I’ve been using this location for a year, but went there today to move out. I expected to take what I did, and toss the rest. I was feeling wasteful and bit sad to trash the remaining items, but financially it was my best choice… I thought.The manager (Jeffrey) over heard my situation and had a solution. He help me find a unit that I could afford (it was 1/5 the price!) and keep these items a bit longer. Very very happy and thankful for his help.
Surprisingly pleasant and easy to work with staff that made sign-up, move-in, maintenance, move-out procedures a breeze. Lots of locations so had a good pick as well as options for room sizes + truck/mover during move-in was a nice bonus. More than anything the staffs professionalism was the reason for the stars.

I had an excellent experience with the CubeSmart on 46th Street in Astoria. I have had my belongings in one of their outdoor storage units for nearly a year. I have only visited the site twice during that time, and both times I visited my belongings were in the same condition they were on the day I dropped them off. I want to commend Sharisse Beckford, in particular, for all her professionalism, kindness, and good humor. Sharisse was great to work with. I highly recommend this storage facility.
All the right reasons. Its environmentally controlled (ie - indoors with heat & a/c); this facility is maintained very well - its always clean whenever we come; carts are always available; office staff is always very helpful, informative and respectful; its also competitively priced. I will continue to use this facility, and recommend it to anyone who asks.
The customer service, it is beyond exceptional! The ambiance is spectacular, and the staff is great! Especially Kivon and Reese! They know their job very well, they explain everything, and they’re such down to earth people. The only thing I would say that needs to improve is the bathroom, but nothing too much to complain about.

About 2 years ago I use to rent a storage out with cubesmart at the sunny side location and omg were they amazing!So when it came time to looking for a new storage this year I found this one closer to my home.Miss Sharisse Beckford was super helpful with my transition back into a new space at the 46th street location.I expressed my worries to her pertaining to being on a time limit to get everything moved in and she was more then happy to assist me every step of the way to assure I have a quick and painful move into my new storage.I can honestly say she went above and beyond for me and really helped me feel more at ease for the move in date.I normally don’t have time to write reviews but Miss Sharisse truly took her time to cover everyone of my concerns and needs.Honestly that’s rare to find these days so a quick shout out to Miss Beckford for helping take a huge weight of my shoulders 🙏🏼.As for the space it’s perfect! Clean! Well maintain, room temperature, I was satisfied with every inch of it. Cube smart alway knows how to meet my highest standards.

All the store managers are very professional and beyond nice to deal with. The facility we used was incredibly clean and well kept. The location we used was also excellent. Its easy to get to from any of the boroughs and had tons of space for parking and room to have our movers come in hassle free. Great Experience, quick and simple no complication at all. Jannette and Selina were a great help, they explained everything thoroughly. I was in and out under an hour in my first visit, Selina showed me the unit I was renting and moved in the same day after finalizing the purchase. I reserved an appointment the day before and they explained everything through the phone as well, they reminded me to bring a lock but I forgot it and they provided one for an extra charge but was happy nonetheless. I would recommend 10/10.

The team members at my local CubeSmart are fantastic and extremely helpful. There was what appeared to be a small wet spot in the original space I rented which they reviewed with maintenance and they were able to move my space a few down to a drier spot while they work to get that wet spot fixed. 100% recommend this location to friends since we all live in NYC and can always use more room.
Was a great experience. There was just one person working. She was a very very helpful and sweet woman. I had a fantastic and easy experience. Just remember to bring a lock. Bo one did say i needed a lock and that i needed to have insurance on my belongings. I have stored things before and you do always need a lock... that was my bad... but I have never had to have insurance on my items. I do like when businesses are transparent. However, in the end, I still had a great experience and the unit was still a fairly good deal.
Great experience! The facility was clean, check-in was quick, and they provided large dolleys to make moving items into/out of the storage much easier! The only reason why its 4 instead of 5 stars is because the office is open later than the actual storage unit is open... so for example, the storage area closes at 6:30pm (so you wont be able to access, move in, or move out your items after that time), but the main office stays open until 7pm, so its a little backwards. Otherwise, staff was friendly, they run an awesome 1 month free promotion, and I would highly recommend to anyone needing a short-term rental!
Very clean facility and really nice staff! On my move-in day Selina helped me get settled and was really understanding and helpful while I was dealing with the movers. She made sure my unit was everything I needed and enough space. I will definitely use CubeSmart for my storage needs again!
Cube smart was great! I was able to use their van free of cost, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, the storage unit was clean, and I was able to use a moving van and driver for two hours at not cost. Altogether it was a great experience and I highly recommend using CubeSmart!

