It’s a an okay storage unit if you just need something super basic and quick. But it’s pretty dirty, they have mice and bugs. I actually found bugs in some of my stuff when I moved out of the unit. It’s also not temperature controlled so you can’t store everything you might want to. Not really worth the money they charge.
It was terrible. The space that I was assigned, after carrying all my things to that floor, wasn’t big enough. This was after I told the guy that was working how much things I had, and also after I was recommended this space (5x10) by a phone representative. So then I get told to move all of my things from the 3rd floor to the basement level because there was a larger space down there, which took another couple hours. I literally had to cram and squeeze all of my things white furniture, mattress/bed spring you name it. I was highly frustrated and angry and I let the guy who was working know that. I was severely inconvenienced and the only reason I didnt Just leave and take my things out is because I literally had nowhere else to store them and I was already exhausted from all the moving. NEVER AGAIN! It turned into a whole 6 hour ordeal. I was the last person to leave the premises after arriving at 5pm didnt leave until after 11pm. Cube Smart is the worst! Ive used storage companies in the past, never have I had an issue like this ever. No compassion no compensation for inconvenience or misinformation. “Just pay more money for the space “ thats what I was told. NEVER AGAIN.
The worst experience with a storage facility I’ve had. The customer service representatives are nice, but none of them can actually help you with your problem. I was supposed to receive a refund for over a month now, and no matter who I call and talk to “they can’t do anything about it.” They point fingers and never actually answer any of my questions. Shameful.
This location had been working well at first. We enrolled in auto pay which seemed convenient at first. However, we received a double charge one month, which was resolved. Then, recently, they completely overcharged us nearly triple the amount we have been paying, apparently blaming the credit card company. Claiming the card had been declined, which we didn’t receive any notice about from the credit card. This place is not trustworthy at all!
I have been a customer here for quite sometime. Today was one of there busier days and only one manager (she has low haircut) was in office dealing with approximately 12 customers. She seemed to had everything under controlled. She acknowledged every customer and was very patient, treated every customer with a welcoming smile. The building is not the best but the customer service makes up for that.
Easy to use. Only downside it we were told we would get a free truck to either load or unload our unit if we wanted. We chose to use a truck when we moved out of the unit, but when we called to book we were told free trucks were only for moving into and unit and not out. So that was disappointing that we were informed incorrectly
Well it has been a while the last time I was there where the manager was very nasty and unprofessional.Yesterday was wonderful, the gentleman was very helpful and patient with me.Really a great service and nothing to complain about.Very good customer service and fast and good service.
Kevin was amazing, but the storage itself is rubbish! I spent 20 minutes there four days ago but I still have rash on my hands from the powdered RAT POISON thats sprinkled all over the floor in units. I inhaled so much of it in just twenty minutes that I had bitter taste in my mouth for two days, felt very nauseous and sick. Despite the poison there are RAT DROPPINGS all over the place. A giant SPIDER fell on me in the unit which was horrible! But the saddest thing is that we had to throw away our expensive sofas because they didnt for through the door of a 6 x 11 unit! We will be back in town this week to move our things some place else. I bought masks and gloves for that but the thought of going back there is terrifying. That storage is beyond all sanitary and safety codes. The floors are rotten, covered in poison and poop, the ceilings and pipes have leak stains.UPDATE: I did contact customer service but nobody got back to me. Please respond ASAP, we will be terminating our contract tomorrow unless you can offer a cleaner location. I already booked a unit with Clutter who confirmed they dont have rats or chemicals.
