CVS in other cities:
I have been calling for hours and no one picks up the phone. I placed an on-line order for the same day pick up and even gave them an extra day and my order is still pending! Im calling and calling to see if its ready but Its a waste of time. I you cant deliver what people pay for STOP taking their $$$$ for bad service.
The Customer Service is unacceptable. The wait time to speak with a Pharmacy Representative or Pharmacist via telephoneis in excess of thirty (30) minutes wait timeor there is no response. This CVS serves a vast demographic area, and the Customer Service requires an upgrade.
I’m here to write a review about a young man named Aaron’s professionalism. He did an amazing job handling an irritate customer. She was extremely nasty and aggressive. Aaron continued to be patient and when she would not stop her awful behavior he called on a manager to assist. I was very impressed by his professionalism . He is an excellent representative of your stores.
I get all my meds from here just cause I have to. The phone system is horrible, i seem to never be able to reach them or make it easier for myself to get my meds. I had a representative hang up on me because she couldn’t offer proper help. I work in customer service myself, very rude. The workers in the store in person are so kind though.
These people are so disorganized, the pharmacy sends you notifications saying your medication is ready when really they “don’t have it in stock” and give you the run around. The other day the pharmacist or the tech was sagging in his scrubs…. SAGGING IN HIS SCRUBS….. as well as not wearing mask. I don’t care if you’re vaccinated, I don’t care if you don’t believe in wearing a mask. People are sick and we’re still in a pandemic. Employees should have a mask on. As for the store itself disorganized, nobody knows anything or where anything is. GET IT TOGETHER.
Terrible customer service. No TP in the bathroom, and when I asked for some they said I’d have to wait. I bought some and used it. The walk-in vaccines supposedly start at 10, but they seemed utterly unprepared for them to start. They might think that walk in appointments starting at 10 means they should start preparing to give vaccines at that time.
I had a COVID vaccine scheduled today. Got there and was told “no more vaccines due to the storm and the store got flooded”. They didn’t call me to let me know ahead of time or even try to accommodate me since I had work. They just sent me to Walgreens as a walk-in. This location is literally a waste of space.
The worst pharmacy I ever been in my entire lifetime.I went Thursday about 1.30 pm for a filling prescription that I supposed to take in the night at bedtime.. I figure out that was too busy so I left it for today Friday..When I went today, an young man who was just a helper there trying to check on the computer what was my prescription and he asked me my personal information like about 3 times.....I get upset and I told him to check better in the computer.. was so leasy and without mood for work..I tried to get in contact again with him cause was so slow and one of the assistant yell at me!!!This is the way they perform there.. which
The worst place to ever go to get your prescription meds. I walked in and was trying to get my prescription and geeeez it was like hell. The guy lady at the pharmacy was so arrogant and disrespectful and should be fired from that position. A simple phone call to confirm my prescription he denied doing that and I had to go back to the hospital so they could change the location and give me a new prescription. I needed that medication 💊 so badly and I was really sick. Question? Why are most health Care workers arrogant, rude, disrespectful, ignorant and always unhappy. My advice if you don’t like the job then quit but stop acting like ignorant fools…
They would only provide a third dose if you had a certain medication with them or if you had a note from a doctor. This violates the CDC, NY, NYC, and CVS policies/guidance. Medical discrimination is a crime. Plus you shouldnt need your meds to be with them, tax money paid for the vaccines. It shouldnt be based on who gets their business. Its also ridiculous to expect someone to share their personal information publicly. You cant tell what someone has by looking at them.
Only giving this many stars because the store staff is great, very friendly, and helpful. Unfortunately the pharmacy is the worst Ive ever been to in my life. I stopped going there because it was awful, but due to the Rite Aid/Walgreens transition, my regular pharmacy, there have been some ordering issues so I had to make a temporary switch. Despite having the correct phone number on file, no one at CVS bothered to let me know that the medication was out of stock until days after the script was sent and I went to go pick up. Laughably, I received the out of stock text while in store four days after they already knew they were out. I was told a delivery was being made the following day so I went back only to find that a delivery was made but not for the dose I needed and furthermore, that strength hadnt even been ordered. Look, I get that stocking issues happen, but if you dont want to have angry customers you need to tell them! I would have had my prescription sent elsewhere. I dont even know if they are planning to order it. At this point Ill just have to have the doctor cancel it and send elsewhere. My sister goes here regularly and picks up the same prescription every month and even though the script is the same, insurance is the same, there is almost never a time her transaction goes smoothly. The pharmacy is so bad, a number of customers were discussing their issues and stories with one another while in line.
I needed a flu shot but I have been extremely careful about COVID19. I didnt want to hang around in a pharmacy. I called the pharmacy and talked to Claudette, the pharmacist. She was great about preparing things before-hand and setting up a time for me to come in. Besides doing things quickly, I barely felt anything when she gave me the injection. Highly recommended.
Pharmacy call on hold for over half an hour unanswered. Main CVS headquarters customer service the same. Pharmacy failed to update me on status by text as promised. Line in store unacceptably slow with 12 persons in line and not moving for over 10 minutes with only a single person at the counter. I submitted my RX yesterday am not ready today at minutes now before close 9 PM. My medical procedure will have to be cancelled causing multiple inconveniences and financial damages.
This CVS pharmacy was a very very good pharmacy at one point, but as of the past few months they have declined terribly. Pharmacy techs appear to have an attitude and make you feel uncomfortable to approach. If they no longer carrying the medication that you have had on file they do not inform the customer until your physically there at the pharmacy
I really dont go there often, because the lines are always long as ever & take forever. Always only one cashier working. Self checkout is nice though which they do have. The pharmacy line is WOW, REDICOULOS! I went two days ago literally just to ask a question. About 12 or 13 people were waiting online & not moving. Happy I cought a pharmacist to speak with outside of the pharmacy area. Will also say that pharmacist was very kind & respectful. Last thing is Im cautious money-wise. Am in NYC. This CVS pharmacy is a bit more pricy shopping wise then other pharmacys I have been to in the area.
The reviews about the pharmacy are not an exaggeration. Listen up corporate and DO something to fix this pharmacy! When people are in line with sick children for 30+ minutes waiting for medicine this is unacceptable. I have never waited less than 30 minutes here, it’s usually closer to 45. Even if my dr called in a script and I wait a week to go get it, it’s not ready. The staff is trying to keep up but can’t. It’s miserable for them and as a result it’s a revolving door w endless staff turnover. I’d quit too! Go ANYWHERE else in Riverdale. I’m making the switch after years because I’ve had enough.
The store is well stocked. You can count on great deals here. The staff is very personable and accommodating ready to answer any questions you may have. You can checkout with an associate or at the five or so self check out stations. Very convenient.Since it is convenient to shop here, as soon as I walk in I immediately check the prescription line. Sometimes, you do get lucky with no line. The pharmacy has room for improvement. They do not answer the phone even during off peak hours. It is difficult using coupons and vouchers as you need to go from pickup to consult to pickup. There is usually a ton of people at pickup standing over each other. The long pickup line sometimes blocks the consult desk. That makes things confusing and hectic. The allergy section is by the pickup line and other shoppers often have to shop in between those waiting for their prescriptions. Its kind of the consumers faults for being so disrespectful of each others space. Yeah, I know its NYC but be humane please!!A plus is that there is a parking lot, however, it is always jammed. People wait like vultures in inconvenient places making it difficult to navigate about the lot. When the store is empty the lot is still full. They do have two spaces reserved for Capital One customers, but that goes unheeded of course. The staff that makes this place. Sometimes, the overworked pharmacy team is even nice. Kudos to them! However, if you have a car you may have a better, more expedited experience at another location.
