Youd think these people are collections agents with the aggressive attitude they have with bills that are slightly overdue. My wallet got stolen and I had to replace my credit cards, in that time they called almost every day and when you do try to speak to someone they are rude and unhelpful. They love to threaten you as well so if youre not into being berated, belittled, and harassed Id reccomend getting a unit somewhere else.
Marc and Manager Jeselyn assisted me with my Move in today. They made sure the Cube fit my needs and also serviced me within the Building. The Staff is attentive, polite and professional. Exceptional Customer Service and Team-work!! Come to CubeSmart Bushwick for all your Storage needs!!
This place helped me store my things until the last day of a horrible experience which made me feel very glad I left and found a better storage place with 3x less fees and people who speak to other humans like we have value and worth.The lady at the counter helping me literally chose to go back and forth and into an argument with me. Not listening to the customer, me — which in my opinion even though I was checking out, she could have had a chance to upsell me and perhaps encouraged me to stay with a kind attitude and approach etc Instead, she evaded my questions, questioned my motives, accused me of things while I was telling her I truly didn’t do intentionally but out of my ignorance of their rules. It was a very disappointing experience to say the least. I am glad not to give a company my money to get treated like trash by it’s employees. The young man working next to her apologized on her behalf eventually, he took time to listen to my concerns and helped me complete the transaction after a long back and forth with her. So sad.
I had a great experience at this location. Janeka Helped me. She made things smooth and easy. I came in about 30 min before closing and she helped me move my stuff in quickly. Despite there being little time, her service was great as well as fast. She explained everything to me thoroughly and made sure I understood by answering all questions. Thank You so much!
It was easy to do everything and access my unit while needed. I needed the unit as a between space for my items while I waited for my new apartment so it was appreciated how easy it was and how kind and funny the employees at my location are. The only issue that I had was with the inconsideration of other customers.
The prices are very high. I thought I was going to get the first month free. No such thing. On line your asked when do you need a Storage unit, I said I wanted for the 20th of the month but, the lease was drawn up and I was charged the same day. I originally thought I was making a reservation and my least would start on the 20th. Wasted a whole week not be able to fill the storage. Another mistake I made was thinking the place was 24hrs. The place closes early. This was not good for me because I cant start anything till late afternoon. I also ordered a smaller unit on line then I need. I was shocked to see how small the unit really was. The store manager was really helpful. I got a bigger unit and was able to still stay on the ground floor. I believe prices vary depending on your storage location. I recommend you go check out the place. Order your unit when your ready. Go on site and see what your getting before signing your lease. Make sure to call and confirm if you use the moving (free?) service offered, as no van may be available. It irks me sometimes when one person spreads their belongings all out and block everything. Or that giant stair latter is pushed in my way. I just want to get in and out. The big rat traps had me a little worried. But the place seems well kept. The lock seems a little flimsy. Double check your lock before you leave. Make sure that storage is secure. Overall I would still recommend this place. Its just not a good time for me never had to use storage before.
I rented here and the experience was superb! The hours are long so you can come early in the morning or after school / work which was convenient for me. The security is A+, every customer gets their own access code so I felt like all my belongings were safe! Everyone there was so wondeeful especially Tiffany who was above and beyond, they had great tips about where to get furniture supplies and other things nearby. Thank you!! Do your storage rental with Cube Smart!!! They have boxes moving supplies mattress bags etc... locks...everything you need!!!!
I’ve has the worst moving experience after selling my house. I can’t to CubeSmart and met Julissa and Tiffany which quickly turned things around. They made my transition into storage so much easier and saved me a lot of money by offering the 1st month free. Just when I thought I was done with my move turned out I needed a second cube. I came back and they quickly helped me. Overall great staff and teamwork!
They randomly, without warning, jack up your rent price without even telling you. This happened after only using them for a few months - even during the pandemic theyre price-gouging. The free move they promised was also a mess, with the mover going off to move someone else in the middle of my move. He was incredibly rude and refused to help me carry anything, until he realized I was paying him $100 extra just to actually help me carry things. An overall terrible experience.
