Crunch Fitness - Bellmore in other cities:
I’ve been working out for decades & thought I knew it all until I met trainer Jonathan C. in Bellmore. His workouts are always fresh and he is great at motivating throughout the session. A total pro that stresses proper technique and he mixes up exercises for maximum benefit.
My trainer Jonathan Corbo is the best! Ive been training with him for a couple of years now and he continues to challenge me and encourage me during every session, as well as give me suggestions on what I can do on my own. He gives me advice on nutrition and just living a healthy lifestyle. Couldnt ask for a better trainer!
Never been much of a gym person but on a whim (and a new years resolution LOL) I signed up for a membership at crunch, I did a few weeks solo but definitely was intimidated by all the machines so I decided to take advantage of the free 1 hour training session. I was paired with Jonathan C and fate couldnt of chosen a better trainer for me. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about fitness but he keeps it fun, and adjusts to my changing skill level. Jonathan C has never pressured me to sign up or use my sessions and even tries his best to find the best deals and work within my budget. My favorite thing about Jonathan C isnt how hard he makes me work or the new and interesting workouts we do each session, its his character. Training for almost 3 years he has kept me in the loop about changes with covid, been understanding when health/ personal issues arise, and even remembers my birthday. I genuinely appreciate his efforts in making me comfortable in the gym and I have been able to pass some of that confidence and knowledge into my solo workouts. 10/10!
My sister went to this gym for the first time two days ago , she has never been to any gym in her life before. She went w my other sisters boyfriend who has a membership at crunch. He was showing her how to use the machines as anyone would do w someone who is going to the gym for the first time. The manager Anthony approached them and said there is a no training policy at the gym , which is 100% understandable. My sister and my sisters boyfriend explained that he was not training her and just showing her how to use the machines. Again she has never been to a gym in her life. Anthony basically called them liars and threatened to cancel my sisters boyfriends membership and walked away. Completely rude and uncalled for.I think the owner of this gym should look into how Anthony handles members.Probably best to find another gym
Crunch Gym unfortunately is not what it used to be. I used to enjoy going here with friends from high school but they all left and went to Onyx and Synergy and I now see why. The front desk staff is constantly rude and give my guest and I gnarling stares every time we walk in and even sometimes they will question me regarding my membership cancellation (was paying $300 monthly for personal training lessons at Crunch and they were hinting that I could not afford to keep up with payments). When I went to cancel my membership, I received a confirmation receipt and WAS STILL CHARGED by them, the personal training manager, who told me something completely different than what the personal trainer who signed me up did. When I tried to reach him, it took almost 3 days to hear back as the manager also was unavailable (great management!)Aside from all this, the gym became super crowded and no one wears masks nor cleans up after themselves as we are in the midst of a new variant for Covid and should be placing a larger emphasis on cleanliness. I truly hope the best for Crunch as they are a small business owned by local families, unfortunately, their staff and management are what are causing them to lose loyal and paying customers.
Training with Jonathan keeps getting better and with amazing results. He helped me get strong and overcome a hip and back injury after 4 months in Physical Therapy. At 63, I was always fatigued and depressed at my lack of stamina. Thanks to Jonathan, I’m getting stronger and I have so much energy! He knows his stuff! Jonathan is an asset to Crunch Bellmore.
Signed up for a membership but they never disclosed their lack of a mask mandate. You can apparently go there and breathe on anyone you want. I would think a place that you attend for your health should not be a super-spreader event. When asked to end my membership, they refused to refund my $59.00 maintenance fee. I regret ever stepping into that place
Best gym I’ve found in terms of friendlyness of employees, excellent childcare experience (all the girls are so good with my little one) and they have GREAT classes with the nicest trainers! I wanted to try the gym first and they let me get a three day pass and even use the daycare and try a class with the pass. I signed up on the second day of the pass because I just loved the friendly employees and everything about the gym!!!!! It’s also very clean which is super important during these trying times.
I always enjoy going to this gym its always well maintained and organized. Great staff do an incredible job of keeping it clean and stacked with the supplies needed by all Ashley the morning manager does a great job checking everything and over seeing that alls is on point. Best gym Ive ever been to.
