My daughter had so much fun. She made a glittery airplane and a sparkly runway. And she made some colored squares with sun strips and glitter. She made lots of friends and had the best week.
On Friday July 1st, 2022 at 12:37pm CWAS turned into any parent’s nightmare. My daughter is a returning student who enjoyed learning animation with Maxwell last year and ended last week being abandoned and unsupervised as the buildings fire alarms and sirens sounded loudly overhead. All staff members and children were at Dumbo eating lunch. No one missed her or even realized she was left alone. She feared for her life and safety while begging me for help on FaceTime and I called 911 for help and rushed over to get her. To add insult to injury, not one staff member or the owner has reached out to ask about her well being or health after leaving her life in danger and with such a traumatic ending. It’s been one week. This experience is any parent’s nightmare.
My daughter has always been reluctant to join afterschool activities, but she absolutely loves Creatively Wild. Shes started to really identify as an artist and to value making and creating in a truly heartening way.
My daughter loves art summer camp so much! The teachers are wonderful and she brings home more art than we know where to hang up - I highly recommend Creatively Wild!
DM, Mara, and the wonderful team at Creatively Wild have hosted two of my sons birthday parties (at 4 and 7). Im happy to share there is simply no better place to host a childs birthday party in Brooklyn. The space is magical, the parties are carefully organized and decorated, and the kids always have a blast. No generic venue vibe here. Cant recommend highly enough.
My office did an in person class at Creatively Wild as part of a team building retreat. We had such a wonderful experience there and the teaching artist was wonderful! It was so nice to leave our retreat with a fun, artistic gift wed created. Would definitely recommend!

My daughter absolutely loved it here! A great way to spend spring break. Every day she brought home something she was proud of. The staff couldn’t be nicer!
Daughter loves creatively wild. We went with one session of animation camp and she was begging for more!
We had our daughters 4th birthday party here and it couldnt have been better. The space themed art project was perfect. Great space with a dance floor. The owner DM went above and beyond decorating the party and she and the employees were very attentive to each of the children. All of the kids had a great time and each left with their art project masterpiece 😊 and amazing goodie bags. Highly recommended.
My 5 year old went to art camp here and had an amazing time. She still talks about it. The staff are nurturing and flexible and they have fantastic projects for the kids; paintings, sculptures, even animation. It was a wonderful experience.
My 3 year old has been taking toddler’s art classes at Creatively Wild for more than 1 year. The team led by DM are wonderful. They are patient and encouraging and most importantly, the kids love it, it’s such a fun way to open their little minds to various forms of art. My daughter asks for classes with DM all the time. We started with in studio classes last year, and this year due to Covid we have been taking virtual lessons on Zoom, both formats are great and I would highly recommend this studio to anyone, kids or grown-ups.
Finding this studiohas been the greatest moment of serendipity. This is a real gem tucked away in NYC now accessible to everyone through online classes.This studio is truly a hidden gem. I take landscape painting classes with Chris Anderson. She is a wonderful teacher. She is an accomplished artist and accomplished teacher who teaches college students full courses as well. I get not only painting lessons from her but art history, cues to art appreciation and a full spectrum experience. The classes are flexible and drive the fine balance between self discovery and teacher critique and instructions. Chris is wonderful working with all age students and I can see everyone from a casual painter to a serious student get value from these classes.The online experience has been great and despite the challenges thatvare obvious to online instructions the studio has worked out all the small things to make it work.I started with 4 classes with the intent to go off on my own and five months later I am still here.I would highly recommend this studio.
We loooooove this place. My 5 year old son takes ‘cartoon character design and comic book story boarding’ classes here with Sally and he looks forward to it every week. Both DM and Sally are warm and friendly, not to mention very knowledgeable and talented artists themselves. Highly recommend!
I hosted an Art birthday party for my nephew. The kids had the best time. The instructors keep the kids busy and creating art the whole time. Plus the kids got to take the art home after the party . I would defiantly recommend it for a kids birthday party. I am also planing a friends adult birthday party.
My daughter had her 3rd birthday here and everyone had a blast! DM and her crew were excellent in getting the kids to participate and the kids made such nice art work to take home. Definitely a worth while experience.
I was tasked to find a space for a creative department offsite for the ad agency I work at. I was so happy to find this space. Kelly was AMAZING and accommodating. We had a pretty small budget, but she really stretched it to the distance. She provided bar tenders and a dj as well as had all sorts of delicious snacks for us to munch on in addition to screen printing stations. This place is totally great for a group function of 20-70 people. Kelly seriously rocks.
My daughter Momoko took teen class last fall. It was a customized intensive high school audition course - making portfolio and preparing audition. She went 3 times a week, 2 and +hours each time, in 2 month. She made more than 10 fantastic art pieces.DM gave her encouragement and great support that Momoko was be able to complete the requirements in such a short time.As a result -Momoko got in one of top art school in the city, LaGuardia high school!Thank You DM!! And thanks to all techair who taught Momoko.Love you all!!!
Audrey, 7 became a prolific painter, and has come to identify as a working artist. I especially love her 3D whale made of paper mache and plaster of paris. Henry made a working light sculpture made of welded metal and an amazing sunsets in another galaxy. DM and her team are a joy for kids to work with and all the kids there are fantastic.

