Storage is good and affordable. Service should be better.
I had a good impression of the place upon signing up, seemed clean and good service, large parking lot, but that dwindled quick. My move in day, the garage access was broken (I chose this location primarily because of the indoor garage access also making it easier to reach my unit which is like a rat maze) . my unit is so far back and hidden and the lighting on move in day did not work, so I am walking in complete darkness by myself, feeling very unsafe. The manager there (hispanic young guy) was very nonchalant about it when I called asking for help down there. Also very nonchalant about the garage access being broken over the course of multiple days and would not give me any sort of information about when/if it was going to be fixed. Lastly, on my move in day I got there right on time to when they are suppose to open, and waited at least 20min in my car because they did not open on time. Needless to say, I would not recommend this place, and train that manager on friendly and proactive customer service.
I was a long time member of extra space storage but got tired of all the fees. Decided to get a unit at my local CubeSmart and the difference is night and day. Luis left my unit super clean prior to moving my things. I needed the automatic sliding doors to stay open and Benny didnt hesitate to accommodate me. I also constantly see Omar cleaning the floors/restroom and leaving them spotless. A few days later i lost my keys and they didnt even charge me to cut the locks. Other storage charge for this, so it was nice. The entire team is great.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank Fatima, Felipe and Abraham for their outstanding customer service. From the moment that I entered the office all of them were so attentive and helpful. On top of that they expressed condolences to the loss of my mother and helped me pick the right size unit to store her belongings. I will wholeheartedly recommend this location.
Yesterday I went to the Bartow location to pay my storage bill. The bill is getting exhausting. Without hesitation, after mentioning it, Julie Flores was able to make me feel like a valued customer. This will be the beginning of my third year at this facility. I haven’t had any problems while storing, the facility is clean and well lit. Everyone is usually pleasant but Julie went the extra mile. We had a short most pleasant conversation while she was performing her duties. Thank you Julie you “WOW”ed me!!!!!
The manager displayed superior customer service. She immediately explained the current promotions and showed me several available units to choose from. The environment is very clean and appealing. Consequently, I immediately signed a rental agreement. This storage company is top shelf.
The staff is so professional, polite and helpful.I chose this location because the person in charge who picked up the phone was extremely kind and clearly knew what he was talking about. Ive been with them for about a year and Im so happy I picked them.The place is clean, climate controlled, secure, well lit and maintained.The staff is super friendly. Jason is a gem. Kind and respectful. Always helpful always available.Brionnie is also very kind, discreet and as helpful, courteous and professional. I love the place.
This team is amaZing. Fatima is really nice and friendly. The senior manager Julie was so kind when helping me with the process. Their customer service is amazing. And Abraham is such a nice gentleman! I love coming here thank you all!
The staff was knowledgeable and professional. They took the time to explain what the best options would be. The person I spoke with was Jessica Torres. She was professional and courteous.
Brian Quintana was very professional and answered all my questions. He insisted I ask anything no matter what.He was also helpful in showing me the products i can use to protect my items . I ended up renting a 10× 10 unit. Am so glad for his help.
Building is located on a sewage line and it constantly smelled horrid. Didnt want my stored items keeping that smell.
My family and I was initially concerned and not happy with the customer service provided from the Bartow Avenue location due to contacting the store manager to inform that the third party movers (Super Move) were delayed in their pick up and might be getting to CubeSmart after the agreed upon time of 6:30, to no fault of ours, the store manager was not willing to be flexible which resulted in having to contact the owner. After this, when we showed up at the facility, at 7:30pm, the gentleman who greeted us was helpful.
So my car was vandalized while parked right in front of the entrance at this location and staff/management refused to show me footage of this due to their policy, police had to arrive first. After 5 hours waiting in the cold for the police that never arrived, I pleaded again to see the footage since I walked in as one of the employees who viewed the footage yelled omg they did that on purpose. With the EXCEPTION of one employee, I believe his name is Brian, this was all handled inappropriately and without regard. The gentlemen Brian (he sits at the front desk) was courteous to come outside to make sure I was ok and showed empathy with the crime that took place. I am now traumatized with this as I will never know the events that took place within the 13 minutes I was away from my car and do plan on ending this lease to take my business elsewhere. Many thanks to the ONLY employee Brian who was most courteous and attentive.
Felipe, the manager of the Bartow Ave , Cube Smart was very helpful, friendly and professional in opening my storage account . I received a fantastic rate for the small, overhead storage compartment. The facility looked clean and well kept. It was an easy and quick transaction, and positive experience for me. Thumbs up and recommended. 👍🏻
They are very helpful.If you need assistance with anything regarding payment, transferring from unit to unit they are very helpful.And they are very patient with the customers. And if you have paid already and want to downgrade, they will transfer the credit over to the new unit.Thanks cube smart.And thanks to all the staffs at the Bartow Ave location.Thanks Abraham Padin for helping me.
Four stars because I think all storage facilities are over priced in the Bronx! The staff 5 stars! They were extremely helpful! I dont remember the names of the three staff members that helped but they where very professional and helpful!

