I attend this gym every time I come to town. This gym has all the good gym equipment a gym rat would want, its very Clean, and it has nice sections for the cross-fit enthusiast. Love this place.
I cancelled my membership in March, have a cancellation email with a date and all. Yet they have been emailing me non stop about an outstanding $48 bill. I emailed them the cancellation confirmation about 8 times yet they still send emails threatening to send $48 to collections, what a joke.Gym if I recall was ok, locker rooms were pretty rough. Planet Fitness is a better option in this area.

Excellent gym in all aspects brand new and just opened excellent prices and they give law enforcement discount. All brand new equipment and very friendly staff and great pricing with different membership options they even have a daycare. Unfortunately theyre not open 24/7 but who goes to the gym at 3 a.m. anyway, and they have a lot of different classes you can take very versatile gym I will be going very often
It’s alright for the price but not great machine are always broken not enough sanitizer for equipment nor for hands
Had memberships to all gyms in the area, crunch Middletown is by far the best. Other gym goers are respectful and staff is excellent, exp the child care. That being said the only thing I think would benefit the members better if there adjustable decline bench’s available and the hoist machine has a nice Chest fly machine available, but for what you get for what you pay crunch is definitely one of the better ran gym in the area
I Love it. Dec18 2020 was my first day working out there.The staff was really nice and the people that work out there is nice also.I just felt comfortable I recommend that you should join if you are looking for a gym.
Great workout spot, personally one of my favorites in the area especially for the price. Friendly members and staff. Alot of space and workout equipment unlike other gyms.
Love this place! My only issue is.....cant tell who is a personal trainer or just a gym regular giving members a few pointers. I can only point out 1 PT who is always dressed as such. I think this would give the members a better opportunity to be more selective in their choice of a PT. Just saying...
New manager Katie makes it hard for you to cancel you’re membership ! Do not sign up they have little to no classes. Best Zumba instructor quit because That places sucked !!! Equipment is very limited !! And every time you try to cancel there excuses and what not so unless you’re trying to be stuck forever until they shut down so not sign up !!!!!!!

Average gym with typical weekend hours, good for amateur bodybuilders. The staff rarely greets anyone. They play the same music, often way too loud. The gym collects trash a lot.

I was as already a fan but after todays experience, I wish there were 10 stars to give.As Ive been in the process of training for a very physically exuberant test, unfortunately, I pulled my lower back to today. It took me about 15 to 20 minutes to figure out how to get my keys off the ground. As I managed to gather my belongings, I was able to baby step my way towards the door. However, on my out, personal trainer John J. (Two Johns at this location) happened to notice my hindered walk and was BEYOND kind enough to offer to give me complimentary stretch on the massage table.I cant speak highly enough of this act of kindness as John J. went above and beyond his responsibilities. I feel he couldve easily let me go about my business but he saw my grimmest face and decided to lend a hand.Well done John J.. Well done Crunch - Middletown for hiring such a gem of a trainer.Best,

