I wish I could give 0 star. The owner is super rude. Also he takes 3 parking spots and saves it for his friends. The hookah is worse and burnt flavor. The service is horrible.
Came here with friends we were a party of 8 the owner is very friendly and took good care of us, will definitely come back.
Owner at the door was mad rude and disrespectful. He was trying to hustle me and my friends. Fist he said there was no space, then he said we have to pay 350to get in. The guy was light skinned, about 5’5 and had dreads hair.
This place is a joke.. DO NOT GO HERE! the lightskin man with dreads is a manager or whatever he is, is rude and disrespectful. This I’ve heard so many complaints about this place and him. I just finally had my experience myself..
If your Asian you WILL PAY COVER $20. This place will make u feel like an outsider if you don’t look like “their crowd” and the bouncers make u feel it. So uncomfortable. And when u enter the place is so small. Def not worth that cover. However Music was great. Drinks were ok but New York City prices. The lady bartender was the saving grace. She def deserves to work at a better spot. Such a vibe kill. Wanted to like this place but the bouncers and the male bartender (tall Arab I think) set the bad tone from the beginning. Huge rat problem. The rat is about 5’7 on a good day. Goes by the name of Troy. Wears hair in locs/braids. Pretends to be the bouncer but he’s really the owner. IF you question the $300 mandatory bottle service to enter he get belligerent. He tell you I don’t want you in here. IF you don’t mind a rude owner proceed.

Don’t waste your time going. Dj is trash ! Charge 300 for a bottle. They lie about the free hookah! Those hookahs are 65 and open in other hookah lounges. Bouncer with the dreads is hella of disrespectful to females that don’t come with men! After spending money on a bottle they moved us cause a group of men came with female! I ask to speak to a manger and nobody called for one ! Customer service is HORRIBLE! And the hookah wasn’t even good.
Not gonna lie, worst hookah I’ve had in my life. I’m actually sick from it and so is the group I was with — probably expired tobacco. Asked for replacement but they tried to charge me double.Giving 2 stars cuz the music and vibez were actually not bad.

I just wanna say I encountered the most unprofessional bouncers I have ever seen in NYC. He threatened us and the people outside on the line after we asked them why we have to get 300$ bottle service to get in. He wanted to go fight the customers who questioned about the bottle service. I was very close to call 911 after he threatened me and my friends but we decided to give him a chance. I hope the owner read this and see what your employee doing to your customers!!!!
Went to this lounge the other night and they had a nice system where they had tents and small tables. Social distancing is a major fail in here. The chicken wings was good and they have a lot of flavor to choose from. The macaroni wedges wasnt all that. The hookah is good and the drink are strong. They only take cash so be prepare for that. Everything was ok until it was time to pay. The owner/ manager called me cheap because I wanted to give him the right change. They already charge you for gratuity of $32.00. He was getting too comfortable I guess but professionalism will get you a long way.
Although the staff was polite and attentive this place will have you overspending. We were initially attracted by the music and the smell of hookah. They sat us down, took our hookah and drink order. After putting in our hookah and drink order we were told we needed to order some sort of food, since we already put in our drink/hookah order we ordered wings and asked for them in a to go bag. We received our hookahs but they burnt out too quickly. Eventually we were ready to leave and decided to ask for the check. Our waitress gave us the bill and after a few minutes we handed her the check with a credit card. The waitress immediately apologized and told us the place was cash only. But this was not disclosed prior to us sitting down. As you can tell we did not enjoy our experience overall.
This place is highly unprofessional and the owners are nothing but scams and bulliesUpon walking into this place the owner starts to hit on one of the girls from my group while his wife stood there dumbfounded regardless we still went in. Big mistakeWe ordered 1 bottle and 2 hookahs.we even got extra drinks from the bar and shots brought to our table.In the middle of our drinks the owner comes to us and tells us we have to leave the table that another party was expectdd.. there was no reserved sign on this table. Before we could even move they start taking our drinks off the table and moving all.ojr stuff. The owners comes to.us and says u need to pay now. Harassing us pulling cash out of our hands. . Never coming back here. I would give u zero stars. This lounge are bullies and should be shut down.
If I could rate this place zero stars I would. Coming from someone from Columbia South Carolina I like to give great reviews everywhere I go. This place has bad service…charge $40 to get in. The bartenders are terrible. And on top of that the food is sub par.
The hookah is awful. It tastes really bad. They are cash only and don’t tell you till they give you the bill. They charge you a normal amount for beer but $17 for a sweet really bad drink. They also don’t give you a menu with pricing. They charge an automatic 20 percent gratuity. Beware of this price gauging really bad place. Also, look at the other reviews.

