Positive: The location was the only redeeming quality and the manager Eric. Negative: Several things, cleanliness was poor, professionalism of some of the front desk staff was lacking, there was no hot water, no room service, no complimentary water, the room didn¿t have a book of guide listing features or numbers, the bar area unattende
We originally only planned on a two night stay, but our plans changed and we returned for an additional five nights later in the week. The hotel is convenient to lots of shopping, restaurants and attractions and is close to the major Long Island thoroughfares for local travel. The rooms for our two stays were large and comfortable. Everything was super clean, and the staff at the hotel was attentive and friendly. One little quirk we had: we had a third person in the room for the second five-day stay, but the housekeeping staff kept leaving towel service for two, so we had to chase down a third set a couple of times. This hotel does have some limited food service, along with a bar. There is no complimentary breakfast; this isnt a problem, but it would be nice to have just some complimentary coffee available in the lobby like so many other hotels offer. The upside for visitors is that there are a ton of local places to eat, from fast food to great diners to excellent restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wed stay again when visiting the area.
Its a very nice, clean hotel with very friendly and professional staff! Will definitely be staying here for the rest of my buisness in Long IslandDefinitely recommend Courtyard Westbury over Springhill Carle Place... Springhill has very condescending staff, and apparently a party problem with a $250 incidental hold.
They have no security or cameras in their parking lot and on Christmas day my car and others were broken into and all gifts were stolen. The hotel says they are not responsible, beware of the surrounding neighnor the police that responded said this happens alot and the neighbor isnt the safest.
The staff was so accommodating. We were in town for a wedding for a week. We were able to get room after having left the hotel across the street because of its poor condition. The hotel and room was in top notch condition. Super clean and comfortable bed. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
The entire staff was friendly but 4 really went out of their way to make our stay exceptional.Jessica at the front deskMatt at the front deskTony in engineeringAnd the lady on Sunday at the deli were allFriendly and efficient. We had a light bulb go out Matt sent Tony and the light was changed in 15 minutes at lunch time. Would completely recommend this hotel to anyone staying on the island.Room was clean , shower water pressure was excellent .Next time we are back in Long Island we will definitely stay here.
They had me sign a paper saying I wouldn’t be noisy yet I was awakened by loud noise that sounded like I was next to a dance hall or club. They need to up their game and internet. Food only available from 6:30AM to 9AM. One of the beds were broken. They won’t clean your room for multiple day stays unless you ask. I booked a room for my niece and I they don’t give you enough coffee for 2 people and barely enough towels. I had to ask housekeeping for them. All the bedding on the bed was backwards with the tags in your face. I found that strange. You have to pay extra for everything. It was clean but I felt like I was not valued. One thing there are so many good places for food around, those delivering are fast and the restaurants I went to were nice and the food was good but that’s not due to the hotel itself.
Nothing short of amazing!!! The hotel was flawless from check in area to the room. Room was clean and the decor was very modern. Check in was quick and all my needs were met without delay. Location is by everything you would need and parking is not an issue. This is by far the best hotel I have stayed at in the New York/ Long Island area. Will definitely stay at the Courtyard again !!
Positive: Impeccable hotel!!! From check in to check out was smooth and easy. Staff had on their mask. Lobby area was clean and quite. Room was flawless and the decor was nice. All my needs and request were meant promptly! Parking is on the property.Book immediate! Negative: No!!!
Needed a place for a week while out for training. The Marriott was conveniently located within three miles of my training location. I had left home for my drive to the Hotel on Sunday during Storm Henri and was several hours early. As I was getting close to the hotel I had phoned and asked for an early check-in and due to the circumstances and very accommodating staff I was able to check in immediately upon arrival. The lobby was inviting, the room was well appointed and a very comfortable bed. I did not use many of the services but they were all available. I will most likely be coming out for another week and will definitely stay at the Marriott Courtyard again even though there are several other choices in the area.
Positive: Exceeded value for money. I stay on hotels 2 to 3 times a week for work and this is the type of room Im usually spending much more for especially on Long Island. King room w/ sofa bed perfect for me and my 3 kids. Negative: Shower water didnt get as hot as i like it. Would appreciate free coffee in tge lobby in the morning.
I am a travel agent and I will not recommend any of my clients stay here in the future. We returned to our room after a long day this past weekend and it stunk of marijuana. We asked to move but the hotel was booked and we were told sorry, there is nothing we can do. We could not stay there, it was so bad, with 2/3 having asthma, it was that bad. Almost like a thick cloud in our room. So we had to pack up around 1030 that evening we were forced to drive home. We have yet to hear from the manager that we were told would contact us the next day. Less than satisfied all around.
My husband and I just wanted to get away from everything for a night and since we never stayed at Courtyard Marriott before we decided to give it a try and it was wonderful! The room was very clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and nice touch with the sofa bed Chaise you can sit up to watch tv. Also enjoyed watching the big tv looked about 40 inches and nice touch with being able to watch Netflix with your own log in and hbo for free! Staff was hospitable as well. We will be going back there soon!
The place is pretty new and the rooms are clean. There is no room service and the front desk is a bit slow. Shower is large and clean but there is nothing to hold on to, could be a fall potential. Additionally, the lighting in the bathroom is terrible, dont try and shave in there unless you want to slit your throat. This Marriott ignored my requests on the website for a feather free pillow and additional pillows. They also neglected to give me additional towels as requested.
A lot of things were not working. For example, the tv was not working in mine, when I called they did not resolve my problem. Above me was my sisters room, the sink was not working. She called they did not resolve her problem. I was told when I leave I will getting reimbursed a $40 payment I did not receive my reimbursement. Still waiting and I checked out a whole week ago. The website is very misleading when booking. very disappointed with the stay overall.
Courtyard Westbury is a nice alternative in the Westbury/Carle Place/Garden City area. This is a fairly new property opened in the past 5 years. Ive stayed there on leisure weekends and I previously worked with their group sales in 2019 for a corporate event. This is a clean, reliable property with polite responsive staff. No hotels on Long Island are a great bargain in the summertime as there is high demand but this property is a reasonable choice especially if you can book early. The hotel is very well located. Within 10 miles are tons of shopping and restaurants (a few minutes to Roosevelt Field Mall), Nassau Coliseum, Ocean Beaches and a number of Universities (Adelphi, Hofstra, SUNY Westbury). There are other attractions in the area too numerous to mention.