We had a super easy experience here. Jeremy helped us moving in and moving out. He was just the greatest with customer service; and helped get me the best price when I realized I had reserved the wrong size. Will definitely use Cube Storage again, and hope Jeremy is there when I do.
I had to move my daughter from Boston to Brooklyn in 2 days. Found CubeSmart - the unit was affordable, clean and convenient. Most of all the staff was extremely helpful. Angie Cruz went above and beyond to help us make this move successful. I appreciate her hard work and patience while helping us. Thanks so much Angie!
Julissa and Angie. The service at this location is exceptional. I get the best treatment whenever I come on. They make sure the store is well stocked and they respond to anything I need. So without exception I give them and excellent review.They both do a wonderful job.
Angie was great! Very efficient. The storage facility is very clean and clutter free. I came in the day before with a lot of questions and they walked me through everything regarding my reservation. I reserved for the next day and filled out all of the paper work on site. Angie and the crew answered all questions I had and was transparent about costs and services.I would highly recommend.
I work with select exterminator I visit the store today. Met with the worker name Mark Ramos he was the maintenance worker, he was so respectful nice helpful show me around the store. He do a good job, it was so clean and maintained properly by Mark. Thank you so much for keep cubesmart so clean.
I dont normally take the time to write reviews, but I was blown away by the customer service provided by David Bartholomew when depositing my items to storage. We pulled up at closing time and not only did David allow us to put our stuff in, he even helped out and did so with a great attitude! Every company would be lucky to have a guy like David on the team that goes the extra mile for his customers!
Ok so I needed a storage on a Sunday 30 minutes before all of the cube smarts were going to close. I booked a reservation across town and I was not going to make. Rushing to the original location that I planned to store at, I drove by cubesmart at 1220 broadway in Brooklyn. I rushed in hoping to get some kind of help being that it was about to close. Tiffany Martin was at the desk. She asked about what I needed and how much I had to store. Even though the facility was closing soon, she made time to show me multiple units and helped me decide which was best. She was very helpful with my family members. Her engagement with the other customers was even surprising. They were so well acquainted with her. My last minute moving experience sucked but Tiffany made my storage experience phenomenal. Even my family members were happy with the outcome. We were going nuts trying to find a storage that would accommodate us at such a late hour on a Sunday. I’m so happy I drove by Tiffany’s store.
They rented my friend a unit without activating the code. I had to return to customer service desk twice to resolve the issue. The General Manager Julissa was unfortunately not very helpful in resolving the issue, which was slightly confusing considering I’ve had wonderful experiences at other CubeSmart locations. This was after being advised to make a questionable decision on storage unit size — she encouraged us to select a larger unit because there was a promotion for half off the first month. After explaining we needed the unit for two months, we ultimately pressed her to do the calculations that showed the unit with no promotion was in fact the cheaper option.None of this is particularly horrific in terms of customer experience, and the facilities seem to be in clean order and good repair. I was just so disappointed after my experiences at other CubeSmarts, and the utter lack of attention to detail coming from the GM makes me worry about how the rest of the customer support must be. After the second trip to correct the code situation, they made me go out th front door into the summer heat and try the code outside to regain access to the facilities instead of the shorter trip through the inner hallway. You’d hope that after the company itself made a mistake (twice) they’d understand a customer’s frustration and go out of their way to provide better assistance, but apparently not.The facilities maintenance personnel and other customers were more helpful than the manager and people behind the customer service desk.
I came in to view a storage space and Janeka was working all by her self and she was sick and even with her dealing with multiple people she was so kind and informative I had many questions and she took her time to answer all of them. Despite the fact that I can tell by the look in her face that she was very weak she held her composure. She is an amazing Manager and I will be back to rent the cube on Tuesday. And I will also refer friends and family to this facility just because of Janeka. I look forward to handling business with CubeSmart and Janeka in the near future.
I had a wonderful experience. Janeka Watters made me feel very comfortable and welcome, despite the fact that I walked in close to closing time. She was fast and efficient in getting me exactly what I needed while being kind and friendly at the same time. I feel good knowing that my items are in her care and will be looking farward to using this cubesmart from now on!
