Cracker Barrel Old Country Store in other cities:
Fathers Day was insane. The wait was not that horrible considering. (20 minutes)The seating was like sardines. We literally couldnt move without hitting the people at the table behind us. But our waiter was absolutely amazing! He was crazy busy but made sure to take his time with us and make us feel like we were important. The food was fast and as I said the service was tops. I only gave four stars because of seating. If anyone would need to come in with a wheelchair or anything they definitely couldnt. I would give him 10/10 though !
Never a bad experience! Delicious food, fun shopping and clean restrooms, along with pleasant and helpful staff, make for a perfect travel stop every time. These bathtub rubber duckies are hilarious, havent seen them elsewhere. Cracker Barrel always has something new, fun and unique!
Cracker Barrel can be counted on to deliver quality country breakfasts at a very reasonable cost. We camp a lot, and appreciate what Cracker Barrel offers. Our experience in Cicero was above average. Our server, Renee, was outstanding. Arguably one of the best experiences weve had. Great country breakfast at a great price, with superb service. Cant go wrong.
Its been years since we ate at Crackerbarrel. My husband suggested it. We were seated immediately but it was a good 5 minutes before our waiter acknowledged us. My husband ordered the meatloaf with steak fries and Cole slaw. I ordered the chicken pot pie and a side salad. Dont pass up the corn muffins or buttermilk biscuits. Our meals were warm until we finished eating. I took half of my pot pie home. Cost was reasonable, two of us ate for under $40. No dessert, mixed drinks or beer.
Love Cracker Barrel for family get together’s it definitely beats cooking yourself for a lot of people and the food was delicious. Roast beef was so tender it tasted like it had slow cooked for 12 hours and didn’t need chewing. The bacon was crispy and everything was just well prepared not slopped together as other to-go places do. It would have been nice to sit down inside but apparently covid is in the air EXCEPT for at your table. We don’t wear masks and follow tyrannous rules. How ridiculous is that? Covid stops at your table..
Traditional rustic fashioned eatery....!!!!Classy ambiance as if one is in history, the decor, wall hangs and every thing placed in this restaurant is themed according to old fashioned fashion.Service was courteous & sweet and prompt.food served was hot, freshly baked and tasty.this restaurant has a traditional shop offering wide variety of gift items, browsing here can be fun.the overall experience was great and will certainly visit again.
Pre-ordered a heat and serve meal for Easter. Arrived to pick it up, was told about a system wide computer failure and had to pay for it again, refund for original charge is pending. Not the first time a problem has occurred, but will be the last. Staff was polite and did all they could to help.
The service was good. The store was clean. The food was cold. I ordered eggs in a basket, was supposed to be eggs inside the hole of the bread. Instead it came as eggs on the plate with hardly toasted bread on top of the eggs with the cutout circles on the plate. My son got the hot cocoa that he was very dissapointed freeas it was made with water instead of milk to make it creamy. He also got biscuits and gray.. he said the biscuits were so dry they were hard to swallow and the gravy was very bland. When we got there I was using a walker. It was 9 AM so busy breakfast crowd was done. My grandson put the walker in the corner by out table and immediately the hostess came over and in a very stern voice told us we couldnt put it there. The store was like only 1/4 full at the time. No problem my grandson folded it up and moved it behind an empty chair at our table. Our server was courteous and efficient. The main thing I went there for was fabulous. The cherry coke. Reminds me of my high school days and stopping to get one on the way home. Now with all that said we had gotten Thanksgiving catered in Florida that was amazing. If I hadnt been to Cracker Barrel several times before and in different states, with this experience was my first I would never go to another. I was here visiting from Florida and my granddaughter wanted to take me to breakfast and knew I like Cracker Barrel so surprised me with going there. Susan Fisher
Its hard to critique Cracker Barrel. No, it isnt haute cuisine. This one is just like any other one out there in terms of food quality, which is what youd expect: Sustenance in large portions. Our waitress was excellent though. Great service, so Id hope youd be served by her as well.Got a Christmas tin of Moon Pies from the store to boot.
Family of 5 With 3 kids beware:Cracker per their corp guidelines cannot sit 4 at a table with a high chair against the wall. They will try to split up the family to two tables. 30 ft apart with no care to keep the party close or together. This was the first time in weeks i was able to get a day off and go take my family to breakfast. And to my dismay. The first time ever. I pick the antifamily establishment. Never again.