Where do I start about he caring hearts of the staff at the Marriott in Westbury. My family stayed there from out of state due to a funeral. And the staff here was beyond accommodating to our family. they made sure we was extremely comfortable and allowed us flexibility within their facility. going forward my family coming to visit in NY will only stay here!!!!!
I have stayed at this hotel numerous times without any problems and was satisfied with my stay, but for the past three months there has been an influx of people that been partying, playing loud music, smoking in the rooms, and not following the COVID protocol (not wearing masks). The staff are aware of the parties and doesn’t do anything to stop it. I hope this hotel can enforce the rules a bit better. It is really a clean hotel with some nice staff.
My stay at the Courtyard Marriott Westbury was the perfect getaway. I was there from Thursday to Sunday. The location is great, it is next to a lot of restaurants, stores and even a Dave & Busters. The best amenity was the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies that the hotel offered in the lobby. When we werent sure if we were allowed to take them, the staff kindly told us they were for the guests. All the staff were nice, front desk, engineers, everyone. The whole hotel was clean especially the room. The staff put extra everything in the hotel so you dont need to ask for more. The bed is amazing. I think I might have been allergic to whatever detergent they use but it did not bother me because the bed was so amazingly soft and just what I needed. I was there for a wedding but really it felt like a mini vacation. If youre just trying to get away for a weekend I would definitely recommend this hotel. Thanks for a lovely stay
We booked this hotel because it had a pool and cafe. Upon check in we were told the pool isn’t working. The staff said the cafe would be open in the morning but when we went in the morning the only thing we could get was coffee and little egg sandwiches because the kitchen hasn’t opened with Covid yet. You will not have maid service during your stay - they don’t tell you that so each day we had to stop at the desk and ask for fresh towels. If the website had mentioned this as it should I would have picked the cheaper hotel down the street whose pool was functioning.
The deposit held by this hotel triggered my credit card company to put my account on hold, at the highest level of identity theft alert. This took over 30 minutes to resolve. While not directly the hotels fault, there is something to be cautious of when an incidentals hold triggers your credit card company to freeze your account until you pass through four levels of identity checks...while youre in the lobby. This type of experience has NEVER happened through my many years of traveling. The hotel otherwise was fine and fairly standard for a Courtyard. Staff were mostly masked, some folks were more friendly than others. The room was clean and the location was convenient.
We checked in Friday evening, found other guests have been loud until close to midnight every night during our stay, both in the hallway, and at the fire pit area which the noise can be heard at 4F, even with window shut and curtain closed. We complained to the front desk the second morning we stayed there (Saturday morning) but it wasnt taken care of. The situation continued until we checked out on Monday.Saturday morning, we asked for room service for Sunday (the next day), but when we returned to the room Sunday night around 10PM, the room was not serviced. Overall a disappointing experience.
The property is well maintained. The staff friendly and helpful. While we didnt have an need to use it, the pool is still closed. I assume due to local COVID requirments. Additionally, I was disappointed that the Bistro wasnt open in the afternoon/evening. The selection in the Marketplace adjacent to the lobby check-in was very limited.
This will now be my go to hotel for the area. There are many hotels in the westbury Garden City area to choose from however many of them are under 4 stars. I needed a place to lay my head while in the area on a overnight trip and began searching the member discount prices on AAA. I came across this hotel running only a few dollars more than the subpar hotels near JFK/ LaGuardia. I normally stay at Hyatt or Hilton but have never stayed with Courtyard Mariott. My stay was a positive one. This hotel’s Boutique style reminds me of the Aloft hotels. The concierge were awesome. A Asian gentleman checked me in and he was very kind and quick with check-in. Housekeeping was awesome and they really deserve a raise. They keep this hotel spic and span ! They also delivered my additional towels promptly. The amenities seem wonderful but I did not have time to enjoy them. They have a gorgeous fire pit on the patio, a bistro with breakfast (non-complimentary) and a pool. The television service was great. Free HBO and you may link your Netflix or pandora accounts. My negatives- the lack of a complimentary breakfast buffet, the flat low quality pillows. BYOP ( bring your own pillows) This really was disappointing when you have no neck support and cannot get a good night’s rest. Invest in your guests and they will invest in you.
The Courtyard is a modern hotel with attractive rooms. Front office staff is helpful. Ample free parking. Good location. The hotel is a step up from most of the mid-tier hotels we’ve stayed at.However, we had a problem with our Bonvoy account and Marriott does not make it easy to solve! Their phone system is very frustrating, as you cannot get connected to a person. The automated system, as often the case, does not get you to an option that deals with your particular problem. Ugh.
The hotel staff and hotel were excellent. We were very frustrated with our room door though. Our door lock malfunctioned twice and we had to spend one night in a room without our belongings. We had to rearrange our activities for two days. We were told we would be comped for two nights stay and were only given one.
My overall experience was extremely favorable and positive. My best experience was with the hotel staff. They all couldnt do enough for you and did it with such professionalism, graciousness, and respect. The Bistro met my needs and the food was really good. The room was spacious and comfortable. Would definitely consider coming back if in the area again. The staff was excellent which is super important for a positive stay!
Check-in went well, My two rooms were conjoined and looked Clean on the surface, but at closer examination there were food stains on the furniture. There were suspicious stains on the bedding a long with lots of short black hairs underneath the covers consistant with body hairs. I called the front desk to require new linen. I got the new sheets quickly and decided to not use the comforter. Because of this and the Covid-19 spread, I felt I should clean and disinfect everything myself incase housekeeping just did minimum cleaning. PLEASE CLEAN THROUGHLY !!! PLEASE CHANGE ALL BEDDING ! Lives depend on it!
