Tom at Cubs Taxi was great to work with. He was picking up a colleague of mine at JFK from overseas. There were changes in schedule, and Tom was very easy to work with and flexible. Since my colleague had no US cell phone there was some some difficulty finding each other, but Tom eventually found him. He then dropped him off at the hotel and made sure that my colleague was checked in properly before leaving. Throughout the process he was very diligent about communicating, and it was a pleasure to work with him. I highly recommend this taxi service.
Tom from Cubs Taxi was exceptional! I needed a ride from Hudson to Ghent. I called him very last minute. But Tom was prompt, reliable and very friendly. He even picked me up at Ghent and gave me a ride back to Hudson the same day. He made the whole experience easy and stress-free, and I would highly recommend this car service to anyone!
Tom is an awesome and professional driver. He picked me up from Hudson Station and drove me 45 min to my hotel. We have passed a lot of steep roads, twisted highways around the mountains, but he has amazing skills going through them flatly and let me arrived at my destination safe and sound.Plus, he is also a good local guide who took me to groceries, stores in the towns, and showed me around the routes inside Catskill to get to different spots. As a city chick who don’t know how to drive, I cannot finish my journey with such good experience without him. The fee is reasonable, he has great patience to answer my questions, with reasonable fees. I will definitely recommend everyone coming from the city to Hudson/Catskill (or vice versa) to take Tom’s car service, if they ever need one!

I hired Tom to transport my mother from upstate NY to Newark airport. He was prompt and reliable and she felt very comfortable and safe during the trip. I appreciated that he was available when we needed his services and very responsive and helpful. I would definitely use his services again.
Tom picked me up a few minutes late, due to traffic, but he answered when I called to find out about the delay. In our communications by email and phone I found him to be reliable and prompt. He obviously cares about his business, and wanted to make sure I was comfortable and had what I needed during the drive to the airport. Since the Delta variant of Covid had begun to be a problem, I asked if he would mind wearing a mask. He did as I asked, and I was grateful. Maybe Im not entirely used to NY drivers, but I did think he drove a tad quickly. I didnt feel I was in danger, necessarily, but I have to admit I was a little uncomfortable. Nonetheless, he got me to the airport in plenty of time, and overall did a nice job.
Quick and helpful service. It’s really hard to get and Uber or Lyft in Hudson but Tom was professional and picked me up with no hassle. Recommend!

I had a great experience with Cubs taxi service. Tom picked me up at Omega Institute and drove me to White Plains airport. Omega Institute is out in the countryside and not in easy distance to pick up an Uber. I was very happy to have set up Tom’s service in advance and to have no worries about getting to the airport on time. Tom was friendly and a good conversationalist but also allowed me to be quiet when I needed since I was just coming out of a silent retreat. I recommend Tom and Cubs taxi service highly.
Tom was an absolute lifesaver today! We broke down near hunter mountain and he was with us within 30 minutes to drive us to Kingston (where our car was towed to). After an airline delay caused our flight to arrive at Newark in the middle of the night, a call to CUBS TAXI AND AIRPORT SERVICE was returned very promptly, and arrangements made quickly to get three very grateful travelers back upstate. Used Cubs Airport Service for the first time for a NYC airport drop off in May and return pickup in July. My driver, Tom, was courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and on time. The car was clean and comfortable. Good communication pre-pickup both coming and going which put me at my ease for my long trip. I would highly recommend and use this service again.

I used Cubs Taxi to pick me up and drop me off at JFK airport. Because of a problem at the airport Tom waited for a long time until I was able to make contact with him. I think that another car service would have left me but Tom was amazing and got me safely to Omega, Rhinebeck. He did his best to make sure I had a great trip and I cannot thank him enough. I highly recommend Cubs Taxi and Airport Service. Tom is easy to contact and communicates back right away if needed. He took my friends daughter from the Vasser campus in Poughkeepsie, NY to JFK Airport. He was very responsible and timely. He and I communicated via text and phone, as did he and the passenger - to be sure we knew precise pick up location and all details of the transport. Tom is very pleasant and accommodating. Cubs Taxi is a GREAT service--Ive used taxis in this area before, and Tom is by far the most accommodating and friendly driver of those Ive used. He is so good-hearted and respectful, which you can tell from the moment you meet him. I called him when I my plans to make it from Rhinebeck to the airport fell through just hours before my flight. He agreed to come help even though he had already planned his afternoon. Tom seemed extremely sincere. Usually I prefer to take Ubers for safety but upon meeting Tom I realize that theres a taxi service I can use where I will feel even safer. The car was comfy and spacious. The AC on the whole ride, which many cabs dont do. I asked him to turn off the radio upon getting in, and he agreed wholeheartedly and asked me about my weekend. I was late for my flight and he did everything he could to get me there on time while staying within the speed limit. He waited while I made a stop before running to the airport and he helped me with my bags. Not only did he help me with them, but he was adamant about it being ok for me to go search for a cart as long as he was guarding them. I went this way and that, and he just waited telling me not to worry. Overall I felt safe, of course, but also felt considerably more comforted than I would have in such a situation if I had had a different experience. Hes good at what he does:: driving and people. I needed a last minute ride to the Amtrak Service, Tom was super responsive and arrived right on schedule! His car was immaculate and he wore a mask for the duration of the drive. Planning a trip to the Catskills, will def use his services again :-)

