I went there to have a battery replaced in a Motorola Droid Turbo 2 (not a super-common phone but they had the battery in stock). I dealt primarily with two gentlemen and both were extremely pleasant and helpful. The gent who actually worked on my phone went out of his way to explain what was being done and updated me during the process and again explained the work that had been done. My phone is again fully functional and I am very pleased.I should note that I had checked into a couple of other shops from Albany, NY to Wappingers, NY, and selected CPR because they gave reasonable time and price estimates. One shop said they could repair my phone in a half-hour (oh really?) and would get a battery off of eBay (!). I was pleased to learn that CPR actually deals with a couple of parts distributors for repair parts instead of buying the cheapest commodity parts available, and CPR just had a more professional manner than the other stores I had researched. I was actually pretty surprised at the amount of traffic in the store while I was waiting and how often they would give free advice to customers or help them contact a manufacturer for a warranty repair. CPR is clearly more interested in a good reputation and repeat business. The only improvements I could suggest are:- free WiFi for those who are waiting;- the ability to leave the technician a tip on the credit card machine when checking out (I thought the dude who worked on my phone was excellent and well deserved a tip);- a customer-accessible bathroom, although few people seemed to actually wait for their phone.Overall a good experience and I would recommend to others. Rereading this it sound a little too gushing, but honestly, I could not have imagined a better outcome than the repair I had done there. It saved me both saving me time and money.
My wife had to get her phone repaired because of a cracked screen. CPR was able to repair on the same day in the time frame promised. We were able to get a refurbished screen for a lot a lower cost. This made it affordable not to replace the phone. I highly recommend them.
I filled out the online form and never heard back. After reviewing the website and reading that other small electronics could be repaired at the shop I decided to stop by after work with my small electronic device that needed repairs. The owner (I assume he is the owner) initially apologized and told me that he only fixes cell phones, tablets and other specific electronics. I was mildly disappointed but pointed out that the website said the shop could repair small electronics. He said it did not and reinforced that it was only phones, tablets and the other specific devices and told me I should check the manufacture warranty. I responded that it was out of the warranty period and I came in because again the website said small electronics. He told me I should have called. Confused I asked why would I call if the information was on the website. He said the website was wrong and I should have called. Now I am annoyed, I took out my cell phone and pulled up the website. I showed him it was in direct contradiction to what he claimed. He continued to tell me I should have called. I told him he needs to fix his website, he responded that I should call corporate. I asked him for the number and he told me he didnt have it. He began to get mad at me telling me I was wasting his time, telling me to leave, and saying he was going to call the cops.So please update your site or realign this owner. I for one can no longer trust that my possessions will be safe or properly repaired at this shop. I also cannot in good conscience recommend that someone bring any device here.In all honesty I would have left sooner and spared him any anger if his explanation was simply along the lines of: Im so sorry the web site does state that, but not all of the franchise locations do that repair. I dont have the tools/brains/experience/ect to do that repair. But instead his response was to blame me and flat out lie about the content of the website.
I tried to post this review on their website several times, but if you notice they only post 5 star ratings. It is not an honest system at all.I had my screen replaced on my iPhone 5 by CPR about a month ago. Within 2 weeks, the screen cracked just by touching it. I didnt drop it; I didnt slam it. I did nothing but touch it. The screen that was replaced was either defective or of very poor quality. It certainly was not up to par as the original screen. I do not recommend CPR because they would not honor my request to replace the screen they just replaced. They just assume it cracked. Very disappointed.
So happy to have found CPR Cell Phone Repair In Wappingers. I was called a few hours after dropping off my Apple tablet and was shocked that the shattered screen was so quickly repaired and at an affordable price! The staff is incredible and I would recommend CPR to anyone and everyone who needs their devices repaired!!
I came in without an appointment with a problem . My iPhone 8 screen went to zoom where I could not change. They took the phone while I waited (at a safe distance) was able to reset the phone. They then showed me how to reset the phone if it happened again. In general they were very helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend then for any personnal eletronic repair.