This is the worst CVS pharmacy. They say prescriptions will be ready in whatever time you go hours later and are still not ready. They also keep calls on hold 30+ Minutes and dont care. I called and walked in 1/2 hour later while still on hold and they have 7 calls holding and couldnt care or pick up phone. Also often fill prescriptions incorrectly a.d dont care. Go to any other pharmacy including CVS.
For the record no stars. Pharmacy is a waste of space it is so horrible. I came out of the minuet clinic for a antibiotic by the time i got it i could have dropped dead waiting. They say my prescription is ready and when i get there waiting 15 minuets on the line it was not even ready. I went into the ER and they sent a script over 3 pm on a Monday I went to pick it up Tuesday around 5pm they didnt even start making it yet. I wish RiteAid took my insurance i never had a issue. I rather risk going without my high blood pressure medication then waiting for it to be filled i have less a stroke risk if i didnt go there to pick it up. I doubt they will do anything to fix it but i felt i should inform all customers. If CVS is reading this change you have a lot of elderly people that come in and its not fare to them to stand in line and wait to attempt to get medication. Either work better or hire new people.
Not a very responsive pharmacy. One must wait on the phone for 10+ minutes to get through to the pharmacy. I got my first Shingrix vaccine in August and am waiting for the second shot. I know the medicine is in short-supply by the manufacturer, but every other CVS has a waiting list. This store does not. Why not?
So today I went for my scheduled appointment to get the covid testing done when I arrived into the parking lot I assumed that there would be a reserved parking spot for people who were getting the testing done (there wasn’t) luckily I got a parking spot as someone was backing out. This parking lot is small and there were cars there that were double parked. I saw the testing area( a white tent with a red chair underneath) in the corner of the parking lot so I went over and noticed that a girl was doing it herself and not wearing a mask nor wearing gloves, she was being directed by a man who was keeping his distance and when she was done swabbing her nose she end up coughing and not covering her mouth and she placed everything where it was supposed to be (in a sealed bag) and the man told her to place it in the metal box on the table she was directly in front of (her coughing definitely went all over and can only imagine how many people have done this too) and she was actually recording everything on her cell phone that was leaned up against the metal box that has all the covid tests in it on the table and left with her mother. It was my turn and the guy took my insurance card and went into CVS and then he came back and apologized and stated system went down, I could either wait or come back, I end up waiting and it was only for 10 minutes and LUCKILY I had gloves in my car. BRING GLOVES AND ANTIBACTERIAL SANITIZER. And I pulled my mask down to my nose as you should... so at least if you do sneeze/cough your not spreading it, anyway the test was easy and the guy directing the entire thing was nice and knowledgeable, let me know about an email I would receive and how long it would take. I was just confused because I thought this would take place in my car but whatever.
Lots and lots of trouble to get a prescription done. Big line. Even with three people behind the counter, phone calls are not answered-- and thats after you navigate the difficult and redundant answering machine service. I wouldnt recommend this place at all for any prescriptions. I went though hell to get mine and it took two weeks that I was without my breathing medication!
They never answer the phone you will never get anyone on the phone to talk to you about your prescription the customer service is horrible I went there one day and I said I’ve been calling here for three weeks about my medication before it’s time to field and no one answers the phone The pharmacy tech answered me and said that’ we don’t have enough workers so we don’t have time to answer the phone if you need to find out about your medication you must come to the store I was having an issue with my breathing and my doctor prescribed me medication they gave me six pill and told me they have nothing more I have to wait for another shipment call nine Shernes make sure it was on the phone waiting to talk to the pharmacy for three hours and no one answered
This place is absolutely horrible. Like a month or two ago there was this very nice employee there with blonde hair and she was very helpful. I started coming back thinking this place isn’t as bad as it used to be. I came in a week ago hoping to buy hair products and come to find out the only employee who was respectful to me and actually of help isn’t even there anymore. I’m going back to Walgreens again.
At the main counter there’s usually only one person, even when there’s a line. Pharmacy is slow as well. Kids are also there’s a lot after school, and they are normal kids so they aren’t exact quiet. However if you ever need candy or that, this is your place. Just don’t be in a rush
I love this pharmacy! They are wonderful and so efficient. My husband has Cystic Fibrosis and Diabetes and they handle his prescriptions, and other medical needs with kit gloves. They always have everything prepared and know us. I adore the staff and they are really on top of things. My job insurance has changed and we use CVS Healthcare.
Do not go into this CVS store to shop. From the moment you walk in their workers are on top of you asking you if you need help when in fact theyre really sizing you up. One time a worker followed me to the vitamins aisle offering help. When I asked her where a specific vitamin was, she walked away, which meant she was not really there to help me. Recently, i went in to shop for a few things i needed. When I rang myself up at the automated checkout, a male worker, black, snuck up behind me and asked All set? while peaking into my bag. Thereve been other instances as well. Ive never been so embarrassed and humiliated to shop in a store. The store manager has the workers hopping around like private investigators on speed. The store manager should be fired for preaching this type of customer service. I go to Rite Aid instead, where Im more comfortable shopping.
I have been trying to call the pharmacy for the past week. No one answers even after waiting for 20 minutes. I walked into the pharmacy To try to get an update. I’m filling a generic widely available RX and they don’t have it in stock and can’t tell me when it will be ready. Go to a better pharmacy like DJ Drugs.
Store manager is very unprofessional and super rude on multiple occasions. How does he still work there? I thought it was just one bad day, seems to be one bad life by his attitude. Such a shame how one attitude can effect customer experiences and staff. Never using this location again.
This place is horrible, terrible wait times, they lose prescriptions all the time. Refill meds when a refill is not requested, new cashier every day who has no idea what they are doing. I should open a pharmacy across the street and make a killing because of how incompetent this cvs is.
One of the staff working at the pharmacy violated my HIPPA rights. He shouted my full name, birthday, prescription, and its purpose over the phone to another CVS worker in another store. It was such a loud conversation that everyone in line heard all of my private information. Will be reporting them.
CVS Pharmacy! Enemas, ice cream, DVDs. Convenient to Johnson Avenue, there is a rear parking lot so you can avoid street metered parking. Pharmacy staff is friendly but there is always a line of 2-3 people no matter when I go, and one of the customers will inevitably take a long long time. You can go to Starbucks on the corner while you wait to pickup your prescription.
These technicians are working hard to give us medication during a time of crisis and uncertainty they could be home with their families but they choose to service the Riverdale communityIt is disgusting the way they are spoken to by customers when told they have to wait an extra minute or no refills left .. I think they are doing amazing the new staff working have made great improvements I wish I knew the ladies names but I just want to thank them all
Went in for 1 hour photos, came back and no one printed them out. Literally took a few clicks on a computer screen to get the printing started. Not even an apology for the extra wait time. Poor customer service, manager over heard and didnt even acknowledge the cashier or myself.
Theres always a problem filling my prescriptions, they tell me my insurance doesnt cover it(witch it does) or charge me full price for a refill because AGAIN my insurance doesnt cover it (and it does) or The Most Common is not in stock and they have to order it They SUCK!!

