CVS in other cities:
Had a prescription transferred to CVS New City with 11 refills (1 year total) the pharmacist entered it with no refills :(Every time you call, you sit on hold forever (currently 30 minutes and counting) or until you give up. Called from a 2nd line same thing. I dont know if they are understaffed or just ignore the phones, but it is unacceptable. This is not the first time. They are not very friendly in person either...
CVS is very expensive we go convenient location and coupons - I spent so much money got coupons ,I was very sick not suppose to be out my coupons expired day before , new city store manager refused to take cause of store policy every store and pharmacy honor until 10 days if you sick and háve record of Drs order - who will buy goods on such a high price - bad experience
Absolutely the worst pharmacy experience ever. Stuck going here because one of my child’s prescriptions is $15 here but other pharmacies that are smaller mom and pop shops can’t offer it at that price. They couldn’t care less how they treat you and how long you have to wait. Prescriptions are never ready or are messed up and then you have to wait additional 30 mins for them to fix it with out any explanation what was wrong in the first place. They suck.
After reading the reviews and the experience my son had, now I understand why. My son purchased a stick of chap-stick and was charged 21.26. He tried to get this rectified, they told him he cant because he doesnt have a receipt. The self check-out machine did not give him a receipt. This is COMPLTE FOOLISHNESS!! Nice job taking a teen-agers money!!!!
Female pharmacist told customer she was not taking medication correctly and dosed out medicine and would not help customer accordingly. Pharmacist was extremely rude and condescending and is not my doctor she should not have dosed out my medication and told me I was taking it wrong SHE NEEDS AND should be fired immediately, horrible staff in the CVS.
I like this CVS because it is 24 hours, probably the only reason I gave it 2 stars. When you call to speak to someone, they keep you on hold for up to 25 min & then hang up on you. When they finally do pick up, I just got off the phone with them, they wont even let you talk & rush you off the phone. I understand they are very busy, but thats no reason or excuse for their customer service to be AWFUL. And its not just New City, Ive had this problem with Bardonia also. I cannot believe the way they treat some people there, if there was another 24 pharmacy I would switch in a heartbeat. I wish I got the womans name I just spoke with. And there have been times where I would have to call back 3 or 4 times, taking over an hour to get someone on the phone. They really need to train their pharmacists & employees what customer service is. Very disappointing.
This location in New City pharmacy has declined tremendously. Automated calls to tell you your prescription is ready for pickup only to stand on line for 30+ minutes to get to the counter and the person tells you that there isnt a prescription. Get a call the next day telling me my prescription is ready for pickup only to have it happen again. 3 days of this. Almost every guest waiting on line conversing on how bad this location is.
The pharmacy staff needs Customer Service training, new leadership and better management. Terribly understaffed and employees are clearly overwhelmed which causes them to be rude to customers (which is inappropriate). Never a smile and no courtesy, ever! Very disrespectful. Also, many medications and prescriptions cannot be filled due to low or no inventory. I have been dealing with their attitudes for years simply because I dont want to be hassled with having to change everything over to another pharmacy. However, it has reached the boiling point.... time to move on. I suggest you do the same, especially if youre experiencing the same poor behavior and service. Shame on you CVS.
I went there (CVS new city ) 3 times to pick my sons medicine, and all 2 incidents I have to deal with one pharmacy tech who was sending me back stating that he didn’t received our medication request. Today I went there and a lady by the counter told me that she had the medicine and I have to wait for 15 minutes, I came back after 30 minutes to pick my medication and this time the same guy which I have to deal on last occasions was on the counter , he had the same attitude and want me to go back. Told him to check with other technician first but he don’t want to and start arguing , I left the place again without getting the medication for my son- very bad attitude and no help.12/17/2021
This pharmacy dupes you by being open 24-7, but no one EVER answers the phone. Ever. Be prepared to drive there and wait on line to get anything done. They also never update their info on the CVS app, so you will see old scripts erroneously ready for refill etc. They are a disaster! Go down the street to CVS Bardonia on Rte 304, they are amazing!!!
The pharmacy tech, one in particular are so rude and disrespectful. Screaming across the pharmacy after initially told 20 minutes as my father curled up in pain its a 30 min wait or you can go elsewhereWine with 15 people one waiting 12 days . They were all no smile no empathy and inept. The pharmacist also told me to go to another pharmacy if I didnt like it.. pain.the
Terrible place, starting from the optical which I won’t even tell about my experience because luckily I got my money back but do not recommend to spend ur money in the optical. The pharmacy omg, I been calling for one week to speak to pharmacy to check if my prescription is in a d they never answer the phone. Today I was on hold for 35 min and couldn’t t continue to wait. U go to the pharmacy and there is a long line. Terrible, use Walgreens
The people employed at the pharmacy are horrible. Couldnt speak with anyone on the phone for 30min to update my insurance information. So I went there and was told my order would be ready in about 15min. I waited outside for 25min. Went back inside and was told they needed another 25min....DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. GO TO ANOTHER PHARMACY.
Sent an Rx for my mother, only pharmacy open 24 hours. City MD sent it before 8 PM. Drove there, said they don’t have it. Called City MD, re-sent it. Called TWICE, said they don’t have it. Called a THIRD time almost hour and a half later and NOW theyre saying they have it??? Definitely not coming back here unless I really need medication after Stop & Shop closes.
Please stir clear of this CVS location, doctor sent prescription at 6:30pm on friday 9/4/2020 went to see if it was ready since no one answers the phone at 8:30pm. Upon arrival i asked the cashier Heidi if my prescriptions were ready she said an about an hr I said wow really she quickly walks away and starts doing something else without saying anything else, As im waiting there for 30 mins she then tells me my prescriptions were ready and that she took her self out the line and made them her self with an attitude. Even her coworker looked at her as she was speaking to me because her attitude was uncalled for.
Unfriendly, unprofessional and assumed over worked. I just called four times in a row and was on hold for over 15 minutes each time only to have someone pick up the phone and hang up.They act like they are doing you a favor. Some people have no choice to use this cvs because of the late hours. As soon as another opens later, Im gone.
The worst pharmacy Ive been to. I get the same medication every month, and some how they manage to screw it up .wtf. constantly tell me my insurance not covering it then a couple days later they do??? This is once a month! The head pharmacist is a moron and cant even explain her self intelligently to why this happens. Just want me to go way nice attitude.
If there were a way to give less than 1 star I would. How many negative reviews will it take for cvs to do something about this store? This place is the epitome of incompetence! Every time I get prescriptions filled here it’s a catastrophe! Even simple vitamins! Cvs called me about 1.5 weeks ago to tell me they were going to order my prescription and that it would take a few days, I agreed and asked them to order. After hearing nothing since then, I called today and they told me they don’t even have the prescription! What insanity!
You could have a prescription called in first thing in the morning, and not go in to pick it up until late at night, and it still wont be ready. I guess thats why they never bother to call to let you know its ready. And Heaven forbid you should need to call them. They dont bother answering. Weve watched as the pharmacists all stood around chatting and laughing while 3 telephone lines were ringing off the hook. I dont know what happened to this place. They used to be the best around. Now I dont remember the last time I filled a prescription there and didnt have a problem with it. This is absolutely the WORST pharmacy. Go ANYWHERE but here.
My daughter has been waiting days for her crops to be filled. It is a common medication and they won’t tell her when it will be available. The New City CVS has the worst customer service but how does a pharmacy not have common medications. They are incompetent and arrogant and I advise all to stay away. Asked if the CVS in Bardonia 1.2 miles away could send New City CVS the meds, they said no because it’s a controlled substance. Give me a break they just were too lazy to do a store transfer.
