CSL Plasma in other cities:
The staff is always friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. I have never had a problem with the money not immediately being on my card before I even leave the facility. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because the wait has been long lately because they are understaffed right now.
Update since my last review: My visit was very pleasant like always, but noticed that this site is very under staffed and the wait is longer than usual. The times that you visit plays a big part on how long the wait time is. Other than that... The employees are very professional, courteous, respectful, and considerate. Follows Covid-19 protocol 100%. It has a very positive atmosphere... Youll leave there smiling every time, 👍👍👍!
CSL does not pay their employees well and as a result they have a very high turnover rate, especially at this location. The people who have been there forever are amazing and this review in no way reflects them, but Ive been turned away 4 times just this week due to the center being closed for lack of available staff. When they are open, the long wait lines arent worth it. The new donor bonus also doesnt help the wait times because they are taken care of first which is nothing but an inconvenience for veteran donors
Honestly, its not really worth it. It can take anywhere from 2 to 4+ hours to donate, and for that youre given 40 to 55 bucks. Then take into account how often a phlebotomist messes up when inserting the needle which will result in being unable to donate for over a week sometimes.Just not worth it
Ist appt is about 4 hours long bc of paperwork, a physical, and they take a small amount of blood. The actual process takes an hour where you sit in a reclining chair. Definitely bring a book or air pods for music.... and possible a sweatshirt bc its chilly in there. Well worth it for the donation to help others and the money you recieve. Every appt after that you just go straight to the donation room for the hour it takes to take your blood and plasma. Youre allowed 2 days a week and also make sure you eat within 2-3 hours before going or they wont take you!
I have been going here for a few weeks. Besides one really bad experience where one of the staff messed up on the needle, everything is pretty standard as far as donations go. Ive seen the other reviewer claim cleanliness was an issue. I myself have not experienced this but considering all of the experienced staff seem behind the glass and not on the floor I am not surprised. Still, it has free wifi and easy money. Just dont come expecting food or 100 percent professionalism as it does seem pretty laid back. Edit: Changed from a 3 to a 1 star after going there today and the doors were locked 15 minutes early followed by being barely acknowledged as I pounded on the door. Will not be returning and contacting their corporate office.
I have been donating regularly since Spring of 2019 referred by my friend Jerimaine. As a single Mom I am always searching for little ways to earn extra money. I am also a huge environmentally conscious individual and I love helping others. So this is a Win, Win for me. The staff here are professional and courteous. I visit as often as I can considering that I am petite and donating can take more than I can spare at times.
Clean but in a busy place in Buffalo . The hours are of a new business ..for this process and doesnt pay as well as KEDs or Immenoteck in Floridas CSL. Staff seem alittle confused and disorgainized ....still and my phlebotomist ...Joyce ...did not change gloves or wash between clients. The radio was loud enough that I believe could hinder staff to hear the machines. Loud enough that staff drama was announced in front of donors at the door. Staff did talk rudely disrespecting donors in front of other donors . Seating was disorganized. Staff needed to ask who was next to donnors. There was no announcements on gum. candy , food or water on the floor. Cell phone use was not discussed ...with any one the whole 45 minutes i donated . After seated only my last four were asked not my name . Improvements and professionalism needed . The chairs between clients were not washed. Thats just no good....even the bio carts were left in the middle of the floor unattended nu staff ..dang!
I was discriminated there and always have attitude and faces I was told that I can’t talk my language wish is Spanish the only time they were nice was because was one day and because one of the head people was there giving someone bonuses I don’t think that is right to treat people like that and is not only me but everyone was going through same treatment is bad in this location sad but of all only one or two are very nice people one off them came apologize to me
Ive been donating plasma at the Elmwood location for about 5 months 3 weeks ago all my red cells had been returned I have one blood draw left after them trying to re stick me 4 to 5 times in same arm Staff wanted to stick the other arm I Refused On 2 previous occasions I had to be seen at doctors office both arms were badly bruised I have pic and doctors reports nick the office manager told me I was deferred for one week At the end of the week I called to go donate nick story changed now I was deferred for 2 weeks at that point I told nick I find him and some of his staff members To be very unprofessional and I would not be returning to his location on 3 week I called Another location they told me Nick permanently deferred me I called Elmwood location Carroll assistant office manager gave me a bogus excuse Saying I was deferred permanently because I had to other bad plasma donations but yet Ive been seeing them for 5 months I dont donate plasma for the money someone near and dear to me takes life saving medication made from plasma so because Nick didnt like that I told him I find him and some of the staff members Unprofessional he Deferred permanently when Im helping to save peoples lives But yet they are known drug addicts donating plasma every day smdh
The staff in the front of the building are amazing the ones that actually stick people and check machines should get more training they make it seem as if their conversations are more important than the people who are donating you can have a problem with your machine raise your hand and theyll walk past like they dont even see you I seen an incident happen between an employee & a customer supervisor came out and did nothing the employee was so very rude I guess they usually have problems with him sticking people I just wish they talked less to each other on the floor about lunch or what theyre doing when they get off this place lacks professionalism BAD Id give it a 5 if the employees in the back matched the ones in the front
I started donating plasma here a couple months ago and my only complaint is the fact that taking the time to fill out your questionnaire and making an appointment ahead of time on the app absolutely makes no difference . There is always a line to get your vitals that almost always takes longer than actually giving plasma. Ive tried early in the morning, mid afternoon and a couple hours before closing and literally every time I go it takes anywhere from 2-4hrs to get out of there. Oh and occasionally you get lucky and have an employee who gets to cut in line to donate.
I have a job until 3pm. I hate to come on my days off at 7am, to wait for one hour then another 2hrs. Sometim3s I miss my 2nd visit because of that. Wish they can stop closing early. Somedays they open one hour late. If you go to a different location, Thruway Plaza, your balance is different.

