoo/conditioner saved my life, because I forgot my shampoo/conditioner.
Horrible front desk service from the hotel supervisor. She has no customer service skills. Reservation confirmed we had a king bed with sofa bed and got to room and only had king bed and a chair. Called front desk and supervisor said that our reservation didnt show that, went back done to front desk to show her the e-mail that confirmed the room with king bed and sofa bed, and she said thats not guaranteed. Our reservation was made months ago and it was for 3 people. She said the best they could do was give us a twin roll-away bed. I said well then you should give us a discount, and her response was No, were not going to do that.Didnt have a choice in booking this hotel as it was for a hockey tournament, but if I had a choice I wouldnt stay here again, based solely on the service, or lack there of.
Staff was rude , service was not good and not worth your money. We had been promised to provide extra bed before we booked later they denied and staff was rude and not willing to help . Everythime they had no staff except a receptionist thats what they told us. Not worthy
Quiet industrial park location not far from the highway but no outside noise. The front desk staff was welcoming and helpful & we were able to check in early. Lobby is clean & attractively decorated, with many cozy seating areas, work stations, and a fireplace. Our room was comfortably furnished, if a little on the small side. It appeared clean, but the sliding glass door to the balcony desperately needed some attention with Windex. Also, my son found a stray sock & a dropped pill under the edge of his bed. The sink/vanity location separate from the toilet/shower was convenient for my son & I but the inner area needs a fan. Housekeeping came by daily & was attentive to our needs & requests.Clunking/banging from the adjacent room was quite annoying at times! I dont know if its an issue of too thin walls, inconsiderate neighbors or both, but while lying in bed, the wall & headboard behind me would occasionally make a startling jolt with audible noise as if someone had slammed something shut that touches the other side of the wall. I could also hear drawers being pulled open on loud rollers then slammed shut. The pool & hot tub were a delight! Clean, comfortable temperature and well-stocked with towels any time we went to use them. The long hours of operation were appreciated!I would strongly prefer to see the seemingly underused multi-purpose Bistro/Starbucks/cocktail lounge traded for a complimentary breakfast buffet and 24/7 coffee service. I dont think I saw anyone having a meal there once during our entire visit, and at $10 plus per person for breakfast, I understand why. With the mini fridge in our room, we breakfasted ensuite. Would have also liked a small microwave in the room.Overall, a very pleasant stay, but next time will seek out accommodations with complimentary breakfast.
Honestly, I cant really complain about this hotel and that says alot coming from a pessimistic person. As soon as my family and I walked in we were taken back by how beautiful the lobby was designed and decorated. The staff was highly informed and prepared for any questions we had. The room was spacious and comfortable (two beds and a pop up pen for our family of 4 which includes a toddler, and every one still felt like we had our own space ).Between the comfortable beds and pull curtains that shaded the windows from letting any light in the room, we had an amazing nights sleep. In fact we woke up much later than we were aiming for, so Id suggest anyone reading this for insight, set an alarm! Breakfast was great. The delivery and layout of food on our plates was like being at high end restaurant despite the few employees they had operating it.The only thing that kept me from rating the hotel a 5 Star is the pool. For the amount of rooms the hotel holds it has by far the smallest pool I have ever encountered in my travels. Not only was the pool very small but it operates without any lifeguard to watch over it and maintain order. Our pool experience felt more like survival than a fun experience. Children were every where jumping in from every where with no consideration for their safety or safery of other. The parents with toddlers in the pool got in and left within minutes. My wife and I had our toddler prisoner in the corner guarding her from the chaos just so she could enjoy what she could of the water. Our eight year old never left our side. I think if anything, this is something the hotel should take into consideration. We left the pool very surprised only one injury took place.
Stay was good overall. I stayed two nights. The one day I would have had my room serviced, they skipped my room. I didnt have the door hanger out (that seemed to be the go-to excuse). Brianna at the desk did get someone to come and change out the towels though when I said something. I was also told (lied to?) there were no upgrades available even though I was able to book and cancel a suite online for the entire duration of my stay (again).
I was in the ER with my daughter, and didnt call until midnight. Nelle told me she had 1 room left. I told her I wanted it, but didnt know when I would be leaving the hospital, maybe 3 am. She agreed to hold it for me, and didnt ask me for any info, credit card, etc, which was great, because I was away from my purse looking for cell service. ER was unruly and noisy. When I got to the Courtyard, Nelle was the nicest and most cheerful person I had seen all day. And that was at 3 am or so. Great customer service from this warm employee. It was wonderful to have the Bistro available in the morning for Starbucks coffee and a healthy gluten free breakfast to go, for both me and my daughter in the hospital. Again, employees were friendly and helpful, and it was almost time for them to end breakfast service. I ordered eggs, and the employee came back to tell me it would be a few minutes wait because the cook wanted to make fresh potatoes. I said I was in a hurry, so just leave them off. She suggested replacing them with fresh fruit cups, which I actually prefer, but wouldnt have thought to ask.The University of Rochesters Medicine of the Highest Order should take customer service lessons from you folks.Everything about the room was clean and comfortable, but its the people, food and coffee that make it memorable.