Pharmacy... This pharmacy needs training. The reps need to know empathy so they can deal with people who are sick and have maybe just received bad news hence why they are coming to pick up meds. They need Communication training because I was told 5 different stories why my husband didnt get his meds. No one ever called to say what happened I had to go to CVS 4 Times and nothing was resolved. The mistakes are unreal that they make. I WILL NOT use this pharmacy any longer and I have been with them for 20 years. I will not have to pay for this service and have someone mistreat me. I know I am not the only one with these complaints maybe they should put a survey in place to rectify the issues. They think because they are so busy they can treat you any way SORRY NOT ME. Good Luck
Jan 2 2020, my daughter just waited over 5 1/2 hours to be told the medicine she needed was out of stock. It started at 630pm when she brought in the prescription and was told it would be ready by 1030. She went back and the clerk who took the prescription put her info in the system but NOT the medicine. Luckily my daughter had the name in her phone. She ran out and got some dinner only to finally be told at 12 midnight they were out of stock. How does this place even stay in business!?!?!
Do not go here for your Covid vaccine!!!! I cannot stress how disrespectful the pharmacy staff is including a young girl who claims she is the manager. She needs to learn how to behave in a workplace. It seems that being overworked is an excuse for ignorance. I would fire them on the spot.Keep away if at all possible!!!!
I had to go to CVS as I found out they have. SmileDirect outlet inside. I had an issue and made my appointment for a re-evaluation using 3D imaging. Thanks to technicians Tracy and Natasha the above process was as smooth and professional as possible. I would encourage anyone who is interested in improving their smile go directly to CVS, New City. You will be taken care of in 30 minutes or less for assessments etc. I will visit again if I have further issues or to just stop by and say hello. A positive experience.
Only reason it gets 2 stars is being 24 hours. 4 hours after my prescription was sent to them, it still wasnt ready. They said it would be another twenty minutes, because they were helping customers. Why is it that they never have prescriptions ready? Do they not bother starting until you get there?
I am currently in my 3rd trimester and requested that a prescription be transferred to a CVS closer to me. The pharmacist or assistant with great attitude informed me to call the pharmacy and they can have it transferred over and nearly hung up before I could tell him I already called and they could not find my profile. He then said oooookkkkkaay asked me for my name and date of birth as if it was an inconvenience to correct the issue that they seemed to have caused. Then abruptly said its been taken care of call your local CVS and hung up. Last time I checked pharmacists are supposed to be friendly and helpful you may want to revisit sensitivity training for these employees.
I got completely disrespected by SOME of the people that work at the pharmacy. This asian guy in a dark blue navy uniform(sorry I dont know his name) was extremely rude and was not willing to help me at all. All I asked him to do was print out a receipt or some form of proof for medication I picked up a month before for my insurance. He gave me such a hard time. He took me around a whole circle of going back and forth with CVS & my insurance. I can tell once I approached him he didnt want to help me. He had an attitude from the start. Everyone he directed me too ended up telling me to go to back to CVS pharmacy to get the info which I already knew. I had to waste my gas and make a double trip because this guy didnt want to serve me. It was so bad that another lady working in pharmacy had to force him to do it. He asked me a bunch of questions that was irrelevant an finally printed it. Also before he printed it he made my mother and I sit down like children & said he is calling the manager because he doesnt understand what Im saying At the end of the day all he had to do was type my name in the system and print out my recent purchase of the medication which took less than 1 minute after the lady told him to do it. How could you hire someone so disrespectful and rude? Its a clean store but some of the workers in pharmacy are TERRIBLE. Such attitudes they have for no reason.
I stopped coming to this CVS when my son was 3 and was so sick that the dr called in the prescription and spoke directly to the head pharmacist to ask they fill the prescription ASAP and that took them almost 8 hours. They did the same thing again today (15 years later)Do not come here for anything.
I am really looking forward to the day when these New City CVS pharmacists are replaced with robots. At least a robot can be trained to provide good service and show a little bit of compassion for severely ill patients who only want to get their medication on time. Unfortunately humans cant be retrained to be decent very easily. Horrible experience and unfortunately my insurance forces us to use CVS.
Amazing experience, every time!!!Heidi is so wonderful. She may not be so welcoming with a smile but all I said to her was hello. And she did her job plus more. She went out of her way to help me several times. I was in a bit of physical pain and annoyed at my insurance but she made it all super easy for me and really made my day. I would also like to thank the pharmacist for their quick work and the gentleman at the register. He was also very helpful.Thank You so Much Heidi!!! You have no idea how much I appreciated your help.
Before going to pick up my perscription here I saw all of the negative reviews and was nervous I would have to wait for hours. Luckily they are open 24 hours so i went in later in the evening, (around 11pm) there was no line, it didnt take long and was overall a plesant experience. Only speaking from my own trip here, if you go later in the night and their is no line everything should run pretty smoothly.
Pharmacy staff is very nice and the hours are convenient, but they gave me one wrong prescription, refilled one incorrectly (7 days late) so I had to come back twice in one week for two prescriptions that should have been refilled at the same time, and when I spoke to the pharmacist on duty about it he told me hed pull the profile so he could find out what happened, and then despite the fact that he was pulling a filled prescription (1 of 2 that SHOULD have been there) I was having filled, then told me Id have to awhile because someone came in behind me. I regret leaving ShopRite Pharmacy in Garnerville. They always filled my prescriptions correctly and knew me when I came in. They also always rectified any issues while I was standing in front of them.
Do not understand the negative reviews. Live in town and frequent this location. All staff have always been courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Very helpful with photo issues as well. Staff rotates but new members (Annette, April) very pleasant. Manager Lena extremely polite and engaging. Always running around working hard too. Perhaps the customers need to b more pleasant as well !
I have to say this CVS is gold. In the darkest of hours when you’re sick or necessity calls it is open 24 hours. It’s a huge asset to the county and I’m grateful for this facility. Not only did they have everything that I needed but they were more than willing to help me at any hour. Thank you thank you 😊
When would you like your prescription to be ready? I say as soon as possible, they say it WILL BE READY IN A HOUR. I come back one hour and ten mins later, not ready. Why do you say an hour and you are never on time? I have a small prescription to fill and its not that hard to count. This place does this all the time
Dont take passport photo at CVS if you want the scariest photo of yourself.Lighting above your head, which is no-no, camera without a flash. Before taking a photo there make a home test, put a flush light above your head in semi dark room, look in mirror, scary enough? I paid, feel sorry for that, rushed to FedEx on Rt 59 made new photo, what a difference. On top of it, girl at CVS made me believe that I am complaining for no reason, that is real me. Thanks.
So i came to this CVS looking for a product to unclog my toilet (Three days of nothing but steak and protein shakes will turn you into a boulder excreting golem apparently). One of the managers who worked there that i will not name, but who had the same body fat percentage as a walrus, suggested a product to me that she specifically said worked on toilets. Long story short, it didnt. I went back and attempted to exchange it for another product a few hours later, and was told that this was not possible. Now, you will remember that she had suggested this product to me earlier and assured me that it would work on toilets. After refusing my exchange, she then proceeded to further insult me by saying that perhaps i should eat healthier. I suggested she cease eating anything at all, as she had enough extra blubber on her thighs alone to feed a large family of Eskimos for several years at least. We went back and forth like this for a bit, me attacking with charming and witty insults, her attempting to perform the mating call of the humpback whale, until i got sick of listening to what i can only describe as a rhinoceros in orgasm and left the store. The only reason i gave One star is because 0 is not an option.
Oh my god ....... my daughter went to pick up a prescription. She ended up getting two. Both had her name on them. However one was from another Doctor she does not go to but her sister does. They gave her medication that was NOT prescribed for her and from a Doctor she has never gone to. This is bad!!!