Crunch used to be wonderful. Unfortunately, some of the new instructors are not as engaging or creative in their routines as the ones that led classes pre pandemic. Also, certain more popular Zumba instructors are running very overcrowded classes. My understanding is that some are allowed to bring friends and followers from other gyms. These guests take over much of the room leaving those of us who pay for membership at crunch trying to squeeze together in the back of the room.
Im not too impressed so far. The gym parking lot in Bellmore is very small for the amount of people inside so its difficult to park and the classes are overcrowded--especially during Covid! They should have continued to limit the class sizes, if they had been doing that at all since Covid (not sure.) Noone seems to wear masks and after going only once at the time of this review, the place seems to be a little impersonal because so many people are there. Ill rewrite this if I get a different feeling over time if I decide to purchase a regular membership. I just took the free three day pass for now. Wish that more Nassau County locations would open after the East Meadow one does especially near Carle Place where I work.
I recently moved out of NY so I sadly dont go here anymore but hands down one of the best gyms Ive ever gone to. Yea, it gets crowded at peak times but what gym doesnt.. front desk crew is always a pleasure. And for a franchise gym, they have the best equipment, always had everything I needed. Dont know if hes still there, but shoutout to the maintenence guy who at any given time is on the floor vacuuming and cleaning equipment. That guy never stops. I wish I still went here honestly.
I was impressed with my Personal Training Freddy Vidal. He gave me an in-depth assessment of my needs, developed a personal training program and assisted me in developing my workout goals.with his professionalism and communication throughout the workout. He was very motivational. You can’t get a better personal trainer.I will recommend him 100%. Thanks Freddy.
I really love Crunch Fitness. Theyre really good with making sure they stay at/under capacity and everyone is wearing masks. The only thing Im not a fan of is their parking lot. Its incredibly small and sometimes I feel stressed out just trying to find a spot. When I go in the evenings, I end up parking either in the neighborhood or in the Bellmore LIRR parking strip.
This has to be one of the best gyms. From cleanliness to staff to class etc.... I was a member before the pandemic and I received a gift certificate for Christmas from my cousin. Durning the pandemic we bought a house in Florida than came back to NY in June. Since our community has a gym I cancelled my membership with crunch in September when the reopened. They were super sweet and I also asked if I could get a refund on the personal training sessions. They gladly obliged no hassle or anything. Stand up company. Would HIGHLY recommend.
This gym is amazing. The staff is so personable and actually know you. In this day and age, that’s not common. They genuinely greet you and make you feel like family. This gym is always busy and parking is limited but they do have free valet parking. The childcare is outstanding. Having childcare at the gym makes this stay at home mom so happy to get me time while working on my body. I love coming here!!
Worst music Ive ever had to endure Every time Im here its the same thing over and over, sounds like a strip club in the ghetto. Its really hard to focus on your exercise. The staff is also incredibly rude and unaccommodating when approached about the music. Otherwise no problems here
I have been a member for almost a year and have nothing but great things to say about Crunch Bellmore. The facility is clean and the equipment is well maintained. The staff is super friendly and motivating. Best part of Crunch is their personal trainers. I worked out for several months with Freddy Vidal and had an amazing experience. He pushed me beyond the limits of what I thought I was capable and my strength and confidence grew with every training session. Everyone I saw working with the training staff at Crunch Bellmore seemed to be having the same great experience. No matter your age or your physical condition you will benefit from the personal training at Crunch. I never thought I would be a gym person as I had not stepped foot in a gym since high school more than 20 + years before but I was made to feel comfortable immediately and I am so thankful as I know feel comfortable working out on my own. The monthly membership is an incredible value and each new member gets one free training session which is a great way to test out a personal trainer and see for yourself what youre capable of with the proper guidance and motivation. Crunch is a great gym and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience training with Freddy.