Avoid this place. Had the hard drive replaced on my iMac here, the screen was not properly reinstalled so I woke up one morning to my screen detached from the desktop. I brought it back to be repaired free of charge since CPR was responsible for the incident. My iMac sat in the box untouched for 3 weeks. When I called repeatedly for what the hold up was, I was told more than one person needs to screw it back together blah blah blah. False. My iMac is the type of model where an adhesive strip holds it together - zero screws - and it only takes 1 person to do it. After 3 weeks of no repairs I requested to pick up my computer, have it repaired elsewhere and send CPR the bill. CPR AGREED. The time came where I finally got my computer back up and running and when I asked CPR how they wanted to settle the bill, they denied responsibility and backed out of paying the measly $130 bill.Avoid this place as they don’t know what they are doing and have terrible customer service. 100% do not recommend.I highly recommend JK TECHS in Newburgh/Beacon as Javier came to the rescue. He had my computer up and running within days and fully explained to me what the issues were and how my screen wasn’t properly reassembled by CPR.
Great experience!! I dropped my cracked iPad off on my lunch break and was told it would take a day or so to repair. I received a phone call within 3 hours telling me it was ready for pickup! Cost me less than if I was to go through insurance and drive to Apple store.
This was the best experience I have had with customer service. Everything that needed to be fixed on my phone was explained and done in a timely manner. I will recommend this to anyone I know that needs to fix their phone. The gentleman that helped me was so kind and caring!
On the two occasions Ive been in, CPR team members have given outstanding service and honest answers. I highly recommend, and make the drive from Montgomery because I trust them. The people here care about the customers, and are not out to swindle you for money. They have given me great DIY advice for my laptop issue, and also had the perfect case for my iPhone. The shop is immaculately clean, and they also offer a military discount with proper ID.
The folks at CPR Cell Phone Repair are professional, kind, courteous, and very generous with their time for their customers. They repaired my iphone and my laptop, and did a great job on both for a reasonable price. They saved me a ton of money in replacement costs! I would go back again in an instant. I highly recommend their services to my friends and associations. Thank you CPR Cell Phone Repair !
Excellent customer service.Friendly, professional, efficient and super fast service. The screen on my mega cracked, initially I had it fixed at a kiosk at the mall. Total waste of money, it cracked again and it was not even installed properly. WELL THANK GOODNESS FOR CPR!!! I came in to CPR to get my mega screen fixed. The order placed, received and fixed in just 24 hours. Phone looks and works just like new!no comparison.. CPR is the place to get your phone fixed!
Was directed from a co-worker to come here. And I must say I am completely satisfied with the work they did on my cracked rear lens on my iPhone6S+. They said around 45 mins but they were done in under 30 minutes. Would definitely come back, best repair place in the Hudson Valley. Prices were reasonable also on used phones and cases as well.
CPR in Wappingers Falls replaced the battery in my iPhone in less than an hour today Friday, 5/8. They also repaired my sons iPhone on Thursday, 5/7. They are a pleasure to deal with and reasonably priced for the quality of work that they perform. I would highly recommend them for the repair of your Cell Phones and other equipment.
I was very happy that this store was able to change my shattered screen a few months ago. The reason that I am rating so low is because what I am not happy about is the fact that they convinced me to buy one of their screen protectors and they promised that they would put it on for me, and they DID NOT! When I picked up my phone, I immediately put a case on and have not taken it off since, so I assumed they put the screen protector on. I just realized now(months later) when I got a scratch on my screen, that they did not put the protector on! I am unbelievably disappointed.
Clean inviting store, its not cluttered with a lot of excess material like many others ive been to. The products they do carry for sale to do seem quality brands. They diagnosed the problem I was having quickly, politely, and professionally. They were also nice enough not to charge for the service, im guessing because it was such a quick fix (fixed within 10 minutes of walking in). I had expected at least some type of diagnosis fee, but they said no, its all good.Nice people, excellent service. Highly recommend
I dealt with Sal from CPR tonight. He was able to fix the screen on my phone in just about an hour and a half! I am very impressed with his professionalism and the overall quality of service that I received. Both Sal and Alyssa, who helped me at the counter, were friendly and courteous. I highly recommend CPR for any cell or computer needs.
The technician was very helpful and offered me more than one solution to my problem.I got my phone back in just a few hours which was awesome!Very friendly and professional! I hope not to have any tech issues in the near future but if I do, I’ll definitely come back to CPR!