On a strip full of hookah lounge this one definitely stands out! great music, good vibes and strong drinks. The Bartender Stephanie was was very attentive ,service was impeccable and fast. Hookah was amazing very smooth and strong for only $20. Our coals were constantly being changed free of charge! The hookah lasted very long and kept its flavor by far one of the best hookah lounge I’ve been to.

We were 3 couples that went before 11pm. Not too many people there. The door guy told us its $240 for a bottle and unlimited hookah. So we went inside. Paid up front. Ordered more drinks after we were done with the bottle. While dancing and engaging with others they take the hookah and tell us our time is up you have to leave. After spending $400 in less than two hours thats how they treated us. When I came outside I saw people waiting in line so what that means is that its just business. Since we didnt buy another bottle and just bought individual drinks, it wasnt good enough. The guy that originally sat us down mysteriously disappeared. Believe me when I tell you, spend your money anywhere else but here. Very low class.
Ive been there twice and second time I went to celebrate my 23 birthday & tonight was the worst night ever ! I was sat over by the entrance which was bottle service section and I never ordered bottle service - 30 min later the most rude bartender came over to me and said we must move our seats to the back due to that the section was for bottle service and I got so mad and asked her why would u sit us here in the beginning if we didnt order a bottle ? After a few min I moved over to the back and then after 2 hours the bill came and there was a confusion made by the Asian bartender with the money & then another bartender came over made matters even more confussing ! They have the worst attitudes and over priced drinks for such a typical small hookah place . The place tries to act like the place is a club with the prices of drinks and the loud music . If I can rate this place with 0 stars I would ! I will never go there again ! Such poor service & bartenders are airheads !
The staff was very rude & unprofessional. Theyll offer you one service at the entrance and then its another story once inside. While seated the waitress checked our bottle more than once, and we asked not to take our stuff away. Then they informed us that the maximum seating time is one hour. After we complained they asked us to talk outside and never spoke to us (professionally) or allowed us to get our belonging. I had to call 911 to try to retrieve my belongings. Once you have a drink at this establishment they think they have the right to treat you any way because they already have your money. Ruined a great night.
Went there last night with some friends. The staff are all EXTREMELY rude! The female blonde bartender kept staring at us?? We had to move from our original spot as we were losing our voice and hearing from sitting next to the speaker. After speaking to the manger or owner whoever the braided hair guy or dreads was by the name of TONY, if there was a way they could turn down the music just a small bit, he replied with a cold we dont turn music down in here but you guys can move your table. He seemed like he was on something as he was all amped up. He came to our table after I was speaking to my friends and screamed at us that we could move our table with an attitude after I had already spoken to him privately. This guy has no idea what being personable or customer service is!So we moved our table (hookah and all on our own) to near the door which didnt really help much. The music is ridiculously loud. It was only like one or two other small tables sitting in there and its a Monday night. This isnt a dance club. The music isnt just loud, it literally hurt our ears and we literally started playing the game telephone to talk with each other. The tables are small so we had spilt drinks twice from just passing the hookah pipe around.The staff including the guy in charge continued to stare. Very weird atmosphere, trashy bathroom, and the whole staffs attitudes was enough to put one off. 0 accommodation. The hookah tips kept stretching as well and I had to hold it with two hands to keep it from coming off during each pass. If youd like damaged ear drums or avoiding talking with whoever you came with, then this is the place. Youve been warned.In an area with so many other hookah bar options, we will NOT be returning. 1/5