I had a great experience during my complimentary personal training classes with Vince. He made the workouts super enjoyable and was a wealth of knowledge. I highly recommend him if you’re interested in the personal training sessions!
This is a brand new facility that just opened in September of 2018, so *everything* is new. There is an excess of free weights, benches, squat racks/deadlift stations, cable machines, weight machines, cardio equipment, and open space. The bathrooms and showers are clean and modern. Theres a large spin room and an even larger TRX room. Theres even a closed off room inside for kids to play safely while you get your daily lift in. The staff are numerous, courteous, and knowledgeable. For the price, you absolutely cannot beat this gym.
I gave 3 star because I wasnt satisfy with the service. I showed my free trial pass to the personal trainer that was at the desk at the time, he said go ahead. I asked do I need to sign in? Do you need my id? He said I dont care go ahead (young, semi bald head). My suggestion is to care for each member and potential members. It is the best practice to have everyone sign-in in case a person gets injured (free trail passes)to. Also the sign in sheet would be a great to follow up with each visitor to hear for their feedback and to keep track of trail that have been redeemed. Other than that everything else was fine
I signed up online the same week gyms closed due to coronavirus I was never charged and never stepped foot in the gym. I wasnt even aware they had reopened I have now been receiving emails to pay or threat of possibly going to collections. I have emailed and walked into the gym to try and resolve this. Filed complaint with BBB
Nice gym, all the equipment looks pristine. And believe me, Ive had so many different memberships at different clubs.
Loved the gym at first. Staff is letting people come to classes who are not signed up and the people who are signed up cant participate because classes are full. Staff only greet cetain members. Only there because of my trainer.
Blasting terrible rave/dance music I hear it over my own ear buds. Why? It’s obnoxious. And if you take a shower there, beware, they have the plumbing system of a double wide. The shower drains clog and pool a couple of inches of nasty water. If someone flushed a toilet the water pressure nearly stops. Please stop blasting this terrible music
Katia is absolutely amazing! Before Katia I was completely lost and had no motivation to workout. She’s very informative with nutrition and exercises. She’s very bubbly and thanks to Katia, she makes my workout experience at Crunch Fitness fun and worth it every single time!
Great new facility, just a bit disappointed that with all the competition in town they allow the fans and bikes to be down for more than a day..not a good look. Management needs to step up their game and keep their fingers on the pulse..we have too many choices for things to not be 100%, 100% of the time!

I gave this Crunch 5 stars because they are really nice there..no judgement..very patient. It is also really clean which matters to me. Vince who is my trainer pushes me to go just a little but further than i think i can go

2022-08-05Pros and Cons from the male perspective.Cons: Bathroom and showers are a bit cramped. No overhead lat pullover machine.Pros: Sports Turf, jungle bar, olympic lift platforms, glute drive machine, and moderately spaced out. Equipment is clean and shiny.... Plenty of Grey and blue to go around.This gym is good for heavy lifters, or light lifters. The addition of selectorized equipment and hammer strength stations beats out the other fitness competition in these categories.I love the roc-it selectorized line by Hoist. Those machines are fun because you rock with every rep.If you like tanning and hydromassage machine, they have that too.Hopefully, the owner can improve the minor grips over time. Adding the overhead lat pulldown machine would get all 5 stars from me.Location is also close to a firestone. Drop your car off and work out until your car is ready.Good Gym. Great location. PARTY ON!

2022-01-13Still awaiting a phone call from a supervisor for a refund of over charged fees. Going to have to show up.This is a follow up to the reply below. The manager is never available to speak, always at a meeting. Emailed manager at the email below already 3 times no response. Get it together. I will be reporting to corporate as well as the BBB.

2021-09-24Im a member of Crunch and visit this Middletown location due to my business travels. This is the most rundown Gym I have ever visited. Almost every cable machine is broken or not working properly. None of the paper dispenser work to clean equipment, so much for Covid safety!!!! The staff is usually nice I wish they kept up with repairs of the broken or inoperable machines

2021-07-16I wish I had read the comment comments first before I join this gym on June 16. I joined the gym but only got there 3 times because of my work I could find time so I had to cancel on July 9, I was told I had a zero balance only to see on the 16th today $76 was withdrawn from my checking account I called the gym and was told its a membership fee and there was nothing they could do because I canceled within 30 of billing cycle I wasnt even there for 30 days, and I cannot get my money back. So Im paying for a year of service I dont have

2021-04-21Update: 4/20 I received a call from the marketing manager, NOT the gym manager, and she was extremely helpful. She reviewed my account and rectified the situation. It was a very pleasant interaction. Because of her swift response, I am changing my review from 1 star to 3 stars. However, I stand by my initial sentiments!previous review:(1 star) I joined Crunch on 1/10/21, I tried to cancel my membership on 1/20. It was an arduous process. (see prev reviews) Per the email from the manager, my membership was [finally] cancelled on 1/27. However, I have been charged EVERY month, including April, for membership fees!The tone of the manager was unprofessional, I never saw the facility being cleaned, and social distancing is non-existent in the free weight area.Such a disappointment. Please see all customer reviews... this is nothing new for this facility... and MOST of these one star reviews are not responded to.... Apparently, they only respond to their friends... interesting! I requested a full refund for every fee charged to my account after the January payment... considering I only visited the gym 3 times!