The waitress herself was very nice and on the ball and made our meal and demeanor more enjoyable vs The older woman who seated us who was rude to the point our party of 7 was about to walk out. She was very unprofessional. She should take her old bitter *ss to another profession if shes going to be rude to customers in a business that only had to other tables that were occupied out of the whole place.. telling people where to sit at the table.
Where do I begin....I cannot believe we paid 10.15 for a small cup of beans and a half a cup of greens and no relish, onion or vinegar...for Ive TEN dollars! THEN, the chicken fried chicken, no gravy. The fries cold. If we didnt drive a big rig I swear wed leave the hotel and go back for a refund. Our places are so limited for eating as it is then when we finally get to stop we get screwed over.
This EXTREMELY rude no necked white dog smellin broad sized woMAN who acted like she ran the place and was telling me she was the the wife of the CEO of all cracker barrel LLC was exceptionally rude and boisterous and called me a no good heathan, but damn was that the best meal I ever had highly recommend because your big fupad staff does not reflect on the quality of the meal 😋
After seeing the tv add showing the pot pie we had to have it so we drove 20 miles to get them to go. What we got was not at all like a pot pie more like somebody vomited in the container. I wish I knew how to post pictures on this site. I also posted to cracker barrell site but they’ve ignored me
I have nothing but good memories of Cracker Barrel growing up and convinced my wife to eat dinner there with 4 of our children. It was busy as expected and the wait was 25 minutes which turned into 35. No biggy. When getting seated another waitress was giving the Maitre D a hard time right in front of everyone, but we were excited for some great food and were super hungry. After ordering we waited quite some time for our food and when it got there my wifes open face roast beef was mostly fat, and her mashed potatoes were like glue. She was so put off she went out to the car with our 5 mth old and told us to finish our dinner. My pancakes were great but my eggs left much to be desired. They were rubbery and tasted fake . The memories I had of Cracker Barrel are sadly a thing of the past . Due to this experience I doubt we will be returning at least not to that location.
First time eating at Cracker Barrel last night. It will be my last. We were quickly seated, no wait time, which was nice. The staff was very nice, except the creepy manager that stood in the doorway to the kitchen staring at everyine eating. That was a little disturbing. After viewing the large menu, I chose the chicken and dumpling, mashed potatoes and corn. I thought it was a pretty safe choice. WRONG!!! The chicken was boiled and flavorless. The dumplings when completely flat and heavy and the mashed potatoes were disgusting, creamy on top, but chunky and a different color on the bottom. The corn was good! Never again, NEVER!!
Cracker Barrel is my parents favorite restaurant. So we chose there for early Sunday dinner. Big mistake, the four of us ordered our meals with no issues. Our meals were served spread out. My mom got the wrong sides. My dad never received his meal. The waitress came back and said his order was missed and it would be a few minutes. 20 minutes later my dad doesn’t have his meal and ours are getting cold waiting. Best part my dad ordered first! Needless to say my dad was upset and left the restaurant without his meal. Spoke with the manager and he gave us my dads meal free and apologized. The waitress had the balls to bring us the check before my dads meal came out😳😡 We paid the bill and left. This trip is usually joyful and delicious sadly not today.
My bacon cheeseburger and fries were fine with me my husband got the chicken fried steak that was tough and overcooked this is an item he has ordered before and never been disappointed in.the hash brown casserole was dry and overcooked and he got the apples which were undercooked not soft at all he asked for replacement for the hash brown potatoes he asked for green beans he didnt receive those. The service itself was fine. We will not be attending this cracker barrel ever again
While the atmosphere was cozy and the servers were nice it saddens me to say I can’t recommend Cracker Barrel. You pay full price for buffet quality food. The made to order dinners taste bland enough to compare to places like ponderosa however it’s not an all you eat. If you want a nice dinner I recommend elsewhere.
We had a wonderful waitress, the prices arent bad at all and the food was pretty good so all in all I would say we had a very nice lunch here. My only complaint is how fast they seem to push you to eat and leave, I would have enjoyed a bit more time to eat our salads and soup before being flooded with the rest of our food. Also on that note for as fast as the food came out my potatoes and gravy were luke warm at best but the fried chicken was delicious so I didnt complain to our super nice waitress. Would definitely stop here again for a meal but will just request some time before the ticket for my main dish was put in next time.