The guy that helped me today at the Wappingers store was very helpful and kind. He had great customer service. I’m very heavy on my phone due to my profession so I’m always breaking the screen no matter what, I would definitely come again. I would also recommend this place to friends and family.
Do NOT take your phone in for repair at this shop. Youll give them a working phone that needs slight repair, theyll happily charge you, but then give you back a phone in worse condition, yet do nothing to help rectify THEIR error. You read correctly: they take NO responsibility for handing back to you a phone that is in an even worse condition than how you brought it in, and all due to THEIR mistake. We took our phone to have its rear camera lenses replaced, as the images were smudgy due to the lens cover having been cracked (not the lenses themselves, but the cover). First, they were unable to find and match it with a camera lens of the same color of the phone (they gave us back a gold camera lens casing when the phone is blue - we were willing to accept this first gaffe); secondly, and most importantly, when the phone was returned to us, the camera didnt work at ALL; thirdly, to make matters worse, the front facing camera, which was never broken in the first place, stopped working, too; fourthly, they then tried to blame the phone saying it had a pre-existing issue with the motherboard and they could do nothing about it, which was an outright lie! The phone was in perfect working condition except for the camera lenses needing to be replaced; Lastly, and most shockingly, they offered nothing, not even a refund, to try to rectify the situation and extremely unprofessional.I insisted that they put the old lenses back, and he said that they wouldnt work due to the motherboard being damaged, but that hed try it anyway. Lo and behold, when he put the old lenses back, the phone and camera worked just fine, as they used to, but of course with smudgy images. I, again, had to insist on a refund of our money, it was never offered. If I hadnt insisted on any of this, they wouldve let us go home with a non-working camera on our phone after having spent over $100 to have them repair it. They literally tried to give us back a worse phone after having paid them for their service and then tried to blame the phone when they failed at their job. Unbelievable! Their customer service is appalling as is, obviously, their tech proficiency.
Worst experience with a small business ever! I brought my HTC One M8 there for a screen replacement based on a friends recommendation. The only reason I didnt do it myself is because I knew this phone was particularly difficult, best left to the pros. They assured me they could handle it, but it required more time hence the $200 price. Bottom line-the phone was out of commission for almost 2 months because they broke other things in the process. I finally pulled the plug and now have had to buy another phone. They said they would fix it, but felt I should be ok with them taking as long as they needed. They did refund the money I paid for the screen, but...It was returned to me with a non-functional microphone and ear speaker. The very short version: On the day I was supposed to pick it up they let me know they broke something and needed to order parts. They gave me a “loaner” that turned out to not work. I borrowed a phone from a friend and activated that in the meantime. About 10 days later they gave it to me stating it was fixed and all fine. The screen replacement was poorly done, it was no longer flush with the surrounding trim, but a very noticeable lip now existed, and not even. The GPS, microphone, and ear speaker no longer worked. Thats when it went back to them again. I had to chase them for information every time. You would think in this situation they would give periodic updates. We filed a complaint with CPRs headquarters, but they were useless as well. I will try to post this review on their site, but as others have stated it most likely wont show up there as they only post the most positive ones. Beware! Look at their reviews from their other stores as well. Im guessing the “techs” are of questionable skill.Update, they posted my review on their site, but turned it into 5 stars, theyll probably pull it soon. The 5 star must be automated-shady!Update 2-yep, they pulled my review-at least I took a screen shot while it was up.
EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL!!! Although they were not able to fix my sons iPod Touch, they handled the entire process very professionally. They informed us that the battery may not solve the problem to the iPod prior to leaving it. We went ahead with them having them at least try to fix it. Unfortunately, it needed a charging port as well and the cost to fix it really wasnt cost effective. The gentleman said he spent an hour and half trying to fix it, and because he didnt get the iPod to turn back on he refused to charge us. I will definitely be a future customer as we all know electronics constantly break. Thank you! There arent many businesses that would have handled our situation the way you did.
This was one of the easiest and most pleasant transactions Ive had with a repair center. KUDOs to CPR and Andrew Helpern. If you were actually a cellular service provider, I would be switching to you, even it cost me a few extra dollars. Cant even begin to tell you how nasty and abrupt myt local Sprint Store was. All they wanted was another $650 for a new M8 or contract me for two years.
