Destiny is the BEST Customer Service Representative Ive had in a long time! OMG!She called to welcome me though I reserved online. She explained everything to me with a smile in her voice. She was patient and understanding.As luck would have it, she was the person I spoke to when I needed to cancel. She remembered me and treated me so respectfully.Im sorry I dont need the space, but I would rent based on Destiny!
So Ive been a long time customer and honestly this place is amazing all of the staff Lynise, Derwin, Jonquil, BiBi and shawn are always beyond friendly and helpful. I cant say enough good things about this place, like Ive had my fair share of storage units but this is definitely the cleanest one with great staff.
It was uneventful which is a GREAT thing. The staff was always patient, kind and courteous and if you frequented the facility enough, they knew you by name or face. Lenise got us started by phone and seeing the unit. James and Destiny are who we frequently saw throughout our visits. They were great. It was a calming experience during a stressful moving time.
I was there the other day, and the young lady Destiny Jones was extremely pleasant. She made sure she tended to my every need regarding my first time using this storage spot. If anyone goes here, I highly recommend speaking to Destiny. You will not be disappointed. She is definitely a great representation of this company.
Made a reservation and Lynise followed up promptly. When I walked in the office, she has Covid precautions which made me feel a little safer with the whole social distancing thing. I fell in love with the sunflowers and plants outside and in the office. It adds beauty to atmosphere. I have to say, she has great customer service and such a helpful respectful attitude considering the area it’s located in. All of my concerns were addressed in detail. The store hours are convenient for me as well. Even when I need a few extra minutes during closing, she always accommodates me.
1. The schedule says open until 6:00 p.m. but at 5:30 p.m. customers are LITERALLY kicked out. When can a working man that works 9-5 go to the storage? Even the other storage business in the neighborhood (Life storage) has better hours THEY HAVE ACCESS UNTIL 10:00 p.m.2. Your rates are borderline theft. In Manhattan I could have gotten the same space for less than half the rate I was paying AND STILL HAVE MORE ACCESS TIME. Some are even 24 hrs. Manhattan understands that people work different schedules.3. Unfriendly/rude staff when I started. Lately staff has gotten better.4. Some employees dont wear face mask. Others wear face mask improperly. The gentleman that was in the office when I went to terminate my service was NOT wearing a face mask until he saw me look at him weird. However, his female coworker was wearing her face mask properly.
I was in and out. I received a quick yet accurate estimate and had a space reserved in no time. I called ahead of time and my timing was what made it possible for me in my case. The customer service was very resourceful and respectful.UPDATE: I came back to my space for it to have been rampaged by rodents. They chewed through everything in one corner of the unit. I had super sealed my almond flour so there was no way for them to have found it easily. There were pooplets and flour on all the items in that area. They even chewed through my yoga mat. It seems they were just blindly hunting until they miraculously hit a jackpot. If the units had been encased with metal on all sides, there wouldnt have been an issue. Plus there was moisture in the area which caused some of my boxes to mold. I organized and cleaned my items yesterday and left today. I moved to Brooklyn anyway, so this just gave me a push to relocate my things faster I guess.
CubeSmart Self-Storage in Jamaica, New York, is simply the best choice any client could choose. The management staff supernaturally-superb! I highly recommend that you all go here when you need a temporary sanctuary for your most-valuable household goods that do not fit neatly into your New York State of Mind living space.
The location is clean and Derwins customer service is top notch. My complaint is that the hours arent realistic for working people. To stop giving access to the units on weekdays at 5:30pm, Saturdays at 4:30pm, and Sundays at 3:30pm!!! Had I known this before I signed the lease, I would not have chosen this location and would have gone somewhere else. I had to ask a friend to hold my things during the week until I was able to get to the location on a Saturday and this was really an inconvenience, somewhat defeating the purpose of securing the unit.
They do a great job here. Everyone is nice, friendly and willing to help. The facility is very clean. Employees, especially Matthew go out of their way to help. Ive been using this place for a year and a half and i am consistently happy. Matthew is great, the staff is great.