Not worth the price. Limited hours which is ridiculous for New Yorkers schedules. The price went up and nothing improved. I preferred the company that owned this space before cubesmart took over. I found something cheaper and closer to my home with better store hours. Look for other alternatives before here. Clean space though but understaffed. If you need something and the attendant is showing a new client a space. The office is locked and theres nobody there. One has to wait. Not good.
Great customer service. I was very well accommodated by the staff and moving into the facility was very easy and fluid. However the pricing of my space was inconsistent. I kept coming back to ensure a space and they kept marking it up upon my returns, which makes me think that they micromanaged my deal.
This is best storage location within a 30mile radius. I use storage for personal and business purposes and never ever before have I experienced such helpful, nice, and patient staff members in a a storage location. The men were helpful expecially the bald headed black guy his expertise in customer service and hospitality was spectacular, I forgot his name. But from the moment I walked through the door I was nervous about a new storage location, but from introduction to when I finished moving in he was there extremely helpful. The location is also above standard, the location is super clean. One of my couches was too heavy to lift so I dragged it across the floor and after I lifted it up the back part that slid across the whole floor was still clean and underlying. Id recommend this location to anyone that needs storage with high level and a capable staff.
Ive rented a unit from you a for 3 years. And the customer service was superb Lameek,Julissa,David, Decroucy, I guess all of that excellent customer service went out the window. Once I moved out yesterday? Upon doing so, I noticed that there were numerous amounts of rat feces all over my clothes and belongings. Im so upset at the fact that I had to throw away the vast majority of all of my things, as well as me not getting photographic evidence showing such, nor did I tell the store employees? I feel like I have paid you all for three years of filth. And I had insurance on my unit? What am I to do now?
Good service but the price I was told on the phone was completely different when I got to the store. The floor to my storage unit which is above a bigger one doesnt seen as sturdy as I would prefer it to be which concerns me. Christina is awesome. Very nice and helpful. And the location is convenient.
Even though i came to purches boxes i was amazed by the staff julissa and angie. julissa was so helpful with helping my choose the right sizes. angie was so polite by asking if i wanted water or coffee free of charge even candy! the lady are awasome and lefts nog forget the beautiful halloween decortations. it feels like i was in a real hau ted house lol
The service here was okay, once I convinced them to help me. The hours on the door say they are open until 7, and I walked in at 6:43 with a large musical instrument I intended to store there, having made a reservation online previously. When I walked in they didnt want to help and told me they were closed (even though I was already in the office...). Then they said the office closed at 6:45, which it seems like they were making up, and that was why they wouldnt help me. I pointed out that it was 6:43 and I was clearly standing in their office with a large item that any reasonable person would not want to then carry back home. Finally they agreed to help me. All I was trying to do was pay for their service based on an appointment I made so it was pretty off putting to have to make an argument for myself just to be a customer. Once they decided to help me they were nice enough but I wont be going back after this month. I dont like businesses that try to tell you they are closed and wont help you after you are already inside the business, and within their posted hours.
Really good service, very well kept facilities with high security standards. A bit pricy but you get what you pay for: higher quality. You can pull large SUVs and trucks right into loading dock and put things on elevators easily. Climate control means no sweating yourself drowned while loading your unit.
I wish I could give them lower rating. I was storing stuff for when I went out of town. When I was there they told me I could send them my proof of insurance. But when I tried to they told me i had to come in store. I was 5 states away. They would not let me email it at all. Such cheapskates they don’t want to give you any discounts.
I normally do not post on any sites regarding businesses yet Cube Smart located at 1220 Broadway in Brooklyn treats their customers with no respect, they deceive and are not transparent. In addition, they dont respect customer confidentiality and they discuss customers and their personal business with third parties. The company needs to invest in hiring staff who are college educated. The service is horrible. Until they remove and fire the current store manager they will continue to have issues. The Better Business Bureau and Consumer Affairs both need to investigate and look into their business practices. They profile customers. If the company wants to air out everything please, by all means, let me know.