I love Tylers oil painting classes. Ive been going for almost a year now -- Im so glad I found this place! Its been a joy every week to come after work and have this relaxed, welcoming space for me to paint and do something creative on week nights. Highly recommend!

2022-09-13I took the Beginner Drawing Classes with Tyler as my instructor and he’s super great!! So patient to answer all my questions and with demos too. Makes drawing feels like an even more exciting process every time I come to the studio. I came back for another cycle now and he’s helping me step it up with my techniques. Very kind and fun teacher. 2022-02-01This place is absolutely amazing! I’m so glad that I found them. My 11 year old daughter like other kids, has been dealing with some anxiety issues since the Pandemic started. She has always love to draw and when feeling anxious grabs a piece of paper and start drawing.. The studio is like a safe heaven for her. She just loves coming here.. Her teacher, Charlie is amazing, as she describes him..Thank you so much Creatively Wild Art Studio!! 🤗🤗

2022-06-18My daughter has been a part of Creatively Wild for many years and when it was time to prepare for her high school portfolio, there was no doubt in my mind where we should turn. I can say with complete confidence that the folks here are the real deal. They respected my child’s artistic vision while pushing her to learn and grow and she’s a better artist for it. They are like family to me and they truly took my kid under their wing and will continue to do so as long as it’s possible. She’s been accepted to a wonderful consortium for high school and I assure you that is because of the guidance she received from the studio. If you have a passionate, curious, artistically minded kid, this is your place!

2022-08-17I took my 7 year old niece to a 2 hour private painting class for a special trip in NYC and we had a lovely time. The teacher, Charlie, taught us to paint a landscape in Bob Ross style which was exciting to my niece because she had a book on Bob Ross. Both our paintings came out great and she was so excited to show her mom and dad what she made. Charlie also gave My niece a blank canvas and inspired her to paint her cat when she gets home. We had a great time, learned new skills, and got inspired to paint more! I think my niece will ask me to take her back next time she visits NYC!

2022-03-19Had the best time! This place is creatively awesome! My niece and I went for a private lesson and we learned a ton, experienced new techniques and had an analyzing fun time along the way. The studio is awesome and the owner and manager are beyond accommodating. Would highly recommend this place for fun as well as for learning. They are a 5 star studio in every way. We will be back!

2022-04-07We hosted my daughters 5th birthday party here and it was fabulous! We did the graffiti theme and all the kids came away with the coolest original artworks to take home. It was unique and creative and so fun. Rave reviews from kids and parents! Thank you!

2022-07-25Had a great day drawing and coloring in the park. Our group of 22 teens were situated in between the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges and were inspired by our instructor Tyler and the view, even those who don’t like art. Was a really good time. Would definitely recommend and definitely repeat this with future groups I manage. Thank you Mara!!

2022-07-27My kids adore this place. Best staff and the kids always come back with new ideas on how to make art from everyday objects. The art and stop motion animation camps for kids are hidden gems and great ways to beat the July heat.

2022-08-09I attended an oil painting course last night and was overall impressed by the experience. The instructor was patient and offered students suggestions while giving them enough space to confidently explore their own skill. The space was welcoming. I will be registering for another course asap.