Very impressed with this location. Friendly staff and service. Decided to try the steak tonight for a change. I usually pick the meatloaf but wasnt in the mood. Ive always been a little against ordering a steak from Cracker Barrel being a country cooking restaurant. Best decision I made. The steak was phenomenal. Cooked perfectly and exceeded my expectations by far. Will definitely be getting this again. New favorite!
Not my first choice, but I was pleasantly surprised this visit. Service was good. Food was delicious. Biscuits are a little salty for my taste, but the family loves them. Had a mix up with our order and it was taken care of quickly with no fuss. Overall good experience.
Normally a go to and we understand covid however I brought my 5 year old and 2.5 year old for breakfast we signed in at 945 at 1115 we get called in lucky I brought some snacks we get to hostess n kids are just done then they say sorry no high chairs. We’ll give you a booster, my daughter is just to small I originally signed n said high chair needed. They couldn’t help n manager says if you don’t like it you can leave we only have 12 chairs. We left hungry kids n irritated dad. So much for a special breakfast with my kids. I understand but don’t call us up when I have you our needs.
Crowded which should mean good but we left disappointed. They moved people through quickly and our waitress was very nice. Biscuits were gluey; pancakes were decent but not without their heavily salted butter. Syrup is in individually packaged bottles which was nice but I did not try it. My partner enjoyed the new chicken tender recipe but his grits were terrible and the gravy lackluster. This location is not a good showing for the franchise, well know to only eat at southern locations now.
Always a great experience. Our wait staff was excellent. I did notice one employee that was not pulling her wait..... And her customers were the ones that suffered. She cleaned the table hit and miss style, not good during a pandemic..... then kept pushing her bus tray to the edge, where you could see it coming. Everything fell off and broken glass was everywhere. Then someone else had to mop it up. She was totally the week chain in the link. Glad she wasnt ours. The meal was delivered quickly and our wait staff was beyond excellent. I did share my observations with our waitress.
The service was great. Especially, as it was VERY crowded(which is a bit concerning during a pandemic)! Our server was bright and friendly. She knew her menue and served us well. The food was a little underwhelming tho. I think the only flavoring on any of the food was salt or butter. My steak was under cooked and the greens were just bland. None of it was horrible or inedible, just boring.
Despite the long wait in our car, we got the text, came in, and immediately got sat. Our waitress was so sweet and accommodating! We had a delicious brunch. My favorite are the pancakes with the golden brown edges and REAL fresh maple syrup!! No fake syrup could ever beat that! My mom always loves to get fried okra!! We love to look around the country store before we go. So many cute items, older candies, baby clothes, and so much more!!
We ordered breakfast catering for our company STAR week from the Cracker Barrel restaurant in Cicero. The packaging and food was excellent. The large cardboard totes that they came in were incredibly sturdy, the containers for the coffee were great, and everything came very organized -- plus they supplied plates, cups, utensils, and jams/jellys/butters/syrups. Overall, it was delicious spread with exceptional packaging and I would recommend this to anyone who needs catering for an event.
Food was good but Im only giving this location 3 stars because it could have been cleaner. There was what appeared to be some kids mouth full of half chewed food on the chair, and lots of debris on the floor. Instead of making a show of cleaning menus, someone needs to get a broom or mop, and also clean off the chairs as well as table tops.
Went here my birthday dinner and was very unhappy. the service was very slow and really never around. then burnt one steak and under cooked the other both ordered medium well. sure hope this isnt a re-occuring thing because being from the south cracker barrel is as close as we get to back home food.
We didnt eat here because they had people packed in, literally with chairs back to back. No extra spacing between tables and no tables left empty so we left immediately. My son (vaccinated), my brother (anti-vaxer), and my nephews daughter (just started kindergarten) all just got covid, and infection rate is very high in our area (Northern NY) so its not worth the risk! We were very disappointed in Cracker Barrel.
Wasn’t TOO bad. I like the setup. The choices of food was good. The meatloaf was cold. Wasn’t too impressed about that. BUT my waiter, Stephen, was cool and asked if I wanted to speak to a manager. I declined. It is what it is.I’ll be back for sure. Just keep that meatloaf warm this time...
