CSL Plasma in other cities:
While in the vitals line today I watched n listened to Gregg treat this woman horribly! Then it was my turn and it wasnt a better experience for me. Some of my information wasnt in the computer from my booster shot so I got sent back to the Nurse. She apologized for his behavior n since my health questionnaire was wiped out n Id have to redo it on Kiosk I asked the Nurse if I could just leave.I wasnt going to spend more of my day off being treated so horribly. If Gregg didnt want to be there today he should have stayed home!
The process you go through of being able to donate is probably the best way it can be done all of the procedures such as hematocrit levels, weight, temperature once you get through that and are able to donate the process generally goes smoothly. Only issue is I would say which at times can not be helped is that once you are set up to donate and have the needle inserted depending on many things the staff can and do go through your vein but this is always a possibility which can and does cause bruising which can hinder you from donating days later as you can not have any bruises when coming back to donate. It’s a good place to help others as well as getting compensation from donating. Friendly staff but definitely hard on them as their is always an influx of people constantly.
I went there on a Wednesday and only had a copy of my SS card. I came back Thursday at 5pm and although their website says they close at 6 I was told they stop taking new clients at 430. I came back Friday at 330 and was told they are short staffed and arent taking new clients today. I have wasted 12 dollars in bus fae to come out there. Im giving them 1 star for lack of clarity on their website and for continuing to waste my time.
Anyone and everyone should feel comfortable and safe donating here !!!!! Fabulous First experience, wonderful place,, incredibly clean,, Unbelievably helpful and caring staff,,,,, everyone I came in contact with was awesome,, Informative and Caring..... And money is pretty terrific too !!!!
Completely unprofessional for handling blood donation and its proccess. The establishment made me come back 3 different times due to their lack of relaying proper information needed on form details to those trying to donate. Then when I finally arrived with all the correct paperwork with all the correct dates they made me wait for a half hout just to turn me down becuase I got a tattoo in the past 12months........ 8 months ago. I also brought a friend. They kicked him out of the building completely, after they pulled me in the back room, telling him if hes not donating he cant be in there at all.
So very upset and displeased with them I drove from Utica to Syracuse made apt a week prior ask if I be able to since I am from Utica was told okay called to see if I could be compensated for my time that was wasted money that was wasted to have someone watch my two kids and gas and all I get we can’t sorry why make me apt just to turn me away and waste my time I went to college I don’t drink don’t smoke thought I was doing something to help ppl and the response is we don’t know Utica area and we not sure if address is a drug house or rehab center like I am not a junkie if that’s what u were basically getting at . I raise two kids and I donate to Red Cross too I healthy so ya this place really made me feel some type of way really got me upset not like I was asking for 50$ I was asking for 20$ to compensate for gas I lost that could of last me the week even my son loses out becuz I thought it was win win donate and have gas money to last me the week becuz they pay when u donate but fact they did me wrong like that very upsetting so becuz of this I lost out on 60$ for a baby sister and I lost 20$ for gas and my son can’t go to judo since I barley made it back home I made it to Kirkland when my gas light came on and have to let my son down because I made bad judgement call and thought this place had self respect and would take responsibility when they in the wrong but sad that I am 25 year old and with two kids and told them everything and told them I ask before I even made apt and took time ect and just wanted to be compensated for gas that was all and they couldn’t even do that !!!! Very upsetting
The staff at this center are all very polite and professional. Would definitely recommend donating plasma here at this center. Donating plasma is so important and it saves lives. The staff at this CSL Plasma location explained to me about how important donating is, they are all very educated and they take their jobs serious. Five stars!!!
This place is a joy to visit! The staff especially marla, may, kara and alaythia. They were wonderful. They make saving lives as pain free as possible. However there are some staff there that are a nightmare to work with. They condescend and belittle at every chance I will never affiliate with csl again
BEWARE.. The one manager plays favoritism to certain people. He also puts notes in your files when he is not supposed to. and just because hes a manager the people that are donating dont get a fair chance.. good luck to you all and hopefully dont get the same treatment I did

2022-02-23This place is amazing!!!! The staff is always so nice and welcoming Ive been going here for a few years now. Yes it does get busy and yes we do have to wait but they always maintain to stay professional even on the most busy days. Its very clean never had a problem and they keep up on the cleaning and social distancing. Thanks for everything you do for the donors!

2022-06-14Very slow and understaffed. Employees that are there, are good. But such a lack of staff. Sat in line for over an hour before even getting to the chair

2022-01-11If anyone looking for a good place to go donate plasma in the Syracuse area please do not go to CSL plasma. The staff members are great especially one staff member by the name of Jay. He does a amazing job and very friendly. But the manager Kara she’s very unprofessional I don’t like her she needs to be fired. Every time I come there she makes me and a couple of other donors very uncomfortable. I personally do not recommend this place to anyone. I wish could give this place “0” stars

2021-10-19They have horrible customer/patient service. The people at the front counter are rude no matter which one of them is there. And you can clearly see them slacking off. But the worst part is how they did my veins like I’ve been bruised for about 2 weeks now it’s ridiculous I’m not donating ever again thanks to the guys at my local CSL plasma.

2022-05-20This place is spotless clean and a safe environment. The staff members are polite and very knowledgeable in their profession.Plasma is very important for research and life-saving medicines. They are under very strict federal guidelines so cant be for everyone, if interested I would call them for the guidelines . One of the most generous organizations Ive ever experienced.

2022-04-21Asked how much I would get paid for using this service and was told I was prank calling and sated “I can’t do this” and hung up on me… still haven’t gotten my answer.

2021-11-12While the idea of this is fantastic, this location is definitely not managed well. There are days where they run out of vital items needed to function. There apparently are days where they cant open till 3.5 hrs after the scheduled opening time, while people start lining up an hour before they open. This hastle causes many patrons to not be able to donate because they are so stressed and frustrated with all the hiccups of the management that their blood pressure is elevated and they get deferred.

2021-11-19I don’t think they take these reviews seriously, so many people I know have been bruised and left in pain while donating by an undertrained staff. Clearly it’s to the point where corporate is taking whatever the location collects without caring about experience or reputation.Keep in mind that every review below mine complaining about pain or bruising there are dozens more unreported.