2022-03-04I didnt know a pharmacy could be SO bad. My husband and I both had several experiences here that were frustrating, rude, disappointing or just lazy. We called to ask about their ups drop off services and were told we could absolutely bring our boxes in, only to then be sent away because the box was too large. Why not specify that theres a size limit on the phone? I tried to ask a store clerk where an item was and they told me to ask someone else. A prescription hadnt been refilled so I called to ask why not and was told they forgot to enter it in the system and then was told to wait while 3 employees tried to fix a machine that had nothing to do with my problem. They literally put the receiver on the counter, not even on hold, so I listened to them just standing around talking about not knowing how to fix it. Its really just mind-boggling that a CVS could be this bad. I now go to New City Pharmacy or Walgreens instead. I will not be returning here.

2022-06-19Worst pharmacy ever. They tell you over the phone that your prescription will be ready in 15 minutes, they’re filling it now, and then I go in a couple hours later and they don’t have anything ready for me. Then the pharmacist ARGUES with you about why you need your medication. Went to go get a COVID booster vaccine at this location as well, they had me wait for 20 minutes and every time I checked in about how long it was going to take, they had forgotten I was there. When I finally went back for my vaccine the technician was rude, unprepared, and sloppy. I had to ask him to change his gloves because I felt so uncomfortable with his sanitary practice. I will never be going here again and neither should you.