A positive experience renting my cube. The place was clean and Lynise was extremely helpful and informative. Her knowledge of the different rental options helped me save a few dollars on my rental while helping me select the cube size best suited for my needs which I appreciated. 4 of 5 stars because Cube Smart should offer more access hours to clients.
Bring your own cart to take items up to your unit because you can hardly find any. They raise your rent without notice or explanation. However, they do keep it clean. 5/15/21 UPDATE So now I go to pay my storage online (as I normally do), click to pay now, which takes you to another page, and theres a message that basically tells me I dont owe anything. My due date is the 17th and it wont allow me to pay early. This is a first! So you DONT want my 🤑? I say let me try the app. Download and go to log in with the very same email and pwd I use online and its telling me its incorrect! Uninstall and reinstall. Same thing. But Im sure theyll be quick to add a late fee! If Im a day late! I will be looking for another place. Bad enough they charge you a convenience fee for paying online so they are already getting extra from me every month. But wheres the convenience if I cant pay early???
Excellent experience. I was very pleased with the service and the cleanliness. I rented 2 bins for 11 months. I feared the day I had to unpack. But much to my surprise there were no critters - dead or alive - not even any tell tail signs that anything had even been there. A special thanks to Ms. Lynise Eason who was very professional and very attentive to my needs. Thanks to the staff as well.All together you made this a pleasant experience.
As an entrepreneur storage is a key element to the business and finding a trusting, hospitable location is vital to me because I am in and out of the units weekly. I have seen the highs and lows of different managers at this property and right now they are definitely at a HIGH!!!! Keep up the GREAT work...I truly see the difference in the maintenance of the building....adding Lynisse to the management team is a gem :)
I recently had the pleasure of being serviced by Lynise & Bibi at this location and I must say it was very refreashing to work with knowledgable and kind staff. I had a lot of questions and these ladies were wonderful. They took the time and didnt make me feel rushed for I tend to be very indecisive and like to be very happy with my decisions. I would definetly recommand this location to my friends.
The service is good, everyone in there was knowledgeable and friendly. I decided to store some items here because i saw on line they had a 10% off for 6 months special (in retrospect 10% isnt much😒 but every little savings counts). This place isnt a 24 hr place, you cant go to storage at 12am because you forgot something-you can only go during working hours. And theres a $25 administration fee that they dont tell you about when you call to inquire...its a one time initial charge tho. Otherwise, Im happy.
Very satisfied with the experience. My Uncle opened up a unit on Sunday between 2:30pm and 3pm. I wasn’t able to arrive until about 3:20. Lynise was very generous and gave us a lil extra time to put my things into unit. The units are also clean and spacious. Thanks a lot Lynise
The staff at Cube Smart located at 122-20 Merrick Blvd, Jamaica, NY 11434 were accommodating and helpful. The prices were also reasonable which is why I chose them instead of Life Storage.The only improvement I hope they consider to make in the future is their access hours to the storage as I feel they close too early.
My experience with Cube Smart at the location on Merrick Blvd is excellent. They go above and beyond to extend a helping hand especially the many encounters that I have had with Aliche. He is very courteous. He goes out his way to make sure that I am happy with the service and assist and matters that may not be in the job description. Overall I am satisfied with the service from Aliche and the companys staff.
****UpdateSo I open my mail today and received a letter from collections stating I owe almost $700.. I paid my bill every month for a little over 2yrs adding to over $5000. I never received any mail or phone call email or otherwise from cube smart. Over $3000 worth of my property was auctioned and I did not have a bill when I decided to let my things go and spoke to and was hung up on by the rude so called manager.CubeSmart is s joke. This is also after this review I received this mail.Terrible customer service. Rent increased dramatically. From free to $80 to $250 a month in two years. Dont put anything in here you want. One day late they lock you out break your lock and take pictures of your belongings and threaten you in $100 fees. Its cheaper to let them auction your stuff than to pay them. They charge $100 fees and price gouge and try intimidating tactics. Long story short I was paying almost $600 every other month not worth it. When I could no longer afford it and seen how unworth it it was to store property I had spent almost $4500 in 2 years. Then the rude manager tells me its going to hurt me. No raping my pockets hurt. Then I go online and see its auctioning for $10.00 .. my once good stuff furniture and all. My advice downsize if you have to and pass this place by. Let go.
