Rented thirty foot rv from this location and the generator, heat, and burner on the stove did not work. Also, the rv was unsafe to drive, had about three inches of play in the steering wheel and was all over the road. Called Paul at this location and made him aware of the problems with the rv, he told me he would call me back. I called again after a week of no returned call, and left a message with one of his employees, to please have Paul return my call. These people never got back to me and that is just bad business. Do yourself a favor and dont rent an rv from this location
RV was clean and running well. The walked thru of the RV and explanations was very helpful. Benny was awesome! My only reason for 4 stars is the RVs are older! 5 stars for Service from the store, Benny and the call center!! 4.5 stars for the RV. We are looking to buy but wanted to see if the standard size (Class C) RV is a good size to live in and enjoy while traveling. We did enjoy it and now looking forward to RVing in the near future again.
Paul is AMAZING!! I was having such a hard time planning my vacation. He told me jokes and made me laugh. I really liked him. His camper was very nice as well.
Rented RV for a trip to Florida. Staff was extremely helpful and our experience was the best. It was pleasure to do business with this location and we would highly recommend anyone who would like to explore Camping. I WOULD GIVE 10 STAR TO CRUISE AMERICA BAYSHORE

Stay away from these thieves and liars i returned the rv charged me for sewer and cleaning fees 125 but if i pay cash its 90 sure enough i get bill they charged my credit card and took 90 cash and now playing games never again using them

2021-11-29Gold star experience! Staff were friendly, helpful and super accommodating. We rented the 25 foot RV. Very new…2020 and only approximately 35k miles. VERY clean…and that’s by my germaphobe standards. No problems at all with the 1700 mile trip. Everything in great working order. We needed heat on a couple of cold nights and it did not disappoint. Also, hot water came up very fast. Shower was a definite plus as was the new microwave. Bed is very comfortable . I had no problem getting sheets to stay put, but I put a mattress cover down first. Also some nice large throw pillows …really cozy. Plenty of lights and well placed. Is it noisy on bumpy highways? Of course, but there are ways to quiet that…we placed towels in the noisy spots and removed the plate in the microwave while we were driving. Also put carpets down on the floor. That really did the trick.We definitely will be renting from Cruise America in BayShore again. It is really clear these guys maintain their vehicles extremely well. What a great experience for us! Thank you 😊

2019-06-05Rented the standard RV and took it to Pocono Raceway. Let me tell you it was the best time ive had. First ill start off by saying that the employees at the Bay Shore, NY location are awesome really went into detail on the previous damages before the lot and wrote it down, really went into detail about how everything works and make me confident about it. I then left the lot and went home and packed it up, alot of room for everything. I left to go to the track and it was super easy to drive, even when i was stuck in 5 hours of traffic leaving New York but once i got out it was smooth sailing and it did not feel like i was driving a truck. When we got there i was able to connect to electric and set up camp. It was very comfortable and roomy with 4 grown adults in there. Coming back they went over everything and were super nice and i will be renting from them in the future

2021-07-21The guys were nice enough however we did have some problems with the RV. After we drove off I started noticing cigarette smoke in the RV. Decided to just roll with it until that first night when I realized how bad and irritating it was and ended up sleeping outside because of it. Also found some other minor problems with the RV such as a the folding table was broken, there was a water leak under the doorway and one of the burners didnt work. After bringing it back a week later and addressing the cigarette smoke they asked if we were the ones who were smoking because it was sitting on their lot for four days. They then said they would not charge me the standard cleaning fee for the inconvenience however we did return it clean so not feeling like they did us any favors.

2021-01-11Rented a standard RV with my partner and dad. Not cleaned well before giving to us. Refrigerator door kept swinging open on drive, lots of clanging from stove which is incredibly annoying having to hear on a drive lasting from NY to FL and then FL to NY. Lots of rattling. Also was told by a couple people when booking safe and compatible for car seats for a baby under one years old. That is false. Not compatible for rear facing car seat. I was told by someone that lots of people travel with their babies under one through this company and don’t have problems with their baby being faced the way their car seat system is set up. Car seat shifts if you are on a bumpy road. Definitely not the safest. I would definitely recommend booking a motor home that is attached to a car. Much safer for your little one! Definitely wish I had researched more about car seats and the RV prior to getting on the RV since this company clearly doesn’t know anything about the safety of having an infant on the RV.

2021-02-18Renter Beware. Rented an RV from here and was told all systems on it were inspected and working, THEY WERE NOT! Did not have use of water the entire trip. Customer service and the rental location kept blaming the other and NOTHING was done to rectify the issue with the RV til the last day of my trip. Someone from this location actually tried blaming me for the problem with their RV. Still waiting for a return phone call from this location. Once they get your $ they could care less. Be careful when dealing with this place!!

2020-08-14I was skeptical to rent an RV because I was told that pets were allowed and I have horrible allergies to pets! However, I have to say that they must have done an excellent job cleaning it because I did not have any reaction at all. It was a great family road trip and much especially during this time of social distancing. I don’t remember the persons name, but the service was friendly and helpful.

2020-07-06Upside: we were 15 mins late returning and the person on the phone was nice about it, suggested places for gas etc.Downside: we were charged for not cleaning a very small amount of cat hair (shorthair) and some small debris on the floor - even though the vehicle was in very good condition inside and out on return. They wouldn’t even let me borrow a broom sitting right there to sweep it out to avoid the fee. Be prepared to pay up to $250 in fees if you don’t stop to get your RV professionally cleaned before dropping off at this place.

2021-02-25Rented an RV from Bayshore location. Great customer service. My husband and I went with two children. It was our first time renting an rv. It was fun. We would most certainly do this again but in the summer time. We will certainly be using this Bayshore location.

2018-01-04You get insurance with the rental, but there is a $1000 deductible that they charged me for minor damages the entire thing as if I totalled the RV. Also charged me other extra fees when I dropped it off without saying a word about to me before I left. They charged a late fee when I was on time, even though they promised that they would refund me that but its been over a week and still have not received it. They charged me a cleaning fee without telling me they would. If they wouldve told me that my cleaning job wasnt good enough I wouldve stayed a couple of minutes to clean instead of taking another $50 charge. STAY AWAY!