Long wait time, not sure if it was just because of the holiday. Wait time changed twice ! And still extended the times we were given to wait. We’re seated in the corner with another family of color and our waitress was very nice, but the hosts were terrible! They were rude and my party felt like an outcast the way we were handled. Food was good. But the environment wasn’t comfortable (for us).
Food was great, atmosphere was great, but my server was by far the best part of the experience. Ryan seemed quite dedicated to his position, he quickly took my order and delivered the food to the table as soon as possible. I asked him whether it was possible to for him to bring me some lemon slices for my peach tea and he obliged. Overall, this was one of the best experiences I’ve had at a Cracker Barrel.
Food was ok, waitress however was not. I know we have staff shortages but that was not the case here.... others got good way earlier than us and when it did arrive we had no silverware. She walked by us to drop off a togo container to someone else but no silverware.... had to come make another trip for that, unable to multitask.
Had a nice meal tonight at Cracker Barrel in Cicero, NY. Had a delightful young girl name Sara C (1942449) as our server. Our meal was prompt and as we ordered. Sara checked back with us periodically, filled my coffee and asked how our meal was.We enjoyed talking with her and she made our dinner a pleasant experience.
Took food to my husband in the hospital. Roast beef was awful, fatty, gristle, gravy tasted canned. Asked if they had a cold Stewarts root beer I could buy. They said no only the warm stuff in the gift shop. How can that be, they serve it on the restaurant! Very disappointing!
Well, we called a week ahead and asked if they could sit 9 people together (New York state says groups of 10 and under are allowed), and they confirmed that this was okay. We even CALLED to double check that this was possible. When we arrived, the manager rudely told us that they only sit 7 together. It’s fine if that’s their rules, but to falsely say we all could sit together TWICE goes to show no one really knows what they’re doing. Our server was very sweet, and she’s the only reason why I am not giving one star.
I ordered Cracker Barrel from DoorDash which never got picked up. I ran over to pick it up. Later I received a message from DoorDash that I was receiving a credit bc there was no DoorDasher to pick up the order. I called Cracker Barrel to pay for my order as I had picked up the food. Manager would not accept my payment told me to not worry about it. Never did I expect someone else to pay for my dinner and I can’t thank them enough. We truly enjoy Cracker Barrel’s food. Roast Beef melts in your mouth, tender and tasty chicken strips. Steak cooked to perfection veggies are always good. Service has always been good when we’ve been there. Thank you for being one of our favorite places to eat.
The waiters there mixed up one of our orders and we were allowed to keep the messed up one! Kind of treat if you ask! But the food there was phenomenal! They have a drink called fruit stand tea and its very addicting! Not in a bad way haha, cant wait to go back again!
Food was fair. Sunday chicken now served everyday does not look or taste the same which isnt a good thing. They no longer offer haddock on Fridays but rather some sort of cod cut into 4 strips. Coleslaw was served warm, asked for honey with biscuits but that never came and had to ask twice for sugar for a cup of coffee. The steak fries and salad were good though hence the 2 stars instead of 1.
Friendly staff. Wait time was only 15 minutes on a busy Friday at 7pm. Ordered the Cod Fish Fry dinner that comes with two side for $11. Stake Fries and Cold Slaw were good but the Battered Cod was very low quality and should be upgraded. It was the main dish. Overall, I was disappointed and wont order the Fish Fry again.
Let me start out by saying that the girlfriends meal was okay for her! No lets talk about my meal, weve been to this restaurant several times and this time we were there for dinner so I ordered the meatloaf dinner because it had things in the meatloaf that I like onions and peppers. I also got the mashed potatoes corn, when the meal arrived they look good, but its pretty disappointed with the meat! I truly got one piece of onion and two peppers and whole slice I got the flavor was absolutely terrible they must use the cheapest ground beef they can inquire it wasnt firm when you cut into the piece it just fell apart on your plate pretty disappointed paying $10 for cheap hamburger guess Ill think twice about going back to the cracker barrel! And heres what top the whole cake for the evening our waiter, he came back nice guy asked if we wanted dessert we told him we were both full asked for the check he came back to the table and said the party behind us paid for our meal, I said well thank you Dan well see you later, he laughed took him another 5 minutes out of figure out a new check must have been tired.
