CVS in other cities:
So I scheduled and visited this location to get vaccinated for covid-19 and was refused service because of the pharmacists fear of my service dog(super friendly American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pitbull). I have all proper paperwork for him. The pharmacist said via another employment what she/he feared for everyones safety. I will never return to this location again. That was pure discrimination based on stereotypical fear and prejudice.
Security harasses women. Ive had multiple problems with security that I felt so uncomfortable, that i had to leave the store, more than once. He literally stares at me the entire time im shopping, follows me around the store, and watches me shop for personal hygiene items. Thats enough to make any woman uncomfortable. One time even went so far as to take my items from me to put on the counter for me. Ive never stolen from this place and i dont appreciate being treated like a thief when Im getting ready to pay for these overpriced items. Ive been to many stores that has security, but never have i dealt with such harrassment. Theres a difference between security watching for thieves, and security staring for 10 -20 minutes at one woman while shes picking out tampons, and following her around the store.
I will never come to this location again. Atrocious service- they could not care less about you and on top of that they are extremely rude! Further, there are very long lines so even if everything works out smoothly youll still have to wait an average of 20-30 minutes for your prescription.
I’m a black architect and I was racially profiled by a Spanish 5’6 employee ( her name is Christina I think ). when I was self chalking out a product she took the product off my hand she walked away saying “ I won’t give you until you paid” really really unprofessional
I was very taken aback when a manager asked me to not allow my child to touch products on the shelves—in effect, shop there. She’s 12 and was apparently knocking things over. When he told me this, he introduced the statement by saying: with all due respect, maam... So I allowed an extra star for that. I generally use the pharmacy only now and that is because it’s closest to my children’s school. We often go to Popeyes so we don’t starve to death waiting for our meds.
I wanted to check on my prescription that is on hold and after an hour waiting on the phone, they apparently don’t have it in stock. Then they didn’t bother to look up other cvs pharmacies that carry it. They didn’t offer to order it either. Worst cvs customer service ever.
Ive said it once and Ill say it a million more times, this is hands down the worst pharmacy in all on NYC. Prescriptions are never done on time and when you show up to get them the staff literally laugh at you because you should have telepathic abilities to know they are running waaayyy behind. I would say in the 3 years Ive been coming here this happens at least 50% of the time, thats freaking ridiculous! On top of that they have messed up my prescriptions before. But we all come back bc they are the only cvs in a 10 block radius
Dont listen to haters! These people really care about the customer. Ive gotten unsolicited calls from them concerning meds and if they need to call the doctor for me, theyve taken the time to explain how and when to take meds. Theyve really gone the extra mile. Yes sometimes you have to wait a little, but look at the area theyre serving. Its a heavily populated area! Theyre awesome!!
The Minute Clinic PA (I think he was) was great. I had to wait a while but I arrived just in time for their closed period Im assuming for lunch. Again, the PA was great he was very patient and thorough. I waited on line for the pharmacy but my prescriptions werent quite ready. The ladies attending to the line were very nice as well. I would say every employee I encountered was well mannered and helpful. And then there was the Pharmacist or Pharmacy tech, whatever she was. She seemed annoyed that I dared to ask her questions. Silly me for inquiring about medication that I have to pay for.
Its the most convenient to my apt, so it has to do in a pinch. Yes the lines are ridiculous, but there were plenty of cashiers so it went fast. I had a problem with my young male cashier who couldnt grasp basic customer service skills, so I asked for the manager, and spoke to him. Manager is named Ron and lemme tell you hes great! He listened and I was heard. Rons a very professional manager and hes why Ill shop there again. I can tell hes trying to make the store a success. The staff was very helpful to me and several other customers of all ages and races. There is no bias here like other places in the area. This is also a fantastic location, right by everything including the 2/3 trains and many buses. The coupon printer worked, too, which is unusual for most CVS locations where I work in Chelsea. Its very organized and positive overall. If you have any probs, ask for Ron. Hell make it right.
Unbelievably rude check out woman. Its shame because she was stunning and her attitude made her less than ugly. I was simply using my $20 CVS cash and was told I owe more money. I simply said really because I picked put items buy one get 50% off and only 4 items at that. Immediately after I questioned the total the associate whipped her screen around said, sir as you can see its all right there. Because she was so combative I didnt bring up the fact that she had wrung up one item three times. Her attitude was so repulsive. I told her to forget about the transaction. As I walked away she said, but you still have $20 in coupons. I said , oh you can keep those because Ill never be shopping at CVS again. CVS associates are rude and helpless. I stopped using the pharmacy because the Tech went to speak to him about my prescription. As she was walking away from the Pharmacist she said loud enough, well just wanted to double check, with your medications youre medications you are most likely a pill seeker. I was mortified and called both managers over and had them call their regional manger. The next day when I went to pick up the prescriptions I learned she was fired. CVS you are the worst chain store I have ever shopped in. I will definitely be shopping Duane Reade always and forever now.
I went into the minute clinic and was so skeptical. Turned out to be the best decision.Walked in with horrible throat pains. Was treated very professionally and pleasantly by Dr Aluem Tark. Diagnosed within 20min, walked out of CVS with advil, a new tootbrush, yogurt (all the things i needed) and my antibiotics within 35min. It was amazing.
I was at this location this week waiting on a long line only to update my insurance card. As I was leaving the security guard followed me and said Hey what did you put in your bag? Mind you I hadnt even left the store. I gave him my bag and told him to look through it. He dumped my stuff out on the floor and wasnt even going to pick it up. Luckily someone else saw him doing this. He found nothing my my bag. I spoke to the Manager who was very apologetic but this place needs a major overhaul on many levels. Hopefully corporate reads these reviews and does something.