2022-02-10Received an automated text that my prescription was ready for pick up. That evening I went to CVS waited on line for 8 minutes. Clerk was unable to find my prescription waited another 8 minutes left without it. Called next morning takes over5 minutes to get thru the prompts. And another 7 minutes to get to speak with a pharmacist. I miss the mom and pop pharmacies

2022-03-31Honestly the worse pharmacy. Was given wrong dosage medication. When I opened bag at home I noticed and called them immediately was told after spending over $250.00 that I could not return meds. Had to have new prescription filled with proper dosage which cost me another 156.49. The Asian gentleman who works the front has no patience at all he need to get a job working from home. After being a loyal customer for 15 years I am transferring our families prescription to another pharmacy

2022-02-11Got the booster shot. the nurse did not even bother to check where she stuck the needle. she put it too high up in my arm, damaged my shoulder severely and now, over a month later, I am still in intense pain, have lost most of my strength in my left arm, and need to go to physical therapy 3 times a week to try and regain function of my shoulder. I may never recover all because this nurse stuck the needle in the wrong spot because she was careless. absolute malpractice

2022-06-29Just awful. 10pm, 8 people on line, 3 people working behind then counter and 6 pharmacy calls on hold and the speaker phone reminding everyone every 30 seconds. After waiting nearly 30 minutes, my prescription wasnt ready. People leaving the line and screaming as they left. Its amateur hour in there!!

2022-04-17Consistently understaffed since before Covid. Long waits, attitude (hard to blame professionals overburdened and mistreated by corporate). Last straw was being given the wrong medication for my toddler. Could have killed him if I didn’t notice it. I avoid unless absolutely necessary.

2022-06-08Just about nobody is pleasant there. Only reason my husband and I go there its because they are open 24 hours. They are just not nice. Cant blame it on covid for overwork because we have lived here many years and the past several years have always been the same. It must be contagious from one work or to another.

2022-05-03I wish I could give negative stars. Severely understaffed pharmacy. Terrible customer service. I always have to call numerous times to get answer about prescription status. I learned to never just go cause they are NEVER ready.

2022-05-11Severe lack of staff and organization. Sat online at the drive through for almost an hour and then told it was closed and to come inside. They have random people working who lack the proper training with a skeleton staff and no management. Awful customer service. Never again. No wonder the reviews are so bad.