We went to the hotel with a total of 9 families with over 9 little boys that were going to be wrestling. The staff were understanding about the boys energy levels. They were wonderful. The pool and hot tub were a hit for the little boys. The weight room was great for the older boys. Will return next year.
The stay was fine. It was quick and we did not use the hotel amenities. We normally stay where there is a free breakfast, but we were in a hurry anyway and didnt have time to visit the restaurant. Room was ok, beds were a bit uncomfortable compared to comparable places weve stayed, but all in all it was fine.
The check in process was very disappointing. The manager was unwilling to facilitate a proper room change when a significant room security issue was pointed out to him. The hallways were inundated with cigarette smoke and the front office staff was hesitant to investigate and solve the issue. The supervisor was also unwilling to assist when presented with an issue. Her resolve was that you can go to another hotel. I found that to be very rude and not the Marriott way of doing business. Very disappointed with the staff of this property.
Room stinks....musty, moldy. Carpet feels damp everywhere. Air condition unit falling apart. Bathtub doesnt drain. Wall has water damage, which probably explains the smell. Im highly allergic to mold and hope I dont wake up feeling awful. Beds have stains on sheets and stairway smells like someone smokes in it on a regular basis and tries to cover it up. Very, very disappointed! We have been staying at Marriott properties every night for the past 9 nights and have always had very nice accommodations until tonight. Marriott should definitely disown this property in Rochester.
Always an enjoyable stay. Staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The lobby bar area is very attractive but the rooms are a little boring although a good size with most things you will ever need. You will also find the best barman in the state called George.
This hotel has everything you need - Comfortable beds, in-house bistro with food that you can actually enjoy, a balcony for nice relaxing place to read a book or just enjoy the view. Proximity is close to everything but tucked far enough away from any noisy traffic. Check in staff was fast and efficient not too mention extremely pleasant.
The hotel staff was very helpful and brought items to my room (toothbrush, razor) that I forgot. They delivered them quick and it was great to not have to redress and go to the lobby. I did not get breakfast at the hotel this trip, but I often find Courtyards take awhile to get breakfast/coffee because everyone is in line at the same time.
I installed the Marriott app and checked in online the day before I arrived. As I was planning to get to Rochester several hours before the official check-in time, I was pleasantly surprised when I received notification that my room was ready at 11am that morning. The hotel is older, but adequate. My room was clean and quiet. I was on the first floor (there are three floors), and I could occasionally hear footsteps in the room above me. The free hotel wifi wasnt laggy and I was able to use without problem. The hotel has a nice indoor pool and fitness center, both of which were clean and met my needs. The hotel is also close to shopping and restaurants and there is a coffee shop in the lobby.
I wish I went to another location. The staff was nice enough but when I was bitten by something my first night, they offered little to no help. Even worse, once I contacted corporate, they were no help as well. If you can go with an exterminator or spray prior to and spray your bed down, you should be fine. I’ve been so itchy since leaving and they’re telling me there is no compensation. I wish I didn’t stay there at all. Good luck to you if you do. Check your bed before going to sleep just in case because if you get bitten, they don’t do much for you.
I liked staying at the Courtyard Rochester Brighton because the layout of the room is very practical and the refrigerator and Microwave were very welcome. What I like the most is the bistro. Many hotels are located a car ride away from any kind of refreshment, and chips and candy sitting on a shelf dont do it for me. The Courtyard has a bistro with a variety of fresh food. Our breakfast was as good as home made.
The front desk associate was very patient and accommodating when I asked her if they had any rooms with two beds for the same rate as the single room that I had already booked. She was able to locate one which allowed my family to rest comfortably that night before a 6 hour road trip.
When you leave without complaint of any sort, youve had a good stay. The mattress was worthy of taking home, the staff was courteous, responsive and efficient and the food and beverage selections were sufficient but tasty. If you want comfort and satisfaction, this site delivers!
Very disappointed when staying. There was no continental breakfast. My shower had low water pressure. The tub drained slowly. The air conditioner sounded like a bomb going off when kicking on in the middle of the night. The bed was comfortable. The hotel was easily accessible.
Clean from bedroom to bath area, sink/tub, well organized room with soft towels and sheets. Great internet. Lights for bed reading or at desk for keeping track of home or school/work needs. More desk space than average room as had a separate table plus desk. Service and food at Bistro in hotel was excellent! Fridge, coffee pot, blow dryer, iron and iron board in room. Student rate offered even though was only there for a week of classes. The only miss I had was microwave to save on meal at night--but then I would have missed ribs!