Seemed dirty. Our table was sticky. I had to wipe it with water from my glass and a napkin. And my shoes were sticking to the floor.Server forgot to ask us if we wanted drink refills even though she walked to the table and all of our glasses were empty! The customer is not supposed to ask for a drink refill. In the serving/restaurant world it is supposed to be automatic.

Went to dinner with a party of 6. Our waitress was Gloria and she was absolutely wonderful. We can be a fun but sarcastic bunch and she played along with our sarcasm and humor. She was professional, fast and just so friendly and fun. Food was wonderful, no complaints and the recommended dishes didnt fail at all. Food didnt take long to come out and was hot and fresh despite being the later part of the evening when we arrived. We go there often and will continue to do so. If youre looking for a quiet, family oriented place to eat with good prices and great portions, I suggest eating here. Everyone has their favorites but I always stick to the meatloaf dinner and recently tried a bite of my husbands dish..the seasonal fried turkey special. It was amazing.
Crowded when we went in. But, some COVID restrictions had just been lifted and I believe people were just happy to get out and stretch their legs.Cracker Barrel is pretty much the same in Texas as it is in NY.Friendly service, decent portions and reasonable prices. Our service was fast, in spite of the fact that it was crowded. 10 minute wait to be seated on a Friday night wasnt bad.
Food wasnt very good. Got sampler plate. Chicken and dumplings looked like ravioli and had 3 pieces of chicken. Country ham was salty and not edible. Meatloaf wasnt good. I was disappointed. I watched someone bus tables and never sanitized the table. He wiped it down with an cloth. He bused three tables using the same cloth and didnt wipe down any chairs. Not very safe for customers. Wont be going back
There is nothing overly special about the food. Its a decent breakfast place; with a very cute shop in the front. The quality of the food is comparable to places such as Village Inn or Dennys, in my opinion. The syrup does come in small individual bottles, which is really nice, because you arent worried about what sticky grim you might be getting yourself into. We ended up taking them home for the kids. Very family friendly!
The fried chicken was delicious and such a great value! The # of pieces you get in one meal = half a chicken, plus 2 sides and biscuit and/or cornbread, all for $10.79!! Service was also fast & friendly, & when we inquired about purchasing a few more biscuits, they gave them to us at no extra charge. We would definitely go there again. Ive had other menu items before, and everything always tastes just like home made.
Went to Cracker Barrel last night for dinner. My wife and I had the fish dinner with french fries and green beans. The food was absolutely perfect, flaky fish, crispy fries and the green beans cooked with ham hocks. Also the signature biscuits. Service was outstanding, attentive and right on point. A very very pleasant experience. Highly recommend a visit. Price was right along with the rest of the experience, reasonable. Then a little shopping in the store after dinner, just awesome.
As always the cracker barrel is my favorite place to eat when you want to feel right at home and take a step back in time. We did have a party of 5 and we did have to sit at two different tables but it didnt matter it was still a great experience everyone had a delicious lunch very reasonably priced all of the employees were very very nice and its really the only place that I like to go out to eat.
Loved the attentiveness of all the staff—they never try to rush you, they will stop by several times with refills, etc.— the only thing I found disheartening from our usual visits prior to the pandemic was the small portion of our meals. Mine, quite frankly, looked like the children’s offering. I had the special of the day. Is this the new normal? It was good but.........
This location is usually hit or miss, but lately everything has been on point. Hot food, served fresh, and just the way you remember it. Adam the server is absolutely wonderful and my family has gone a couple times this month and he immediately remembered us. Not sure if its new management or new cooks, but we see a great improvement and will keep coming for brunch!
Always just good comfort food here. Nothing fancy but just delicious. We ordered the fried chicken which was crispy and not greasy at all. Also the fish fry is always a delicious treat on Friday. I just wish I had saved room for dessert because they had my favorite ..banana pudding 😊
The best comfort food ever. The servers are super nice, and if you go often they will start to learn your name and orders.Food is amazing, everything tastes great and even better is the cheap cost for how much food you get.My favorite is the chicken fried chicken with 3 sides of macaroni and cheese.Excellent food.