We has scheduled a unit, came in to view it. The guy shows us around, we agree, we state when to return. Eventually we arrive on the day as agreed and somehow, there was a mix up even after coming to see the unit. And the staff decided to lie and say the unit was being worked on and so wasnt available, but truly somehow they had messed it all up and given it to someone. They werent helpful or remorseful. The lady with the short hair had an attitude and it was all just a mess. If you can go somewhere else, TAKE YOURSELF ELSEWHERE!Also when dealing with them ask for a receipt, confirmation email everytime!! EVERYTIME!Tbh there was one staff who had a better attitude and was nicer. Shoutout to her because of her i still used them
My wife and I went in a few days ago. The store manager assisted us and he was very helpful, informative and professional; He filled us in with all the information we needed. I will give the costumer service full 5 stars. 4 Stars on the actual building. The building is old, but they still manage to maintain it clean. I will come back over this weekend.
I signed up online. I went over there and I turned right around. Filthy. Scary. No thank you. Now I have to figure out what to do with my stuff. Oh and I don’t know how they have the best customer service. The lady at the shop was nice but the people you talk to you at the 800 number online were nasty. Talking all kinds of smack. My experience here was awful. When I got my things, there was a ton of rodent poop in my unit. It was all over some of my belongings, such as lamps, towels, and hand weights I was storing there. The second floor had a weird, terrible smell and now all of the belongings I had stored there have the same smell. Ive been trying to wash everything, but Ive also been throwing a lot away. The whole point of using storage was to not have to get rid of my things. It was also expensive, and the price went up more than once. I feel like if you use indoor temperature controlled storage, your things should come out the same as they went in.
Great place to store belongings or whatnot. Staff was super friendly and informative of which I loved. Easy to use and rules are simple. Location was amazing and easy to get to especially being that I have family/friends in the neighborhood. Urban area. Only thing I hate is that they close so early (7pm). If it were open to people with units 24/7 or at least a little later it would be better being that I have a crazy life and work crazy hours so I won’t always be able to make it before 7 or if an even pops up I can’t always grab what I need and go but the location is super convenient.
My Experience With CubesSmart was quite pleasant. I visited this location a day in advance to confirm a few details and, the staff was very professional and helpful. Their Customer service is definitely 5 Star in my opinion. I would, with out hesitation recommend CubeSmart To a Friend. Customer service is everything.
I called for information regarding storage options. I received courteous and helpful information. When I went to CubeSmart the manager on duty, Rae Grant, was exceptionally helpful and easy to work with.Two concerns: the lighting in the facility needs upgrading; the hours of operation-- especially on weekdays-- need to be increased. I have recommended this location to my neighbors.
I reserved a storage unit after doing my research for one that would fit in my budget. When we got there they wanted to know what the unit would be utilized for. We chose a unit that we thought would be big enough however when we got home and re-evaluated how the storage unit would be used, within the same hour we went back to try to upgrade the unit to a bigger size. When we got there the staff told us that even though we just got a brand new unit that the promotion would not transfer to a new unit and we would have to pay a balance of $175. This policy makes no sense to me, however everyone is entitled to their rules. I would advise anyone that comes here to list everything you plan to put in The unit because they question you to no ends and are sarcastic with their expressed commentaries. 😑 The staff are unaccommodating and not particularly good with customer service. I would not recommend to a friend.
I visited this location hoping to get storage since I have a new baby on the way and already have a 3 year old, Ive been shopping around and since Ive heard so many good things about Cube Smart and its very convenient for me as I do live in the area I thought this would be the perfect place.... Unfortunately when i arrived i met Becky, the most disrespectful rudest person I have every encountered in my 33yrs of life!! She ignored me the first 10mins of me standing there trying to get her attention and when she finally did acknowledged me she barely answered my questions and just gave me the impression that I was bothering her!!! But what really took the cake was her rolling her eyes at my daughter!! She is very unprofessional very rude, I asked to speak to her manager which she stated she was the manager which is very surprising, so I asked to speak to her boss and she rolled her eyes again and stated hes unavailable... Im just so disgusted on how I was treated!! And if that was the manager I cant imagine how the employees are...I will continue looking for storage but I will never rent at cube smart!!