I do not recommend this place at all. The guy at the door was a complete racist idiot. Hes short with fake dreads. Completely unprofessional. Try talking to us like we were kids. Not only that; how do you tell people they wont like the place because its only for black people. Never mind the fact, three out of five of us in the group are f**king black. He was just lucky we werent in the mood to retaliate. Whoever owns this place should consider hiring more welcoming staff.
I went last night with my girlfriend her brother and 2 other friends one of them was gay. He was dancing the owner/manager who happens to be homophobic told him he couldn’t dance because it was a lounge. After he was caught he claimed to be gay himself. After we paid he called cops on us .Service is good but that owner/manager should not be on business especially in Astoria where there is all kind of people. I had a horrible experience with this one bouncer he was short and light skin with braids or dreads in a ponytail he was very rude before we could even get in the establishment I was going in there to spend money but his nasty comments turned us away the owner needs to fire him of teach him how to greet customers better he’s very nasty he acts like he wants to fight everybody one day he’s gonna get himself into a bad situation with his nasty attitude and overly aggressiveness for no reason
Hookah was okay, even after they almost spilled the coals over my girl. Drinks taste awful. The music is great, but not for a legit hookah lounge. They charge a fee for bringing out the hookah, and follow you to their indoor ATM in case you have the balls to run. But you really can’t cuz they do have money to spend on security and I already showed them my military ID, so I gotta take the $35 loss on an awful night.
STAY AWAY! ATTENTION ALL: MONEY HUNGRY OWNER . This is one of the few black owned businesses on STEINWAY . We went to support and spent around $400 . No one in our party was super drunk or acting out and we paid our bill, literally 4 minutes after paying we decided that we should take turns using the bathroom before departing on our journey back to Long Island . We were kicked out of this establishment by the owner because he claimed we didnt want to leave and we were done . Literally embarrassed in front of the entire club . When we tried to explain what was Going on I WAS GRABBED BY THE ARM SAYING put your coat on we talk outside I dont know what kind of service that is but we will never go again . EVER!
I visited this place, beautiful setting.. the music was okay. HOWEVER that one bartender, I believe shes Asian... shes disgusting, has no idea what professionalism is, how would she?. There was one bouncer who was very rude at the door. I proceeded to show my ID to one bouncer, and while I’m trying to get checked to go inside, another bouncer (short, muscular with dreads, I believe) is having an entire PERSONAL conversation with the bouncer checking my ID, having me standing there looking dumbfounded, waiting for about 5 minutes. That in itself was very unprofessional.Then when I bring out my money to pay, I was spoken to condescendingly like I was a child (by the short muscular guy), and was chastised because I had a larger bill that he would have to make change for. I was asked if I think I’m rich or better than other people just because I had a large bill. He also threatened to not give me my change back. After all of this fuss, I was turned away at the door and wasn’t allowed in.It seems as if this is a recurring theme with this guy because the other bouncers tried to console me once they saw how I was being spoken to. Overall, very unprofessional, and would not return here.

Cant understand why there is these horrible reviews because this place is truly amazing and nothing like the other two reviews described . usually when I see a long ass review its usually a lie. They have great hookah, nice drink mixes and a great staff . The place was crowded when we got there and the owner was nice enough to make a spot for us .

Ok so its not the best place but definitely cramped and I say that as Im currently sitting here... Between two parties when I asked to move to the open sections I was informed I had to buy a bottle to be in there... Like really?... Majority of the hooka places Ive been to are about smoking and Chillen the problem with this place is that it doesnt know if it wants to be a club or not however the set doesnt facilitate a club ataomphere that and I spent 34$ on two drinks.... The hookah itself was another 30$ the service was trash... I would not recommend this place I honestly only gave it 2 stars because the women in here were attractive......So I originally gave this place 2 stars but theres only one bathroom which was beyond filthy......definitely one star

2022-01-23Wish I could give no stars, from security to bouncer to waiters. They will charge you cover and overprice drinks and while entering bouncer said inappropriate things, said if I want to leave I can, hookah was bad and drinks are water down. Save your money and walk to safe place. Not the best place to go if you want to have fun, wish I saw the stars before going to this place.Horrible horrible, not that I had bad experience my friend went after same thing happen to them, place is not even lit rarely any people, they just want to make money.