2022-03-15This pharmacy represents everything that is awful in the American medical system. Staff is generally pleasant, but they are either woefully understaffed, undertrained, or not qualified. Filling or picking up a prescription is generally an exercise in absolute frustration, with unacceptable delays and angry patrons. Also, the organization of the vaccine administration was unacceptable. After making an appointment online, there was no evidence that appointments were given any priority over walk-ins, and there was no order, other than standing on a line, which defeats the point of a list or appointment, so people with later appointments were attended to before people with earlier appointments, just based on where they were standing. This also makes it more difficult to socially distance during a pandemic. Also, I had made an appointment for two vaccines (Pfizer covid booster and flu), but they did not have flu shots, which would require trying a second appointment and visit, which I was not going to do.

2022-03-28I received my two vaccines here, the staff was very friendly, the first time the sweetest lady attended me, I didnt feel a thing. She was very attentive to me. and even made sure I stayed in the store for 15 min. but oh man the second one, I wanted the same person who placed the first one on me, but she wasnt there. So I had someone else, she made me wait at least 10 min. when she came out she was in a rush to get it done with and jabbed it in me. I was bleeding a bit. I didnt bleed for the first one, I was a bit confused and even concern. long story short make sure to let them know in advance who ever it is to be gentle. if they are in a rush dont do what I did and not say anything. tell them politely.