My room had a leaking ceiling, towels were unavailable...in fact, when I switched rooms and requested additional towels, there werent any towels in the new room. This was ESPECIALLY inconvenient after sweating all day in the New York summer sweltering heat. Not sure if Ill ever return to give a second chance. Its too bad because I travel quite frequently.-Disappointed
The location of the hotel is pretty easy to get to, I memorized how to get to it the first day there. The check in process was quick and painless. The room was kept at a great temperature, it was clean, and smelled fresh. The bed was comfortable, and the view was great! The staff was friendly. The bathrooms were great, definitely one of my favorite parts of the room. Everything was very clean. The walls are pretty soundproof, however you can still hear faint talking from the other side of the wall, but it wasn’t bothersome. I loved my stay at this hotel, I plan on staying again in the future.
Staff was exceptional and handled all questions with ease. Very welcoming, polite and professional. Rooms were clean, lobby and bistro area were clean and accommodating. Only complaint I have is beds were hard and not comfortable for someone with an extremely bad back, but others had no complaints. We stayed with a large group, and were able to enjoy the common space off the lobby as a group every evening.
We lost power and they were available. We have 3 children under 9 and the heat in our home made it unbearable to stay. This hotel was a literal port in a storm. We were so hesitant to stay somewhere due to COVID concerns, but we felt safe. Masks worn, nothing left in the room, you had to ask for extras. When we weren’t sure if we needed to stay longer, they were flexible with our needs. The staff was professional and the hotel was clean. It was just what we needed when we needed it and we are thankful.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Courtyard Marriott in Westbury, NY. This is our second stay and it was equally great. This time, however, the customer service was impressive. Whether coming or going, we were always greeted with a smile. It seemed like everyone was on the same team and a strong sense of leadership shows through. The rooms were clean and spacious, and service was consistently good. We highly recommend and plan to return.
Excellent hotel. Clean, modern, and great front desk staff who were more than accommodating and helpful when I had a travel issue with my airline. Rooms are very clean, spacious, updated, and modern with swivel TVs, USB plugs everywhere, fridge and Kcup maker, and heating/cool controls. Bathroom was bright, clean, and updated. Lobby was updated, large, and inviting with plenty of seating. They even had a fire pit outside already on at night. I stayed here for business but would stay here again for personal or business needs. Excellent Courtyard overall and sets the bar for what Courtyards should be.
Hotel was amazing and clean when we arrived. I did not have the extra towels I asked for online, but was able to quickly get what I needed. I recommend this particular location due to the constant noise in the city. The hotel was quiet, peaceful and almost made me feel like I was in my own condo. The staff were very polite and professional. Additionally, there are multiple restaurants, stores, and shopping areas around the hotel. You really do not have to go far. It was about a 30 minute drive to the city without paying for tolls (depending on which way you go). The Bistro could use more items on the menu, but youll always be able to find something within a short walk or drive in the area.
I was in town to volunteer at the U2 concert at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. I was very pleased that I was able to check in a bit early and quickly as I was running late. The hotel is in a great location. Quiet area, yet within walking distance of businesses and places to eat. Also about a 5 minute drive to the Coliseum. My room was spacious and very clean. Cleanliness of a room is my #1 concern when staying at any hotel. The coffee maker, mini-fridge, and microwave were an added bonus. The bed was incredibly comfortable! Check-out the next morning was quick and easy. Each staff member I encountered was very friendly and accommodating. Although the price was quite a bit higher than what I had wanted to pay for 1 night, it was a very positive experience and I would recommend this hotel to others.
This hotel is nicely appointed. The decor style is modern and up to date. The rooms are spacious, I love they have a walk in shower. The only feedback is, it’s time for Courtyard Westbury to invest in some TLC deep cleaning of the suites. I stayed in the Separate room king suite, plenty of seating however I did not feel comfortable sitting in the nice stylish couches as they were stained. The room itself had quite a few stains that Should be addressed. I know it can be challenging to stay on top of everything, but I feel as an establishment such as “The Marriott” they would want to maintain their status as being a 4-5 star hotel. It’s time to get back to basics and create a schedule to ensure the suites get the TLC deep cleaning on a regular basis and purchase whatever materials necessary to ensure each guest experiences a fresh clean suite.
Were so happy we used Courtyard Westbury Long Island for our hotel block! They were very accommodating. The bridal suite was the perfect size for me and four of my bridesmaids to stay overnight, as well as the next morning when four more bridesmaids, a team of hair and makeup artists, and my mother and mother-in-law joined us. We were all in the room at the same time, and there was plenty of space for everyone! There was a bottle of wine waiting for us. We were able to hang out outside by the fire pit after the wedding and the morning after they allowed our family to eat bagels for breakfast in the common area.
Everything was fine. Shower is excellent. Rooms clean, modern and comfortable. The bed was exceptionally good. Only critical comments are, not enough coffee for two people to have two cups of coffee in the morning. And, breakfast was not included. Not even complimentary coffee in the lobby. Location was perfect for our visit.
Excellent hotel kept extremely clean. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff. As for the hotel itself, from the kind, courteous, and friendly manager, to the meticulous, comfortable rooms with a cozy sitting area - our experience was nothing less than exceptional. Restaurants within short walking distance (just a few minutes). Would definitely recommend to everybody for leisure and business! Its a true sample of excellent hospitality. Thank you again to the manager for going just that little step extra for their guests!!!
I booked this hotel for my friends wedding. I originally booked for one night (Saturday). At the last minute, I needed to come up a day early. I was extremely stressed and worried you would not be able to accommodate me with such short notice. I called your hotel and spoke with Jonathon. He answered the phone with such a great energy and spirit. His positive energy was literally contagious. He put my mind at ease and put me in a better mood. He assisted me in booking the room over the phone. He was even proactive and independently looked into if I could get the room for the wedding block price before I could even ask him. He was excellent with anticipating all of my needs and answered all of my questions. He had the BEST phone manners! He said please pardon my silence while he was looking stuff up for me (Where did you guys find this guy?!? Keep him forever). He engaged in conversation, which really makes a guest feel valued and cared about. When I finally arrived to the hotel to check in, I was greeted by Jonathon (with the same great energy he had on the phone). When I said my last name, he immediately welcomed me, reintroduced himself as the person I spoke to over the phone, and inquired how my drive up was. He quickly checked me in. Jonathon shared that he would be back the next day, and to not hesitate to ask if I needed anything. Jonathon was extremely helpful and really made all of the difference in my experience. While all of the staff members were great, Johnathon really stood out from the rest. I was also shocked to hear he has only been working there for 2 weeks! I would have never guessed. He was so knowledgeable and comfortable. I honestly cant speak more highly of this Marriott location and my experience. I will be sure to visit again and have been spreading the word about my fantastic stay. THANK YOU!! And thank you, Jonathon, for going above and beyond and having the best customer service I have ever encountered.