2022-02-04This place was incredibly and absolutely terrible. The bouncer/ manager was intrusive and disrespectful. The way he spoke to my man and I was unacceptable because it felt as if he tried to intimidate us as soon as we approached. Let me not forget, 10 PER PERSON before you even get inside! When I sat down I immediately felt uncomfortable. They do not have prices on their menu so when you’re ready for the bill they give you a crazy tab!!! We were respectful and civil. They confiscated an item of mine when we initially walked in when I asked for it back the bouncer was unprofessional and said that I should call the police if I have an issue. At that point we were ANNOYED AND OVER IT.

2022-03-12Online says they close at 4am and they kicked my girls and I out at 3am. We tried to go to the hookah spot next door and the manager from Crystals didn’t allow us to the next spot. We were invited and manager from Crystals was very rude and told us “they close as well and I’m telling you so. Goodbye and have a great day.” Would not recommend and if you looking for a great vibe, go to Melody!

2022-04-26I don’t know who owns this place but the man with dreads needs to be fired immediately he is rude inappropriate and unprofessional. I saw plenty of reviews going back two years about this same man and couldn’t believe that they still keep him !! FIRE HIM IMMEDIATELY. If it was t for how tired I was , I was going to call the police on this place because the staff was drinking the bouncers were careless , there’s bo ventilation for the hookah barely and the charge different prices while also only doing cash , something is off about this place because any other place should be able to receive card payments but they didn’t tell us until after we got the bill that it was cash only (no signs in the bar either about cash only) this place is definitely a show for something else. All I know is that man with the dreads needs to find a different job because he is rude to everyone no matter how nice you are. Disgusting

2022-04-11I visited this place last night. at the entrance was the long-haired boss with an ugly unpleasant attitude looking up and down as if he were the owner of the place saying you have to pay 30 dollars for entry and consume bottles the cheapest one is worth 300 dollars and I look and tell him because . he said Im the boss and I do whatever he wants at the premises he didnt let us in we wanted to pay him 30 pesos we were 6 people but he said not with a loud and strong voice a very bad experience last night with this kind of unpleasant people as the chief manager in charge I think that if he is in that position it is to be a nice person with the clientele, not to treat him ugly and despise and we do not speak loudly

2022-04-26Same type of music for 4 hours straight, its like saying dont you dare to come back, even if theres only 5 customers the music is loud as if there were 100 so you cant talk at all Food menu is very limited maybe 5 items... At least the girl that seems to be the manager does what she can to give the best she can, she is very friendly and make you feel welcome.... Just get rid of that DJ so you can have a wider variety of clients...

2022-06-26This lounge should just shut down it will be better off and have better ratings if closed. From the security to every personnel in this place are trash. They have no professionalism, no morals, no respect for their customers. Music, hookah and drinks trash. I should have looked up the reviews before wasting my time and money. Giving this lounge a star is overrated for the real experience I went through.

2022-07-02Just like all the other 1 star reviews. The whole point of wasting time to give the 1 star review is to warn the general public not to come here. Seems more like a front than a legitimate business. The guy with the dreads that everyone is talking about, clearly stated to me proudly that he runs all three establishments side by side. I LAUGHED OUT LOUD and walked away. Life is too short to argue with someone so small.

2022-05-23If i could give 0 out of 5 stars i definitely would . me and 2 of my homegirls decided to come here instead of After 8 where we SHOULD HAVE WENT , because the music was jumping & the vibe seemed aii . okay $20 at the door np . as were getting ready to leave one of my friends hand mr lightskin with the dreads $160 even though our total was $139 . he came back without the extra $20 & tried to tell us we only gave him $140 . he then proceeded to argue with her about us being short when even if that was the case $140 definitely covered the tab . highly do not recommend .

2022-06-11RUN dont walk away from this place. The bouncer is living scum of the earth! A group my of friends were trying to walk past this lounge when he stopped US. Asked us what we were looking for. I asked him if I could peek inside before we committed to going here. His response “no i cant do that” I responded “I cant look in side the place im about to spend MY money?” He response “I just said do what part of that do you not understand “ I actually dont understand the whole part sir.. how you going to have a lounge but not let people in? Are you dumb? I responded “so im not coming here then” “no one asked you too” he says. Im not sure when “businesses” started to be run this way, but its a god sent that to we were smart enough to keep walking because according to the other reviews, this place should just be shut down.(Light skin man with dreads) steer clear of him! A sorry man talking to women like this! SMH!
