This supermarket is racist beyond other things. Which is odd considering it seems to be managed by Brown folks. As soon as you walk in youre greeted by a bag check person. Considering that they charge a bag fee for groceries if you bring your own bags why would you need to check them? That means once you pay for your groceries you then walk over to the man, give him your tag (and hope theres not a line) and then go back and bag your food. My Wife who is a non- P.O.C goes in with their personal bags afterwork and has never once been asked to check their bags. They store clearly has this idea that only Black people steal which is completely untrue. While I was shopping there was a White customer they missed who had a bag and the person was stealing!!! I quickly pointed out to the bag check gentleman who thanked me. This store is in a Black neighborhood charging insane prices for a mediocre selection and customer service targeting the same people you are profiting from??? Make it make sense. I just wish there were better options in this area. Its sad really.

Prices are accessible normally in all CTown S .In most stores and CTown they have almost all kinds of products but they dont have crabs because I have never found it. There are many ctowns in Manhattan, also in Queens and others Borough of New York . Normally the people who work in those stores are friendly. So shopping at CTown is a good option..👍😀

Horrible customer service from the female Hispanic manager. She’s very condescending and rude. I came in and was told I needed to check my personal tote bag, and when I stated there’s no legality behind that policy, she replied in a facetious tone that she will google it.A supermarket manager told me, an attorney that she would rather use a search engine and that’s fine. My real issue came when she proceeded to speak about me to her coworkers in Spanish, a language that I’m fluent in. Clearly the staff here need more training and definitely some manners.It’s really irritating that supermarkets that function mainly in urban areas call discriminatory practices such as checking bags a store policy. It wouldn’t fly in an affluent neighborhood. Not that this company could afford to operate there anyway🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

Over priced 3/4 of the stuff. An you should aitch cashier they never know whats in sale. Looking for yams terrible. Watch carefully one price on shelf different one when they ring you up. Always trying to scam someone.

Cashier spanish bish sirena was rude as heck to me. All i did was ask a question cuz what showed up on my screen was different from what’s was advertised

The staff is some of the most helpful I’ve come across. Hope it stay that way and I love having a supermarket so close and the fact that I find my favorite yam here is a PLUS!!!It’s clean, neat shelves,good sales but can be a little pricey without some items being on sale.

I wish I could shut this place down . The prices are way to high. It should be against the law on how high their products are. Never again will I shop here.

Always pleasant experience interacting with staff who go above & beyond. Decent selection, prices are a bit higher then you would find at a bigger chain grocery store, but considering they are a small chain grocery store in Manhattan the increased prices are not totally unreasonable or uncalled for.

Store us SUPER small so they dont have a wide variety. I go there for the kale because its a good price but the leaves are so little. The store is just convenient because of its proximity.