I love staying at this hotel! I have stayed here three times in the past 6 months. Even though my business was 40 min away from the hotel and there was a closer Marriott to where we needed to be, I would rather drive to the Westbury Marriott than stay at any other hotel in the city. Clean, consistent and friendly staff! Thank you for treating us with respect, getting us checked in quickly and accommodating our needs. We will see you again soon!
I had an excellent time at this hotel. The staff was very courteous, professional, and kind. I loved the room and found them to be very clean, comfortable and easily accessible. The Bistro and bar was a very nice amenity to the hotel that made it very convenient to dine and have a cocktail without having to leave. I would highly recommend this hotel to y family and friend and I will be staying here again very soon.
Enjoyed the cleanliness, newer vs older towels, bed comfort, quick service elevator, friendly responsive staff, easy parking, quietness in public areas and outstanding internet HBO on the television set. Would really consider the Courtyard in Westbury against any other property when staying the area.
Taking the Red Eye is often a problem, but not with the Courtyard Westbury. We let them know in advance we would need an early check in and when we arrived at 9 a.m., they said, no problem. We were so thankful to enter the beautiful and clean room and catch some morning rest on the comfy beds after being up all night. We took morning showers and asked for extra towels, so we would have fresh ones for evening showers -- once again, no problem. We had a short visit, but a very pleasant one. No complaints .... a very warm and pleasant staff. They even had cookies out to eat and a nice fitness room. We didnt have the time to use the indoor pool, but plan to on our next visit. .
We stayed for 5 nights visiting friends and would look for alternatives for our next visit. This is a good overnight business hotel, but for a vacation, the services and amenities were basic. It is the brand, so no surprises there. Room was clean, quiet and bed was comfortable. No luggage rack-for two people, one person could put their suitcase on the “desk” area and the other had to go on the floor. The room was small.
The facility was clean and fresh. The staff at the front desk were superlative. The staff at the Bistro were attentive and prompt. The seating area was clean and the television in the sectional area was novel and in good working order. The water pressure and temperature control in the room bathroom was effective. My wife took a bath and found there was a slow and somewhat noisy drain leak that somewhat diminished her enjoyment of the experience. The room amenities were in in fine working order. The refrigerator benefitted from being in an enclosure. The HVAC kept there room temperature and humidity comfortable. It was also nice to be able to see our vehicle from the windows. The facility location was very convenient for our needs to attend the wedding and reception. We have stayed at many Marriott venues over the years and this facility was shows your are maintaining your standard of excellence.
As said before, I was very rudely checked out, asked if I even still wanted my breakfast bag, half of the components weren’t even in there (not disclosed to me at all) and then proceeded to tell me that it doesn’t come with coffee or juice where it says it does right there on the sign. Why offer something if it is such poor quality? And remind your staff how asking “how can I help you” is appropriate not “what do you need”
This hotel is super. The amenities are great. The staff was very friendly without being overly friendly or pretentious. The room was super comfortable and very appealing. The sitting area was comfortable and roomy. I enjoyed the extra free TV services provided. The fire pit was a nice touch! Made my work trip feel like vacation.
This hotel is well situated and brand new. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a modern design. Our bathroom was clean and well lit. Best of all, it contained a magnifying mirror, which I find lacking in many hotels. I did not like the bath products that were in the shower and feel that Marriott might benefit from an upgrade on that front. Aside from that, the reading lights near the bed were thoughtfully place and easy to reach. This is another feature that I find terribly lacking in many hotels. Overall, a nice, comfy room on a quiet hall. What more can one ask?
Clean, spacious, and very thoughtful practical inclusions like a desk, ledge for keys, even the minimalistic small magnified mirror in bathroom! Swivel TV is ingenious & so practical for the space. We LOVED the very comfortable uniquely-shaped couch to relax & converse, it created a space to socialize & be present for quality time decompressing, something I honestly dont think Ive ever had created by another hotel room. Regarding layout- great partition of space within the room, impressed w the semi-partition & subtle storage space to hide microwave & fridge. In the bathroom, also nice having the division between sink & toilet. (Although, even better when the sink is outside the bathroom in case people need to use facilities while others brush teeth etc.)Also, I switched from 2 other hotels (local branch & the Hyatt which I usually like theyre updated modern space-efficient appointments) bc of Courtyards *refreshingly* artistic, organic & relaxing color palette & decor, furniture layout & vibe. Its good to know Marriotts so attentive to the experience their friendly & professional customer service AND room layout & decor create. Only 2 points with room for improvement would be 1) pictures indicated a larger modern glass-walled shower which looked appealingly spacious (I hate having the shower curtain in the way) although having the tub option is always nice. Also 2) including Decaffeinated Herbal & Regular Caffeinated TEA in the rooms for those of us who dont drink coffee.
Overall the hotel pretty standard check-in was very easy and property was not too big so it’s not hard to find a parking and find my room. They have this lil area they call “the market” I went there just to get some water and snacks and they totally rip you off. The hotel seems kind a dead they have a little restaurant in there and there’s really not too much to do want you there the pool closes at 10 PM. The staff is very , very friendly I really enjoy talking with them, they were so helpful.
Stayed at this location for a wedding. Checking in was easy and quick. They explained all the amenities and also the wifi. When I entered the room it smelled so clean and look spotless. I used the gym which was pretty standard and clean. Everything looked new at this hotel. Bed very comfortable. It was nice to have a small bristro/ lounge area. even the fire-pit was nice to sit outside and enjoy the sunset. It is so conveniently close to a mall.