Nice location near RIT. Updated older hotel with newer lobby and breakfast cafe. Inet connection was good and Philips European restaurant with an amazing bakery is nearby. The hotel was overbooked for the 2nd night we wished to stay so we went to the Woodcliff spa and resort hotel which is only 20 mins from RIT and was lower priced for a much higher quality hotel.
Nice hotel but the room layout is terrible. A suite with a sofa sleeper only has one sink and mirror. Very difficult for 3 people to get ready. Bathroom ventilation was useless and got very hot and humid within a couple minutes of using the shower. Sofa sleeper was extremely uncomfortable. Id recommend finding another hotel in the area.
Ive stayed at this courtyard many times over the years, was great to see that the guest rooms are now updated to the latest courtyard design. Great layout, lots of electrical outlets, nice bathroom layout.Have always found the staff at this courtyard to be a great part of the experience in staying here.Enjoy
The hotel is in the midst of restaurants along with even more restaurants just down the street. It is also located right next to I390 for easy access to the rest of the city. Not only that, a couple of miles up the street is the Highland Park complete with sightings. The hotel is at a good location, you cant go wrong with the location. Other than that, the rating reflects the fact that this hotel us no better or worse than any other hotel.
Facility is very clean, no off odors in the halls or rooms. Staff very polite and helpful. Would have been five stars but the room phone was in operable and contacting the front desk ment calling on your own personal phone or using the in house Hall phone by the elevator. Thats not an option for late at night and your in PJs
I have been coming to the Brighton Marriott Courtyard every year (my son attends RIT) for the past 3 years and on other occasions to attend RIT sponsored events. It is wonderful! I feel like I am returning to a second home. The staff have always been extremely kind, courteous, friendly and VERY helpful. The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable and is just minutes away from RIT as well as restaurants and shopping too. I highly recommend this hotel for RIT families. I am always able to get a good deal through AAA and/or Southwest Airlines, so budget wise, it works for me.
Room was very nice, staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room, property, etc. didnt seem to be worth the extra money it usually costs. (I redeemed a free night certificate. I wanted to try this one out, as it is very close to where I needed to be.) Not significantly different from other properties.I didnt check, so this is my fault, but the Marriot properties I usually stay at offer some sort of breakfast. While the breakfast was fine, according to my son since I skipped it, an additional $11+ a person cost was disappointing. With several other options in the area, Ill just skip Courtyards in the future.
I was most pleased by the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. I was in the region for business and for only one night. I would most certainly stay here again. The room design and comfort were ideal for my needs. Very good location near highways and main roads, a corporate office park and college. Many many dining choices in the area.
This hotel was very clean, modern, and comfortable, but what hotel charges for coffee? With having raised 3 kids that all played Club sports, which meant traveling overnight for competitions, we have spent probably 15-20 weekends per year at a hotel for at least 1 night and never until this trip, have I ever been charged for coffee.
I only stayed overnight so it was fast. No pleasure, pure business. Hotel is clean, staff is friendly, lobby has food available and places to sit and do work. Free newspapers WSJ&USA Today. It is easy to get to from the highway and is very close to University of Richester Hospital.I prefer to stay at a hotel with a free continental breakfast and this would be my only complaint.
I have stayed here before and I absolutely loved it. This time will be the last time I will come. 3:30am I was awakened by bed bugs!!! The worst part is that its memorial weekend and no manager is available! We were changed to a different room. I caught the little sucker and left them the present in a zip lock bag for proof. I also took pictures and videos of bite marks and of the bed bug itself. If you stay here please make sure to check all beds!!! There is a courtyard and I know beg bugs arent the only bugs coming in the rooms.
The hotel staff refused to address concerns. The bill I paid was nearly double the price quoted in my reservation. I was pre-charged a deposit which was never applied to my bill. I was pre-charged for incidentals with no disclosure of that fee. One of the families in our group was charged a hefty deposit, charged for a night they never reserved then the remainder of their reservation was cancelled so they had no room for the weekend. My refrigerator did not work and the repair man had no knowledge of how to fix it but rather flippantly said well, well pay to replace your milk instead, thats cheap enough. The internet did not stay connected for more than 2-3 minutes and when you try to reconnect, it does not show the wifi network as available.
Overall, this was an absolutely amazing experience staying at the Courtyard Marriott. Because of the way I was treated, I will always be using this specific type of hotel in both my personal and business travels. I would highly recommend this hotel to my family and friends, and I think that the options that the hotel had to offer as well as the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff made my stay extremely pleasant.

