Visited with a large group from the City, and had an absolutely great time! The staff was awesome, prompt, and extremely helpful and accommodating. Great selection of drinks. The food was fast and absolutely delicious - would highly recommend the chicken tenders and potato skins! Thanks for a great time - and will definitely be back!
The first time I came here was their first year. Nearly 30 years later, I found myself here when visiting the island to watch the Islanders. Ill say whats always been true about Croxleys. This is a kickass, hits all the marks, real deal bar. Great service, amazing food, and 10 cent wings man!!! No, not anymore on the 10 centers but theyre still the best wings around. And what a burger. Kudos to the owner for keeping it as good as it always was. Islanders/Tampa ...Im there.
Great place to go for some beer and wings and catch a game. Lots of TVs and so many choices of beer including a lot of specialty and micro brews. Love to stop here for a quick lunch when Im in the area. Love the wings, but there is so much more goodness on the menu. Just dont over order on the wings... When you get the special, there are no doggie bags without a surcharge.
Note: I havent been here in years, so I cant speak for the current state of affairs. Im going from fond memories:This places has the best buffalo wings Ive ever had. The curly fries are great too. I hear they make an incredible hamburger, but Ive never ordered it because Im addicted to the wings. They have an amazing selection of beer.Their cry-like-a-baby sauce tastes great, but it HURTS. Approach with caution.Service there used to be incredibly slow. I dont know if thats still the case.
This is my regular go to neighborhood bar. Friendly staff and good food. Good deals on wings Monday,Wednesday and the weekends. There shrimp poboy is delicious and they are very generous with the portions. The mussel pot is for 2 people and rich in flavor. Try the thin man brewery beer if you like pale ales.
For a Friday night, it was pretty busy. However, our waitress got us our drinks right away, and then we didnt see her for a half hour.Food wasnt great either honestly. Dont order the boneless wings, they were undercooked.Of course they had a great selection of beers, but when I wanted to order a second one, we couldnt to.d our waitress to ask her. Another one if the girls took my order, but it was still another 15 minutes before my draft beer arrived.
Im horrible with names, but went for lunch was attended to by a waitress with the most beautiful eyes!!! She was super attentive! Kept coming to ask us if everything was acceptable, several times! Only downside, which is major, is that parking is HORRIBLE!!! I was lucky to find parking about 2 1/2 blocks away. Beer wasnt cold to my liking, but I didnt complain because waitress was awesome! Location location location...
Great place for both dinner and drinks. Many TVs for sports games. Tons of seating and bar top space. The selection of beers is very large and reasonably priced. Came here with a groupon deal but will definitely come back again even without it. Parking can be difficult but look around the block. The policies on carding, Im not sure about. My friend came here for dinner with a few guys and they carded at the door. But when I came on a weekday around 8pm no one carded us and there were kids eating dinner with their parents.
My favorite Place so Im extremely Bias. As staff changes, Ive gone less but thats due to me missing the people Ive developed a good Bartender/semi drunk guy relationship with. Its one of few places Ive gone to and made outstanding friendships outside of the Venue. They do all the basic right as far as food, service and attentiveness.Thats my friend in the photo. He is an artist ( bigbrian718) who doesnt Drink but still enjoyed sitting at the bar with myself and our other friend as we explored the dozens of Beers both on and off tap. Youngs Double Chocolate has been my favorite there for years and its nothing like having a fresh, full bodied and creamy glass poured. ....Now I want a beer at 5am.
Above and beyond. This was my first time at this Croxleys location but it will definitely not be the last. I made an order for pickup on Saturday night and upon arriving found out that there had been a slight mistake made with the order and I would have to wait another 10-15 minutes for the order to be corrected. Although initially upset, the staff and management did not take this lightly and did their best to rectify the situation ASAP. In my eyes they definitely did that and I cannot recommend them enough because of how this was handled. Weve all had bad experiences where a mistake is made on a food order, but the level of customer service I received as a result of that error was above and beyond most big corporations would handle it and for that I applauded them, especially Maureen who apologized for the inconvenience and went out of her way to make it right. On top of all that, the food here is excellent and was just as good, if not better than other Croxleys locations we have visited. We will be back!!!
Food is by far not the best, maybe if your having drinks and your taste buds have been compromised lol. The problem with pubs like this one is they offer way too much than they should. Maybe if they reduced the menu they could focus on the quality rather than the quantity. Great if your meeting with friends for drinks but stick to burgers and fries.
Service was absolutely terrible. Ordered cajun fries there was no spice to it. Asked the server to bring me cajun seasoning. Told me fries were preseasoned. Instead of offering to replace the fries they asked me if i would take regular fries. With salt and pepper the regular fries they brought were spicier then the cajun. We were also sat at a table that didnt have enough space on it. I would have ordered more food because i was hungry but there was no room for it. The mac and cheese had no flavor to it. The only redeeming quality was the burger came out rare like ordered.
First time back here in years & it didnt disappoint. Had the standard fair of nachos & wings to start followed up by the Firemans burger. They wings were perfectly crisp, the nachos wonderfully cheesey. The burger was phenomenal to teh last bite. This was paired with an Ithaca apricot ale
Was at Franklin Square Croxley Original Ale House last night for 40 th surprise birthday party ,we had about 18 people ,the seating arrangement was good ,the beers ,wings, crispy fries with cheese ,the steak ,pork sandwiches (ask for dipping gravy) and did I mention beers already ,what an extensive selection, the finger food was great !😎The greeter was cordial and the main waitress and waiter were great , I believe the waitress was Iris, was very helpful with any specials available, her prompt service with the libations ,food service and clean up was outstanding along with all other tables being serviced by Croxleys team, great atmosphere ,large enough dining area and bar ! Lets not forget the people in the kitchen dont know who you are but food was prepared great and served toasty and hot,it was my first time here, was impressed.😀😆😉😶🤓😨🍗🍺🍻
I eat at different croxlys all the time this has been my worst experience so far. First the waitress kept asking me questions I already gave her the answer to to the point I was getting pissed but didnt wanna yell I was out with my family. Next she try to play me cause I am a big guy I guess dont know if it was intentional but I had asked for a coke she then goes diet coke? lady I know you heard me correctly it wasnt that loud, I then get the drink and it tasted horrible dont know if it was diet anyways or it was just bad but I had to have em take it back. Then I already pointed out to my family since I worked at restaurants and hotels that if the place was poorly lit and dimmed its cause the food was bad... And I was correct, I always eat all my food especially at croxlys I couldnt even finish my fries and the only reason I ate my meal was cause I havent eaten anything since breakfast but anyways I ordered boneless wings with Asian Sauce or whatever and the chicken was overcooked to the point the chicken was hard wouldnt b surprised if they microwaved it and then they covered it in sauce and I know another member ordered mussels and it didnt taste on point either meaning it had no flavor or taste. The burger was decent and juicy but Ive had better. We all had a bad taste in our mouth about this place when we left and I can say the only other goood thing was the two hosts, very nice very conforting and helped us everytime we got. I get followed by other croxlys online plan on sharing this post to them as well.
What a horrible experience, I came with my older cousins who are 23 and they would not let them drink because a minor was at the table?! On top the waitress was so rude and disrespectful...First and last time going and the manager was just as disrespectful as waitress just looked like a troll!
An old ale house that has a vast selection of brews. There are several television screens that have different sports channels on that you can watch the most current games on. On certain days they have an incredible deal of .50 per wing (minimum of 8 with an order of 5 dollars drink) with a great selection of flavors, u would recommend the Korean bbq flavor and for the not so fait of heart and lack of feeling in the mouth typw person, try the insanity hot cry like a baby flavor (I love hot food but its over the top, ask to try the sauce before you embark on this journey)
We had a great brunch at Croxleys in Franklin Square today to celebrate a 75th birthday. We were a group of 20 which included 5 children, & they accommodated us wth no problem. The staff was very attentive & cooperative. The food delicious & there were some new & interesting items on the menu - we highly recommend Croxleys ( FS ).