Selina assisted me while I rented a 5’ x 10’ cube as I prepare for a move. Selina was funny, efficient and all things needed to assist in the rental process. She explained the details of what the monthly fees would be, how it renewed, and what the difference in floors are. She has another customer come in while she was assisting us , who was less than pleasant, but she remained professional, and continued to work. Happy we picked here, and might consider keeping The Cube post move (space in Astoria is tight), just because of her professionalism. :-)!
Far and away the best moving experience Ive had almost solely because of the staff working at this CubeSmart location. Honest, straight forward, attentive. Everything you hope to get but rarely receive. Clean building. Clear instructions. All well and good. Shout out to Sharisse B. for going above and beyond with her help and resourcefulness with my move-in. Would recommend this place to anyone moving around in Astoria or Queens or frankly anywhere in the greater NYC area who needs space (if that wouldnt overwhelm them too much)Have a 5*5*4 space for 20$ a month plus the mandatory insurance for an extra 12$ so Im paying 32$ a month. Keep an eye out for specials like mine. Worth it. Have a great, stress-free move-in!
We had a really easy time setting up our storage unit! Selina was super helpful and friendly. She was very clear about communicating the rules and fees, and we had a very positive experience overall! My boyfriend says, She crushed it! And on Memorial Day of all days!
So easy to use, great promo pricing, fantastic customer service, honestly Cubesmart has been the only positive part of my move out of state! For those wondering, my unit was climate controlled (quite cool in June) and the building and units were very clean.
Brand new storage unit in Astoria. The prices are the lowest amongst other competitors in the area. The staff are super friendly and very assisting. Sherese helped me and my wife set everything up. She explained and toured the facility for us. Answered any questions we had and was very friendly. I highly recommend any looking to upgrade or get a new storage unit in Astoria to check this place out.
Janette was extremely helpful and patient with me. The process was swift and she answered all of my questions with professionalism. She adjusted my storage space without a problem. She understood my needs and was most accommodating. When moving into the storage unit she supplied me with a temporary lock until I moved in without charging me (I had a lock, but totally forgot it!). She went beyond for me and I am most grateful.

One thing that will always hold true in life is that relationships usually account for 90% of the determining factor in who you do business with. The manager Sharisse is the #1 reason we continue to work with Cube Smart of Astoria. Her amazing attention to detail, ability to work efficiently while answering any questions we have, along with a great attitude makes it so easy to work with her. We truly appreciate her for the great job she always does for us. If you need a storage solution, Sharisse is the person you want to go see!
This facility is brand new, super clean, and has sufficient, covered parking/loading spaces. Its never too busy, yet it feels very safe and secure. The front desk faces the parking lot too, so you know that somebody is always near by if anything were to happen in the midst of loading and unloading. Doors are very secure, especially if you are on a top floor. I did a lot of research on storage spaces before moving in, and Im greatly happy with my choice.Do note that they advertise the first month free, but charge a one time administrative fee for $25 + you still pay insurance (I chose the $12/month option which insures up to 2k) + ~$18 for a lock.All in all, Id say that $56 the first month and $93 thereafter, in a borough of NYC isnt bad for a 5 x 7.5 unit that fits a queen sized mattress, dresser, and lots of other junk. Get in before everybody else looking for storage discovers it! ;)
The moment we walked in we experienced great customer service. We were greeted and explained our options and were showed the spaces we were interested in. The woman we met with was friendly & extremely knowledgeable about the space. I appreciate good customer service since its very hard to come by these days!