So they keep the 1 month free sign on the windows even tho its not their current deal. I know for sure that I choose Cube Smart on Broadway because of the 1 month free sign outside. There are tons of other little things that are purposely annoying. For example, they show you super low prices that seem like you need to go with them, then they tell you that the super low priced storage you asked for is hard to get to and I need to get a ladder to move in. Just to clear it up they want you to carry boxes up a ladder and except you not to die. Just as they wanted, I ended up taking the more expensive storage so that I dont break my neck. Another thing is that if you dont pay your bill for 2 months they take pictures of all your stuff and auction it off, so be sure to pay on time. Lastly, they are open at really inconvenient times. They open right when you need to be at work and close before you can go home. So unless your a stripper, you might need to take a day off work to move in your stuff.
The following individuals were extremely inspirational, helpful and professional ... GENERAL MANAGER. ... Ms. Julissa Morales and two other Mr. Akeem Gordon and Ms. Tiffany Martin. I trust that your other Mangers at other locations are the same. I would recommend any of my friend and I have done that already.
Please be advised in your lease agreement they swear it says it but it doesnt!!! this location gives you a rent increase every six months. they claim the lease says this and it doesnt! all it says in Section C: Owner may change the terms of this agreement by notifying me 30 days in advance I had to call to see why my rent was being raised. I will be removing my stuff ASAP. Also, they do not provide one free month like advertised! this place is a rip off!!!!
There is a reason this place is so cheap. they are in a bad area and their staff is incompetent. they charged me for two different units (although we only had 1, obviously) and refused to reverse the payment. I had to call my credit card company to get it taken off.Find somewhere else.

2020-10-31Had a great chat with the management team. They helped cut of a lock that I had left there for two years. Finding my cube room was like beating a shrine in the level of Zelda. The fizzling in and out of the pop music on the radio and the flickering lights and strewn a out carts. Love going to Cubesmart. Feels like the future.

2021-12-16Access to storage space closes too early.No pro-rated amounts when closing out a unit. Full month rentals only.Staff was nice and the place was clean.I would be fine with full month for the first month and then be able to close out on partial months but whatever, theyll have an empty unit sit for a month, unavailable for a new client. They lost me as a client forever.

Then go to this location!Do you like staff that is rude and if youre rude back, puts a lock on your unit as retaliation? Then go to this location!Oh, and do you like getting charged for an entire month when the day you need to move is one day after the next scheduled monthly payment? Then go to this location! Garry Merritt, the District Manager, can approve to pro-rate the month, but he wont.

Why does CubeSmart allow this behavior from their employees???I pay thousands of dollars a month only to show up and the location is closed??? No other CubeSmart locations do this!!!

2021-09-27Management does an amazing job with upkeeping, cleanliness, security and customer service. Staff is always polite, responsive and willing to serve. Definitely worth to store my items here; right below the J Train line. Managers and service are on point; would give 10 stars if I could.

2021-10-04My most heartfelt thanks to the Bushwick CubeSmart team. They were super helpful and flexible with my last minute move-in and unit transfer just 30 minutes before closing time. Moving is incredibly stressful, but they were so kind and empathetic and did everything they could to make things go as smoothly as possible. 2021-09-26I showed up for a reservation on august 31 only to have both of my reservation cancelled . The lady claimed( i have video of the incident as well ) that i had cancelled it . I am hard of hearing and instead of both employees understanding my fustration of having a 2 separate reservations cancelled on the day i was moving . They choose to call the police , the police did nothing as i showed video of the incident and the employees were super rude refusing to give their name to the police the police suggested i write a letter / email. I did immediately i was contacted by the district manager gary merrit who also had just one phone call and never followed through once j said i would be writing a review on yelp.This was one of the most humiliating experience i have had as a person with a disability. Its been a few weeks and no one has contacted me to apologize.By the way the next day i received a phone call from this place wondering were i was for the reservation a text and a phone call. So i have no idea if the reservation was originally cancelled or this place just doesn’t like to rent storage for people that are hard of hearing . Anyway i ended up renting at extra space storage on empire blvd and they were so much cheaper i pay 39 bucks a month for a unit that cubesmart was charging 119 and was smaller . Also the women was highly annoyed when i asked her to open the storage at cube smart to check the space out.I sent the video to the bbb, ada and other organizations and are waiting to hear back .