Spent a weekend in the Hudson valley. Found Tom (of Cubs Taxi) online and gave him a ring. He was very responsive and went out of his way to coordinate a last minute, day-long local brewery tour for the 2 of us. We set it up so that he picked us up and dropped us off at our location of choice, and then he drove us around the region making a big brewery loop. We just had to give him a 10 minute heads up when we were ready to go to the next spot. Super easy and super convenient! A little bit of a splurge for just two of us but affordable!
Thomas provided a great service - picking me up at JFK Airport and depositing me at my front door in Rhinebeck, NY. a couple hours later. After a long day of travel he made my trip home from the airport effortless and comfortable.Thomas was great at communicating and let me rest easy knowing he was on top of times and knowledgeable about when he needed to pick me up with a minimum of wait.The vehicle he drove was immaculate and there were water bottles provided which I certainly needed to rehydrate after the flight. He made sure the temperature in the vehicle was comfortable and let me doze off as I was very tired.Thomas quoted me a reasonable rate with no hidden costs.I would highly recommend Cubs taxi for trips to an from the airport. I was stranded in Hudson, after I experienced car trouble.I needed to get back to Ulster County but getting out of work at 9:30pm, on a Sunday,lets just say, I didnt have many options. Until I called Cub Taxi. Tom made sure he was there when I needed him. Very courteous and pleasant all the long drive home. The charge was reasonable, $45 to go through three counties! Tom picked me up from my house and got me to LaGuardia with plenty of time before my flight. On my return trip he arrived at the airport earlier than promised. He provided a cold bottle of water each way, which was most refreshing after the humidity in NYC. The trips were so much nicer than if I had rented a car. The car was very comfortable and spotlessly clean.

Great transportation option! On time and clean car. The owner is incredibly personable and very responsive. I only needed transportation for a short trip to the train station (~30 minutes), but he does offer rides into the city as well. Will use again if I’m in the area!

My family was stranded in Tannersville when our car broke down. After the tow truck came and we were left to find a car service to get to Poughkeepsie, we thought we were out of options with almost every taxi company busy and lyft/uber cars not around.Tom came to pick us up knowing we were out of options, even when he was cutting it close on his other commitments. 2022-02-17I had a great experience with Cubs Taxi. Tom took me from Hudson Station to Windham. He was reliable, friendly, flexible and courteous. We confirmed the journey and he gave me his cell so I could contact him directly if needed. He was prompt with a clean car. He talked when I wanted to talk and was quiet when I wanted quiet. He put on a mask when he saw me wearing one, to match my comfort. He drove very well over the steep mountains and tight turns. And he played very good music!! Highly recommend!

2022-06-18We contacted this service at the very last minute when the car that was to be driven to JFK Airport developed a flat tire 5 hours before the flight was scheduled to depart for Europe. They were gracious enough to accommodate our urgent need for a ride from a suburb of Albany to JFK, and with professionalism, great care, attention, and complete competence. I am extremely happy with this service, and I hope to use this service in the future.

2022-03-15Tom was a lifesaver. I was on the train from New York to Hudson last Sunday trying to get a taxi from Hudson to Catskill after a very long journey and three weeks away from home. I called about 10 different taxis services, and the only one who replied and was willing to come and pick me up was Tom. Every other call went straight to voice mail, had discontinued numbers, or flat out said they didnt work on Sundays. Tom was on time, curteous, the car was clean, and it was a very pleasant ride.

2022-04-29Excellent service, on time, great communication, nice clean car, don’t hestitate if you are in Hudson.We are typical NYers and came in from NYC with no car, most taxis are a nightmare in Hudson, and it is hard to get around if you are leaving the center. Cubs taxi run by Tom, is the answer.We came celebrate my husbands birthday and hired Tom for a full day and half we had a number of locations some over an hour away to get to. It was a lot of driving, and we had a tight itinerary. It was the perfect choice from the beginning, on time, good driving, great conversation, nice car, knowledable about the area. It made our entire trip great and we were able to see a lot of the surrounding area that we wouldn’t have been able to.

2021-11-30My driver was Tom and let me tell you this man is a lifesaver. I was having the worst week and I had to scramble to find a ride from the train station. Travel makes me really anxious as it is so as you can imagine it was a disaster. I wanted to schedule a ride beforehand and when I messaged Tom he replied almost immediately and he was thorough and detailed in the scheduling process. He made a really bad day for me so much easier. He was there perfectly on time, he was nice, and I can’t explain to you how thankful I am for him. If I need a taxi again I will definitely be using this service!