Walked into cube smart just to inquiry about storage as I would need it eventually just not now but wanted to know the process, I met miss grant at the front counter who was very helpful and informative, she showed me a few rooms so I can get an idea of the size I would need. As much as I was a pain asking so many questions she was very patient and her smile never left her face she asked me to write a review and it was the least I can do after holding her up for so long. I will be storing with you soon miss grant
I like representative Eric Dunn he is a very professional and approachable professional. He knows how to handle customers and assess all their needs. As for Justin Melendez, he is not too much of a nice person he is very harsh and abrasive as well as very pompous and needs to work in a back office somewhere, where he has less contact with customers because he is a very bad representation of Extra Space Storage.
Adrian, Eric & team are awesome. They take the time to show the ropes. This facility ensures the customers are treated as priority & like family. Keep up to good work team. The Albermarle Rd facility on top of their so you wont be thisThey are very experienced, honor their customers like family. I highly recommend this Albermarle Rd branch!! It is a great investment so you wont be disappointed.
Eric Dunn customer service was very informative, helpful and friendly.The cleaning guy sorry I don’t know his name was friendly and acknowledged me as I walked in with a friendly hello.The storage place is very clean.I seen rat traps out but thank god no rats…..WE ALL KNOW THIS IS NYC. LolThere are a lot of people on foot that walk in and out just off the streets.They look like they know where there going but it was so much random foot traffic kind of like a school.When we got on the elevator there was a condom on the floor wrapped up still but EEEEeeeeeee.Also there are a lot of homeless people there….I know things happen in life but I ran into about 4 guys and 1 lady the 2 days I was there back and forth storing my stuff.1 guy was changing he had towels on the floor pants open….it mad me feel uneasy even more that the lights are on a timer so as I was hurrying passed him I ran in to some dark depends grrrrrrr not cool. I keep hearing some movements over and over in one storage unit then latter to see a guy outside of it cleaning his feet with a toothbrush he had a little bathhouse set up. Not cool……The 2th day the same guy cleaning himself again and the bag lady walking all over like she was security just walking all over with no destination up and down the elevator.There was a nice guy that we hired as a extra hand to move are stuff in……he did not nag or hustle us he was nice and asked we asked him a price but he said whatever you want to pay me ill help.We did take good care of him his name was Panama sweet older man…..I went to us that bathroom there is no sink in the bathroom so you have to go outside to wash your hands….eeeeewww to think how many people touch there business and then have to open the door to wash your hands….nasty…..it was clean some drips on the floor I don’t want to really think where because there is no sink. SmhAss I did my business there was not toilet paper to wipe my business….so I just had to shack it fast……I walked to the front office to let some one know there was no toilet paper …..I ran in Eric he was so sweet and apologized and offered me to us the employee bathroom.I said thank you so kindly but I made it work…...After I washed my hands I seen the homeless guys cleaning up and changing it look like he was the toilet paper bandit.Because the cleaning guy just cleaned the bathroom.I told one of the guys I was not feeling the homeless activity the guy said yeah we cut that out a lot it was more before.Noooott cool…..I fobbed my mother to go there by herself.I just don’t feel its safe for a women.
I am very pleased with this storage location. The staff is phenomenal. I was greeted by a gentleman named Eric. He was very polite and answered all my questions with a smile. I am confident that i made the right choice in choosing this location to store my valuables.Thank you !!
Good enough service, aside from the fact that they do not open at the time they advertise. Im still waiting here at 10:30 when opening was supposedly at 10, and theres not an employee in sight. Trust that I can have access to my things on time is a pretty big deal... Will not use CubeSmart again. 6/16/19
Eh it does what u need it to do i guess. Store your ishBut if u have a locker unit, prepare to hunt down a ladder everytime you need to go into the storage and the bathroom is always disgusting. Also they close really early so u know dont need stuff after 7 on week days and 4 on sundays.
The Cube On church Ave in Brooklyn is a trip. They dont work with you, after thirty days yr unit is put up for auction if they havent received a payment. When it was tuck it away they would email you and let you know they havent received a check, they gave you two months before they took action. And dont get me started on the late fees. Ive been looking for a different storage facility. Cube Is not the move.