Personnel at the hotel were friendly, efficient and extremely helpful. I didnt use the pool or gym but they looked clean and nice. Room was comfortable, clean, and designed very efficiently (which is more than I can say about some other hotels ive been in recently!), with plenty of space, a frig and a microwave and Keurig coffee machine. When I called downstairs to see if they have any creamers vs. powdered creamers, they sent me up a half glass of cream I could put in my frig and use the next day of my stay as well. So, great service. Sheets were soft and towels plentiful. Internet fast and easy to get on. A nice plus was a radio with pandora paring option that I could actually figure out how to use. This is a new hotel and I will come back.
For a hotel that’s local at least for myself this is very nice place to stay at, the staff are very informative and attentive and the room itself is very beautiful and clean and it really makes you feel like you went far away for the price and the experience that comes behind it it’s very worth it i’ll always choose the courtyard Marriott
Stayed here while visiting a sick relative. It was a great place to retreat to at night for some peace and quiet. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The beds are comfortable and the pillows are nice and fluffy. The outlets right on the beside table are awesome for people who need to (or like to) have their phone close by at night while charging. The bathrooms also allow some space and the showers are nice. The in-room fridge, microwave, and Keurig are awesome amenities. The lobby is very nice and the cafe there is good and serves made-to-order Starbucks beverages. So glad we had this refuge during a tough time.
The staff is relatively friendly, although they never mentioned the free flavored water or free cookies in the lobby. The rooms are clean and beds are actually comfortable. Bathrooms are good. The Starbucks in the lobby is a typical Starbucks, with burnt coffee - the food that is offered at Starbucks, but through the Hotel is very expensive and tasteless. In the morning we had to wait 20 minutes after we ordered to get our food, we paid $17 fora coffee and a small omelet that was supposed to have caramelized onions ( but they were more raw) and it came with french fries ( at 7 am). My advice, stay here but skip the food.
We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott after seeing a play a Tilles Center for my husband’s Birthday and The staff treated my husband like a King for his birthday. Their warm hospitable, beautiful smiles, and generosity overwhelmed us. Our room was upgraded to a suite and we received a lovely birthday gift as Gold elite members. The room was immaculate and the bed was heavenly. We were leaving for NYC the next day, to stay at another Marriott of course, and they allowed us park our car in their lot until we got back. We’ve been to many Marriotts and many that are full service, and the staff here are exemplary. I suggest Marriott use this location as their training center since their standards of service are excellent, and have been far better than any I have been to. Or perhaps observe them to see what true hospitality looks like. They still know what the hospitality industry is about . Thank you Marriott Courtyard if Westbury for going out of your way to make my husband’s birthday such a memorable one!! You’re the best! God bless you all.
Clean (new!), quiet and user friendly. Courteous staff. Fire pit, pool and gym. A family member took a room as my house couldnt accommodate her, and she appreciated the Ahh, we can relax mood set by the room. Bistro has lovely staff and AMAZING French fries. Well done, Courtyard, well done!
Called the front desk for a noise complaint at 11pm. I was told that it’s “Saturday Night” and they would attempt to quiet the other guests but we should probably just move our room. After another hour of the party escalating, we had no choice but to pack all our bags, wake up my scared 3 year old and move in the middle of the night. Horrible customer service.
I had a strange experience here. The ambience and cleanliness is good. However, someone came knocking our door at 3.30 a.m and wouldn’t say anything. When we called the front desk, they acted totally cool, said it was an associate and asked us to disregard the call. The next morning, the front desk wouldn’t take accountability and kept blaming it on the night staff. I was told the manager will check the security camera and call me back but that never happened.
We were at this hotel for a family wedding. I am a rewards member so we usually stay at Marriotts. This Courtyard didn’t disappoint. Clean and up to date in the furnishings. The hotel staff was incredible too. If I’m ever in that area again, we would definitely stay there again.
The cleanest hotel around thus area. I tried Hilton and couple of other places but here has the best layout, most modern design (for young people) including bathroom ( seems newly renovated). The facility is very satisfied except the crew services, so never leave anything behind. The cleaning team will never gonna return it. also do not go indoor swimming pool. My hubby’s black swimming pants became brown after 30min.
My daughter and her husband booked their rooms at the Marriott in Westbury while it was still under construction. Even then the customer service was impeccable! They were given a tour of the site and were treated like royalty! Throughout the months of planning they were constantly helping us with the planning. Once the big day came, we were all amazed at how this onetime construction site was transformed into a lovely space with even more lovely staff who are attentive to our every need. The rooms are spacious, modern, and the bed? Well, that bed was EVERYTHING! Thank you so much for making sure our stay was perfect! It made our celebration complete!
My husband and I stayed here for a few days at Christmas to be near friends and family. The room was clean and comfortable and that was all we needed was a bed and a shower as we were barely in the room. The front desk staff was great! We usually like Courtyard because of The Bistro but at this one Id recommend sticking to coffee/tea. We purchased breakfast on Christmas morning and the manager on duty was rude and the food quality was not what weve come to know. The breakfasts were also not made correctly and when mentioned to the manager, the manager was rude and refused to do anything about it.
This hotel from the staff to the room was the best experience and pleasure I have ever had at a hotel. The cleanliness, the supporting and helpful and friendly staff, and the room was so nice! The bed was extremely comfortable, the TV was great, the bathroom had everything you could need and everything was in perfect order. I would definitely recommend to stay here if you ever come to this area!
We traveled to NYC for two family funeral services and was exhausted from being in our car. The staff was excellent, the room was wonderful and made our stay great in our time of grieving. I was able to exercise each morning to relieve stress in a very nice work-out room.Thank you and we will revisit this hotel again! We HIGHLY recommend! 😀
We were greeted by friendly staff at the front desk with a quick check in. Our room was extremely clean and we received a free pack n play for our son! Our room was so clean, we felt as if we were the first to stay in a new hotel. The bistros food was delicious along with excellent staff! We are already planning our next visit!
Rooms are nice, bar area nice. Very new amenities. Front desk staff seemed generally aloof and not too friendly. Bar/bistro hours could be better (10pm close) and if its not breakfast (ends at 9:30) or dinner (5 to 10) the bar is not open for drinks or coffee. Accidentally broke a glass in our bathroom in the middle of the night, a half-asleep security guard showed up with a broom to take care of it and after a couple half-hearted sweeps walked away. Understand they can only do so much and the glass was due to our accident, but there was still a lot of obvious glass and they should have at least put in for house keeping to come first thing in the morning - but no. Sort of hard to shower in a bathroom littered with glass.