2022-06-22The food is always good and it’s a great atmosphere. But unfortunately I don’t recommend Michele she is rude. She doesn’t have a care in the world on how she treats her customers. Not only did she give attitude to me but to my children who were nothing but nice to her.

2022-06-21Nice place and good burgers.I would have given it 5 stars if we it wasnt for our waiter whos attitude, demeanor and appearance was not a good fit with a pub environment.

2022-05-26Took 15 min to get a beer with only 2 others at the bar. When I finally A HEMED loudly enough to get the bartenders attention, she said I needed to wait until she was done texting her boss. Horrible customer service.

2020-10-02Best wings in the world. Ask for cry like a baby and say goodbye... More beers than you can shake a stick to.Must mention that Michele is the most professional Ive ever met. Choose your beers from the list dont ask and waste her time. Do research at home then come in...

2021-12-27Had a hankering for wings after work and this place came highly recommended by a coworker, who is a local to the area.To start, the world famous wings left quite a bit to be desired. First off, they wouldnt let me split sauces on a 12 piece. Every other wing place Ive ever been to would have. But its not a huge deal, so I got an 8 piece instead. They came out quick, but were lukewarm at best, borderline cold. And the sauce was mediocre at best. Ive had much better wings and much better sauce.Plus, the boneless wing pricing makes no sense. $11.25 for an 8 piece or $22.75 for a 16 piece. Its 25 cents cheaper to do 2 eight piece orders. Also, the bartender was nice enough, but seemed to care about everyone else at the bar more than me. I get it, it was busy, so well chalk it up to that. I got my phone, so I could keep myself entertained anyway. One big plus, however, is the beer selection. Its a very enticing selection with some very hard to find beers and for that, they definitely deserve an extra star.Maybe it was just a bad night, but I went out of my way to come here. If I come back, hopefully itll be better next time. And I will update my review accordingly.

2021-08-24My go to place in my neighborhood. I wont eat wings from anywhere else. Irish Nachos are the bomb. Great selection of rare and seasonal beer. You can never go wrong with Croxleys. The bartenders are the best too.