2022-05-03The pharmacy is understaffed and I have regularly gotten conflicting answers any time I’ve asked questions related to my prescriptions, even directly from the pharmacist. Additionally in the past year of using this pharmacy, there seems to be a consistent issue with medicines being backordered or not kept in stock. Steer clear of this location.

2022-01-05This branch is endlessly short-staffed, causing long lines to the pharmacy and the inability to EVER get through via the phone. They have never properly filled a single Rx in six months. The workers are usually nice but typically incompetent.

2022-01-26This pharmacy is EXTREMELY RUDE when ever they finally answer the phone. They can never follow instructions or help you as much as other CVS pharmacy department. They deserve zero stars!

2022-01-06This place is a joke. I really feel sorry for the innocent employees that have to put up with this crazy. Came to picknup my prescription, was told to wait an hour. Returned 2 days later and I was to to wait 40 minutes. 1 and a half hours later Im still waiting.

2021-12-09They dont deserve any stars at all- but the only way to leave a review is to give at least 1. They are horrible. No one answers the phone in pharmacy EVER and they can be rude when you go in to pick up meds. If i had an option to go to another cvs near me I would.

2022-07-05No one picks up the phone when you call the pharmacy. The pharmacy staff are very rude and indifferent. I changed to another pharmacy.

2022-01-08Long lines and constantly out of stock on medications. They never answer the phone, extremely frustrating, not to mention a bad attitude on most, not all, pharmacy staff.