This storage unit is UTTERLY DISGUSTING !!! The rat feces are bigger than a human beings AND these rodents are eating and destroying all of my boxes and equipment. Astacia Soto (store manager) told my husband & I today (4/14/18) that their exterminator sets traps bi-monthly and frankly the only way to eradicate these beasts is to shut the entire building down. SMH. Only in NY. Meanwhile, she claims corporate is responsible for raising the rental costs annually, BUT, she did offer a solution. WOULD YOU LIKE TO PAY FOR INSURANCE?? SERIOUSLY? Ive been at this site before they took it over now theryre rats yes rats and roaches all on the second floor i miss tuck it away store your stuff here with caution you will end up throwing out most of your stuff out frustration. Also there are homeless people who walk in to the building to use the bathroom early in the morning, the staff is aware of it and has done nothing as far as access control
SCAMMERS. BEWARE. They dont want to give you wait you paid for. Theyll try to give you something MULTIPLE cubic feet smaller than what you paid for. Then theyll point to the lease and say it says approximate size. Approximate is a few inches, not 25% of the volume paid for.
Nasty dirty place no room temperature and they told me it was but its not they gave me a room they had five foot drop took it out of my space and I want my stuff out of there now and theyre being uncooperative and they didnt tell me that I get a free pick pick up to the place I was deceived

2021-09-27Very nice and helpful staff, efficient check-in, reasonable prices. The location is very convenient. We were in and out very quickly. I used the unit for several months when I was storing boxes when I was moving offices. Check-out was just as efficient and staff was just as pleasant on move-out as move-in. I would definitely recommend this facility.

2021-08-03Worst customer service Ive ever experienced. Got there at 6:45pm after a crazy day of running errands and packing cause I was moving out of the country the next day. We had to drop two small bags of valuable stuff were not able to take on the plane with us. All the gates were closed and the office doors gate was halfway closed, so we could knock and someone opened. We told the woman at reception that we needed to drop our two bags really fast and she said last call was at 6:45, I checked the clock and it was 6:46, I told her it was 6:45 when we got in and now she said last call was at 6:43. We told her we called in the morning and they said they closed at 7pm, we checked the website and my contract and it said access hours from Monday to Friday are 8am to 7pm and she kept saying she couldnt let us in. We explained our specific situation and told her we couldnt go the next day because we had an early flight and she wouldnt listen and she would just talk over me and yell. We went outside at 6:49 and found out that office and access hours were posted outside the building and both said 8 to 7. We tried to get into the office again (wasnt 7 yet) and she closed the gate in our faces. We called a phone number we found on the website and talked to a customer service agent, she tried to call the office to tell her to let us in and they wouldnt pick up the phone. Im just mesmerized of how rude this woman was to us and how she wouldnt even let us talk or listen to us.

2021-10-22When I called after Hurricane Ida to see if there was any water damage, I didnt receive any confirmation about the status of the basement units and was disappointed to see that our unit WAS affected when I came to move out four days later. It was on that day that we received a Cubesmart email warning of potential damage, but I would have come much sooner as the temperature of the basement was so hot and humid that mold bloomed on almost all of my belongings, rendering many things unsalvageable. Plus an inch and a half of water with no on-site options for waste removal. Since early September, Ive put in a claim with the store manager and have received no follow-up. I would not recommend this storage unit location to anyone.

2021-09-24Upkeep of this place is bad. They are not very good and alerting people of issues like leaks and fires. I recently was looking at moving out but decided to look at a smaller unit and was shown a unit that had a large number of rat droppings. Save your time a money and go somewhere else.

2020-09-19Was in a jam last minute and CubeSmart was incredibly helpful securing me a unit and although the free mover service is not same day, it is a nice touch. Also their front desk personnel is great. I was helped by a very nice woman who showed me directly to my unit which I would not have found otherwise.