Just a big Thank You to the staff at Crunch Fitness (Bellmore). I was there this morning for my training session with my Personal Trainer, Bernadette. While I was there, I saw several employees working hard to clean the equipment, bathrooms and all public areas. I even saw Samantha, the manager, working very hard, cleaning off some of the exercise equipment. I know there have been numerous cancellations by people that feel uncomfortable going to the gym but from what I saw, there is no need to worry. The way the gym is being cleaned, no germ can survive!!! Again, Many Thanks to all!!!🏋️♂️🏋️♀️1 DAY AGO
I’ve been a member at Crunch Fitness since late December. It has always struck me as being extraordinarily well run. The equipment is well organized and kept clean and safe. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The best part of my experience has been with personal training. My trainer, Jonathan, always has a challenging and varied workout planned that keeps up with my progress. Anyone looking for a good gym and/or personal training experience should definitely consider Crunch Fitness in Bellmore.
I have to say that Ive been pretty blown away with my overall experience at Crunch Bellmore! The locker room and gym area are always clean and its nice to see that they have spray/ paper towels readily available in lots of locations throughout the gym to wipe machines down. Theres TONS of fun equipment to use, so even when its crowded during peak hours you feel like you have space to work out.The staff at this location is by far one of the best things about the gym!! Ive never walked in without getting a hello/ smile from someone at the front desk. Ive been doing personal training with Jonathan for about 5 months now, and have seen so much improvement in my strength! He always pushes me to try new things and is super motivating and friendly! Hes constantly changing the workouts so theyre never boring and even had a way of making burpees suck less. The kids Crunch room is awesome- my daughter actually gets excited to go to the gym with me to be able to play there. Lots of toys/ books and the staff in there are the sweetest!
Depending on your goals,Crunch Fitness has so much to offer, a wide variety of equipment, some impressive, along with plenty of free weights, Staff is a pleasure, parking can be tight at times, i recommend Saunas in restrooms for members though. Areas are kept very clean. The prices are good, though the renewal fees after joining could be a bit lower but monthly fees make up for that. Overall, a great place !
The people that work here need some lessons on customer service. I went to this gym to try it out. I was immediately told that the existing customers had preferential treatment and that I had to leave immediately. It was certainly violating the Covid capacity restrictions as it was, but it would have gone a long way to be nice about it.
When I lived in the city, Crunch was my gym and it was the best! When I moved away and didnt have a Crunch gym near me for a while I was really bummed. I recently moved to Bellmore where there is a Crunch gym right by the train station! I was psyched. They are always clean, have great equipment, and good music (which always makes for a better workout). I like the people who train there and the community feel. I have just started working with Freddy (trainer) and hes great! I feel like he has trained people for a lot of different types of physical goals which meant a lot to me since I dont necessarily want to be getting the same kind of workout as a power lifter or other people he works with. He definitely pushes me to work but always asks how Im feeling about the exercise. Overall, this place is great and the people are great too!
I’ve gone to many gyms and this one is by far my favorite. Plenty of equipment, always clean, and great classes. I workout with a trainer, Freddy Vidal and he pushes me to my limits. His workouts are amazing and make me feel amazing. He’s always super encouraging which makes the workouts fun. He has me lifting weights and doing exercises I never thought I would be able to do. Highly recommended!
I really do like this gym. Its clean, spacious and the staff is nice. However, the parking at pretty much any time of day is horrendous. I can only go at certain times and it seems that every time I CAN go, its packed. So much so its making me consider switching gyms.
The gym is clean and the trainers are knowledgeable and pleasant. My five star review is for Freddy, my trainer. He clearly knows what hes doing. Freddy plans my workout so that I get the maximum benefit for the limited time I have available. Hes patient, but firm - exactly what I needed. My only displeasure is with some of the young kids at front desk. They are rude which takes away from the overall pleasant experience of the gym.
I highly recommend this gym. It’s completely all-purpose at a price that’s unbeatable. It’s clean (both the locker rooms and equipment), and I’ve noticed new appliances matriculating in each week. The staff is friendly and abundant, and the trainers are great. I’ve been training with Freddy Vidal for two months now and he’s been crushing it. I gave him my goals, both long term and short term, and he told me exactly how to get what I want.Grind Over Everything.