Pros: Lots of parking. Convenient to the surrounding area of Long Island. Good A/C system in rooms. Very comfortable beds and linens. Friendly helpful staff at the front desk.Cons: Shower head was oddly positioned and didnt make for a good shower. Lighting in bathroom was dimmer than I would have liked.
Your front desk staff was amazing. They were super accommodating. We had 25 people there for a reunion and they allowed us to us the lobby and outside area to mingle and enjoy each others company. We ordered pizza and drank beer and they were friendly and helpful the whole time. Id reccomend to anyone having a gathering
As I pulled in to the parking lot the hotel/parking lot was very clean. A large parking lot. Walking in to the hotel, the lobby was clean, well layed out, and a nice Bistro to grab a drink or a bite to eat. The staff was very professional and friendly. A timely check in. My room was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities I needed. The patio area with the fire pit was a great place to sit outside and enjoy the great weather. Fitness center and pool on the first floor was great as well. This hotel is a must stay if you are in the Westbury area. Easy to get on and off Meadow State Parkway.
Overall I enjoyed my stay. Bar was a little underwhelming along with food menu options. Also the bathroom amenities could have been better. Also a robe in the room would have been a nice touch as well. Some movie options besides Netflix would be nice. We dont all have Netflix accounts.
Pretty much standard Courtyard by Marriott. Updated, modern rooms with the standard amenities, Flat scree TV, nice shower, small sofa in the room, Keurig coffee, and a refrigerator. Room was clean, staff was friendly, bed was comfortable, and lobby and business center were nice as well. Location is good, easy access to food and businesses nearby. Would definitely recommend it.
Nice hotel. Good location near amenities. Hotel is new, so I was surprised to find the couch was filthy and stained. I chose to not sit on it. Bar staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Fire pit area was nice, though just about everyone outside was smoking so that rendered it unusable for me. Adequate, but need to clean the furniture more often and designate a smoking area.
Very professional but friendly staff. The print area was very easy to use, internet access worked fast and well. The options for breakfast werent all that. A lot of fluff and I personally just want some eggs bacon and toast sometimes, I dont need a frittata Fitness Center is NOT a fitness center, theres two benches, half a rack of weights, and four machines. Ive seen better. Stayed in a queen suite, very nice, bathroom was beautiful. I have back issues and I can tell you the beds were extremely comfortable. Pretty quiet on my floor, which I appreaciated, but the lobby was almost always buzzing which was a nice change of pace.
I was there for a business meeting and everything was great. The hotel was modern, clean and comfortable. The staff were very courteous and accommodating, and responded helpfully and with a smile when I asked for assistance. I enjoyed the food I had at the restaurant one of the nights I was there, and there were several chain places within walking distance (I didnt have a car). I would have liked to have been able to walk to other types of restaurants (more local) but otherwise I have no complaints.
I am a Makeup Artist and I travel to hotels all the time to services brides and bridesmaids. I had to start my brides at 5am in the morning so I decided to book a room for myself so I would be tired from driving in the morning. It was the best decision I made. The room was extremely spacious and very comfortable. I went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory that’s close to the hotel. I had letftovers and the room had a microwave and fridge. I was able to warm up my food the next day. I asked the front desk for two high chairs to do makeup and the gentleman at the front desk brought up 2 high chairs for me to do makeup at 5am in the morning. He was very please and happy to help me. I was blown away by the customer service and comfort. I will recommend this hotel, my time there was amazing.
Very friendly and well appointed rooms and lobby. Personnel are very attentive and the rooms are lovely. The lobby includes a Bistro restaurant which had a extensive menu. We had a very enjoyable stay while handling a very difficult family situation. We highly recommend this hotel.
My wife and I had a wedding in area. Figured we would make a little vaca out if it. Hotel was really just the closest. Had no idea how nice it was going to be. Staff very very professional, nice helpful. Rooms super big, surprised to see microwave and fridge that is hidden out of site. Cool things to do in area. Who knew will be back .
We booked the Marriott Westbury for 2 nights for a wedding we were attending. The bride and groom reserved a block of rooms. We booked a king suite which was to have a king bed in the bedroom, and a sofa bed in the living room. We had 4 adults, and a 2 year old, so I requested a rollaway bed per the website. When we arrived, we were told the rollaway bed was a fire hazard and not allowed in Westbury. We thought since there was a queen size sofa bed (we were told by phone), we could manage. The sofa bed was not much bigger than twin size, certainly not big enough for 2 adults and a child. We used the cushion, put it on the floor, and the mom had to sleep on the floor with her child. (Not expected at a Marriott hotel!)Eventually after a few tries, we were moved to a double queen room with the same size sofabed for the child. So we all slept in the one room. But we had to contact the hotel for a billing issue afterwards, as we were billed the higher rate for the room..In addition, the bistro had a very limited menu both days we were there, we were told because there was a computer problem. Closed at 10am Sunday. Also very disappointing.I would like to say that I have been a rewards member for many years, and I have always enjoyed my stays at Marriott hotels. I was extremely unhappy with this stay. The staff was nice and they are very good at apologizing for all the hassles, but apologies do not make for a good stay.
Highly recommend this hotel. We stayed 8 nights in February. It is very clean and the staff is helpful. The only downside would be the restaurant is actually a bistro and the food is just ok and pretty expensive. The bed could have been more comfortable but it wasn’t terrible. I would stay there again!
They charged us over $250 for a room when it was supposed be a wedding group rate. The floors of the lobby, the bistro and the elevators were dirty all weekend. The out door area was trashed. For the price we paid I really expected more. The bistro food was terrible and over priced. You would think they could at least offer free coffee in the morning. Not impressed. Wont return or recommend.
The Property was very pretty and the staff was very good. Not getting the proper wake up call and no water bottle or cups in the room was not good. We stay on Long Island at least once a month for a medical procedure and we were trying Courtyard in case we decide to change from our regular hotel in Great Neck
Overall a beautiful hotel with exceptional staff who were professional, attentive and on point. The staff accommodated our requests quickly and without any issues.I will definitely being staying at this hotel again as the staff made us feel welcomed.Keep up the GREAT work!