Convenient location. Clean environment. The staff was very friendly, courteous and professional, particularly Manager Ms.Jennifer Asencio. She was extremely patient and helpful in explaining services and laying out all my options based on my storage needs. Easy to nagvigate the payment process on line....Clean space...courteous staff at the Bartow Ave location in the Bronx...always helpfulGlad there are no garbage cans on the premises....people are disrespectful and sloppy and leave garbage behind.
The staff here is awesome! The General Manager Julia is very sweet and always professional. Melissa and The other tall gentleman I think his name is Jason (forgive me if Im wrong) are also very professional always great customer service. I see them work well even when its hectic and they have to deal with obnoxious people. I wouldnt rent or trust my things any where else but here. This is my third summer renting here. I hear people complaining about the smell but when they go shopping at the mall I bet they dont say anything about it there! its not their problem co op city was built on swamp land and I must say the location is always clean and well lit. I love this place the staff gets rotated quite often but the General Manager has been there for a while and everyone she works with are so nice! Ask for Julia or Melissa and you wont be disappointed.
Outstanding Customer ServiceOnce i walked in the office they greeted me with a smile and didnt had to wait in line. I needed to store a few things from my old apt and they quickly took care of me with a nice storage space on the first floor. The manager her self walked me around to all available storage units & within minutes all the paper work was done and i was ready to unload my Uhaul truck. Extra Space Storage should learn a thing or two from these guys. Great job 👍
This was my first time using self storage, I was a little nervous about leaving my stuff somewhere other than my house. The place is clean ,the staff was super helpful, & polite. I would recommend this location, also the lower level is gigantic, basically the size of the parking lot located right above it. I feel theyre reasonably priced , Im a happy customer
I’m extremely happy with the service I receive at the Cubesmart on Bartow Avenue. The staff there is AWESOME (Felipe,Omar,Francis,Benny).They always make my visit to my storage a very enjoyable experience,I’m always greeted with a warm smile and kind words. I feel like extended family. I don’t get to see her that often, but the Senior Manager of the store Julie is AMAZING!! I can see why her staff is such a great group, she is a very nice person. She’s attentive, and give the customer the utmost respect. I say this from a personal interaction I had with her.I won’t lie, I came into Cubesmart one day intent on raising hell over charges for a late fee, and Julie happened to be there. I was told to speak with her regarding my issue. She greeted me with a smile and asked how she could assist me. I immediately started barking & screaming that I was gonna “Move Out” because I thought I was being “Ripped Off”. She didn’t say one word, she let me finish venting, then politely ask me what was my storage unit number. She then went to the computer and looked up my information. She came back to me and explained why my rate was the way it was. She then proceeded to “upsale” me on a unit that was just a few dollars more than what I was paying, but twice the size. I was truly impressed by her. Here I am walking in ready to cut ties, then end up staying and with a bigger unit. Hats off to Julie and her team @ 1880 Bartow Avenue. Love you guys!!!
The staff at Bartow avenue is awesome. I been storing here since 2002 and Im glad I never left. The facility is super clean the customer service by all the reps is amazing. The GM Julie, Felipe, omar, melissa, benny hes been there forever and the new guy and gals always end up being just as great. They keep my things safe and I always appreciate coming in to pay my bill or go to my storage.these people are great dont go anywhere else.
This place is a scam! They tell u one price and few months later they charge you something different saying the fees have increased. Plus the people who work there are so rude and unfriendly..Most important THERE IS NO SECURITY CAMERAS WATCHING YOUR BELONGINGS. OH AND WHEN YOU ASK THEY WILL TELL YOU THAT THEY CHARGE INSURANCE IN YOUR MONTHLY FEES.... WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION I MIGHT ADD!!!
Although the pricing Is not ideal for the location. The customer service I have received makes the buck worth it. Fatima was amazing from the phone to in person. When she walks you through everything it does not feel like she selling something to you , you feel like ok “I NEED THIS.” Thank you Fatima for your help and that smile!
As far as the customer service; Superb. Why is it a 4 star rating then? Well, they don’t explain all the details when you reserve online. The price they offer is the unit alone. Thankfully I was prepared having everything else they required. But just a heads up, you’ll need: renters insurance (which the storage offers if you don’t already have it for your home), $19.99 for a lock (Also something you can get from Amazon for much less) and $25 for a one time admin fee. Other than that, the security was great, service great and unit spacious. Price couldn’t be beat.
They left out the other fees from what they show online. Just know youll pay atleast $30-40, on extra mandatory fees. Appreciated them contacting me to explain in detail exactly how the process works though. Their managers and customer service is really good. I still dont like the idea of the up and down changes in prices while you use their storage. Unless you pay for the entire year, your monthly charges may change.
Their representative Tanya at the Bronx location at Tillotson Ave is an exceptional sales rep/ manager. She was a great help and very friendly and professional.I would highly recommend her.