2022-05-03First time here! I loved it, the food and service was awesome. When I first walked in it looked like a gift shop and you continue into the restaurant part of it. The waitress was new but was being trained one on one which was great to see. A nice little diamond in the rough. Most definitely recommend this place!!!

2022-06-26My family and I had a great experience! We were a party of 16 people after my sons graduation. Our server was very attentive, always had a smile, and a great attitude! The manager also helped her take orders and make sure we were happy! The food came out so fast and was great! We all loved each of our dishes so much that we did not have many to go boxes! It was also my daughters birthday and the staff got together to give her a sundae and sing happy birthday! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience and memories!!

2021-10-30Im here at the restaurant right now with my family, and I gave it 1 start because theres no less than that. We been to many many cracker barrel restaurants but this one is the bad, all others have been Excellent. Food was cold and burned, sausage and bacon bounce of my plate cold hard like it had been re-cooked . Pancakes are burned and hard.

2022-05-07I will admit that I had always kind of shunned Cracker Barrel as being a bit of a hick phenomenon. But today, after living 10 minuets away from one for the last 13 years, I finally gave in. WOW, AM I GLAD I DID. First of all, its not a Hometown-Buffet/Golden-Corral kind of place like I thought it was. The menu is mostly comfort food (that is good - thats what we were after), but it purports to all be freshly homemade, which beats made en mass and sitting out in a steam table for an hour or two any day. We had a server trainee, but she turned out to be delightful. The manager was great - he came over to assist with some food allergy questions we had re: my son. Everything was clear, and he was knowledgeable, and when he didnt know something, he found out.Food-wise, the two of us STUFFED OUR FACES FOR ONLY $30. Are you kidding me? These days, two people could spend $30 at Subway. But we got TWO full meals, EACH with two sides, AND biscuits and cornbread, PLUS a full breakfast platter. Heres what we got: Roast beef with mashed potatoes and macncheese, plus biscuits ($12). Chicken and dumplings with macncheese plus a side of fried apples, plus corn muffins ($8 - yes you read that right... EIGHT DOLLARS). And a breakfast platter with THREE large pancakes, two eggs, and bacon ($10 - which I actually think was pricier than it needed to be). We did both order only ice waters; the last thing I needed was soda with a ll that heavy fare. But the bill came to only $30 and change before taxes ($32.91 after). WOW!Food ratings: The roast beef was tender but a bit dry, but it was in an onion gravy that helped. Flavor was understated, but pleasant. I give it a B/B-. The mash was good - I gave it a B+, my son gave it an A+. Im crazy about their macncheese - solid A, maybe an A+. The fried apples were a solid B/B+. The biscuits were great - an A, though the corn muffins (the menu said cornbread, I was bummed out that they were corn muffins, and not sweet, with whole pieces of corn, like the cornbread I usually like) were only just good-ish - B/B-. The pancakes were SUPER - an A for sure. And the bacon was well cooked, and the eggs were a perfect sunny side up without too much runny white on top or too much crisp on the bottom - a very hard balance to achieve! All in all, the food was a solid B+/A- in the aggregate... but the Chicken and Dumplings - the cheapest, and for my money, maybe the best, thing on the menu - pulled it up solidly out of B territory and into the A range.Very glad I came, and will DEFINITELY be back!!

2021-09-08Cracker Barrel definitely isnt trying to appeal to a hip, young crowd of any sort. In fact its quite the opposite but that doesnt matter. The food is absolutely delicious and incredibly affordable. Lots of people argue about the best place to get fried chicken. Well turns out its Cracker Barrel. I got two white meat cutlets, battered and fried, smothered in gravy, with 3 delicious sides AND biscuits and cornbread for under $13.00!!! And that chicken was so tender I could cut through it with a butter knife in just one cut! I wish I went years ago. It is much tastier than the competition. And as a bonus the service is phenomenal.

2021-11-26If I could give no stars I would. I went here for Thanksgiving one the food was cold ! I sent it back then they came back with the same plate that he told me they put in the oven to warm it up ?? Then he brought the corn muffins out and as you see this is what they looked like. Paul the manager stated the food was from the morning line . He did nothing to compensate us. I felt as if he didnt even care about the service or lack of .I will never go here again. This ruined my whole Thanksgiving day !