I was in town with my wife for a funeral, we choose the Courtyard because of the location, we arrived late that evening check in was smooth, the night clerk was wonderful very pleasant. The room was great, temperature was fine. My wife like the décor of the room, she enjoy the shower. Our stay at the Courtyard was great. From check in and check out everything was great.
I give this hotel -1000 stars but have to give it 1 only to post my review*****I have always stayed at the Marriott hotels but my experience here was one of the worst experiences I have ever had it my entire life! The hotel claimed we were smoking in the room when there was no smoking going on at all! We even let them check the room to prove that there was no smoking going on and then they left. Then 10 minutes later, the cops are at the door and claimed we gave the managers a hard time when they asked us to leave! They racially profiled us and we’re unhappy to see 6 young black people in the Junior Suite which costs 150 for the night. We were not loud at all and we were very cooperative to the security officer they sent up. After being kicked, we asked to have our money back because there was no smoking going on in the room and they refused to give us our money back! The front desk person didn’t even give us a number or person to talk to it about, he just said we weren’t getting our money back and that’s that. He treated us with no respect at all and showed no mercy for me being a faithful Marriott customer. When I came back the next day to speak again about the incident, I was told the same b/s story and the manager claimed they found evidence of a roll up and it smelled of weed and that they had pictures & a police report. We asked to see the evidence and they said they were not allowed to show me anything even though the report was made on a room under my name! They were unable to work with me in any way to resolve the issue and only gave me a number to another manager at the hotel! My experience left me heartbroken and no longer will I give my money to any of the Marriott hotels and especially the Courtyard because of my racist and disrespectful experience at the hotel!! I have opened a case with corporate and look forward to really resolving the issue but will never promote or stay in a Marriott hotel again!
I thought the hotel provided a very comfortable room including the bed and television set up. I loved the food at the Bistro: I thought it was delicious and healthy! I would definitely stay here again and ask my friends and family to stay here as well when they visit!
I picked this hotel to get ready in for my wedding. I checked in late the night before, asked for a 5am wake-up call to ensure Id be ready for hair and make-up who were arriving at 6am and the staff failed to make that wake-up call. Thankfully I had 2 phones set with an alarm because their in-room clock didnt go off, and no one made that wake-up call at 5am. I was up at 4:45am because of my own alarms. In case youre wondering if the ringers were off, my phone rang just fine at 6am to tell me my hair and make-up people had arrived. The hotel is large and my room was spacious and clean. The front desk staff needs more training. They really disappointed me on a day that I was relying on them to come through.
Excellent modern accommodations with very comfortable beds. Restaurants and shopping are right in the neighborhood within walking distance and they have free parking and WIFI. The only negative was they did not have a free breakfast as they have at other Marriott properties but have a small cafe that serves breakfast. This is a new hotel and everything was spotlessly clean.
From the moment I spoke to your front desk representative, Diane on the telephone from our home in Pennsylvania, my daughter and my experience at the Courtyard Westbury was excellent! Diane was very professional and welcoming. Your hotel is immaculate! It is beautiful, clean and has fine accommodations. I commend your housekeeping staff for keeping your hotel so clean. The bistro was great! Your chef, Cheryl was phenomenal and the waitresses were superb. All in all, my daughters and my experience at the Courtyard Westbury was wonderful and memorable!
Terrible customer service. Booked a two night stay a week ago so I could be in the area for my grandfather’s funeral. Received an email at about 3pm stating that my card info needed to be updated and that I needed to call by 6pm or else my reservation would be cancelled. Called the hotel once I left work at 4:30pm and was told that my reservation was already cancelled and that nothing could be done. I explained that there was nothing wrong with my card info and that I needed the room due to the funeral. Was told that “unfortunately the system cancelled the reservation automatically”. Woman I spoke to at the front desk was absolutely no help. There was no manager on duty to assist me. Ended up having to scramble to find another hotel.
The bedrooms were dark. The carpets and couches were dingy. I stayed here the night of our wedding before flying off for our honeymoon. I asked for simple accommodations just because it was the night of our wedding, even letting them know wed pay the costs but they didnt do anything to make the night more special. In fact they ignored us for most of our stay. If I could give the place 0 stars I would. Terrible experience to have especially on such an important day/night.
Honestly, I’d like to say that Jonathon is by far the most incredible employee at any hotel I have ever met. He truly made my stay incredible in every way. His communication skills are extraordinary and his ability to multi task as well as he does puts a smile on my face. He truly deserves a promotion. You tell people to shoot for the stars, well if there is something beyond the stars he is shooting for that!
Would not stay again the banging of the elevator kept me up all night ...I reserved 2 rooms couple ...I requested a later check out and was only given 30 minutes for I room only . I think that was unfair since I had booked for 2 rooms. I didn’t accept the 30 min late check out.
I would like to commend Michelle Andrews (Food and Beverage Manager) for her kind and professional service at the Bistro every morning during my stay. All of the staff was exceptional in their service and greetings. It was a pleasant stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Westbury Long Island. Thank You.
We traveled to Long Island for a Holiday party and decided to stay at the Courtyard. Check-in was quick, easy.. room very clean and nicely updated and interior of hotel lobby, etc. very nice. Hotel is near restaurants, large mall & many stores-activities. Definately recommend staying there. Hotel also has a pool which is great for entertaining the kids at night. Enjoyed my stay and would return again.
The check in process was decent at this Marriott plus it is also very clean. The room was nice and everything was in there. But Marriotts are known for their coffee and this hotel does not have any. They have a Craig in a room with one cake up and if you want coffee. The check in process was decent at this Marriott plus it is also very clean. The room was nice and everything was in there. But Marriotts are known for their coffee and this hotel does not have any. They have a Keurig in a room with oneK cup but if you want coffee after that you’re going to have to pay for it at the Starbucks in the lobby because they do not have coffee on the premises but after 10 AM or at least that’s when I walk downstairs that Starbucks was closed so it’s impossible to get a cup of coffee remember it’s still morning time here so if you don’t wanna sell it you should give it away in the lobby.