They replaced my wifes screen on her phone with a defective one. Then would not fix it according to there limited warranty. They told her that they were no longer able to get that screen again, and was not sure if they could. The phone is a Moto x pure edition 2015. They dont care about customer service or satisfaction. They told my wife she must be high maintenance because her phone wasnt perfect. If I spend $170 bucks on a new screen, and you replace it with a defective one. Yeah Im going to want a screen that at the very least isnt defective.
Girlfriends iphone xr paid $200 although amazon charges $100, phone wont turn on, instant blackouts. Phone can click but screen does not turn on. These people need to fix their issues because i could have put $200 down on a new iphone rather then paying $200 for idiots to overcharge and break the phone worse.
Absolutely ridiculous pricing. Walked in to get a small repair done for my galaxy s7 edge and the price to fix it was half the price of a brand new phone. Mind you the crack was in the top corner probably smaller than most phones theyve seen. Oh and I walked in to ask how much it would be and they guy didnt even know he had to ask someone else. Awful service and ridiculous pricing.
Was told by a friend to check out the store before heading to Apple to get it fixed. Walked in around 2:00pm and the staff were pleasant and helpful, their prices were reasonable and I left with a phone that was like new at 3:00pm! The phone had a broken display and it was unusable.
Terrible , I went there to get my screen fixed and they broke my front camera and now my phone glitches uncontrollably sometimes. Im saving up to buy a whole new phone now. I wouldnt recommend coming here to anyone. The only good part is that they only charged me $50 for their services
Spent almost 400$ to repair my cell and iPad, both screens were loose and before I could bring it back my iPad cracked just from picking it up because the screen didnt sit flush, also home button sticks every time I touch it.. Never again.. Paid top dollar to have it done right and received the worst repair I have ever seen

2022-04-05Backstory - my best friends dog decided to chomp on my phone as a chew toy & crack the screen rendering my phone *lifeline* unusable. After walking in they fixed my phone back to her former glory with all important & sentimental information still properly stored. These guys are amazing & super professional. 10/10 absolutely would recommend! Thank you so much again!

2022-03-24These guys are good technicians and the turn around time is very fast for repairs. I use them through my insurance and have yet to be disapionted. They lost a star for me as the last time I was there they wouldnt give me an estimate and forced me to use the website which just seemed to waste time, but it worked out in the end.

2021-07-19I was very concerned that I had destroyed a new, expensive laptop, that did not have a warantee after dropping it on the floor from a high surface. I brought it to Best Buy and what was needed to fix the device was beyond their scope - They recommended this CPR in Wappingers Falls. I am SO satisfied with my experience. The cost was reasonable, the service was transparent and (given my device is an uncommon brand and model) they were able to order and replace the new part very quickly. The staff is also friendly and knowledgeble. I highly recommend this place.

2020-06-25Best cell phone repair shop I in the Mid Hudson Valley. I read reviews and called others first. Upon speaking with this owner I instantly knew he was very knowledgeable and could help me. I was totally impressed with his stores services and repair recommendations. I did ask a lot of questions, I like to know exactly whats involved, my phone is very important to me. The owner was VERY patient with me, extremely courteous, and helped me tremendously. I am EXTREMELY SATISFIED with CPR Cell Phone Repair and recommend them to anyone. His pricing was VERY fair. It is rare these days to find a business you can have such confidence in and I had special circumstances, the owner really helped me out tremendously, I am grateful to him.

2021-09-01Friendly and professional. They repaired my Google Pixel XL which had a shattered screen and weakening battery. Took about a week, since they had to have parts shipped-in, (Pixel XL are old.) They told me it would be ready monday, but they finished it early and emailed Friday that it was ready. Good spot for your cellphone repair needs.

2021-01-05Extremely professional, friendly and fast! My sons Nintendo switch broke and they fixed it as fast as they could (in less than a week) and even stayed late on Christmas Eve, they had delays in part delivery due to COVID and the holiday season but they made sure to have it done on Christmas Eve because I told them it was a Christmas gift. I couldnt be more impressed and happy with their service. They were not overly expensive either and my son is so happy, his switch is like brand new!