2022-05-24Tonight, I was racial profiled and had the police called on me and was accused of harassment , threatening and other things that I didn’t do. They stole my money and refused to give me my medication. Once the police come the pharmacists ran and went home and didn’t even file a report cause they knew they were wrong. I literally can’t wait to seek legal action in the morning.

2022-01-15This CVS has the worst pharmacy in New York, their service is terrible you either standing on a long line or they never answer their phones to speak about customers medicine. The pharmacist doesn’t know what they are doing this place is overall the worst do not have you elderly family medicine sent there they would receive the worst service and treated poorly. There a pharmacy across the street that’s very helpful and fast they have an awesome Pharmacies that can assist you in all different types of area and also takes very good at taking care of the elderly stay away from CVS pharmacy they are known for medical neglect…..

2021-08-26We were in the CVS store to get the second shot. The lady at the consultation window was very rude and unprofessional. The person who did the vaccine was in a hurry. I was trying explain the allergy that my son had, she did not even listen, ask questions. The arm was painful after the vaccine. That did not happen after the first vaccine. Everything has done in 3-4 seconds and she went back to behind the counter to start packing prescriptions for other customers. This place is a mess.

2022-02-06One of the worst of all CVS locations. Employee don’t do absolutely nothing and it’s very hard to find anyone in the store for help. Lines are insane and no one at cashier desk.CVS do something or close this location.

2021-08-02Whenever I visit this location. The sales personnel are very helpful and the store is clean and orderly. I love recieving cash back unexpectedly which makes me feeling appreciated for spending my money with them. (CVS) They also try to get you out, once you are finished business, as humanly possible.

2021-08-04Not the biggest fan of this location. The people in the pharmacy section were not flexible with changing our COVID vaccine appointment (even though they offer walk in options) and the store was completely empty at the time. While I was asking questions, they were passive aggressive as well. Instead, we canceled our appointment online and decided to go somewhere else where they took us right away.

2021-05-03Worst CVS Ive ever been to. Most employees are incredibly rude and have ZERO customer service experience. I called the front store to tell them that the Pharmacy hasnt been answering their calls for days and the employee said they were probably ignoring me so I asked if he could go over there and tell them to pick up the phone as its an urgent request and he said he couldnt because he was the only one in the front except his manager so I asked to speak to the manager and he hung up on me. They must be desperate in hiring at this location as they hire idiots like the above. Stay away from this location.

2017-03-12I get to this location at 7AM thinking the store would be open today. I was wrong. Apparently, this location doesnt keep normal hours. I call number and the woman inside says she cant open the store unless someone is in the store with her. She went onto say that someone was supposed to be there at 7AM, but didnt show up yet. Im waiting here for a good 15 minutes until I see an employee casually walking across the street and into the store. I am PISSED. I hate that this is my local CVS!