2022-04-09I’m updating my review from 1 to 3 stars because I see them making an honest attempt to get their act together. Lots of new hires who are pleasant. Shorter lines and much quicker in and out time.Good ‘ol Robert can still be seen in his natural state, wandering around aimlessly and avoiding work, but there’s always one in the bunch.

2022-07-31Staff and management at this location are unprofessional. Its currently 8:45am, the place is listed to open at 8:00am, and the staff are outside smoking cigarettes with the door locked.Lines are long and slow, and the staff have no interest in keeping things moving. Constant negative remarks about the people who come to donate can be heard. If you have transportation to go to another location, I would recommend doing so.

2022-07-22Tried to go to this place multiple times to become a donor. First time it said they were not taking new donors after 11am due to nurses leaving early. It was 9am so I thought I would be fine but they still denied me. Tried to go again, no sign posted on the door and they once again tell me there’s no nurses to help me. Ridiculous. Done trying to go to this location.

2022-02-23I have donated roughly 2 years now off and on and i have to say the Site on Elmwood is severely understaffed. You only have 1 to 2 phlebotomists working the floor daily. Im currently standing in line now for 30 minutes and still have 8 people in front of me and the donor floor hasnt taken anyone back yet even though theres 2 bays of empty machines. UPDATE: Been here an hour and a half and still not on the donor floor. I strongly suggest finding another site to donate. 3 hrs is Absurd to go through this process

2021-08-02Came in for the first time this past Saturday and everyone I talked to was really friendly! They took the time to make sure everything went smoothly and safely. It’s nice to be able to give to people in need while getting compensated at the same time! Win/Win! Will definitely be coming back again.

2021-09-26I really want to give a better rating but …. I went in one day to get turned away around 4:30 pm , they gave me a $10 coupon for the inconvenience. I came back and now the line is EXTREMELY LONG , with minimal staff .It doesn’t make sense to offer money and tell people how much you appreciate the donations but not provide adequate serviceOr make the time worth it anymore .BASICALLY… increase your staff or make a better schedule.