Incredible experience with extremely helpful staff! I had to change my move in date a couple of times and everything worked out seamlessly. Facilities are newer and clean. Definitely recommend this place.
This is a great storage facility, with new lockers and well-maintained. I was given a lock with two keys. One key worked and the other didnt. Unfortunately, I only realised this when I went back to my locker to put some additional items in. I took the key that did not work, and left the key that did at home, and a kind employee (didnt get his name) told me that they could cut the lock, and give me another set of keys. Another employee showed up and asked me how far away the other key was and then proceeded to tell me that I would have to go back and get the other key because she checked all the keys and there is no way my key couldnt work. (basically telling me that I was wrong and this was not her mistake). I asked her if I could speak to someone else, and she said Im the manager. The General Manager will be here on Wednesday so you can talk to her then. At this point I am dripping in sweat, carrying luggage, and told that I am lying that the key given to me does not work. To top it all off, I am told that this will not be resolved for 2 days, unless I pay for either transport to go home and get the key that DOES work, or pay for a new lock, for no fault of my own. Cubesmart- let me ask you this- Would you rather sever a relationship with a customer that is paying a recurring monthly fee for an indefinite amount of time than accept that you made a mistake and did not check the keys properly prior to handing them out? The person I spoke with is Sharisse Beckford. Oh- to top it all off, as Im leaving I ask Sharisse for the General Managers contact information. She says take that card its over there”, indifferently pointing to a stack of cards on the counter. The information on the card is the same for both the General Manager and Manager. Same phone number, same email address. Id rather write a review here than send the GM an email, that will end up in Sharisses inbox and never be seen again. A disappointing ordeal to say the least.

I was using various search engines and found Cubesmart to be the best balance of affordability and trustworthiness when comparing to other places in Queens, so I made a reservation for a space online. I was kind of guessing about how much space I needed since Id never been to Cubesmart, but it turned out fine because Selina (from this Cubesmart office) gave me a tour and helped me estimate how much space I would need. There are trolleys there to help you cart your things. And everything fit perfectly so it went awesome! Thanks, Selina!

2022-06-20I have been a customer of Cube Smart for years and have had multiple different storage units. Recently I had to move after my apartment flooded and had to get an even larger storage unit. I went in and spoke with Kat. Not only was she wonderful but she streamlined my entire experience and was a consummate professional. She is an asset to the team and a great employee!

2019-07-24This is a brand new facility with lot and plenty of parking. I been in lot of different storage units but here I felt like a movie star, Selina was super professional, fun and friendly. She explain every part of the contract, show me the storage unit and advise about the lock as well.They have really good prices, I rented just a small unit but considering to get a bigger one here since their prices are low compared to other location.Thank you so much for the help.

2020-12-15While I have no complaints about my experience with CubeSmart, they are complicit in partnering with a moving company in the state of NY that struggled to complete my move. The company they partner with is called A Super Move, look them up and read their reviews for yourself. The majority of their business is people moving items to storage thanks to their partnership with CubeSmart. As a result perhaps, they can afford to have abysmal service since they have few return customers.I had what can only be described as a nightmare move, which took 26 hours to complete from a 1 bedroom apartment to a storage unit. Throughout, the company CubeSmart partners with gave me the runaround and kept my stuff overnight out of my sight. The next day, boxes we unloaded were damaged.Edit: Ive updated the review and rating to reflect the fact that the President of the partner company called, apologized and offered a full refund because of what I had to go through. This is a family owned business that can certainly improve their processes and I was assured they will do better next time.

2020-01-30Exceptional service from start to finish. Facilities are super clean! Throughly impressed by how knowledgeable and friendly the staff were especially when selecting a date to move in. They do offer a move in van service however it is worth noting this CubeSmart is pretty close to a UHaul location. Highly recommend this as your storage option!