Clean and well lit. Professional and informative staff. I didnt give 5 stars because I have an upper unit and always have to look to find one of two (that I have so far counted) ladders and manuver it to my unit.
I arrived (with the little that I owned) just having been involved in an unexpected bad situation. I was assisted by Ms. Jennifer Asencio. She was very professional yet considerate and pleasant. She was quick and thorough in getting me the right locker and items. She was patient and kind, and as I left I felt considerably more comfortable with my situation thanks to her.
I love my experience here this is the second i come back to rent here felipe morales was awesome during the rental he explainedeverything in details. I feel like this is family. Refused to allow the female customer access to the bathroom even though she is a customer. Man intervened when 2 females where just talking. And was very distepectful

Staff is polite and Facility is clean and well lit. Our unit had interior lighting.Please note that the basement level is not climate controlled . The other levels are.There is a front and rear entrance. The rear has three loading docks for trucks.The facility is secure as entry is by a specific code entered in a keypad.Hand trucks can be borrowed by turning in ones drivers license as security.
Every time I do business with the crew at 1880 Bartow, its always a great experience. I rent many storage units all over the city and I always have a positive experience when I go there. Julie is the GM there. She is always a pleasure to work with.
Loved the experience. I have an emergency and need to move. I’m also not very well health wise. I was worried about my possessions and found this company online. When I arrived it was such an amazing experience I walked away only worrying about resolving my health issues and where I will move to, my possessions are safe and the customer service is amazing.
I appreciated their curtesy, i am new to the experience. The truck lending deal is only for people who have their own car insurance and its only for a one time use of 4 hours. This was the reason i was attacked to the cube smart but i dont qualifie because i dont have car insurance .
I walked right in and Fatima welcome me with a smile. She was very professional and got me into the perfect storage unit. Shes always my go to when I need to pay my bill.
OMG it was my first time getting a storage since i was in the process of moving and Abraham got me all set up with my account and unit. He also worked with my budget to get me the best deal possible. OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE!!!
This place is real clean and the space is good for all of the stuff you need to store. One of the Managers Abraham was very helpful through much uncertainty. If you are going to this Storage in this location then Id recommend you see him!

They are the worst place to read from. The smell there is atrocious and the building itself in some areas is caving . The manager woman has very nasty attitude they lie to your face about security and have broken door downstairs that anybody just walk into. The place smells like throw up and sulfur mix. Hour never rent in there again only if you are desperate and theres no other space available anywhere else then I guess this would be the place.
DONT USE THIS COMPANY at first everything was good i payed on time had access to the unit and one day I come in to take everything out my computer chair was missing they told me to make a claim thats it. Thats how you treat your paying customers you steal their stuff and say bye BEWARE DONT USE THIS LOOK FOR ANOTHER STORAGE PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR STUFF STOLEN.

Our experience has been terrible. Someone (I believe that someone works there) changed the lock on our unit and stole our flat screen TV. When we brought it to there attention they expressed no sympathy or help but instead were very rude.