I have been going here for a few years now, the layout of the gym is good, but can be very busy and packed with people during the morning between 6:00am-7:00am, Monday through Friday. Weekends Im unsure of as I use those as my rest days. Evenings I wouldnt really know but I was once there after 6pm and it was very busy. Other then that, the machines are pretty clean and dont look like theyve been beaten or used to the point of no repair. If you want personal training from here, be prepared to pay A LOT for it. Their trainers are good, but the rates are ridiculous. I would get a package deal from them when they offer it if you want training. Overall, a very nice gym for the price!
Ay it not perfect but its my second gym. smoothie shop no hours listed, closed often. i rly wanna waste 10 dollars on overpriced oat smoothie omfg y close stop. then im like yo guys where ur fridge prptein shakes. oh yeah we ordered em, not there.. some machines need greasin, i complain nbd. dumbells no handle so when rly heavy it fks ur grip. whateva i still git her done. what im tryna say is crunch is a candybar n IM gonna go east meadow for it dec 6th and it better taste better or else ima quit candybars .
I switched from planet fitness to crunch Bellmore and it was the greatest choice. The gym is wonderfully equipped and very clean. After signing up, I got a free personal training session. My friend and I both signed up to work with Jonathan Corbo. It’s been 8 months and we’ve been training with Jonathan every week since! He’s patient, offers great comedic relief, very flexible with our schedules and KICKS us into high gear. So happy to be at this gym and working with a motivational trainer who designs workouts to help us achieve our goals. You won’t be disappointed.
Crunch is a wonderful gym. The friendliest and cleanest gym I’ve ever been a member of. Have been training with Kyle for quite some time now. He is dedicated to his clients and always available. He’s very attentive and supportive to his clients needs and fitness goals.
Great gym. Employees are well trained, and eager to help out if you have a question. Can get busy at times, but thats any gym thats worth joining. I happen to be disabled and most of the treadmills, and bikes dont work for me. The owner Lou reached out to me and asked what machine would help me during my workouts. I suggested a seated handcycle. These are not cheap machines, thats why most gyms dont have one, or if they do, theyre the cheaper version. To his credit, Lou was good on his word and purchased a seated handcycle for me and the other members to use. No gym is perfect. But Crunch worth giving a try if your looking to join a gym, or switch from another.Good luck. Eric
Crunch is the best! I have been a member since they opened. I started with just the machines, which are always kept clean. Now, I mainly take the zumba classes (which are just one big party and you should join) and all the instructors are amazing. I highly recommend joining!
No hot water in the shower room. It was not first time.Front desk told me he couldn’t do nothing because too many people use hot water the water boiler can not heat up. But no body in the shower room. I don’t know whose use hot water. Anyway I got called from gym after I posted review. They fixed problems. I hope no more this problem.
Ive been going to Crunch since it opened and its a great place to workout. Its clean, lots of equipment, and the staff are friendly. It can be hard to find parking and it can get crowded, but nothing unmanageable. What has stood out to me the most is the professionalism and patience of some of the staff in particular. My brother with Autism is also a member of Crunch and my family and I never have to worry about him there. Most of the front desk staff who are there when he is know him by name and make him feel comfortable. He trains with Personal Trainer, Jonathan, who has been nothing but patient and kind to him, as well as a source of inspiration to get in shape. There was one incident where my brother became overstimulated and frustrated at the gym and Manager, Lauren, handled the situation beautifully by thinking quickly and de-escalating him. The patience and kindness this gym community embodies has been a huge positive asset to our family. Thank you, Crunch (and especially, Lauren) for such outstanding service!
I’ve been going to this gym for almost 2 years now - I’m usually there between 5 and 7 am; the membership is cheap, equipment is clean and spin classes are top notch. Although sometimes it’s hard to get a cardio machine, it’s a huge gym and something always opens up while waiting.