All rooms are very large and clean-the bridal suite is enormous! Took a block of rooms for a wedding weekend. Thank you to the staff and special thanks to Jesse, the event coordinator, shes efficient and very organizied, professional, polite and allowed us to enjoy a very hectic weekend.
I attended a seminar in one of the conference rooms. The staff were very friendly and attentive to us. We need to get more chairs and tables for the event and they got then to us right away. The food was also good and fresh. Not much else to attest to as it was a seminar so I was in and out of the conference room and lobby.
How could you charge someone so much for a stay at your hotel and have your key access cards not functional two days in a row? Your company never apologized, nor discounted my room. I had to wait in line two data in a row to speak to someone at the reception area. I had to go up and down to the reception fest two data in a row after having eye surgery and having bags in my hand. Unacceptable behavior for Marriott loyal customers.
I spent one night here but wish it was more. The person checking me in was really nice and polite, asking me how my night was and answering questions I had. The room was bigger than I expected and the bed was really comfortable. I have zero complaints...it was a good stay.
It was 2:30 in the morning. I had just gotten back from the hospital where my friend was recovering from a diving accident... one of the worst days of my life. I must have looked exhausted and disheveled in my bare feet and wrinkled tee shirt. Yet, when I checked-in, the front-desk manager offered me a warm smile and genuine concern for my well being and comfort. He went out of his way to ensure that I got something to eat and drink, and that my room had everything I needed for the night. The hotel was immaculate, the bed amazing, and the room quiet. But I barely noticed. as its moments like this that show real character. Say hello to Thomas for me when you check-in!
Marriott is our only choice because we know the high quality stay we will experience. Over the many years of traveling we have had our best hotel stay experiences at a Marriott. When we choose Marriott we are comforted in knowing we will have an excellent stay with no worries.
Everything was fine for the stay - staff was nice, hotel was fine, no noise, close to the park, supermarkets, etc. etc. etc. But, about a week since my stay, I was home and looking for a few items of clothing that I had with me during my stay. Called the hotel, front desk manager said she would check with housekeeping and get back to me. I received a voicemail stating that house keeping had nothing on record from cleaning my room after I left. I hate to call anyone a liar, but I know exactly which drawer I left my missing items and it included some clothes that still even had tags on! I called back and left a voicemail and have not heard back from the hotel. Not a nice feeling to know that if you leave something behind, you cant trust the staff to actually submit it as lost & found. Wont be staying here again, and taking it out against all Courtyard Marriotts as well.
Ive been traveling to Westbury since March and find the Courtyard a welcoming and friendly place to stay. The hotel is very, very clean. The rooms are comfortable. The front desk staff do what ever it takes to accommodate you. The Bistro staff are friendly, and provide the best service Ive experienced.
This is a brand new hotel. It is very clean and has all the amenities that I love at Courtyard hotels including super comfortable beds, free internet and big screen TVs. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is accessible but not so close to the highway that you can hear the road noise.
This brand new courtyard focuses on excellent customer service first! I know when the service is sincere or not and this MC delivers sincere customer care. Each staff member is happy to do their job right ( I know because I saw those who werent aware that I was observing that they had a warm smile doing their job- from housekeeping to front desk to maintenance.) The grounds are clean, the dining area squeaky clean, the hallways bright and pristine, and the rooms with well made beddings and Bathrooms mold free. Keep it up!
My first time staying at this property. I chose it for myself and two other colleges due to it being close to my client’s office. After a 2.5-hour commute due to traffic it was nice to be greeted with such professionalism and smiling faces. Hospitality was top notch and welcoming.
I was at the courtyard for extended stay due to relocating. it became my home & office for that time period. The location was perfect if i had to travel - major roads & rail road. There were many restaurants & stores nearby, many within walking distance. The Bistro at the courtyard gave me the ability to not have to go out for breakfast or dinner everyday if i did not want to. The little store open 24 hours - allowed me to grab snacks/drinks if i wanted without having to run out. The courtyard was clean, had nice outdoor sitting areas, and a nice lobby. All the staff were friendly & very helpful. I would definitely look for a courtyard in the future, for any traveling i will be doing,
My recent stay at the LI Courtyard Marriott in Westbury was enchanting. This hidden little gem in modern, comfortable and accommodating. The staff is welcoming, caring and professional, concerned with your comfort and needs. I highly recommend this hotel for all travelers and visitors to the area.
The overall experience was ruined by an extremely rude employee at the Bistro. We asked if our food could be delivered and she responded no, later to add if we wanted our food delivered there was another Marriott that offered that service and we should stay there next time. Then after waiting an extended period of time, the order was wrong!
Horrible hotel. They changed my bride suite without my knowledge. There was a dead water roach in my bridal suite. My vision for my video was messed up due to the lack of space in my jr suite vs my king suite that I requested months in advance. Kathryn the manager appeared to be defensive for her lack of communication. They rewarded me for and extended check out but got charge due to our makeup crew not being done in time which they should have not. I booked a total of4 rooms for god sakes

2022-01-19Very clean and accommodating hotel run by very polite and welcoming staff! I stay here a lot and I’d like to point out an employee that always goes above and beyond to exceed my expectations. Karla at the front desk is nothing short of amazing and personalizes every stay for me all the time. She truly is an awesome employee and is extremely knowledgeable about the Marriott brand as well as on the hospitality end as well. Thank you Karla for always making my stays a wonderful one at the Westbury Courtyard! I appreciate your help and relentless assistance to always make sure I feel at home here!

2022-03-23Its a beautiful place. Completely new feel, very clean. Built in 2016, large rooms. Very pleasant and friendly group sales managers and staff. Best prices on meeting rooms, food a little pricey, Starbuck coffee a plus; I would definitely recommend this hotel.

2022-05-17After traveling for almost 24 hours from London and Delta cancelling my flight home at the last minute at midnight, Marriott pulled through. Of course every other closer hotel was way expensive or way seedy so this was a great cost effective, high quality, albeit a little farther / spendier Uber drive. Very friendly greeting when my tired bones came crawling through the door, clean and comfortable bed.