Upon numerous back and forth, it was clarified to me that Leticia at this store was the one making it very impossible for me to close out my storage. She was insanely rude, unhelpful; and condescending. I was formerly informed that so long as the unit is kept open (where the lock is removed), that they can close it on my behalf. This woman refuses to acknowledge that and so condescendingly reminded me to “LEARN HOW TO READ YOUR LEASE”. I am doing everything I can to ensure the storage is closed out and that I don’t incur further charges BUT THIS PERSON DECIDES TO BE COMPLETELY UNHELPFUL AND RUDE. For a company that markets itself for its exceptional customer service, more needs to be done to ensure you refrain from future hiring of incompetent workers incapable of customer service

I dont understand whats the point of having multiple workers if no one is available to assist customers. There arent enough ladders depending on the timeframe of visiting your storage unit nor is there anyone to help move it if necessary but youre rushed out when its time to close without any consideration whatsoever.
Melissa did a great job explaining what cubesmart was all about,explain how we were making the right decision. This storage is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend them to any who is looking for a storage area.

It was always clean and safe
A while back they overcharged me and it took 4 months to get the refund but as soon as youre late theyre quick to call you and charge late fees... Even when they owned me they still charged me late fee, took 4 whole months to get a refund and they didnt pay me any late fee, aside from that their electronic payment is very limited so I literally have to go there each month to pay..... This is 2018 these kind of issues would never exist...

Great experience. For over a year we had a unit at this site. The employees are all knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Only complaint is that there isnt a dumpster for use.
More professionally run than extra space storage across the street. Posted hours are the true hours. The rates are reasonable and increases are done yearly after the 6 month promotional price ends (extra space storage increases their rates every 9 months or so)

The rep that closed my account was rude and unfriendly. A paying customer should be treated better than with an attitude. In front of others as well. Horrible experience!!

But in the case of CubeSmart in the Bronx at 1880 Bartow Ave. I will make an exception, due to the fact that all the staffs there are very very respectable and polite! and I say this with emphasis. To me there is no need for any type of improvement, cause they all are professional when its coimng to perform their work as well as their duties. All I can say is keep up the good work!

2022-03-21Bartow Ave - Our storage was in the lower level and the smell was always horrible. Sometimes it smelled like rotten eggs and other times it smelled like human waste. There was always water on the floor that I couldnt avoid stepping in and then the smell was in my car. 🤢 Also, prices increased too frequently. I decided to move my stuff to another storage company where it didnt smell and the prices were cheaper. I gave the storage 2 stars since the employees were always helpful.

2022-04-09The young ladies at front desk are great, however their maintenance person BENNY is an arrogant rude disrespectful & overall a poor image for Cubesmart. His behavior does not represent customer satisfaction what so ever, and instead of helping customers who PAY for their rental storage, he feels going home is his # 1 priority. He told my movers & myself that he does not care, he completely disregard orders that were given to him by the on site manager, he used profanity at everyone involved, and it was pure disgust felt that I chose this particular location to store my belongings. This type of behavior is totally unacceptable, and he should be fired!

2022-05-04CubSmart has always been responsive to any questions! The Online payment system was great. If I need a storage unit in the furniture I would definitely go back to CubSmart!!! Access to CubSmart was excellent.

2021-12-29CubeSmart was very professional and caring and addressed all of my needs.They all were very patient with me.Omar, Miguel and Francis were very dependable and concerned about all of my needs.I am totally satisfied with my experience.Jennifer Rodriguez was just as pleasant as she could be. I am diabetic and needed water to take my medicine and she went to kitchen in storage unit and brought me a bottle of water to take my medicine.Over all, you have the best team of workers on board here at CubeSmart.I suggest you promote them or time for a raise.Lol. Please dont be angry about a raise because everytime I come here I feel right at home.Thank you OMAR, MIGUEL,FRANCIS AND JENNIFER

2021-10-25I had no problems with the staff. Extremely helpful and professional. They were patient with answering all the questions that I had. I realize that it is a storage facility but I found the scent on the basement level a little unpleasant. I still like the idea that everything is secure. Would use again if I had to.

2021-09-20I have now had my storage unit about a month. I have been fortunate enough to have MIGUEL assist me from the beginning. He is awesome! He explains everything to you in plain English relative to how to pay, insurance coverage, etc. He is always ready to help!The facility is always clean!

2022-06-18Smells like a giant toilet, but its cheap. Wrap everything, even if its a pin, In plastic. Then be sure to put it in a plastic container...