Ive been at Crunch since the first day it opened. I k ow parking can be tough if you work out when the valet parkers arent on duty. That being said your paying $20 or less for most of your memberships. Very nice gym at 3X that price. The money you save on the membership, go buy a parking pass for the LIRR lot and stop complain. I look forward to seeing all my gym friends at 6am m-f. Staff is always nice and accommodating to my needs. Even when I tell them somethings broken or needs to be lubricated. The owner (Lou) was even nice enough to give me his personal cell#. How many owners would do that for a customer. By no means is it perfect, but everyone seems to to their best to make it a positive experience, no matter the cost of the memberships.Keep up the good work Lou and the Crunch gang.....Eric
I cant begin to describe how grateful I am towards this staff. When I tried working out, I experienced a sharp pain in my lower back and didnt know what it was. Luckily I was noticed by one private trainer, although I cant remember the name. She bought attention over to me, where other staff helped me to a couch and even bought my car out to the front. Special thanks to Steven, Samantha, and Lou (Im sorry if thats the incorrect spelling). The gym also offers the best equipment for cardio AND weightlifting for an unbeatable price.I cant recommend a single gym over Crunch.
Crunch is a very friendly and welcoming workout facility with awesome staff and great equipment. It has helped me attain my overall fitness goals and the personal training has given me that extra encouragement on my goals. I have been training with Freddy for the last 6 months and have seen great improvement in my overall strength and capabilities. Id definitely recommend Crunch.
So far for a gym just starting up, it has good amount of quality equipment and good trainers. While Im not use to such de conditioned members alittle unfriendly, hopefully they ll hire trainers and learn the etiquette of a gym.The very nice owner Lou well makes up for these members. And it is being run very well. Eventually serious members will stay & the others wont show up. Valet service is great for parking. Im hoping 4 the best!
Been going here for 3 months now. Staff is great especially the day care, they are super caring and will call you in case baby is inconsolable or needs a diaper change. All new equipment. Very clean facilities. Miles ahead of their competitors especially with their pricing, you cant go wrong.
Love Crunch - Bellmore. The facility is reasonably priced, super clean and the staff and other members super friendly. I personally have lost 108 pound with the help of my Trainer Larry. I wouldn’t have lost the weight I did without him and his motivation. Highly recommend Crunch and the Personal Training aspect as well.
The first thing to notice about the place is the stench, unfortunately, given that the cardio machine area is situated near the entrance. That is to be understood, however, given the popularity of the place. Lots of machines for cardio and weightlifting, and there is an adequate area for calisthenics, yoga and other mat-dependant exercises. Good amount of free weights as well as two multifunction squat racks. It is best to visit this place after 8pm or in the morning as it is always packed between 6-8pm, as I the case with most gyms. The aforementioned smell is not overbearing if you dont spend your time entirely in the cardio area, but I cannot say for sure as I dont do cardio at this gym (I run outdoors instead). Your mileage may vary, but this location is excellent for weightlifting. The staff is friendly and the gymgoers are as well. For its price, it cannot be beat.
Its always so crowded at ALL hours of the day, even weird times on weekdays when you would think people would be at work. The hours are also complete BS. They close at 7pm on Saturday and 6pm on Sunday even though google says they close at 8pm. The only reason I stay is because its cheap and local, definitely looking for a new gym
Really 3.7 Stars... I should round it up to 4 Stars but the parking was that bad that I decided I would round it down to 3 Stars. Honestly, you have to get there 30 minutes before your workout time so that you can search for parking. It really makes you have to be that much more motivated to get your workout in.
Over crowded. Plus there is a very large amount younger men specifically that have to be taking steroids, they hog the machines and weights, act like they are a walking god. They have a con artist personal trainer his name is RJ, do not go to this place unless you want to wait 30 mins for parking it’s to go inside and get frustrated bc all the people in there are immature kids!make sure to read real posts they pay heir own people to post good comments. You’ll see lol the people that have something to say, they all say the same things!
Crowded, messy, terrible parking, and can never get a machine/find equipment bc its all over the place and theres way too many peolpe. The only positives are their memberships are reasonably priced and (if you can manage to find equipment or get time on a machine) they do really have anything you can think of to workout with regardless of your workout regime.