The manager Mr. Aliche Okafor is a delightful, respectful, and thorough manager. He described everything to me in detail, answered any questions i had, and was a joy to do business with. If you need storage go here and request him! His general manager Jennifer was fun, detailed, and a pure delight as well! Ask for her as well. Im glad i picked here for my storage.
A huge tragedy recently happened to me. I needed a storage unit quick and that was affordable. I walked into storage location after another, till I came across cubesmart. Upon entering, I guess it was apparent that something major was wrong with me. Aliche, was super understanding and sympathetic. He listened to all of my concerns, and ensure I didnt leave the building with no unanswered questions. Thank to him, I was able to get an affordable unit and able to sleep peacefully that night.
Horrible customer service experience with Lynise Eason (employee....manager) I went to this location on Sunday May 8th, 2018 in an attempt to do so and there was one individual at the counter servicing a customer. I stood behind that customer. About 20 minutes later the Cube Smart employee, whom I later learned was Lynise Eason, advised me that she would be another 10 minutes and that I could have a seat if I chose to do so. Her tone of voice was a bit harsh but at that time I did not think much of it. I took a seat and waited another 15 minutes or so. During that time another person came in and stood in line. She waited a while and left. Not long after, Ms. Eason completed her transaction with the customer ahead of me and I went up to the counter. Ms. Eason’s first question to me was “where is the other lady that came in”. My response “I am not sure but, I believe she will be ok I am next in line”. Ms. Eason immediately got very nasty with me, raising her voice to a level not fit for indoors and definitely not appropriate for an employee to address a paying customer. She stated the following “you don’t have to be nasty I was asking for a reason”. I let Ms. Eason know that it was not my intention to be nasty but rather, I had been waiting a long while to be serviced so, the location of the customer that was after me was not my concern. Ms. Eason proceeded to speak to me in a disrespectful tone (again) screaming letting me know that she did not have time for my attitude. I then took a moment to say “ok stop, let’s start over. I am not trying to me nasty. I just want to pay for my unit and go”. Ms. Eason continued to scream at me telling me not to tell her to stop. I let Ms. Eason know that I didn’t appreciate being yelled at. All the while I never raised my voice nor did I speak to Ms. Eason in a disrespectful manner or use derogatory language.Ms. Eason then advised me that she would not be helping me and that I would have to wait for one of her colleagues to come in. I asked her was she refusing me service and she replied in the affirmative. I was forced to wait for her colleague to come into the office. Matt Rosado came in and clocked into work a short while after. I had a very pleasant experience with this employee. He was respectful, apologetic for my wait time and he explained that Ms. Eason is in the office on Sundays for an hour alone.I can understand that Ms. Eason may have been overwhelmed that morning. However, that is no excuse for her poor customer service and disrespectful attitude towards me. She should never raise her voice to any customer especially customers like myself who don’t raise their voice towards her.I won’t be keeping my business here and I wouldn’t advise others to do so either.
I was moving & needed some packing supplies & had no clue whre to buy it from until someone told me to come into this store. after a super rough morning, i walk in with my crazy toddler & had a quick wait. the person before me was very rude & to my surprise, the guy Ali remained calm & helped the person eventually leaving that person to have no choice but to apologize to him for their childish tantrum. once he got to me, i made a comment about him handling her well & how he must be having a rough day & his words were, your day is what you make of it! that turned my mood around bc i already felt like my day was spiraling. as i told him what i needed, he helped me ith everything to prepare me for this move. THANK GOD bc i was completely lost. he even helped entertain my child as i fumbled through my purse looking for my wallet which i had thought i lost. needless to say, i left feeling relieved & accomplished bc of his help & his words!
Hahaha you cant look at your stuff after 4/5pm lmao what idiot thought (and I use the word loosely) of that?Im moving my stuff to the lifestorage or whatever place that just opened up when I finish with work stuff. Seriously, this place has wack visiting hours. Avoid going here at all costs. That and I remember them giving us a busted up lock. I might be petty to mention that, but whatever.