2022-07-06Free parking and wifi. Breakfast was quite expensive (~$9-11/person) and so was the coffee, but I would recommend the egg, cheese, and bacon quesadilla if youre looking for the most bang-for-your-buck, filling option. Quiet place, very spacious rooms. Had a really great sleep. Nicer-than-expected indoor swimming pool. Gym was quite good too, with 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical, 1 biking machine, and a set of weights.

2022-02-24Spent the night with kids for a mini getaway. We had the pool to ourselves - it was in good condition and felt clean, but the advertised hot tub has been tiled over. Staff was friendly and helpful, but the condition of the room was questionable. Massive water leak in the ceiling had led to bubbling and peeling paint on one wall. Holes in other walls were patched but not painted. Bed was ok, but pull out couch in suite was almost unbearable for 9 year old. Room feels like it might be ready for an update.

2022-06-28Positive: Clean, convenient, cheerful place to stay. Negative: 1) Finding the hotel is difficult--better signage visible from Rte 15A would be helpful. Also, a few small signs would assist in reaching city streets when exiting. 2) Breakfast was pricey, middling quality, and involved a lengthy wait for service.

2022-04-09Room was nice. The actual hotel needs updating. They had a combined bar and food area. There is a pool but not hot tub yet the signs and online advertise that?

2022-05-31I was disapp. that there was no microwave in the room, not a good idea at all. Also it was stuffy and hot in the room. AC temp. only stays up to 70, not lower, that doesnt work for spring or summer, temp outside was in upper 90 that weekend.

2022-06-23The front desk guy Bryan made me wait for 2 good hours to send me toiletries. And when I called front desk, again Bryan guy attended and responded in a cocky manner. Everything is great except the front desk people. Worst experience at this 33 corporate woods dr. Rochester NY Marriott. I dont spend $200 to receive this kind of service or get treated this way. Too disappointing.

2022-06-24I would give this place negative stars if I could. Its deceiving. The room appeared OK upon entering. But then the fun began. The property was full so my family had to get a king room with pull out sofa. There were no sheets blankets or pillows for the pull out. The pull out sofa mattress had urine stains all over it and a chewed up plastic straw came flying out like a spring when the mattress was extended. Along with .75 cents in foreign coin and a clothing tag. Then I opened the curtains to find holes in the wall and black mold everywhere. It is by far the nastiest property Ive ever been in, and I stay in hotels multiple times per month on business. If you ever stay here, do not get room 252. If you do, dont look behind the curtains or use the pullout. Unvelievable.

2022-05-03Great place to stay in Rochester, N.Y.Helpful staff. (Even gave us name & numbers of a great nearby Pizza place.) Clean, safe area. Will stay here again when in Rochester, that is for certain!!!