I came into Crunch Fitness - Bellmore because of the reasonable membership rates. After a complimentary personal training session with Jon Corbo, I was completely sold. Jon’s knowledge and personal care to your specific needs will yield great results. He turns you on to the massive variety of equipment, floor workouts and he’s always bringing something new to the session. Jon’s been working with me for four months now and I’m stronger, have more energy and lighter. Quite motivating. Thank you Jonathan Corbo.Thank you, Crunch Fitness Bellmore
Personal training with Bernadette Glasser has made me healthy and strong. A true professional and experienced for 18 years she knows exactly how to make your body strong. We laugh but work hard. I am 57 so older ladies..get with Bern to keep healthy..she knows our bodies!! I love this gym and all it offers...best in Bellmore!!
Would switch gyms if they would extend hours at least 12am Monday thru Friday and 10 Saturday and Sunday. Would pay more if they did...Syngergy in Merick os 24 hours Mon thru Fri until 11 and 10 Sat and Sunday Great equipment all around at Crunch and friendly...again hours are limited for my lifestyle
I never have a bad thing to say about crunch bellmore. I mostly come for group fitness classes. The instructors are always fun, lively, and energetic. Ive tried other crunch locations but bellmore is absolutely the best one, hands down. The only downside is the parking!
They allow minors to join and when the parent tries to cancel they charge you a large fee. They claim my son signed a price of paper but they wouldnt let him do it without adult present and there was and then they threaten you that they Will continue to charge your credit card and if you stop it they will put you in collections
Just a shout out to Karielle, my personal trainer. I am 53 and Karielle never made me feel as if I were too old or fragile to take on a challenge...she enthusiastically encouraged me and made me feel as if I could conquer the world. She helped me to believe in myself and my abilities again, and that is priceless. If youre looking for a knowledgeable, experienced, and caring personal trainer, Karielle is your girl. I highly recommend her!!
Crowed all the time, parking is always annoying the lot is always full. Its impossible to get a treadmill between 5-7 pm on most weekdays. And the fact that they close at 6pm on sundays really annoys me. The only reason i still go here is bc its cheap and close to my house.

2022-06-07I love this gym. I typically work out early morning so crowds aren’t an issue. I train twice a week with Jonathan and always feel great when I leave. He always cares and demands the best out of me even when I think I can’t push myself any further. He is the best!!!!The gym is always clean and all employees helpful and polite. Love going there.

2022-06-07I always enjoyed working out but never felt comfortable going to the gym as I didn’t know what to do in terms of lifting weights. I decided to get a trainer and it was the best decision I ever made. My trainer Alan is absolutely amazing. He is extremely knowledgeable. He has taught me about proper form and many other things that other trainers in the past has never shown me. I absolutely love going now. He is a true professional. Anyone thinking of getting a trainer, ask for Alan. You won’t regret it.

2022-06-11Danielle is an amazing trainer. Her energy and her vibe can literally put a huge smile on any members face. She is also extremely knowledgeable on training and nutrition. She’s one of a kind and I believe everyone should sign up for a free kickoff at the front desk with her!

2022-06-28I’ve been going to Crunch in Bellmore for years and it’s always clean, the staff is friendly and the personal trainers really know what they’re doing. I’ve trained with Krista Anson on more than one occasion and she is not only amazing at what she does, but she’s also extremely personable and knows exactly how to make her clients feel comfortable in a sometimes intimidating environment. If you decide to train with someone at Crunch in Bellmore, I highly recommend Krista!

2022-03-14Not my primary gym. But an excellent gym. You typically wont have any issues with the equipment. They have great up keep. And really good pricing for a monthly membership. Crunch is awesome.

2022-06-23I have worked out to some degree all my life and never used a trainer. Krista Anson called me out on my chicken legs one morning as she was sitting on the front desk counter. Although having strong legs, I’ve always struggled with leg growth so it was exactly what I needed to hear. Hence signed up for 12 sessions and worked out on machines and techniques I had not done in the past. I particularly enjoyed the speed of the workouts that made it a cardio session combined. Krista knows her stuff, her knowledge of modern workouts has made the experience so worthwhile. I highly recommend asking for her and getting your heart and muscles pupped !!

2022-06-06Danielle is one of the best trainers I’ve had - and I’ve had many over the last 20 years or so. She’s gotten me in shape and forced me beyond my own limits. Her HIIT workouts are insane. If you want someone to help motivate you and challenge you, Danielle is there for you!!
